The Omni-Team plus Scarlett and Emma shouted out in fury, chasing after Aggregor as he flew slightly above them and blasted out a powerful lightning blast that sent a rock formation toppling over as Scarlett leaped up and sliced the formation in two with her powerful katana before landing as Jen as Four Arms and Ben as Codonite nodded to each other.
"You're not getting away from us this time, Aggregor!" Codonite shouted.
"I doubt that," Aggregor said as he walked in front of what looked to be a door jutting up from a set of stairs in front of him. "Yawatacsip!"
As that word left his lips, different runes appeared all along the door's rim started to glow and the door opened to reveal a portal that gave the appearance of a purple swirling void.
Scarlett then gasped as she recognized the portal.
"No. It can't be."
Aggregor smirked before running through the portal and was then followed by the Omni-Team as the door began to close. However, Gwen and Emma all groaned as they held their heads, aching from a slight migraine.
"You okay?" Kevin asked.
"We're fine. Just go," Gwen said. "If the portal closes, we'll never be able to follow."
And then, the door closed just as Codonite tried to close it by jamming his summoned spear between it.
"NO!" Ally shouted as she, Codonite, Kung Fang and Kevin tried to bust it down.
"You're wasting your strength," Gwen said, crossing her arms. "That's the Door to Anywhere. Nothing can breach it."
"The Door to Any What?" Four Arms asked.
"It's kind of a mystic crossroads," Scarlett explained. "It's a portal to any destination. Fortunately, we Protectors don't need to use it since our enchantlets allow us to open smaller portals to any dimension. We'd never be able to fulfill our duties to the multiverse if we didn't have that ability."
"Then let's go," Kevin said.
"It's not that simple," Scarlett explained. "We don't know where Aggregor's going. In order to use my portals or the Door to Anywhere to its full ability, we have to know the true name of the place we're going to."
"No problem," Codonite said as he and Jen transformed back to human and Ben took a rock and started drawing the same runes from the door into the sand.
"You got all that just by looking at it?" Becky asked.
"Sure."
"You know, you really aren't living up to your potential in school, Ben," Gwen said.
"That's what the teachers tell me. Besides, I only want to graduate high school at the same time as you, Jen, Becky, Julie and Justin and get my diploma. Not be a Nobel Prize winning genius like Sheldon Cooper."
"Something tells me that the way things are going for us, we're gonna get that Nobel Prize either way," Jen said, putting her hand on her chin.
"There. Now what?"
"All I have to do is speak the word and the door will open," Scarlett said as she looked at the runes. "If Ben got it right..."
"So..."
"I can read this. But considering the destination, we could use a little more help."
"Oh, what we have isn't enough?" Ally asked.
"For magic? We can do better," Scarlett smirked before she leaned in and whispered into Gwen's ear.
Gwen then whipped out her phone and gave a call. "Yeah. We're at the Door to Anywhere. We kind of need you... and your sister."
And that was when a small tornado of purple energy swirled around an area in the sky above them and Hope suddenly appeared with a flourish as she smiled to her friends.
"You rang, Gwen?" the young master magician asked.
"Yeah. Aggregor escaped into this place using the Door to Anywhere."
Hope then looked on at the runes and then gasped.
"No way," she said. "This is Ledgerdomain."
"Ledgerdomain?" Jen asked.
"Legend says that all known magic in the multiverse originates from Ledgerdomain," Scarlett said. "I spent most of my magic training in Ledgerdomain, feeling myself absorb the magical essence surrounding me as my powers grew stronger and stronger the more I trained. If you want to be a powerful mage, there's no better place to train than the source."
"Me and my sister grew up there," Hope said. "That's why our magic is as powerful as it is."
"We could use her help," Gwen said as Hope raised an eyebgrow.
"I know Hope loves her sister and all, Gwen. But you know she hates you with every fiber of her being," Hope said. "She could kill you the second she saw you."
"But if Aggregor is threatening Ledgerdomain, then this involves her too. I think she's going to want to help defend her own home."
"I'm not going to argue. I just want you to know if you thought this through."
"Believe me, I have," Gwen said. "We'll be back in a few minutes."
Gwen and Hope then held hands and closed their eyes as they teleported away in a flash of magenta light.
"So, taking your arguments on both sides now?" Becky asked.
"Better to be prepared," Ben shrugged.
