Welcome to the next chapter of The Twin Dragons, but before starting. Let us answer some reviews:
Guest: Thanks, I feel that this line up it better. Asia is one of my favorite female characters in the entire series, their relationship will show progression as the chapter keep coming. That situation will be taken care of in the most suitable manner possible. That sounds like some Goku and Vegeta stuff, which could result in some hilarious situations.
Guest 2: I apologize for this, but I still plan on keeping Akeno with Kazuki since there are other people I plan on adding with him and I don't want to run into the same problem that I had before. And the request and questions aren't annoying, I love hearing the feedback that all of you give.
Weslyschraepen: I thought that Bennia would be better with Kazuki, plus I wanted to do something original. There will be more focus on Kazuki compared to Issei.

Helping out a Friend
Located in one of the still intact rooms inside the abandoned church, there was a room prepared for the nun who was assigned there. But, aside from just the necessities like a bed and closest, it still wasn't as good as an actual bedroom. The lone occupant awake in the bed was the blonde nun named Asia Argento who Kazuki help find the church and has a sacred gear able to heal wounds.
She was still dressed in her green-colored nightgown as the sun has barely started to rise, however, she wasn't at all tired. She had been awake staring at the basic mobile phone that she had received before arriving in Japan, and aside from one other number for emergencies, there was another that she had saved into it. It had belonged to the person she had been talking to for almost the entire night and would have continued to talk if their phones didn't lose their charge.
"…."
She just continued to stare at the phone silent with a smile on her face as if she didn't believe what happened.
"I got to talk to someone like a normal person."
Asia said in a tone low enough for it to be inaudible.
She went to her contacts again, then stared at the saved number and the name of the owner: Hyoudou Kazuki.
It felt almost like just minutes ago when Asia first started to talk with some for almost hours until her phone began to lose its charge, forcing them to end their talk. Asia recalled their initial meeting, hearing the kindness in his tone from when he talked with her, his smile and….
As her mind continued to wander toward Kazuki, her cheeks started to turn red as she placed her hand on them in a panicked state.
"Auuu, what am I thinking?"
How could she think about someone like that when she's only known him for barely a day?
Her mind later went toward the mother of Yosh, the child that she had healed using her sacred gear and the look that his mother had given her. Just recalling it caused a severe chill to run across her body as memories started to run throughout her head.
"Those eyes were the same as before."
Asia sat up in the bed hugging her legs using her arms as she continued to shutter.
"But…."
After recalling Kazuki standing in-between her and the mother, as well as the comforting words from him caused her to feel a little bit better compared to before. She didn't know why, but thinking about him caused her to feel a lot better while causing her heart to beat a little faster compared to before.
"Are you up, Asia-chan~? Time to get ready~"
A familiar cheerful voice could be heard from behind her door catching Asia's attention.
"A-Ah yes, I'm up. I'll be ready in just a minute."
Asia replied, but she could tell that the voice sounded a little more oppressive more so compared to even all the other people in the past and even the mother. Upon recalling all that Kazuki had done for her, as well as the talk that both of them had last night a sense of guilt popped into her mind.
'You didn't do anything wrong.'
Even those comforting words entered her head.
"I'm happy that I got to talk with Kazuki-san and that he said those words to me. …but, I lied to him."
Asia thought as she sat up from the bed and stood up from her bed towards one of the nun outfits that she owned, then took off hew nightgown revealing her white bra and panties, then started getting dressed. Despite having a feeling that this place wouldn't be any better for her, but she didn't have anywhere or anything else to turn to.
Meanwhile, Kazuki was outside walking alongside his older brother and Raynare who walked with them, letting a long yawn to escape from his mouth.
"Did you get any sleep last night?"
Issei questioned as he glanced in the direction of his little brother with Raynare wondering the same thing.
"Yea, some. I was talking to someone last night over the phone."
"Was it Souna-Kaichou?"
He had heard that both Kazuki and "Souna" were close to one another, as well as being among the few who did believe that they were doing "explicit" things inside of the Student Council Room. Though Sona was among the third most popular girl in school, differing from Rias and Akeno who Issei was more focused on due to their more "developed" proportions compared to Sona, but he was still jealous about the fact that Kazuki was alone with one of the foremost popular girls in school.
"No, it was…someone else."
Kazuki replied as he rubbed the corner of his eyes again.
"Who?"
"Was it another girl~?"
Issei and Raynare questioned causing the former to glance towards him with a more intense look.
"…Yea. It was."
Kazuki replied in a hesitant manner knowing how his brother would react.
As expected, Issei was glaring toward him from behind with his stares continued growing more and more intense as time passed. Kazuki's eyes started to become more wryly by the moment.
"…who was it. Was it a beautiful girl? A cute one? Did she had big oppai?!"
As Issei started to move close and close by the moment to his little brother, Kazuki held his hand out and pushed him aside without much concern. This caused Issei to stumble backward almost falling headfirst to the concrete ground, but he was able to regain his balance and stood back on his feet glared toward his brother.
"What was that for?!"
"You're too close. …besides, it's none of your business."
"Of course it's my business."
"How is it your business?"
"You're my little brother. So, it is my business to know what the girls in your life."
That comment didn't make the slightest bit of sense to Kazuki and neither did it to Raynare who stared at him in the same manner as the former.
"First off, if I did do something with another girl, than that it's my business," he replied in annoyance as he glanced toward the side away from his brother while yawning. "And second, you just want to know that you can probably perv on them without getting hit."
"Erk," Issei said in a shocked tone as his face scrunched up while glancing to the side. "Th-That's not true."
"That doesn't sound convincing."
Raynare pointed out causing Issei to almost feel pain from her words alone, but he continued to walk on ahead of them as all of them walked to school.
Though Kazuki was able to tell that there was something on the mind of Issei because he just mentioned that he had met a girl. And there was also the fact that Issei had his head directed toward the ground, which meant that he must've been moping.
"Alright, what happened?"
Kazuki questioned out loud enough for Issei to hear him.
