It was almost 12 noon when Fitz finished moving Olivia and the kids into the panic room with everything they could possibly need. He got copious amounts of food and plenty of toys and electronics for the girls. Olivia chose some cozy clothes for them. Zeus was still in the kennel.
The panic room was the size of a large 2-bedroom apartment and it had every comfort it could fit. Once they settled inside, Olivia took a seat on the sofa in the living room. Daisy and Isabelle cuddled beside her. Daisy laid her head on Olivia's lap and yawned.
"Are you girls tired?" she asked softly. They both nodded. Lily was standing beside Fitz. He walked to the sofa and she followed.
Fitz stooped in front of Olivia and rested his hands on her knee. "Is this a bad idea? Tell me if it is and I won't do it."
Olivia took a breath as she caressed both Daisy and Isabelle's hair, "it can't be my decision. I couldn't live with myself if you got h-u-r-t." she spelled the last words so the children couldn't understand.
"I can't make this decision by myself," Fitz said. "I did that last time and look what happened. If I go, it has to be because we decided it together. I can't go if we don't."
Olivia caressed his cheek as she gazed into his eyes. "We're in this together. I know why you need to go, okay baby, but I also need you to come back to me and to our babies."
Fitz brought her hands to his lips and kissed them.
"-Wait, Daddy, you're leaving?" Lily asked in a panic.
Fitz turned to Lily and caressed her cheek, "Only for a little while honey and then I'll be right back."
"No-" Lily said firmly as her eyes grew wet. "You can't leave. What if the bad man comes back. You have to protect us."
Fitz was pained to hear it. Olivia reached out to Lily, "Darling, even though Daddy will be gone for a little while we'll be safe. No one can come in here except for Daddy so we'll just wait here until he comes back- okay my love?"
"No," Lily said angrily as she crossed her arms. "You're not allowed to leave."
Fitz reached out to her but she pushed him though he didn't budge. Lily became angry and pushed him again.
Olivia lifted the twins from her lap and stooped beside Lily. "Lily, you're frustrated I know my darling but -" Before Olivia could finish what she was saying Lily hit her across the cheek. Fitz became enraged as she grabbed Lily's small hands holding them together. Olivia grabbed her face where Lily struck her, shocked. Lily had managed to go through infancy to kindergarten with barely a few tantrums of note but since the night of the attack, her behavior had been completely unpredictable and uncontrollable.
"You do not ever hit your mother, ever-do you understand me," he said firmly with a raised voice.
"I'm sorry Daddy," Lily screamed and began crying hysterically. Fitz let go of her hands and took a breath. Losing his temper was not going to help and he couldn't expect Lily to regulate her emotions if he couldn't do it as well.
Olivia grabbed Lily into her arms, "it's okay my love, it's okay," Olivia whispered softly as she tried to console her.
The twins became distressed as well after witnessing Lily hit Olivia. Fitz moved to them and allowed them to climb into his arms.
"Look at me, Lily," Olivia said as she turned Lily's face towards hers, "I know you're scared, I know you're sad, I know you're angry and you have every right to feel the way you do but honey we can hurt each other okay-"
"-I'm sorry Mommy," Lily said through sniffles. "-I just don't want Daddy to leave."
"It's okay my love," Olivia said as she kissed her forehead. "But can you do something for me? It would make me really happy."
Lily sat up from her arms and wiped her eyes and nodded.
"The next time you have a feeling, whether you're sad or angry or scared and it feels so big that it's too big and you want to scream or cry or hit someone, you have to give that feeling to mommy or daddy okay, because we can handle it, okay."
"Give it to you?" Lily asked, confused.
"Yes," Olivia said with a nod, "what are you feeling right now."
"Sad and scared," Lily answered with a pout.
Olivia held out her palm to Lily, "I want you to take that feeling and give some of it to me and some of it to Daddy so you don't have to go feel it all alone."
Lily's eyes brightened when she understood Olivia and she reached to her chest and pulled out her feelings and placed them in Olivia's hand. Olivia smiled and closed her hand, "thank you, my love."
Lily reached to her chest again and pulled out more, "Your turn Daddy."
Fitz opened his palm to Lily and she planted her tiny hand in his then he brought his hand to his mouth and pretended to devour whatever Lily placed in his palm. "Daddy," Lily said with a laugh.
