6 Incredible Heroes Divided By 3
Before you read: Continuing from the previous chapter, the Parrs are already back home in Metroville. They flew home right after that scene at the Lucky Cat Café, I chose to just skip it to save time and make it seem more like a movie. Enjoy.
Getting Distracted
It was Monday morning and the Parrs were at home as Helen prepared breakfast while Violet and Dash were getting ready for school. Jack-Jack was in his high chair while Bob was reading the newspaper just as Violet and Dash came down, fully dressed for the day. Helen came and served them both eggs and bacon which they happily started eating while she smiled fondly.
Violet smiled as she swallowed a bite and then said, "It's good to be home."
Dash smiled teasingly as he pointed at her and said, "You sure you don't miss your nerdy boyfriend."
She glared at him with an annoyed expression before turning her attention back to her breakfast and started eating again.
Dash kept smiling as he said, "Yeah, you miss him already."
He then teased her by making kissy faces while Jack-Jack laughed, provoking Violet to angrily say, "Shut up! Both of you!"
Helen then sternly said, "Violet, don't yell at your brothers. Dash, stop teasing your sister."
Dash groaned in irritation as he and Violet went back to eating their breakfast as Bob smiled and said, "Don't worry Violet. Thanks to these Black Owls we'll be testing, you and Hiro will get to spend a lot more time together."
Violet smiled at the thought as she said, "Yeah, that'll be great."
Helen showed uncertainty as she honestly said, "I don't know Violet. I'm still not sure about these Black Owls, and even if they do work that doesn't mean you two can just visit each other whenever you want."
Violet understood as she smiled at her mom and said, "I know. We'll probably be able to at least get together a few times a week, and that's good enough for me."
Helen smiled as she said, "Well we're all happy for you honey."
Bob smiled as he agreed and said, "Yeah. You two are something special."
Violet smiled fondly before she curiously asked, "Do you think his aunt will be okay with him coming to Metroville more often?"
Helen shrugged her shoulders before sternly raising her finger as she said, "I don't know Violet, but I do know that you need to focus more on studying for your midterms."
Bob nodded with a serious expression as he said, "Your mom's right Violet. You and Hiro can spend time together but you need to concentrate on school."
Violet smiled as she looked down at her plate saying, "I know."
She could not help but daydream about being with Hiro, something Helen could tell as she shook her head with a smile. The school bus came and so Violet and Dash grabbed their bags and hurried out to the bus, which drove off with them.
Meanwhile at the Lucky Cat Café
Cass was working in the Café when Hiro walked through saying, "See you later aunt Cass. I'm going to school."
Cass promptly came and grabbed him as she said, "Hold on Hiro. I need to talk to you for a moment."
Hiro was somewhat perplexed as he said, "Okay…"
She leaned close to him and made sure no one was listening before whispering, "I'm still having a hard time accepting this whole superhero thing."
Hiro spoke calmly before smiling confidently as he said, "I know it's still kind of new to you, but you'll get used to it."
Cass also expressed a bit of concern as she said, "Well I'm also not sure about these Black Owls you and your friends agreed to test."
Hiro was relaxed as he said, "I know, but Fred's dad, Mirage, and Winston assured us they're safe. Everything will be fine."
Cass then narrowed her eyes as she sternly pointed her right finger at him as she said, "Well just don't forget that you're still grounded. Just school and home, that's it."
Hiro was somewhat surprised as he said, "But you said I could still do superhero stuff."
She kept staring him in the face as she sternly said, "Only if it's important. If it's something small that your friends can handle without you, then you're not going. Okay?"
Hiro let out a small groan of annoyance as he said, "Okay."
She was more relaxed as she said, "Good, now I'd like you to spend most of your time on your semester project."
He smiled cockily as he said, "I know."
She smiled and said, "Good. I love you."
She hugged him and he said, "I love you too aunt Cass. Bye."