"Huh?"
Issei didn't need to guess that Kazuki was talking to him and turned toward him with the distraught expression on his face being more apparent, but didn't say anything.
"Did you get scolded by Rias-senpai?"
"No."
"Did you get beat by Katase-san and Murayama-san?"
"No."
"Is Dragon Ball better than One Piece?"
"No…hey!"
After noticing that wordplay from his younger brother, Issei propelled himself forward and glared directly at him.
"Dragon Ball is waaay better than One Piece! That show has been continuing without end since we were kids!"
"I'm sorry, but there are a lot of things that One Piece does better than Dragon Ball."
"Like what?!"
"Characters. Plot. Emotional scenes."
"Alright, don't turn this into an Anime War."
Raynare intervened pushing both of them apart before a fight between them could start causing them to look in separate directions.
"Buchou told me what I was…among her evil pieces."
Issei said in a saddened tone as he slumped back toward the ground as he stopped facing away from his brother and Raynare.
"Oh, she told you what piece you were."
After hearing the interested tone from Raynare, Issei nodded his head in agreement, while his brother guessed that it was something that he wasn't hoping for.
"I'm the weakest, a pawn. How am I going to become a high-ranked devil just like Buchou when I'm the weakest."
Issei replied causing both Kazuki and Raynare to stare at him with the same stumped look on their face. Once a minute passed, both of them started laughing out loud causing Issei to glare toward them in anger.
"What the hell?! Why're you laughing at me like that, while I'm depressed?!"
""Hahahahahahaha!""
Both continued laughing causing more anger to build in the older brother as he continued tightening his fist. But, it wasn't laughter toward his position, but it was toward his reaction about it.
"Hahahaha," Raynare continued to laugh before speaking. "We're not laughing about what you are?! We're both laughing about the fact that you don't know what a pawn can do! Didn't she explain anything?!"
"Nii-san, each of the pieces has its special characteristic. Enhanced speed for a Knight. Enhanced magical power for a Bishop. Enhanced strength and defense for a Rook. And a Queen has all three of those features. Though a Pawns is indeed worth much less compared to them, it also has its unique characteristic that makes them as special as the most important Queen."
"Huh? What is it?!"
Issei questioned becoming interested in the topic to where he grabbed onto his little brother's shoulders, which Kazuki ignored for a moment and just explained.
"Pawns can promote," Kazuki replied with the 'promotion' catching his brother's attention. "In the game of chess, a pawn can promote into the pieces aside from the King. This can be used when the pawn enters a base that their king designates as such or with their permission. As such, it means that a pawn can promote into a knight, bishop, rook, or even a queen."
"That means that I'll be able to become like Kiba, Koneko-chan, or Akeno-senpai! Thanks, little bro, I guess being a nerd who plays chess with Souna-Kaichou paid off."
"I'll remember that when you ask for help with your homework," Kazuki said in a serious tone that caused Issei to become apologetic knowing that Kazuki was his lifeline in school. "I'm pretty sure that anyone would've recalled a pawn can use 'promotion' even if you haven't played the game. There's also the fact that you asked for help when doing your job as a devil."
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Please don't abandon your older brother!"
Issei begged with his hands placed together as he begged his little brother, to where he even started to do a little religious mantra in the heat of the moment, which caused him to have a severe headache.
"Argh! Damn, that hurts!"
"Uh, Ise-kun. You do remember that you're a devil, right? So speaking mantras like that is fatal."
"Argh! Yes, I remember."
Issei replied shaking off the headache that he had just gained.
"Is there anything else that you're having issues within Rias-senpai's peerage, which doesn't include irrational aggression toward Yuuto-kun?"
"No, though I still don't like him…he still tries to talk with me. I'm being supported by everyone including Buchou and Akeno. And as long as I don't act…like always, I don't piss her off."
"It's good that you're getting a better opinion of Yuuto-kun since he doesn't deserve the slander that both you and your perverted friends give him," Kazuki said as he started to walk ahead of them, but before he walked passed Issei, he said something to him. "Believe it or not, you do have good qualities that could attract the attention of women like your kindness and straight-forward nature. So, you don't need to be like Yuuto-kun and just show off those qualities."
The three of them continued to walk and talk among themselves while heading in the direction of Kuoh Academy and arrived in their homeroom class. Their usual classes continued until lunch started and as usual, the group joined one another for lunch. After school ended, everyone either went to their usual club activities or home, Issei like always had to go to his meeting in the Occult Research Club.
Having arrived there, Issei once again had to do another request from a client and started to ride there on top of his bike as usual. Unlike the other times that he had ridden in the direction of his client on his bike instead of using a normal magic circle, he was letting out a laugh escape from his mouth.
"Hehehe, I already sent the address of this client to Kazuki who is leaving Kendo Club," Issei laughed as he rode his bike down a slope leading downward. "If I can finish this request perfectly, then Buchou will surely praise me."
Issei said with a lewd expression on his face while imagining how Rias would "praise" him, most of which had to do with her developed breasts.
He soon made it in front of a normal looking house, which didn't seem to have on their lights despite even though the owner was expecting a devil to come to their home. Issei was concerned about the client's family who was supposed to be home as well. Though he still got off the bike and headed toward the front door, then he pressed the doorbell. It should've sounded inside the house, but there wasn't a single response from the owner.
"Huh, isn't there supposed to someone home?"
Issei questioned as he pressed the doorbell several times but still didn't get a single response from the owner.
"Did they have to leave suddenly?"
Issei again questioned, preparing to call Rias to inform him about the client, but stopped after realizing that some light was leaking out from the door. He reached his hand out pushing the door inward, stepping inside the house, but he immediately felt a familiar sense of foreboding that traveled all across his body. It was the same feeling he had gotten after meeting the male fallen angel from before, but Issei still took off his shoes at the front entrance.
"Hello, I'm a devil from the House of Gremory."
Issei announced as he walked toward the lone room leading into the house, which had a light turned on.
