Toshiro and Rangiku approached the school building in their Shinigami forms, rendering them invisible to the students and teachers with only average spiritual energy. They scanned their surroundings, searching for anything out of place.
"Are you sure you detected something here, Captain?" Rangiku questioned.
Hitsuiga furrowed his brow. "I was sure I sensed a disturbance around this school, but it has disappeared." He then let out a breath. "Meaning the enemy is likely onto us and is hiding."
Rangiku looked concerned. "Do you think they're hiding within a boundary field?" the vice-captain suggested.
"Perhaps…" Histguya pondered as he held his chin. "However, that only encourages further investigation. It would be best to search this entire school to find them."
Rangiku then pouted. "The entire school?"
Histguya let out an exasperated breath. "Quit complaining," Toshiro snapped to his lieutenant. "Due to not having exceptional officers like Kurosaki, both of us will have to work twice as hard to be thorough. And once the servant and master have been found, one of us will call in a special freeze around an area of 300 ken to avoid human casualties"
Rangiku became stern and nodded in understanding. However, just when she was about to begin her search, she noticed an amber teen with brown golden eyes, Shirou, staring at her. Rangiku immediately realized she had found either a master or a servant.
"Captain-!" she was about to say, only to then notice a long, chain silver dagger that appeared out of the air and headed right towards her. It was only by Rangiku's sharp reflexes that she managed to stop the blow. The attacker revealed herself to be a long-haired, pink woman in a tight, short black dress.
"Rangiku!" Toshiro called out, only to then be flanked by both Shirou and Archer, both wielding Sakuyand Byakuya, forcing the captain to draw his zanpakuto to block their strikes.
'Well it seems you no longer have your captain to protect you associate!' The servent mocked Rangiku and later engaged Rider in a deadly dance of blades, as the servant circled around the vice-captain with her superior speed, attacking the Shinigami at every angle with her daggers. Yet Rangiku managed to block and evade the servant's every strike, and while she wouldn't say it was easy to do so, it was far less difficult to do so against a supposed captain-level fighter.
However, just before Rangiku got confident in her chances, Rider threw her left dagger at the vice-captain. But when the Shinigami tried to block it, the dagger wrapped around her zanpakuto with its chain, immobilizing it. Rider then raised up her other dagger and then lunged at Rangiku to pierce her heart.
Yet Rangiku merely smirked. "Growl, Haineko!" Matsumoto shouted out, and in an instant, the blade of her zanpakuto transformed into a massive cloud of ash, releasing itself from Rider's chain much to the servant's surprise.
"Neko Rinbu!" the vice-captain announced, and a second later, Rider was entrapped in a whirlwind of ash. With a flick of her wrist, a cut appeared on Rider's body much to her confusion.
"Try as you might, servant, but you won't be able to escape Neko Rinbu. For the ash that surrounds you is an extension of my blade, and the moment you interact with it, you will be torn asunder!" Rangiku boasted, while Rider gave a look of irritation.
That is until Rangiku's technique was dispersed when a red jewel flew, denoted the explosion allowed the rider to escape and forced Rangiku to block an attack from one the Servant's chain daggers.
On the other side of the battlefield, Shirou and Archer continued to pressure Toshiro with their twin swords. With both of them working together in tangent with each other almost flawlessly. They unleashed a variety of precise, quick, and powerful blows on their enemy.
Yet despite their exceptional teamwork and relentless assault, Toshiro's superior speed, agility, and strength enabled him to hold his own quite evenly against Shirou and Archer. Countering, blocking, and dodging their moves with a level of skill and experience that went far beyond what his visual age suggested. Eventually, upon seeing an opening, Toshiro used the flash step to cover some distance between him and Shirou and Archer.
But to them, that was what they were expecting. Just right after Toshiro covered his distance, he was suddenly attacked by Saber from behind, who swung her invisible sword at him, empowered by the strike of the wind king, while Shirou and Archer attacked the captain at the front with both of their twin blades drawn. Hoping to gang up on the captain and run him through at multiple points and prevent him from unleashing his zanpakuto.
Unfortunately, none of them were fast enough…
With a single wave of his zanpakuto, a massive wall of ice shot out from the edge of his blade which eclipsed the size of the school building and blocked the attacks of Shirou, Archer, and Saber all at once, and in the next instant, the ice wall collapsed into an avalanche that nearly swallowed the group whole. Forcing them all to jump several feet away from the rushing gelid.
