"Alright, so we write notes everytime the adults have private discussions. We've already rewatched and written down all the notes we could get from past episodes; we'll do the same thing whenever we start watching the future, it could help stop Roman and Cinder all together."

Team RWBY, Team JNPR, and Sun were having their own collective little meeting on how to proceed with the information that's been said behind closed doors. It has already been finalized that Ren will be the one to jot down the data, Ren being the most observant. "We can categorize between the info. We have a section for our knowledge between the adults, another section around Roman and things that involve him, if they do come up, and just smaller things that could be written for things we could do to possibly change the future." Everyone paid close attention as Team RWBY continued to explain the plan.

And there's where I'm on the fence about. Yes, I want them to learn and grow from this experience, but a good chunk of what they're going to see kinda needs to happen. There are moments that really affect them, and if they didn't happen, what then?

Ignoring her own inner dilemma, Raider focuses her awareness back to the group, only to realize they'd finished reviewing and were ready to begin the next episode.

(Volume 2 Intro)

In the locker room, Pyrrha preps herself, once finished, she walks out. Pyrrha swiftly rends through Cardin with Milo.

"I appreciate the transitions." Pyrrha was admiring the way the episode starts off, valuing the episode's way of changing the setting. Finding the shift to be clean.

Pyrrha continues to walk through the hall of the locker room. She repeats, but swipes at her opponent's legs instead. Pyrrha pulls out Milo and Akouo. In reality, she's fighting all of Team CRDL. Pyrrha meets the entrance of the hall. Milo beats Russel onto the floor. Rapidly changing from Pyrrha's full figure to her rushing feet it finally ends with Milo completely extended and Pyrrha briskly moves across the field, slicing Cardin with one swipe to another.

Cardin isn't fast enough as Pyrrha comes down from above. At least he was quick to roll out of the way to avoid her incoming jab as she stabs the floor. Twirling Milo in the air she fires it, a boom resounding as it bounces off of Dove's chestplate from the force. Crouching low to the floor she swipes Dove in the legs, causing him to lose balance and fall.

Sky takes a stab at attempting to bring the warrior down but fails as Pyrrha shows him no mercy. Alternating her weapon into a rifle, she shoots Sky's ax, firing it back. He goes in for a hit, but Pyrrha easily blocks it with Akouo. Cutting up Sky with Milo in javelin form, she knocks him out. Finally, she goes for Cardin, deterring each attack of his mace, hitting and succeeding with more succession.

I have such an awesome mentor! Jaune was in pure awe as he watched Pyrrha fight. Granted, he'd seen this before, but it's still just as inspiring watching Pyrrha fight.

Blake, having not been in her best state of mind, didn't particularly pay that well of attention to the battle, but now having a clear head she was ashamed she didn't fully respect her friend's battling prowess.

Cardin goes to slam Pyrrha with Executioner, she dodges out of the way resulting in the Executioner to explode a crater in the ground. He tries again, but from a horizontal angle, though Pyrrha halts it with Akouo, but the force pushes her back.

A recovered Sky comes from behind. Pyrrha lifts herself in the air, in slow motion she detects Cardin planning to attack while she's airborne. Moving quickly she blocks the incoming onslaught from Cardin. Spinning on the ground she knocks both Cardin and Sky off balance before righting herself. Using Cardin as leverage she bounds off him, throwing Akouo that knocks out Cardin, and Sky as it bounced off his friend and slamming into his face as well.

"Would this be you finally getting back at Cardin for bullying and blackmailing Jaune? Cause you are going hard! Or this could just be your normal fighting energy." Sun was ecstatic as he watched Pyrrha. And Pyrrha couldn't deny that there was a small portion of fueling from when Cardin blackmailed Jaune.

Though, Pyrrha wouldn't admit that information to anyone.

Twisting in the air, Pyrrha sticks her land right on Sky's stomach, hard.

Some people in the room winced, practically feeling the pain. What makes it worse is that Pyrrha wears heeled shoes. But he should be fine, he should have enough aura left for the damage to be lessened.

She raises her head, eyeing the rest of Team CRDL that all come charging as one. Pyrrha practically body slams Russel, sending him flying backwards. Slashing Dove with Milo, she forces him back, but he retains his stability with a single backflip. Cardin comes rushing in from above, aiming to smash Pyrrha with Executioner. Pyrrha jumps back, converting Milo to its rifle form; using Akouo's design Pyrrha fires from behind it.