Though once he entered the room, Issei was overcome by a revolting scent that went straight into his nose and a sight that caused him to throw up on the ground.
"Gough."
Issei vomited on the ground bending himself down recalling the incident from before where he didn't throw up in the fight against the stray devil, Viser. But this, couldn't have been the work of a human.
Hanging upside down on the wall of the house was a man…or at least what Issei assumed. His corpse had been mutilated in different places to where it was impossible to tell what wound was initiated first and he even seemed to have been gutted causing his blood to be stained on the ground. And what kept the man's body from falling on the ground where the different sized screws that impaled him to the wall. Along the wall next to him was some writing written in a language that Issei couldn't understand.
"W-What the hell is this…? I don't think that a human could've done this."
"It's written as 'Punishment for those who did bad deeds!'. I borrowed the sentence from someone important."
A sudden voice caught his attention and he turned in that direction.
Heading into the room was a foreign young man who seemed to be around the same age as Issei dressed in the same clothing one would expect from a priest. His hair was colored white and his eyes were red. After seeing his clothing, Issei was reminded about something that Rias had said….
'Don't get involved with people from the Church. Especially the Exorcists. They are our biggest enemy. They can easily eliminate us because their powers are supported by the prayer of God.'
"Seriously, first I was attacked by a fallen angel and now a priest."
Issei cursed his luck after being reincarnated into a devil, which turned to terror as he noticed that the priest was coming toward him in a manner that seemed almost like a dance.
"I'm a priest~ A boy priest~ I cut down devil-like people~, and I laugh at them~ I cut the head of you Devils, and receive my meal~"
The priest sang in a manner that sent chills down his spine as he continued to come close toward him.
"My name is Freed Sellzen. I belong to a certain Exorcist organization," the priest now named Freed stood before Issei with an evil smile on his face before stepping back for a moment. "Ah, and just because I introduced myself doesn't mean you have to. I don't want to remember your name, so please don't. It's okay since you are going to die soon. I will make sure of it. It might hurt at first, but later you will feel so good that you will cry. Now let's open the new door -ZE!"
Issei questioned whether or not this person was sane or not.
"Hey, was it you? Did you kill this person?"
"Yes, yes. I killed him. Because~, he was a criminal who has been summoning Devils, so I had to kill him."
"What the hell?!"
His reason for killing this person didn't make sense to him.
Issei wasn't a believer in the Church like Kazuki, and was, in fact, a devil himself, but there wasn't an excuse that justified him killing an innocent himself.
"Huh? Are you shocked? Aren't you running away? That's weird? Weird. I mean humans who make a pact with Devils are scum. Scum indeed. Can't you understand that? No? Is that so? Well, you are a scum Devil after all."
"How can a human kill another human, then!? Aren't you only supposed to kill Devils?"
Having heard that from Issei, Freed stopped dancing as he arrived in front of the man who he had just mutilated and killed before Issei's arrival. His face soon scrunched up into a disheveled one, which displayed annoyance.
"Haaaa?! What the fuck is that?! A mere devil like you are lecturing me?! Hahaha, I laugh at this. You can probably get a reward for being hilarious. Okay, listen carefully, you shitty devil. Devils also uses humans' greed to survive and relying on a devil proves that you're no longer human," having said that Freed stoned on the face of the man who laid hung up on the hall without remorse. "It's the end. That's why I killed him~. That's my job, I make a living by killing devils and those and those that are contracted to a devil."
Freed continued to laugh as he continued killing the dead man's face.
"Even Devil's won't go this far!"
Issei's response again caused anger to well up within Freed as he glared towards him in a hateful manner.
"Haa~? What are you talking about? Devils are trash. Do you know they are a shitty existence? Do you know this is common sense? Didn't you know? Seriously, you should start your life back from a toddler. Wait, it's useless to tell this to a reincarnated devil like you. More like, I have to kill you! Hahahaha. It's awesome, isn't it? It's the best, isn't it?"
Freed pulled out a hilt without a blade attached to it and a gun, which caused Issei to jump defensively and was prepared to run. Seconds later, the air vibrated and a blade made up of light had come out from the hilt, which made it look like a beam sword.
"You kind of irritate me, so can I cut you? Can I shoot you? Is it OK? Okay then. Now I'm going to stab your heart with this blade of light, and I'm going to blow your head with this cool looking gun! Man, I'm seriously going to fall in love!"
Freed rushed at Issei slashing his light sword, the latter avoided it after stepping back, but there was still a slight tear in his shirt.
"Guaaaah!"
Despite avoiding the blade, Issei felt an intense pain in his leg and noticed that there was a bullet-shaped hole in it. There was also a burning sensation in his light similar to when his stomach was stabbed by a light spear.
"How is it!? The special bullet made for the Exorcists, the bullet of light! And it doesn't make any sound. Since its bullet of light. This situation turns both of us on, doesn't it?"
Issei was also told that light was poisonous for devils who lived in the darkness. In response to his pained look, a deranged expression appeared on the face of Freed who proceeded to rush toward Issei.
"Die, die, devil! Die, devil! Turn to dust and disappear! This is all for my entertainment!"
"Please stop!"
A sudden voice caught the attention of both Issei and Freed, the latter changed the path of his slash causing the veil she was wearing to be slashed and even cutting open the middle portion of her outfit revealing her white bra.
"Kyaaa!"
After noticing her current state, she covered herself up.
"Well if it isn't my assistant, Asia-chan. What happened? Did you finish putting the barrier?"
"N-Noooooooo!"
The young girl was, in fact, Asia, the same blonde nun that Kazuki had met yesterday, but Issei stared at the girl as he didn't know her. She didn't answer Freed about the barrier but instead screamed after noticing the state of the mutilated corpse that was pinned on the ground.
"Thank you for the adorable scream! Oh yeah, this is your first time seeing a corpse-like this, isn't it, Asia-chan? Then look carefully. We have the humans that are entranced by a Devil die like this."
"N-No."
Asia was in disbelief about the words that had come out of his mouth.
