The Horned King Explains
Back at the cathedral, Mal, Evie, Jay, Carlos, Ben and Emrys were sadly looking at where Hava disappeared with the wand.
"Hava," Mal whimpered tears quickly coming down her cheek.
"Love," Emrys murmurs sadly.
Evie sniffled and said sadly, "She couldn't leave her father Mal. She loves him too much."
"Yeah but what's going to happen now?" Jay asks with worry.
"Yeah, the Horned King now has the wand. What's he going to do? To Auradon?" Carlos asked with fear in his voice.
Ben sighed sadly and hugged Mal tightly. "Don't worry, we'll be okay."
Suddenly the sound of thunder and a green mist filled the room revealing Maleficent. "I'M BACK!" She shouted with a laugh.
"It can't be," Fairy Godmother said in horror.
Mal sighed sadly not wanting to deal with her mother after what just happened. "Go away mother."
Maleficent started laughing so hard she snorted. "She is so funny." She looked back at Mal.
"Oh! I'm so...you're very funny." Then her voice went serious. "Here. Wand me, chop chop." Everyone looked at her confused. "What are you waiting for? Give me the wand!" Maleficent demanded.
"Mom, we don't have the wand," Mal told her.
"What? Well then who has it?" Maleficent demanded.
"I do," a dark voice answered.
Everyone turned to see The Horned King and Hava at the front door of the cathedral. The Horned King had one hand on the wand and the other was around Hava's shoulders. The Horned King ordered Creeper to wait for them.
"Horned King glad to see you and your kid could join us," Maleficent smiled at him. "Give me the wand."
The Horned King just glared at the dark fairy for acting like he took orders from her as he and Hava appeared next to the Fairy Godmother and to her surprise The Horned King handed her her wand back. "Here take it."
Hava laughed watching everyone looking shocked and surprise.
"HORNED KING WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Maleficent demanded.
The Horned King turned to Maleficent and chuckled darkly, "Proving my point. Maleficent if you and those three fools would've listened to me all those years ago you would've seen this coming, or better yet you four might've treated your children differently."
"What are you talking about?" Maleficent demanded impatiently.
"Once I was like you, I didn't see myself as a parent and I didn't believe I could be one either," The Horned King states, "But let me explain what happened sixteen years ago when my Hava was brought to me."
FLASHBACK
The Horned King watched as his once lover, Eris, was escorted from the Isle by the three gods Zeus, Athena and Poseidon. He could tell that Eris wanted to speak with him, but couldn't, he could sense that it was because they took her voice away, but most likely Zeus did it. The Horned King then looked down at the baby girl wrapped in a warm blanket. The Horned King was told that this was his daughter, he could see the resemblance with her red eyes and horns just like him.
The Horned King frowned he didn't understand why they gave this child to him, he was a demon, a monster. But The Horned King was interested in the fact that instead of screaming or crying when his child first saw his terrifying face she smiled.
"Interesting," The Horned King murmurs.
As the Horned King was trying to decide on what to do with the baby girl, his two Gwythiants came over and started sniffing and licking the baby, making her giggle.
"Curious child," Horned King whispers, "She has already bonded with my creatures." Looking at her more close, he spoke to his baby daughter, "They didn't say what your name was, so I suppose I'll have to name you." After a moment of thought he decided, "Hava. It means life, and that's what you are, a new life."
The Horned King then took Hava inside his home and laid her on his bed and while he didn't know it himself he was starting to care for his new daughter.
FLASHBACK ENDS
The Horned King takes Hava's hands into his own and spoke, "For as long as I remember I was viewed as evil, darkness soulless and death. But death itself grew a heart. And while I was unaware of it back then, when I held you in my arms you became the only thing that mattered to me and it changed me forever."