Russel drops down, blocking the bullets with Shortwings. He charges, using his own form of spin dash, before slamming his body weight onto Akouo, putting all the force in his feet. The sound of metal clangs as Dove and Russel attack Pyrrha at the same time. Continuously hitting from the front they quickly jump behind her as an opening for Cardin. With a yell Cardin comes swinging, Pyrrha rapidly evades from it as she shoots herself forward. Firing again Cardin avoids the bullets. Now, at the moment, becomes a one on one between Cardin and Pyrrha, the girl blocking every strike that approaches her. Cardin and Pyrrha spar with their weapons, Pyrrha winning as she forces him backwards.

"Whooooo!! Go Pyrrha!!" Ruby cheers, almost about to jump out of her seat but Weiss brings her back down. She really wanted to jump in class but, one, it would have disrupted Pyrrha's concentration, and two, Professor Goodwitch would have seriously disapproved.

The rest of Pyrrha's team wasn't faring any better, Jaune and Nora being the most vocal of the three. Pyrrha couldn't help the small blush of embarrassment from her friend's cheering.

"Break their legs!!" No one had to turn their heads to know who yelled that, and the voice of the person was very apparent. But it didn't stop a chuckle from leaving a few.

Russel emerges from under Cardin's arm, rushing it as he blindly attempted to hit Pyrrha. Avoiding all of them Pyrrha spins her weapon, as well as herself, prior to throwing Akouo, hitting Russel in the face.

With Milo having the ability to extend she swipes and stabs her opponents from a safer distance. Dove open fires, but Pyrrha prevents any of them from landing with Akouo in front of her.

Missing each of her strikes Dove easily lands on his feet, though unfortunately for Cardin to knock his own teammate down with his own weapon.

Yang honestly couldn't but chortle at the screen. "I mean, it's funny in its own way, but Cardin just brought down his own teammate."

"Guess the dude just has a really bad temper… and poor sportsmanship if he's willing to take down his own ally to win." Sun shook his head, cause if it was someone he didn't know he would just shake his head, sad they're that kind of person, but hearing the things this guy has done to Faunus and others it shouldn't be unexpected.

Cardin slams Executioner into the ground, causing a wall of fire to head straight towards Pyrrha. Flipping back Pyrrha steadies herself. Charging forward Pyrrha brings Cardin into the air with but a few strikes. Slicing him a few times she propels herself off of Akouo, swinging both Cardin and her as they get closer to the ground. Using the momentum it took to bring herself down she uses the same amount of energy to launch upward a couple of feet. Cardin comes with her but much higher before crashing to the ground as Pyrrha lands on a knee, catching Akouo as she stood up into a ready fighting stance.

The moment the fight finished the theater erupted into cheers and shouts at Pyrrha's victory. A flawless victory.

"Pyrrha, that was amazing!" Pyrrha blushed harder as the praise came from her partner. His smile lighting up the room. At least, that's what she saw anyway.

"Oh, it wasn't much," Pyrrha tried brushing off the compliment but Jaune wasn't having any of it.

"Are you kidding!? That was incredible, it was just as great as watching it for the first time!!"

"Yeah, don't sell your abilities short, you're awesome." Blake advised, as well as encouraged.

The room lit up as Cardin was holding his chest. "And that's the match," Professor Goodwitch announces as she steps onto the floor. Cardin comments that it was only a lucky shot as he falls to the ground, his voice strained as he spoke.

"Yeah, about, what, more than 30 lucky shots?" Yang laughs at her own comment, a few others joining her.

"Well done Ms. Nikos, you should have no problem qualifying for the tournament." Pyrrha thanks Professor Goodwitch for her kind words. "Alright, now I know it's a tough act to follow, but we have time for one more sparring match, any volunteers?" The camera zooms closer on Team RWBY. "Ms. Belladonna?" Professor Goodwitch calls on Blake who quickly closes the book in her lap.

Man, don't you just hate it when a teacher calls on a student who directly avoids the attention?

"You've been rather docile for the past few classes, why don't you-" Professor Goodwitch was abruptly cut off by Mercury as he raised his hand, volunteering to take Blake's place.

Ren got out his notebook and pencil, ready to write anything down.

"Mercury, is it? Very well, let's find you an opponent." Professor Goodwitch goes over her tablet before Mercury interferes again.

