Merry Christmas everyone and have a happy New Year!. I was thinking about doing a chapter based on Jason telling the story of his and Shrek's first Christmas that takes place after Shrek 4. Let me know in the reviews if you guys want me to go ahead and do this. I'm doing it for you guys and show thanks on how much you guys supported this story. Enjoy this chapter and enjoy your Christmas.
Chapter Three: (I just Started Eating)
Shrek sighed in defeat after saying the wrong thing to say towards his in-laws. He wished that he delivered a better first impression just like his son and…his engaged girlfriend. After finally breaking the awkwardness and having the wild silence, Shrek and the others entered the famous Far Far Away castle and it looks beyond imaginable then what neither Shrek nor Jason can think. Lillian guided the four to their rooms while Herald went somewhere to process all of this with an obvious hint that he doesn't approve any of this. Lillian takes them to a flight of stairs to where one of the rooms is located. The same first level floor where Fiona's old room is.
"My old room!." Fiona happily spoke when seeing her old sign with both words on front and back hanging on the door that she made when she was a little girl. "And my old sign is still here!."
Lillian chuckled at her daughter's enthusiasm. "Me and your Father have left your room exactly how you left it."
"Aw, thanks, Mom." Fiona hugged her mother. "This truly makes my homecoming very special."
Lillian happily hugged her daughter back. "I feel the same, Fiona." She pulls back. "You and Shrek settle in. One of the servants will inform you to come down to the dinner room as soon as our celebration meal is about to be served. Your luggage is already inside."
"Of course." Fiona pulls Shrek while opening her door. "Come on, Shrek, let me show you around my old room."
"Alright, Fiona." Shrek answered while not showing any self disappointment.
Once Fiona closes the door to her room, Jason and Goldi follow Lillian to the end of the hallway where there is a nice long portrait of a group of gunmen hunters hunting foxes. Lillian turned to look at her grandson and former criminal future granddaughter with a warm smile.
"Here is your room, kids." Lillian opens the double doors.
Lillian led the way inside as Jason and Goldi entered the room and were astonished. The room has nice smooth marble floors with the walls having gold and brown wallpaper with neat designs, along with a nice size fireplace and a nice king-sized bed that matches the theme of the room.
"Wow, this is very royal." Jason looked at his blonde haired British accent girlfriend. "Don't you think so, Goldi?."
Goldi nodded, taking in the grandeur. "It's definitely a room fit for a princess and her prince." She winked at him playfully.
Jason's cheeks tinged with a hint of red, unsure how to react. The weight of his new family's expectations felt heavier in this unfamiliar place. He looked around the room, spotting the large windows that offered a breathtaking view of the kingdom.
"This place is huge, and the view is amazing!" Jason exclaimed, trying to break the tension with a genuine smile. "I can see the whole landscape of Far Far Away from here."
Lillian nodded in agreement. "It's one of the best views in the castle. I hope you both feel right at home here."
Once Lillian left the two began to unpack their stuff. Jason put his clothes in their proper place while Goldi put hers away as well. Once everything is put away the two relaxed on the nice light blue long cushion couch with Jason looking over the Far Far Away pamphlet for tourists to plan out which location he would want to go first thing the in morning in nunbric rank, while Goldi is laying the back of her head on his lap looking up at the ceiling with deep thoughts. Goldi sighed about her failed attempt at getting in Shrek's good graces in order for him to accept her into his family. During the ride to Far Far Away wasn't as pleasant with her making any conversations with Shrek, despite putting up with the pain in the rear annoying talking donkey.
Goldi sighed sadly. "Your Dad doesn't approve of me."
Jason's focus was broken when she spoke. He responded while still having his eyes on the thick pamphlet. "Come again?."
Goldi sat up and looked at him. "You know... your Dad. He's obviously not happy that I'm here with you."
"What ever gave that away?." Jason flips another page on his pamphlet.
Goldi smirks, "I just know, okay?. Plus, he barely talked to me the whole carriage ride here."
