Another New Mission
The next morning in Jubilife Village, the Louds were waking up to start another day of working with the Galaxy Team Survey Corp; they all met at the Wallflower for breakfast.
"Last night's festival was so much fun." said Lana.
"I'll say." said Lori.
"One of these days you and I are gonna have a rematch, Lincoln." said Lynn.
"I'll take you on; any day, any time." said Lincoln with an eager look on his face.
"Where did you go off to during the festival, bro?" asked Luna.
"Just near Prelude Beach to get some peace and quiet." said Lincoln.
"Did you see any ghost Pokemon?" asked Lucy.
"Nah." said Lincoln as a blush forms on his face.
"What's with you?" asked Lori.
"No Pokemon showed up... but Clover did." said Lincoln.
"REALLY?!" the Loud sisters replied with big grins.
"Not so loud." said Lincoln.
"Sorry." said Lori. "So what happened?"
"She came to me, wearing the same kimono I had in my first dream about her." said Lincoln, making his sisters squeal with delight as quietly as they could.
"Did you kiss?" asked Leni with an excited grin on her face.
"She kissed my neck a bunch of times." said Lincoln, making his sisters tremble with delight.
"She must really like you if she was willing to risk being caught by the Security Corps." said Luan.
"I suppose." said Lincoln with a blush. Just then, Professor Laventon, along with Akari and Rei, walked over to them.
"Good morning, Loud siblings." said Professor Laventon.
"Good morning, Professor." Lisa replied.
"Commander Kamado has requested your presence in his office." said Professor Laventon.
"What do you think he wants?" asked Luna.
"Let's just go and find out." said Lynn. "He doesn't like to be kept waiting."
The group head into Galaxy Hall and make their way up to Commander Kamado's office while Lincoln's Pokemon waited outside; when they enter it, they not only see Commander Kamado, but Irida was also there.
"Hello, Loud siblings." said Commander Kamado.
"Hello, sir." the Loud siblings replied in unison.
"Hello, Lincoln." Irida says as she winks at Lincoln, making him blush, his sisters giggle, and Akari clench her fists.
"What did you need, sir?" asked Lori.
"First, I want to commend you on your successful research of the Pokemon living in the Crimson Mirelands." said Commander Kamado.
"It was an enlightening experience for us." said Lisa.
"And amusing at some points." said Luan as she grins while looking at Lincoln and Irida, making them both blush.
"I really hope that Clover girl had the sense to stay away from you." said Irida as she hooks one of her arms around one of Lincoln's.
"Actually, a few days after your interaction with her, she and her sisters came after us in an attempt to steal our pokedex." said Lisa, surprising Commander Kamado, and enraging Irida.
"Did Clover do anything to Lincoln?!" asked Irida.
"Kissed him on the lips." said Lori with a grin.
"Twice." said Lynn Jr.
"I thought I felt angry a few days ago!" said Irida.
"We thought we heard a loud scream." said Lana. Irida storms over to Lincoln, grabs his face, and kisses him right on the lips, surprising Commander Kamado, making Lincoln's sisters squeal with delight, and Akari growl; a minute later, Irida breaks the kiss.
"I believe we have more pressing matters to deal with, since we were summoned here." said Lisa.
"Quite right." said Commander Kamado. "I have a new mission for you all."
"What is it?" asked Lincoln.
"Your next orders are to begin the survey of the Cobalt Coastlands." said Commander Kamado.
"Yes! A new area to explore!" said Lincoln.
"I can't wait to see what kind of Pokemon are there!" said Lana.
"I am interested in gathering more data for the pokedex." said Lisa.
"Just so you all know in advance, there are no nobles in the Cobalt Coastlands." said Commander Kamado.
"Really?" asked Lincoln.
"Allow me to explain." said Irida. "We did have a lord in the coastlands... until a few years ago; a tragedy took him from us."
"I'm sorry to hear that." said Lincoln.
"You're so kind, Lincoln." said Irida with a smile.
"Now we've had reports of people seeing strange, shadowy figures on the island the lord used to call his home." said Commander Kamado. "We've also received word from both the Securtiy Corps and Supply Corps. It seems some of their members were attacked by a ghost while out gathering materials around Firespit Island."
"Ghost?" Lucy replied with interest in her voice.
"You seem interested, Lucy." said Luna.
"I don't know why, but the mention of ghost seem to make me feel excited." said Lucy.
"Even though your face doesn't show it." said Lynn.
"These are serious concerns." said Irida. "And moreover, my clan just can't tolerate this desecration of our late lord's seat!"
