"Let's do this!" Yang shouts, having random good feelings that she honestly has know idea where they came from. Something about this next episode just put her in a pumped mood. And I guess it's also a nice distraction from the previous episode with Coco and Yatushashi's loss.

Yang was the type of person who could liven up any room if she tried, and this was one of those moments as everyone began to feel a bit more light-hearted, having the slightest bit of optimism in them that this episode will turn out different.

It didn't take long for some to follow. Nora. The room became filled up with hype for an episode they don't even know what's going to happen in and the episode hadn't even started yet either.

(Volume 3 Intro)

In the middle of a battle, Russel was running away from the current blasts targeted at him. His opponents were Penny and Ciel.

"Penny!" Another moment that brought the mood to something happier as Ruby shouted for her friend, immediately going to cheer her on.

Penny's blades wield into a circle before she throws them, the ends getting stuck in the rock that Russel chose to hide behind to get away from the attack. Throwing another set at Sky, the boy does the same thing. The two give each other a look and Penny smiles in victory as she turns to her friend; Ciel taps her rest, telling her they're on a tight schedule.

She reminds me of Weiss, Ruby thinks to herself, tilting her head cutely to the side.

Smiling once more, using the strings attached to the blades the boys are brought into the air. Penny throws her hands down and the boulders come crashing down on them, winning the fight as Penny's blades return to her.

"Yeah, Penny!" Ruby yells once more in excitement for her friend's flawless victory.

"And victory goes to Penny and Ciel of Atlas!" Dr. Oobleck announces as Penny bows respectfully to her opponents.

It was no less than satisfying to see Team CRDL get put in their place, especially for Team JNPR as they smiled smugly at the screen.

"Thank you for a wonderful time," Penny thanks the boys before turning away. As Russel brings an arm up, his head gets smacked with a remaining rock, knocking him back to the ground.

"How fast do you think the fight was?" Yang asked with a smirk.

"Gotta be at least five minutes, there's no way the two would have lasted long with Penny on the field." Nora was feeling just as confident and happy as shown by her wide smile and crossed arms.

In the stands Team RWBY sat, watching. As soon as the fight was done, Ruby flew from her seat to go congratulate her friend.

"Penny!" The girl turned around with a gasp of Ruby's name before charging and taking her to the ground.

Ruby herself could just feel how much that would have hurt, but she also knew she wouldn't have cared that much.

Penny introduces the girl in front of her as her teammate, and the girl herself actually gives her name, Ciel Soleil.

Before Ruby could do her part of the introduction, Ciel cut her off. "Ruby Rose, 15, from Vale, Patch; leader of Team RWBY, status…questionable."

Some found it a little off putting that she knew all that information.

Ruby didn't hide her skepticism, "Soooo, Penny, you two were incredible out there! HOw do you keep control of all those swords? It is so cool-" Ruby was once again cut off.

"Penny, I believe it is best if we move on to our next location." Looking back at her watch. Penny asks if they could have a single minute to talk. Her wish is granted but Ciel doesn't go far, only taking a few large steps back.

"Is it just me or is she reminding me a bit of Weiss?" The girl in question screeched as she huffed at Yang.

No one was going to confirm nor deny, but nothing had to be said, it was pretty obvious.

"So, is she…your friend or…?"

"Well, in a way, she's like Blake, but if Blake was ordered to spend time with you."

"Oh, so Weiss."

"Precisely."

A few couldn't help the tiny snorts they let out from Ruby's comment.

"Hey!" Weiss really couldn't help it, even though deep down she knew Ruby and Penny had a point.

"Does she know about…you know… beep boop bop, does not compute." Penny shook her head, knowing exactly what Ruby was referring to, telling Ruby that General Ironwood doesn't want anyone to know about her secret.

"What's with the arm?" Sun asked out of pure curiosity.

"I'm guessing it has to do with an unhinged arm, though I don't feel why it was that necessary." Weiss explained in a more smart way than Ruby was about to; the girl was just going to tell the boy 'a robot thing', hoping he'd take it.

"There was an incident with a magnet, but I was able to play it off."

Next to Ciel, Penny wore a large sunhat, but it was caught in the wind, lifting it up and showing the magnet stuck to her hair. As Penny put it, playing it off, she simply just quickly dragged the hat back down and gave Ciel a smile as she turned her head.