Jason read the information on the paper while continuing to talk to his girlfriend. "You have to understand, Goldi. My Dad didn't have anyone in his life before I came along. He was miserable and very lonely. He told me that I was a blessing when I was left on the doorstep as a baby."
Goldi nodded, understanding his perspective. "Yeah, I get that. But it's not like I'm here to take you away from him. I just want to be part of your family, and for him to accept me."
Jason put the pamphlet aside and took her hand. "Don't worry. I know he'll come around. He's just protective. Plus, he's having a hard time adjusting to the change. Give him time. Me and Dad have been used to our basic routine and staying in our area."
Goldi leaned into him. "I just don't want to cause any trouble with him. I thought I would never find love. Heck, I never thought that any boy would want me. A wanted criminal."
Jason pulled her closer, whispering, "You're not just any girl, Goldi. You're special. And I'll make sure Dad sees that too." He kissed her forehead gently, feeling a sense of comfort wash over them.
"You know?." Goldi lays her head on his shoulder. "It might be because I am a former criminal. I never did any good deeds in my life. I laugh at the expense of others' misery and suffering for what myself and my family do to them. I'm a horrible person."
Jason pulled her closer, wrapping his arm around her. "You're not horrible, Goldi. You're just misunderstood. And you've changed. You're kind and caring now, and that's all that matters." He kissed her forehead again.
Goldi looked up at him with a hopeful smile. "You really believe that?."
"I do. Everyone deserves to have a happily ever after. Me and Dad are living proof of it." said Jason, before handing her the pamphlet. "Now, look at the pamphlet and see what interests you and will make it our first priority of sight seeing tomorrow just for you. I'll spoil you by shopping. You love blowing away my money."
Goldi giggled at his joke. She took the pamphlet and skimmed through the pages, her eyes lighting up at the sight of a high-end shopping district. "Oh, this looks lovely!. Can we go there tomorrow?."
"Which one?. There's a bunch of shopping joints." Jason asked when seeing the pamphlet with her.
"The Golden Apple Bazaar. It's supposed to be the most popular shopping district in Far Far Away. They say you can find anything there." Goldi's eyes sparkled with excitement.
Jason nodded. "Sounds perfect. We'll make it our first stop tomorrow. Anything else that catches your blue eyes?."
Goldi looked over the pamphlet again, her gaze lingering on an illustration of a grand castle. "What's this?."
"Oh, that is..." Jason looks at the index section. "That is the castle of illusions. It's a museum of illusions where you see stuff and give you the illusion of it."
Goldi's interest grew. "Illusions?. That sounds like a fun place to visit."
Jason points at a nice spot with a steaming smooth rock. "And this is the uppity spa. We should definitely go. In my research this place has the best warm bubbling water spa pool and sauna that will relax all of your muscles. Along with having the top professional licensed massage therapist."
Goldi's eyes grew wide with excitement. "Wow, that sounds heavenly. Can we go there after the Bazaar?."
"Of course. We'll make it a whole day trip." Jason leaned back into the couch, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement for the upcoming dinner with his family.
He knew the real test would be when everyone sat down at the dinner table, especially with his grandfather's stern gaze on not only them but to his father as well. He noticed how the King looked when they entered inside. The elderly man looked very displeased in seeing the ones responsible for rescuing his only daughter. While Jason and Goldi were discussing their planned outing both before and after the ball, Fiona was showing Shrek around her room in every single detail with such excitement that she hasn't shown this much since being free from the Dragon's Keep.
"And over here is where I draw my drawings and put them in a secret compartment." Fiona went to the part of the floor in the down left corner.
Shrek watches her get on her knees while putting her hands on the floor while moving around the tiles. "Wait...is that a complicated puzzle lock mechanism?."
Fiona giggled. "No, just a simple pressure point system. Watch." She presses down on a tile and the bookshelf beside it swings open, revealing a hidden compartment filled with her childhood drawings. "See?. Nothing too fancy, just a secret spot where I used to hide from the Royal tutor."
