After celebrating Kieran's capture of Ogerpon, the group decides to head back to Mossui Town to wait for the Festival of Masks to start.
"This is so awesome." said Kieran as he and Ogerpon walked side-by-side with each other.
"Yeah, yeah, don't let it get to your head, Kiki." said Carmine.
"Let him have this moment." said Clyde. "He's been wanting to be Ogerpon's friend for a long time."
"Yeah, don't rain on his parade, hussy!" said Iono, making Carmine frown before she drapes her arms over Lincoln's chest while resting her head on his shoulders which makes Iono scowl and Lincoln blush.
"I'll bet Ogerpon's gonna enjoy the festival tonight since she doesn't have to worry about people finding out who she is." said Lincoln.
"Tonight's gonna be so amazing!" said Kieran. As the group heads through Kitakami Hall, the people there were waving at Ogerpon who waves back with a smile.
"Such a nice Pokemon." said a woman.
"I can't believe we wasted years making it seem like a monster and praising those three villians." said an elderly man.
"I feel so bad about making Ogerpon an outcast." said another woman.
"Things are looking up for you, Ogerpon." said Lincoln.
"You are going to have so much fun at the festival." said Carmine.
"Let's get back to town and hang out until it begins." said Clyde. The group heads back to Mossui Town where they, along with several other children, played with Ogerpon until stars started to appear in the sky.
The festival was more lively than it was yesterday, due to the special guest, Ogerpon, having lots of fun. They got rid of the green balloons in the Ogre 'Oustin game and renamed it 'Loser Three Lancing' where they just popped the red, gray, and blue balloons. Lincoln and Clyde bought Ogerpon masks for their families and friends back in Royal Woods and Paldea.
Ogerpon was treated to lots of snacks at the festival, as well as playing around with the children who were all there. The day ended with a firework display which everyone really enjoyed while Carmine had one of her arms around Lincoln's shoulders.
"I really wish I was there." said Lana.
"We all want to be at the festival, Lana." said Lori.
"No, not just the festival, the Paldea Region!" said Lana.
"What?!" replied Lynn Sr.
"I want to have a Pokemon adventure with Lincoln!" said Lana.
"I'll bet Leni wants to be with Arven." said Luan, making Leni smile and blush.
"I'm sure you girls all want to be with Lincoln." said Rita. "But I don't want you all going off to a foreign land." The girls all sulk at her answer.
"I can still keep sending you all Pokemon." said Lincoln.
"Fine." said Lana with some disappointment still in her voice.
'It's about time for bed, everyone." said Lynn Sr.
"Yeah, I guess it is getting late." said Lincoln.
"You should be getting to bed also, Clyde." said Harold McBride.
"Okay, Dad." said Clyde.
"Well, I think that's enough for tonight, everyone." said Iono. "As much as I want to keep watching my cutie, and making sure that hussy, Carmine, keeps her hands off him; I need my beauty sleep."
"Yeah, you of all people need all of that you can get."said Carmine.
"Look who's talking, Grandma!" shouts Iono, making Carmine growl at her. Soon, everyone was in bed, fast asleep, with Ogerpon sharing Kieran's bed with him.
The next morning, after everyone has breakfast, and Lincoln and Clyde work off the calories from it and all the food they had at the festival yesterday, the group and Ogerpon were hanging around in the Apple Hills, with Lincoln and Clyde's families, along with Iono, watching them while thinking about everything that happened during the class trip.
"Remember our first battle, Clyde?" asked Carmine.
"Yeah, I swept your entire team with one of mine." Clyde replied with a smirk.
"I enjoyed that part." said Iono.
"You got lucky, Clyde." said Carmine; Lincoln growls in response to what Carmine said, surprising her.
"Don't say the L-word around him." said Clyde.
"Sorry, cutie." Carmine said before kissing Lincoln on the cheek, making him blush, and Iono growl.
"Morning, everyone." Mr. Jacq's voice calls out, making the group look to see Lincoln and Clyde's homeroom teacher running over to them.
"Hi, Mr. Jacq." said Lincoln.
"I just finished adding all of the Loser Three's data, along with Ogerpon's four forms, into the pokedex." said Mr. Jacq.
