Welcome to the next chapter of The Twin Dragons, but before starting. Let us answer some reviews:

Saving a Friend Part 1

Issei had awoken in his bedroom staring at the ceiling thinking about the incident that had occurred the other day with Kazuki being left behind with Asia. He was told that he couldn't remain to assist his little brother and he was unable to even convince Rias to let him assist them.

"I even couldn't assist my brother. Ha, not that he would need it either way."

Issei laughed not at his comment, but himself as he leaned up from his bed glancing toward a photograph that remained near his bedside. In the photograph, there was a picture of both him and Kazuki as kids alongside their parents. Issei later recalled the words that Kazuki had told him last night.

'I can handle myself than you can right now if I downed you using a little kick. Don't underestimate me!'

"Heh, who would've thought that those words would've come from that little crybaby?"

Issei questioned after laughing again recalling all the times that Kazuki had cried in the past for various reasons.

Soon enough, after noticing that his parents weren't going to enter his bedroom, he glanced towards his left arm, then caused the red gauntlet to appear on his arm. After placing his hand on the gauntlet noticing the material on it had a life-like feel to it, which made him realize that it wasn't just a simple item.

"Oi, you're supposed to be my sacred gear, right? Can you do something awesome like Kazuki's?"

Issei questioned as he stared and talked to the red gauntlet on his left arm as if looking for a response, then later tightened his hand.

"I'm too weak," Issei again spoke to the sacred gear. "I couldn't even help like little brother like I had done before when we were kids. I hate that, being too weak to do anything. That's why I'm going to get stronger! Why can't I get stronger? Kazuki got stronger as a kid after middle school and I'm a devil now, so I can get stronger? I can ask Buchou and Akeno-san to help me train…I'll even ask Kiba. I may be a pawn, but I can aim for the top, right?"

Upon reacting to his sudden change in emotions and resolve to become stronger, a light began to shine from the jewel in the middle of his red gauntlet.

Knock! Knock!

"Issei are you dressed?"

"Huh?! Y-Yes."

Upon hearing the words from his mother who knocked on the door, Issei caused the red gauntlet to disappear so that she wouldn't see it. After she entered the bedroom, Issei noticed that she looked concerned for some reason and was concerned for a moment.

"Huh, what's wrong mom?"

"Oh, Kazuki's friend from school called and said that he became exhausted and couldn't go to school today," she had informed him causing Issei to recall that it must've been Raynare. "Don't be concerned, Kazuki said that he'll be fine after getting some rest."

Their mother informed him, but Issei could tell that she was the most concerned about him.

"I'll check with him after school ends."

Issei replied with his usual smile, which caused his mother some relief as she sighed and smiled.

"Alright, get ready to leave for school before you're late."

"…okay."

Issei replied in a hidden nervous manner as he recalled the words that came from Rias.

'Ise. You're allowed to skip school for the day and can use this time to clear your head and think about things. I'll clear things up with you're reaches so that your parents won't be informed.'

Issei guessed that Rias would use the same mind influence thing that she had done to their parents after finding both of them in bed together. And so, he planned to skip school for the day and go around town.

Meanwhile, in the apartment of Raynare, Kazuki had woke up still on the couch where he couldn't see either Asia or Raynare in the living room. In response to this, he glanced toward the ceiling of the apartment thinking about a lot of the things that happened and what he was told. He heard most of the truth about Asia, like the fact that she was abandoned by the Church and had nowhere else to go to.

Raynare later explained that Azazel had taken an interest in the former nun due to her rare sacred gear and was prepared to offer her sanction, knowing full well the hard life sacred gear users had. However, before one of the higher-ups from Grigori could encounter her.

'Someone else from Grigori had intervened and told her to come here to Kuoh instead.'

Those were the words that Raynare had said.

'Azazel-sama said that there was no one else who was supposed to know about Asia instead of one of the higher up members he trusted most, which could mean that….'

"Grigori must have a traitor among them, now. Hmm, what're we supposed to do now," Kazuki wondered placing both his hands behind his head. "Raynare said that there was a barrier that Azazel put around this apartment so that no one can enter or sense the presence of those inside the house. And no one else aside from Azazel and a couple of others know that she lives here."

Raynare went on an explained.

'After the thought of a traitor came to Azazel-sama. He decided that it would be best that he, Shemhazai-sama, and one more trusted agent knew about me coming here. That explained why Gadreel was so surprised about me being there with you on our date.'

"Well, we have to think about our next moves. Taking any longer ending things could just end up endangering our parents…ah, knowing Nii-san, he'll want to become involved."

[Well, the only option that you have is to fight back.]

Albion spoke up after hearing the thoughts of his partner.

"Ah, that is the simplest answer, but I doubt that I'll be able to handle fighting against both the exorcists and the fallen angels. I'm kinda a 'Glass Cannon' you know with my particular condition. But, it would be a different story if I had some assistance."

[Well, you do have that Gremory and Sitri Girls joined with their peerages.]

"I know, but due to their positions neither can become involved without definite proof that the fallen angels here are acting on their own volition. But, if word came from 'him', then…."

"Um, are you up, Kazuki-san?"

