21. School Battleground Part 2

Welcome to the next chapter of The Twin Dragons, but before starting. Let us answer some reviews:

altajir95: Yep, Raynare returned to the battlefield, and even started her usual banter with Rias, as well as showing the results of her training. Mariah reveals her holy sword too, which is one of the abilities that it has. Kazuki and Ophis also reunited with one another, and Asia finds him soon after, with the two going off into the battlefield too.

School Battleground Part 2

It has been a couple of minutes since Issei started charging up his Boosted Gear as Kokabiel waited there right in front of him, and Rias, who was holding onto his hand. The Pawn and King stared at the Cadre, who was their opponent without turning their attention from him. As intended, Kokabiel wasn't showing the slightest sign of him interfering, showing a sadistic face driven by nothing, but battle.

Raynare, and the others who were watching the entire thing, weren't able to do a single thing since this was the best option to deal damage to Kokabiel.

"As soon as Rias attacks Kokabiel with her charged attack, we'll all join in on the assault too."

Akeno whispered without showing the slightest sign of moving or planning a counter-attack, however, that could too be from simply Kokabiel not caring about them. And from that simple command from the Queen, the others, even Mariah and Xenovia were preparing themselves.

At around the same time, Issei reached the limit of how much power that he could build up power using Boosted Gear. It wasn't the same as it was for the Cerberus he fought, where it informed him that it was charged enough to defeat it. Instead, he reached the limit, but even that might not be enough for him to defeat Kokabiel.

"…it's here."

Issei said as he stood behind Rias who tightened her grip on his hand showing that she too was nervous, but she was still courageous enough to fight against this threat. Those behind them could sense the deep feelings, which the two of them shared between them.

"Ise, let's do this."

"Right, Buchou! Boosted Gear!"

[Transfer!]

At that moment, he transferred the power to Rias, which resulted in a powerful deep red aura covering her entire body, causing the people around them to shiver from the pressure. Issei, who wasn't adept at sensing things of a similar nature was surprised about the presence from her aura.

"I wasn't expecting it to be this powerful!"

Issei voiced his astonishment after Rias released his hand, then started gathering her Power of Destruction in the middle of her hand. It was covered in the same deep red aura and released a more dangerous sensation as if it could erase anything it touched as even the ground under her started crumbling apart.

"Geez, this makes me want to almost stop teasing her!"

Raynare pointed out as she felt the power on her skin, which had goosebumps running across it.

"This is the power of the one called the Crimson-Haired Ruin Princess!"

Akeno finished after noticing Rias was too finished charging up her attack, while Kokabiel laughed manically.

"Fuhahahaha! Good, this flow of demonic power that I'm sensing right has now reached the level of an Ultimate-Class Devil. If you were to go up a little bit more, then you would achieve Satan-Class power," Kokabiel said as it felt as if he was taking back some of what he previously said about them. "Hahahaha, it looks as if your talents is equal to your older brother!"

"Blow awaaaaaaaaay!"

Rias released her Power of Destruction at Kokabiel who prepared his hand looking as psychopathic as Freed. It didn't surprise them as Kokabiel stopped the enormous attack using both his hands, causing shockwaves, which spread across the battlefield. Her attack annihilated the ground around them and even shook the barrier around their school, but it was being held together by the Sitri Group.

"Interesting! Interesting indeed, Sirzechs' sister!"

Kokabiel smirked widely as he noticed even his hands started being damaged, and his cloak started being torn to pieces as Rias' attack continued. His expression didn't last one as even he started struggling to keep holding it back using the same momentum, then began gathering light in his hand.

""Nuuuuuuuuuun!""

Rias began struggling to push the attack forward, focusing on maintaining its shape; Kokabiel, on the other hand, focused on breaking it apart using his light. Issei started looking and released that Rias' attack started losing its shape as the light continued increasing in an attempt to negate it.

As planned the others started moving in to attack too, the first moving were Akeno and Raynare using both their respective wings. Akeno gathered lightning in her hands, and Raynare gathered light in her hands forming a light spear that held greater power than previously.

"Lightning!"

"Go spear!"

Both Akeno and Raynare released their attacks at Kokabiel from behind, which didn't go unnoticed by him as his wings moving around breaking apart their attacks. He looked annoyed after noticing that Akeno and Raynare of all people attempted to attack him.

"You two dare stand in my way?! You, a low-class fallen angel who Azazel picked up. And you, the one who had inherited her powers from Baraqiel?!"

"…Do not put me in the same group as him!"

At that comment, Akeno's expression flared up into anger as lightning seemed to gather around her entire body, which caused even Raynare to move from the vicinity.

"Seriously, do you people hate me that much?!"

Raynare commented as she was almost struck by the excess lightning Akeno was releasing, which appeared to simply graze her. But, unlike the others, she wasn't confused about that revelation as she recovered in the air as Rias continued pushing her attack.

Fueled from anger, Akeno released her lightning attack all on Kokabiel, who continued blocking it as much as he could using his wings. Kiba, Mariah, and Xenovia were stunned for a moment before moving forward wielding their respective weapons. Their confusion came from that name, Baraqiel, who like Kokabiel were all among the Cadre leading Grigori. Moreover, he was a fallen angel previously known as the "Lightning of God", who controls Holy Lightning; and that was Akeno's father.

However, those questions were placed at the back of their minds since losing focus in this situation would be the definition of life-threatening. Though, it was already too late as Kokabiel managed to break apart Rias' attack as a maniacal laugh escaped from his mouth.

"I don't care much about half-breeds, but for you to have become a devil," hearing that comment caused Akeno's face to become disheartened as he continued. "Hahahaha, Rias Gremory, it seems as if you've gathered quite the number of odd servants like your brother! The Sekiryuutei! The Holy Sword Project leftover who created a Holy-Demonic Sword! And the daughter of Baraqiel!"

Hearing that comment caused more attention on Akeno, who looked aside as if showing that she was ashamed to have it revealed. It was clear that it was a secret she didn't want anyone from the group to know, however, the other one who wasn't surprised was Rias who clenched her fist.

"I won't forgive you for insulting my brother…our Maou," Rias stated before covering herself in a more aggressive red aura as she glared at Kokabiel. "Even more than that, insulting my precious servants is a punishment that will require your life!"

"Kahahahaha," Kokabiel accepted the challenge as he covered himself in a dangerous aura and laughing. "Then come and attempt to annihilate me, Sirzechs' sister! The Master of the Welsh Dragon, the Crimson-Haired Ruin Princess! I have been an arch-nemesis of the Underworld since ancient before either of you were even conceived. If you don't see this as a chance, then your reputation will be looked down upon!"

"We will attack at the same time."

Xenovia uttered to her fellow swordsmen.

At that challenge, Kiba, Xenovia, and Mariah all moved in for an assault against him, she was the first person to attack. Durandal in hand, covered in its aura, she slashed at Kokabiel with the utmost confidence in herself. As a smirk appeared on his face, Kokabiel blocked it using the light sword he produced.

"Kuh!"

Xenovia was unable to push Durandal forward much noticing the concentration of light power placed inside of the light sword in his hand.

"Hmph! Durandal huh! Unlike the Excalibur that was already broken once, that aura is the real thing! Buuuuut," at that moment, Kokabiel emitted a pressure from his hands that pushed Xenovia back a bit breaking her stance. It was then she noticed him appearing before she could regain her footing, and was prepared to kick Xenovia in the gut. "It depends on the wielder. Girl! You still can't control Durandal! The previous wielder was someone who had unrivaled strength!"

Before Kokabiel's attack could make contact, Xenovia was pushed backward because of the sudden pressure of the wind. She looked to see that Mariah released the wind using Almace, which was something that Kokabiel sensed too as he clicked his tongue.

"Thanks, Mariah."

Xenovia thanked her as she regained her footing, then she, Kiba, and Mariah all moved in wielding their swords this time prepared for an all-out assault. He looked at the assault still wearing the same battle starved expression on his face.

"Ho! An assault from two legendary holy swords, and the holy-demonic sword! Good, perfect," Kokabiel created a second light sword as strong as the one from before. "Come on, and defeat me, if you can!"

Kiba and Xenovia were the first to move forward as they started getting into a clash against Kokabiel who dual-wielded light swords. Despite them wielding powerful weapons, neither of them was able to make a single dent in the light swords. Both of them attacked using their individual honed skills and traits, which were his speed and her strength. However, Kokabiel was still handling both of their individual assaults without losing his confidence, if not cocky smirk.

"…!"

"…!"

Kiba and Xenovia looked annoyed at the two of them were being happened, and not even taken as even being a serious threat to him. It was then that Mariah pulled out Excalibur Blessing from its sheath, then held it using both hands as she kneeled in a praying position.

"…."