"…Father Freed…that person…."
"Person," Freed questioned as he wagged his finger before pointing toward Issei. "No, no. That shit over there is a devil. Hahaha, what are you misunderstanding?"
"Kazuki-san is a…. Devil…?"

"Eh?!"
Issei shouted after realizing that Asia had just mistaken him for Kazuki, which wasn't all that surprising since the same thing happened after entering school. Though his shout caught the attention of Asia who stared at him with a confused look on her face. Asia stared at 'Kazuki' who seemed to have been acting weird.
"Huh? What's wrong Kazuki-san?"
"W-W-Wait, I'm not Kazuki. Who're you?!"
"Uhhh," Asia looked as if she were prepared to cry as 'Kazuki' looked as if he didn't know her. "Why're you acting like you don't know me? Did I do something wrong?"
After looking at the saddened look on her face, Issei felt immediately terrible for some reason, but then looked at her face and body causing him to tighten his fist in anger.
"That bastard has all the luck with the ladies! Where did he find a blonde bishoujo." Issei shouted in his hand as he noticed that the confused/sad look that she was giving him. "I'm not Kazuki. My name's Issei Hyoudou, Kazuki is my little brother…we're twins."
"Kazuki-san's older brother. Ah, he mentioned that he had an older brother last night."
"Eh, last night?!"
Issei seemed to have mistake the context of 'last night', Freed, on the other hand, stared at what was happening with an annoyed look on his face.
"What the fuck?! What are both of you talking about?! Do you know each other or not?! I even told you not to tell me your name!"
Due to all the complex things that had happened, Freed started stomping on the ground and glared towards Issei whose name he had heard. He later made a deranged look on his face and pointed his sword toward Issei again, then started to approach him again.
"Well now, leaving that aside, I need to kill this trash here or else I can't finish my job. Are you ready?"
Freed questioned as he approached Issei again with his sword, the latter started to feel fear overcome him as he recalled the first time that he had died, the second time he was almost killed and would have if Rias hasn't shown up to save him. He recalled the talk that he had with Rias about the church in town.
'You avoided death as a human by being resurrected as a devil. But devils who are exorcised are terminated…a devil whose exorcised returns to nothing.'
That alone was enough to cause him to be afraid of dying at the hands of an exorcist, but Freed's path had been blocked by the blonde nun. Despite the tear down her clothing causing her bra to be exposed, she remained in front of Issei holding her arms out in a defensive manner.
"…Hey, hey. Are you serious? Asia-tan, do you know what you are doing?"
"…I do. Father Freed, I beg you. Please forgive this person. Please let him go."
Issei was surprised that Asia stood before him and was protecting him from Freed, who stared at her with an odd look on his face. He had heard that nuns and exorcists were the enemies of devils, but there was a nun right now before him protecting Issei, a reincarnated devil from an exorcist. Asia couldn't help but glance in the direction of the man was mangled and nailed on the wall.
"I can't stand it any more…. You can't kill people just because they were entranced to a Devil and you also can't kill Devils. It's wrong!"
Asia argued in a strong voice causing Freed to become angered by the words that had come out of her mouth.
"Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!? Don't talk shit, bitch! You learned that devils are trash at the Church! Seriously, is there something wrong with your brain!?"
Freed argued back with an anguished face.
"There are good people, even among Devils!"
"There aren't, idiooooooot!"
"I-I believed that there are good people even among devils. …And, I believe that Issei-san is a good person since his younger brother is a good person! Killing someone is unforgivable! This is a kind of act that God won't allow!"
For some reason, Issei noticed that when Freed heard that name "God", his face scrunched up into one that had displayed true anger. Without warning, he struck Asia on the side of her face using the butt of his gun.
"Kyaa."
Asia screamed as she landed on the ground.
"Oi, asshole!"
Issei shouted he had noticed that Asia had a bruise on her cheek and even some small trace of blood started to leak out from the corners of her mouth. Freed had made an emotionless look as he stared at Asia getting herself up off the ground enough to sit down upright.
"…The Fallen Angel girl told me very strongly that I can't kill you. But, I'm getting a bit pissed off," Freed said in a cruel manner approaching Asia who stared at him in a terrified manner as he wrapped his hand around her neck, but it isn't tight enough to stop her breathing. Though tears started running down her eyes as she felt Freed place the muzzle of his gun on her skin underneath her bra. "Since I can't kill you, then can I rape you? If I don't, I won't be able to heal my heart."
After hearing that Issei gritted his teeth and stood up on his feet despite the pain from his legs, which had caused Freed to glance toward him. He soon summoned his sacred gear, the red gauntlet that he had awakened after he entered the Occult Research Club. Issei didn't know who Asia was aside for the fact that she was a nun, but that didn't matter for him at the moment.
"I don't know who that girl is, but how can I abandon her like that after she tried to protect me."
"Eh? Seriously," Freed said as he stood up from the ground removing his hand from Asia's neck. "You're going to fight? You will die, you know? You will die with a lot of pain? I have no intention of killing you painless…eh."
Freed stopped after noticing that Issei had made a shocked look on his face.
"Ah, what's wrong? Hahaha, what happened to that…?"
Before Freed could react, he could feel that someone arrived in front of him and turned his head toward the right, then noticed that someone's feet were being aimed at him.
"Shit!"
Freed shouted as he was kicked in the side of his face with enough force to send him in the direction of the wall, then caused his light sword to fall to the ground. The reason that Issei was surprised was that he had known who that person was.
"K-Kazuki?!"
"Kazuki-san!"
Issei shouted in shock alongside Asia, the latter had started crying after seeing him.
It was, in fact, Kazuki who had kicked Freed toward the wall using a sharp kick, but he looked to have started to breathe in a manner that caused Issei to become worried.
"Kazuki, what're you…?"
"Huh? Did you forget that you were the one who had asked me to come here?"