"Actually, I wanna fight her," Pyrrha is surprised as Mercury points to her after thinking for about two seconds, though that was more than likely just an act to keep up.

"I'm afraid Ms. Nikos has just finished a match, I recommend you choose another partner."

"No, it's fine!" Turning to Professor Goodwitch and reassuring her. She turns back to Mercury, "I'd be happy to oblige."

Mercury stepped up to the floor. He made no move in approaching her, just circled her, a confident smirk never leaving his face.

Ruby is seen excited for the match occurring, Emerald eyes her, eyebrow raising as she notices Ruby's small movements.

"So that holds some kind of importance, or else they wouldn't have shown it otherwise, so what is it?" Blake wasn't the only one to find that a little odd.

The more they tried to wrap their heads around it the more confused they became, cause there wasn't really much to go off of, just an interesting look thrown at Ruby. "My biggest bet is that it's just an observation to store for later, maybe to understand her character better?" It was a shot in the dark but it was the best they could come up with.

"Could be, but we also can't just brush it under the rug, it still holds significance." Agreeing with Weiss, Blake nodded her head. I mean, what could they do with such few details.

Emerald brought her focus back to the battle at hand. Switching from Emerald, Mercury, and Pyrrha's stone gaze; the fight commenced, Mercury being the one to make the first move. Mercury scraped his left foot against the ground, a tiny spark igniting, he then went for a roundhouse kick, but Pyrrha blocked it with Akouo. Using Milo she swiped Mercury from his feet, the boy landing on his back with a small grunt.

Spinning back on his feet he performed multiple back handsprings. He stood still as he waited for Pyrrha to be the one to move. Standing straight up, a shine glinting off of Akouo, Pyrrha lunged forward.

As Pyrrha got closer Mercury finally moved, raising his legs he goes to punt Pyrrha around the chest and head area. With each kick Pyrrha blocks, metal clanging together each from both recipients.

Finding an opening Pyrrha forces him back, one again his left foot creating small sparks as it glides against the floor. The screen wanting to very specifically depict this happening.

"What's with his feet, that's the second time that's happened." Blake grabbed the remote to slowly rewind it, and sure enough the sparks were there earlier in the fight as well as a few seconds ago. "It was also on his left foot so while we were in there we didn't even see it."

"The sparks were also very miniscule as well, I haven't noticed them either." Pyrrha added to Nora's observations.

"Not to mention all the sound that was happening when his feet came in contact with your shield. What are his feet made of metal or something?" Yang's question was meant to be a joke, but as soon as it came out of her mouth everyone was thinking it over.

"Are his feet made of metal?" Ruby asked again, but this one wasn't a rhetorical question.

They stared at the screen, knowing they would be given answers sooner rather than later. Ren brought out the notebook and wrote down near the Roman Section: 'Mercury- Feet possibly containing metal'.

Mercury let out a slight hum as if to say she wasn't bad. "Hey, your friend's doing pretty good." Ruby turned around, telling Emerald this. Emerald gave the girl a smile, but the moment Ruby turned back towards Pyrrha Emerald's face fell to one of annoyance.

Ruby honestly couldn't help the tiny pout that made its way onto her face.

Returning to the fight, Mercury brought himself into the air, rotating before coming down to land a kick. Pyrrha anticipated this, blocking his attack, but Mercury didn't relent as he launched himself from the ground to go for another high kick.

At the third one Pyrrha shot herself further away and brought Akouo right in front of her as she stayed low to the ground. Changing her handle of Milo she moved her other hand closer to the back of Akouo as Mercury came running forward with rapid kicks to her shield, pushing her back, though her stance never wavered.

Mercury repeated his tactic, and he succeeded in kicking Milo farther from Pyrrha's grasp. In slower motion Mercury raised his leg to strike a kick to the side of the head, and in that same time Pyrrha brought up her right arm to deflect. He ended up landing her wrist instead, and while this happened Mercury squinted his eyes as he seemed to take note of something. Bringing his leg back down he went for more than one roundhouse kick, this time from the right.

With another kick Milo was knocked out of Pyrrha's hands, the weapon stuck in the floor from the sheer force. Mercury smirked, thinking he had won as he went for another blow, but Pyrrha lifted her right hand, engulfed in a black aura. With a small movement his leg was thrown back. Not expecting this he lost his balance as he fell to the floor. While on the ground he gave a small smile of understanding after a moment of slight confusion.