"Cool!" said Lincoln. Mr. Jacq holds out his Rotom Phone and sends the updated pokedex to Lincoln and Clyde's.
"Let's see what they say about the Loser Three Pokemon first." said Clyde as he brings up Munkidori's file.
"Munkidori, the Retainer Pokemon. The chain is made from toxins that enhance capabilities. It stimulated Munkidori's brain and caused the Pokémon's psychic powers to bloom." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
"Too bad it didn't stimulate his brain enough to make him smart enough to stay out of trouble." said Clyde. Lincoln uses his Rotom Phone to look up Okidogi's file.
"Okidogi, the Retainer Pokemon. After all its muscles were stimulated by the toxic chain around its neck, Okidogi transformed and gained a powerful physique." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone. Clyde looks up Fezandipiti's file on his Rotom Phone.
"Fezandipiti, the Retainer Pokemon. Fezandipiti owes its beautiful looks and lovely voice to the toxic stimulants emanating from the chain wrapped around its body." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
"Too bad it didn't help his inner beauty." said Kieran.
"And saving the best for last; Ogerpon." said Lincoln as he looks up Ogerpon's file with Kieran looking at Lincoln's Rotom Phone. "First, her Wellspring Mask Form."
"Ogerpon Wellspring Mask Form, the Mask Pokemon. This form excels in both attack and defense. It ceaselessly unleashes moves like a spring gushes water." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"And in this form, she has the Water Absorb ability which heals her wounds when she's hit by a water attack." said Lincoln."Next; her Heatflame Mask Form."
"Ogerpon Heatflame Mask Form, the Mask Pokemon. This form is the most aggressive, bombarding enemies with the intensity of flames blazing within a hearth." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"In this form, she has the Mold Breaker ability which makes her unaffected by an opposing Pokemon's ability." said Lincoln. "Next, her Cornerstone Mask Form."
"Ogerpon Cornerstone Mask Form, the Mask Pokemon. This form has excellent defenses, absorbing impacts solidly like the cornerstones that support houses." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"In this form, she has the Sturdy ability which keeps her from being knocked out by a single attack." said Lincoln. "And finally; her Teal Mask Form."
"Ogerpon,Teal Mask Form, the Mask Pokemon. This Pokémon's type changes based on which mask it's wearing. It confounds its enemies with nimble movements and kicks." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"In this form, she has the Defiant ability which powers up her attack strength when another stat is lowered." said Lincoln.
"Wow." said Kieran with a stunned look on his face. Just then, Lincoln's Rotom Phone rang, making him answer it.
"Hello, Lincoln." said Ms. Briar.
"Hi, Ms. Briar." Lincoln replied.
"Would you and Clyde please come to the community center?" asked Ms. Briar.
"I wonder what she wants." said Kieran.
"Oh, Kieran is with you also?" asked Ms. Briar.
"I'm here also." said Carmine.
"Good, two less calls I have to make." said Ms. Briar. "I need all of you to come to the community center."
"We'll be right there." said Lincoln before Ms. Briar ends the call.
"What do you think she wants?" asked Kieran.
"Let's go see." said Clyde. They all head over to Mossui Town where they see the other students from Naranja and Blueberry Academy, along with Ms. Briar and the caretaker, gathered in front of it.
"It's good to see that you're all here." said Ms. Briar. "Now then, the caretaker has some words for us. Let's give him our full attention." Everyone focuses on the caretaker who steps forward.
"I've been told that our student pairs have now finished visiting all the signboards in Kitakami, which means your self-guided tour is at an end." said the caretaker.
"It was so much fun." said a Naranja Academy student.
"Why, thank you for saying so, and thanks for taking part." said the caretaker. "And truth be told, I didn't think that you'd wrap up the tour this quickly. You're quite the prodigies!"
"Thank you, sir." said Lincoln.
"But Lincoln; I, along with the people of Kitakami, should be thanking you, Clyde, Kieran, and Carmine for helping Ogerpon, and opening our eyes to the truth about her and the Pokemon now dubbed 'The Loser Three'." said the caretaker.
"We were glad to do it." said Clyde.
