[Johto 1999 - Route 30/Dawn: Crystal and Lincoln]
Basking in the Sunlight, Crystal and Lincoln were enjoying themselves in the welcoming morning sun! Walking around the grass, Loki was frolicking about until he bumped into somebody! Or rather a Pokémon!
"Hey, what is it, Loki?" Asked Lincoln until he saw the Pokémon as well.
"Oh look at that!" Crystal replied as she took out her Pokédex and scanned it.
"Shinx, the Flash Pokémon. Female. An Electric Type. Electricity makes this Pokémon's fur glow. Shinx sends signals to others of its kind by shaking the tip of its tail while the tail tip is shining brightly. This Pokémon generates electricity by contracting its muscles. Excited trembling is a sign that Shinx is generating a tremendous amount of electricity."
Shinx's fur was mostly blue, yet there was black fur under her torso. She had a long black tail with a gold four-pointed star on the end. Her forelegs each had a gold ring around them; these were electricity glands. She also had large, oval ears with gold, star-like symbols on them. She had gold eyes, and a pink-red nose. She had tufts of hair which would eventually grow into a mane. Whenever her mouth was open, small fangs could be seen developing.
Comparing this Shinx to the picture, a female's mane doesn't stick up as much as a male's. Also, all four paws of a female Shinx were blue while the hind-paws of a male were black.
"(Hey, Rabbit! Wanna play a game with me?!)" Asked the Shinx.
"(Um, sure!)" Loki wanted to play until he got zapped by electricity. He got up and was angered. "(WHY YOU LITTLE-!!)"
"LOKI! ARE YOU OKAY?!" Lincoln asked his Pokémon just as the Shinx giggled.
"It appears that Shinx pulled a prank on Loki!" Crystal looked at Shinx as Lincoln stepped forward.
"Well, I'll show you!" Lincoln decided to battle it!

"Let's go, Loki!" Lincoln charged into battle just as Loki front flipped and backflipped into battle.
"(Let's play!)" Loki started kicking his feet up in the air.
"(I'm ready to play, Rabbit!)" Shinx got into her pouncing position as she was ready to attack!
"You got this, Lincoln!" Crystal cheered.
"Yep!" Lincoln started off. "Loki, use Ember Attack!"
"(Take this!)" Loki took a deep breath and attacked with a dart of fire onto Shinx!
"(Hey! Why you…!)" Shinx growled as she surged with electricity and tried zapping it onto Loki, as Loki was nearly zapped on one foot, just as he backflipped away! "(Hey! That's no fair!)"
"Now, Quick Attack!" Lincoln called out.
"(Here I come!)" Loki blipped out of sight and reappeared again behind Shinx and kicked her in the tush!
"(OWIE!!)" Shinx growled just as she turned around and bit Loki, clamping tight as she zapped him with electricity!
"(Hey! That's what you call unfair!!)" Loki growled.
"Don't let up, Loki!" Lincoln cheered.
"Now would be a good time for a Pokéball, Lincoln!" Crystal suggested.
"Well, I haven't thrown a ball or got training, but here I go!" Lincoln took out a Pokéball as he lobbed it like Basketball to Shinx, ensnaring her inside as the ball opened, sucked her inside as energy, and closed shut, landing on the ground. The ball landed as it shook once, twice, thrice!! DING!

Lincoln cheered as he went up to the Pokéball and collected it. "Alright! I caught a Shinx!"
"(Heh! Serves you right!)" Loki crossed his arms as he smirked.
Crystal looked up the information. "Says here your Shinx knows Tackle, Leer and Thundershock, and she has the Rivalry Ability which makes her do more damage on the same gender Pokémon and even less on the opposite gender."
"That would explain why she went easy on Loki." Lincoln looked at his Pokéball. "I'll name you Silica. Because of your crystal eyes!"
Inside of her Pokéball, Silica blushed as she huffed and looked away.