"It's decided, some part of his leg is made of some kind of magnetic material, and I'm not talking about just the shoes he's wearing. Those are what are throwing me for a loop, but some pieces of evidence are just too much to ignore." Weiss was thinking over the little bits of evidence they have, but it could all be a misunderstanding because of his damn shoes. She's never thought a piece of footwear would be so infuriating. Well, maybe heels, but that was only the beginning of wearing them.

Ruby slowly began to rub her back, trying to get her to calm down a little, she was starting to let this seriously overwhelm her and all it was was shoes. Granted, this was information about the enemy so Ruby couldn't completely blame her.

Pyrrha's heels clacked against the ground as she rushed forward, Akouo acting as a ram as she charged. Mercury bound off Akouo with a large bang from his boots, shooting himself back as well as Pyrrha. That didn't deter her as Pyrrha came running, Milo and Akouo in their own respective hands.

Standing back up Mercury turns to Professor Goodwitch, "I forfeit." Pyrrha halts her motions with a gasp.

"You... don't even want to try?" Pyrrha's voice was full of disbelief.

Mercury gives a nonchalant shrug. "What's the point? You're a world renowned fighter, we're obviously leagues apart." Pyrrha laid a hand on her hip, clearly not believing his excuse for throwing the match.

"In that case, Pyrrha Nikos is the victor of the match, again." Emerald smiled with ill intent, Mercury doing the same. Pyrrha continued to eye him with suspicion.

"I knew my odd feeling was right when he randomly gave up in the middle of the fight." Nora's arms were crossed as she looked at the Mercury on screen.

"I'm pretty sure we all had an off feeling, but none of us had the urge to address it," Ren spoke as he wrote down more information for Mercury.

Up at the front of the room, virtual banners glowed their respective colors, green for Pyrrha and red for Mercury. "Next time you might want to think a little harder before choosing an opponent." Mercury raised his hand as he told Professor Goodwitch that he'll keep that in mind.

The bell rang, signaling the end of class. The loud beep itself waking Blake right up as she turned and looked at her team. Professor Goodwitch reminded the class of the upcoming dance as well as their first mission on Monday.

Blake's friends frown as they see the visible bags under her eyes. All the Torchwick and White Fang business had really brought her down. "That reminds me, what did you tell Blake?" Yang was brought out of her own worried funk as she hears the question being directed at her.

"Wait, they're not going to-" Yang pauses as Raider sends her a remorseful smile. Yang sighs as she puts her face in her hands. She loves her friends, and she trusts them, really she does, but these kinds of subjects are just hard to bring up.

Ruby put two and two together, there was only one thing that could bring down her normally energetic sister this much. She talked about mom.

Ruby got up, not before apologizing to Weiss for moving, and sat down next to her sister; both Blake and Yang welcomely made room for her to sit.

Yang was sandwiched between Blake and Ruby, the both of them bringing her into a comforting hug, though she told them she was fine. None of them believed her.

Team JNPR, Sun, and Weiss were just as confused but that didn't make them worried any less. Weiss felt she was most left in the dark, all her team knowing but her. It was obvious that Ruby already knew and that Yang told Blake herself what it was, and Yang is obviously free to share this, whatever it is, to whomever she wishes, but that didn't stop the tiny sting. It didn't help the sting from lessening when she figures out they're gonna be told against Yang's wishes.

One could make the excuse that it's part of this whole experience, but no amount of reasoning would make it okay.

It saddened Weiss it was hurting her friend this much, but the good news is that she wasn't shedding any tears. The smallest thing Weiss wants to see as an upside to this situation.

Regaining her bearings Yang was ready to continue, giving a small apology for holding up the episode, but absolutely no one was holding this against her.

Blake stood up as she continued to read from her notebook. The rest of her team walk out of the hall, Emerald waiting outside for Mercury. Emerald watches the team go, only to turn her head as Mercury meets her at the entrance. "Learning is so much fun," Mercury tells his partner with mock enthusiasm.

Team RWBY made their way out of the hall, Blake lagging behind as she pursued her reading. "Hey, uh, Blake! You, uh, doing okay?" Sun came running up to her, grabbing her shoulder to turn her around. Blake was clearly not in the best mood and showed with her response, telling Sun she was fine.

"Usually when a girl says they're not fine, it means the exact opposite, and far from it." Blake didn't know whether to feel happy or worried that her partner was bouncing back so quickly, her sulk gone as she made the joke. Blake was leaning more towards the latter of her assumption.