"Like how the ruins in the Crimson Mirelands was vandalized when part of the wall was stolen." said Luan.
"Normally, I'd entrust this to our warden in the coastlands, but her situation is... complicated." said Irida.
"What do you mean?" asked Leni.
"That's not important right now." said Commander Kamado. "I trust my intentions are clear by now. I hereby order you to investigate these reports."
"Yes, sir!" said the Survey Corps.
Moments later, the Loud siblings and Irida walked out of Galaxy Hall; Irida sees Lincoln's Pokemon, including his new Gallade.
"Do you have a new Pokemon on your team, Lincoln?" asked Irida, looking at Gallade.
"Yeah, this is Gallade." said Lincoln, motioning towards his Gallade. "Caught him when he was a Ralts; didn't even have to battle him. He wanted to come with me."
"How come?" asked Irida.
"He was hungry, so I gave him some berries." replied Lincoln. "I guess I didn't like seeing a Pokemon hungry." Irida smiles at Lincoln in response.
"You mean like how you had Typhlosion battle this Ursaring because it wouldn't let those hungry Teddiursas have any food that was nearby?" asked Lori.
"Yeah; Lincoln told that Ursaring it had no right to deny those Teddiursas food." said Lana. "Then he tells that Ursaring that those Teddiursa were living Pokemon and they have every right to eat." Irida looks at Lincoln with both hands over her chest, her cheeks red, and tears in her eyes; she runs over to Lincoln and grabs his head.
"The only thing that rivals your cuteness is your kindness." said Irida before she kisses Lincoln on the lips, making his face turn red.
Somewhere in Hisui, Clover's face was also red, but it was red with fury.
"What's with you?" Coin asked Clover.
"It probably has something to do with that Lincoln boy." said Charm.
'If some girl is doing something with Lincoln, I'll make her wish she was never born!' Clover thinks to herself.
Back at Jubilife Village, Irida breaks her kiss with Lincoln.
"Anyway, I'll meet you all in Cobalt Coastlands." said Irida. "I do love it there, it's a beautiful area." She walks away, but stops to look at Lincoln. "I hope to see you soon, Lincoln." She then leaves the village. Lincoln shakes his head to regain his senses.
"Come on, let's get to Cobalt Coastlands." said Lincoln.
"Want to meet Irida there?" asked Leni, grinning, making Lincoln blush, and the rest of his sisters giggle.
"Perhaps we should have accompanied Irida there." said Lisa, grinning.
"Greetings, everyone." a familiar voice calls out, making everyone, especially Lana; turn to see Lian walking over to them.
"Hi, Lian!" said Lana.
"I suppose it's to be expected that I'd run into you in the village." said Lian. "Where are you going to study Pokemon next?"
"We're going to the Cobalt Coastlands." said Lana.
"Oh, the Cobalt Coastlands?" Lian replied. "Palina's certainly in a bit of a situation over there."
"What do you mean?" asked Lana.
"She's a warden, and yet she has no noble to see to." said Lian. "There are even some people in the Pearl Clan that speak ill of her, though not to her face."
"Doesn't seem right for people to talk bad about someone behind their backs." said Lana.
"Oh, but do forgive me. Perhaps I shouldn't be airing dirty laundry." said Lian.
"Wouldn't that help get bad smells off them?" asked Leni.
"I think that means he shouldn't be bringing up personal issues." said Lori.
"Oh." said Leni.
"A piece of advice; as apology for wasting your time." said Lian.
"What?" Lana asked.
"Some Pokemon are strongly affected by certain stones, which hold mysterious power." said Lian.
"Like how my Kirlia evolved into a Gallade after touching a Dawn Stone?" asked Lincoln.
"And how my Scyther evolved with Black Augite into a Kleavor." said Lisa.
"I see you're familiar with the phenomenon." said Lian. "If you and the rest of the Survey Corps want to learn all there is to know about the Pokemon in this region, then the stones throughout Hisui will be very important."
"I will look into more stone-based evolutions." said Lisa.
"Well, I think we should be off then." said Professor Laventon. Before they all left, Lana runs over to Lian and gives him a quick peck on the cheek, making them both blush, while Lian just gawks at Lana with a blank expression on his face.
"Why do boys react like that to getting kissed?" asked Lola.
"Boys are weird like that." said Lori.
"Let's just go." said Lincoln as he, his Pokemon, and the rest of the Survey Corps leave the village.
The Loud siblings are going to a new area; the Cobalt Coastlands. What Pokemon will they encounter there? Wait and find out.
