6 Incredible Heroes Divided By 3
Before you read: This will have another break from the bad guys and their plans. I'll also have a nice montage again, and some moments to lighten the mood for a bit. Enjoy.
Inspiration
It was Friday afternoon when the Parrs came to San Fransokyo again and then they drove their station wagon to SFIT. After pulling up and parking the car they went inside to the lab and happily went to the lab to find Fred, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, and Go Go.
Fred was in his mascot costume as he pulled up the top of his mask and said, "Hey Parrs! Welcome back to SFIT!"
They smiled as Helen happily said, "Thanks Fred."
Dash happily zipped over to Go Go as she smiled at him with her bike before she threw one of the wheels into a box full of other wheels. Honey Lemon happily took Jack-Jack and showed her a new experiment as she released one drop of a chemical into a beaker of another chemical. Once it fell in the reaction caused a purple puff of smoke to harmlessly appear in front of them before fading while they watched. Jack-Jack giggled happily and Bob and Helen went to see Wasabi as he showed them something he was working on. Seeing the rest of her family distracted, Violet backed out of the lab and snuck off to find Hiro in his lab while Baymax watched.
She smiled happily as she walked to him and said, "Hey Hiro."
He slyly grinned at her over his shoulder as he said, "Afternoon Violet Incredible."
She chuckled at his joke while Baymax waved his right hand in a circular motion and said, "Hello."
She smiled as she walked over to Hiro and asked, "You figure out what to do for your project yet."
Hiro let out a small groan of frustration as he said, "Still working on it."
Violet smiled as she encouraged and said, "Keep trying."
She then walked over to his desk near the window and glanced around curiously before noticing Hiro's Microbots and neural transmitter.
She smiled as she put the neural transmitter on her head and said, "Hey, maybe you can use your new Microbots to help you build something."
Hiro was typing on his computer with his eyes glued to the monitor as he dismissed, "No, that's against the rules. We can't use anything related to old projects for new projects."
She frowned in disappointment before smiling as she made the Microbots fly out of the bucket together as she watched them and made them take different shapes and forms. They flew together in a cloud of Microbots and she made them take the shape of a spiked ball, a diamond, and then a simple humanoid shape.
She smiled as she got an idea and said, "Hey Hiro! Check this out!"
He turned to look at her and watched as she held her right hand up with her fingers out and made a force-field around the Microbots. She maintained it easily while made the Microbots move inside to look like a man was trapped inside and banging on the force-field.
Hiro chuckled as he said, "Nice Violet. You're really good at staying focused."
She smiled as she modestly said, "Well I don't have to focus that hard to do something like this. I'll bet Dash could do this if he had my powers."
Hiro showed an amused smile as he said, "How about Jack-Jack?"
Violet smiled as she said, "Well Jack-Jack can do tons of stuff."
Hiro chuckled before glancing at the door as he stood up and said, "Okay Violet, you'd better stop before someone sees you."
She nodded in agreement as dropped her force-field and then made the Microbots fly back into the bucket before taking off the neural transmitter, while Baymax watched.
Violet smiled at Hiro as she said, "There, all of them back where they belong."
Baymax spoke up as he said, "That is incorrect. My scans indicate that there is one Microbot missing."
Hiro was surprised as he looked at Baymax before looking into the bucket while he said, "What? Really?"
Baymax simply answered, "Yes."
Violet became somewhat concerned as she asked, "Is that bad?"
Hiro glanced at her out of the corner of his eye as he said, "No, the rest of them can function just fine with one less. It's just weird. They should all be back in the bucket because I guide every single one of them."
Violet was calm but surprised as she said, "Huh, that is weird."
Hiro then shrugged it off as he said, "One of them must've gotten separated from the others. Nothing to worry about. They're useless without the neural transmitter, and just one can't do much by itself."
Violet then smiled as she asked, "So, have you used your stealth suit yet?"
Hiro smiled as he glanced around and honestly said, "No, not yet. I'm saving it for a special mission when I need to sneak around."
Violet smiled eagerly as she said, "Well I hope it's a mission we can do together. Let's see how to invisible superheroes do together."
Hiro showed a friendly but competitive smile as she said, "Yeah, and maybe see which invisible hero is the better one."