Did that really count as playing it off? I guess it did, she avoided any confrontation from Ciel.

Both girls laughed at the memory of it. "Ruby, there's something I've been wanting to talk to you about," Penny looks over to Ciel who is still looking at her timer, "I want to stay at Beacon."

"Penny, they'll never let you do that," Ruby replies with a frown.

"I know, but I have a plan." Ciel walks back over to them, telling them that it has been precisely one minute.

"I'll talk to you more soon Ruby," The girls give each other a smile and wave as they say goodbye to each other.

"Our next match will begin in 15 minutes!" Professor Port shouts over the microphone.

Ruby immediately perks up with excitement. "Oh my gosh that's right, it's time for-" Ruby is cut off as Yang and Weiss stand on the battlefield.

"Yeah, Team Freezerburn!" Yang yells with her fist pumping into the air. Yang knew she had a good feeling about this episode, and this must have been the reason why.

"Yeah! Go Yang, Weiss, I believe in you!" Though the fight hadn't begun yet, it was never too late for Ruby to encourage her best friend and sister.

"Let's annihilate this Weiss!" Yang continues, pounding both of her fists together.

"Well, now it's our turn," Yang stretches her arms as she speaks to Weiss.

"Just remember to keep proper form."

Yang lets out a tiny scoff, "Alright. You're from Atlas, what can we expect?"

"Well, seeing as their kingdom, academy, and armed forces are all merged as one, I think we can expect strict, militant fighters with advanced technology and carefully rehearsed strategies." A burst of rainbow zooms behind Weiss and Yang, appearing in front of the two. "Orrr whatever they are."

To say Weiss was not expecting those two would be an understatement. No one really was for that matter.

"Well….I appreciate the diversity, especially from Atlas." Weiss was more specifically referring to the Faunus, Neon. Atlas is the farthest thing from kind to their community.

Weiss turns her attention back when Flynt tries to grab her attention. "Hey, you're Weiss Schnee, right? The heiress." Weiss confirms that she is the heiress and Flynt goes on, "I take it you're pretty good with dust then." Weiss replies that she tries her best with it.

Weiss's eyes narrowed, wondering where the guy was going with this.

"Yeah, my dad was good too, owned a little dust shop of his own. 'Til your father's company ran him out of business."

Oh, Weiss didn't know why she expected anything else. She knew there were a lot of people who hated her father and the way he ran the Schnee business.

"Okay, so he's got some beef," Sun states the obvious.

Weiss voices that she's sorry to hear that, and heer tone shows that she was being genuine. Though, Flynt didn't take it that way and brushed her aside. Yang was in the middle of defending Weiss before she was rudely cut off by Neon. "'Hey, why don't you-'. That's what you sound like."

Raider rubbed her hands together, this was her favorite fight.

Yang clenched and unclenched one of her fists, a little annoyed as she reminded her of a stereotypical younger sibling, like ages 5-9.

Yang rubbed the back of her head. "Hey, where did you get your hair extensions?" Yang tells her that that's just her normal hair, "Oooh, really?" Neon made it sound like she didn't believe her.

"Yeah, is that a-"

Yang was cut off once more, "You should try rollerblading sometime, it's super fun. It'd probably take a while though since you're so, y'know, top heavy."

All stared at the screen wide eyed. And speaking of eyes, Yang's eyes twitched as her focus was unwavering, looking at the screen lightlipped.

Ruby picked up quickly on what the girl was trying to do, and it started to work pretty well.

"Excuse me?!" Ruby shook her head as she knew where this would lead. The domains appeared and Weiss and Yang stood ready. Professor Port gave the countdown, and Yang and Weiss dropped their guard slightly, confused as Flynt and Neon gave one another a look.

The moment the battle started Flynt began to play from his trumpet. Yang and Weiss had a hard time keeping balance, but Weiss was able to stabilize herself with a glyph. Yang wasn't so lucky as Neon ran into her, throwing her back.

Flynt and Weiss stood before each other. Flynt made the first move, playing again, but Weiss anticipated it and placed down multiple gravity glyphs that helped her stay on the ground as Flynt continued to blast her. Slowly, she made her way to him. Once it stopped Weiss rushed forward, though Flynt sidestepped her and kicked her into the lava domain.