Shrek chuckled, feeling a pang of nostalgia. "Well, I guess everyone needs a place to escape sometimes."
Fiona nodded when grabbing her old drawings. "Uh, huh, I hid from my tutor when she wanted me to do school work. I wanted to have a relaxing outgoing day."
Shrek took a look at her drawings with a gentle smile. "These are amazing, Fiona. You had a talent for art even back then."
"Aw, thanks, honey." Fiona looked at one of them. "It's a gift."
Shrek leaned over to get a better look. It was a crude but earnest drawing of a dragon breathing fire. "Huh, you might give our son a run for his money."
Fiona giggled. "I don't know about that."
Shrek is enjoying the moment of stress and anxiety-free before the coming dinner is quite underway, and it will be an uneasy one since giving the reaction of absolutely everyone. Fiona noticed the look on Shrek's face and knew what was on her man's man.
Fiona places her arm around him before giving her love warming smile. "Don't worry about dinner, Shrek. It would be just us, Jason, Goldi, Donkey and my parents. No one outside the castle is going to chase us out with torches and pitchforks. We're good."
Shrek managed to break a smile. "Okay, Fiona."
Before anyone can do anything else they hear the door being knocked. Fiona answers it and sees that one of the servants has come up to inform them that dinner is on the way. Along with Jason and Goldi, Shrek and Fiona followed the servant to the dining room which is just two minutes away from their rooms. Upon the servant opening the double doors to let them enter, the four sees the incredibly large dining room with a nice super large sized fireplace with a stuffed golden eagle hanging above it. The whole room looked very lavishly royal with a nice fair sized long polished brown table that had different types of silverware for certain dishes.
Harold and Lillian had already arrived and were waiting for them to get here. The seating arrangement was kinda bumpy since the available seats had name cards on them. Shrek sees his name on the end and takes his seat facing his father in-law, who is looking at him with a stink eye. Feeling the need to act civil, Shrek pulls out the same smile that he used when meeting them. Harold, however, remained the same. Jason had a decent seating spot as his chair is between his grandmother and father. Despite Lillian having a warm smile and motions him to sit, Jason was still processing the reality that he has been officially labeled as a prince with the golden kingdom status. Jason complied and took his seat. He looked at Lillian who had a warm smile when looking at him. He then looks at Harold who is still eyeing his father with the same look before sighing.
Out of all their seating arrangements, Goldi has a half and half good spot since she is sat between Fiona and Harold. Unlike the nervousness and uneasiness that is coming from Shrek and Jason, Goldi kept her composer and remembered what her book of royal manners and how to act like a princess has told her. Without anyone telling her she grabs her fancy white folded cloth napkin and places it on her lap. She gave Jason a quick eye motion to tell him to do the same before he complied.
Then from the back which is the royal kitchen, the head chef came out and spoke with such energy and excitement to serve the completed royal family of Far Far Away.
"Ah, good evening, my royal family, it is very good to be serving the best meal that myself and top cooks will be serving you on tonight." He spoke.
Lillian smiled and nodded. "Thank you, Chef Gromit. What is on tonight's menu?."
Chef Gromit, a squat and jovial man, with a chef's hat perched atop his head, beamed proudly. "We have prepared a feast worthy for...well for you all of course!. For starters, we have the famous chef salad, followed by our fun mini dry drizzled garlics. Then have the signature onion soup that's been simmering since dawn, and for the main course, an all main feast dish with the lights of roasted turkey, pig, raw blue salmon, fresh fondue, and so much that I just can't list them off the top of my head, my queen!."
Lillian nodded. "That sounds lovely."
Without a moment, a few servants came and sat down each bowl of chef salads in front of them. Jason looked at the salad before looking at multiple silverware laid out in front of him. Shrek is looking at his silverware with the same look as his son. Fiona still remembers the usual royal fancy manners and grabbed the salad fork as Goldi did the same. Jason and Shrek followed their lead and went to eat their first appetizer of the night. Lillian ate her salad while eyeing her husband who is eating the salad but is staring at Shrek. She can see that he is still upset at the harsh reality of them not getting what they wanted when Fiona returned home. Yet, Lillian is still grateful by default. She decided to make small talk at the table.