Violet showed a similar smile as she said, "Careful Hiro. You may be a genius, but that doesn't mean you can't be stupid."
They both smirked at each other until Helen came with Jack-Jack and politely said, "Hey, are you kids coming. We're all ready for dinner now."
Violet smiled as she apologized and said, "Right! Sorry mom."
Hiro smiled as he held his hand out and said, "Yeah, we're coming."
Helen smiled and walked away and then Violet smiled as she turned and said, "Come on Baymax."
Baymax started following them while Hiro took his charger and Violet grabbed Baymax's hand and escorted him out of Hiro's lab. Hiro and his friends went back to the Lucky Cat Café with the Parrs and they all happily enjoyed dinner together. Mirage, Winston, Krei, Heathcliff, Stan, and his wife were also there as Cass was hosting a small party for all of them. Bob and Helen were talking with the other adults while Baymax held Jack-Jack in his arms and Honey Lemon happily watched. Dash happily zipped around between Fred, Go Go, and Wasabi as he entertained them with his energy and had fun with some leftover food. Hiro was showing Violet something with his tablet which impressed her as she stared at the monitor with a smile. Go Go smiled at them before she looked over her shoulder to see the adults talking, and she focused on Mirage with a suspicious look in her eye.
Helen then smiled before she started walking away while she said, "Yeah, that's a good one. I'll be right back. I have to use the bathroom."
Go Go then got an idea as she followed Helen, and shortly after Helen came out of the bathroom Go Go was leaning against the wall.
She spoke up as she seriously said, "Hey Helen…"
Helen glanced at her and politely said, "Oh hi Go Go."
Go Go stopped her as she seriously said, "Hey, I gotta talk to you. Got a second."
Helen looked at her as she listened and said, "Sure, what do you need?"
Go Go glanced around to make sure no one was listening as she suspiciously said, "Between you and me, I think I know who stole your car the other night: Mirage."
Helen was shocked as she said, "Mirage? What makes you say that?"
Go Go pointed her right finger at Helen before pointing it straight out to her side while she said, "Think about it, she was at your house with the rest of us, and we left her there alone when we went to go stop the Underminer. That would've given her plenty of time to steal Bob's old car."
Helen grasped her chin in thought as she looked to the side and said, "That's true, but I'm not sure."
Go Go then suspiciously added, "AND it happened the same night E and Cass were attacked by Sickness. Mirage used to work for his brother Syndrome, now she's got to be working for his brother."
Helen put her hand on Go Go's shoulder as she calmly said, "Go Go, I like your deductive mind, but this is just speculation, you have no proof of anything. If we're going to solve this we need to be gathering facts and evidence, not pointing fingers."
Go Go's expression softened as she sighed and looked away while saying, "You're right."
Helen then smiled as she said, "But hey, thanks for sharing this with me. It's something to think about. You and your friends just keep your eyes out for anything suspicious and tell us if you find anything, and we'll do the same for you. Deal?"
Go Go smiled as she gave her a high-five and said, "Deal."
They both went back into the café to join the others when Violet went to her mother and happily said, "Mom, Hiro just showed me his plans for a cool giant robot he calls Mega-Max! It's awesome and can do so many cool things!"
Hiro smiled proudly as he sat in his chair and said, "Yeah! After we finish our semester projects, we can work on this and it will help if the city's ever in danger again."
Fred smiled excitedly as he clinched his fists and said, "Oh yes! That is so awesome! That's even better than a life-sized Kentucky Kaiju!"
Dash happily raised his fists as he exclaimed, "Yeah! That's so cool!"
Hiro smiled as he glanced around at the Parrs and said, "Yeah, maybe you guys can help us build it. I'm sure you can at least help out a lot with your powers."
Violet smiled as she generously offered, "I'm in."
Hiro smiled at her as he said, "I thought you'd say that."
Wasabi laid back in a chair with a tired expression as he said, "I could use a break from all this superhero stuff too."
Helen patted his shoulder as she smiled and said, "I know what you mean Wasabi. It does take a lot out of you."
Cass then stood between them as she spoke respectfully and said, "That reminds me, I think we need to talk. I hate come between you two but I think you need a little time apart. Hiro, your project is due next week and you need to spend the rest of your time working on it."