"I ate it all up so it can't come back for the rest of the day."
The twins laughed in his lap. "You're silly Daddy."
Fitz chuckled and then sighed before he caressed Lily's hair. "I'm sorry I got mad at you honey, it's just that we can't hurt each other okay, not your mom or your sisters?"
Lily nodded, "I'm sorry Daddy."
Fitz leaned over and kissed her forehead. "Now honey, I'm going to leave but don't be scared. You'll be safe here with Mom until I come back."
"But what about the bad man?" Lily asked.
"That's who I need to go see, I have to help the police to take him and his other bad friends to jail so that we can all be safe."
Lily nodded.
Fitz leaned down and kissed the twins."Okay, go play while I talk to Mommy."
Lily nodded and headed off while the twins followed her. Once they were out of earshot Fitz spoke. "Are you okay?"
Olivia nodded. Fitz pulled her into his arms and kissed her softly. "I'm sorry she hit you."
"It's okay, it didn't hurt."
"I know but still, we can't have that happening," he said as he kissed her again.
"Eww-no kissing Daddy," Daisy yelled from across the room.
Olivia chuckled and rubbed her belly. "You better come back. If your life is at risk in any way, quit, and don't go through with it. Just come home."
"I promise I will."
Olivia nodded and kissed him again.
Fitz leaned, "Where do you come up with this shit- give all your feelings to mommy and daddy?"
Olivia smiled, "I read it in a parenting book because I thought Lily's terrible twos would be terrible but she was an angel so I never had to really utilize it until now."
"I'm gonna need to read that when I get back because you handled it way better than I did."
"You were fine with her hitting you, just not me."
"Exactly, you get it."
Olivia chuckled humorlessly, "We're all on edge. I just hurry up and come back to me."
He leaned over and kissed her belly, "I will."
"I love you," Olivia whispered.
"I love you too," Fitz returned. "You're my entire fucking world- you hear me. Just hang tight for a couple days and I promise I'll be back."
It was hours since he'd left and Olivia was with the girls in the kitchen. They were standing on stools around the kitchen island where they'd made homemade pasta and after Olivia let them help knead and roll out the dough, she gave them butter knives and a small star and heart-shaped cookie cutter to make pasta shapes and took pictures of them as they did to send to Fitz. As they continued to cut Olivia turned her attention back to the stove behind her to check the boiling water.
"My loves, it's time to put the pasta in the water. Are you all done?"
"Yes Mom," Lily called out first. "Look at my pasta. I made an 'L' for Lily."
Olivia walked over and smiled, "It's gorgeous darling, I bet it tastes delicious."
"Look at my mine, Mommy," Daisy and Isabelle both said at the same time.
Olivia chuckled and moved closer to them, "I love them. Let's put it in the pot."
Olivia took the raw pasta and brought them over to the pots. She was about to put them inside when she realized they would all be mixed up but she didn't bother herself with it and dumped them in the pot. She stirred it in intervals as she began the saucepan with the homemade marinara sauce she prepared a bit earlier. She added cream and let it simmer on low heat until the pasta was cooked. After the pasta was drained she added it to the saucepan and then added cheese. She added a bit of herb on top and then portioned four plates and brought them to the kitchen island.
"Mmmm, looks yummy Mommy," Isabelle said.
"Thank you my sweet," Olivia said then she turned to Lily and Daisy, "just give it a bit of time to cool down first. I'll get your drink."
"Can I do it, Mommy?" Lily asked.
Olivia nodded, "Sure, thank you, sweetheart."
Lily nodded as she hopped off the stool and walked to the fridge to take out three honest drink pouches. She brought them back to the table and handed two to her sisters and kept one for herself. Once the food cooled, they began eating.
After dinner, Olivia took them for a bath and after brushing their teeth, she helped them dress and then brought them to her bedroom. She read them a bedtime story and tucked them in and turned on the nightlight then left them to sleep. She returned to the kitchen to put the dishes in the washer and cleaned up then she went to the bathroom to bathe. When she checked the time, it was almost 9pm as she dressed in pajamas and grabbed her phone to check in with Fitz. The girls were snoring lightly cuddled together in bed.
She dialed him as she paced slowly at the other side of the bedroom and rubbed her belly. He answered the phone on the second ring. She could hear a jet engine in the background.