"So, Grandson, I just finished my current book and will be starting to read your book after dinner." Lillian spoke when turning to the teen.
"Oh, uh, that is nice to hear, your majesty." Jason told before taking another bite of his salad.
"Oh, darling, you don't have to be so formal and call me queen or highness. Just call me Grandma." said Lillian, before adding some seasoning to her salad.
Jason, caught off guard, swallowed the mouthful he had taken. "But...Grandma, it's a sign of respect for royalty," he replied tentatively.
Lillian chuckled lightly. "Yes, and it is appreciated, but here, in our private quarters, we are a family. No need for formalities." She winked at him.
Jason obeyed right away and then resumed working on eating his salad. "Yes, Grandma."
Lillian then turns her sights to Goldi. "The same goes to you, young lady. Since you are going to one day marry my grandson, then you might as well call me Grandma as well."
Goldi, feeling a bit nervous, nodded. "Okay, Grandma Lillian." She replied with a small smile. "Mind if I call you just Nana?. I'm British."
Lillian's eyes widened for a brief moment before she burst into laughter. "Nana it is, dear. Now, let us not let this delightful salad grow warm."
Goldi nodded with a smile. "Of course."
Seeing that no one else is going to make a new conversation, Lillian went to make another one and hoped everyone would get involved in the conversation.
"So, Grandson, are you planning on making a second edition to your first book?." Lillian began.
"Hmmm, well...that all depends." Jason responded while avoiding the tomato grapes and cucumbers in his bowl.
"On what, my dear?" Lillian asked, her curiosity piqued.
"Depends on... life circumstances." Jason responded with a bit of nervousness in explaining it right.
Goldi spoke up for her boyfriend. "You'll find out and understand when you read his first book, Nana."
Lillian nodded, intrigued. "I look forward to it. Tell me, Goldi. Do you have a career?. Other than your former occupation of crime committing."
Goldi blushed. "Well, I've been undecided on what I should do for myself."
Lillian raised a brow with a little suspicion. "You're not one of those fortune hunters are you?."
Goldi looked up at her, a bit defensive. "No, of course not!. Sure, I enjoy the spoiled pampering from Jason, but I'm not one of those dirty girls who is just there for the money and not for love. No, I've been thinking of opening a bakery. I love baking, it's what makes me happy. My family and I just love pies." She replied earnestly.
Lillian's expression softened. "A bakery, you say?. That sounds delightful. I'm sure you can help pull your own weight in bringing in money when having your own shop as soon as you two are officially married. What kind of pies do you specialize in?."
"Oh, all sorts." Goldi stuffs some salad in her mouth.
"Such as?." Fiona asked her soon to be daughter-in-law.
Goldi swallowed her salad and thought for a moment before speaking. "Well, I'm quite good at apple pies, but I've been experimenting with different flavors. Like...blueberry cheesecake pie, chocolate mint pie, and even a pumpkin pie with a twist of ginger." She listed off what is in her head with a sparkle in her eye.
Fiona leaned in with interest. "Ginger? That sounds intriguing. I've always loved a good pumpkin pie, but adding ginger could be a delightful surprise."
"I could bake one tomorrow. That is if you and Nana would want me to do that." said Goldi.
Fiona's eyes lit up. "Oh, Goldi, that would be wonderful!. I haven't had a homemade pie in ages. It would be lovely to have something sweet for breakfast."
Goldi nodded while finishing up her salad. Next, was the plate of garlics as this has confused Shrek. The look of Harold staring towards him still didn't help none. Shrek wasn't focused to see which silverware that everyone is using when working on eating the food. Shrek looked at his silverware on each side and couldn't understand which one to use. Taking chances, Shrek pops one in his mouth and munches on it before it makes a smile. It was loud since everyone heard it. Harold eyed Shrek with distaste and waited for what he would do next.