Enchantress meditated to herself in her chamber of Hex's castle, reading her large copy of the Archamada Book of Magic and her bag of tricks by her side just as her sister and arch nemesis teleported in.
"Enchantress. We need your help," Gwen said as the sorceress turned around to face her two rivals.
"Gwen Tennyson," Enchantress said as the book closed and fell to the duo's level as she floated down to them. "What a coincidence. I was just thinking about you. And you, Hope."
"Ooh, you called me by my real name. Progress," Hope joked with a roll of her eyes.
"Yeah," Enchantress said before she pulled her staff from her bag as Hope summoned her own staff and the two fired out equally powerful blasts of magic as Gwen fired her own mana beams out. Thanks to the double team, Enchantress was knocked to the ground as Gwen and Hope stood over her.
"We don't have time for this," Gwen said. "The universe is in danger."
"You two have more immediate problems."
Enchantress flew down to attack when Gwen suddenly leaped up, grabbed her staff and judo flipped her rival to the ground, twirled the staff around and pointed the end at her face with a smirk.
Hope then flew down herself and tackled Enchantress, pinning her arms to the ground as she laid her knees on her sister's chest.
"Whoa," Enchantress said, impressed. "When did you get so strong?"
"Same time I joined the Plumbers," Hope answered, giving a slight flex. "Now just listen to me for once in your life. There's this crazed super Osmosian named Aggregor who's gathering power objects and-"
"Reptilicus!"
Gwen stepped back, letting go of the staff as it changed into a snake before instantly reverting back to staff form.
"You seriously haven't learned to do that yet?" Enchantress asked as she blasted Hope off of her and she flew back in the air.
"She doesn't have her own staff yet. How could she?"
"Meus manus manus!"
The staff flew back into its owners hands and she sent out a blast of magic that Gwen blocked with a mana wall, grunting out as her best friend teleported to her side and put up her own magic forcefield to strengthen their protection.
"We chased Aggregor to the Door to Anywhere!" Gwen finally blurted out. "He escaped to Ledgerdomain!"
"Ledgerdomain?" Enchantress asked, suddenly stopping her attack as Gwen and Hope nodded.
"I may lie to you, but would Hope?"
Hope then gave out an innocent smile as Enchantress only sighed and shook her head.
"Let's roll."
"Is it bigger than a bread box?" Jen asked as the rest of the Omni-Team, plus Scarlett and Emma, rested at the steps of the door.
"Yeah," Kevin said. "Nineteen questions left."
"Is it an Incursean battle cruiser with ion drive?" Ben asked.
"Yeah. How do you always guess so fast?"
"Because with you, it's always either a car or a ship," Becky said with a smile.
"That's not true. Sometimes it's a weapon."
"Right," Emma said with a wink.
And that was the point that Gwen, Hope and Enchantress appeared in a flash of magenta light by them.
"Enchantress," Jen said with a smile. "It's good to see you on our side for once."
"Don't get used to it," Enchantress said with narrowed eyes.
"Gwen, you trust her?" Ally asked.
"I trust Enchantress to stab us in the back the first chance she gets, but we'll worry about that after we find Aggregor."
"Ledgerdomain, eh?" Enchantress asked, reading the runes.
"Yes," Scarlett said with a nod. "Though technically, Ledgerdomain is only what the natives call it. The door only responds to a place's secret true name. Which, while we're on the subject, is pronounced Yawatacsip!"
As that word left her lips, the door glowed with its runes once again and the Door to Anywhere opened itself to reveal the portal to Ledgerdomain.
"After you," Hope said, bowing to Emma as she entered with the others following one by one as the Door closed behind them.
And as soon as they entered, Jen, Gwen, Emma, Hope, Scarlett and Enchantress all instantly felt a massive surge of power running through them, as if the dimension itself was strengthening their magic power.
The team looked out to see a void full of purple magic energy with a ton of rocky paths lining their way.
"It's smaller than I remember," Enchantress said.
"You come here a lot?" Ben asked.
"It's none of your business what I do in my spare time."
"Whoa," Emma said, creating balls of mana in her hands that practically oozed with magic power. "I... I feel..."
"Powerful? Of course you do. This is Ledgerdomain," Scarlett said with a nod as she stuck her Keyblade out. "Ultima!"
A huge blast of magic built up before it was sent flying from her Keyblade, absolutely obliterating a huge boulder near them, blowing everyone's hair back as Scarlett smirked and sheathed her Keyblade.