"Fitz," she called.
"Livie, what's going on?"
"Are you on a plane?"
"Yeah, I'll be landing soon."
"Oh-okay well the girls are down. They had fun helping me cook."
"What did you make?"
"Homemade pasta-"
"Homemade pasta- you didn't have regular pasta?"
"You put like 50 bags of pasta in here babe but we have nothing but time so I figured we'd make it from scratch, they loved it. They got to cut their own pasta shapes which meant that they had no problem eating it all."
Fitz chuckled, "How was Lily for the rest of the day?"
"She got a little sad and so did the twins after you left then they got distracted by Encanto and there were no issues after so let's see how tomorrow goes," Olivia said. "Anyways, I'll let you go, I just wanted to check in."
"You're kicking me off the phone?" Fitz quipped.
Olivia chuckled in response, "No, I just don't want to distract you."
"You can never distract me, baby,"
"Is that so?"
"Yeah you're constantly on my mind, you sexy little fox."
Olivia laughed and walked to the couch and sat down as she continued massaging her stomach.
"How's our boy?"
"Good, there's been flutters here and there."
"What are your plans for tomorrow?"
"I promised the girls we'd bake chocolate chip cookies so after I make them breakfast we'll probably be baking during the day and then I'll figure out what to make for dinner later on. I'm really craving shepherd pie with cheesy top but they won't eat that so I'm thinking we can make homemade pizzas, they'll have fun designing it so that's where my thinking is right now."
"That sounds good but don't exhaust yourself Livie."
"I won't, I'm taking it easy, I promise."
"Alright, I love you, I'll be back soon."
"I love you too," Olivia said before she hung up and went to bed.
Fitz locked his phone and let out a deep breath. They were almost at their destination and in a moment he would begin getting ready. As his mind began to wander back to Olivia and the kids he opened the phone and looked at the pictures she sent him earlier. She'd also made a video of them eating their tomato and cream pasta and he watched it a few times before he finally began getting ready for landing.
Just under an hour later, they landed on a private airstrip in Belarus. It was where Mellie and Erin along with a few others had moved from Brazil. They were at a rural inn outside of Minsk. It was early morning when Fitz arrived at the small countryside inn. They'd left the vans just a mile down the road and walked under the cover of trees. He had a few mercenaries with him. They each had a goal, Fitzz was seeking out Mellie. Erin was with her. She had a few others with her and they were in adjoining rooms as they regrouped from the assault they launched in Brazil.
The sun was beginning to rise and quickly and quietly they made their way in through the back entrance of the main inn up to the front desk. Fitz was fully masked in a black balaclava as he approached the desk and grabbed the attendant from the empty lobby. He spoke Russian, the little Russian that Anton taught him back in his early days of being a delta. After forcing him to collect the room keys for all of the rooms they needed upstairs, Fitz dragged the attendant with a gun pressed to his temple to the back of the lobby, down the hallway, and up the staircase to the second floor.
He moved quietly to Mellie's room. He stood outside the door. After having the attendant open the door and flung him to the other mercenary to open the other door and then he quietly opened the door and ran in on Mellie. She was sleeping in bed and across the room, Erin was tied to a chair and gagged. Erin was sleeping as well.
He moved over to Mellie quietly. She was on her side sleeping with a gun right beside her. He pressed his Glock with a silencer attached to her forehead and she opened her eyes immediately terrified. Fitz pulled the gun from beside her and slid it into the holster behind him. He moved his mask so she could see his face. Her breath shortened instantly as her chest began to rise and fall.
"You should've counted yourself lucky that I forgot about you," he said as he pressed the trigger and lodged a bullet between her eyes. Blood flooded the white pillow underneath her as he stepped back. The sound of the gun, though quiet with the silencer, was enough to wake Erin.
She leaned up from her slouched position on the chair. She could barely move in the ties and gag but when she turned and saw Fitz. Her immediate reaction was to freeze.
Fitz walked to the closet and checked if anyone was hiding inside then he checked the bathroom and finally he looked under the bed. Once he was sure the entire room was clear as he expected, he walked to Erin.