Then standing in the center of the ice flow stood Histguya , his zanpakuto now in its shikai state. With its blade longer and having a chain crescent sickle attached at the pommel of his sword. While the captain stared at Saber, Archer, and Shirou with calm yet focused turquoise eyes.
"I will admit your strategy to take me down was solid. With the two of you ganging up on me at once, forcing me to retreat and use that opening you purposefully created. Then while my back was turned, you had your stronger alley try to blindside me. Cutting any escape route I could make and leaving me vulnerable to getting skewered...however"
Toshiro's eyes then glowed white while a matching aura flowed out of his body like a geyser, making the air heavy and cold. "It will take more than that to defeat a captain of the Gotei 13!"
The icy shingami then jumped high into the air and raised up his zanpakuto. "Sit upon the frosted heavens, Hyōrinmaru!"
After announcing the release command of his zanpakuto, the sky become cloudy and dark and thundering, while water and ice flowed from up the guard of his sword and around it's blade before swirling around Toshiro's body, and then to the amazement of Saber and Shirou, and the frustration of Archer, the flow of the ice itself transformed into a huge Chinese dragon with furious red eyes before letting out a defining roar.
"Shirou, Archer…" Saber asked. "Have either of you analyzed exactly what this captain's zanpakuto is?"
"Archer then narrowed his eyes and let out deep inward breath. "Hyōrinmaru…is an elemental type zanpakuto that enables its master to manipulate water and ice." He then focused his gaze on the stormy weather above and the circling ice dragon. "And not only that but it is also the strongest of all the water and ice type zanpakuto, due to having the power to manipulate all the moisture in the atmosphere and even the weather itself"
"I see…" Saber acknowledged. "So fighting against this Captain would be the equivalent of fighting against a natural disaster" She then focused her gaze on Toshiro. "I will draw his focus while you and Archer attack from a distance and until then when either of you find an opening, strike him down with all your might!" she ordered, with Shirou nodding and Archer giving an approved huffed.
Saber then dashed towards Toshiro at near light speed, with the latter then launching his ice dragon at her. It's jaws opening wide and forcing the servant to jump away. Yet when the dragon slammed into the ground, it exploded into a gush of water that ended up splashing on Saber and later freezing into ice.
Though thankfully through a combination of her mana reserves and resistance, she was able to harmlessly brush the ice from her armor…at least when it didn't come from a direct strike.
Toshiro then flash stepped behind Saber and launched a large wave of ice at her. She however countered by cutting through it with her invisible wind covered blade and then struck down at the captain with such force that he was forced to use both hands to block the strike, and then looked at the invisible wind covered blade.
'So that is the invisible blade that Rukia mentioned…' he thought to himself while stepping. 'Which apparently makes it difficult to determine its size, length, and without forehand knowledge even knowing what type of blade it is…but still' he then remembered the part of Rukia telling him about the beam of light from the sword that was powerful enough to cancel out Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshou. He then tightened the grip on his sword. "I will have to take her out before she gets the chance to launch that move."
Histuya then engaged Saber in a fierce battle with struggling to emerge the victor.
Meanwhile, Rangiku was struggling to fight against both Rider and Rin, with the former's speed keeping the vice-captain on the defensive while the latter kept her pinned down by launching a barrage of Gandr magical bullets.
Unfortunately for Rin, while Gandr may be the magical equivalent of a high-powered firearm…
"Bakudō #8 Seki!"
It faired a little against an expert of kido as Rangiku conjured a medium blue shield on her wrist that easily blocked the black energy projectiles much to Rin's frustration, who was then about to throw another jewel. But the vice-captain immediately used a flash step to get behind the Magus, grabbed her wrist, and prevented Tosaka from throwing it. While placing the blade of her zanpakuto near Rin's neck to subdue her.
"Enough!" Rangiku called out to Rider, who stopped in her tracks. "This battle is over, surrender now and no harm will come to the master," the vice-captain commanded, while Rin growled in frustration.
Meanwhile, Shirou and Archer were busy keeping their distance in fighting the captain, waiting to see an opening to take, while Saber and Toshiro continued to struggle overcome the other.
With Saber used her strength and swordsmanship to try and pressure the captain with fury of poweful strikes while Toshiro used his superior speed to evade her blows, while desperately trying to ise his ice manipulation to find and opening freeze Saber soild.
That was until everyone heard two girls scream from the other side of the battlefield. making all combatants halt they're as Saber, Shirou, and Archer recognized the voice of Rin. While Toshiro recognized his vice-captain Ranigiku.
Yet when they all arrived they saw that Rider had stabbed both Rin and Rangiku in the stomach with one of her chain silver daggers.