Lincoln walked around with Loki by his side just as Crystal followed along with him, wondering where their next Pokémon was.
But before advancing near a house, a man came out and he went up to them.
"Excuse me, but do you have any Apricorns?" Asked the guy.
"No." Crystal replied.
"Apricorn trees bear fruit once a day." The man stated. "I have one of those trees, too!"
"I can see that." Lincoln replied as he looked at the tree.
"Apricorns are really something! You can make Pokéballs and other things!" The man exclaimed, getting Lincoln and Crystal's attention. "They are quite useful. And I have a feeling this was meant to be, because I have something for you!"
The Man gave Lincoln a Box.
(Lincoln obtained the Apricorn Box!)
(Lincoln puts it away in the Key Items Pocket)
(Apricorn Box: You can now hold the fruit from Apricorn Trees that you couldn't hold on before! Use them as material for Pokéballs or other stuff!)
(Flavored Text: Apricots and Capricorn, those are the only things in my search engine from this word…)
"And with that Apricorn Box, you can carry so many Apricorns! You'll be a decent Apricorn Collector!" The man smiled as he went back inside.
Lincoln and Crystal harvested some of the Apricorn in the area, just as Lincoln screamed from being tapped on the shoulder.
"Lincoln?! What's wrong?!" Crystal looked from the other side as she saw a Bug Pokémon on Lincoln's shoulder.
"(Um, excuse me? That was my fruit…)" The Pokémon replied to him as she crawled around his shoulder, tickling him.
The bug Pokémon was a small larval Pokémon that resembled a caterpillar of a silkworm. Her body was covered in a green leafy coat, and she had a hood-like leaf encircling the back of her head. She also had a round yellow head with two lumps on top. She had small black eyes and an orange mouth with two sharp teeth visibly protruding from her upper jaw. She also had a white neck and six tiny orange stubby feet.
"What Pokémon is that?" Asked Crystal as she pulled out her Pokédex.
"Sewaddle, the Sewing Pokémon. Female. A Bug/Grass Type. The bumps on their heads are sensory organs. When Sewaddle meet, they greet each other by rubbing these bumps together. Sewaddle chews on leaves to make its clothing. It's trying to mimic the leafy garment Leavanny first dressed it in."
"I see you just wanted the Fruit. Well then, here you go." Lincoln smiled as he gave Sewaddle a Pink Apricorn as the Pokémon happily ate it. "There you go!"
"Let's get going, Lincoln!" Crystal replied to him just as the Pokémon spat silk on his clothes. "I guess she wants to come along, huh?"
"I guess so. Is that correct, Sewaddle?" Lincoln asked the bug.
"(As long as you'll feed me.)" The Pokémon smiled as Lincoln took out a Pokéball and lobbed it into the air like Basketball, landing it on top of Sewaddle and ensnaring her like with Shinx, only this time, she did not struggle as the Pokéball instantly clicked.
Lincoln smiled as he went up and collected the Pokéball. "Now you're mine, Sewaddle!"
Crystal looked at her Pokédex. "Says here that You're Sewaddle knows Tackle and String Shot, and she has Swarm as an Ability, which means it powers up her Bug Type Moves when she's low on health."
"The more the merrier!" Lincoln replied to Crystal as she giggled. "I'll call this one, Silky! For her Silk!"
Suddenly, Crystal turned around to find a Pokémon trying to sneak by her! "AW! CUTE! A CAT POKÉMON!"
It was a small feline Pokémon. She had mainly deep purple fur, with cream-colored patches on her muzzle, forehead, chest, forelegs, back, and back feet. The Pokémon also had green eyes with slit pupils and large angular pink eyelids. She had a blunt catlike muzzle with a small black triangular nose, and pointed catlike ears and whisker-like tufts of fur on each cheek. She also had a sleek, slender body with small dainty paws and feet, and her tail was long and skinny with a crescent-like tuft at the tip.
Lincoln took out his loaned Pokédex as he scanned the Pokémon.
"Purrloin, the Devious Pokémon. Female. A Dark Type. It steals things from people just to amuse itself with their frustration. A rivalry exists between this Pokémon and Nickit. Opponents that get drawn in by its adorable behavior come away with stinging scratches from its claws and stinging pride from its laughter."
"Uh, Crystal. I think you should back away from it." Lincoln suggested as Crystal got closer, only for Lucky to get in the way of the scratch, shocking Lincoln, Loki and Crystal.
"(Why must you do this to me?!)" Lucky growled as she winced from the pain she received.
"(I'm bored…)" The Cat simply stated.
"Hey! Don't attack my Pokémon!" Crystal frowned as she got into position and battled Purrloin.
(Music: Come On! - Mario and Luigi Paper Jam)
"Lucky! Use Razor Leaf!" Crystal ordered ,pointing forward at Purrloin.
"(No escape from what you've done!)" Lucky swung her leaf, releasing a flurry of leaves onto Purrloin, who didn't have time to react to the spread damage!
"(NYAAA!!)" Purrloin charged at Crystal as she decided to take on the owner!
"Loki! Ember!" Lincoln defended Crystal.
"(Hey! No attacking the owners!)" Loki blasted a dart of fire onto Purrloin, blocking whatever she had planned for Crystal!
"I'll catch her now!" Crystal took out a Pokéball and kicked it to Purrloin like soccer! The Pokéball opened as it sucked in the Pokémon, then it closed and landed on the ground. The ball shook once, twice, thrice! DING! "I got you now!"

"(No more pranks!)" Lucky swung her leaf triumphantly.
Lincoln looked in his Loaned Pokédex. "It says here your Purrloin knows Scratch, Growl, Sand Attack, Fake Out and she has Limber, which according to this, prevents her from having Paralysis effects."
Inside her Pokéball, Sassy looked away, not a care in the world.
"I'll call you Sassy…" Crystal sighed.
"Well at least now, you have another Pokémon." Lincoln reassured Crystal.
"Yeah, for now." Crystal smiled back at Lincoln. "What now?"
"I guess we just have to keep going." Lincoln replied.
"Excuse me!" A youngster approached the exit path of Mr Pokémon. "Are any of you Pokémon trainers?"
"Yeah?" Asked Lincoln.
"Then I challenge you to a Pokémon battle!" The Youngster challenged the two!