She looked like Olivia and that's all he could think about as he approached her, knowing what he had to do. As he reached closer she began to mumble through the gag. Truly, he didn't expect her to be in a gag, if she was working with Mellie willingly then there was no need to keep her hostage. She had dark bags under her eyes even though she was just woken. Her skin was clammy and her eyes were bloodshot and dilated.
The mumbling got louder and when Fitz finally stopped in front of her, he debated if he wanted to remove her gag or not, he was sure all he would hear were lies. After a moment of indecision, he removed her gag.
"Fitz please- I didn't want to help her- I just- I was in a bad spot okay- I swear, I didn't want to help her-"
"-So why did you?" Fitz asked.
"I was high and she gave me what I needed so I wouldn't go through withdrawal."
"How long have you been using- weren't clean before-"
Erin sighed, flustered. "I started using last year-" Fitz didn't wait to hear more as tied the gag around her mouth and flung her over his shoulder then headed out.
It was early morning when Olivia heard her phone vibrating beside her on the nightstand. It took a moment for her to fight her way out of sleep and when she realized what was happening she quickly jumped up and answered her phone.
"Fitz?" she answered quickly.
"Livie-"
"Is everything okay? Are you okay?" She asked quickly.
"I'm fine, not a hair on my head is harmed," he said.
She let out a sigh of relief.
"Then why do you sound like that? Did it happen?"
"Kind of…" he said as his voice trailed off.
"Kind of?"
"I have her- it probably wasn't a good idea to even talk to her but I did and baby the only thing that even stopped me or made me pause was because she fucking looks like you-"
Olivia realized what he was struggling to say.
"Fitz-"
"When would you say she began acting strange?"
Olivia thought for a moment- "When you came back. She said I was ignoring her because of you.."
"Think harder baby, what do you remember from last year?"
Olivia was quiet again. "Around June, maybe 6 months before you came, she got really obnoxious. She kept trying to set me up on dates even though I told her I didn't want to date. She became really social and she started having problems with her wife because she was really erratic- they'd fight- wait-"
"She says she's been on drugs since last year. She was already taking it before I gave her anything. She says the only reason she told Mellie anything was because she gave her drugs."
"But do you believe her?" Olivia asked, "Not that it really changes anything. Whether she did it for drugs or not she still hurt our girls, she hurt me and she hurt you, I don't know if it makes me feel better or worse that she sold us out for a hit."
"We'll never be able to trust her again but I just needed to let you know and know that you do, do you still want me to do it. If you don't want that, let me know and we can figure something else out."
"Like what baby, what can we do that we'll trust her not to hurt us or tell our secrets. you said it yourself, maybe we're only meant to have the family we make and not the one we're born with," Olivia said.
"I don't know, I just needed to let you know," Fitz responded.
"What do you think? Do you believe her?"
"It doesn't matter to me," Fitz said with a sigh, "I'm gonna be honest the only reason I'm even calling you is because I can't fucking do it- I took care of everyone else, that was easy but this- I can't do it and I can't afford to have her hurt you or the girls again so where the fuck does that leave us."
Olivia was silent for a moment, "bring her here. We'll put her in the panic room once we're out and leave her to withdraw. It'll give us time to figure it out and once she's sober we can decide what to do with her."
"Alright," Fitz said.
"Thank you," Olivia said. "For calling me-"
"Livie-"
"No, you don't have to say anything…just…thank you."
She heard him chuckle softly on the line. "I'll be home soon."
"Okay, I didn't even get the chance to rejoice," she said. "How soon, my love?"
"By tonight," he said. "Maybe earlier."
"Okay. I love you, I'll see you in a bit."
"I love you too."
Olivia hung up and took a breath as she laid back against her pillow. She could no longer sleep and instead waited up for a few hours until it was a little after 7am. She got up and freshened up in the bathroom before taking her prenatal then she headed to the kitchen and began preparing breakfast for the girls. It consisted of Belgian waffles and powdered sugar and strawberries and sausages on the side. She cut the waffles into hearts and butterflies with a cookie cutter then she headed to the bedroom to wake the girls. She pulled the blankets back and sat beside them. Lily was closest to her. She leaned over and kissed her on the cheek. "Lily, it's time to wake up," she said softly. Lily yawned and stretched but didn't wake up immediately. "Lily, good morning," Olivia laid against her and pulled her hair from her face. Lily opened her eyes and smiled. "Morning Mom," she said, then she sat up slowly. "I made breakfast for you and your sisters, can you help me wake them?"