Helen looked at Violet a bit sternly before smiling as she said, "I agree with Cass. Some time apart might be good for you both. Your exams are next week too Violet, so you should spend more time studying, by yourself. So until you're both finished, no more visits. I know you're not going to like this but when you both finish your schoolwork next week you'll have your full winter break to spend as much time together as you want."
Hiro and Violet looked at each other with thought and Hiro reasoned, "Maybe they're right. I can handle a few days here in San Fransokyo. Besides, you don't need me to help you study. I know you'll crush your exams."
Violet showed a flattered smile as she said, "Thanks, and you're right. I can handle being apart until next week. Once we're finished with our schoolwork we can have all kinds of fun together."
Bob then spoke up and smiled as he said, "You see? That's the spirit! So you kids enjoy the rest of your today together before cracking hard on schoolwork."
Violet looked at him as she said, "Yes dad."
A couple of hours later it was dark outside and the Parrs were getting ready to leave as Helen held a sleeping Jack-Jack in her arms. Bob and Stan happily said their goodbyes while Go Go pounded Dash's fist while Mirage and Winston stood with Cass. Honey Lemon couldn't resist patting his head adoringly while Violet went upstairs to say "goodbye" to Hiro. She went up to Hiro's bedroom where Baymax was standing on his charger as he watched Hiro at his desk.
Violet saw him at his desk as she said, "Hey Hiro, you've been up here a while and I wanted to let you know we're leaving."
Hiro did not respond as he stared at one piece of paper with drawings on it surrounded by crumpled up balls of paper.
Violet curiously looked at Baymax as she asked, "What's with him?"
Baymax looked to Violet as he answered, "Hiro has been trying to think of an idea for his semester project."
Hiro shut his eyes as he repeatedly banged his head against his desk and frustratedly said, "Nothing! No ideas! Flatlining! Useless empty brain!"
He kept hitting while Baymax watched and said, "You should stop hitting your head to avoid suffering a significant injury."
Hiro stopped and sat in his chair as he hopelessly said, "I've got nothing! I'm done! Aunt Cass is gonna kill me!"
Violet showed faith as she said, "Don't say that Hiro. You can do it."
He looked at her out of the corner of his eye as he sadly said, "Violet I know you believe in me, and that means a lot, but I just don't see how I can do this. I can't think of a single idea. I can't get over my inventor's block."
Violet frowned as she glanced around in thought and noticed his Megabot before looking at Baymax, which gave her an idea.
Violet curiously looked at him as she suggested, "Why don't you just build a new robot?"
Hiro looked at her with surprise as he said, "What?"
Violet smiled as she held her right palm up and said, "Hiro, you're an ex-bot fighter. Maybe you can just make a cool new remote-controlled robot. Maybe something you could even use on missions."
Hiro showed a tedious expression before glancing up in thought before standing in excitement while saying, "Violet that's… A great idea!"
He immediately ran to her and grabbed her before happily kissing her on the lips as she blushed in shock and joy.
He pulled away from her and smiled as he praised, "You're incredible!"
She was flattered as she chuckled and said, "Yeah, I know."
She then hugged him and they both shut their eyes as they shared a loving embrace, unaware they were being watched by a robot bird. In their hideout, Evelyn was watching this hug with Sickness and Larry standing beside her as the two boys showed disdain.
Larry held his left hand out to refer to the monitor as he said, "Look at those two! Acting like the leads in some cute teen romance!"
Evelyn had a devious smile on her face as she stared at the screen and said, "Let them have their fun. Hiro's going to have his hands full finishing up his project for Wednesday, and their relationship will be the perfect distraction to keep them from figuring out our plan."
Sickness looked at her and Larry with a devilish grin as he said, "So we've got all the time to finish our own little project."
Larry smiled wickedly as he said, "Now you're talking."