Kazuki questioned back throwing Issei's shoes toward him and signaled that it would be best if he had put them on, which he had done without question. He later walked toward Asia noticing that her face had been bruised due to the exorcist he had sent backward into the wall and noticed that her clothing had been torn.
"Asia-san, did he do that to you?"
Kazuki questioned as he took off his school blazer and wrapped it around her so that it could cover her revealed skin and bra. Asia hesitated to answer him knowing that it could cause more trouble for him, but she nodded her head not wanting to lie to him again.
"…I'm sorry."
Asia apologized as she covers her face using both her hands with tears started to leak out from her eyes, but she felt her hands being brushed aside by Kazuki in a gentle manner; who had soon wiped away her tears using his fingers. He smiled at her in the same fashion as he had before after they had first met.
"You don't have to apologize for anything. I should've guessed that there was something wrong."
"…Kazuki-san."
Asia said his name in a low tone, but before either of them could say anything else.
"Ahhh, what the fuck?!"
Freed stood back up after being sent backward into the wall, holding up his light sword toward Kazuki who stood in front of Asia and Issei who walked towards them. After staring at Issei and Kazuki noticing their similar faces, Freed started letting out a loud laugh.
"Kahahahaha! What is this?! There are two of you! So one of you is a filthy devil and the other one is a human! Haha, this is hilarious! So do either of you get along with one another! It must be rough for you to have an older brother who is also a lowly devil! Does that mean that you also know Asia-tan?! Are the twins double-teaming the blond nun?!"
Both Kazuki and Issei started to twitch their eyebrows after hearing the obscene comments that Freed was spouting out in front of them. But, the former ignored it for a moment and glanced toward Asia who remained scared beside him noticing her bruised face
"Asia-san can you heal his leg? Then your face."
"Yes."
Asia replied in response to his whispers, then started to heal the wound that Freed had caused.
Kazuki summoned the same bokken that he had brought from the kendo club using magic, then reinforce both it and himself using magic. Freed rushed towards him planning to use the same tactic that he used against Issei, in which he planned to slash his sword, then shoot him in the leg. Though as soon as their light and wooden swords were about to clash, Kazuki used the same move that he had learned from Kaito, merging his move with Freed's, then caused him to stumble forward.
It didn't take Kazuki long to realize that despite his vulgar nature, Freed had him beat in multiple categories such as sword skills and combat experience, which meant that he needed to be creative. Freed started to rush toward him for a second time using both his sword and gun, the former he could handle to some extent, but some bullets made contact with his skin. Though it bruised his skin, it didn't pierce through him due to a basic barrier that he learned from that journal Raynare had given him. However, the pain in the places that were shot did slow him down a little bit compared to usual.
Freed managed to get behind Kazuki making at stab at him using his light sword, which caused Issei who was stabbed to stand up in anger.
"Shit, Kazuki!"
"Hahaha, die!"
Before Freed could do anything though, there was a bright white light that had sprouted from his back, which caused his light wings to shot out throwing Freed back. Moments after Freed landed on the ground, Kazuki reached his hand out and touched him on the shoulder.
[Divide!]
A familiar noise resounded from his light wings as Freed felt half his strength vanish from him.
"Ah, bitch!"
Freed shouted as he made another slash toward Kazuki who moved back from him but was breathing a bit after all of the quick movements that he had made and after using Divine Dividing. Asia stared at him in wonder after noticing the wings on his back causing her to realize that it must've been a sacred gear, which Kazuki made disappear again.
"What a vulgar mouth," Kazuki said as he glared toward Freed who stood upward. "Seriously, attacking Nii-san who hadn't done anything and Asia-san."
"Ahaha! Devils and humans can never coexist! Especially humans who come from the Church and the Devils are the biggest enemies! Also, we are a group of heretics that was deserted by God. Asia-tan and I are humans that can't survive without the support of Fallen Angels-sama."
"Fallen Angels," he questioned as he glanced toward Asia who finished healing Issei and did as Kazuki said and started to heal herself. "Then that means that you are just a heretic vulgar stray."
"Yeah, yeah! I'm vulgar! Sorry about that! That's because I strayed away! I was kicked out! That's why screw the Vatican! I'm all right as long as I get to cut Devils whenever I feel like it!"
Kazuki felt disgusted by the words that came out of his mouth, but he noticed that there was a crack in the sword in his hands.
"This can probably take one more hit before breaking. I didn't enhance it enough to handle that light sword."
He surmised as he noticed that Freed rushed toward him again using his light sword, but both of them stopped as a red flash overcame the room. Kazuki who had read about magic circles belonging to the 72 Pillars, he knew who it belonged to and Issei who had seen who it belonged to. Four shadows came from the magic circle, three of them being a woman and one being male.
"Hyoudou-kun, we came to rescue you."
"Ara ara. This is awful."
"…Priest. Hmmm, Kazuki-senpai?"
Kiba, Akeno, and Koneko, the latter realized that Kazuki was also there. Upon hearing that from Koneko, the two others also realized that he was there alongside a blonde-haired nun. And the fourth among them being the King of the group themselves, Rias who glared after noticing the slashes on his clothing.
"Hyahou! Here's a present for a group of Devils!"
Freed said with a sadistic smile on his face rushing toward them using the light sword, but his path was blocked by Kiba who arrived in front of him wielding his sword. Both of them continued to clash against one another, while their swords' clashes caused sparks in the air.
"You are the type that is the hardest to deal with. Someone who feels like they are living by cutting Devils…the one who causes the most harm to us."
Kiba said as their swords continued to clash against one another, with Freed avoiding the last slash that aimed at him while laughing in his usual maniacal manner.
"Haaaaah!? You know, I don't want to be told off by a Devil? I'm trying to live now just like other people! I'm not in a position where pests like you can talk down to me!"
"Even Devils have rules."
Akeno said in a cold tone, which gave off the kind of killing intent that sent a chill down the spine of the maniacal former exorcist.
"Nice! I love those passionate eyes. You're the best, Onee-san. I can feel your urge to kill him. Is this love? No, I think it is killing intent! Superb! This is great! I love the feeling of intending to kill and getting intended to kill!"