His thoughts were stopped due to Asia's sudden arrival as she remained in front of him dressed in the nightgown that she received from Raynare last night due to her clothes being ruined. Though the nightgown, in particular, is a bit…revealing, which was apparent by the blushed cheeks of the blonde girl. Despite not admitting it to her, he did believe that it looked good on her, but that caused some guilt to manifest within him since the nightgown was a little see-through meaning he could somewhat see what it was supposed to cover.

"Yes, I'm up. Good morning, Asia-san."

"Hmm, yes! Good morning, Kazuki-san."

Both greeted one another, as Kazuki leaned up before patting the free spot that was next to him. Taking the hint, Asia took a seat nervously nodded her head. Neither of them spoke a single word as they remained in the same spot unable to come up with a single thing to say.

""Uh, Asia-san/Kazuki-san.""

Kazuki and Asia questioned at the same time causing them to stare at one another in shock.

""N-No, I'm sorry, you can go first.""

Both did the same thing causing a laugh to escape from their mouth before Kazuki instead gestured towards the blonde girl with the exact smile that he showed her last night. After a breath escaped from her mouth, showing Asia's attempt to compose herself.

"I-I'm sorry that I lied to you when we first met. I didn't want to get you into any trouble, there…there were a lot of things that happened…after I left…after I was kicked out of the church for…for…."

Kazuki noticed that she was struggling to tell him something, but she couldn't get the words out.

"…I didn't have anywhere else to go…. I've been in the church for as long as I could remember…. There wasn't anything else that I could do aside from using my power to heal, but whenever I used it, I ended up attracting the same eyes as the people in the church near the end. …I was then approached by someone, an exorcist who said that there would be a place for me in another country…and I thought that I found a place that I could call home, but…."

He listened as she continued to pour her emotions into her words as tears already started to form in her eyes as she recalled all the events that occurred. Not liking the fact that tears were rolling down her face, Kazuki had placed his head on top of her head in a comforting manner. In response to this, Asia looked up to face him with a curious face, which Kazuki couldn't help but find cute. After shaking those thoughts aside, he grasped her hands in a comforting manner.

"You don't have to be concerned anymore. We're going to do something about both the fallen angels and former exorcists in the church. After that, I'll ensure that there's a place where you can call home."

From his words, Asia felt better compared to before, but her cheeks later turned bright red as she later snatched her hands from him and covered up her chest, while turning away from him.

"Ah, I'm sorry," Kazuki apologized as he scratched the back of his head. "Was I being too direct?"

"N-No, it's not that," Asia said as she continued to cover her chest as her face turned a brighter red. "Raynare-san…didn't have a…for me."

"Huh?"

"…I'm not…uh…a…."

"What's that?"

"Raynare-san didn't have a bra that fit me," Asia admitted in a nervous tone hugging onto her chest a little more. "So, I'm not….?"

"S-So, you're not wearing a…?"

At Kazuki's question, he recalled that before Asia stood in front of him, he could see the slight outline that in her chest area, which caused him to blush a deep shape of red. That did make sense since there was a difference in size when comparing their chest sizes. Both of them soon glanced to side with their embarrassment being shown in the current air around them.

"Ara, what's this? Did something interesting happen?"

Raynare questioned as she walked inside of the living room, Kazuki realized that her pajamas looked a lot more open compared to last night with her chest being more apparent due to being unbuttoned near the top. But, in response to her question, neither of them spoke a single word.

""Nothing happened.""

Both of them spoke in unison again, which caused Raynare to let out a slight laugh.

"Well, I won't pry into things anymore."

Raynare said as she took a seat on the couch next to the one that both Kazuki and Asia were sitting at, then she crossed her legs while leaning back into the couch.

"So, what do you want to do now, Kazuki-kun?"

In response to her question, Kazuki crossed his arms and started to think about the situation with a more calmed state of mind compared to yesterday night. There wasn't someone chasing over them now and he did have some time to think about the situation at hand.

"Well, all three of us can't take on those three fallen angels and exorcists who work under them. Since neither of them should know that she lives here, then we can remain here in hiding without being discovered. On one side, if we remain here, then they might lose interest in us and return to whoever they're working with. On another one, I doubt that Gadreel is the kind of person who would do that."

"You would be right. Gadreel is too prideful and arrogant to let anyone…even a human getaway. There also has to be some kind of person that they went to the trouble of even getting Asia-san to come here. I mean, sending a person to intercept her and bring her to the same town that two other subjects for observation."

"I mean, all three of us have sacred gears. Is Grigori doing something aside from finding sacred gear users?"

"I mean, there is the…oh no…."

After hearing that question from Kazuki, something popped into the head of Raynare as there was one thing that the researchers and developers in Grigori were working on dealing with sacred gears users. Having noticed how silent she became about it, Kazuki realized that it must've been something that could spell trouble for them.

"I heard about something from Azazel-sama about it, but it is something that I'm not supposed to talk about in the open. Well, it is something that I must contact Azazel-sama first about if it is correct."

"That's fine, that coincide with what I had in mind."

"Hmm, about Azazel-sama?"

"Yea. Here's what I thought about, which is the simplest way to resolve this."

She became interested in what he had in mind, then listened in as he explained the plan alongside Asia who had remained sitting next to him interested. Once he finished explaining everything, it seemed like both of them were taken slightly aback about it.