It didn't take long as Shrek grinned with the food smug showing on his teeth. Jason had his head down in embarrassment while Lillian gave off an uneasy smile. Fiona and Goldi can see that Shrek isn't even helping his case and need to distract themselves. Goldi took a bite of her other seasoned garlic and chewed and took a few bites before swallowing it down. Then her stomach started bubbling within indicating that her gut isn't agreeing since she is eating the type of food that makes you break wind. Fiona took her cup and swallowed her wine until empty to set it down.
Suddenly in a short separate time, Goldi accidentally farts cutely while Fiona burps. The tension broke down as Fiona and Goldi started giggling as the two had started to get used to being unladylike. For Fiona, Shrek taught her everything of what Ogres do. Goldi's was similar. For her, she didn't like the culture of the Ogres that Jason shows, like showering or relaxing in wet mud, brushing his teeth with slugs or snails that gives off a tolerant smell, and sometimes passing gas without saying excuse me. However, Jason has fully rubbed off on Goldi and she likes the Ogre lifestyle a little bit.
"Oops." Goldi tried not to grin but couldn't keep her giggles.
Fiona chuckled after removing her hands from her mouth. "Excuse me."
Shrek and Jason can't resist laughing as this feels very normal and feels very right at home.
"Better out than in that I always say, hey, Fiona?." Shrek busted out laughing.
Jason laughed. "Hey, Goldi, I think I smell you gas over here!."
Goldi playfully slapped the air. "Jason, that's not funny!." She tried to keep a straight face, but couldn't hold it and ended up joining everyone else in laughter.
All four laughed for just a short moment until seeing how deep Harold's facial expression was in his disapproval of his dinner table which made them all stop and be self ashamed and disappointed in themselves.
"Yeah..." Shrek sadly sighed. "Wrong moment in time."
"You can say that again, Dad." Jason commented.
"What do you mean that I am not on the guest list?!."
Everyone started hearing a voice somewhere which got all of their attention while trying to figure out where it was coming from, let alone who is the one speaking so much. They then started hearing rustling noises coming from the kitchen itself.
"Don't act like you don't know who I am!."
Without having to even guess on who it was, Donkey busted out through the kitchen and spoke with such energetic enthusiasm.
"Hi, everybody!." Donkey walked in. "Thanks for waiting!."
Donkey jumped into the chair that is close to Harold. "Man, you guys have no idea how long it took me to find you guys here. This place needs signs in order not to get lost in this massive place."
"No, No, No, No!." Harold spoke in fury. He motions Donkey to get down from the table. "Bad donkey!. No, down!."
"No, Dad, no!." Fiona stopped her father. She relaxed and gave a smile. "He's with us. He helped rescue me from the Dragon's Keep."
"Oh, yeah, that is right, your majesty." Donkey nodded at Harold. "The one and only noble steed." He turned back to where the doors to the kitchen were and spoke with the feeling of entitlement. "Hey, waiter, how about a bowl for the steed?!."
"Oh, Donkey." Shrek sighed in stress before grabbing his spoon to go take a sip of his supposed soup.
"Shrek!. Shrek!." Fiona whispers.
Having the wrong idea, Shrek responded in his wrong. "Oh, sorry." He looked at his mother-in-law. "Great soup, Mrs. Q."
"Ah, Dad." Jason, dipping his hands in the bow, said.
"No, honey. See?." Fiona shows that it isn't the soup but a lemon scented water washing bowl to dip their hands in to wash.
Everyone did the same. Lillian, once again trying to keep the peace, continued to keep the silence out.
"So, tell me, darling." Lillian grabs her napkin to clean her hand off. "Where do you and my grandson live?."
"Well…" Fiona tries to start off with a positive note to make her husband's image look good. "Shrek owns his own land." She looks at him with a smile. "Don't you, honey?."
Shrek sees where she was going and went along with it. "Oh, yes!. It is an enchanted forest. Uh…abundant in squirrels and cute little duckies, and…"
"What?!." Donkey busted out laughing at hearing all this from Shrek. "Know you ain't talking about the swamp!."