He then pulled away from her and walked out the door while she watched him with a happy smile on her face. Meanwhile, Krei was in his office as he discussed things with Winston and Mirage about current events and revelations.
Krei was annoyed as he faced them both and said, "I told you both already, Project Silent Sparrow was abandoned. I have no idea how that Sickness kid knew about it. Can we please move on to the Black Owls?"
Mirage showed a serious expression as she said, "My technicians have already run full diagnostics and found them to be perfectly safe and functional."
Winston also had a serious expression as he pointed his finger at Krei and said, "Everything is ready, we need to focus on helping the supers. So, does anyone else know about your portal?"
Krei was annoyed as he glanced to the side and said, "Only the military, but they're the ones who shutdown the project and covered it up."
Mirage eyed him suspiciously as she asked, "Are there any other records on it?"
Krei glanced around sheepishly before pulling something up on his computer as he tediously said, "I kept the files for the project but they're highly classified and restricted."
Winston held his chin in thought as he asked, "Could someone have taken them?"
Krei showed a serious expression as he said, "I've learned to be more careful. My computer has the only copy of the files and the only ones with access to it are me and my assistant Judy. She is completely trustworthy."
Winston and Mirage looked at each other in thought before Winston complied, "Okay but we'd better tell the supers about this too."
Mirage raised her finger as she also said, "I will inform the NSA as well. Sickness is a threat that must be taken seriously."
Later in the afternoon
Hiro returned home from school as he went straight up to his room and started working on his computer with Baymax standing on his charger. Hiro got a call on his cellphone and smiled as he saw the caller ID and saw Violet's name over a picture of her.
He answered it with a smile as he stared into space and said, "Hey Vi. What's up?"
Over the phone Violet happily said, "Oh nothing. I just wanted to talk for a minute. I'm really glad we got to spend yesterday and the day before together."
He smiled fondly as he stared into space saying, "Yeah, it was great, even if yesterday wasn't what we would've hoped for."
Violet spoke with curiosity as she said, "How's your aunt doing today?"
Hiro was relaxed as he waved his left hand down and said, "She's taking it pretty well. She's still not used to us being Big Hero 6, but she will."
Violet spoke with an amused tone as she said, "So you're still grounded, huh?"
Hiro rolled his eyes tediously before smiling flirtatiously at the phone while he said, "Yeah, only two days left. But after that we'll be able to visit each other virtually whenever we want."
Violet spoke lovingly as she said, "Yeah…"
Hiro was spooked as he looked toward the staircase when he heard Cass sternly call out, "Hiro! You're not on the phone, are you?"
He smiled nervously as he covered his cellphone and lied, "No aunt Cass."
Believing his lie, she walked away and started working on dinner while Hiro let out a deep sigh of relief while Baymax stared at him.
He leaned to his right as he whispered, "I gotta go. I'll talk to you Wednesday."
Violet agreed as she said, "Okay. Bye."
He smiled as he said, "Bye."
He hung up and put his cellphone away before typing, then Baymax showed a clock on his chest and said, "That was more than 'a minute'."
Hiro chuckled at him before he turned his attention back to his computer and started typing as he did schoolwork. The next day, when Violet was at school she was sitting in class as everyone else talked while waiting for their teacher to show up. Violet was looking at her phone with a dreamy smile on her face as she stared at a selfie of herself and Hiro together. The teacher walked in and everyone immediately stopped talking while Violet swiftly put her phone in her pocket and prepared to take notes. At SFIT, Hiro paid close attention in class with his friends while taking notes, but when it was lunchtime, he was lost in his own thoughts. He couldn't stop staring at a picture on his phone of Incredigirl holding her arms out with a force-field around herself. Go Go, Wasabi, and Fred watched him with sly smiles while Honey Lemon had an adoring smile with her hands over her heart.