"Whoa!" Becky said. "That was way more powerful than we've ever seen you perform."
"All known magic in the multiverse flows from this dimension. All mana and magic power is supercharged by tenfold here," the warrior queen explained.
"Every mage knows that," Enchantress said, crossing her arms.
"Ooh, let me try," Jen said as she thrust her fists out and her usual mana beam came out as a massive burst of energy and raw power that instantly reduced a large floating boulder in the distance to dust. "Whoa. Gwen, we should go on missions here more often."
"No kidding," Gwen chuckled.
"On top of that, the Alpha Rune is here," Hope said. "I think that's what Aggregor is after."
"What's the Alpha Rune?" Kevin asked.
"Words have power," Enchantress said. "The Alpha Rune is the secret true name of magic. Whoever holds it has the ultimate power over magic itself."
"And judging on our past encounters, I think that this Alpha Rune is actually a piece of the Map of Infinity," Ben said.
"Definitely," Emma said. "I mean, the pieces are always disguised as whatever is the hardest thing to get in the place it's located."
"The Alpha Rune hangs around the neck of Addwaitya, one of the most powerful mystics who ever lived," Hope said.
"There you go," Kevin said.
"No questions. That's definitely where Aggregor is heading," Scarlett said. "If there's any piece of the Map that Aggregor can't be allowed to have, it's definitely this one."
"No kidding," Jen said. "The Alpha Rune belongs in the Mystic Isles. Something that powerful is way too dangerous for any one mage to have."
"Okay," Becky said before turning to Hope and Enchantress. "You two and Scarlett know this place better than we do. Lead the way."
"You got it," Hope confirmed with a nod as she pointed her staff forwards and she and Enchantress lead the group through Ledgerdomain.
"Stay with us," Enchantress said. "Things are not as they appear in this dimension."
"Seriously," Gwen said, almost getting drunk on the power that now flowed through here. "There's so much mana and magic here that it makes my teeth rattle in their sockets."
"I get it," Enchantress said. "You and Jen are naturals, Gwen. Hope and I study our whole lives to be master sorceresses and you pick up my spellbook and you two are suddenly instantly outmagicking me."
"Hey, we're half Anodite," Emma said, getting into Enchantress' face on a mana platform. "It's not our fault that magic literally runs through our veins."
"I'll think about that when I'm at Jen's next photo shoot," Hope noted with a wink.
"Okay, screw this," Jen deadpanned. "Ben, we need to hire a manager for our appearances."
"Definitely," Ben said. "But they have to work for us. We don't work for them."
"You see, Enchantress, a sorcerer's magic is powered by their mana or life energy," Scarlett explained. "Most sorcerers can only manipulate their own life energy to use magic, but Anodites have the ability to control mana itself."
"Oh, please," Enchantress said as she turned to Gwen. "Scarlett, Hope and Jen are the only real sorceresses here. After all, the three of them are classically trained. You? You're an... an idiot savant!"
"What did you say about my sister?" Becky asked, pulling out her spear.
"We're pretty sure it was an insult," Ally said, putting her dukes up.
"But I'm sure she won't say it again," Kevin said. "After all, words have power. Isn't that right, Elise?"
"Oh, please," Enchantress said. "You all know that's not my secret true name."
"I gave mine a long time ago, Faith," Hope said, crossing her arms. "You know as well as any of us that I stopped using the name Charmcaster because I wanted to embrace who I truly am. A sorceress, a heroine, and most of all, Gwen's best friend!"
"If you want me, you're gonna have to get through her," Gwen nodded, putting an arm around Hope's shoulder. "And I know the one thing you'll never do is hurt your own sister."
"You are... absolutely right," Enchantress sighed.
"Sometimes, I forget that other people lie too," Kevin whispered.
As the team approached a crossroads with several paths branching off, Hope put her arm in front as Scarlett summoned Crimson Justice to her hand and closed her eyes, almost using her Keyblade as a dowsing rod, shooting out a light that searched before it shot down a single path.
"This way," Scarlett said before sheathing her Keyblade and leading the way to Aggregor.
The Omni-Team minus Gwen looked up and Emma hugged Ben's leg as he leaned down and picked her up, petting her head as they looked up at a rock formation of a giant monster looming over them with its teeth gnashing out at them.
"Don't worry, sis. It doesn't bite," Ben said.