"That's the idea that I have in mind, but it all hinges on you going back to Grigori and talking with Azazel."

"I mean that is the simplest idea. And it'll, without doubt, solve the situation now, especially since neither of us can handle fighting all of them alone. This is especially true since Gadreel is without a doubt the strongest one among them and will be the most trouble to deal with. But, I will go to Azazel-sama and talk with him in person all about the situation at hand. What about you and Asia-san?"

"I think that it would be better to remain here. I believe that those fallen angels will be able to on the lookout for us if we decided to go out into the open."

Kazuki suggested, which Raynare thought about since that would be the safest option, but there was an idea that came to the mind of Raynare.

"Well, I have another idea that'll be a lot funnier for you and Asia-san."

"…huh?"

He questioned back after noticing the suggestive smile on her face as she soon pointed her fingers toward them.

"How about going on a date with Asia-san?"

In response to that, both of them stared at one another with a confused look on their face.

"W-Wait, I don't think that's a good idea," in response to his sudden reluctance, Kazuki noticed that Asia looked a little saddened about his hesitation. "N-Not that I have any problem aside from the obvious thing about us being seen out in the open by the fallen angels looking for us. I mean, they were just looking for us the other day."

"Would you listen to my suggestion before shooting me down?"

Raynare questioned back, which caught their attention as she started explaining her idea about them being able to go on their date.

Several minutes later, in the streets of Kuoh, Issei had found himself walking down the street looking for anything that could subdue his boredom. He first thought about going to the gaming center in a town like he always did with his friends or going to a local restaurant to get something to eat, which he would often go to together with either Kazuki or his friends. Just as Issei was glancing towards the window display nearby him, there was someone that caught his attention.

In the reflection walking in the direction of a fast-food restaurant that he had just passed in the business district, a couple (or at least that's what he figured since the girl was hugging his arm). There was a young man who looked to be the same age as Issei with wavy brown hair wearing glasses, a hat, and dressed in clothing that follows the trend of a 'cool teen'. And the young woman next to him was was blonde with the back of her hair tied into a bun twist wearing black glasses, a white blouse, black baret, blue jeans, sandals, and walking around with a purse.

"…huh?"

Issei didn't understand why, but there was something about that brown-haired young man that had caught his full attention.

"What's up with that guy? …why does seeing him with a girl…piss me off?"

There wasn't a reason for Issei to be getting mad toward someone that he hadn't even seen before, but there was a kind of feeling that bubbled up within him. It wouldn't be the first time that he'd seen two couples on a date when walking around Kuoh, but neither time did it cause such a reaction. But, whatever it was, it was a mixture of irritation and wonder.

"What's wrong with me," Issei questioned as he sighed. "Buchou might be right. I probably need a break."

Just as Issei turned around to continue seeing what he wanted to do, the brown-haired young man had turned his head around as if feeling someone looking at him. Noticing him move caused the blonde woman to glance in his direction in wonder.

"What's wrong, Kazuki-san?"

"Huh, I don't know why. But, I felt irritated a little."

It was both Kazuki and Asia in disguise going on a date as Raynare had suggested.

"Uhhh, did I do something wrong?"

"Ah, of course not. It was something else."

Kazuki replied as Asia smiled in response to that while hugging his arms tighter as her cheeks turned red due to how close the two were. After noticing the expression on her face, Kazuki smiled and recalled the words that had came from Raynare after Asia left to her room to get dressed.

'Okay, I know that this sounds dangerous taking Asia-san on a date, while you're being hunted. But, this will be a great experience for Asia-san. You've seen just how depressed she's been after what happened yesterday and I think that going around Kuoh Town with her hero will be able to take her mind off things for a while. Besides, if it does get dangerous, you could use Divide Dividing to get away from them…you have been practicing being able to fly using your light wings. In terms of flight speed, you should be able to either make it back to my apartment or retreat to your friends.'

Her suggestion did sound appealing as Kazuki could see the benefit if it meant that Asia wasn't sad anymore and he could just use Divine Dividing to escape if they're found out by the fallen angels. And besides, Asia did seem a lot more energetic and happier compared to before when she was sulking. Soon enough both of them arrived inside of the fast-food restaurant that was in front of them. And―

"…Auu."

Kazuki found himself looking on as Asia stood in front of the register of the fast-food restaurant starting on with a confused starting at the menu, which was written in Japanese. Noticing her initial struggle when it was her turn to order her food, Kazuki offered his assistance. Her response to his help was, "It's fine, I will manage it somehow", in a proud tone, which caused him to just let her attempt to order for herself. But, it was difficult since she didn't speak or read proper Japanese to order for herself.

"…Uh, what would you like to order?"

The cashier was unable to handle or understand the situation in front of him and unable to handle seeing Asia's struggle anymore, Kazuki stepped forward.

"I'm sorry. My friend is a transfer student and doesn't yet speak proper Japanese, she'll have the same as what I ordered. Please."

"Okay."

After receiving their order and payment, the cashier placed in their order to the workers who soon began to make their order. Asia, on the other hand, looked down shocked about what just happened as realizing that she wasn't able to order food by herself without help.

"Auu, I'm ashamed. I can't even buy a single hamburger by myself…."

Well, you can't blame yourself for that. First, you need to understand how to read Japanese, first."