Lily nodded and reached over and kissed Olivia's belly. Olivia smiled, surprised at the show of affection. When they told her the news of her new sibling she wasn't very happy.
Lily turned and shook Daisy gently. Olivia did the same to Isabelle until they both woke.
"Good morning Isabelle, good morning Daisy, I have breakfast ready for you, I hope you're hungry."
"I miss Daddy," Lily said. "When is Daddy coming home?"
"I miss Daddy too," Isabelle said.
Isabelle nodded in agreement.
"Well, Daddy's coming home today. He should be here a little later, maybe in time for dinner so why don't we make him something yummy?"
All three girls grinned, "can we make pizza?"
Olivia nodded with a smile, "Well when I spoke to Daddy last night I told him we might make a pizza and he loved that. I also told him we would make chocolate chip cookies."
"Yes!" Lily said as hopped out of bed.
"Let's go," Daisy said as she pulled Isabelle with her.
All three sprinted out of the bedroom and headed to the kitchen. When Olivia walked out and reached the kitchen. All three were sitting patiently on the stools at the table and Olivia was reminded of how well-behaved they were before the entire ordeal on the island.
"Dig in my loves," Olivia said. She had their food plated on the table with milk.
"Can I have whipped cream?" Lily asked.
"Oh- I forgot to take it out for you, one moment," Olivia said as she walked to the refrigerator and took out a can of whipped cream. They took turns spraying the cream on their waffles and then they began eating as Olivia stood on the other side of the counter watching them.
Halfway through breakfast, Lily asked her to call Fitz. Olivia texted him first to make sure he was free before she face-timed him.
"Where are my daughters?" Fitz asked once the call connected.
"We're here Daddy," Lily said.
Olivia smiled and turned the phone to face them. "What's for breakfast?"
"Waffles and strawberries," Isabelle said.
"And whipped cream," Daisy added.
"And sausages and milk," Lily said. "Where are you, Daddy?"
"I'll be home tonight. Mom told me you were gonna make chocolate chip cookies, can you save me some?"
They nodded.
"Okay, save me all of them because I'm gonna eat them all," Fitz said.
"No- you only get some," Lily said.
"All," Fitz said. "All of them. Every single one."
"No," Daisy and Isabelle said in unison.
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes. yes. yes."
"No. no. no."
Olivia laughed, "Daddy won't eat all your cookies."
"Fine, I won't," Fitz said. "I love you, my girls. I'll see you when I get home and take care of Mom okay."
"Love you Daddyyyyy," they bellowed.
Olivia turned the camera back to her. "How are you feeling?" Fitz asked.
"Good, a little tired so I might nap them today and then take a nap myself."
"Just put them on the iPad, they'll be fine even if they don't sleep. You don't need to stimulate them all day."
Olivia chuckled, "I won't."
"I love you, I'll talk to you later."
"Love you too babe," Olivia said before ending the call.
"Is Daddy really gonna eat all of our cookies?" Lily asked.
"No," Olivia said. "Daddy was just being a troublemaker."
Lily nodded and continued eating. Olivia ate as well and when they were finished she took them to the bathroom to clean up and brush their teeth then change out of their pajamas and took them to the living room to watch tv as she cleaned up the kitchen and began to put dry ingredients and vegetables aside to prepare their lunch. When she was done, she went back to the girls in the living room and set up some activities for them to do at the dining table.
They painted and colored and did arts and crafts for just under an hour until Oliva moved back to the kitchen to prepare their lunch. She laid out all the ingredients and cut and prepared them then allowed the girls to put their avocado and cheese sandwiches together and then pick their vegetables and apple slices then she sat them at the table and ate with them then cleaned up. She put them down for a nap a little while after lunch then went to sleep beside them. When she woke it was mid-afternoon. She checked her phone to see if there were any messages or calls from Fitz and saw two messages. She opened it and he told her he'd landed at a private airport outside of Los Angeles but it would still take him a few hours to get to her. She texted back that she'd just woken up from her nap and that she would be waiting for him.
She took a shower while the kids finished their nap and as she was stepping out of the shower, all three girls walked in. Olivia wrapped a rope around her naked body and as she did that Daisy laughed.
"What honey?"