"I know," Emma said, holding Ben's collar. "But I have a feeling that thing does something."
And as they approached another clearing, tons of magical stone creatures ran out roaring outwards as the Omni-Team adjusted their watches and instantly changed into their hero suits and Scarlett and Becky pulled out their weapons.
"Oh," Jen said, looking down. "It's a motion detector."
"For instance."
The stone creatures roared out and grabbed Enchantress off the ground and Hope flew up in retaliation and fired out some fireballs that blew a few up. Kevin and Ally ran in and absorbed the stone from the creatures as they ran up to the creature holding Enchantress and Kevin gave an uppercut while Ally leaped up and gave a reverse spin kick to knock its head off.
"Emma! Put put up a forcefield!"
"Gotcha!"
Emma put up a large mana wall that the stone creatures just could not bust through as Emma giggled.
"Wow! These enhanced powers are amazing!"
"Wait until they become permanent with your training," Jen said as she leaped out and thrust her fists out, obliterating several of the creatures with a massive mana beam.
"My turn!" Ben said as he slammed his Ultimatrix core down and transformed into...
"Lifeforce!" the Anodite shouted, instantly feeling the effects of Ledgerdomain enhancing his powers as he shot out a tornado of mana energy that swept several stone creatures of their feet, sending them flying into the depths below.
"Eradico!" Enchantress shouted, obliterating three stone creatures in front of her to dust
Gwen nodded and blocked a few pounds with her mana forcefield before she gave out a shout of fury and sent it spreading outwards, obliterating the stone creatures around her to dust.
"Whoa," Gwen said as Becky ran in and spun her spear, absorbing one of Hope's magic blasts into the blade before she spun it around and gave out a swipe that beheaded six of the stone creatures and their bodies crumbled to dust.
Scarlett focused her power, rubbing her gloved hands together and then gave a shout out as she put her hands together and started focusing her energy.
"Kamehameha!" she shouted out as she gave out a powerful blast of mana-focused energy that instantly caused the remainder of the stone creatures to disintigrate.
"Wow!" Emma said as she gave out a blast of mana that destroyed the last stone creature. "You can use Kamehameha?"
"Mmm-hmm," Scarlett nodded. "It's an ancient martial arts technique, powered by your ki, which is another term for life energy. Anyone can do it with the proper training."
"Hey," Lifeforce said. "Why can't you two just order them around like always?"
"It doesn't work that way here, Ben," Enchantress said. "All of the ones my sister and I summon follow us because we freed them from Addwaitya's torment."
"Why don't I believe anything you say to me?" Gwen asked.
"It's true, Gwen," Hope assured. "And if you want to survive in this dimension, you'd better start believing her. And if not her, believe me."
"We've been dealing with these things since we were kids. We were born here."
"And you should never have returned," a mysterious voice said.
The team turned around to see the projection of a giant Geochlone Aerio, the same species as Galapagus with large claws at the end of each flipper and his head was engulfed in purple flames.
"Addwaitya!" Hope and Enchantress shouted.
"Or did you two expect to travel the realm of Ledgerdomain and somehow escape the gaze of the great Addwaitya?"
Addwaitya shot out a blast of magic that sent a ton of plants growing up out of the ground and binded most of the team. Scarlett and Becky, however, took out their katana and machete respectively and sliced the vines to ribbons as they faced the projection.
"The only thief around here is a guy called Aggregor!" Lifeforce shouted as he shot mana flames at the roots around him.
"We're more like... well-meaning trespassers," Kevin said before his mouth was bound up.
"All that lives steals mana from me. The Alpha Rune is mine! You should well know, daughters of my enemies, what happens to those who defy my will."
"Well excuse us for living!" Hope shouted, feeling the rocks below her slowly encase her. She turned to Enchantress and nodded as her charm bag opened and several flowers levitated out and Hope's eyes started glowing. "Effervo!"
The flowers started spinning like buzzsaws as they destroyed the roots encasing everyone as Jen, Emma and Gwen all sent out three massive blasts of mana that blew Addwaitya's image away.
"Yikes," Ally said.
"I know," Gwen said. "Someday, I'll be as powerful as that when I'm not in Ledgerdomain."
"Follow me," Lifeforce said before morphing into Cannonbolt and spun around, crashing through all of the rocks that grew as the entire team followed him as Scarlett also used her katana to slice through any rocks that grew by her as well.