As Freed continued to laugh at all of them, the three consisting of Kiba, Koneko, and Akeno continued to glare in his direction, while Rias started to walk toward Issei who remained near Kazuki and Asia. After kneeling in front of him, she noticed the blood on his clothing, but she couldn't see a single wound on him.
"Ise, I'm sorry. I never expected that a Stray Exorcist will visit this client's house," Rias said displaying an honest sincerity about the situation and questioned his current state. "…Ise. Did you get wounded?"
"Ah, sorry…I was shot. …but that girl, Asia healed it."
Issei said in a joking manner trying not to make the situation as severe as it was.
"Looks like you have been looking after my cute servant?"
Rias spoke in a tone that displayed the same level of coldness as Akeno, as she turned in the same direction as Freed who continued to laugh at them while sticking out his tongue.
"Yes, yes. I have been playing around with it," Freed said as he started laughing louder not noticing that Rias was gathering demonic power in hand, which was directed toward him. "I was planning to cut up his body all over but I was interrupted and it finished like a dream."
DON! Rias unleashed her demonic power erasing a section of the wall near Freed who stared at the hole with an astonished and shocked look.
"I never forgive those who harm my servants, especially a lowlife like you."
Rias said in a cold tone as she noticed that Freed was marveling in the destruction that she had caused. Akeno, on the other hand, glanced toward the direction of the window as if she had sensed something. After looking out of the window, she noticed that several people were heading toward this house.
"Buchou, there seems to be fallen angels heading to this house. At this rate, we will be at a disadvantage."
After hearing that from Akeno, Rias clicked her tongue, while Freed laughed in an amused manner noticing that a lot more reinforcements were coming for him.
"…Akeno, we will return to our headquarters once we retrieve Ise. Prepare for teleportation."
Rias advised as Akeno nodded her head in agreement and started to create a magic circle, but both Koneko and Kiba had made a complicated look realizing what that meant, which was exemplified as Issei glanced toward his little brother and the nun that he had protected.
"Buchou! We have to bring Kazuki and that nun…Asia."
"It's impossible," hearing those words from Rias caused a shocked look to appear on his face. "This magic circle can only be used by devils to transport. Also, this magic-circle can only teleport me and my servants. Kazuki-kun aside, that girl is also aligned with the fallen angels."
Hearing that caused Asia to tighten her grip on Kazuki, while she looked shaken about the situation and after the fallen angels being mentioned. Kazuki himself knew the kind of situation that Rias was in and couldn't blame her for not wanting to assist Asia. Koneko and Kiba, as well as Akeno, started to walk toward the magic circle meant to transport them to the Occult Research Club.
"Buchou, I can't just leave my little brother here by himself."
Issei continued to protest to leaving his younger brother in this dangerous situation. But the moment that he had stood up in front of them, he felt that he was being forced forward toward the magic circle causing him to let out a slight shout in panic. It didn't take long to realize what it was as he turned towards Kazuki who had placed his leg back on the ground.
"Why'd you kick me?!"
"Why do you keep treating me like I'm five-years-old? Though, I have some…specific issues, I can handle myself than you can right now if I downed you using a little kick. Don't underestimate me!"
Kazuki replied as Issei stared back at him in shock and frustration as the magic circle began to let out a bright light which meant it was going to activate.
"Like I will let you escape!"
Not letting this chance slip, Freed rushed toward the escaping with both his gun and sword prepared to hit them. But he stopped running after noticing that Kazuki had thrown his near bokken at him then slashed it without much issues letting out another maniacal laugh.
"How did you think that would…?! Shit!"
Freed noticed that at the same time that he sliced the sword, Kazuki picked up a chair from the nearby table then struck the former exorcist with it as hard as he could after using magic to enhance his physical abilities. This also caused the light sword and gun that Freed was holding to fall on the ground, which Kazuki later took for himself.
"Son of a…."
Before Freed could do anything, Koneko picked up a couch and flung it toward Freed who was then knocked out due to the impact.
"I can manage on my own. I'll call you later to know I'm fine."
Kazuki stated as he continued to hold the chair in his hand, while the others later teleported with a hesitated look on their face. After noticing that all of them were gone, Asia looked toward Kazuki noticing that he was looking all around the areas as the fallen angels were getting closer.
"…Kazuki-san."
"I have an idea about how to get us out of here," Kazuki said as he looked toward the hole that Rias had made led to the backyard of the house. "I'm not leaving you behind even if you told me to."
"…."
Asia was shocked by the words that came out of his mouth, but she was happy.
"*Sigh* I feel sorry for the people who live here."
Kazuki said walking toward the front entrance that was down the fall, then held his hand out toward the still open entrance as he noticed more and more people were talking toward the entrance. A magic circle soon formed right in front of his hands as a fireball was fired outside of the house causing a large smoke cloud. It was a basic spell, which could create a fire attack large enough to cause this much damage. Kazuki soon fired off two fireballs that caused a large smoke cloud that covered most of the front entrance.
The impact had caused a disturbance among the people outside, which he assumed were the fallen angels who attacked them and also some stray exorcists.
"Alright, here goes nothing."
Taking the chair that he was holding, Kazuki launched it outside inside of the smoke cloud.
"There's something in the smoke."
"It must be one of them trying to escape!"
"Get them!"
Kazuki realized that without them being able to see anything, if a sudden shadow entered the smoke, then all the people would assume that it would be them. Noticing that all of them were heading inside of the smoke, he ran in the direction of Asia who looked confused about the situation until Kazuki grabbed her hand causing her cheeks to turn bright red.
"Let's go."
"…okay."
Both of them ran outside of the house into the backward, then started to run down the street leading the opposite direction of the house. Kazuki continued to run down the road that would make it impossible to see him due to all the buildings while dragging Asia with him. It didn't take him long to realize that Asia wasn't the athletic type and he would've been in a similar situation if he hadn't used reinforcement magic.
