Another New Campsite
The Galaxy Team Survey Corps, along with Warden Ingo, were continuing on their way to Lord Electrode after their close call in the Ancient Quarry involving the Miss Fortune Bandits; right now, they were travelling through a small canyon pass.
"Where are we going now?" asked Lana.
"We're heading for a place that would be a great spot for a new campsite." said Professor Laventon.
"Sweet." said Lynn.
"Yeah, it's gonna be getting dark real soon so a place to spend the night would be great." said Lincoln.
"I don't mind the dark." Lucy says from behind her brother, startling him.
"The area is right by a river that's at the other end of this path." said Professor Laventon.
"Let's get going then." said Akari said as she grabs Lincoln's hand and begins pulling him along with his sisters giggling at the sight.
Before they got very far down the path, they spot several Ursarings prowling around.
"Watch out for those guys." said Lincoln.
"We can take them." said Lynn. The Ursaring suddenly look towards the group and growl fiercely before running towards them.
"What's with them?" asked Lana.
"We're probably in their territory and don't want us around." suggested Luan. "They probably can't 'bear' us being here. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha; get it?"
"Why are you making jokes all of a sudden?" asked Rei.
"I don't know." said Luan.
"In case you all forgot, we got a bunch of Ursarings heading right at us!" said Lincoln.
"My Pokemon got this." said Lynn as she takes three of her pokeballs off her waist and tosses them, releasing her Decidueye, Machoke, and Heracross.
"Gallade, could you give them a hand?" Lincoln asked his Gallade, making him nod and run over to join Lynn's Pokemon.
"I'll be ready to record all the data from your battle for the pokedex." said Lisa as she opens the large tome and gets ready to write in it.
With Lynn's Machoke and one of the Ursaring, they were running at each other.
"Machoke, use Rock Smash!" said Lynn. Her Machoke raises his arms up and brings them down onto the Ursaring, dealing super effective damage; the Ursaring's body slumps a bit.
"Rock Smash has weakened its defenses." said Lisa as she takes notes. The Ursaring leaps at Machoke and the two get into a fight cloud before the former kicks the latter out, dealing super effective damage.
"What the..." Lynn started to say as her Machoke gets up off the ground.
"That might've been Play Rough." said Lisa. "Fairy type moves are very effective against fighting types."
"Machoke, use Mach Punch!" said Lynn. Her Machoke moves at the Ursaring at fast speed and punches it, doing super effective damage; the Ursaring lunges at him again. "Machoke, counter with Close Combat!" Her Machoke moves at the Ursaring and strikes it with a combination of punches and kicks, dealing enough super effective damage to knock it out.
With Lynn's Decidueye and another Ursaring, the two were beginning their battle as well.
"Decidueye, use Rock Smash!" said Lynn. Decidueye leaps at Ursaring while one of his wing arms glowed white and he smashes it onto Ursaring, dealing super effective damage, and weakening Ursaring's defense. Ursaring charges at Decidueye while its claws glowed white and it slashes Decidueye with them, dealing damage.
"Let's see what your Triple Arrows is like, Decidueye!" said Lynn. Decidueye leaps at Ursaring while raising one of his legs up and he smashes his heel into Ursaring, dealing super effective damage, and knocking Ursaring to the ground. Decidueye leaps back while three arrows appeared in his hand. He pulls a red vine from his chest and he uses it to fire the three arrows at Ursaring, hitting it with them, and dealing enough damage to knock Ursaring out.
With Lynn's Heracross, he was staring down another Ursaring.
"Heracross, use Swords Dance!" said Lynn. Blue swords appeared around Heracross and they cross together over him; Heracross becomes surrounded by a red aura and his attack strength increases. The Ursaring charges at Heracross and rams him, knocking him back.
"Heracross, use Rock Smash!" said Lynn. Heracross charges at Ursaring while one of his arms glowed white and he smashes it onto Ursaring, dealing super effective damage, and weakening Ursaring's defense. Ursaring charges at Heracross while its claws glowed white and it slashes Heracross with them, dealing damage.
"Heracross, use Aerial Ace!" said Lynn. Heracross flies at Ursaring while white streaks surrounded his body and he rams Ursaring, knocking it to the ground, unconscious. "Way to go, guys!" Machoke, Decidueye, and Heracross nods in response.
With Lincoln and his Gallade; the latter was battling the final Ursaring.
"Okay, Gallade, use Slash!" said Lincoln. His Gallade runs at the Ursaring and slashes it wtih one of his forearm blades; the Ursaring responds by slamming its front feet onto the ground and causing a shockwave that hits Gallade, dealing damage, and makes his legs all wobbly.
"Bulldoze can reduce its target's speed." said Professor Laventon.
"Gallade, use Swords Dance, Agile Style!" said Lincoln. His Gallade glowed blue before he spins around while waving his blade arms, making them glow, and raises his attack strengths; the Ursaring roars before charging at him. "Gallade, use Psychic!" Gallade's eyes glowed blue before Ursaring is suddenly lifted up off the ground; it was then flung into a rocky cliffside and get knocked out.
"Yeah! Galaxy Team Survey Corps for the win!" shouts Lynn.
"And I got a sufficient amount of data for the pokedex." said Lisa as she finishes adding the information she got from the battles to the tome.
"Let's go before more show up." said Luan.
"I say bring on every Ursaring in Hisui!" Lynn shouts out. "We can take on every one of them!"
"Let's just get to where we're going so we can set up camp." said Akari.
"I guess my Pokemon can't fight if they're sleepy I guess." said Lynn.
The group continues on their way until they reach the side of a river.
"Here's where we want the campsite set up." said Professor Laventon.
"Yeah!" said Lana as she tries to get to work, only for a Bronzor to fly up to her in a worried manner.
