Getting Enrolled
The next morning, Lincoln wakes up and heads for a dining area to have some breakfast with Professor Sycamore.
"Are you excited to get yourself enrolled at the Pokemon School?" Professor Sycamore asked Lincoln.
"You bet I am." said Lincoln. As he reaches for a slice of toast, the sleeve on the arm that was stretched out suddenly rips.
"I take it your clothes got all worn out during your ordeal out at sea?" asked Professor Sycamore.
"That, and I live in a very hectic household." said Lincoln. "Do you think I can get some new clothes for myself?"
"I'm sure we can take the time to do that before heading to Santalune City." said Professor Sycamore.
"Thank you." said Lincoln. After the two finished eating and brushed their teeth, they exit Professor Sycamore's lab and walked to the nearest clothing stone in the city. Lincoln looks around as he and Professor Sycamore walk down the street; as he looks around, he sees a very tall tower at the center of Lumiose.
They soon reach the clothing store where they go inside and have Lincoln pick out an outfit for himself to wear. Twenty minutes later, they both come out, with Lincoln wearing an orange, short-sleeved shirt with a white stripe going around the middle of it; over a white, long-sleeved shirt; along with blue jeans, and white sneakers; he also got himself an orange, long-sleeved, zip up jacket as well.
"How do you like your new clothes?" asked Professor Sycamore.
"I love them." said Lincoln. "I feel like I've been wearing the same outfit I had before for a long time."
The two return to Professor Sycamore's lab and get into a jeep; they then start heading south of Lumiose towards their destination.
As they travel down the road, Lincoln looks at his new surroundings; near the city gate was a large fountain, and also on the way, he sees a bunch of hedge mazes, and of course he saw the many kinds of Pokemon that inhabited the area; such as a white humanoid Pokemon with a green dome covering the top half of its head and had two red protrusions sticking out the front and back of it (Ralts), a green, bulblike Pokemon with small feet (Budew), and a pink, catlike Pokemon (Skitty).
"This is so amazing." said Lincoln as he continues to take in the sights. Professor Sycamore looks at Lincoln with a smile, glad his mind wasn't focused on his traumatizing experience.
They soon reach Santalune City where Professor Sycamore parks his jeep next to a park that had a few kids and Pokemon playing together in it.
"So this is Santalune City, huh?" asked Lincoln.
"Yes, it's a nice little city." said Professor Sycamore. "Let's get you to the Pokemon School." As the two head down the street, Lincoln looks around at the sights until the two arrive at a moderate-sized building.
"Is this the place?" asked Lincoln as he looks at the building.
"Yes, it is; the Santalune City Pokemon School." said Professor Sycamore. The two head inside and enter the main lobby. Lincoln takes a look around and see some kids walking down the hall with several Pokemon that he wasn't quite familiar with yet.
The two enter the main office and walk up to a door inside that Professor Sycamore knocks on.
"Enter." a male voice from inside says. The two go in and enter an office where Lincoln sees a desk with a man with short brown hair and beard, wearing a gray suit, sitting behind it.
"Ahh; hello, Professor Sycamore." said the man.
"Hello, Principal Samson." Professor Sycamore replies.
"What brings you to my humble school?" asked the man now identified as Professor Samson. Professor Sycamore and Lincoln sit down on two chairs that were in front of the principal's desk.
"First, allow me to introduce you to my young friend here, Lincoln Loud." said Professor Sycamore as he gestures to Lincoln.
"Hello, young man." said Principal Samson.
"Hello, sir." Lincoln replied.
"So, to get straight to the point, I came to get Lincoln enrolled here." said Professor Sycamore.
"Is that so?" Principal Samson replied. Professor Sycamore then tells the principal about how he found Lincoln washed ashore near Ambrette Town while Lincoln explains how he ended up there; Professor Sycamore then explains Lincoln's developing interest in Pokemon and how he would like to learn what he can about them and everything a Pokemon trainer should know regarding raising them.
"... and that is why I would like to get Lincoln enrolled here." said Professor Sycamore.
"I see." said Principal Samson who looks through a binder with a lot of pages in it. "You're in luck; there's a few spots open is Ms. Carla's class right now."
"So, it's okay for Lincoln to attend your school?" asked Professor Sycamore.
"I will except any student who wishes to learn here." said Principal Samson.
"That's good to hear." said Professor Sycamore.
"Ms. Nala's class is in room 2E." said Principal Samson. He gives them a map of the school and points out the classroom that Lincoln will be in, along with a locker location and combination for his use.
"Thank you, Principal Samson." said Professor Sycamore.
"Thank you, sir." said Lincoln.
"You're welcome." said Principal Samson.
Professor Sycamore and Lincoln exit Principal Samson's office and follow the map until they find room 2E; when they get there, they knock on the door.
"Come in." said a female voice. Professor Sycamore and Lincoln enter a classroom and see a young woman with red hair, wearing a pink, sleeveless top; tan khaki shorts, and pink, high-heeled shoes, sitting at a desk.
"Are you Ms. Carla?" Professor Sycamore asked the woman who looks at him, with her eyes widen in recognition.