Kazuki said placing his hand on top of her head in a comforting fashion.

Once Kazuki and Asia received their food, they moved to the closest table in the restaurant where both could sit in front of one another. Instead of eating the hamburger and fries in front of her, she stared at them with a look of confusion as she didn't understand how to eat it.

"Oh, first. Let us pray."

Asia said as she placed her hands together, which Kazuki also smile and followed her lead in praying.

"Um, there's no knife or fork."

"How cute," Kazuki thought in his head as she looked confused before opening the wrapping around the burger in front of him. "You can eat it after taking off the wrapping paper like this."

After he unwrapped the burger, he picked it up and took a bite out of it, which caused Asia to become transfixed on how he was eating. Kazuki realized that she must've not been used to seeing such a thing since she lived as a child, then nun of the church for as long as she could remember.

"T-There's a way to eat like that!? A-Amazing!"

"You can also eat fries like this."

Kazuki picked up one of the fires and popped it into his mouth chewing it sparking another adorable face from the blonde-haired girl. Asia looked forward noticing that he was urging her to do the same thing, then unwrapped her hamburger, then took a bite out of it. The moment that she chewed and swallowed it, her eyes shined as if stars seemed to glitter in them.

"D-Delicious! This burger is very delicious!"

Thumb.

"Ah, that's another time she almost stole my heart," Kazuki smiled as he noticed Asia before picking up the bottle of ketchup nearby and poured some of it on his fries. "Here try some of it like this."

Kazuki picked up one of the ketchup covered fries, then directed it toward Asia who stared at it in wonder as she opened her mouth and ate it.

"Hmmm, these fries are delicious like this!"

Asia again exclaimed in wonder as she tried the same thing on her fries, which caused Kazuki to smile at her as he noticed her having fun.

"I'm guessing that you never ate a hamburger or fries before."

In response to his question, Asia nodded her head in agreement as she even sipped the drink that he purchased along with the burger and fries.

"No. I have seen it often on television, but this my first time eating them. I'm moved! It's delicious! This soda was also very fizzy."

"So, what did you normally eat?"

"Mainly bread and soup. I also eat vegetable and pasta food."

Kazuki guessed it was something like that since he believed that most of the Church would eat something that was along those lines. He also realized that the part that Asia must've come from wasn't that connected to the current trend of the real world based on her reaction to things that people like him were used to already. He found out that Raynare was correct in suggesting that he took out Asia like this since it seemed to be just what she needed.

"Well, as long as she's happy," Kazuki said as he noticed that they were almost finished eating. "Hey, Asia-san. I want to suggest something fun."

"A-Ah, I'm listening!"

Asia said excitedly as she stared forward at Kazuki with stars practically in her eyes.

"How about we go to the Game Center?"

Having finished eating their hamburgers, both headed toward the direction of the Gaming Center, which wasn't at all that far from the fast-food restaurant. Once she entered the gaming center, Asia marveled at all of the different games that practically shined in front of her. Kazuki had directed her around the different games inside the center which included ones such as fighting and racing games. Though the next game that they moved onto next was―

"This is fun, Kazuki-san!"

"Do you think you can keep up?"

Asia and Kazuki were now playing a joined dancing game as a team, following the same directions that were being displayed on the screen in front of them. Both of them continued dancing with their feet stepping on the arrow on the game, but there were a lot of them that the two of them missed causing their score to dwindle. Kazuki took a slight glance toward Asia as she laughed with the slightest hint of sweat forming on her forward. This dance had continued for at least a minute before the timer ended.

"Hah, that was tiring."

Asia breathed out as she followed behind Kazuki who was a little more better off compared to her.

"But, that was fun, right?"

Kazuki questioned as he glanced toward her with a slight smile on his face as she breathed a bit, which caused a bright smile to be adorned on Asia's face.

"Of course, I never thought that I could have this much fun!"

Asia exclaimed with a bright smile and tone that displayed just how much she enjoyed herself.

Both of them left so that Kazuki could find another game for them to play, but stopped after noticing that Asia was standing in front of a crane machine with sparkles in her eyes. As soon as he made it behind her, Kazuki noticed what was inside the machine and it was a yellow doll that has a tail shaped like a thunderbolt. He realized that it was a mascot named "Rache-kun".

"Do you like Rache-kun?"

Kazuki questioned with a slight smile on his face.

"Eh? N-No, t-that is…."

Asia said as she blushed a deep shade of red at that question yet she couldn't help but lock her eyes on the doll, which seemed to smile at her.

"I see, I'll win it for you."

Kazuki declared stepping forward in front of the crane machine as Asia stared at him with a complicated look on her face while staring at him in disbelief.

"Eh? B-But, you don't have to…! You've already done enough as is."

"Asia-san, it's fine to do this for a friend, right?"

Kazuki questioned causing her to again stare at him in disbelief as if his words were an unknown thing to her.

"Alright, I need to play this game smart."

Kazuki thought to himself as he placed a coin inside of the machine, knowing through experience that getting any item from these machines could be difficult.

"Today without a doubt, I'll remove all sadness from her."

He declared inside his heart as he started playing the crane machine, where he picked up one of the Rache-kun using the lowered crane with its metallic claws wrapped around it. Kazuki could tell that it wasn't a good grip and it meant that Rache-kun could fall off the crane with even the subtlest of motions, which was why that he ensured it was close enough to the slot where it could be dropped.