"Donkey?!." Shrek and Jason spoke with upsetness as to what he said.
"What?...Oh." Donkey now understands what they were trying to do. He went to chow down on his soup as soon as it came.
Harold, no longer giving the stink eye, just relaxed while putting his hands together. "An Ogre in a swamp. How original."
Harold looked at Jason. "And how is your proper childhood like in the swamp, Jason?."
"It's wonderful!." Jason played with his soup. "Best childhood ever. I was homeschooled and very smart, while learning to cook and value working. Plus, I'm well behaved."
Harold then takes his attention towards Goldi. "You probably have been around the swamp with Jason. Are you willing to live in the swamp?."
"Yes." answered Goldi before taking a bite of her soup before munching on the crunchy onions.
"Ah, so quick to answer with no hesitation." Harold was intrigued. "Care to explain yourself, young lady?."
Goldi took a moment to swallow her soup before speaking. "I have lived a life of danger and uncertainty, Your Highness. The swamp may not be as grand as this castle, but with Jason by my side, anywhere can be a palace to me. I am willing to adapt and make a home with him, no matter where it may be." She replied with a touch of sincerity.
Shrek felt his chest swell with pride at her words, while Fiona shot him a look that said she knew they had underestimated Goldi's ability to charm the socks off anyone. Meanwhile, Donkey was busy stuffing his face with the garlic, seemingly oblivious to the tension that had just been diffused.
"It doesn't really matter now, doesn't it?." Lillian asked. She gave a confident satisfied smile. "I can see that since Jason has turned out very well and being such a successful book publishing author, I strongly believe that the swamp is the best place to have more raised grandchildren."
The mention of grandchildren caused both Shrek and Harold to get choked up on something. Harold choked on his drink while Shrek had choked on his spoon. They coughed and choked until they got rid of the irritation. Harold cleaned his throat from the choked wine. Shrek, currently pounding his chest, coughed out his spoon as it shot out and slid for everyone to see. They all looked back at Shrek and saw that the idea of more kids has startled him more than Harold.
"Uh, is it a bit too early to think about that, right?." Shrek responded while trying to regain his posture.
"Yeah, I can agree, Dad." Jason looked at everyone. "Sure, I love the idea of being an elder brother. I always wanted siblings."
"Just you wait." Goldi made that comment as she does have a sibling.
"Well, you two have just been married." Lillian began. "No need to rush things so soon."
Goldi nodded in agreement. "Yes, Nana. They need to enjoy their time together before they even think about children."
"I absolutely agree with you, Goldi." Harold started to slowly scoop his soup and spoke with an offensive comment. "Besides, I just started eating."
"Harold!." Lillian looked at her husband sternly.
Shrek heard that comment and didn't take it very well at all. "Hey, what does that supposed to mean?."
Harold went on to comment further. "I'm even more shocked that he didn't eat the boy like all Ogres do with human children."
Jason, was very hurt and enraged about the lying stereotype and defended his father, frowned and spoke. "I beg your pardon?."
"Dad, don't." Fiona quickly interrupted, placing a hand on Shrek's shoulder. "He's just joking. Right, Daddy?."
Harold laughed in his throat while eating his soup. "Who says that I am joking?."
Shrek, noticing that Jason was upset, spoke up in anger. "I'm not a monster. I'd never do that to my own son!."
"Son?. Ha. It's even more weird that you adopted a human. That's very unogre of you."
Goldi began to say something as she saw that things were heating up.
"Look, everyone, let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's a joyous occasion that we're all here together, and we should focus on that." Goldi said, trying to ease the tension.
"Be silent, you little criminal." Harold shoots back.
Lillian is furious. "Harold!."
"Okay, now you're crossing the line when you insult my Dad and my girlfriend." Jason got mad now.
"Well, I'm so sorry that you would want a girl with a criminal record." Harold finished his soup with a don't care look on his face.
Jason glared at him. "I'd take her any day over someone."
"Okay, Dad, raising kids in the swamp is great. Okay?." Fiona tries to calm things down.