Later, when Violet was home she finished her homework and used her laptop to go online and looked at some images of Big Hero 6. She stared at one picture of Hiro riding Baymax in their armor and she smiled lovingly as she stared at his heroic face. After dark, Hiro and Baymax were watching TV with Cass as Baymax held Mochi in his arms and petted him. Hiro mistakenly pressed a button on the remote and accidentally changed the channel showing a news report about the Incredibles catching robbers. A closeup of Violet was shown and Hiro glanced at his aunt before he frantically changed the channel back to the movie they were watching. She kept smiling slyly at him while he blushed sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head while smiling at her, silently admitting she was right.
Wednesday at West View High
Violet was sitting with her friends at lunch as she smiled at a picture on her phone of Hiro when Lila said, "I can't believe you got to go to San Fransokyo for the weekend!"
Kari sat across from her as she excitedly rambled, "Did you see Big Hero 6?! Did you hear they teamed up with the Incredibles again?! Incredigirl is awesome but I wish Captain Hero would go out with me! He's so smart, brave, strong, and cool! I wish I was in danger so he could save me."
Violet suddenly silenced her with an amused smile as she said, "Kari! Yeah, I saw Big Hero 6 and I heard about the Incredibles too. They're both really cool but I just wanted to spend time with MY Hiro."
Lila chuckled at her pun when Tony came up and warily said, "Speaking of heroes, did you guys hear about Larry and what happened to his dad?"
Violet nodded with a tense expression as she said, "Yeah, crazy."
Lila showed some sympathy as she said, "I never thought I'd feel bad for Larry, but I don't think his dad deserved to die."
Kari agreed and expressed concerns as she placed her finger on the table saying, "Yeah, and if I were the supers I'd be worried about him. Since that ninja lady took him, he might be planning revenge against them. I know he doesn't have his suit anymore but he might still try to hurt them somehow. I'm just glad it's not me he's after or I'd be really scared."
Violet became nervous but hid it with a fake smile as she nodded in agreement and went, "Uh huh. Me too."
Later that evening at SFIT, Hiro and his friends were in the lab as Go Go, Wasabi, and Honey Lemon worked on their projects. Fred was sitting in a chair with a relaxed expression while Baymax watched Hiro working on something else. They were the only ones in the lab so they were free to talk about whatever they wanted; Honey Lemon decided to take a break and went over to Hiro.
He was working on a gauntlet when Honey Lemon asked, "What are you working on?"
Hiro held up the gauntlet as he proudly said, "A gauntlet for my stealth suit. It needs more work but when it's done it'll be able to emit sonic waves."
Go Go turned to him as she sarcastically said, "Loud noises, really stealthy."
Hiro eyed her with a sly grin as he said, "Not that loud when you adjust the settings to the right frequency."
Wasabi was intrigued as he held his chin and said, "Soundwaves can effect various materials depending on the vibrations of the air molecules."
Fred stood up in excitement as he said, "Yes! Sonic cannons! So cool!"
Hiro smiled as he put the gauntlet in a box while he said, "Yeah, I can't wait to show Violet when it's up and running."
Baymax turned to the others as he said, "Hiro hopes that his stealth suit will impress Violet."
Honey Lemon smiled sweetly as she said, "Hiro you don't need to impress her. Violet already loves you for who you are."
Hiro smiled as he packed the gauntlet before staring forward while he said, "I know but it could be really useful on some missions. Maybe when we visit each other more I can use it to help her and her family too."
Honey Lemon showed a little bit of concern as she looked at Fred and Wasabi while Go Go seriously walked up to Hiro.
She flicked the back of his head, prompting him to hold it and turn around angrily as he said, "Ow! What was that for?"
She seriously looked down at him and bluntly said, "Get your head out of the clouds genius."
Hiro was baffled as he said, "What are you talking about?"
The others joined them as Honey Lemon smiled and politely said, "I think what she means is, you need to try and stay focused. It's great that you're thinking about her, but you're starting to become a little distracted."