Mariah started uttering a prayer as Blessing started emitting a brilliant golden light, which soon wrapped around her entire body. It wasn't a phenomenon that went unnoticed to the people around them, despite it being a sacred chant, the devils didn't receive a headache this time, but could still feel the shivers. Although, a change did occur in Xenovia as an aura covered her entire body, and she felt as if she was being strengthened.

Taking the chance, Xenovia held onto Durandal using both hands, then started releasing more of its aura, while it was still colliding against the light sword. Kokabiel was stunned as cracks appeared along with it before breaking into several pieces, causing him to lose a light sword. Seeing his lost weapon, Kokabiel clicked his tongue as he'd glanced in her direction.

"Tch, I can't believe you mastered it to the point where you can strengthen your comrade without weakening the surrounding devils."

"It'd be a shame if I ended up weakening them in this situation!"

Mariah declared as she started moving forward wielding Almace instead.

She propelled herself forward using wind from Almace, then slashed downward alongside Xenovia. Both of them aimed their attacks at Kokabiel's side, while he was preoccupied fighting Kiba who was attempting to distract the Cadre. And from the air, Koneko, who used her devil wings to get above him propelled herself downwards toward him. All three women were moving in to attack him using their individual attacks.

"Naive!"

Kokabiel declared as he released a sudden bright light from the broken light sword in his other hand, causing all four of them to momentarily lose their vision. Kiba could help to stop to rub his eyes from that sudden blinding, but he was still able to hear everyone happening around him. First, Kokabiel hardened his fallen angel wings as all ten gave off the impression of the blade as they attacked Koneko who was still above him.

"…."

Parts of Koneko's school uniform were torn in several areas as blood leaked from them and her mouth as she had started plummeting toward the ground.

"Koneko-chan!"

Issei called out as he started running toward her using the Queen's Knight trait, then caught her before crashing into the ground. He could see the wounds weren't so serious due to her being a Rook, but that didn't mean that it would be easy for her to continue fighting normally.

Second, Kokabiel managed to knee Xenovia in the stomach, which was something that he previously missed as blood escaped from her mouth.

"Gaah!"

Xenovia was sent backward holding onto her stomach.

And finally, Kokabiel appeared in front of Mariah who gets a vague sense of his presence at the last second as a wind wall was formed as a defense using Almace. However, the Cadre smirked and but more strengthen into the kick, which he now covered in light. So, he managed to smash through the wind barrier without much effort as it sailed toward Mariah, who was still using Almace as a shield.

"Kyaa!"

Mariah screamed as she still received damage from that assault, then crashed into the ground with much more of an impact than Xenovia. She ended landed on the ground struggling to stand back up as blood started streaming down from her head. Mariah was almost unable to regain her senses due to the shock caused by the powerful kick, as her vision looked almost dazed.

"Th-That last hit…rocked my head a bit."

Mariah said as she was still struggling to stand back up.

"Koneko-chan! Mariah!"

Kiba regained his senses after seeing his friend and sister were wounded, causing him to grip his teeth before he rushed at Kokabiel. A smirk formed on the Cadre's face as he blocked it using his light sword as a crack began to form on Kiba's holy-demonic sword. He didn't need to wonder what the cause was since he knew the strength and hardness of his swords depended on his mental state.

"Kokabiel, this isn't over yet!"

Kiba declared using a strong voice as he continued pressing forward against the Cadre and repaired the cracks, which formed on his sword.

"If so, then bring it on!"

Kokabiel accepted Kiba's challenge as he activated his sacred gear.

"Sword Birth!"

From around Kokabiel, several holy-demonic swords were created around him and appeared to be prepared to assault him from all sides. The fallen angel didn't look impressed as he used all ten of his wings to break apart all the created swords without moving from his position. Seeing this didn't deter Kiba as he made a sword in his free hand, then slashed at Kokabiel.

"I don't think so."

Kokabiel caught that holy-demonic sword in-between his fingers as he smirked arrogantly at Kiba who glared at him without showing his intentions. It was then that Kiba thought about something from some time ago, then later opened his mouth. As Kokabiel wondered what he was going to do, the Cadre received his answer as something materialized in his mouth. What appeared in-between his teeth was a third holy-demonic sword, which he moved using his teeth to slash Kokabiel across his face.

"Argh!"

Kokabiel screamed as he moved backward as a wound opened across his face, causing blood to leak out.

"Well, it looks like I owe Kazuki-kun for that one."

Kiba uttered recalling a conversation that he had with Kazuki when they met in their first year.

'Hey, Yuuto-kun, look at this. Zoro-san uses this cool Santoryu sword style, where he holds the third sword in his mouth, isn't that cool.'

Kiba almost laughed after reading that part from One Piece with Kazuki, who was enjoying each moment despite it being the second time he read that specific volume.

He returned from that memory as Raynare appeared above Kokabiel holding a massive light spear in her hands, and tried getting a sneak attack on him. Raynare tried her best to make her presence as faint as possible, but the Cadre regained his senses as growled from annoyance. He instantly created a light spear stronger than hers and broke it apart in a second.

"Dammit!"

Raynare cursed as she tried moving from Kokabiel using her wings, but her ankle was grabbed onto by the fallen angel. She was helpless as he slammed her on the ground causing it to crack as she groaned from the pain, but still tried getting back up.

"Ahhhh!"

Raynare screamed as she felt Kokabiel's foot on the back, then pressed downwards forcing her even deeper into it as it cracked more. He stared downwards as Raynare, paying particular interest in the second pair of black wings

"To think that some newbie fallen angel managed to increase the number of their wings."

Kokabiel snide as he pressed his foot deeper into Raynare's back as she groaned.

"…I…worked…hard."

Raynare managed to get out as she tried pushing Kokabiel's foot off her back as she seemed to have fighting more defiantly.

"That alone is harder to hear. I never understood the reason that Azazel took interest in a weakling like you, but I found it amusing as he used you as a courier. I don't accept a weakling such as yourself apart of Grigori."

Kokabiel stated as he forced Raynare back to the ground as she tried forcing herself back up.

"…I…never…recognized you…as one of my…bosses."

Raynare replied in a sign of defiance as she was forced back to the ground causing her to let out a pained cough as Kokabiel smirked.

"It looks like we agree with each other on something. Because I never recognized you as a true fallen angel!"

Kokabiel created a light spear in his hand as he seemed prepared to stab it right into Raynare's back.

"No, you don't!"

Rias declared as she formed her Power of Destruction in her hands, and Akeno created lightning in her hands.

"Heh, I didn't think you cared, Crimson-Haired Virgin Princess."

Raynare almost joked as she still tried getting herself freed from Kokabiel.

"Now isn't the time for that!"

Rias was mad and worried about Raynare as she and Akeno fired off blasts towards Kokabiel, who simply avoided it without removing himself from Raynare.

"I might die. So, I might as well get in one good jab at you before I go out. It's kinda a shame, I didn't get to see Kazuki-kun one more time."

Even though she might die, Raynare wanted to get in one more wisecrack directed toward Rias, who was genuinely worried about her fate. As Kokabiel was preparing to bring the light spear downwards, everyone there was moving to intercept it. Suddenly, he looked and noticed there was a stream of light heading in their location at high-speeds and caused him to stop.

"Huh, what hell is…?"

Kokabiel gained his answer as he noticed the trail of light arrived in front of him in a matter of seconds, revealing an individual wrapped in a white aura. And before long, the Cadre was kicked across the face by the individual as he was forced backward because of the build-up speed and momentum. After doing that, the individual fired off a wide arrange of close-range magical attacks that continued pushing him backward.

Everyone looked surprised about what happened but looked to see that it was Kazuki who had flown in using Divine Dividing.

"That is one among the many hits that I'm owed."

Kazuki commented as he landed on the ground holding Asia in his arms.

[Kazuki/Kazuki-kun/Kazuki-senpai!]

Most of the people around called out his name after noticing his arrival on the battlefield.

He later placed Asia on the ground so that she would heal the injured people, which included Koneko and Mariah who had been dealt the most damage thus far.

"Well, you certainly know how to keep a girl waiting."

Raynare joked as she was still struggling to get herself up, then looked to see Kazuki holding out his hand to help her to her feet. Smiling to herself, she took his hand and stood back to her feet, allowing a relieved sigh to leave her mouth. As Raynare stood up, noises could be heard originating from her back as she moved around, as a result of Kokabiel stepping on her.

"Well, I apologize for keeping you, and everyone else waiting," Kazuki stated before noticing the second pair of wings. "I see that you've been working hard since you've been gone for a couple of days."

"W-Well, you know, I just wanted to prove how awesome I am."

Raynare said almost bashfully as she started looking in another direction almost wanting to appear more prideful, and confident than how she appears.