The next morning Hiro went to his garage and immediately started using his computer to make plans for a robot. He smiled eagerly as he worked and spent the next four days working hard on his idea for a new robot, which Violet had inspired him to do. In Metroville, Violet studied hard for her exams while Dash was finished with his tests, and was ordered by their parents to let her work in peace. Bob and Helen helped her study by asking her questions and she answered them perfectly, which made Bob high-five her at one point. In San Fransokyo, Cass smiled proudly as she watched Hiro work on his project as he put together different robot parts. He went back and forth between tables in the garage on his chair while Baymax slowly followed him around. On Monday Violet had to do her first two exam, which she felt good about as she paid attention and answered the questions with all her knowledge. On Tuesday she took her second pair of exams, which she felt fairly confident about, and on that same day Hiro finished his new robot as he smiled proudly at it. On Wednesday Violet took her final two exams, one of them was her algebra exam, and she smiled with optimism and confidence as she did her best. Afterwards, her family got on the Black Owl and went to San Fransokyo, and Lucius joined them as they went to SFIT to see the finished projects. It was late in the afternoon as they walked around and looked at the other projects with smiles of interest on their faces.
Suddenly they saw Cass smile and wave at them as she called out, "Hey everyone! Over here!"
They smiled as they joined her and said, "Hey Cass. Excited?"
She had a huge smile of anticipation as she said, "Oh yes! Hiro's been working night and day to complete his project, and I've hardly seen any of the others since the weekend, except Fred. I can't wait to see what he built!"
Violet smiled fondly as she said, "Hiro invents the coolest things."
Cass smiled as she nodded in agreement and then Fred came over and smiled as he said, "Hey everyone, great news. Hiro, Go Go, Wasabi, and Honey Lemon are ready to present their projects and Professor Grandville's about to start."
Bob smiled politely as he said, "That is great news Fred. Can you bring us to them so we can wish them luck?"
Lucius smiled as he proudly said, "Yeah, I wanna show Marcus my support."
Fred smiled as he motioned for them to follow him as he said, "Sure. Come on."
Everyone followed Fred as he led them to Go Go's booth first as she was running diagnostics on her project.
Helen smiled as she spoke up and said, "Hi Go Go."
She looked at them and popped a bubble of her gum before smiling proudly as she sassily said, "Welcome to the nerd fest."
Dash chuckled and Violet curiously asked, "So what did you make?"
She smiled as she held up her right finger and said, "No spoilers. You'll have to wait and see like everyone else."
They then moved on to Wasabi's booth as he was working hard on his project when Lucius said, "Excited for the big reveal?"
He looked at them and showed a tense expression as he said, "I wouldn't say excited, but I'm definitely feeling all kinds of anxious. Everything should work perfectly but I'm still worried about any kind of unpredictability that could occur."
Lucius chuckled and cooly patted Wasabi's shoulder as he said, "Relax Marcus. You got this."
Wasabi calmed down and smiled as he pointed at Lucius and said, "Yeah, I should just be cool."
Lucius smiled at Wasabi's joke while Cass and the Parrs moved on and then went to Honey Lemon's booth. She was writing on a notepad as she focused on it while she had chemicals and elements in test tubes and beakers on her tables.
The Parrs and Cass arrived as Jack-Jack happily said, "Honey!"
She turned and smiled at them as she waved and said, "Hi everyone! Hi Jack-Jack!"
She went up to him and gently tapped his nose adoringly, causing him to giggle happily while the others smiled fondly.
Helen then curiously asked, "You feeling good about your project Heather?"
She smiled enthusiastically as she said, "Oh yes! I'm so glad you're all here to see it! It's going to be amazing! I just know it!"
Bob smiled while giving her a thumbs-up as he supportively said, "Well I look forward to seeing it."
They then went to Hiro's booth where Baymax was watching Hiro tighten a screw on his robot, which was approximately as big as him.
Cass was the first one to arrive as she said, "You're gonna do great Hiro!"
He smiled at her over his shoulder as she said, "Thanks aunt Cass."
Violet was the next one to come as she looked over his desk and smiled with admiration as she said, "It looks really cool."
He smiled as he turned to her and put his screwdriver away and said, "Thanks, wait til you see what it can do."
Violet smiled with anticipation as she said, "I'm excited."
The rest of the Parrs showed up as Bob commended, "Congratulations Hiro. It looks to me like you've outdone yourself on that thing."
Hiro showed a flattered expression before speaking politely as he said, "Thanks Bob. You guys should go. Our presentations are starting and I need to be ready for Professor Grandville."
They all nodded as Helen said, "Okay, good luck Hiro."
He smiled at her and then Violet showed much faith as she said, "You're a genius."
He smiled somewhat cockily as he said, "Yeah, I get that a lot."