Yang was chasing Neon, shooting at her, but missing as she moved too fast. The girl taunted her as bound off each broken building, mumbling to herself to never miss a beat.

Weiss and Yang piled that information for when the tournament came. She set herself a tempo to follow, so the only thing to do is to attune themselves to it and follow her rhythm.

Neon repeatedly hit Yang back and forth, and when she finally stopped Yang was able to reload her gauntlets.

Neon cracks both of her glow stick nunchucks, making them turn a light neon blue. In the blink of an eye Yang's right leg is encased in ice as Neon skated past her. Yang looks down at her leg, and Neon giggles, "Look, now you're bottom heavy too." She finishes by slapping her butt to emphasize her point.

This Faunus was seriously starting to get on Yang's nerves. If her constant fist clenching wasn't any indication, the color of her irises flickering red was a dead giveaway.

The ice was easily broken as Yang stomped her foot, but Neon didn't stop as her left arm became covered in ice. Neon skids across the railings, bending under broken debris, then coming back with speed as she knocks Yang into a nearby wall.

"You should cool off. Get it? Because you're angry."

Yang was normally one for jokes, but this girl was testing her patience. Y'know what, her patience had more than likely run dry and she was trying to keep some semblance of composure.

Ugh, now I feel like Weiss.

"Not what I was expecting for her to take the joke, I thought it was going to be because of the ice." The 'joke' could have been taken two ways: the obvious one was that Yang was pissed off, the second being her arm was in ice.

Right now, with Sun, is what one would call a dumb blond moment.

Pissed, Yang didn't blink an eye as the wall behind her was destroyed by the power of her arm.

Weiss spun and created small glyphs that shot ice. Flynt smirked as he got on his knees and played, blowing the erupting lava towards Weiss, melting the ice. "Too bad all that money can't buy you skill."

Taking great offense to that, Weiss spun Myrtenaster, creating her own blast of wind to counter his. Glyphs surround him, shooting shards of ice as well as circling Weiss around him.

Flynt plants his foot, creating three more of him, multiplying his power, and roughly throwing Weiss back.

Weiss was definitely piling this for later when the fight came.

Professor Port asks on what is happening on the field below. "It appears young Flynt has just activated his semblance, and quite a remarkable one at that. Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on Flynt Coal's killer quartet!" Flynt looks up at the aura board, and slowly walks forward with confidence, reeling his triples back in.

"Oh, flashy eyes, you know you're actually kinda pretty when you're angry." Yang's eyes fade back to their original lilac as she shouts for Neon to just shut up!

And hot…. Blake's ears perk up and her eyes widen as she wonders where the fuck that thought just came from. She aggressively gets it out of her head as it was very persistent and focuses her attention back to the fight at hand. She should be having her full attention as it's both of her friends' fight.

Weiss reaches for Myrtenaster but Flynt steps on it, keeping it from her reach. "I wasn't saying you should go on a diet, I was saying you really need to go on a diet." Neon informs an enraged Yang, circling around her.

"That. Is. It! That girl is dead when I get my hands on her!!" Yang shouts as she's finally had enough of the utterly annoying Faunus.

Basically everyone winced at Neon's final comment. That's the straw that broke the camel's back.

Both Blake and Ruby tried to calm her down, and it worked, but to a fault.

"That's it!!" Yang shouts out of pure and utter frustration. Flynt smirks as his attention is now on Yang. Weiss raises her head as Flynt has a clean shot. With the last of her strength, Weiss pushed both of them into the erupting geyser.

"Weiss!" All in the room shout, except for Weiss herself as she felt internally proud of herself. They were thinking the same thing. She was going to sacrifice herself for Yang.

"Weiss, are you okay?!" Ruby shouts as she looks Weiss over, thinking the Weiss in the present was just as hurt as she was on screen.

"Ruby, I'm fine, and I'm sure my counterpart is okay as well," Weiss rubbed her temples. It took Ruby a second that the Weiss now was fine and blushed profusely in embarrassment.

Yang looks over confused. In the stands both Ruby and Blake shout for the girl. "It appears we have a double knockout on our hands!" Professor Port exclaims.

"In fact, it looks as though Miss Schnee's aura has been completely depleted. She sacrificed herself to take out Flynt. Wait a minute…what's this?!"