"You don't need to prove that since I already know," Kazuki said placing a head on top of her head, resulting in a deep red blush to appear on her cheeks from the comment and contact. "Take a breather, and get your injuries healed by Asia-chan."

"R-Right."

Raynare said as she started heading off in the direction where Asia was healing Mariah and Koneko at almost a much quicker pace than normal. To Kazuki, he almost couldn't help smiling at the reaction since she looked more and more like a normal girl as she remained here.

Smack!

"Ouch, what the…?"

"You had more worried for a moment, you reckless jerk!"

Kazuki turned to see Issei standing behind him after smacking his back as hard as possible, almost causing him to stumble forward.

"I don't want to hear that from you of all people! You pretty much patent on being a reckless jerk!"

Kazuki countered back as he and his brother stood beside one another, both their sacred gears, their Longinus out and prepared. Despite sounding like their usual argument, the people around them could sense the brotherly bond that they two shared. And it was something like that, which caused the others to prepare themselves for another bout against Kokabiel despite being almost exhausted.

Rias, Akeno, Kiba, Xenovia; and Koneko, Mariah, and Raynare, who were all being healed by Asia had prepared themselves to continue fighting.

"Albion, what do you think our chances are?"

Kazuki asked in a mumble.

[Not good considering that among the group, you're at your best condition due to Ophis' intervention. However, I did store the power that you halved from Kokabiel inside of Divine Dividing. So, depending on how you use it and if you can bring down his strength once again, then your chances can increase. You and Divine Dividing are both evolving as time passes, so this is one of the many things you'll be able to achieve.]

"That's good to hear."

Kazuki replied noticing the power still stored inside of the wings.

It wasn't long until Kokabiel started standing back up from that impact, as a groan escaped from his mouth, and a hand was placed on his cheek.

"Tch, and here I thought that I eliminated the Hakuryuukou for good. But, here you are, and seemingly almost the same as before we fought."

"I received a little help in both regards," Kazuki replied showing no fear to the fallen angel as he stood in front of him. "I came here so that I could pay you back for what you did to Iri-chan."

Kazuki was showing a more hostile look toward Kokabiel after recalling what he had done to Irina at his base and what he threatened to do to her. Irina, who has been one of the most important people in his life since childhood, and someone he deeply loved and cared about.

In response to those words, Kokabiel instead started laughing at him causing the anger that had been festering in him to continuing amassing like a wildfire preparing to be unleashed.

"Hahahaha, it's surprising hearing something too insignificant coming from the Hakuryuukou, who is known as one of the most prideful," Kokabiel said before noticing all of them were prepared to face him despite their fears. "But, seeing that all of you are still capable of fighting despite losing your masters. Even after losing them, you devils, and followers of God can still fight, huh?!"

"What're you babbling about this time?"

Kazuki asked wondering what he meant about that, causing the Cadre to look more amused as soon as he had heard that question.

"Fuhahahaha, fuhahahahahahahahahaha! That's right! I completely forgot about that! The truth wasn't revealed to you lower-level peons! Not that, we fallen angels care since we were outcasts for going against him. So, we'd lost all reasons to care at all! But, I'll tell you all," Kokabiel said as he turned towards them all and pointed toward them. "During the Great War between the Three Factions, not just the Four Maou, but God also died during that battle as well."

Hearing those words, caused them all to look entirely stunned about the sudden revelation, even those from the Sitri Group listening in were stunned. There was silent almost ominous pause, which brought true silence even on the battlefield. Known among the group looked as shocked as Kazuki, Xenovia, Mariah, and Asia, who were all fervent believers.

"W-What?"

Kazuki asked.

"It's normal for none of you guys to know about any of that. Who from the Three Factions can come out and just announce that God has died? Humans are an incomplete and almost useless bunch! Without God, they cannot control their hearts and obey the laws, you know? Even us, fallen angels, and devils couldn't tell the bunch below us. You wouldn't know where the information about God will be leaked. Even among the Three Factions, solely the people from the upper echelon and certain others know about it. Though, it appeared that Balba near the end noticed it."

Hearing Kokabiel's explanation, none of them were able to comprehend or believe the words that left his mouth at all. Not a single person was able to believe such words, but the Cadre continued not caring about the level of chaos running through their heads.

"After the Great War, what was left were the angels who lost their Gods, the devils who lost their Maou and many high-class devils, and we from Grigori who lost portions of our fallen angels. So, it wasn't simple exhaustion, we were so low that we relied on humans to continue. More so, the angels and fallen angels started mating with humans to increase our numbers. We fallen angels can increase our numbers if more angels fall, but pure angels can't increase their numbers. Even for the Underworld, a pure-blood devil is rare, right?"

As if rubbing more dirt in their opened wounds, the group started losing more and more of their resolve. Xenovia and Mariah even started losing the strength to hold their holy swords, which seemed to fall to the ground.

"…Lies…it's all lies…."

Xenovia, who had been the most confident and prepared was unable to continue fighting as she fell to her knees.

"…please…tell me…that isn't true…Gabriel-sama…."

Mariah looked towards the ground as she was attempting to hold onto Almace, but tears started streaming down her cheeks. She didn't want to believe that it was true and even tried calling out to Gabriel, who wasn't there. Kiba was able to understand their feelings since he was in the same position as them before, all avid believers who wanted to serve God.

"…do you think he's telling the truth…Albion?"

Kazuki asked as he remained standing as he clenched his fist.

[…it's unlikely, he'd lie in this situation.]

Albion replied, feeling a sudden disturbance inside of Kazuki's spirit as soon as he heard the news of God's death. It wasn't as if it showed signs he was giving up, but the Vanishing Dragon allowed it to proceed.

"The truth is that another Great War wouldn't happen unless you triggered it on purpose. It means that the Three Factions went through hell in the past war, and decided another one wouldn't be meaningless. Despite our worse enemies, God, and the Four Maou being dead that bastard Azazel declared there wouldn't be a second war after losing his men in the war," Kokabiel started showing more aggression as he recalled those words as the aura he emitted increased. "It's hard to bear! It's truly hard to bear! To lower your gun once you already shot it! Don't fuck around with me! If we continued from there, we could have won! Even so, he…that bastard instead focusing on other things. Is there any kind of value in fallen angels who can only live by inviting humans who own Sacred Gears!?"

The most shocked among them was Asia, despite being abandoned by the Church, it didn't change the fact that she maintained her beliefs. Her entire body was shaking from the shock as she was barely capable of keeping herself from falling to the ground.

"…G-God doesn't exist? God…is dead," Asia was barely able to get out those words as she took a step forward holding onto the cross around her neck. "Then the love we were given by him…."

"That's right, you foolish girl," Kokabiel taunted Asia causing Kazuki to ball up his hands into fists as he clenched them. "It's normal there wouldn't be love or divine protection from God who had already been dead before either of your grandparents' great-grandparents were even born. I guess Michael is doing well enough since taking the position of watching over the angels and humans. If the 'System' God created is still operating, then things like the prayers, blessings, and exorcism would still be functional. But, it still can't be compared to when God was still alive, and even the numbers of believers have decreased a bit. All of that is the reason that someone like a Holy-Demonic Sword would be created if the balance between holy and demonic powers is broken. If the ones who'd ruled over those powers disappeared, then lots of unique phenomenons would occur."

That seemed to be the breaking point for Asia as her eyes seemed to have lost their light as she almost fell to the ground. Before she did, Kazuki appeared beside her without making a single sound as he noticed the tears going down her cheeks.

"…Kazuki-san? G-God is…."

Asia called out in tears as she felt the comforting hand of Kazuki being felt on top of her head, then looked up to see that he was heading towards Kokabiel. He was covered in a white aura, giving off a stronger presence as he continued walking towards him.

"From here on out, I will start a war! I will take your heads as a gift! Even if it's only me, I will continue from where we left off! I'm going to show Sirzechs and Michael that we, the fallen angels, are…!"

"Shut up!"

Kazuki appeared right in front of Kokabiel and punched him in the face sending him stumbling backward due to the power behind that aura-covered punch. Because of that, Kokabiel turned his attention towards Kazuki, where he noticed that Divine Dividing was releasing a bright light incomparable to anything that it has released thus far.

"You fucking lowly human brat," Kokabiel roared noticing that traces of blood could be seen leaving the corner of his mouth. "You dare hit…."

Kokabiel looked to see that Kazuki wasn't there anymore but suddenly felt an impact from behind at the back of his neck.

"Argh!"

Kokabiel stumbled forwards holding the back of his neck as he turned around to face Kazuki with his eyes turning almost bloodshot from anger. No one among the group could believe what was happening right in front of them, Kazuki was fighting and moving at speed almost none of them could reach. Kazuki, who had always maintained calm and composed, was raging right in front of them.