Asia looked on in slight disappointment once she noticed that Rache-kun fell, but Kazuki smiled and he placed in another coin starting up the crane machine again. And in the second attempt, he was able to drop Rache-kun in the slot where it was meant to go into and took it out of the machine.

"Here you go, Asia-san."

Kazuki presented Rache-kun to the smiling Asia who hugged the yellow doll into her chest as a smile once again adorned her face.

"If a doll-like that makes you happy, then I could win you more next time."

"No, this Rache-kun you gave me represents the wonderful day I met you. I will take good care of this doll."

Her response caused him to smile as both continued going around the gaming center in bliss about today as they played more games until it seemed to be passed the time where school ended.

It was currently evening with the sun still somewhat out in the skies as Kazuki and Asia took a seat on the wooden bench, which was near the park. A slight sigh escaped from the mouths from both of them as their eyes were directed at the skies above them.

"Ah, we had fun the entire day."

"Y-Yes…I'm a bit tired…."

Kazuki and Asia gave out their replies.

Nether said a single word without a single care in the world as they enjoyed the peace, which remained around them. This didn't last time as there was a question that entered the mind of Kazuki, while there was also something that Asia had been meaning to tell him.

""Asia-san/Kazuki-san.""

Just like before, both Kazuki and Asia had spoken at the same time, which caused them to laugh.

"You can go first," Asia offered with a faint smile. "They're a long story that I want to tell you."

"Alright. The times you used that amazing healing power to heal that kid and Nii-san, it was a sacred gear, right?"

Hearing that question from him caused Asia to nod her head in agreement, which caused Kazuki to also nod his in response.

"Yes, it is."

"You know the light wings from last night, that was my sacred gear."

"Ah, I see," Asia said in a relieved tone. "I believed that's what it was. I was shocked to see that Kazuki-san had a sacred gear. My sacred gear is known as Twilight Healing."

"Mine is named Divine Dividing."

Upon hearing that name, Asia became shocked as she heard about Divine Dividing being among those kinds of sacred gears, which the Church has noted could be either harmful or helpful to them.

"One of the Thirteen Longinus? That's amazing!"

"Your sacred gear is amazing as well. It can heal humans and devils like Nii-san possibly even animals, Twilight Healing can heal anyone, right?"

Asia became shocked after hearing that from Kazuki, it wasn't about the fact that it could heal both humans and animals. It was that it could heal devils. It didn't take long for Kazuki to realize her sudden sadness, but before he could speak another work as Asia looked toward him and told him a tale.

It was about the girl once referred to as the "Holy Maiden."

In a certain region of Europe, there was a girl who was abandoned by her parents and raised in the church with the other orphans there by the nuns residing there. At around the age of eight-years-old, she awakened a special power that allowed her to heal an injured puppy where a catholic priest just happened to witness it. It was at that time that her life changed, the girl was brought into the Catholic Church lauded as the Holy Maiden.

In that life, she would heal the injuries while the followers believed that it was the divine protection from god and respected…all without her permission. Despite all this, she didn't hate how she was being treated or the fact that she was healing people. She loved that she was being of use to people and that her power all came from the God she worshiped.

However, there was one thing that she didn't have. All that she wanted was at least one friend that she could talk to and there wasn't a single person who desired to talk with her. There was no one she could open up to and she was lonely. It didn't take long for her to realize that those people who respected didn't see her as being a human, in fact, she was viewed as a monster who could heal.

This changed on the day she found a wounded devil, unable to ignore someone wounded in front of her, the girl chose to heal the wounded devil. All this was due to her kindness. However, the others in the church didn't see it as the same thing as one of the priests notified the other churches about the incident.

'A power that can heal Devils!?'

'Something absurd like that cannot happen!'

'The power of healing can only heal the followers of God!'

Of course, she had healed countless people in the past and could continue to heal others, however, a devil was outside of that equation. Those in the church believed that her divine protection shouldn't be able to heal either devils or fallen angles and it resulted in her being feared as a 'Witch'. And so, the Holy Maiden that people had all praised was instead viewed as a heretic.

'Damn witch that heals Devils!'

Afterward, she was abandoned by the Catholic Church left without a place to call home and had no choice but to seek out the protection of the fallen angels in Grigori. Despite all this, she didn't forget to pray and maintained her faith in God despite not being saved in the end.

"…It's because I didn't pray enough. I'm clumsy. I'm so stupid that I couldn't even eat a burger by myself."

Asia was once again crying as she held onto Rache-kun, which all caused Kazuki to tighten his fist in anger as all the source of her pain and saddens was put out in the open.

"This is also a trial that the Lord gave me. Since I'm a clumsy nun, the Lord gave me this trial. So I have to endure it all."

As Asia was filled with tears, Kazuki was filled with frustration and anger after hearing all the things that Asia had to go through.

"I'm sure I will make lots of friends one day. I have a dream. I want to go buy flowers with a friend, buying books and…talk…ah."

Asia stopped as she felt the person in front of her wrapping their arms around her in comfort, which attracted her attention and confusion by the suddenness of it.

"Ah, Kazuki-san?"

