Vella Tartine is a fiery-spirited baker who wants to slay a beast. Shay Volta is a sheltered prince in a castle where the sun and moon revolve around him and a strange wolf tells him what to do. When their paths collide, both of their worlds will turn on their head, and they'll need to learn to work together to achieve both of their goals.

During the events of Act II, Shay composes a heartfelt letter to Vella discussing important things like frosting, whipped cream, chess, dangerous activities, friendship, and most importantly, how sorry he is about that thing she tried to punch him for.