Wasabi held his left hand out toward Hiro as he honestly said, "Yeah, we can tell you're thinking about her more because those Black Owls will allow you guys to visit each other more often."
Hiro smiled and shrugged as he said, "I'm just glad I'll get to spend more time with my girlfriend, in person."
Go Go had her arms folded as she seriously lectured, "Well don't let your personal life mess with your school life or your responsibilities to Big Hero 6."
Fred smiled as he stared up into space and held his hands out to visualize as he said, "Yeah, it's like when Captain Kaiju started dating Martha Mage and he was torn between marrying her and protecting the city."
Hiro cockily chuckled his analogy as he said, "Well, Violet and I aren't getting married, and we're both superheroes so I don't think that will be an issue."
Go Go seriously pointed her right finger at Hiro as she said, "No but if you get to wrapped up with your relationship you'll forget about all the other things in your life."
Hiro sighed before he calmly held his hands out then grabbed the box before walking while he said, "Guys I hear what you're saying but everything's going to be fine. I promise I won't let anything distract me from school or Big Hero 6. Come on Baymax."
Baymax followed him as they walked out of the lab while the others watched him; they still had concerns but they trusted Hiro as they got back to work.
Meanwhile at the Parr house
Violet was sitting at her desk with a dreamy smile as she drew a picture of Hiro in her notebook, it was an excellent drawing that made him look quite charming.
Helen quietly opened the door to check on her, then she sternly walked to her and asked, "Violet what are you doing?"
She nervously hit her notebook behind her back as she frantically said, "Uh nothing!"
Helen stretched her arm around Violet and took the notebook to see her drawing of Hiro, then she said, "You should be studying for your midterms."
Violet defensively looked up at her mother saying, "I already finished my homework. I'm just taking a little break."
Helen's expression softened as she closed the notebook and held it up as she sincerely said, "Violet, I'm worried you're becoming too distracted by this. I think it's great that you're eager to spend more time with Hiro, but you need to be able to focus on everything else going on in your life. Your friends, school, your family."
Violet frowned as she glanced down at the floor and looked back at her mom as she said, "You're right mom. I'm sorry. I'll get back to studying."
Helen smiled as she said, "Good."
She handed Violet her notebook and walked out while Violet turned back to her desk, she glanced over her shoulder and made sure no one was watching. She opened her notebook and made one last touch to her drawing of Hiro to finish her sketch of him before sighing. She closed her notebook and moved it to the side before she cracked open one of her textbooks and started studying.
Later at San Fransokyo Maximum Security Prison
A prison guard entered a cellblock as huge door opened and closed behind him and he started walking with a calm expression with his hands behind his back. He passed a few cells containing dangerous criminals that Big Hero 6 and put away, all dressed in orange prison jump suits. He passed Yama, Shockra, a bearded man who went by the alias Hardlight, and a short man with pink hair who called himself Mr. Sparkles. Yama snarled at the guard when he calmly glanced at him as he sat on his bench while the others gave ugly looks to the guard when he ignored them. The guard left the cells and passed one cell across an intersection and he calmly stared at the inmate inside. It was Professor Callaghan who sat in a chair staring down at the floor in shame before glancing at the guard out of the corner of his eye. The guard turned away and kept walking until he came to a cell holding none other than Insti-Gator, who was in his human form. He was wearing a high-tech collar around his neck that prevented him from transforming; it had a red light lit up on it as well as a key hole to unlock it. Insti-Gator glared at the guard, who glanced from side to side to make sure no one was watching him. He then smiled deviously as he slipped a key under a space at the bottom of the plexiglass wall, to Insti-Gator's feet.
He was surprised as he picked it up and looked at the guard, who walked out with a grin saying, "You can thank me later."