"There wasn't a single thing that you had done wrong."

"Huh?"

Asia while her face was flushed to the zero distance between them as she felt his embrace being strengthened in a more comforting manner instead of being restraining.

"Asia, there a question that I want to ask? Who was it that made Twilight Healing?"

"Ah, God of course."

"I haven't been raised in the church like you, but I know that God is a loving and caring person," Kazuki stated as he moved so that he could stare into Asia's tear-filled eyes. "Humans are fickle creatures who view people who're able to do things that they can't as monsters due to either fear or just simply being jealous. I also know that there are people who'll hate anything that doesn't coincide with their teachings or beliefs. Indeed, I don't know what went through the minds of those who treated you as the Holy Maiden, but I know that some were grateful for what you did for them. *Sigh* And some were just using to assist in their agendas and benefit without treating you with the kindness that you deserved just to further validate themselves. But, there is something that I want you to remember."

"Wh-What's that?"

After hearing the words that had come from Kazuki, Asia wanted to truly know what he had to see.

"To all the people who refer to you as a witch, just remember this," Kazuki brushed aside the tears that formed in the corners of her eyes. "It was God who created your sacred gear, which can heal anyone including that devil you saved. If it was truly a taboo, then why does it exist as it is now. And I know that some people wouldn't be able to comprehend this, but you're not a witch who can heal heals. You're the most generous and caring girl in the world who didn't hesitate to use the power from god bestowed for the benefit of someone else even if they were the opposite side. And this might my biased, but I believe that girl is the most loved by God."

Kazuki spoke those words with the highest kindness possible as Asia stared at him in disbelief at all the heartfelt words that he spouted in front of her. And it didn't take long for tears to trail down her face, not from sadness, but it was happiness as if those were the words that she had been longing to hear for so long.

"…."

Asia couldn't muster up a single word as her lips started to tremble from the joy that she felt.

"You said that this was a trial from God, right? I also believe that there are just some things…trials that we have to go through on our own to find what we're looking hoping for. Well, you won't have to endure it anymore since we did find one another in the end and became friends."

"Kazuki-san, we're friends?"

"Of course. We've been talking to one another over the phone for hours and we played together all day. There's more that we can do together. It may sound weird for a guy, but we can go shopping for books and flowers. After all, this is over, I can make it that you can be admitted to the same school as me. Though there are both Nii-san's friends and Aika-san who are perverted in their way, I'm sure that everyone will love to befriend you."

"…Kazuki-san," Asia spoke covering her hand with her mouth. "I have no common sense. And I can't even speak Japanese. I'll just keep getting in the way."

"As I said before, I can teach you, it'll be easier teaching you in person rather than over the phone and I can even take you to the museums and over cultural spots."

"…Will you become my friend?"

"Jeez, we're already friends," Kazuki said holding her hands in his. "And no matter what happens, I'll protect you from anyone and anything that causes you any kind of harm or suffering. It doesn't matter if it's an exorcist, devil, fallen angel or even a god. I'll never abandon you and I will always be by your side no matter what. We can do all the things that you ever wanted to do in life."

"Kazuki-san!"

Asia exclaimed in happiness as she wrapped her arms around him in a hug, which Kazuki smiled and returned.

"Aw, what an adorable thing. But, I'm afraid that's impossible."

That bewitching voice from a young woman caused both Kazuki and Asia to widen their eyes in shock, but for the latter, it was more so due to knowing who it was. Reacting fast, he took Asia and moved away from the bench as a young woman landed on it placing her hand over her mock letting out a mocking laugh.

"…That woman?"

Kazuki gritted his teeth realizing the identity of the woman as he stared at her face, it was the same face as in the photo that his brother had shown off his so-called girlfriend. She was named Kalawarner the fallen angel that killed his older brother.

"Ara, that's such an intense glare from my ex-boyfriend's little brother."

"…Kalawarner-sama…."

Kalawarner laughed as she jumped down landed on the ground in front of Kazuki and Asia who stepped from the young woman as the blonde nun stared at her in fear. She smiled in a devious manner as she stared passed the brown-haired young man and stared at Asia who remained shaking.

"That girl. Asia is our belonging. Can I have her back? Asia, you know it's useless to run away?"

Despite saying that in a gentle tone, there wasn't such a thing coming from the mouth of the fallen angel in front of them. In response to her request, Asia stuck her head out from behind Kazuki and shook her head.

"…No. I don't want to return to that Church. I don't want to return to the people who kill other people. …Also, you people did things to me…."

Asia said in a disgusted tone for the first time since Kazuki met her, which caused his anger towards the group to flare up even more.

"Oi. What did you bastards do to Asia-san?!"

Kazuki roared as he glared toward the woman who laughed at his comment.

"Ara, what an attitude," Kalawarner said with a faux smile. "Come on, Asia your sacred gear is essential for all of our plans to come into fruition. So, please come back with me. Since I've mentioned that, our most favored leader also decided to add little Kazuki-kun onto that little scheme. To that end, I'll just take Kazuki-kun as well."

For those last words, Kalawarner put more venom in her words as a light spear appeared in the palm of her hand causing the air to vibrate. That alone caused both to become more alert to what was about the occur next, but an unexpected intervention caught their attention.

"Oi, hold up! Sacred Gear!"