"Your belly is really fat," she said with a giggle.
Lily laughed as well, "There's a baby in her belly that's why."
"Oh-" Daisy said.
Olivia laughed, "Yes, your baby brother is in there."
"When is he coming?"
"In September," Olivia said, "that's when you start grade 1 and the twins begin kindergarten."
"How will he get out?" Lily asked.
"Mommy and Daddy will go to the hospital and the doctor will help me to push him out."
"Of your butt? Like poop?" Isabelle asked.
Olivia laughed, "No honey, out of my vagina. That's how Lily was born and you and Daisy were born from mommy's belly because mommy was having a hard time pushing you out."
"Does it hurt Mommy?"
"Yes, it hurts a lot but Daddy and the doctors will help me and there's medicine I can take to make me feel better."
Lily nodded.
"Mommy, I have to poop," Daisy said.
"Sure babe, I have to get dressed then I'll come to check on you."
Daisy nodded as she walked to the toilet and pulled down her shorts. Olivia went into the bedroom to dress and groom herself quickly then she went back to check on Daisy before she took all three girls to the kitchen for an afternoon snack and then they began baking cookies together.
Afterward, she let them have screen time for the rest of the evening while she relaxed on the couch until it was almost 6pm she went to the kitchen and began preparing the ingredients for the pizza. The moment the girls saw her move to the kitchen they left their ipads and ran over to help.
She let them wait a while as she prepped the dough and crushed the tomatoes and chopped the basil. She made fresh mozzarella which took a bit longer but once she was finished she had the girls roll out the dough to make tiny personal pizzas for themselves. They rolled out circular pieces of dough and decorated them with cheese and crushed tomatoes. None of the girls liked basil. Olivia rolled out a few small pizzas for herself and Fitz. She baked the pizzas in batches, started with the girls first then as they ate she baked the pizzas she made for Fitz and herself. As the pizzas baked, she heard the automatic front door latch decompress and for a moment she held her breath before the door opened and Fitz walked in. The girls dropped their food on the table and sprinted over to him.
"Daddyyyyy," Lily screamed as she jumped on him. Isabelle and Daisy grabbed his legs and climbed on him and wrapped their legs around him.
Olivia smiled but just then the timer went off and she quickly took the pizzas out of the oven and placed them on the counter on a wooden pizza board.
Fitz hugged and kissed the girls before he let them down and walked over to Olivia, lifted her around his waist, and kissed her. She laughed and kissed him back though once she got a glimpse of his face it was clear he was exhausted.
She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and hugged him before she kissed him again.
"Ewwww mommy stop-" Lily groaned.
Olivia chuckled and unwrapped her legs from around his waist as he let her down.
"Daddy just really missed kissing Mommy," Fitz said with a smile.
"You came at the perfect time, dinner is just finished," Olivia said.
"I'm ravenous," Fitz said as she rubbed her belly. "And it looks great." Fitz washed his hands before he lifted the pizza board to the island and grabbed the pizza cutter and began slicing the pies. Olivia grabbed a handful of chopped basil and sprinkled it over the pizza before she took a slice and Fitz took one as well. He took a large bite and chewed.
"Holy shit-"
"That's a bad word Daddy," Daisy said.
"Well it's good pizza," Fitz said. "Maybe you shouldn't give me such good pizza."
All three girls laughed. Fitz moved through the pizza quickly and then he began on a second pie. Olivia watched him amused as she ate as well. After finishing his second pizza he stole a slice of Olivia's.
"Have you eaten today?" Olivia asked.
"No-" he answered as he poured water from the glass
"No Daddy-" Lily chimed in, "Mommy said you have to eat three times a day plus snacks."
"Yes," Fitz said. "You're right sweetie but I was busy today and I was waiting for pizza and chocolate chip cookies which- where are they?"
Fitz turned and saw the cookies in a clear jar on the counter. He went for them.
"-no Daddy, wait, we have to eat them together-" Isabelle said. "You're gonna eat it all." Fitz grabbed the jar and Daisy hopped off the stool. "No daddy- put it down!" she yelled.
