Another Day in the Crimson Mirelands
Lynn, Lincoln, Lucy, Lana, and Lisa continue to search for the location of the frenzied Lilligant.
"I wish we knew whether we're getting close to where Lady Lilligant is." said Lynn.
"Do you think we should head back to the Diamond Settlement to ask Arezu if she knows where she's at?" asked Lincoln.
"It would be a better use of time than wandering around this area." said Lisa.
"Let's head back." said Lucy.
While the five head back towards the Diamond Settlement, somewhere in the western part of the Crimson Mirelands, Luna and Lola just arrived and headed to where the group of Teddiursas, that Lily got hers from, was located.
"Let's move it!" said Lola.
"Maybe you should train up your Pokemon while you're here." said Luna. "The wild ones here are tougher than the ones in the Obsidian Fieldlands."
"Fine." said Lola.
During the training, Lola's Ponyta battled a decent number of the Budews and Parases found in the area and soon learned Flame Wheel and Hypnosis, her Sylveon got stronger, and her Happiny learned Draining Kiss.
Luna also takes the time to train her Pokemon for a bit; her Staravia learned Double Edge, her Dustox learned Venoshock, her Kricketune learned X-Scissor, and her Sneasel learned Poison Jab.
As the two continue making their way through the area, they soon reach the spot with the mud pools, making Luna chuckle a bit.
"What's so funny?" asked Lola.
"That Clover girl and Irida were fighting over Lincoln here." said Luna, making Lola's eyes widen before giggling.
"What else happened?" asked Lola.
"Well, Irida and Clover each kissed Lincoln a bunch of times." said Luna.
"Wish I was there to see that!" said Lola.
The two kept on walking until they reached the large mound of sludge that Lynn battled Ursaluna on.
"Are we almost there?" asked Lola.
"Just about." said Luna.
Meanwhile, at the Diamond Settlement; Lynn, Lincoln, Lucy, Lana, and Lisa just got done getting directions to where Lady Lilligant was from Arezu.
"Wish we'd thought to ask you for directions earlier." said Lucy.
"Well, we know where Lady Lilligant is now." said Lincoln.
"I hope you all can calm her." said Arezu.
"We will do our utmost best to help resolve the situation." said Lisa.
"I still don't know how one so young can have such an advanced vocabulary." said Arezu.
"Hopefully next time we find one of those tablets, we can regain a memory that can answer that question." said Lincoln.
"Well, we better get going." said Lynn. Lincoln sees that the sun was starting to go down.
"Let's wait until tomorrow." said Lincoln.
"I suppose it would be wise not to wander around in the dark, trying to find our way to where the frenzied Lady Lilligant is." said Lisa.
"I don't mind the dark." said Lucy.
"How come?" asked Lana.
"I don't know." said Lucy.
"Maybe you can train your new Ralts for a while." suggested Lana.
"I guess I could for a little while." said Lincoln.
"And I want to train my Pokemon also." said Lucy.
"I'll stay with you then, Lucy." said Lincoln.
"I'll take Lana and Lisa back to the Bogbound Camp." said Lynn.
"See you in a bit then." said Lincoln.
Back with Luna and Lola, they were getting closer to where their siblings found the Teddiursas. They soon find the area and see the small bear Pokemon patting their bellies after eating.
"EEEEEEEEEEE! Look at all those cute Teddiursas!" said Lola, getting the Pokemon's attention.
"Which one are you gonna catch?" asked Luna. Lola looks over at the nearest one who was asleep, making her tremble with excitement.
"That one!" said Lola. She takes an empty pokeball out of her satchel and tosses it at the Teddiursa, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles once before a firework shoots out of it.
"Yippee!" cheered Lola as she runs over to her newly captured Teddiursa's pokeball and picks it up. Luna looks up and sees it was starting to get dark.
"Let's go to Bogbound Camp." said Luna. "We can spend the night there."
"Can I cuddle my new Teddiursa while I sleep?" asked Lola.
"Sure." said Luna. She and Lola make their way to the Bogbound Camp; they reach it just when Lynn, Lana, and Lisa, arrive.
"Hey, Lola!" said Lana when she sees her twin sister.
"What are you doing here?" asked Lynn.
"She saw Lily's Teddiursa..." Luna started to say.
"And just had to have one for herself?" asked Lisa.
"Yeah." said Luna. Lola takes her Teddiursa's pokeball and opens it, releasing the Pokemon inside.
"She's so adorable!" said Lola as she hugged her newest Pokemon.
"Where are Lucy and Lincoln at?" asked Luna.
"They're training up their Pokemon for a while." said Lynn.
"Oh." said Luna.
"Well, we just got directions from Arezu on how to get to where Lady Lilligant is at." said Lynn.
"We'll head there tomorrow morning." said Lisa.
Meanwhile, Lincoln was training up his new Ralts, while Lucy trained her Gastly.
Lincoln's Ralts learned Teleport and Psybeam while Lucy's Gastly learned Hypnosis. During the training, both Pokemon glowed.