"You did all this for a war," Kazuki gritted his teeth and fist as he sends a glare toward Kokabiel. "Don't screw with me! Making my hometown into a battlefield, and endangering my family and friends! Killing people for your selfish and absurd desires! You hurt the girl that I love! And almost broke the heart of another girl I love and promised to protect! All of these crimes are the things that are going to cost you your life tonight!"

"Kahahahaha, I'd like to see how someone who barely managed to fight against me managed to defeat me," the Cadre wore a maddened expression. "After I kill you and your brother, I'll present both your dead bodies to both your parents. Then I'll find that girlfriend of yours to reveal the truth about God and torment her until she dies! I'll be sure to ensure her screams could be heard even in…."

"I told you, I'm going to ensure your body and soul is extinguished without a single trace," Kazuki declared as his light wings started giving off a series of light from them as time passed. "Even if God is dead, I'll continue living to make full use of the sacred gear he left behind. I'll continue protecting the people I care about, and stop people like you! I am the Hakuryuukou, and I'll bring about the end of your idiotic supremacist desires!"

After making that declaration, there was a change inside of Kazuki, which was something that released a mass of aura from his entire body. Divine Dividing's light wings unleashed a brilliant almost blinding light that spread out, covering him.

"No, is this…?!"

Kokabiel asked protecting his eyes from the light using his arms.

"What is this?! What happened to Kazuki?!"

Issei asked as he felt his entire body almost being overcome by shivers from the presence released from Kazuki.

[Well, it looks like your brother has pulled up ahead of you. He is a rare prodigy to be able to achieve this despite using Divine Dividing unlocked for about the same amount of time as you with Boosted Gear. This is the state the Knight of Rias Gremory achieved.]

"A Balance Breaker?! That jerk pulled ahead of me this time?"

Issei said annoyed, but at the same time feeling almost like your typical proud older brother.

[What you're about to witness firsthand is the awakening of a Longinus' Balance Breaker. But, as the Sekiryuutei don't let yourself remain behind for long.]

Ddraig replied as Issei nodded his head as he hands the others witnessed a pillar of light that pierced through the barrier that Sona and the others created. All of them were stunned about the development since neither of them could contain that release of power. A massive amount of aura was released with Kazuki at the center as all the others kept themselves from being blown away.

[Vanishing Dragon Balance Breaker!]

Divine Dividing released that new announcement across the silent sky.

Floating inside of the pillar of light was a single silhouette belonging to a person wrapped up in armor as glowing yellow eyes peered down at Kokabiel, startling him a little bit. It soon vanished as light particles shattering across the air leaving Kazuki flying in the air using his light wings, but not in a regular state. Similar to the Boosted Gear Scale Mail, but at the same time different.

He was donned in a brilliant white dragon armor with blue jewels across it, which gave off almost a divine light in the darkness of the night. His light wings were spread outwards as Kazuki stared down at the cause of the varied tragedies that transpired.

"Balance Breaker, Divine Dividing Scale Mail!"

Kazuki declared as a white aura was released from his entire body releasing a great pressure, which seemed to shake the air around them.

"I can't believe that Kazuki-kun managed to achieve it."

Raynare was surprised, noticing the armor he was donned in, recognizing it as Divine Dividing's Balance Breaker.

"Kazuki's armor is so beautiful."

Asia uttered noticing the brilliance released from the aura.

"So, this is the Armor of the Vanishing Dragon."

Mariah added staring at Kazuki who was donned in his armor.

No one else was able to utter a single word, being caught starting at the now armored Kazuki who stared down at Kokabiel.

"Kukukuku, Hahahahahahaha," Kokabiel simply let out a maniacal laugh. "I didn't expect that you would achieve Balance Breaker in this situation. Some lowly human who had barely been in the supernatural world for a month since he was too much of a…."

Kazuki seemed to have appeared in front of Kokabiel in a flash of light, then punched him in the face using a fist covered in a white aura. Kokabiel suffered a serious blow to the face as more blood leaked out from his mouth and nose, causing him to almost lose his senses.

"You talk too much."

Kazuki spoke in such a cold tone that it seemed unnatural.

[You can maintain your Balance Breaker for one hour. It's a good time limit, it appears as if all your training from childhood to now has paid off.]

"Kazuki," Issei called out catching his attention, but Kazuki was still focused on Kokabiel. "When the battle began Kokabiel and Balba put a spell that'll destroy our hometown in twenty minutes, and that was already a couple of minutes ago. I think that there are at least fifteen minutes left!"

"I'll finish this in five minutes or less."

Kazuki declared as Kokabiel glared at him with an intense look.

"I'll finish you in one minute, then!"

Kokabiel declared as he pulled back his fist, which was covered in light before launching if forward at Kazuki.

He didn't look worried about the assault as he aimed his fist forward and collided against the Cadre, with both the collision causing shockwaves that broke apart some of the school windows. There wasn't a dent in the armor, but Kazuki still felt the impact behind that punch. As their fists were still in contact, Kazuki retracted his fist backward causing Kokabiel to fall forward a bit.

After losing his footing for a bit, Kazuki moved at high-speed getting behind Kokabiel in a literal second, then held onto two of his black wings and—

"Raaaah! Y…You little shit! My wings!"

Kokabiel roared and screamed from pain as Kazuki had torn off a pair of his wings leaving him with eight instead of ten, as blood seeped from his back.

"I don't think that someone as disgusting as you deserve wings," Kazuki said tossing aside the wings he tore off as if they were garbage. "That's one pair."

"You bastard!"

Kokabiel roared as he created a massive light spear in his hand, then tossed it at Kazuki who didn't look worried as he retracted his hand. In a single motion, he broke through the light spear using a single punch covered in his aura causing a maddened expression to form on the Cadre's face. He flew toward Kazuki with reckless abandon as he starting attacking him using light swords.

Both of them started a close-range fight with Kazuki being able to handle him this time since he was overflowing with power, and made full use of his martial arts training. He was capable of handling the light swords in his hand as he avoided and broke them using his fists, then punched Kokabiel straight in the face. Kazuki didn't allow him to recover as he started piling on more attacks, ranging from punches and kicks on the Cadre.

"Damn, bastard!"

Kokabiel created a massive light spear in his hand and aimed it at Kazuki, who stopped it using his aura-covered hand.

[Divide! Divide! Divide!]

Kazuki continued to half the light spear, taking its power until it vanished.

"W-What? Gaah!"

Kokabiel's surprise was stopped as he received a hard knee in the stomach causing bile to escape from out his mouth. But, even that was interrupted as Kazuki linked his fists together, then slammed down both down onto the Cadre sending him crashing toward the ground. It was an impact that shook the ground, causing all the others to maintain their footing.

"Here's two."

"Graaah."

Kokabiel roared as Kazuki tore off another pair of wings, leaving him with six.

"D-Damn, I didn't expect seeing this from Kazuki."

Issei said noticing the brutal beating that Kazuki was currently inflicting on Kokabiel.

"D-Don't think that you can treat a Cadre like this!"

Kokabiel commented turning around to attempt an attack, but Kazuki grabbed a hold of his face and slammed it into the ground mirroring what he previously did to him. After being slammed into the ground, Kokabiel placed his hand on the ground and started digging his fingers into the ground.

"Fucker!"

Kokabiel released light from his entire body, and Kazuki to fly back as he escaped into the air.

"Do you think that you can beat me," Kokabiel soared into the sky aiming a straight-forward punch at Kazuki, who caught it. "Do you think that you can stop me…?!"

"I said, shut up!"

Kazuki punched Kokabiel using his free hand, causing blood to escape from his mouth and blew him backward. He didn't get off with just that as Kazuki chased after him as if turning into light, then started knocking the Cadre in various directions using various attacks as he continued chasing him across the sky.

No one was able to see most of the attacks as Kazuki soared at such high speed that it was almost hard for even someone of Kiba's caliber to keep up with him. All that they could see was a trail of light which was chasing after the Cadre who was being treated as a punching bag.

[Divide! Divide!]

Kazuki halved his power two times as the Cadre had several bruises across his body as blood leaked out from all his wounds and face. However, Kokabiel recovered from the beating as he glared at Kazuki using his bloodshot eyes as his killing intent remained as strong as before. It appears as if he was close to losing all his sanity.

"YOU LITTLE BASTARD! I'M AMONG TO THE HIGHEST ECHELON OF FALLEN ANGLES AND YOU DARE TO DO THIS TO ME! I CAN STILL ERASE THIS ENTIRE TOWN IF I SO DESIRED IT STARTING WITH THE DAMNABLE SCHOOL."