She turned around and shook her head with a smile before joining her family, Cass, and Lucius as they watched the presentations from the sidelines. They stood with a bunch of other guests as Professor Grandville judged several other students and graded them before going over to Go Go. She smiled as she demonstrated a powerful electromagnet she invented that made her levitate in the air, without any metal on her body. Violet and Dash both cheered for her while Jack-Jack made happy noises and Professor Grandville awarded her an "A". Wasabi used his laptop to operate a tractor beam he invented, which he used to successfully levitate a chair in the air and move it through the air before gently setting it down. Professor Grandville gave Wasabi an "A" and Lucius smiled as he pointed at Wasabi and gave him a congratulatory wink. Next they watched Honey Lemon's project as she cheerfully demonstrated her project, which was a protective liquid armor made of colloid fluid. She put it on and revealed that it was impervious to many forms of physical damage, which impressed everyone. Bob and Helen applauded for her while Fred, Violet, and Dash cheered and Jack-Jack happily giggled for her. Professor Grandville awarded her an "A" as well before finally moving on to Hiro as he was ready for his presentation.
She showed a stern expression as she said, "Okay Mr. Hamada, dazzle me."
Hiro was slightly nervous as he looked up at her, but then he turned and saw Cass and Violet who both smiled at him with confidence.
He then relaxed and held his hand out to refer to his robot as he said, "Okay! Allow me to present my project: my Maxi-Bot!"
The Maxi-bot had a black humanoid body similar to Hiro's with a similar build to him and large hands and forearms. It also had a large head with a screen for a faceplate and two cylinder-shaped boosters on the back that were fairly small. The robot also had small armor on the shoulders, torso, and on the legs that made it somewhat durable.
Professor Grandville was not impressed easily as she said, "And what exactly does this 'Maxi-Bot' do Mr. Hamada?"
Hiro smiled as he put on a black helmet with a clear visor and grabbed a controller as he said, "Prepare to be amazed!"
He activated it and the robot's screens showed a live video of Hiro's face while walking as he said, "The Maxi-Bot is the perfect tool for operating in an environment that a human cannot enter."
He used the controller to make the robot wave to the audience before moving its arms around while he said, "The interface also enables the user to project their face and voice through the Maxi-Bot using the helmet combined with the controller."
Everyone was amazed when the robot lifted up a chair before putting it down while Hiro said, "It's made of triple reinforced titanium, making it extremely durable and it's capable of lifting up more than a thousand pounds."
The then used its boosters to hover in the air while everyone watched in awe and Professor Grandville started to smile.
The robot started flying over the audience with its fists out as Hiro explained, "The Maxi-Bot's boosters also enable it to fly with incredible maneuverability, allowing it to potentially even travel through space to help astronauts."
It then flew back to Hiro's booth and landed before Hiro made it bow while saying, "My semester project: the Maxi-Bot!"
He took off his helmet and turned off the robot as everyone applauded for him, especially his aunt and all of his friends.
He smiled at them before Professor Grandville went up to him and commended, "Well done Mr. Hamada. You do have a talent for exceeding expectations. A."
She gave him his grade and smiled humbly as he said, "Thank you Professor Grandville."
She walked away and he happily joined his aunt and friends as they all cheered for him and Honey Lemon took a picture of them with her phone. Cass excitedly hugged Hiro while laughing happily, and then Violet hugged him and he smiled as he hugged her back tenderly.
They all went outside as Cass happily said, "Come on everyone! Let's celebrate at the café! Dinner's on me!"
The others smiled in delight as Bob said, "Sounds good to me! Let's eat!"
Fred agreed as he raised his fists in excitement and exclaimed, "Yes! Free food is one of the greatest things in the known universe!"
They all left SFIT together and went to the Lucky Cat Café to celebrate their A's together as Lucius and the Parrs congratulated them. Sometime later, the others were talking while Baymax held Jack-Jack, prompting Honey Lemon to adoringly take a picture of them with her phone. Hiro was in the garage as he looked at his Maxi-Bot, which they brought home as he smiled proudly at it. He heard the sound of the door closing but turned around and saw no one nearby as he glanced around curiously.
He kept looking around as he said, "Hello?"
Suddenly he found himself tugged forward as he let out a small cry of surprise and looked down to see the edges of his jacket sticking out and shaped as if they were being gripped.