When he was gone Insti-Gator smiled evilly as he stared at the key in his hand and then used it to unlock the collar around his neck. When it came off, he smiled evilly as his eyes became more reptilian and he growled viciously as he started to change. Meanwhile, Hiro had finished dinner as he walked into his room while Baymax watched him from his charger. Hiro put his backpack away before sitting in his chair and opening something on his computer, when he got a call on his cellphone.
He pulled it out of his pocket and smiled to see it was Violet as he answered and said, "Hey Violet."
She was sitting in her bed Indian style as she smiled and said, "Hi Hiro. Are you guys coming tomorrow?"
Hiro smiled as he leaned back in in his chair and said, "Oh yeah. My ground is over, Stan and Winston said the first Black Owl is ready, and they'll let us personally test it tomorrow. They'll fly us straight to Metroville and let us stay for a few hours before flying us back to San Fransokyo."
Violet was thrilled before showing curiosity while she said, "Great! So your aunt is okay with you coming?"
Hiro then looked to the side with unease as he said, "Well, sort of. Aunt Cass agreed to let us go under the condition that she comes with us."
Violet was surprised as she asked, "She's coming too?"
Hiro glanced around in thought while he explained, "Yeah she wants see the Black Owl herself so that she knows for sure it's safe for us."
Violet was still somewhat surprised as she curiously said, "Okay, that's nice. And Wasabi's okay with it too?"
Hiro showed an amused smile as he looked out of the corner of his eye and said, "Well, at first he said no but Go Go has her ways."
Violet chuckled as she knew well what he meant and then she said, "Yeah, she is really persuasive."
Hiro smiled as he glanced to the side and said, "Yeah, they're both bringing their cars, which the Black Owl can transport in the cargo hold. They both wanted to be able to drive around town instead of using cabs."
Violet was pleased as she smiled and happily said, "Great! So when you guys come over we can pretty much do what we want until you have to go."
Hiro frowned slightly as he looked at a picture of his aunt while he said, "Well I don't know about that. Mirage and Winston say they do want us to see if we can do any hero stuff while we're in town, and aunt Cass is pretty serious about me doing my semester project."
Violet showed mild disappointment before smiling optimistically as she said, "Oh. Well that's not so bad. There might not be any crime for us to fight tomorrow. And you can maybe work on your project at our house, so we've still got lots of time to ourselves."
Hiro smiled as he said, "Yeah, you bet. I should go, see you tomorrow."
Violet smiled lovingly as she said, "Can't wait."
She hung up and held her head in her palms as she stared forward with a dreamy smile; Hiro hung up with a loving smile as he stared up at the ceiling.
Baymax then suddenly said, "Hiro. You have yet to start any significant work on your final semester project."
Hiro overconfidently brushed it off as he waved his left hand down as he said, "Relax Baymax, I'll get right on it. You're starting to sound like Go Go and Honey Lemon."
Baymax stared at Hiro as he stated, "They are correct. You are allowing your feelings for Violet to distract you from your responsibilities."
Hiro smiled arrogantly as he started typing on his keyboard while staring at the screen as he said, "Don't worry Baymax. I'm awesome at tuning out distractions. Everything will be fine. Trust me, nothing can distract me from my work."
He jumped in surprise when Cass suddenly yelled, "Hiro! Baymax! Come down here!"
He immediately got out of his seat and hastily said, "Except that! Coming aunt Cass!"
He took Baymax's hand as he dragged him downstairs when they hurried to Cass as she was staring at the TV in shock.
They came up next to her as Baymax said, "You screamed."
Hiro then worriedly asked, "What's wrong aunt Cass?"
She pointed at the TV and yelled, "Look!"
Hiro and Baymax looked at the screen as it showed a live news report showing Insti-Gator running through the streets. He scared people as they ran in terror and climbed on top of a parked car before letting out a loud roar.
Hiro was shocked as he exclaimed, "Insti-Gator?!"
Cass looked at him in shock as she yelled, "You know about that thing?!"
Baymax showed an image from their last battle with Insti-Gator on his chest as he said, "Yes. We were able to apprehend him with the help of Frozone."