Kokabiel declared as he started creating a massive light spear in his hands using all the power that he still held in his body. In response to this, Kazuki didn't look worried at all as he started gathering a mass of white aura inside his hand, which continued growing in size until it dwarfed the massive light spear. Throughout this entire fight, he didn't fire off a single aura blast or attack since even with the barrier it could destroy a portion of the town if it had passed by the barrier. However, from this angle, this blast would continue heading into the sky without coming in contact with the ground.

"This is what I think about the so-called fallen angel from the highest echelon!"

Kazuki returned as he and Kokabiel released their individual attacks, and immediately the aura bullet overcame the light spear, then continued sailing toward Kokabiel. He realized that he wouldn't be able to endure that attack, but his pride wouldn't allow him to fall by the hand of a human.

"I won't allow myself to lose to a…."

Kokabiel declared holding his hands out to take the blast, however, there was a sudden pressure from above that everyone could sense.

"I'm sorry to interrupt this interesting fight, but I need him alive."

A familiar voice arrived one scene, before the barrier surrounding the entire school was broken from an invisible pressure. It was powerful enough to send the Student Council who tried maintaining it for the lauded time back and causing the others to almost buckle underneath the pressure. However, Kazuki remained standing as he felt the pressure above him, and realized that his aura bullet was erased too.

"So, I see that you managed to awaken Balance Breaker. I thought you would at some point."

"Vali?"

Vali hovered in-between Kazuki and Kokabiel, but he wasn't in a regular state, he was donned in black dragon armor and red jewels, similar to him his armor had light wings, but his were colored red. The pressure released from the armor, which seemed to almost blend into the night, caused a reaction from Albion and Ddraig inside their respective Longinus.

"I was hoping Tobio-sama would be the one to come here," Raynare uttered feeling the pressure being released by the individual. "If it's Vali, then things won't end well."

"Who's he?"

"He's one of our top fighters. He's the one whose sacred gear could become something comparable to even both Boosted Gear and Divine Dividing."

Raynare answered Rias, which was a statement none of them could go against since the pressure alone almost brought them to their knees.

"Why did you interfere?"

Kazuki asked as he turned his attention toward Vali, whose expression couldn't be read.

"I didn't want to since it was amusing seeing your growth. But, Azazel wanted me to bring this one home."

"Then you can tell Azazel that I'm not letting this one leave here alive."

"Amusing. But, that would require for you to fight me if you want to kill him."

At that obvious taunt, Kazuki and Vali seemed to have started giving off an aura from their armors; with the latter being amused since the former wasn't the type to answer to taunts.

"…Wendish Dragon."

Kokabiel uttered causing Kazuki to become confused about that title, but it sounded familiar.

"You strayed a little bit far from home, and Azazel gave me the order to come and detain you."

"If you get in my wa.…"

Kokabiel was stopped as Vali raised his hand causing Raynare to look a little bit panicked as she turned towards Rias and the others.

"Everyone move!"

"What?!"

Rias was surprised about the sudden order from Raynare who looked panicked.

"I don't know if he's planning on using a big one or not, but you all need to move before you're crushed!"

"What do you mean by crushed?!"

"Just run princess!"

Shove!

"Don't push me!"

Raynare wasn't in the mood of arguing with Rias as she started pushing and running from the area where Kazuki and Vali were hovering with Kokabiel. Everyone else followed suit after sensing a presence from Vali who looked to be prepared to punish the Cadre. From the gesture of his hand, there was a sudden invisible pressure, which was being brought down on Kokabiel before slamming him into the ground, creating a crater.

"I never did like the sight of your wings. Seeing them makes me think of a crow, a disgusting black color nothing like Azazel's, which almost resembles everlasting darkness," Vali commented coldly as he stared down Kokabiel, who was still being pinned down by an invisible pressure. "It appears as if Kazuki had the right idea of tearing off those wings."

"Raaaah! D-Damn y-you…."

Kokabiel roared as he struggled to stand up from the pressure, which seemed to have vanished as if it was never there, to begin with. The Cadre stood up and tried creating a light spear in his hand, but Vali vanished from sight at an almost faster speed than Kazuki, then appeared in front of Kokabiel.

"There's no need for wings for those who stooped down even below the earth, right?"

"I won't lose to some half-breed!"

Kokabiel tossed the light spear at Vali who simply raised his hand again without showing signs of being scared in the slightest. At that moment, the light spear stopped moving before it even reached Vali, then something strange happened next. For some reason, the light spear that was seemed to have been crushed into nothing without the slightest resistance.

"What is that ability, Albion? But, there is one idea that comes to mind."

Kazuki asked confused as he stared at what was happening and just a single idea came to mind based on what he was seeing before.

[I had my suspicions about what was housed inside of him. But, there's no doubt about it, it's her.]

"Her," Kazuki asked, but didn't get an immediate response from Albion. "But, being able to send Kokabiel to the ground and crush his light spear without moving. The only ability that I can imagine his sacred gear having it…."

[My, isn't this host of yours a smart one to figure that out, Albion.] From Vali's light wings, a female voice could be heard. Her voice was soft and mystifying, but it also sounded playful. [My name is Zirnitra, the Wendish Dragon. My Vali here as the sacred gear, Infernal Force, one of its abilities allows him to manipulate gravity around him on a whim.]

"I don't recall ever being yours?"

[Oh, come on, you're my favorite host, but you're not as nice to me as you are to the Ice Witch. Haven't I always been the closest one to you.]

Vali's almost cold indifference caused Zirnitra to groan sadly, causing Kokabiel to look irritated as Vali turned his sights on him again.

"I was told by Azazel to take you back even if by force. You acted a bit too much."

"You! So that's how it is! Azazel… Azazeeeeel! I…I…!"

Before Kokabiel could finish, Vali landed a powerful punch on Kokabiel, smashing against his voice and sending him crashing to the ground. It was an impact greater than what Kazuki had done to him so far, which was enough to knock him out. As if showing the battle was finished, the magic circle that was embedded into the ground fell to pieces showing the threat of the town being destroyed was gone too.

"Well, I'm finished here," Vali stated as Kokabiel's body was lifted from off the ground from a single gesture, then floating over towards him. His attention was then aimed towards Freed, who was also defeated on the ground as blood still leaked on the ground. "Looks like I have to carry Freed as well. There are things I need to ask him. We will deal with him after that."

Similar to Kokabiel, Freed was lifted off the ground and floated over towards Vali too, then he looked as if it were preparing to leave.

[Are you going to ignore me again, huh, Dark One?]

Albion spoke up, causing Vali to stop moving as if Zirnitra had requested him to.

[I thought that I sensed your presence during that time. But, then you never spoke there before.]

[Well, during that time, I was wondering what to think about you, and Ddraig. I never thought that the Heavenly Dragons would find themselves hosts of twin brothers. And also, Vali was being quite mean to me, and wouldn't let me interfere with training your host.]

Zirnitra spoke as she found it amusing for her to hear.

[I see that playful personality of yours hasn't changed since then.]

This time Ddraig spoke up as he spoke to Zirnitra spoke too with familiarity.

[I quite love my personality, no matter what anyone else believes. But, I must say you two have certainly changed quite a lot. I can't sense the same amount of hostility. Did you two find something more fun than fighting?]

[It appears so. I have found something a little more interesting than fighting and continuing our rivalry.]

[We should be having fun by ourselves for a while. It's not bad like this sometimes, right?]

Ddraig and Albion agreed with Zirnitra, who seemed to let out an amused laugh.

[Hahahaha, I see. Well, it appears as if you two will be fun to talk to this time around. But, I hope our hosts would be able to get along with one another. I quite like Vali, so, I hope your hosts will take care of him. So, I'll see you again, Albion, Ddraig.]

As the three dragons finished their conversation with one another, Vali turned around and floated into the air, but Issei then called out.

"Hey! What's the meaning of this!? Who are you and what are you doing!? You just came here and interrupted a fight Kazuki wanted to settle himself!"

Issei called out annoyed that someone intervened with Kazuki's fight.

"Nii-san."

Kazuki said as he landed on the ground, but whatever aggression that he previously had appeared to have faded after beating down Kokabiel. Vali instead turned towards Issei for a moment without showing the slightest hint of irritation about his interruption.

"You need strength to understand everything. So get stronger alongside your brother, and you might also be one of the people I wish to fight."

Once those words left his mouth, Vali took off into the night sky vanishing, leaving all of the people there in deep silence. Seeing that everything ended, Kazuki allowed a sigh to escape from his mouth as he stared at his opened armored hand.

"I really did end up achieving Balance Breaker," Kazuki uttered to himself as he tightened his fist after thinking of the thing that acted as a trigger. "But, I didn't think that I'd end up hearing that God died too. Now, what're we all going to do with this?"

"Kazuki-san?!"

Asia called out as she rushed over towards him with tears in her eyes.