He suddenly realized what was going on as he said, "Violet…"
He was shut up when his lips smushed somewhat and he felt other lips against them and then he smiled and shut his eyes as he moved his arms out to wrap them around seemingly nothing. Violet turned visible to reveal she was holding his jacket and kissing him on the lips passionately with her eyes shut. She was wearing her super suit, minus her mask, and she turned completely visible as she kept kissing Hiro on the lips. She stopped and pulled away from him as she let go of his jacket with a smile on her face while he smiled back at her.
She spoke proudly as she folded her arms and said, "Consider that my way of congratulating you for your 'A'."
He smiled as he held his palms up and curiously said, "Not that I mind, but why did you have to sneak up on me with your super suit?"
She showed an amused smile as she said, "I thought it would be fun to surprise you, and this seemed like the best way to do it."
Hiro then smiled as he pointed at her and coyly said, "Sick! Maybe I should use my stealth suit to try that on you sometime."
Violet chuckled and tauntingly said, "You can try, but even with that I'll bet you're not as sneaky as I am when I'm invisible."
Hiro had a friendly competitive smile as he said, "I guess there's only one way to find out."
She had a similar expression she said, "I guess there is."
They both turned to Cass as she smiled fondly and said, "Oh you two are so cute together, but how about you save that for another day? Today let's just celebrate your A."
Hiro and Violet smiled at each other before turning back to her as Hiro said, "You're right aunt Cass. Come on Violet, let's get some more pizza."
She smiled happily as she started walking while she said, "Okay, let me just change out of my suit first."
She walked out and Hiro smiled as he followed her and Cass smiled lovingly as she watched them both walk upstairs. She glanced around to make sure no one was watching, then she went over to Hiro's stealth suit on a table. She glanced over her shoulder briefly before taking the goggles out of his mask and replacing them with another pair that were visibly identical.
She smiled as she held the goggles she took and coyly said, "This should help him clearly see the path ahead."
The next morning, Violet and Dash were sitting on the couch watching TV while Helen carried Jack-Jack and then Bob came in with the mail.
He opened one envelope and read it as he smiled and hurried to Violet and Dash and excitedly said, "Violet! Your midterm grades just came in! You got straight A's!"
Her jaw dropped in shock before she smiled in delight and said, "Oh my god that's awesome!"
Helen smiled as she stretched out her left hand and patted Violet on the back saying, "Way to go honey. We're all proud of you."
Dash folded his arms as he pouted on the couch and said, "Know it all!"
She smugly grinned at him and said, "Don't be jealous. You got good B's and C's so you still passed, just barely."
Helen sternly looked at Violet then Dash while she said, "Violet, no one likes a gloater. Dash, no one likes a sore loser."
Bob agreed as he smiled and said, "Yeah, we're proud of both of you kids. You both did your best and passed your exams. Now you can both enjoy your Christmas vacations."
They both smiled as Dash said, "Yeah! No school!"
He happily ran off at superspeed and Violet smiled as she got an idea and walked while she said, "I'm gonna go call Hiro!"
She went to her room while her parents smiled and then she found her cellphone and called Hiro as she waited for him to pick up.
He answered and happily said, "Hey Violet, what's up?"
Violet smiled as she excitedly stared forward and said, "Hiro! The results for my exams just came in! I got straight A's!"
Hiro was thrilled as he said, "Whoa! That's awesome! I knew you could do it!"
She was flattered and then smiled as she said, "Thanks, and I've got a cool idea to celebrate. You guys are still coming over tonight right?"
Hiro then answered, "Yeah."
Violet smiled with anticipation as she said, "Well, there's this holiday carnival going on tonight. My friends from school are going so why don't we all go together."
Hiro spoke happily as he said, "Sounds like a plan!"
Violet happily clinched her fist as she said, "Great! See you tonight! Bye!"
Hiro then happily said, "Bye!"
She hung up and let out a small sigh as she looked up toward her ceiling, but stopped when Dash showed up in her doorway.
He smiled mockingly as he made kissy faces and then Violet said, "Get out you little insect!"
He blew a raspberry at her before running off as she angrily started chasing him, jumping up and making a force-field around herself as she flew after him. Meanwhile Larry was in their hideout as he sat with a grumpy expression and watched the Underminer working constructing something with Insti-Gator as they both moved a girder.