Fitz grinned then ran off with the jar. Daisy chased him and Lily and Isabelle were right behind her. "Fitz- they're not done eating-" Olivia yelled then chuckled. She let out a breath and took a moment to find relief in the fact that he returned. She knew the twins or Lily wouldn't return to finish their food so she began to clean up as she waited to hear from Fitz about whether or not they would be sleeping in the panic room or moving back up to the house. She listened as they ran up and down and laughed all over the house. She wasn't able to play with them the way he could so she enjoyed watching and listening to him play with them.
They ran and played and laughed as she cleaned up the kitchen and when Fitz finally returned with them the jar of chocolate chip cookies was empty.
Olivia's mouth fell open. "What- Fitz- babe, you did not let them eat all those cookies?"
"They wanted it- and they beat on me a little for it," Fitz said as he placed the jar on the counter.
"That was like 15 cookies?"
"Mommy, it's okay, Daddy says we need to get bigger."
Olivia rolled her eyes and chuckled.
"What? They are skinny," Fitz defended.
"That's because they're tall- because of you."
"All the more reason for them to eat," Fitz said as he moved behind her and wrapped his arms around her belly, and kissed her shoulder.
"Are we staying here tonight?" Olivia asked in a whisper.
He shook his head, "No, we're going back to the house tonight. Erin will stay here."
Olivia nodded and smiled, "thanks for coming back to me."
"I told you I would," he said as he kissed her softly.
"Daddy, why are you always kissing Mommy," Lily asked.
"Because she's my wife," Fitz countered.
"It's gross," Lily countered.
"Excuse me little missy, kissing your mom is how each of you even got conceived so-"
"What's conceived?" Lily asked.
Fitz thought for a moment, "It's-uhhh when I put you- no- you went into your mom's belly and she got pregnant with you."
"Ohh-what's our brother's name?" Lily asked.
"We don't know yet," Fitz said.
"Can we call him 'it'?"
"Yes," Fitz said with a laugh, "or you can call it 'him' like you just did."
"Huh," Lily said, confused.
Olivia chuckled, "Come on girls, let's wash up for bed. We're going back up to the house now that Daddy's home."
"Nooo- mommy I like it down here," Isabelle said.
"Darling, we have to go home-"
"No please one more night," Daisy said.
"Yes," Lily said with a nod, "please Mom."
"Sure, we can spend one more night," Fitz said.
"Yayyy," they screamed.
Olivia's mouth fell open. "Pussy," she whispered.
"You let them bully you all the time," Fitz countered.
"One of us has to be the disciplinarian," Olivia said.
"Why do I have to do that? Because I'm a man?"
"No, because I'm even more of a pushover than you."
"No- they listen to you a lot more than they do me. They use me for playing and fucking McDonald's, that's it."
Olivia grinned but didn't disagree.
"Okay girls," Fitz said as he leaned back from Olivia, "it's bedtime."
"No- please," Lily said. "Well, your mom just called me a pushover so I'm afraid I have to insist on bedtime tonight. Let's go."
Lily groaned and walked off. Her sisters followed as did Fitz.
Olivia fell asleep on the couch as she waited for Fitz to finish with the girls. He'd insisted on giving them a bath and putting them down for bed on his own. She felt him nudge her gently in her sleep and it was enough to wake her. She opened her eyes and stared up at him sleepily.
"They're down - those cookies probably weren't a good idea because Daisy was shaking in the fucking tub."
Olivia chuckled as sat up slowly and caressed her belly. "He's going to be so big, I can feel it already."
"That's a good thing right?"
"It's a good thing once he's born. It's a bad thing getting him out."
Fitz sat beside her and pulled her in his lap and wrapped his arms around her stomach. "What are we naming him?"
"I named all of our daughters. This one is all you..."
Fitz groaned, "How about Fitzgerald Scott Grant…wait, that sounds like the great Gatsby guy."
"Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald."
"Oh," Fitz said, "I thought it was similar," he said mostly to himself.
"Fitz," Olivia said, whining only slightly, "I want our son to have your name."
"Fitzgerald Scott Thomas Grant, we'll nickname him whatever feels right when we see him."
Olivia nodded and smiled, "have you finally decided then?"
He nodded, "has he started moving yet?"
Olivia nodded, "It took a while to feel Lily move. With the twins, I felt it earlier but that's because I already knew what movement felt like with Lily. I feel him earlier than all three of them." She stood from his lap and turned around then sat on his lap again, this time straddling him, with her pregnant belly in between them. She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him softly. Fitz grabbed her hips and pressed her crotch against his and groaned when he felt her. Olivia deepened the kiss and felt him lift his hips slightly and pushed down his pants and underpants. His erection was instant.