"Sure it is." Harold pointed at Shrek. "For his type."
"My type?!." Shrek is now fully furious.
Donkey would intervene to say something but this is way too much for him to take. He slowly managed to move. "Uhhhhh, I'll be in the bathroom..."
Chef Gromit came out with his servers that were carrying the food. "Dinner is served!."
Donkey quickly sat back in his seat when seeing the yummy food. "That's alright. I can wait."
They lay all of the food on the table. Goldi drooled at the yummy foods that were on the table as she never had royal food before until today and she can't wait to eat. Shrek and Harold were shooting anger towards each other, as the two were very tipped.
Chef Gromit bowed and left before speaking. "Bon appetit!."
"Oooo, Mexican food!." Donkey sees the tray. "My favorite!."
"Well, let's not just sit here with our bellies rumbling." Lillian spoke to everyone. "Everyone dig in!."
"Don't have to tell me twice, Nana!." Goldi started piling her plate up.
"Don't mind if I do, Lillian." Donkey spoke with his eyes on the lobster.
"So, I'll take it that..." Harold pulls the tray of steam lobster from Donkey who was about to eat it. "Excluding Jason, My other grandkids are going to be..."
"Ogres..." Shrek pulls the tray of the full roasted turkey as soon as Jason is about to pull a leg to help ease his temper. "Yes."
"There isn't anything wrong about that." Lillian did a nervous chuckle but then got serious and looked at her husband with a brow raised. "Right, Harold?."
Harold shook his head when grabbing the fork. "Oh, no, that is if they eat their own young!." He stabbed the back of the lobster and split it open.
"Dad!." Fiona looked at her father with a bit of hurt.
"No, actually we prefer to eat the one..." Shrek pulls out the turkey legs from its body. "That were locked away from the tower!."
Fiona sees the word shot that Shrek is giving out and speaks with emotion. Her feelings are getting very sensitive. "Shrek, please!."
Harold forked a chesscube and dipped in the hot fondue. "I did it because I love her!."
"Oh, so do I. For you had two options. Putting her in daycare or dragon guarded castle. Hmmmm, it's the second choice." Shrek spoke while pulling out the wishbone.
Goldi stuffed her face like a pig and watched this unfold and looked at her boyfriend and spoke with her mouthful. "You're not going to say something?."
Jason, his mouth stuffed with food, spoke. "I'll let them handle it. Too hungry to stay mad."
"You don't understand!." Harold roughly destroyed the lobster claw in anger. "You're not her father!."
It went on for twenty minutes while Jason, Donkey, Goldi, and Lillian were trying to eat. Fiona is in a world of emotions at seeing her husband and father fight over her for the wrong reasons. They made a massive mess all over the table. They ate or should I say half ate and destroyed every food except the last one. The roasted pig in the center. Shrek and Harold raised up in their seats in anger. The two reached over and grabbed the ends of the hog until it slipped and flew up in the air.
"Mom?!." Fiona looked at her mom for assistance.
"Harold?!." Lillian frowned.
"Lillian?!." Harold spoke in protest.
Goldi looked at her boyfriend in upsetness as he didn't do anything but eat and didn't help stop his dad and grandfather from arguing. "Jason?!."
Jason shrugged with his hands up. "Goldi!?."
"Fiona?!." Shrek pointed to Fiona's father in protest.
"Shrek?!." Fiona looked at her husband in upsetness.
"Donkey!." Donkey threw his name in the mix since he felt lonely.
The whole argument stopped hard when the pig had finally dropped down at the table. Not taking it anymore, Fiona got up and threw her napkin and busted out of the dining room. Goldi sighs and wipes her mouth with her napkin before throwing it down. She too got up and went out to go chase after her future mother-in-law before looking at Jason with anger.
"We will have a little talk once we get back to our room." Goldi left and went to chase after Fiona.
Shrek sighed at what he did while Harold felt awful as well. Jason looked around for a few seconds and spoke.
"What the heck did I do?." He asked himself.