Evelyn walked up to Larry with a devious smile as he said, "Larry, I've got some good news. Your little surprise is ready."
Larry stood up and anxiously said, "It is?! Does it work?! It does everything I asked?!"
Evelyn had a wicked grin as she answered, "Yep. Everything's online and ready for action, just like you wanted."
He smiled evilly as he clinched his fists and said, "Yes! Now I can show those losers something really super!"
Evelyn looked at him as she deviously said, "And there's more good news. Our spy tells us that Big Hero 6 are going to Metroville tonight. Apparently Hiro and Violet are planning a little romantic evening at a holiday carnival."
Larry had a devilish grin as he put his hands together and said, "Perfect! So I get to spoil they're happy holiday."
Evelyn kept smiling deviously as she held up her left two fingers while she said, "And while you're doing having your fun, we'll free our last two recruits."
Larry's grin became more sinister as he said, "Perfect."
Later that night, Bob drove the station wagon to the holiday carnival and after a moment Wasabi pulled his car up in front of them. Everyone got out of their cars as they joined together and then looked at the carnival with smiles on their faces. It was brightly lit in the dark night and decorated for the season as they saw games, food, and different kinds of rides.
Baymax looked at the others as he simply said, "Carnivals are efficient ways for friends to get together to socialize and relax."
Bob smiled at him as he agreed, "Yes, and it's fun for the whole family!"
Dash smiled as he threw his fists in the air and exclaimed, "Yeah, I'm going on all of the rides!"
Fred smiled down at him with his fists in front of him as he happily agreed, "Yeah! So many rides so little time! Let's go!"
Dash zoomed off while Fred followed him and Go Go smiled fondly as she said, "Better make sure those two don't get too excited."
She went off while Wasabi and Honey Lemon followed her and then Hiro took Violet's hand as they walked into the carnival with Baymax following them. Bob and Helen showed warm smiles as they watched before they went inside themselves along with Jack-Jack. Hiro and Violet walked through the carnival as they glanced around with smiles on their faces while they kept holding hands.
They stopped when Kari came and said, "Hey Violet!"
They were both surprised as they smiled and Violet said, "Oh hi Kari."
Kari smiled as she looked at Hiro and said, "Hi Hiro, it's nice to see you again."
He showed a friendly smile as he said, "Thanks Kari, you too."
Soon they were joined by Lila and then Tony and his friends as Lila smiled at Baymax and said, "Hi Baymax."
Baymax waved his right hand in a circular motion as he said, "Hello Lila."
Tony was pleasantly surprised as he smiled at Hiro and said, "Didn't expect to see you guys here tonight."
Hiro smiled as he held his right palm up and said, "Well my friends and I are on winter break so we thought we'd come over for a little fun. I got an 'A' on my project yesterday and Violet called me and told me she got straight A's on her midterms."
Tony was quite impressed as he said, "Wow! You two are maybe the smartest kids that I know."
Violet smiled modestly as she looked at Hiro out of the corner of her eye while saying, "Well Hiro's way smarter than me."
Hiro smiled at her as he lovingly said, "I don't know about 'way' smarter. I have to admit you did give me the idea I needed for my project."
They both smiled at each other until Lila said, "Well what are we just standing around for?! Come on! Let's have some fun!"
Kari smiled as she took Baymax's hand and said, "She's right! Come on Baymax! We'll show you some really cool rides!"
She dragged him away while Lila followed and Tony left with his friends, prompting Violet and Hiro to continue on as they kept holding hands. Meanwhile in the San Fransokyo prison, Callaghan was sulking in his seat alone in his cell as he stared down at the floor with guilt. He heard the sound of a door opening and then her footsteps approaching before they stopped, but Callaghan did not bother to look.
Suddenly he heard a familiar voice say, "Dad?"
His eyes widened in shock as he turned to look up and see his daughter sadly looking at him from outside of his cell.
Callaghan was almost speechless as he said, "Abigail?"
She frowned as she looked at him and sadly said, "I know it's been a long time."
He got out of his seat and walked over to the wall as he asked, "What are you doing here?"
She placed her hand on the wall and said, "I wanted to see you."
He placed his hand on his side of the wall in the same position as hers as he guiltily said, "Thank you but you don't have to do that."