"It's a Bronzor." said Lisa as she observes the Pokemon.
"What's it doing here?" asked Akari.
"It's not attacking us." said Lincoln. He then notices it nodding towards an area on the other side of the river.
"What is it trying to tell us?" asked Professor Laventon.
"Maybe there's something where it's looking towards." suggested Lincoln. The Bronzor begins zipping around everyone.
"Well, I don't think we can set up camp if it's gonna keep bugging us." said Lynn.
"Maybe we should check out the spot the Bronzor's looking towards and see what's there." suggested Lana.
"Luna, can you play some 'Basculegion Calling' music?" asked Lincoln.
"You got it, brah." said Luna as she takes the Celestic Flute out of her satchel and plays the melody on in; soon, Basculegion pops up to the river surface.
"How did it get here from the ocean?" asked Luan.
"Maybe the river is connected to it." suggested Professor Laventon.
"And ghosts aren't bound by the mortal world." said Lucy.
"Who's gonna go see what's over there?" asked Lincoln.
"I will." Lucy says from behind Lincoln, startling him.
"Please don't do that, Lucy." said Lincoln as he pats his chest to calm his heart.
"Can't see me doing that anytime soon." said Lucy.
"I'll come with also." said Lincoln. The two Loud siblings climb onto the Basculegion and rides it to the other side of the river; once there, she climbs onto the shore and makes her way to the spot that Bronzor was looking towards.
"Did you find anything yet?" Lana asked out loudly.
"Not yet." said Lincoln. As he and Lucy make their way close to the edge of a cliff wall, they both see a Bronzor that looked a little banged up and having a hard time levitating.
"What did you find?" asked Luna.
"We found another Bronzor that's in bad shape." said Lincoln.
"Maybe it's this Bronzor's friend." suggested Lana.
"We'll bring this one over and get it treated." said Lincoln.
As the two Loud siblings were going to head back to where the others were, a large, bipedal, light blue, ducklike Pokemon with a red jewel on its forehead, and glowing red eyes, jumps out in front of them.
"What's that?" asked Lincoln.
"I can't be sure from this distance, but I believe that's a Golduck; it's the evolved form of Psyduck." said Lisa.
"And I think this one's an Alpha." said Bronzor that was with them move behind him while trembling.
"I think this Golduck is the reason that Bronzor is in bad shape." said Lucy.
"Luxray, could you get over here?" asked Lincoln. Luxray nods before he leaps across the river and runs over to the two Loud siblings.
"I'll help also." said Lucy as she lets out her Drifblim.
"Luxray, use Thunder Fang!" said Lincoln. Luxray leaps at the Alpha Golduck while electricity covered his fangs and he bites Golduck, dealing super effective damage; the Golduck begins to twitch. "Golduck's paralyzed." The Golduck fights through its paralysis and charges at Luxray while its head glowed light blue and rams its head against Luxray, dealing damage.
"Drifblim, use Hex." said Lucy. Drifblim raises her arms and forms a black ball of energy with a red eye in the middle of it; the eye fires dark blue rings of energy at the Alpha Golduck and hits it, dealing massive damage. "It is a good thing that Pokemon is paralyzed; Hex did more damage than it normally would have." The Alpha Golduck fights through its paralysis and forms a ball of blue water between its hands; it launches it at Drifblim and hits it, dealing damage; Drifblim begins floating around, dizzily. "Gasp; Drifblim's confused."
"Luxray, use Crunch!" said Lincoln. Luxray leaps at Golduck while his teeth glowed white and he bites the Alpha Pokemon with them, dealing damage, and weakening the Alpha Golduck's defense. The Alpha Pokemon tries to respond, but paralysis stops it.
"Drifblim, use Extrasensory." said Lucy. Drifblim fights through her confusion and her eyes glowed purple; she releases a purple wave of energy from her body and it hits the Alpha Golduck, knocking it back. The Alpha Golduck's eyes glowed light blue; Drifblim gets sent flying back and crashes into the cliff wall, receiving damage.
"Luxray, use Wild Charge!" said Lincoln. Luxray's body becomes surrounded by electricity; he charges at the Alpha Psyduck and rams it, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it to the ground, unconscious; Luxray flinches in pain from the recoil damage done by Wild Charge. "Are you okay, Luxray?" Luxray nods in response.
"Nice one!" said Lynn.
"It's okay, Bronzor." said Lincoln. The Bronzor comes out from behind Lincoln and sees the unconscious Alpha.
"Let's get back to the others." Lucy says from behind Lincoln and Bronzor, startling both of them.
Soon, after Lisa used a Super Potion on the injured Bronzor, both of them were floating around happily.
"I never known a Pokemon to approach humans for assistance." said Professor Laventon.
"Pokemon and humans both live here in Hisui." said Lincoln. "We should be helping each other out."
"Let's just get the campsite set up." said Lana before she grabs some tools and gets to work.
"It's amazing how she does that." said Akari. "She should've been with the Construction Corps."
"Maybe once we're done with the pokedex, she could join them." suggested Lincoln.
After the campsite was done, and everyone has eaten; the sun went down over the horizon, and they all go to sleep.
The Galaxy Team Survey Corps has helped a couple of Bronzors get reunited and has a new campsite. What else will they do as their work continues? Wait and find out.
Meanwhile, the Miss Fortune Bandits had a campsite set up in a field. Charm and Coin were in front of a campfire while Clover was sitting far from them, holding a flower while plucking out the petals.
"He loves me." said Clover before plucking out a petal. "He hates Irida." Clover plucks out another petal. "He hates Akari." She plucks out another petal. "He loves me." She plucks out the remaining petal. She looks at the remaining flower petal she was holding. "He loves me!" She plops down on her back onto the ground with a smile on her face. "I look forward to seeing you again, Lincoln."