"I don't want to use Divine Dividing to fly just in case those fallen angels are in flight right now. And I can't return home, I doubt either of them will hesitate to attack Kaa-san and Tou-san if Asia-san was there. But, since Nii-san is Rias-senpai's pawn, then it could mean that they wouldn't risk it. Too many things are happening right now for me to come up with a proper plan!"
"K-Kazuki-san…I'm sorry, but I can't…run…correctly."
Asia said in an exhausted manner as he stopped for a moment so that she could catch her breath.
"…alright, how about this?"
"…huh?"
Before Asia knew it, she felt herself being lifted off her feet with Kazuki carrying her in his arms.
"…ehhh…Kazuki-san?"
Asia's face turned bright red as she noticed how close she was to Kazuki in this position who also looked a little bit embarrassed about the situation after noticing how soft Asia felt.
"…I'm sorry, but this is the quickest way to travel."
"…uhhh…I see. But, where are we going?"
"Well, I can't go home right now. So, I guess that I'll go see a friend about this situation."
"A friend? But, wouldn't they get involved too?"
"This is a special friend, believe me."
After stating those words, Kazuki continued to run in the direction of his 'special friend' all while making sure that he wasn't seen by the fallen angels.
Meanwhile, in the Occult Research Club, Rias and the others had brought Issei back, the latter was checked upon by the others to ensure that he didn't have injuries. But, due to the sacred gear of Asia, there wasn't anything wrong with him aside from the emotional turmoil of leaving his little brother behind. Rias, while sitting behind her desk in the club room glanced toward Issei and started to explain.
"There are two kinds of exorcists," Rias started. "First, there are normal ones who receive blessings from God to perform exorcisms in the name of Justice. These are exorcists who borrow their powers from God and Angels to eliminate us, devils. And there is another one known as Stray Exorcists."
"Stray? So, they're like Stray Devils."
Upon hearing that from Issei, Rias nodded her head.
"Exorcism is a holy ceremony performed in the name of God and Justice. But, sometimes, some exorcists begins to find delight in the act of killing devils. Stray Exorcists believe that killing devils is their true purpose in life and were kicked out of the Church without exception. Or they're erased for being found guilty a lot like the stray devils that we hunt from time to time. But, there are some who either survive or escape before their sentence. Where else could they go if neither their God or Church will accept them back? It's simple. They go to the Fallen Angels."
"Fallen Angels are the ones with black wings, right?"
Issei surmised recalling that both his 'girlfriend' and the male fallen angel who attacked him before both had black colored wings while recalling that most angels had white wings.
"Yes. Though fallen angels were former pure angels who were kicked out of Heaven, they still possess the power of light, the power to eliminate devils. Like us, who lost most of our forces, the fallen angels who lost most of their comrades in the previous war started to collect servants."
Her explanation was enough for him to understand the situation, which meant that both that Freed that he met in his client's home was a former exorcist now aligned with the fallen angels.
"So the fallen angels who find the devils a nuisance and the exorcists who want to kill Devils all have the same objective, right?"
"Yes," Rias nodded her head and replied. "This is why they're called Stray Exorcists. Like that stray exorcist you met, the others who became addicted to hunting devils begin to also attack humans with connections to devils borrowing the powers from fallen angles. Though they aren't proper exorcists…no, because they have little to no restrictions on them, they are more troublesome compared to actual exorcists. It's not smart to become aligned with them. So, the Church in town doesn't belong to God, but the fallen angels."
Hearing all of this caused Issei to tighten his hands, it didn't take him long to realize that it was the same Church that Kazuki used to go around when it wasn't abandoned. And it was the same place that he much has met Asia at, which could explain why both of them knew each other.
"Buchou, I need to assist Kazuki and that girl!"
Issei said in a strong tone as he stood up to his feet, but much to his dismay, Rias shook her head.
"It's impossible. How would you fight them? Issei, you're a devil. Kazuki-kun aside, that girl is one of the servants of the fallen angels like that exorcist. It's the two kinds that can't coexist. Kazuki-kun isn't affiliated with either side so if he saved her, then there's a chance that nothing terrible would occur. But, if you ended up making enemies of the fallen angels, then we would have to fight. As I said before, the Three Factions are in a terrible state at the moment and our fighting could end up restarting a war."
"…."
Hearing those words from Rias, Issei sat back down in his seat tightening his hands as others like both Koneko and Kiba looked down sharing the same opinion as him. Though both of them knew that they were in a tight spot due to the current status of the Three Factions. Rias realized that he was just worried about his little brother and couldn't blame him at all for his reaction.
"Why don't all of you return home? There's someone that I need to talk to first."
Rias said as she glanced toward the rest of her peerage who nodded their heads in agreement, even Akeno who was her Queen. After noticing that everyone had left, Rias stood up from behind her desk and started to head to the direction of 'that person'.
Rias left the Old School Building and went to the New School Building where there was one person, in particular, who she believed would still be in school at this time. She arrived in front of the Student Council Room knocking on the door until she heard 'It's open' from the lone occupant. After opening the door, she walked inside the room where she noticed Sona sitting behind her desk going through s number of different files.
"I thought that you'd be here. Ever the diligent council president, Sona."
Rias said in a calm tone as she took a seat in one of the couches in the room.
"Well, I just finished the documents meant for the school," Sona explained as she took off her glasses and wiped them using a cloth. "These are just some files related to my household. But, I believe that you wouldn't come all the way here to talk about my clan duties."
"Ever so perceptive as well. Well, there seems to be some trouble with our kouhai and my pawn."
"Ah, you must be referring to Kazuki-kun and that nun that he ran into."
"So, you've been watching him."
Rias said in a tone that displayed a teasing manner toward her friend who maintained her usual composure.
"I'm just interested in the future of Kazuki-kun," Sona played it off. "I just had some familiars follow him around in case something happened. I was informed about his encounter with the nun that had arrived in Kuoh Town, but I have reason to tell him to avoid her since he isn't one of my servants."