"Professor Sycamore!" said the woman as she stands up. "Yes, I'm Ms. Carla; what can I do for you?"
"Well, I came to enroll young Lincoln Loud here at this Pokemon School, and Principal Samson has placed him in your class." Professor Sycamore explained to the woman, now identified as Ms. Carla, who looks over at Lincoln.
"It's nice to meet you." said Ms. Carla as she holds out her hand in greeting.
"It's nice to meet you also." said Lincoln as he shakes Ms. Carla's hand. They all go over Lincoln's class schedule and what school supplies he'll need. After that was done, Lincoln and Professor Sycamore look for Lincoln's locker, so he'd know where it is when he starts school there. Once everything was taken care of, Professor Sycamore takes Lincoln to a small shop and buys his school supplies for him.
Later, they were both at an outdoor cafe, with Lincoln having his Bagon out; having a few muffins to snack on, along with orange juice for Lincoln, and coffee for Professor Sycamore.
"What did you think of the Pokemon School, Lincoln?" asked Professor Sycamore.
"I think it's okay." said Lincoln.
"Are you nervous about starting your first day there?" asked Professor Sycamore.
"A little." said Lincoln. "I really don't know anyone there."
"I'm sure you'll make a few friends there soon." said Professor Sycamore.
"I hope so." said Lincoln as he thinks about his friends back in Royal Woods, especially Clyde; he wondered if he heard about the incident on Lake Eddy and what he must be feeling right now.
As the two continued to talk, Lincoln's Bagon spots something next to Lincoln's chair.
"Did you find something, Bagon?" asked Lincoln. He looks to see what Bagon was looking at and sees a pokeball that had a blue top half and a red ridge on each side of it.
"That's a Great Ball." said Professor Sycamore.
"What's so great about it?" asked Lincoln.
"No, Lincoln; that's a kind of a pokeball with a greater capture success rate than the one that you caught Bagon with." said Professor Sycamore.
"I think I better pay close attention to what they teach me at the Pokemon School." said Lincoln.
"That would be wise." said Professor Sycamore. After their food was paid for, Lincoln pockets the Great Ball he found, and then walks back with Professor Sycamore to the jeep.
Later, back in Lumiose City, Lincoln and Professor Sycamore were talking about Lincoln's travel arrangements to Santalune City and back.
"I can drive you to the Pokemon School in the mornings, then pick you up at about the time that classes end." said Professor Sycamore.
"Okay." said Lincoln.
"Still nervous?" asked Professor Sycamore.
"Yeah." said Lincoln.
"I'm sure you'll do fine." said Professor Sycamore. "Compared to what you've been through, the Pokemon School should be no problem." Lincoln frowns as he remembers his ordeal and wonder what happened to his family. Bagon, sensing Lincoln's sorrow, nuzzles his hand with his head, making the white-haired boy smile a bit.
That night, after dinner, Lincoln was lying on his bed with his Bagon, who for some reason kept jumping up off the bed and crashing to the floor, while watching the end credits for a small Pokemon tournament that he was just watching. He then sees you.
"Well, tomorrow; I start learning about everything I can about Pokemon." said Lincoln. "I hope my family's okay; if they are, I hope I can somehow make contact with them. It's weird that I can't reach them by phone from here. Anyway, I'll worry about that later, I need to get some sleep." Lincoln turns off the lamp at his bedside and he and Bagon go to sleep.
The next morning in Royal Woods at the Loud house, Lincoln's family was all dressed up nicely, even Lana, with Lynn Sr looking at everyone with determination on his face.
"So, everyone; who's ready to sue Flip?" Lynn Sr. asked his family.
"WE ARE!" shouts Rita and the Loud sisters.
"We're gonna sue that nacho cheese-eating slimeball for every penny he has!" said Lola.
"And Clyde gave us that footage about other things that Flip has done before!" said Lori.
"If I knew he uses the nacho cheese dispensers as foot spas, I never would've had the nachos at the Food 'n Fuel!" said Lynn Jr with a look of disgust on her face.
"That's gross!" said Lana.
"And that's saying a lot coming from someone who eats worms!" said Lola.
"Focus, kids." said Rita. "We still have to sue that man!"
"Yeah, let's do it for Lincoln!" said Lana, making everyone sulk at the mention of their 'presumed dead' brother/son.
"I hope Flip gets prison for life." said Luan.
"Prison's too good for him; he'll get free room and board there!" said Luna. "We should take everything from him, forcing him to live out on the street, eating stuff out of dumpsters!"
"What's so bad about eating out of dumpsters?" asked Lana.
"Anyway, let's get to the courthouse." said Rita.
"Yeah, we got a lawsuit to win!" said Lynn Jr.
The family takes a long look at the picture of Lincoln they have on their fireplace mantle, then head out to Vanzilla, get inside, and start making their way to the Royal Woods courthouse.
Lincoln's about to start learning about Pokemon, and his family is about to destroy Flip (financially of course, not that he doesn't deserve to be destroyed physically.) What does the future hold for everyone? Wait and find out.