"There's no escape," Addwaitya said before laughing maniacally.
"That thing around Addwaitya's neck," Emma said. "Was that-"
"The Alpha Rune," Scarlett confirmed. "The secret true name of all magic. It gives him absolute power over all of Ledgerdomain."
"Look," Enchantress said. "This is hopeless. We should get out of here while we still can."
And that was when a roar was heard and the team looked to see stone pterodactyl creatures flew down and blast beams at the team as Scarlett and Emma suddenly generated a powerful forcefield to protect them from the magenta beams.
"What are those things?" Kevin asked.
"Scrutins," Hope answered. "They're Addwaitya's eyes and ears in Ledgerdomain."
"Where are the ears?" Becky asked.
"I've got a spell of concealment, but I need time," Enchantress said.
The scrutins then flew in, bursting the shield into pieces as Becky pulled out her bow and fired a few arrows out that destroyed a few scrutins.
"Let's buy her some time," Ben said as he slammed his Ultimatrix down and transformed into...
"Chromastone!" the Crystalsapien shouted as Jen nodded and transformed into...
"Mewmoth!" the Mewman shouted as she shouted out and smirked before rubbing her hands together and fired out a mist from her hands that blinded the scrutins as they flew around aimlessly. "Jellybean hallucination mist. Works every time."
Chromastone absorbed a few blasts from the scrutins and then smirked as his body glowed with the energy. "Try not to look surprised!" He then destroyed them with his own ultraviolet beams, destroying them on contact.
Gwen and Emma fired their mana beams from their hands that instanttly obliterated the scrutins that flew near them while Kevin and Ally used their hammer arms to smash them to pieces once they flew by. Scarlett focused and closed her eyes before she flicked her hands, summoning two boomerangs out that spun through the scrutins near her, smashing them to pieces.
But as hard as our heroes fought, an entire flock of scrutins flew in to replace the ones that the team destroyed.
Enchantress and Hope nodded to each other as they closed their eyes and held hands.
"Velieris mihi," they both chanted. "Occultus!"
"Hope? Enchantress?" Gwen asked.
"Working on it!" Enchantress shouted as both of them flew around the team, their hands shooting out a mist that shielded the team from the scrutins' view.
"Velieris meus amicitia! Occultus!"
"Cool," Emma said as the dome of misty energy completed and the scrutins all flew around it aimlessly unable to see the heroes.
"Shh!" Hope hushed as Emma zipped her lip and then smiled. "It's working."
Indeed, the scrutins gave up and flew away from the scene, leaving behind some very relieved heroes.
"You know, I'd feel better if we were still invisible," Ally said as they continued their journey through the magic dimension.
"They can't do it while we're moving," Scarlett explained.
"You two said you grew up here," Jen suggested. "Maybe some of your people could help us."
"There aren't that many left," Enchantress explained. "Addwaitya enslaved everyone."
"Our father fought against him," Hope said, bowing her head. "He died getting the two of us and Uncle Hex out of here."
"We're so sorry," Gwen said as she pulled her best friend into a hug. "We didn't know."
"I know I should've told you sooner, Gwen. But it's just personal to me."
"Then we'll have to help you guys," Ben said. "Which way?"
"Down here," Enchantress said, showing a path leading downwards that lead straight down. They continued under this path until they reached a break in the path.
"End of the line," Kevin sighed. "Any ideas?"
"Maybe-" Emma began, only to be interrupted by Gwen.
"Wait. Do you hear that?"
"Why keep trying?"
"You're not worth it."
"Lost cause. Lost cause."
"I hear it too," Jen said.
"So do I," Scarlett said. "But I refuse to listen to that voice. I carve my own path."
"It only takes one step."
Hope gasped, putting her hands to her mouth. "I can hear our father's voice."
"Yes, my dear sweet Hope. It's me. We're all here. Come be with us."
"Daddy..." Enchantress said, a tear welling in her eye.
"One step... one step... We can all be together again."
Enchantress gave a smile as she was about to take a step, only for Emma to step in and catch her in her strong mana grip, grunting as the sorceress struggled in her grasp.
"Let me go!"
"Don't listen to it!" Emma shouted. "That thing wants you to kill yourself!"
"Don't stop. You're almost home."
"Sis, please!" Hope shouted, pulling back on Enchantress as well. "Do you really think that Daddy would want us to jump off a bridge? He would want us to move on!"