That familiar voice had come from Issei who summoned his sacred gear as he stood next to Kazuki and Asia the both (and even Kalawarner) stared at him in shock. As soon as his sacred gear was activated there was a slight pulse that occurred within Kazuki, which he couldn't yet comprehend.

"Ara, well this is a surprise. Hello, Ise-kun~"

Kalawarner said in her "Mizuki" persona, which caused Issei to stiffen in shock.

"Don't worry, Kazuki I've got your back this time!"

Despite saying that in a strong voice, Kazuki went toward him in an annoyance manner as he stared at him.

"Ah, Nii-san. Did you follow us around all day?!"

After hearing that accusation from his younger brother, Issei turned his attention toward Kazuki in a far angered manner as he arrived in front of him.

"What was that?!"

"What other explanation could there be? How else would you have come here as soon as she arrived here?"

"For your information. I kept going around town looking for something to do and I kept running into some guy on a date with a blonde," Issei replied as he stepped in range of Kazuki to where their heads were inches from being in close to making contact. "No matter where I went, I kept running into the same people. Inside that restaurant, that gaming center, movie theater, and even when I was going to go to the Occult Research Club."

"What kind of lie is that?! There's such a thing as coincidences, but that's just ridiculous."

"You callin' me a liar you little brat?!"

"You calling me a brat?! I'm more of a grown-up compared to you!"

Both Issei and Kazuki were no bashing their foreheads again one another as they continued to make attempts to move back the other. Kalawarner stared at both of them with a sideways glance as she sighed almost with a far annoyed tone if anything.

"Uh, can we get this over…?!"

""Stay out of this!""

Both Issei and Kazuki forgetting the danger that the fallen angel posed glared toward her with an annoyed glare as she intervened in their 'brotherly scuffle', which caused the fallen angel to back down.

"A low-class devil and human have the nerve to talk back to me like that," Kalawarner said in an annoyed tone as a laugh escape from her mouth. "Ara, if you showed this kind of initiative during our date, then I might have been a little generous and given you something special, Ise-kun."

"Trust me, Nii-san could've done a lot better."

Kazuki said as he stepped from Issei and glared in the direction of Kalawarner boosted his physical abilities with magic, the latter started to glare toward him.

"Ara, what an unruly little brother."

"Tell me about it," Issei replied causing Kazuki to glare toward him in annoyance. "But, I don't plan on letting you hurt my little brother and his girlfriend."

"A-Asia-san isn't my girlfriend!"

Kazuki added with his cheeks turning a little red, while Asia's face was flushed after hearing that Issei believed her to be his brother's girlfriend.

"I heard from our leader, that the higher-ups believed that your sacred gear was dangerous, but I guess that they can make mistakes once in a while. Your sacred gear is a common one named the Twice Critical, which doubles the possessor's power for a limited time. Though when that doubled power comes from a low-class devil, then it wouldn't even pose a threat to a mouse."

Issei stared at his "Twice Critical" with a curious look on his face, thinking that's what it was, but Kazuki still wasn't sure as there was an odd feeling that Albion was giving him at the moment. There were multiple a lot of choices that Issei could do right now such as running away with both Kazuki and Asia, but he wanted to at least get a single hit on Kalawarner without getting in one good hit even if his sacred gear as a common one.

"Sacred Gear! Activate! You can double my power, right!? Then activate!"

[Boost!]

There was a sound that came from his sacred gear and Issei could feel power being raised, but that soon proved to be insufficient as Kalawarner laughed and threw a light spear at him. Kazuki was able to just follow the path of the light spear just a bit and noticed the point where it was heading.

"Nii-san jump to the right!"

Following the directions of his brother who pulled Asia in the opposite direction, Issei jumped to the right before it could pierce him causing a lethal wound. But, the light spear did end up scraping his side causing him to winch in pain and a burning sensation due to light being poisonous for devils.

"Ara, that was a close call. Even if your power is doubled, you can't evade this small light spear and you would've received a lethal wound if it wasn't for your little brother," Kalawarner laughed. "Even if your power if one were to be doubled it would just be a two. And that won't even be close to narrowing the wide distance between us. Can you even able to comprehend that now, Ise-kun? If you can't survive without your little brother watching your back then what's the point. I guess you are nothing but a low-class devil."

Those harsh words from Kalawarner hit him in different places, which caused him to grit his teeth out of nothing, but the frustration that continued to build up within his chest. Soon enough a fireball was launched in the direction of Kalawarner who used her black wings to avoid it by flying into the air.

"Oh."

Kalawarner said in interest as she noticed Kazuki pointing his hand toward her as a magic circle vanished from in front of his hand.

"Don't talk about Nii-san like that," Kazuki said in a low tone that displayed just anger after hearing the words that came from the fallen angel woman. "He might be a low-class devil now, but don't underestimate him. He works a lot harder than anyone when he put his mind to something. And I know he'll become far stronger and better when compared to a tramp like you!"

His strong heartfelt words caused his older brother to feel better, Kalawarner, on the other hand, started to twitch her eyebrow in an annoyed manner.

"D-D-Did you just call me a tramp?"

"Uh, Kazuki-san, what's a tramp?"

Kazuki realized that he had just said a word that Asia wasn't familiar with, which caused her to tilt her head while in a state of confusion about it.