Hiro immediately pulled out his phone and called Go Go while saying, "Sorry aunt Cass but we gotta deal with this! Go Go, get the others! Insti-Gator's escaped from prison!"
He hung up and then he dragged Baymax away as they both changed into their superhero gear and prepared to depart. Cass walked up to Hiro's room and stared at them both with worry as she put her hands together and shed a small tear.
Hiro apologized as he sincerely said, "I'm sorry aunt Cass, but I have to do this."
Cass did not change her expression as she said, "I know, and I can't stop you. Just please be careful."
Hiro smiled at her as he said, "Don't worry aunt Cass. Everything will be fine."
He climbed on Baymax's back and they flew out and left while she watched them fly into the sky with a worried expression. In the streets of San Fransokyo, Insti-Gator was still rampaging as he ran in his prison jumpsuit, which was torn on the sleeves and pantlegs, and in the pants for his tail. He stopped when Big Hero 6 assembled on the street in front of him one by one underneath an overpass. Go Go skated in while Honey Lemon slid down a slide she made, Fred jumped down and landed by them, Wasabi got out of his car, and Hiro and Baymax landed.
Hiro climbed off of Baymax as he bravely said, "Sorry Insti-Gator but you busted out just to go right back to prison."
He smiled deviously as he said, "Ah Big Hero 6, a pity you don't have your chilling friend to help you this time."
Wasabi became somewhat nervous but Go Go put her smaller discs on her hands and bravely said, "We don't need him to kick your butt."
Insti-Gator held his hands out as he bared his claws with a psychotic smile as he said, "Well then, let's dance!"
He roared as he jumped at them and tried to smash them but they scattered to avoid him before Go Go threw both of her discs at him. They both hit him in the face as he cried in small pain before glaring at her while her discs returned to her. He roared as he tried to bite her but she skated away from him, then Honey Lemon activated the machine gun mode of her purse. She typed in certain chemicals before rapidly firing pink balls at Insti-Gator, they exploded like firecrackers when they hit him. He raised his arms to shield himself but then he snarled angrily before he ran at her and tried to smash her with his fists. Wasabi jumped in front of her and protect her with both of his plasma shields, which Insti-Gator slammed his fists against, but he forced Wasabi onto his knees.
Wasabi showed a bit of strain as he struggled and admitted, "I do kind of wish my uncle was here right now."
Insti-Gator smiled evilly until he was hit by Baymax's left rocket fist and knocked away from Wasabi as Honey Lemon helped him up. Insti-Gator crashed into one of the supports of the overpass before falling to the ground while Baymax's rocket fist returned to him. Insti-Gator glared at him and Hiro before running toward them on all fours while Baymax took flight, but Insti-Gator roared as he jumped high in the air. He snatched Hiro off of Baymax and landed on his feet as he held Hiro by his chest in front of him while Hiro glared back at him.
Insti-Gator smiled arrogantly as he said, "Let's see how well your team does without their brilliant captain."
Hiro smiled slyly before he held his gloves out and ignited the thrusters in his gloves, burning Insti-Gator's face slightly. He cried in pain as he was momentarily blinded and released Hiro, prompting him to use all four of his thrusters to fly back before landing.
Insti-Gator's vision returned as he snarled viciously and glared at Hiro, who smugly grinned saying, "I've got some tricks of my own."
Insti-Gator then furiously charged toward him when Fred jumped down and landed in front of him before spinning around. His tail swung at Insti-Gator and hit him in the face, knocking him to his side as he let out a small cry of pain. Then Fred turned and gave him a sidekick to his chest knocking Insti-Gator back as he slid across the street on his back before he stopped.
In his suit Fred smiled excitedly as he said, "Ha! Fredzilla vs Insti-Gator! Two lizards clash in a titanic battle!"