"And we'll keep Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti out of trouble." said Carmine.
"I hope you three can teach them some manners." said the caretaker.
"And to let you all know, the class trip is now over." said Ms. Briar.
"Dang it!" said Lincoln.
"No fair." said Clyde.
"But don't worry." said Ms. Briar. "I made arrangements with the Flying Taxi company for all who came here for the trip; you can all come back here whenever you want to explore more of Kitakami."
"That's good to hear." said Lincoln with a smile.
"The bus to the airport will leave in half an hour, so everyone get your things together and meet at the bus stop before than." said Ms. Briar.
"Too bad the trip had to end." said Lincoln.
"We would've wanted to hang out with Kieran, Carmine, and Ogerpon some more." said Clyde. "But we have people to help back in Paldea."
"What do you mean?" asked Carmine. Lincoln explains to Carmine and Kieran about helping Arven gathering the Herba Mystica, and Cassiopiea taking down Team Star.
"Wow; you guys are having a lot of adventures." said Kieran.
"Yeah; so we really need to return to Paldea." said Clyde.
"Maybe we'll see each other again someday." said Kieran.
"I hope I see you real soon, Linky." said Carmine as she winks at Lincoln, making him blush, and Iono growl. After Lincoln and Clyde make a quick trip to the post office to mail the masks they got last night to their families, they pack up their stuff, and walk over to the bus stop with Kieran, Carmine, and Ogerpon.
"Well, everybody; looks like Linky's Kitakami adventures are over." Iono says to her viewers on her channel.
"Clyde and I will most likely come back. Maybe we'll find something new." said Lincoln.
"That's true, cutie." said Iono.
"What did your subscribers think about everything we saw during our trip?" asked Clyde.
"They enjoyed every minute of it!" said Iono. "I thought my Rotom Phone was going to overload with comments from everyone."
"I'm glad your fans like it." said Lincoln.
"Too bad you have to go back to Paldea." said Lori.
"I wanted to see if there were any more cute Pokemon you haven't seen yet." said Lola.
"But I'll bet Iono will be glad that Lincoln will be far away from Carmine for a while." said Luan with a smirk.
"I guess every dark cloud does have a silver lining!" said Iono, making Carmine frown.
"There's the bus stop." said Lincoln, making everyone look to see their destination, along with a bus that had Mr. Jacq and the other Naranja Academy students in front of it.
"Everyone get on board!" said the bus driver. As Lincoln and Clyde's schoolmates get on the bus, they take the time to say goodbye to Kieran, Carmine, and Ogerpon.
"I hope we get to see each other again real soon." said Kieran.
"And if you are somehow at the Blueberry Academy, look for us." said Carmine.
"That'll be the first thing we'll do if we're ever there." said Lincoln. Kieran holds out his hand, and Lincoln and Clyde each shake it.
"You guys are the best." said Kieran. "Thanks to you, my dream of meeting Ogerpon and becoming her friend came true."
"We were glad to help." said Lincoln. "And we will have a rematch next time we meet."
"And I'll be training for it real hard." said Kieran.
"I'll step up my game also." said Lincoln. "With how strong you became in just two days, I will definitely need to."
"Our next battle's gonna be awesome!" said Kieran. As Clyde and Lincoln start to get on the bus, Carmine grabs Lincoln's shoulder and turns him towards her.
"What's up, Carm..." Lincoln started to say before Carmine kisses him right on the lips while everyone on the bus, along with Lincoln and Clyde's families, and Iono, all watch.
"CARMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE!" shouts Iono, while Lincoln's family and classmates giggle at the sight. A minute later, Carmine breaks the kiss, leaving Lincoln with a stunned, beet red, face.
"That's to last you until we see each other again." said Carmine before she winks at Lincoln. Clyde gets Lincoln onto the bus and they all are soon on their way to the airport.
Half an hour later, in Kieran and Carmine's grandparents' house, Kieran was in his room with Ogerpon with a serious expression on his face.
"Lincoln, you are my friend, so I won't insult you by giving you an easy battle." said Kieran. He then starts pulling his hair back.
Lincoln and Clyde are now on their way back to Paldea. What awaits them upon their return? Wait and find out.