She spoke sincerely as she said, "I know, but I wanted to talk to you. I heard about everything that happened while I was gone."
He expressed guilt and shame as he said, "Then you know the things that I've done, the crimes I committed."
She nodded as she sincerely said, "Yes, but I know that you were in pain. You don't deserve to be in here."
He looked down as he sadly said, "Yes I do. I'm touched you came to see me but this is where I belong. I'm paying for the mistakes I've made, unforgiveable mistakes."
She then pulled out a small thin package and handed it to him through a slot while she said, "Here. I brought you something that I think will help you a lot."
Callaghan was surprised and curious as he took the package before looking at Abigail as she smiled sincerely and nodded. Back in Metroville, the Parrs were enjoying themselves with Big Hero 6 and other kids as they all did various activities. Bob did a strength test, but held back to avoid showing his true strength, and he successfully rang the bell. He won a teddy bear that he gave to Jack-Jack, who happily hugged it while making little baby noises as Helen smiled tenderly. Honey Lemon was eating cotton candy while she and Wasabi watched Go Go play a shooting game with Fred and Dash, and she easily beat them both. They both scowled in defeat while she smiled smugly before taking a pair of sunglasses as a prize while they left. Kari and Lila were with Baymax as they rode on a carousel with him while he stood beside them and watched them. Hiro and Violet were sitting together on the Ferris wheel as they smiled and held hands as they enjoyed the ride. The Ferris wheel stopped with them at the top and they looked out and saw a beautiful view of the carnival and more of the city as they saw the lights in the dark.
They smiled at the view before turning to each other as Violet happily said, "With winter break finally here and the Black Owls, we can have nights like this whenever we want."
Hiro smiled as he said, "Yeah, as long as bad guys don't come along and wreck it for us."
Violet showed an amused smile as she said, "Don't jinx it Hiro."
He smiled at her as he honestly said, "Sorry, but I want to thank you for helping me get over inventor's block. You really do inspire me Violet."
She was flattered as she kept smiling and sincerely said, "Thanks Hiro. You help me rise up too. You give me the confidence I need to be better and reach new heights. Honestly, I don't know where I'd be without you."
Hiro smiled as he said, "Thanks Violet."
She then leaned against his shoulder with a tender smile as she shut her eyes while he smiled at her lovingly and looked at the view.
Violet heard something as she opened her eyes and sat up looking around as she said, "Hiro did you hear something?"
Hiro looked at her as he curiously asked, "No, what did you hear?"
Before she could answer they were startled as they looked in the carnival and saw some explosions occur. This startled the other Parrs and Hiro's friends as they looked at the explosions and heard people running scared.
On the Ferris wheel, Hiro and Violet both looked nervous as Hiro said, "Something tells me this isn't part of the carnival."
Suddenly a figure flew and hovered in front of their car on the Ferris wheel and stared at them as they were both startled. The figure was wearing mechanical armor about the size of Baymax's, that was mostly red but with some black parts. The armor was menacing as It had four sharp claws on the hands and three sharp claws for toes on the feet, and it also had a red tail. It had wings that looked like those of a demon's and there were thrusters in the feet that enabled it to fly like Baymax. There was a glowing red dot in the center of the chest and two more red dots in the palms of the hands. The helmet of the armor had a red Oni mask that was frightening with sharp teeth and horns on the head that were quite long.
The mask raised to reveal the face of Larry, who had a sinister grin as Hiro and Violet said, "Larry!"
He kept grinning as he sarcastically said, "I'm sorry is this a bad time? Am I interrupting something?"
Violet glared at him as she angrily said, "Kind of!"
He then smiled maniacally as he said, "Well then, let's just cut to the chase."
His mask covered his face again and his armor activated two plasma blades like Wasabi's, but they were bigger and glowed bright red. He then flew at them and prepared to swing his left plasma blade while they held each other and let out cries of fear.
Author's note: That's the end of this chapter. This is my last chapter for this story for a while. I'm going back to my Teen Titans fanfiction for a while. I want no one making demands! Anyway, I wanted to rap up the part with their exams and projects, now we're getting closer to them finding out the villains' plans. Future chapters will have plot twists and revelations that I'm sure you'll all find interesting. But for now you'll have to settle for what I have so far. Please review.