Insti-Gator rolled over and got on all fours as he growled angrily, prompting Fred to jump at him to attack again. However, Insti-Gator swung his tail and knocked Fred away, sending him flying and crashing through a metal fence.
Insti-Gator smiled triumphantly as he gloated, "My tail's better than yours."
Hiro then held his fists out as he shot two mini-magnets from the backs of his gauntlets, and they attached to metal streetlights on the sides of the streets. Hiro held his palms out as the red dots lit up along with his mini-magnets and he used them to sort of slingshot himself toward Insti-Gator. He came at him just as Insti-Gator noticed him and Hiro kicked him in the face and made him tumble back as he stopped out from under the overpass. Hiro held his arms out toward the mini-magnets as power to levitate ten feet in the air while his friends gathered behind him.
Honey Lemon was thrilled as she cheered, "Great idea Hiro!"
Go Go was also pleased as she said, "Nice work genius."
He smiled back at them before he lowered himself down and landed just as Insti-Gator got back on his feet and snarled at Big Hero 6. They were not deterred as they smiled confidently while staring at him, clearly having the upper hand in this fight.
Hiro smiled cockily as he said, "Give it up Insti-Gator. You had beginner's luck last time, but we'll beat you this time for sure."
Unbeknownst to them, Sickness was hovering high above the overpass as he looked down and saw Insti-Gator and knew Big Hero 6 was underneath the overpass. He smiled deviously as he pushed something on his right gauntlet with his left thumb and from it rose an i-shaped bomb.
He held it in front of his face as deviously said, "Okay, let's see what you think of this smart guy."
He gently pinched the round part of the bomb and a red light flashed while it beeped and he dropped it as it fell down toward the overpass.
In Fred's suit the beeping could be heard as it played and he curiously said, "Hey, do you guys hear something beeping?"
The others immediately looked at him with nervous expressions when the bomb hit the overpass and exploded on impact. The explosion destroyed a big section of the overpass as everyone looked up and saw a giant cloud of fire and smoke.
They also saw giant chunks of rubble falling toward them as Go Go hastily yelled, "Incoming!"
She immediately skated and grabbed Wasabi and tackled him away while Fred jumped and carried Honey Lemon to safety and Baymax flew and picked up Hiro and carried him to safety. They all narrowly dodged the chunks of concrete that fell down to the street while Insti-Gator watched everything with surprise.
As Big Hero 6 was distracted Sickness flew down in front of him and hovered as he evilly said, "You wanna go back to jail, or you wanna become a REAL villain?"
Insti-Gator smiled wickedly as he was already interested; when the smoke cleared Big Hero 6 reassembled.
Hiro climbed off of Baymax and looked at the others as he asked, "Everyone okay?"
Baymax scanned everyone as he said, "I detect no significant injuries."
Honey Lemon then pointed at the gap in the overpass as she urgently said, "No but there will be if we don't hurry!"
Some cars were driving toward the gap as they slammed the breaks but weren't slowing down enough as the drivers screamed in terror.
Hiro then worriedly said, "Baymax! Honey Lemon! Stop those cars!"
Baymax took Honey Lemon and carried her up as he took flight and she landed on one side of the gap while he landed on another. He held his hands out and grabbed one car and managed to stop it after it pushed him back toward the drop, and Baymax saved it. Honey Lemon typed on her purse before throwing a few colored chem-balls at the edge of the gap. The chem-balls popped and sprouted big purple globs that the cars crashed into, but they easily absorbed the blows while stopping the cars from driving off the edge. Another car fell off the other side of the gap but Baymax flew and caught the car before carrying it back up to the overpass and setting it down.
Hiro then glanced around before looking at Fred, Wasabi, and Go Go as he said, "We should make sure no one else is hurt."
They nodded in agreement before separating; Wasabi used his plasma blades to cut some debris and freed a woman trapped in her car. Go Go skated around and helped the police set up blockades around the scene to prevent anyone else from driving into it. Fred cleared some pieces of debris off the streets before jumping away while Hiro suspiciously stared up at the giant gap the explosion caused.