Seeing her doing that, Kazuki exited from his Balance Breaker, then opened his arms as Asia wrapped her arms around his waist. In response to that, he wrapped his comforting arms around Asia, who seemed to be sobbing at the moment. He knew it must've been much harder for her to hear since she grew up being a believer inside of the Church compared to him.

"It's going to be alright, Asia-chan."

Kazuki said in a comforting tone as he rubbed the top of her head.

"I-I know. B-But, God has died…the person who bestowed many gifts to us."

Asia was more saddened to hear about his death rather than knowing the person she prayed to was never there to listen to them, which showcased her kindness.

"Yea. We're going to figure out what we're going to do later, alright. I'm just glad that we survived again this time around."

"Yes, but that was because Kazuki-san fought to protect all of us," Asia said smiling at him before blushing after recalling something he said. "Uh, about what you said then…?"

"Huh, what I said?"

Kazuki asked thinking about all the things that he said to Kokabiel since arriving, and the one thing that came to mind was one thing.

'And almost broke the heart of another girl I love and promised to protect!'

After recalling that, his face turned red since that too sounded like a confession, causing Asia's face to turn bright red.

"U-Uh, about what I said. I-I mean, it doesn't a lie, b-but…."

"My I was surprised to hear that Kazuki-kun confessed like that."

Raynare said as she suddenly appeared beside Kazuki and Asia, wearing a teasing smile on her face as she had her arms wrapped around them.

"But, it was sure surprising seeing Kazuki-kun awaken Balance Breaker. I bet that Azazel-sama is going to have himself a field day after hearing about this," Raynare stated as she starting focusing her attention more on him as her breasts were pressed upon him. "You were quite manly the entire time, especially when you came crashing in to rescue me."

"You're welcome. B-But now isn't the time for you to…."

"My, aren't you popular with women?"

Mariah arrived afterward, standing beside him watching the entire situation with an amused and teasing smile.

"U-Uh, this isn't…."

"I heard stories of the Hakuryuukou and Sekiryuutei all forming harems of women who became attracted to them during their respective eras. So, female exorcists and nuns were told to be cautious of coming in contact with a host. I must be careful around him too."

Mariah started into a conversation with herself as she spoke out loud talking about what she heard about all the male Heavenly Dragon hosts.

"C-Come on, stop teasing me."

Kazuki knew that she wasn't being serious as she was talking about that, causing Mariah to turn toward him with her hands held up smiling.

"You're right~ I know that Iri-chan's Kazu-chan wouldn't make girls do something they didn't."

Mariah commented as she glanced to the side.

Despite acting as casual as normal, Kazuki could see that the news of God's death had affected her too, which is something he could tell based on how she was holding Almace. Her hand was shaking as she was attempting to contain herself without showing how much it affected her.

"So, what do you plan on doing? I mean, can you return to the Church knowing that…?"

Kazuki asked as Mariah looked aside glancing at Xenovia who was holding onto Durandal in her hands without it leaving her hand. She could see that the blue-haired girl was contemplating what she herself was going to do at this moment with what she was told.

"I don't know. I can't tell what might happen if we return to the Church with the knowledge that God's dead since we might influence things. If it's bad enough that someone as honest as Gabriel-sama never mentioned it, then it is something that might end up ending the Church. If the Church found out about this, then the faiths of everyone there would crumble apart, and that might affect Heaven too."

Kazuki was surprised that was how Mariah thought about the situation, thinking of the people around them, and not how it would affect her. But, it did beg the question of how God's death affect everything, which was might be the cause of Kiba awakening something called a "holy-demonic sword".

"Well, we should at least complete our mission in gathering the cores and Balba's corpse to the Church," Mariah said as she placed her hand on her side and smiled. "It might end up being my last mission as an Exorcist. But, if possible, I would like to talk to Gabriel-sama again."

"What kind of person is Gabriel-sama?"

"She's the kindest woman that I've ever met. Gabriel-sama is also a woman who is deserving of all my respect," Mariah said before smiling and giving him a teasing look. "Gabriel-sama is also so beautiful that your heart may end up being stolen from you."

"You're certainly the opposite of Yuuto-kun."

"Like I want to hear that from a fellow younger twin."

Mariah and Kazuki continued their casual conversation, then she turned around to head off to complete what just might be her final mission. He looked on wondering what she was going to do since like Asia, she grew up inside of the Church. Raynare also walked off to write up her report of the situation so that she could give it to Azazel as soon as she reported to him.

"…now what kind of mess is going to come from this fight?"

Kazuki asked as he continued rubbing Asia's head as she still had her arms wrapped around him in a comforting manner unable to let go. He was worried about what was going to happen next, but at least with Balance Breaker, he wouldn't have to be worried about handling himself in a serious fight.

"I hate to say this, but I'm glad Iri-chan wasn't involved in this right. She likely has the strongest faith among us, if Iri-chan heard the truth, then it could have broken her."

Kazuki thought, not wanting to think about Irina in that kind of condition.

"Kazuki-kun."

He turned around to see that Sona was approaching him with Tsubaki and Saji close behind their King, both had stopped as she arrived in front of them.

"First, I wanted to congratulate you for awakening Balance Breaker against Kokabiel. It wasn't something that I'd expect to see tonight, more so since it was hard for all of us to maintain the barrier for a moment."

Sona said much to his embarrassment thinking about how hard it must've been for them to maintain.

"Yea, I apologize for that. I didn't really think things through in the most rational way."

Kazuki replied as he scratched his head embarrassed after thinking about that, but then noticed that Sona gave a rare smile as she continued.

"Well, we were already prepared to contain whatever powers Kokabiel would release. I do feel as if I do owe you thanks for keeping the damage done to the school to a minimum. As the Student Council President, I'm happy to see that the school is still standing after all this."

Sona was speaking to Kazuki as casual as usual, which was something that Tsubaki had gotten used to hearing from her at this point. Saji was still standing there as if there as he was unable to come out what he wanted to tell Kazuki, so he remained on the sidelines silent.

"But, I wanted to say that I'm sorry to you and Asia-chan about what you heard."

Sona pointed out, mentioning the things that she also wanted to say.

"Well, it wasn't something that I was expecting to hear when preparing to fight against a Cadre. But, all we could do in this situation is come to terms with it and attempt to move forward."

"That's mature of you, Kazuki-kun," Sona said giving him a more genuine smile this time. "It's something that I'd expect from you. If you ever want to talk, then…."

"Hahahahahahaha!"

For whatever reason, Saji started laughing as he held onto his stomach, causing Sona to turn to face him with a serious expression.

"Saji, what would possess you to do that?"

"Hahahahahahaha, I'm sorry, Kaichou, but…. Hahahaha, look!"

Saji was struggling to speak as he pointed his finger over towards the source of his sudden laughter, causing the others to turn in that direction too. There Sona fixed her glasses coughing lightly, Tsubaki seemed to have a faint blush, Kazuki, and Asia also looked on wearing a confused face.

At the moment, Kiba was bent down on the ground with his butt facing Rias as she spanked him using her hand, which was covered in demonic power. Standing beside her were Akeno and Koneko, who wore their usual looks on their faces; Issei, on the other hand, was laughing hard the entire time like Saji. But, he wasn't alone as Mariah and Raynare couldn't help laughing oddly at the scene.

"You and Rias-senpai certainly give weird punishments to your servants."

Kazuki pointed out unable to comprehend what was happening right in front of him at the moment.

"Well, we have to punish our servants somehow. Most Kings would be more brutal than this, which is the reason that Rias and I give this kind of punishment sometimes. If we don't punish our servants, then it might result in them repeating the same mistake. Isn't that right, Saji?"

Sona replied as she turned her attention over towards Saji, who stood up straight as he could still feel the lasting pain coming from his rear end from simply recalling it.

"Well, as much as I…let's be honest, I don't want to see this. So, can you all handle things from here," Kazuki in a wry manner glanced away, as could hear Kiba yell. "I kinda want to get some sleep."

"Yes, we can handle things from here. I mean, it is more our responsibilities compared to you."

"Thanks, I'll see you all later," Kazuki said before picking up Asia like a princess, which surprised her, even Sona, Tsubaki, and Saji, who looked jealous about how casually he did that. "Come on, Asia-chan."

"Y-Yes, Kazuki-san."

Asia said nervously as she wrapped her arms around his neck, then the two of them flew off into the night sky in the direction of the Hyoudou Residence.

"Kaichou, do you believe that Kazuki-kun would be alright with this news?"

Tsubaki asked as Sona stared off into the direction where he had added, then looked down as a smile formed on her face.

"Yes, I believe that Kazuki-kun can move on even after hearing about God's death. It isn't just because he's the Hakuryuukou, but because it isn't in his nature to be stopped from something like this."

Sona replied without showing the slightest amount of doubt in that belief.