Flynt stumbles but he remains standing.

"What the fuck?!?!" Yang yells in disbelief. They would think that Weiss sacrificed herself for nothing, but if Yang can win this she'll be able to take Flynt no problem in vengeance.

"Ladies and gentleman! Flynt Coal remains standing!" A red 'X' blinks over Weiss's profile to signify her elimination.

Neon rolls over to her partner, "You did it Flynt! Don't worry about her, she's easy! But kind of annoying." The last bit was whispered but Yang more than likely heard.

"She's annoying??" Nora really wanted that girl to spend 24 hours in a room with her to see what it's like.

"Ooh, it looks like Yang's angry!" Professor Port notes. Yang's knuckles crack as her hands close into tight fists, "And you wouldn't like her when…she's upset."

Yang screams in fury, causing multiple geysers to blast out lava once her foot makes contact with the ground. Her eyes gleam red as she doesn't hesitate to fire.

"Yo Neon, go!" Flynt blasts his music, and Yang gets caught in the mix but she uses her gauntlets to stay where she is. Inside the blast both Neon and her fight. Due to both of them Yang is thrown backwards.

Each shot breaks the ground, causing Neon to swerve just to keep balance. Yang comes crashing back down onto the flat surface and runs full speed towards the musician, before propelling herself into the air.

Flynt activates his semblance as she's airborne, but it doesn't deter Yang as she uses the power of her gauntlets to get closer, and closes her hands over the bell. With a crash Flynt lays against the dirt, eliminated.

The room erupted in cheers. They knew Flynt's aurora level would give Yang an advantage. It also helped that Neon wasn't in full control over her movements.

"Finish her Yang!" Jaune yells, raising his fist.

Yang chuckles darkly, she's been waiting for this moment since the battle began.

Yang turns to Neon, who's mumbling to never miss a beat. Unfortunately, she trips over the stone, causing her to roll right into a geyser, sending her into the air, and giving Yang a clear, open shot.

Yang pumps her hand in victory as Neon explodes. The crowd cheers as Yang takes deep breaths. "Weiss!" Yang shouts as her eyes change back. Rushing over to her friend she asks if she's okay.

Weiss lets out a few coughs of smoke, "I may not be singing for a while."

Yang lets out a small laugh, "Y'know, I don't think that was proper form."

This got an eye roll from Weiss.

Weiss attempted to be sarcastic but her laughs turned into coughs. "What?! We lost, we lost?! Team FNKI lost?! That was- that was- Amazing!" Neon was devoid of color until her eyes became rainbowed stars. "Oh my gosh you guys were super, crazy, awesome! We should definitely party together sometime, right Flynt?"

"That was a gutsy move, Schnee. I dig it." Weiss earned Flynt's respect.

Ruby and Blake ran over, congratulating them.

Back in Cinder's room, Mercury was doing some push ups while Emerald was on her phone.

"Why can't we just have nice things?" Sun wonders the moment those three came on screen after Weiss and Yang's win. The question was rhetorical but Yang sadly answered that she had no clue.

Something seemed to have caught Cinder's interest, and that something just so happened to be Penny's blueprints.

Ruby froze in place but her blood boiled red. If those three did anything to her friend she doesn't know what she'll do, but it won't be pretty.

"We're just going to be making a small alteration to the plan." Emerald and Mercury give each other a look. Mercury asks what she means by that, "It means this will be even easier than we thought."

The elevator to Ozpin's office opens, revealing Qrow as he steps inside. "You know he's making you look like a fool."

"He's just…misguided," Ozpin pauses to find the appropriate word.

"Sometimes I'm not even sure he has a heart." Qrow takes a sip from the mug in his hands, surprising that it isn't his canteen. "So, have you chosen your guardian yet?"

"Maidens, choose themselves. I simply believe I've found the right candidate. Ever since the day I met her I had a feeling she would be the one; she's strong, intelligent, caring, but most importantly, she's ready." As Ozpin went over her attributes, Pyrrha stepped inside the elevator that would take her up to Ozpin's office. After the doors close, the screen goes black, revealing the end credits.

Professor Ozpin wants me to be the new maiden? Pyrrha wasn't exactly what being the next maiden entailed, but she knew she would be honored to become the new maiden.