"That's easy for you to say! You have friends. You have something to live for now!"
"So do you! ME!"
Enchantress gasped as she fell back to the ground and Emma released her grip.
"Nasty trick," Emma said.
"Well, we've got one or two of our own," Jen said as she focused and shot her hands out, trying to create a mana bridge, but it just kept shattering against a barrier halfway through. She, Gwen and Emma each tried the trick on their own to no avail.
"No matter how much mana we use, it can't get across," Gwen noticed.
"Don't listen to them," Hope and Enchantress' father said in their heads. "I'm your father. Come be with me."
"It's a mystic sinkhole," Scarlett said. "You three don't have enough power. No one does!"
"One step... One step..."
"No one has to," Ben said, stepping up.
"Yeah, come on, Faith," Becky said, helping Enchantress up. "We're a team."
The six mages of the group stood as Gwen grasped Hope's hand, Jen grabbed Scarlett's hand and Emma lightly grasped Enchantress' hand, all of their eyes glowing either magenta or, in the case of Scarlett, white.
"We've got the power, you've got the knowledge," Jen said.
The six all shot their grasped hands outwards with a shout. "Perturbo!"
"HOPELESS!"
The spell created a large mana bridge that had two claws at the end that grasped the end of the bridge.
"It won't work."
Two more claws shot out to support the other end of the bridge as the magic users' eyes stopped glowing.
"It's no use!"
"Let's go!" Ally shouted as the entire team all ran across the makeshift bridge as fast as they could. Fortunately, all ten of them made it to the other side before Gwen and Enchantress both cheered and hugged, jumping in the air.
"YES!"
Realizing what they were doing, they stopped jumping and stood back.
"Right. You want me dead."
"Dead is a strong word at this point," Enchantress said. "Maybe just badly hurt?"
"It's a start," Hope said with a shrug.
Later, the team had trekked through a forest with tons of dead trees and looked up to see alarge castle in the distance.
"That's Addwaitya's fortress, isn't it?" Becky asked.
"I'm afraid so," Scarlett confirmed.
"You'll find the Alpha Rune around his fat scaley neck. "Although knowing how powerful he is, I don't know how you plan to take it."
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves," Ben said as the team crossed the bridge to the citadel.
Soon, bursting out of the trees came a large green reptilian creature with stony spines growing out of its back, roaring at our heroes viciously.
Jen and Scarlett both stood back to back as they generated a powerful forcefield that protected everyone from the creature's gnashing teeth.
"What is that thing?!" Kevin asked Hope and Enchantress.
"The Palorfang. It's sort of a watchdog for the citadel," Hope explained.
"Vicious," Enchantress said as she and her sister summoned their staves to their hands.
The Palorfang gave massive chomp after massive chomp to the forcefield as it slowly cracked.
"Let us out."
Scarlett nodded as she dispelled the forcefield and the two sorceress sisters blasted the Palorfang back with a blast of magic from their staves.
"Scatter!" Jen ordered.
The Palorfang began to chomp down at Ben, but Kevin jumped in and held it back with his immense strength.
"Kevin!" Ally and Gwen shouted as the Palorfang shot its tongue out and dragged Kevin into his mouth.
But then, the mouth was forced open as Kevin absorbed the material from the Palorfang's teeth and pried the jaw open and grew spikes all over his body.
"It's about time somebody bit you back!"
The Palorfang gave a mighty shake and tossed Kevin out before it blasted out with magic beams from its eyes.
Ben leaped up and transformed into Humungousaur and gave a diving punch that the Palorfang avoided as it leaped back and blasted the Vaxasaurian with his magic eye lasers. The Palorfang charged forwards and Humungousaur picked up a tree and tried to use it as a bat, only for the Palorfang to chomp down on it with little effort.
"Uh-oh."
A flash of pink light came from behind him and Jen had transformed into Fury and gave out a roar as she gave out a right hook and a jab that slammed the Palorfang back into her brother, who gave out his own flurry of punches.
Growing angry, the Palorfang charged forwards into Humungousaur, who tried to push back against it as it charged towards a cliff. Thinking quickly, Becky knocked an explosive arrow and shot it at the Palorfang's feet, sending it flying over Humungousaur as they both fell off the cliff and Scarlett shot her fist out, causing a bit of rock to protrude out and catch her godson before he fell.