"Yeah, people learn the answer to that the hard way." With Jaune having 7 sisters he knew what some of the subtext was to a few couple of phrases.

Sun gives himself a second to clear his throat now that he has Blake's attention. "So, I hear there's this dance going on this weekend, pssh, sounds pretty lame, but you and me I'm thinking not as lame, huh?"

"Even the most naive would understand that you picked the worst possible moment to ask." Sun didn't have to hear the Ice Queen say this to understand that, yeah, he picked a pretty bad time. In hindsight he should have noticed her recent behaviors.

Blake's response was that of slight disbelief. "The dance, this weekend, you wanna go or what?" Sun made the question a little more clear. Blake is honest, telling him she doesn't have time for a stupid dance, expecting Sun to know that out of all people.

Ruby frowns as she looks over to a rejected Sun.

"Sun, I'm sorry." Said boy looked down at the girl. "I'm sorry for coming off incredibly harsh, I'm glad I went to the dance. With both of you. And I have you to thank the most." Yang looked towards her partner, eyes going wide for a single moment.

"Hey, I get it, you were pretty sleep deprived and not in the right mind. I should have seen the signs, we're all good." Sun easily brushed off her apology, telling Blake that everything was alright, but Blake wasn't having it.

"No, it's not alright, I let my thoughts get the better of me and I shouldn't have lashed out at you like I did." But again, Sun reassured her that everything was cool.

"You what!?" Blake screeched, Team RWBY were back in their dorm, the outside showing it was nighttime. Yang was sitting on Blake's bed with her while Weiss and Ruby were on the former's.

Ruby insists that Blake goes to the dance with them. Blake cries that the suggestion is ridiculous, but none of them relent, Yang informing Blake they're worried about her, telling her the investigation is getting into her head.

"You can't sleep, you hardly eat, and to be honest your grades have been suffering." Weiss recounts all of Blake's changes due to her obsession. The girl herself yelling, thinking that she's worried about her own grades? People's lives are at stake! She throws out her hand, gesturing towards the dorm window.

"We know, and we're all still trying to figure out what Torchwick is up to." Yang gently brings Blake's hand back down to the bed.

"Thanks to you and Sun we know they're operating somewhere outside of Southeast Vale." Ruby looks to the bright side of everything going down. Weiss does the same as she adds that SDC records singled out Vale as the primary target for dust robberies over the last few months.

"See, we might not have everything figured out, but we have a nice lead to start with, and thanks to all this we'll get a behind the scene look and more on what they're up to. We're going to take down Torchwick, but we need to take it one step at a time." Yang reiterated the same point she told Blake before: they're going to do this, but they're going to take it easy and slow.

"Don't forget about their missing military tech too," Yang adds with a dull voice. Blake reminds them that there are still unanswered questions.

"Blake, you won't be able to find anything if you can't even keep your eyes open." Ruby prompts to Blake with a soft tone.

"All we're asking is that you take it easy for one day." Yang punctuates the last two words with small pauses, making sure she gets her point across. Weiss tells Blake it will be fun, that she and Yang will make sure of it. Yang bounces on the bed in excitement, "Yeah! We're planning the whole event!"

"Excuse me?" Blake, irritated, about what she just heard.

"Team CFVY's away mission lasted longer than expected." Yang finished for Weiss as she told Blake that they were asked to pick up where they left off.

"What I find interesting is the fact that they asked two people, who are polar opposites, to finish the rest of a party." In hindsight it was a little odd to ask that of them, but it was expected as there were bumps in the road as they finished preparing the dance. No one disagreed with Pyrrha, cause I mean, who was, Yang found it a little funny to say the least.

"And now we can make sure you have the perfect night!" Yang sends Blake finger guns as the girl in question gives her a look. Weiss explains that once it's all over all of them will return to their search, rested and ready.

"So, what do you think?" Ruby asks, everyone turning towards Blake, anticipating her answer.

There was a small pause before Blake actually spoke. "I think this is all a colossal waste of time." Blake gets up from her bunk and heads to the door, before exiting she tells her teammates that she'll be in the library.

Blake wishes that she wasn't so cold towards them, they were only trying to help, but she went and pushed them away.

As Blake shuts the door behind her Yang lets out a sigh. "She can't keep going like this," Weiss says. Not even a second later a knock is heard at the door.