Hearing Sona state that caused Rias to nod her head in agreement.
"I doubt he would've listened. I've heard in despite their differences, the previous Hakuryuukou has all been people who followed their ideologies and paths without fear about what others thought. But, in this kind of situation, what these fallen angels are doing is kinda odd."
"Having the one known as Raynare entering this school under the alias of Yuuma Amano to survey Kazuki-kun, but then sends three other fallen angels to later kill both of them without discretion. I believe that this situation will deserve some looking into."
Sona replied as she went back to going over the files that were in front of her as Rias nodded her head.
Meanwhile, in the apartment of Raynare, the fallen angel was laying down on her couch watching as a certain drama program that she had got into was being played. She was dressed in pajamas, which had the buttons near the top opened revealing her breasts as she ate out from a large bowel of popcorn.
"Ah, things are getting interesting~ I mean, having an affair with your girlfriend's brother's girlfriend."
Raynare cooed as she stared at the screen in bliss.
Seconds later, she heard rushed knocks on the door that seemed as if someone were panicked about causing her attention to be cut short from the drama program.
"Huh? Who would be knocking on the door at this hour? I doubt that it would be Azazel-sama since he would've just barged in. It wouldn't be Gadreel and the others since neither of them should know this address."
Raynare surmised as she stood up on her feet, then started to head toward the front door, but stopped after she heard a person she hadn't heard before.
[…please help! We need your help! Raynare-san!]
"I'm coming," Raynare had said as she prepared to attack if there was someone dangerous and opened the door. "Alright, who is…kyaaa?"
After opening the front door, before she could react, a familiar person had fallen on top of her, which cause her to also fall backward on the ground.
"Ouch, who is…ah?!"
Upon realizing who had fallen on top of her, Raynare's cheeks had turned bright red from embarrassment. It was revealed to be Kazuki and both of them were in a compromising position. He had fallen in between her legs while his face was in-between her large breasts.
"Eh…K-Kazuki-kun…," after noticing that it was him, Raynare started stammering with her words. "..ah, if you…wanted to do…things, then you should tell someone…first…."
"Hahaha…."
Raynare noticed that he was breathing erratically and sweat was coming from his face, as well as the fact that Asia was standing there breathing heavily. After running almost all the way here, the magic had worn off and Kazuki became exhausted like that, then Asia assisted him in making it the rest of the way. It was surprising that she was able to even bring him all the way here.
"…I tried healing him, but nothing worked…please, can you help, Kazuki-san?"
Asia begged as tears started falling from her eyes.
"Alright, but I want to hear who you are and what happened."
Raynare replied as she calmed down, then started to assist the fallen Kazuki onto her couch and placed a hand on his forehead and cheek.
"He doesn't appear to be injured, just exhausted. Could go and bring me something to wipe the sweat off of him, there is a closest with towels down the hall."
"…alright!"
Asia started to run in the direction that Raynare had pointed out, while she stared at Kazuki who had laid on her couch breathing in a labored manner. Asia later returned with a wet towel, she started to wipe his forehead that had become almost drenched in sweat. Due to the sudden sensation, he opened his eyes, then glanced towards both Raynare and Asia who stared at him with concern in their eyes.
"…you're awake, Kazuki-san."
"What happened Kazuki-kun?"
Asia as happy that he was awake, while Raynare wanted to know what happened.
"…I'll explain later," Kazuki said reaching into his pocket to pull out his cellphone. "I gotta call my brother and my parents to make sure that neither of them becomes worried. …hello, Nii-san."
Kazuki took a while talking to Issei who was concerned about him after their encounter with Freed, then after he had hung up the phone, he contacted his mother. He took a much longer time talking with his mother who was a little more concerned about his safety due to certain past issues. After a while, he had convinced her that he was at a friend's house helping them with their studies and was spending the night there.
Having finished talking with both his brother and mother, Kazuki laid back down on the couch letting out a long sigh as he stared at the apartment ceiling.
"I'm sorry, Kazuki-san."
After hearing Asia apologize to him again, he turned toward her offering a sincere smile, then reached his hand and placed it on top of her head petting it.
"You have nothing to apologize for, Asia-san. None of this should've happened to you, to begin with."
Hearing those comforting words from Kazuki caused Asia to lower her head as she sniffled.
"Alright, as promised. I'll explain what happened as best as possible, but first, this is Asia Argento."
"…Hello."
"I'm sorry, but are you the Holy Maiden?"
Asia notably shuttered after hearing that name, but she nodded her head without turning to face her gaze, which caused her to sigh a little. Not from her response, but due to what this situation meant.
"Well, it seems that I also have to tell you something, Kazuki-kun."
Raynare had stated as she picked up one of the pillows from the couch and sat on top of it while turning around so that she could face both of them. What she had said caught his attention, but Asia looked saddened as if she was just reminded about something terrible in her past.
"Can you explain it so that it isn't something that disturbs Asia-san?"
"…okay. I'm sorry, I'll explain as much as I can."
Raynare agreed after noticing how shaken Asia was after hearing the 'Holy Maiden' and she decided to explain it in a way that wouldn't cause her to relive something terrible. This sentiment caused Asia to also smile toward the one person who had been truly kind to her throughout this entire ordeal. And it was then that Asia decided that it would be her who explained her past to Kazuki since she didn't want to lie to him anymore.
A/N: And there goes chapter five of The Twin Dragons, at first, we get to see Asia inside of the Church in a situation where we can already tell what's happening. Just to be clear, I don't hate Dragon Ball, I love both series. I just thought that since Issei was a Dragon Ball Fan, Kazuki could be a One Piece fan. There is a little talk between the three second-years with there being an explanation about the pawn piece. Next, things went to Issei meeting Asia and Freed for the first time, with Asia confusing Issei for Kazuki since both of them are twins. Later, Kazuki had a short fight with Freed and escaped after Rias and the others had teleported away with Issei. In the end, both Kazuki and Asia ended up taking refuge with Raynare.