Big Hero 6 reassembled as Honey Lemon happily said, "Great job everyone! Everything turned out great."
Go Go bitterly folded her arms as she said, "Not everything. Insti-Gator got away."
Realizing she was right, the others frowned while Fred had the top of his suit off as he said, "We had him until the bridge blew up."
Hiro seriously looked at the others as he said, "This was no accident. Someone did this to keep us from catching Insti-Gator."
Realizing he was right, Wasabi pointed at Hiro and said, "Yeah, and they probably had something to do with him escaping prison in the first place."
Honey Lemon was confused as she asked, "But who? And why?"
Hiro was very suspicious as he said, "I'm not sure, but we'd better find out."
A pigeon was watching them from a fire hydrant as it stared at them, revealing itself to be a robot as its eye was a camera zooming in on them. Evelyn, Black Viper, and Larry were watching on her computer in their hideout as the monitor showed this live footage of Big Hero 6.
Larry scowled while Evelyn had a twisted smile as she said, "Well I have to admit, these kids are really smart."
Larry leaned forward with disdain as he said, "Hamada thinks he knows everything! I'm gonna show him who the real genius is!"
Evelyn held her left hand up in front of Larry with stern expression before smiling deviously while she said, "Easy junior. You'll have your fun, but first I think they could be useful to us."
Later at the Lucky Cat Café
Cass was nervously petting Mochi as she sat in her chair until Hiro and Baymax came and Hiro said, "We're back aunt Cass."
Cass immediately put Mochi down and ran to hug Hiro as she said, "Oh thank goodness you're okay! I was so worried!"
Hiro hugged her back before pushing her away as he smiled as he said, "We're fine aunt Cass. Really."
Baymax raised his right finger as he said, "Yes, everyone is safe and unharmed despite the bridge explosion."
Cass was shocked as she said, "Bridge explosion?!"
Hiro showed a stressed expression before holding his hands up as he said, "It's okay! It's okay! We were fighting Insti-Gator under an overpass when it blew up. We avoided the debris and saved more people from getting hurt. Right Baymax?"
Baymax then said, "Yes aunt Cass. Hiro is correct."
She let out a sigh of relief before putting her hands on her hips as he curiously said, "Okay, that makes me feel better. So did you catch the crocodile guy?"
Hiro narrowed his eyes in displeasure as he said, "We had him until the bridge blew up, then he got away."
Baymax turned from Hiro to Cass as he explained, "Hiro believes that someone freed Insti-Gator from prison and then destroyed the bridge to prevent us from apprehending him."
Cass gasped in shock and then asked, "Who would do that?"
Hiro was suspicious as he said, "I don't know, but do have a theory."
Cass sighed again and emotionally looked back and forth between Hiro and Baymax as she said, "I'm just glad you two are back in one piece. Well, two pieces because there are two of you but you get the idea."
She then smiled happily and Hiro smiled as he said, "Thanks aunt Cass."
She then pointed her thumb upstairs as she happily said, "Now get to bed. You've got school tomorrow before our trip to Metroville."
Hiro smiled excitedly as he said, "So you're still okay with me going?"
She smiled as she pointed at him and said, "As long as I can come too, to make sure you don't get yourself into any more trouble, especially with Violet."
He chuckled a bit as he said, "Thanks aunt Cass."
He smiled as he walked up to his room while Baymax followed him and then Cass tiredly went to her own bedroom.
Author's note: That's the end of chapter 7. I'm sure most of you can see where this is going. Hiro and Violet's relationship will really start to peak, which will cause some problems. I won't spoil too much this will lead to trouble later on. Now, Insti-Gator is free and will join the villains and Big Hero 6 are getting suspicious, but there's still more going on than they realize. The next chapter will be a bit of a break from their devious planning. Please review.