Ally absorbed the ground beneath her and took Humungousaur's massive hand, pulling him back up onto the floating island in the magic void.
"That was close," Becky said.
"You killed my pet!" Addwaitya's voice boomed out.
The team looked up to see Addwaitya emerge from his castle, their target hanging from his neck.
"You got that right," Humungousaur said. "And we're about to usurp your throne. Tough day to be you."
"Your bravery amuses me," Addwaitya scoffed. "My might has long since cowed any resistance that dared once challenge me."
"Is that your way of saying you killed our father?!' Hope shouted as she and Enchantress gave out a dual magic blast from their staves that Addwaitya blocked with his arm that actually singed his arm.
"You actually managed to hurt me. You must be Spellbinder's daughters."
"Guilty as charged!" Enchantress shouted hatefully as she and Hope sent out another blast of magic energy, but Addwaitya was ready for them this time.
He grasped the Alpha Rune and generated an invisible field that blocked the blasts. He then blasted out two magic beams from his eyes that sent the sisters skittering to the ground.
"Hope! Enchantress!" Gwen said, running to them. "You okay?"
"We're fine," Hope said, getting up.
"Why return when your entire thieving race couldn't stop me?"
"Because this time, they have us!" Fury said as Humungousaur slapped his Ultimatrix symbol and morphed into...
"Lifeforce!" the Anodite shouted as his sister transformed back to human before focusing as she morphed into her own Anodite form.
"And because every single creature you've enslaved wants their freedom. And you'll never enslave us all!"
"Now it's time you face the might of the Protectors!" Scarlett shouted, baring her Keyblade to the giant magic turtle alien.
Hope, Enchantress, Gwen and Emma all put their hands together and sent out a converged blast of mana that sent Addwaitya crashing into his castle and he gave out a laugh as Scarlett nodded and gave a few hand motions as she turned invisible.
"Fools! All magic is mine!"
Addwaitya shouted out as he blasted out a beam of magic from his eyes and Jen and Lifeforce flew in and fired their own dual blasts of mana fire that pushed back against the powerful attack and sent it to Becky, who absorbed the energy into the blades of her spear before sending out two of her own blasts of the energy from it, sending the turtle alien skittering back.
The invisible Scarlett focused as she pulled a dagger from her belt and twirled it in her hand, ready.
Gwen, Enchantress and Hope flew in from above and blasted down with three differently charged magic blasts that enveloped Addwaitya in a plume of smoke. Sadly, these proved ineffective as their hated enemy had blocked it all by grasping the Alpha Rune. Addwaitya then used his magic to grow giant spikes from the ground before blasting the trio out of the sky.
"Amplus Mica!" Hope shouted as she sent out a wave of magic that turned the spikes into harmless daisies.
Addwaitya approached and blasted out a blast from his hand that froze the trio in pink crystal.
"Delinquents! Ledgerdomain is mine!"
"Let them go!" Ally shouted as she, Becky and Kevin stood on a tree as Becky took aim with her bow. "Or we're having turtle soup for lunch!"
Addwaitya simply shrugged this off and froze them in crystal as well before they could attack. And he noticed Emma trying to sneak up behind him to take the Alpha Rune, but she was instantly frozen into crystal as well.
"And there you shall remain for eternity. A living testament to the fate of those who dare oppose my will."
"Guys!" Jen shouted as she and her brother nodded. "You sure you're ready? You've never used it before."
"No better time than now."
Jen nodded and focused as she let out a scream of fury as she morphed into her Master Spark form. Lifeforce followed suit as he slammed the Ultimatrix core on his chest and transformed into a nearly identical version of it, but with his green bodysuit still intact and a more bulky muscular figure than her's, although the flaming pink wings were still very much apparent.
"ULTIMATE LIFEFORCE!"
"You may have ultimate control over magic, but Anodites are beings made of magic!" Jen shouted as she gave out a more powerful beam of magic than she ever mustered before, sending Addwaitya skittering into the dirt
Ultimate Lifeforce gave out a cry of fury as he summoned his giant broadsword that was charged with mana as he flew forwards and gave a massive slash to Addwaitya (specifically his neck) as the invisible Scarlett leaped forwards and made her move.
"Had enough?" Ultimate Lifeforce asked.
"Come over here and find out!" Addwaitya shouted, reaching to his neck and found nothing there.