Jaune groaned as he brought his hands up to cover his face. Just like Sun he came at a very bad time. Weiss sighed herself as she remembered this whole event. "Why me?" Jaune's voice was muffled by his hands.

All of them look towards the door, Weiss being the one to open it. Her face shows surprise when she opens the door. Yang's was the same as Weiss, but Ruby held an expression full of intrigue.

"Weiss!" Jaune strummed the strings, giving the girl a wink. The door was quickly shut in his face. Jaune knocked on the door with a whine, asking for Weiss to open the door as she pinched the bridge of her nose, exasperated. A moment of silence goes by, Jaune promises he won't sing. Weiss took pity on him and opened the door again. "I lied!" Jaune strummed again.

Raider was doing a poor job of hiding her laughter, letting small wheezes escape as she found utter amusement in Jaune attempting to win Weiss over. The boy in question pouting as he could clearly hear her behind him.

"Weiss Schnee… will you accompany me… to the dance on… Sunday!" Jaune had to pause as he had to recall the day the dance took place.

Though it was for another girl, Pyrrha found the whole gesture sweet. Jaune takes the time out of his day to make a small little song for Weiss. If only he could have done that for me

"Are you done?" Weiss asks, the boy awkwardly tells her 'yes'. "No," honest and to the point Weiss shuts the door in his face once more.

"It's one thing to hear it but it's another thing to actually see it," Nora's expression was that of a wince as she looked at the screen. Ren wasn't looking that much different.

Weiss's arms were crossed as her eyes were closed. Opening them again she finally notices the looks her friends have been giving. "What?"

"And that is why they call you 'The Ice Queen'," Yang states. Next to her Ruby looks over to her sister, realizing the stance they both took. Ruby herself falling to the floor.

"All my life, boys have only cared about the perks of my last name. Besides, I already have a date in mind."

An unloyal player, Ruby rolled her eyes, a stinging taste left on her tongue. A few moments later her eyes widened, Neptune's her friend! He's a nice guy, why is she thinking of him so negatively?

"Ruby, you okay?" Ruby's mind froze as she turned to her sister, who was giving her a worried look. Yang took notice of Ruby's uncharacteristic behavior.

Not wanting to fret her sister over some unimportant turmoil, "Everything's great! Why wouldn't it be?" Yang eyed her sister, clearly not buying it, but if Ruby wasn't ready to talk about it she wasn't going to pressure her to.

"Date or no date, none of this will matter if we can't get Blake to go." Everyone stares at Ruby downtrodden as they listen.

The camera zooms in through the window, Milo and Crocea Mors crash together with a clang, revealing Jaune and Pyrrha to be training on the rooftops.

Jaune stares at Pyrrha, thinking he's got her beat, but the woman smirks as she slides her legs from under him, leaving Jaune to fall on his butt.

Pyrrha giggles as she puts Milo away. "Well done, your swordplays improved immensely."

"Couldn't have done it without you." As Jaune stands up he brushes some of the dust off himself. Pyrrha asks if he's ready to move on to aura. "I'm actually thinking maybe we just skip aura tonight, might go on a jog or something." Jaune attempts to push away the idea, but Pyrrha persists.

"Come on, I know you get frustrated, but you must keep trying, I'm sure we'll discover your semblance any day now."

"Wait, do I ever figure out what my semblance is?" Jaune rapidly turns to Raider.

Jaune was beyond excited when Raider confirmed that, yes, he would find out what his semblance is. "Oh, what is it? How did I bring it out? What triggered it?" Jaune continued to ask questions that are best saved for when he actually sees it. Besides, telling him what triggered it will definitely cause some trauma for a certain girl. And spoilers.

"You'll just have to wait." Jaune pouted as he heard this, turning back around in his seat, Pyrrha giving him comforting rubs on the back.

Trust me, it will be worth the wait. All good things come to those who wait.

"That's not it, it's just… it's dumb."

The fact you believe your own feelings are dumb hurts me Jaune, everyone's feelings matter. None of them are dumb or stupid.

"What is it? Jaune, you know you can tell me." Pyrrha places a comforting hand on his shoulder. Jaune finally admits that it's about Weiss, Pyrrha's demeanor falls but she quickly covers it up. "What about her?"

"I asked her to the dance and she shot me down, heh, big surprise, right?"

"Well, I believe the saying goes, 'there's plenty of fish in the sea'."