He turned Olivia around and pulled down her shorts and panties then sat her in his lap on her erect cock. The feeling of her around him was so sweet that she grabbed her thighs as he closed his eyes. He took a moment to feel her before he began thrusting slowly into her as he held her against his chest with his arms around her belly and pulled her tank top from her breasts and grabbed them. Olivia pulled his face to her and kissed him deeply, enjoying the feeling of him sliding in and out of her, moving between her warm succulent lips. Fitz moved one hand from her belly and brought it between her legs, tenderly rubbing her clit.
Olivia grabbed him tighter. "Yesssss- yesss-" she cried as she reflexively closed her legs. She moved her hips up and down on him as she ground her hips against him.
"I'm cuming-I'm cuming," she moaned breathlessly as she stiffened.
Fitz was close too and thrust faster until they orgasmed together. He sank into the couch and hugged her tightly against him.
Olivia smiled as she caught her breath until Fitz slowly lifted her off him and kicked off his pants then pulled off his shirt. "I need more."
Olivia laughed as she pulled off her top and stood then stepped out of her shorts and panties. He lifted her on top of him and stood from the couch then carried her to the bathroom in the empty bedroom.
Olivia lay against him in the bathtub with his arms around her. After two more orgasms, she was exhausted and content. After some time she finally began asking the questions she needed to know.
"How was it?" she asked.
"It was quick," he said. "And without complication- with the exception of your sister."
"What happened with her?"
"I got to Mellie's room and Erin was there, tied up to a chair and gagged."
"What?"
"I don't trust her and she will never be around my children again and to be honest, I don't want her around you- although I can't make that decision for you. Either way, I couldn't kill her for the same reason I told you before."
"I don't trust her either," Olivia said. "And I don't know what to do. I'm afraid she's like Rowan…I think she is, drugs or not, she was -" Olivia groaned and let out a breath. "What do you think happened?"
"I think that she's been on drugs for a while, that's why she was out of her fucking mind in the months leading up to our fight in the theatre room. I think that when I injected her it probably got her very high, probably more than she usually was able to get, and when she left she was angry and wanted more drugs. I think she helped Mellie willingly for drugs and at some point Mellie didn't give her the drugs she wanted or something stupid and they stopped getting along. Mellie tied her ass up and gagged her so she would shut up while she figured out what to do with her or how to get more information out of her."
"So why didn't you kill her? I full reason."
"I killed your father, that was necessary. Erin is different, she's your twin sister. She looks like you. That last thing I'd see before she dies would be you. To make it even worse we have fucking twin daughters, I'd never want Daisy and Isabelle to fall out to the point where one of their husbands kills the other- maybe I'm overthinking it- maybe I just need some time. It would solve a good chunk of our problems and I still can't fucking do it."
Olivia nodded and hugged him tighter, "We'll put her in the bunker and force her to go through withdrawal. That gives us at least a month."
Fitz nodded as well.
"It's funny. I went back and forth on it so much and once I finally accepted it and was okay with it, we decide not to do it."
"Don't worry, I'm utterly shocked at myself. Being a family man is making me soft."
"No, you're just changing. We both are. That's not a bad thing."
"It is when a wrong decision can have us all murdered."
"I thought you said we're not gonna be scared all the time, we just have to be careful but normal," she teased playfully.
"Not killing my sister-in-law is normal," Fitz quipped.
Olivia shook her head and smiled, "so many people have tried to kill us both and so many people have failed. They'll keep failing," she said as she kissed him softly.
"I know," Fitz said as he caressed her cheek.
"How have your panic attacks been?"
"I had a couple," he answered truthfully. "It was fine."
"Don't worry darling, we'll take care of it," she said as he kissed him again and tenderly caressed his cheek. "I love you."
"I love you too."
A/N - Thank you for reading. I am having a hard time having Fitz kill Erin. I just can't get him to do it even though I know a lot of people would prefer it. I just think that Fitz has progressed to the point where that's no longer something that's easy for him to do. I'm sure you guys will be annoyed because Erin annoys me too but I can't have him kill her. Let me know your thoughts.