"They're evolving." said Lucy. She and Lincoln watched as their Pokemon began to change; when they stopped, Lincoln's Ralts was taller, had a white torso and arms, skinny green legs, a white head with green hair going down the sides of his head to his shoulders and a flat red horn on each side of his head.
Lucy's Gastly was down purple with three spiky protrusions on each side of her head and a pair of disembodied hands in front of her.
"What do you think our Pokemon are now, Lincoln?" asked Lucy.
"Don't know; we'll have to ask Lisa." replied Lincoln. He lets out a yawn. "Let's head to the Bogbound Camp."
"I guess I could use a rest myself." replied Lucy. She returned her newly-evolved Gastly to her pokeball and she, Lincoln, and his newly-evolved Ralts begin walking to the direction of the Bogbound Camp.
The two soon arrive and show Lisa their newly evolved Pokemon.
"Lincoln, your Ralts is now a Kirlia." said Lisa before she tells him the moves he most likely learned before evolving. "And Lucy, your Gastly is now a Haunter." She then tells Lucy the move she most likely learned.
"Awesome!" cheered Lincoln.
"Wicked." said Lucy.
"Let's get some sleep." said Lola who was on her futon with her Teddiursa in her arms under the covers.
"Yeah, we want to be fully rested for tomorrow." said Lisa. The Louds get their futons ready and go to sleep.
Sometime during the night, Lucy gets out of bed and makes her way over to the ruins that Lincoln got his Ralts at.
As she heads for her destination, she sees a blackish blue, birdlike Pokemon landing on the ground and begins preening its wing.
"I don't know what this Pokemon is, but it feels like my kind of Pokemon." said Lucy. She takes out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing her Crobat. The birdlike Pokemon sees her and flies up off the ground, glaring at Crobat.
"Crobat, Air Cutter." said Lucy. Crobat flaps her wings and releases light blue blades of energy that hits the Pokemon, knocking it back. The Pokemon flies at Crobat while white streaks surrounds its body and it rams Crobat, knocking it back.
"Crobat, Cross Poison." said Lucy. The top pair of Crobat's wings glowed purple and she strikes the Pokemon with them, knocking it to the ground. Lucy takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at the Pokemon, hitting it, and sucking it in; it wiggled a few times until a firework shoots up from it. "I caught a new Pokemon." She returns Crobat to her pokeball and continues towards the ruins.
When she reaches her destination, she examines the area to see if she could find some old relics that would give her a clue as to what the ruins used to be.
As she checks out the some fallen pillars, something sticking out of the dirt gets her attention.
"What is that?" Lucy asked herself. She grabs the item and gently pulls it out of the ground, revealing it to be a sheet of paper with what looked like a poem written on it.
"O you, who at the world's far-off end dwell,
I know your wish—it is my wish as well.
My own beloved is now gone from me,
departed to a place I cannot reach.
My old companions have left me behind,
their faces faded into days gone by.
Still to my breast I clutch this hopeless dream,
a futile wish for us once more to meet.
Oh you, who at the world's far-off end dwell
I know your wish—it is my wish as well.
But ours are cold and endless winter days,
warmed only by memories locked away."
"There's something about this poem that seems to give me a feeling that feels familiar to me." said Lucy. She decides to put the poem in her satchel and heads back to the Bogbound Camp.
The next morning, after everyone's had breakfast, they get ready to head for the location of Lady Lilligant.
"Who's ready to quell a noble?" asked Lynn with determination in her voice.
"We are!" Lynn's siblings, who were in the Crimson Mirelands with her, replied.
"Then let's get going." said Lynn.
"Lisa, I caught a new Pokemon last night." said Lucy. She takes out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing the birdlike Pokemon.
"That would be a Murkrow." said Lisa. "It appears to be male, and it should know Gust, Snarl, Roost, and Aerial Ace."
As Lincoln looks up at the morning sky, something else gets his attention.
"Check that out!" said Lincoln, drawing everyone's attention to a large clear dome that was sticking out from behind the rock cliff their camp was next to.
"It's one of those weird domes again." said Luna.
"What's it doing here?" asked Lynn.
"I wish to examine it." said Professor Laventon. "I want to learn more about it."
"I'll go with you." said Lincoln. "How about some of you go to where Lady Lilligant is?"
"I'll head over there." said Luna. "I need to drop the medicine off at the Diamond Settlement for those Psyducks anyway."
"I'll go with you, Luna." said Lynn.
"Me, too." said Lana.
"I'll accompany Professor Laventon." said Lisa. "I want to learn more about the strange phenomenon myself."
"I'll go into it." said Lucy. "Maybe I'll find something to sell so I can pay back Lola."
"I'll come along so you can give me whatever you find." said Lola.
"Sigh." said Lucy.
Luna, Lynn, and Lana are off to quell Lady Lilligant, while Lincoln, Lucy, Lola, and Professor Laventon are going to another dome. What will both groups experience as their work with the Galaxy Team Survey Corps continues?