It was one of the first times that Sona expressed herself honestly like this, even for Tsubaki, who has more of a history with Sona aside from Rias. And it wasn't long until she returned to her usual serious demeanor as she led her peerage to take care of any damage done to the school. However, the repairs of the school gym would need to be taken care of using assistance from the Underworld.

The next morning, Kazuki found himself waking up in his bedroom staring at his bedroom ceiling as he could still feel the residual exhaustion from last night. His eyes were opened tiredly as he also woke up with a bad case of bedhead. Kazuki groggily sat up from his bed as he looked down towards his covers while scratching his hair as he even felt the tension in his muscles.

"Ngh, I didn't think that I'd wake up this stressed out in the morning."

Kazuki groaned as he noticed there wasn't anyone sleeping beside him.

He couldn't see Irina nor Asia beside him, both of whom made did the same thing and held onto his arms in their sleep. Last night, Kazuki entered his bedroom to find Irina still asleep in his bedroom and was glad to see Irina all better compared to when he found her. Of course, he offered to sleep on the floor, while Asia and Irina have the bed to themselves.

However, Asia insisted that he'd sleep in the bed too after everything that happened during the battle against the Cadre, and how hard he fought. He didn't have it in him to reject a request from Asia, and he didn't want to wake up Irina. Kazuki relented in the end, not that he had an issue with sharing a bed with two beautiful young women, who he also had feelings for.

Not seeing a point in remaining in bed any longer, Kazuki got up as he stretched out his arms as a yawn escaped from his mouth. He turned his attention to the cross that was still around his neck, which belonged to Irina and he thought back to last night.

"God's dead, but I'm still going to make good use of the sacred gear he left behind. I'll never misuse it, and I'll use it to protect the people. That's what I promise as the Hakuryuukou."

Kazuki had resolved himself to accomplish that goal, which he had placed upon himself.

"Well, I didn't get the chance to take a bath last night."

With that in mind, Kazuki gathered what he needed to take a bath, then headed there, looking forward to ridding himself of stress.

As soon as he entered the bath with a towel wrapped around his waist, Kazuki had found himself walking in on a sight that he never thought possible.

"Wow, Asia-chan, your skin is beautiful."

"N-No way. I think that your white skin is beautiful and smooth, Irina-chan."

Kazuki walked in on Irina and Asia as the two women were bathing one another as soap had covered their naked bodies. He could see that their respective brunette and blonde hairs were properly tied, both of them looked as if they were enjoying their time together. Kazuki's mind was in a state of panic as he didn't realize that anyone was inside the bath because several things were on his head at the moment.

"Huh, waah, K-Kazu-chan?"

Irina turned around to see Kazuki standing there wearing a surprised look on her face since she hadn't expected to see him there.

"Oh, Kazuki-san, do you want to join too?"

Asia noticing him entered offered as she smiled.

"J-Joining in…?"

Kazuki was still stomped as he was unable to handle being stimulated from the sight right in front of him.

"H-Huh, Asia-chan, have you and K-Kazu-chan b-bathed together before?"

"Hmmhmm, Kazuki-san and I had a 'nude encounter' before and our relationship has started increasing."

"I-Is that so? S-So have Asia-chan seen, K-Kazu-chan's 'thing'?"

Irina asked poking her fingers together as her attention seemed to have been towards his important part, which had been stimulated from the view. However, seeing that caused him to feel complicated as he covered himself using his hand almost out of instinct.

At this point, even Asia was blushing after recalling it.

"T-Then, Kazu-chan shouldn't have a problem with sharing a bath with us, right?"

It was worse since Kazuki was standing inside the same bath as two women that he could never refuse. Kazuki asked as he was recovering from the exhaustion that had hit him this morning.

"What else. I heard that Kazu-chan gained his Balance Breaker, then started beating up on Kokabiel," Irina said excitingly as she punched the air as if reenacting what she thought happened during the battle. "I was so excited hearing what happened during the battle from Asia-chan. And I'm happy that Kazu-chan was able to avenge me."

Kazuki wasn't that surprised to hear that from her since it sounded like something that Irina would say.

"So, did you wake up at the same time?"

"Yes, Irina-chan and I were talking to each other inside of the living room for a time with Kaa-san before deciding to take a bath together."

"Talking with Kaa-chan," Kazuki had uttered as he was worried about what his mother would have talked to them considering how proactive she was about it. "Well, I'm surprised to see Asia-chan and Iri-chan are getting along this well with one another."

Kazuki pointed out since he thought that the two of them would be a disagreement with one another based on their initial meeting in his room.

"Hmmhmm, well, Asia-chan and I started talking, and we realized we had a lot in common."

"Yes, I quite like talking to Irina-chan."

Irina looked proud about hers and Asia's budding friendship, while the latter looked glad about it.

Kazuki himself was happy to see that two of the most important girls currently in his life were getting along, which was something that caused a bright smile to form on his face.

"Kazu-chan, I was wondering something."

"Huh?"

"After school could you go on a date with me."

"Eh? I mean, I don't mind, but…."

Kazuki was surprised about that sudden request from Irina, but he didn't have anything wrong with taking Irina on a date. However, his attention was drawn over towards the blonde-haired beauty beside her who too entered the bathtub beside the brunette. As if nothing his gaze, Asia smiled and nodded her head in acceptance.

"Please have fun with Irina-chan, Kazuki-san."

"R-Right," Kazuki replied much to the happiness of the blonde and brunette, however, he was confused about it all. "Did I wake up in a parallel world or something? I thought that Asia-chan would be pouting or becoming jealous when Iri-chan asked if we could go on a date. What exactly did they talk about when I was asleep?"

As Kazuki wondered that, he decided to put it aside from the time being and simply finish preparing himself to go to school. He didn't notice that Irina and Asia had nodded their heads together as if the two of them had come up with a solution for the unique situation.

Finishing up, Kazuki and Asia went to school, as usual, leaving Irina for a time at their home. Upon arriving there, it was surprising that the Underworld repaired the school as good as new. Even the gym, which was annihilated was now where it was before as if nothing happened. However, considering that the Underworld would produce a replica of Kuoh Academy inside of another dimension using their technologies, the surprise didn't last long.

All of them had gone through their classes as normal as possible, some of those involved in the Kokabiel Incident from last night was still thinking about what happened. Kazuki and Asia did feel a little bad that they hadn't been there for the aftermath of it. However, they received a report from the others that nothing serious happened with the Underworld aside from a simple report.

Kazuki could tell that things were going to get more serious since the death of God was revealed to them all. The death of God and the Four Maou, all of whom could be known as pillars for the Three Factions, meant that he needed to be prepared for whatever happens.

School had ended quicker than Kazuki thought as the students left from school or went to their club activities, but he was looking forward to going on a date with Irina. He was still receiving 'good luck' comments from Asia, who didn't appear to have anything wrong with it still. If it was anyone else, then Kazuki would have been suspicious of their intentions, however, he laughed at the thought of Asia doing anything like that.

Kazuki found himself standing in Kuoh Town near a store waiting for Irina, dressed in a white shirt, an unfastened bluish-gray casual dress shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers; with his cross around his neck. He was standing there in a casual position checking his clothing several times. It wouldn't technically be the first day that he has ever been on, Kazuki still couldn't help being a little nervous.

"I wonder what Iri-chan is going to be dressed like. I don't think that she brought anything else aside from clothing to sleep in, and a replacement…."

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Kazu-chan."

"I wasn't waiting for that," Kazuki said turning around before finding himself staring at the clothing that Irina wore for the date, and found himself gawking. "W-Wow."

Irina was dressed in a bluish-purple sweater hanging off of her shoulders, where he could see her black bra strap on her shoulders, a green plaid skirt, black leggings, and shoes; in addition to a bluish-purple jacket too. He was unable to take his attention from off Irina as she stood there dressed in something that was beyond what he had been expecting.

"Uh, is this weird? Should I have worn something…different?"

Irina stood there fidgeting in place as she wondered if it looked weird on her.

"N-No, of course not, this looks great on you. I just wasn't expecting to see you dressed like this."

"W-Well, Mari-chan helped me pick out what I was going to wear this morning after Kazu-chan and Asia-chan left for school," Irina said poking her fingers together shyly. "Mari-chan mentioned that she has an eye for fashion."

"Wait, how could you afford that when you spent all your money on that painting?"

Kazuki asked as Irina looked sad at that moment.

"Mari-chan ended up returning the painting that I bought of Saint Peter-sama. I loved that painting and planned on hanging it up somewhere."

"There, there."

Kazuki said smiling wryly, gently patting Irina on her back as she sobbed at the loss of her painting.

"Well, whatever, I can look forward to going out on a date with Kazu-chan," Irina stated returning to her cheerful smile, causing him to laugh about how quickly she bounced back. "And that's nothing that no one can steal from me at all. So, let's go spend our time together, Kazu-chan~!"