"It's a word that you don't need to know."

At his response, Asia nodded her head in agreement, then Kazuki motioned toward Issei who was still wounded, which caused her to get the message and started to heal the scratch.

'So what we do now?'

Issei whispered low enough for just both of them to here.

'I've already got most everything settled behind the scenes. I just need you to do one thing.'

'Huh? What's that?'

Kazuki started to explain his plan to Issei and Asia who was already well informed about it beforehand, then his older brother nodded his head in agreement.

'Alright, I got it. Don't get yourself killed.'

'Same here.'

"*Sigh* Are you two done talking," Kalawarner sighed and formed another light spear larger than the last. "Asia-chan and Kazuki. If you don't want Ise-kun to be killed, come with me. Your sacred gears are essential for our plans. In all regards, Twilight Healing in itself is a rare sacred gear unlike the Twice Critical. Divine Dividing is, even more, a rare sacred gear a one of a kind existence. If you don't come with me, I will have to kill that Devil."

"Fine," Kazuki replied as he grabbed a hold of Asia making sure that she was close enough to him, which caused the fallen angel to smile victoriously. "But, if you want our sacred gear, then you'll have to catch up!"

At a moment's notice, Kazuki carried Asia in his hand and materialized his Divine Dividing at the same time, then he started to fly into the skies. Their departure caused Kalawarner a great annoyance as she glared toward them as Kazuki floated in the skies holding Asia.

"If you don't get back here, I'll kill your brother!"

"If you don't chase after us, you'll never catch us!"

Kazuki shouted back at her causing the blue-haired fallen angel to grip her teeth pointing the light spear towards Issei but stopped after noticing that Kazuki had flown off at high-speed. After noticing that he was already close to leaving the area, which caused her to get out of her fallen angel wings in an attempt to chase after them.

"Alright, don't get yourself killed until I come back."

Issei nodded his head and started running in the direction of Kuoh Academy, the Occult Research Club.

Meanwhile, Kazuki arrived inside of the same area in the forest where he had been training and started to land in that location after flying away from his brother. Once he landed on the ground, he glanced toward Asia who was still in his arms and looked almost dazed.

"I'm sorry if I went too fast."

"Ah, I'm fine. I was just mesmerized…your white wings look so beautiful."

Asia said with a genuine smile causing his heart to once again skip a beat as he caused Divine Dividing to vanish again. After letting out a slight breath, he placed her on the ground letting Asia stand for herself, then she started taking off the hat, glasses, and undoing her bun twist so that her hair flowed like normal. Taking off all the excess items, Kazuki stored them inside the same space that he used for the bokken.

"What do we do now, Kazuki-san?"

"Well, I guess that we just have to wait for Raynare-san and Nii-san to do their respective business, then we…."

As Kazuki was speaking, he started to feel a little light-headed as he started to stagger on his feet, which caused a great deal of worry for the blonde-haired girl with him.

"Are you alright, Kazuki-san?"

"Yea, I guess that I just need to lay down for a while," Kazuki said in a lighthearted manner so he didn't cause no concern for Asia. "I guess that despite all that training since middle school, I guess that my body still isn't strong enough to use Divine Dividing effectively. I need to think of something because this is getting tedious."

As Kazuki seemed to be struggling to stand on his feet, Asia nodded to herself and sat on the ground and caught his attention.

"Kazuki-san you lay your head down right here. I've seen this once on television before."

"H-Huh, but that's…."

Kazuki was embarrassed for a moment, knowing that it was a lap pillow, which Asia seem not to know about, but she even seemed flushed about it. Before he could question her about it, Kazuki noticed the strong look that she was giving him, which caused him to realize that Asia wasn't backing down. There was also the fact that he was getting a little too exhausted to argue and just decided to accept her kindness.

After approaching Asia, he laid on the ground, placing his head on the soft lap of the blonde-haired girl who could feel the weight of his head on her lap.

"You can rest for a couple of minutes, Kazuki-san," Asia said with a genuine smile. "I can't do much beside healing, but I can put up a barrier around us."

"Alright, then I'll just sleep for a couple of minutes."

Kazuki agreed as he closed his eyes so that he could fall asleep, caused Asia to smile once she noticed he was choosing to rely on her for once. Before she could place up the barrier, Asia noticed a black cat heading toward them, which caused the blonde to gush after noticing the feline.

"Ah, what an adorable kitten."

Asia stated with stars in her eyes as the black cat started to nuzzle toward Kazuki in a comforting fashion.

"Aw, do you want to comfort Kazuki-san?"

As if responding to Asia, the cat nodded her head, causing Asia to once again gush as she made a barrier, which covered all three of them. Unbeknownst to Asia, there seemed to be a change in space around them that went alongside the barrier that covered them. The black cat also jumped onto Kazuki's chest as a faint bluish light was focused on the paws of the black cat.

A/N: And there goes chapter six of The Twin Dragons, things proceeded with Asia and Kazuki going on a date with the reasons being somewhat more understandable. But, hey he did it so that Asia could have a great time and forget about her troubles with their being moments between them with Issei being in the same place as them each time. Kalawarner made the mistake of attempting to intervene in the conflict of brothers. Next will be the official end of the first volume and things will begin to pick up.