All of Team RWBY's eyes widen as they finally understand. Pyrrha liked Jaune. And Jaune was telling Pyrrha, who liked him, about another girl he wanted to go to the dance with. They couldn't imagine how much it hurt Pyrrha.

Here she was putting on a fake smile for him as he spoke, but also subtly dropping tiny hints.

Jaune noticed Pyrrha's sudden change, but he doesn't know what caused it. Was it because of something with the dance? Did someone else make her sad?

Does it have to do with me?

"That's easy for you to say, you probably got guys clambering over each other just to ask you out." A small chuckle comes from Pyrrha, telling him he'd be surprised.

"Oh please, if you don't get a date to the dance, I'll wear a dress." Jaune laughs to himself at the notion as he makes his way back inside.

Pyrrha watches him go, facade faltering, her expression heartbroken.

It was me, but what did I do? Was it something I said? It had to be, but I only talked about my troubles with Weiss. Was she sad because she had to hear about my issues? Maybe.

"And lastly, Pyrrha Nikos." Emerald goes over a list of students to Cinder. Mercury was laying on the ground next to her, Cinder herself sitting on one of the beds.

"Ah, the invincible girl." Cinder comments as Emerald reads the name.

"She's smart, but I wouldn't say invincible." Mercury doesn't look up from the comic he was reading. Cinder insists he continue with interest.

"Her semblance is polarity, but you'd never know just by watching." Emerald begins explaining.

Mercury threw his comic down as he sat up, "After she made contact with my boots she was able to move them around however she wanted, but she only made slight adjustments."

"Hmm, so it was just his boots that were completely metal. Guess we were overthinking a tad bit, can't be too sure, anything can go with them." Weiss sighed to herself while Ren pulled out the notebook and specifically wrote that his legs aren't metal, just that his boots were heavily coated.

"Just enough to make it look like she's untouchable, she doesn't broadcast her powers so it puts her opponents at a disadvantage." Cinder hums to herself, considering Emerald's words.

"Hm, people assume she's fated for victory, when she's really taken fate into her own hands. Interesting, add her to the list," Cinder smirks as Emerald does so, her scroll beeping as it registered her.

"You should be able to take her no problem." Cinder explains to Mercury that it's not about overpowering the enemy, it's about taking away what power they have. Cinder tells them both that they will, in time.

"God I hate her so much." Raider grumbles to herself, wanting to say more but refusing to do so.

"We understand she's a villain, but what does she do that makes you hate her so much?" Ruby is the one to ask, her face so innocent.

"You'll know in due time, but at least you'll be able to stop her. Hopefully." The last word was quiet, no one quite understanding her vague message.

What happened, and what does she mean by that? Do they not defeat her? Stop her from doing what?!

Mercury falls back to the ground, his hands resting behind his head. "I hate waiting."

"Don't worry Mercury, we have a fun weekend ahead of us." The screen focuses on the sewing needle that Cinder holds between her fingers.

And with that the screen goes black, rolling into the credits of the episode.

"Pyrrha, was it something I said?" Jaune immediately asks, wanting to rectify whatever he did that made Pyrrha sad.

"Oh! Jaune, it's nothing," Surprised Pyrrha attempts to deflect his worries, but Jaune wasn't going to back down so easily.

"No, something I did hurt you, and I want to fix it. I want to make it right, I want to help."

"Well that's a bit of a stretch," Blake elbowed Yang in the side as she heard her mumbling, the girl in question letting out a small yelp.

Pyrrha was touched by his persistence, but the situation wasn't as easy as that. "Jaune, really, you don't have to worry about it."

"Pyrrha, you're my partner, and I want to do whatever I can to help, so please, you need to tell me what's going on." She loved him, but she wasn't ready to tell him that.

"Jaune!" The boy turned his head, and was slightly shocked to be met with a stern expression from Raider. Her look told him to drop it, but he didn't want to, he needed to fix what he started. He went to open his mouth but Raider's eyes hardened, daring him to speak.

Jaune lets out a breath of air, this is clearly something that shouldn't be pressed further. Pyrrha will tell him when she's ready.

A/N: Hello, another chapter, I know. It's summer so I got a bit more time on my hands. This isn't that long of a note, but I hope you liked it. Um, what else is there to say? Oh, Happy Pride Month! I hope you all have a good day and stay tuned for the next chapter or few. Bye!