He was then wrapped up by large vines growing from the ground and blasted with a massive surge of electricity, causing him to scream out in pain as he fell to the ground, unconscious. And there standing behind him was the man they had entered Ledgerdomain to chase in the first place.
"Aggregor!" Jen shouted.
"Thanks for the distraction, Ben and Jen Tennyson," Aggregor said as he stuck up his hand, and then found nothing there.
"Yeah, about that..." Scarlett said as she suddenly appeared as she clutched the Alpha Rune in her hand as it glowed and shifted into the third piece of the Map of Infinity. "Work smarter. Not harder."
"Give me the Alpha Rune or you'll regret ever crossing my path!" Ultimate Aggregor demanded.
"Like I already don't!" Scarlett countered as she stuck her Keyblade out and quickly summoned a portal.
"Scarlett! Get out of here!"
"Right!" Scalrett shouted as she leaped through the portal with the map piece in hand and escaped as the portal instantly closed behind her.
"NO!" Aggregor shouted in fury. "I'll get you yet, Scarlet Warrior!"
And then, Aggregor was surrounded by a flash of bright light and then vanished. And then, another portal appeared as Scarlett leaped back through another portal and summoned a warhammer that smashed the crystals holding her allies to pieces.
"Thanks, Scarlett," Emma said as Scarlett picked her up.
"What kind of Guardian would I be if I left you in there?"
"My... my power..." Addwaitya said, grasping at his bare neck before he looked up. "Guards!"
Addwaitya's stone creature guards rose up from the ground and surrounded the ten heroes as they stood, ready for battle.
But before anything could happen, everyone felt a massive rumbling beneath them as several trees fell to the ground and Addwaitya looked up as his citadel began to crumble.
"The Alpha Rune was holding a lot of this place together!" Hope shouted.
"Then now would be a good time to find the nearest exit!" Becky recommended as everyone turned tail and headed back for the Door to Anywhere.
"Get them!" Addwaitya ordered his guards as the ground fell away beneath him and the citadel completely fell to rubble behind him.
As the heroes departed, the guards behind them fell into the abyss as well and looked out and Jen and Ultimate Lifeforce levitated their allies up in the air before they all made it to the gateway.
"Okay," Ultimate Lifeforce said. "We managed to outsmart Aggregor and got another piece of the map."
"That makes our two to his one," Jen said. "There's only one piece left."
"One situation at a time!" Kevin shouted as tons of scrutins soared down above them and fired out magic blasts at them as Gwen and Emma put up a forcefield to protec tthem.
"Guys, we need that doorway back!" Ally shouted.
"But this is my chance to stop Addwaitya for good!" Enchantress protested. "He's weakened. I could break his control over the rock creatures and the scrutins and-"
"As much as I hate to say this, we have bigger problems to attend to at the moment, sis," Hope said.
"She's right," Scarlett said. "Aggregor comes first. We have to save the entire universe before we save this realm. Then, I promise you that we'll come back here and free your people."
"Give me some elbow room," Enchantress said as she, Hope and Scarlett stepped up as Scarlett sheathed her Keyblade and rubbed her hands together.
"Hitrae!" they all shouted as the Door to Anywhere opened in front of them.
"Go! Get out! I'll cover you!"
And then, the nine other heroes all ran out of the Door with Hope coming last as she looked back at her sister, who just stood there.
"Enchantress!" Gwen shouted.
"Sis!" Hope shouted.
"Go. Your destiny is with the Plumbers, Hope. My destiny is right here."
A flurry of scrutins flew out to the heroes just as the door closed.
"NO!" Gwen and Hope shouted as they banged on the closed door and the twins transformed back to human form and touched down on the ground.
"The runes for Ledgerdomain are gone," Jen noticed as she looked at the ground and on the door. "All of them!"
"She knew this would happen," Emma realized.
"What happened?" Ally asked.
"With the Alpha Rune gone, there's no easy way to get back to Ledgerdomain," Scarlett explained. "Enchantress stayed there on purpose to try to free her people. And she didn't want to put you in danger, Hope, so she sent you back out to be with your friends."
Hope hit her knees and a tear welled up in her eye as Ben walked down and took her hands.
"Hope, we're gonna make you a promise. Someday, we're going back to help her."
"Absolutely," Becky said with a nod. "But first..."
"There's one more piece of the Map of Infinity left," Jen said. "And we must ensure that Aggregor doesn't get his grubby little hands on it."