"Right, Iri-chan."

Kazuki couldn't help smiling at Irina's reaction to that, then held out his arm towards her. Seeing this and knowing its meaning, Irina smiled and latched her arm onto his as the two started their date.

Kazuki and Irina spent their time going all around Kuoh Town, with the latter becoming reacquainted with the place she grew up in. Even after returning to Kuoh, she didn't have the time to see all the places since she was busy dealing with the missing Excaliburs and Kokabiel. Both the childhood friends found themselves enjoying the time they were spending with one another like in the past.

From having an ice cream swirl purchased from a desert stand, Kazuki laughing at the face that Irina had gotten ice cream on herself. Irina, of course, didn't take kindly to being laughed at and reverted to her mischievous self by attempting to smear hers on his face. Kazuki continued laughing while being chased around by his crush as she was attempting to hit him with the ice cream.

Irina did end up getting him in the end, after pretending to trip, and smeared it on his face after getting Kazuki to get closer to her. Both of them ended up laughing at the same time, as the people around them stared on, some of them finding it adorable, and others being jealous about it.

They had continued their date after Kazuki cleaned himself up, with their next location being the aquarium, where Irina cheerfully tried mimicking the same faces of the odd-looking fish. Kazuki ended up taking photos of all those faces using his phone as she made them, feeling more and more content as they continued on their date. Their next destination was the gaming center, where Irina genuinely felt in her element as she started from playing any fighting or combat game that she could find; most being versus or co-op.

Several boys from Kuoh Academy inside the gaming center were jealous that Kazuki was with a beautiful girl, who also love playing games like this. The two of them spent an ample amount of time inside of the gaming center as Irina broke several people's records on multiple games.

"Hah, that was so fun."

Irina said as she fell forward on the table of a family restaurant, thinking back to all the things that she and Kazuki had done on their date.

"I can still remember the last time we hung out like this."

Kazuki added as he could see the waitress bringing in our orders.

"Yea, I remember that," Irina said as she held up her head using her hand smiling. "Kazu-chan and I went all out hanging out together since it would be the last time for a long time. But, I was still very sad that I wouldn't be able to see Kazu-chan again. So, I was as happy as possible to learn that I was coming back home."

"I felt the same way," Kazuki said as he picked up the soda that he ordered and drank from the contents using its straw. "Well, our reunion also turned into stopping a psychopathic rogue exorcist, holy sword fanatic, and Cadre, all of which tried blowing up the town."

"But, it all ended when Kazu-chan beat down Kokabiel and finished that part of our mission."

"That was because of the Wendish Dragon who arrived. He ended up taking down Kokabiel before I could even fully pay him back for everything he did."

There was still some regret inside of Kazuki since he didn't end up taking out Kokabiel himself, more so since he ended up hurting Irina the worst.

"Even then, it doesn't change the fact that Kazu-chan is still my hero."

Irina said as she placed her hand on his, causing him to feel the gentle touch of her hand, then their fingers had become linked to one another. Kazuki looked up to find Irina smiling at him with the cutest look on her face, while a smile formed on his.

"Ahem, I'm still standing here."

Kazuki and Irina jumped after hearing the waitress was still standing beside them, causing them to remove their hand from each other. Both their cheeks were flushed as the waitress allowed a slight laugh to escape from her mouth as she stared at them.

"You two are just too cute not to be seeing each other," she stated as she looked between Kazuki and Irina. "If you want we offer a special cake for couples, and I think this cutie here does love sweets."

"Yea, sure. We'll take it."

Kazuki replied, after recovering from the previous incident.

"Well, then I'll be bringing it in a moment. You are quite the gentleman taking care of your girlfriend like this."

Those were the last words from the waitress as she walked off.

"K-Kazu-chan and I do look like a good couple, right?"

Irina said nervously, liking the fact that the woman thought that the two of them did look like the perfect couple to be boyfriend and girlfriend. As if to tease the tension, she started eating from the fries of her order as she nibbled on them taking light glances at him.

"Yea, we certainly do. I wouldn't mind being a couple with Iri-chan."

Kazuki added, not minding being seeing as a couple, causing Irina to smile at that moment before the thought had entered her head.

"Uh, Kazu-chan, did something else happen during the fight against Kokabiel?"

He was surprised about the sudden question from Irina as she stared at him curiously.

"What do you mean?"

"Mari-chan and Xenovia have been acting weird when we were making preparations to return to the church with the missing Excalibur cores and Balba's corpse. Mari-chan tried playing it off, and Xenovia wouldn't say anything about anything else."

"Nothing happened, but I guess that Xenovia is upset that she wasn't able to beat Kokabiel herself. And Mariah-san had a reunion with her old friends when Yuuto-kun achieved Balance Breaker."

Kazuki mentioned, technically not lying to her since those things did happen since he couldn't really mention the other thing that happened about God. He tried getting his mind off of that thought by eating the hamburger, which he ordered along with hers.

"Well, I can see that being what's troubling them. But, I can't help seeing them like that since Xenovia and Mari-chan have been close friends with me since we were trainees. I don't like seeing my friends depressed like that."

Irina said as she started eating the hamburger that she ordered as Kazuki felt wrong since he couldn't tell her the truth. But, it wasn't like he could just come out and tell her since it was for her own good and spiritual health. He was glad since the waitress returned with the cake in hand before placing it in front of them.

"Here's your order. So please enjoy it."

She walked off after bowing her head, leaving them there to enjoy the ordered desert.

"Well, if we're going to be a couple," Kazuki said picking up the fork and taking a piece from the cake, then held it out in front of Irina who stared on surprised. "Say, ahhh~"

"…."

Irina looked surprised as flushed lightly as she opened her mouth to accept the piece of cake.

Seeing that, Kazuki ended up planting the cake inside of her mouth, which Irina closed and started chewing the cake in her mouth.

"Hmmm," Irina hummed cheerfully as stars seemed to appear in her eyes. "That's the most delicious cake that I have ever eaten!"

"Hahahaha, then how about another one?"

Irina nodded her head at that suggestion as Kazuki continued feeding her pieces of the cake as Irina felt as if she was on floating on a cloud. From the sweetness and fluffiness, she couldn't get enough of the desert placed in the middle of their table.

"Geez, seeing that face of yours almost makes me want to have a piece too."

Kazuki teased noticing that Irina hadn't attempted to offer him any of the cake.

"Oh, then let me feed Kazu-chan!"

Irina said as she snatched the fork from his hand before he could react, then did the same thing that Kazuki had been doing. Seeing that, Kazuki ate the piece of cake and could see the reason that Irina wanted to monopolize the desert for herself.

"This is good."

"Yes, it is. Now here's another bite!"

Irina declared as she held another piece of cake in front of him, which Kazuki too ate.

Both of them continued this routine for the rest of their time there, but saved some for Asia, who they thought will love eating this cake too. Afterward, Kazuki and Irina finished their first orders, while continuing to talk about an assortment of menial and friendly things before leaving.

Irina declared as she jumped on his bed, landing on her back and looking forward towards the ceiling.

"Yea, it was good being able to spend time together like that."

"I wonder when we'll be able to have fun like that again. I'll be leaving again for the Church. So…."

"Well, I know where you are this time. So, it shouldn't be that difficult for me to go and see if I wanted to," Kazuki said confidently without showing fear. "And if the exorcists try to stop me, then I'll have to force my way through them."

"I never thought that I'd ever heard that from Kazu-chan who was so usually passive. But, I wouldn't be separated from Kazu-chan for years if he came to see me, and I could convince the Church to allow me to come from when I have times off."

"So, that means we won't be separated again."

Kazuki said as he leaned down so that he was laying behind Irina, who liked the idea of not being separated from him again.

"Yes, I'd love that."

Irina said as she found herself placing his hand on top of his and linked them together.

"Kazu-chan, there's something that I wanted to know."

"What's that?"

Kazuki asked curious about what she could have wanted to know from him.

"Do you love Asia-chan?"

"I know that," Irina said as she placed her hand on top of his hand gently, then smiled at him. "And I don't mind if Kazu-chan loves another girl as long as he still loves me too."

Kazuki couldn't believe what he was hearing from Irina.

"Oba-sama talked about making Asia-chan and I Kazu-chan's brides," Irina revealed to Kazuki causing him to let a sigh escaped from his mouth, expecting that from his mother at that point. "But, isn't Kazu-chan the Hakuryuukou. So, there shouldn't be a problem with that, right?"

"I don't mind if Kazu-chan loves someone else. B-But, I-I don't want anyone else to take Kazu-chan's first time. I talked to Asia-chan about that this morning, and she understood that," Irina said as she turned her head in another direction. "If Kazu-chan doesn't want to, t-then we could do…."
