The next morning, Fitz woke early and was up before Olivia. He lay staring at her for a while. Her breathing was labored even when she slept on her side, hugging a pillow. He didn't know how she physically managed to be pregnant. It felt like a silly thought to have, however, it seemed so uncomfortable that he still had to wonder.

He watched her for a while until she yawned, opened her eyes, and saw him staring at her.

"Good morning," she whispered.

He leaned over and kissed her lips softly. "Good morning," he whispered. She broke it and then smiled. "Do you still insist on putting Zeus down by yourself?" she asked.

Fitz nodded, "you don't need to hassle yourself with it."

"It's not a hassle," Olivia said. "I'm really going to miss him."

"Yeah, I was thinking the other day that he was here with you while I wasn't able to be. He basically raised the girls with you," he said with a chuckle.

"He was great with them, especially Lily when she was in her grabbing and hair-pulling phase. She would literally put her little fingers into his nose and chew on his ears and tail. He never got aggressive with her or the twins. He's a big softy."

He kissed her again before he stood up. "I'm going to take a shower. I want to get this done early. We still agree not to tell them until after."

Olivia nodded, "I totally agree but I'm coming with you."

"I don't want you to hassle yourself Olivia, you can barely walk," he said.

"I'll be just fine," she said. "This is my 3rd pregnancy, one of which was a twin."

"And you complain all the time that he feels bigger than both Daisy and Izzy did," Fitz reminded.

She chuckled, "don't remind me. I'm coming with you and you can't change my mind." She slowly leaned up from the bed then she held onto the nightstand and stood up. She felt a gush of liquid and bit her lips, she was feeling a mixture of surprise and annoyance.

"What?" Fitz asked as he walked around to her.

"I peed myself a bit..but it's fine," she said. "I'll just shower with you."

"You peed yourself again?" he said with a chuckle.

"Yes, it just sits in me and when I move and the baby rests on my bladder it comes out," she said then stomped to the bathroom. Fitz walked in after just as she was pushing down her shorts to quickly sit on the toilet.

"More came down huh?" he asked with a small smile.

"Shut it, I can't help it," she complained as she peed and kicked off her shorts. He walked to the shower and turned on the overhead faucet. Once Olivia finished peeing, she turned on the bidet to wash between her legs then she dried herself and stood. After she flushed the toilet she walked over to the vanity, washed her hands, and splashed some warm water on her face. She pulled off her pajama top and Fitz returned from the shower and began brushing his teeth. Olivia did the same. When she was finished she grabbed a scrunchie from the counter and pulled her hair into a ponytail. Fitz was flossing and as she waited for him to finish so they could hop into the shower together, her mind drifted to other things.

She walked behind him and wrapped her arms around him then shoved her hands into his underpants. He looked down and chuckled as she gripped his shaft.

"I thought we agreed to no more sex," he said.

"We did but one more time wouldn't hurt…" she said.

"You're literally out of breath right now," Fitz joked as he tossed his floss pick in the trash can.

She rolled her eyes and laughed because she could feel him stiffening in her hands. "You know you want to," she said.

Fitz laughed and turned around and lifted her easily onto the vanity. "I always want to, that's not the point," he said.

She pulled his face down to hers and kissed him hungrily as she pushed down his underpants. Fitz stepped out of them and pulled her to the edge of the countertop. She grinned as she kissed his lips and pulled his body closer to hers. Fitz turned her slightly sideways, so her belly wasn't directly in between them.

He wrapped his arms around her, one hand gripped her breasts and the other reached between her legs. He massaged her clit as they kissed and squeezed her breasts. "Mhmmm…" she moaned against his lips, trying to control her breath.

He slowly slid inside her and closed his eyes as he squeezed her breasts harder. Olivia deepened the kiss, moaning into his mouth as he began thrusting. She squeezed her toes and bit her lips when she finally needed to break the kiss for a moment to catch her breath. "Mmmmm…oh my god," she moaned as he moved to her neck and kissed it. She was beginning to lose her breath and thankfully she was close. A few more pumps into her and she let out a gush of squirt before she orgasmed. Fitz came seconds later and held her as she panted to catch her breath.

"That was quick," he said with a chuckle. "Are you okay?"

She nodded as she took slow, deep breaths. He pulled out and helped her to sit up on the counter. He gave her another minute to calm down and when her breathing returned to something normal, he helped her off the counter.

"How are you feeling?"

"Much better," she said, then she took another deep breath.

"Alright," he said as he slapped her ass. "Get your ass sexy little ass in the shower."

She squealed as she waddled to the shower and stepped in. Fitz stepped in behind her and they showered together.

Once they dressed and readied themselves they headed to Lily's bedroom. She wasn't in bed but they heard some singing coming from her bathroom and headed there.

Lily was sitting on the toilet, singing to herself as she pooped.

"Good morning Rosie," Olivia said.

She strained a bit before answering. "I ate too much food at Sonia's party yesterday."

"You did," Fitz agreed.

"It's a really big poop," she said as scooted from the toilet. "Come look, Mommy."

Olivia chuckled and she walked over and looked in the toilet. "Yes, it's a big one, good job!"

Lily smiled winningly, "Daddy look."

Fitz peaked in the toilet as well. "Good work Rosebud."

"Alright, we're going to check on your sisters, alright. Pam will get you ready for our flight. Daddy and I have to take Zeus to the doctor, okay?"

Lily nodded.

They headed out and Fitz snickered quietly as they walked. Both of the twins were sleeping so they went to Pam's room to let her know they were leaving and Lily was awake.

Downstairs, Olivia took her medication and drank it down with some water while Fitz went to get Zeus from his bed in the den. He woke him from his bed and clipped on his leash before he kneeled down and petted him. "Come on Bud," he said as he rubbed his hand over his head and massaged his ears. Fitz brought him over to his bowl and let Zeus drink some water before he headed back to the kitchen to meet Olivia.

"I'm wondering if we should let the girls say goodbye, just in case they get really upset later when we tell them…" Olivia said.

"If you think it's best," Fitz said. "Did you eat something?"

"I'm not hungry," she said.

"Eat something before we leave."

"You didn't eat," she retorted.

"I'm not carrying a 9-pound baby inside me. Eat something now," he said.

"Fine," she said with a groan. She went into the fridge and took a yogurt cup.

"Seriously?"

"Fitz, if I eat any more than this then I'm going to want to throw up," she said.

"Alright," he relented.

She grabbed a disposable spoon from the utensil drawer and followed him to let the girls say their goodbye to Zeus.

It was harder than they both anticipated it would be to put him down and Olivia was glad she'd decided to accompany Fitz. When they returned home, the girls were fed breakfast and dressed for their trip. When they asked where Zeus was, Olivia answered that he was staying with the doctor until he got better and that seemed to settle their curiosity.

They left for the airport around noon and stopped for burgers, fries, and shakes to bring with them on the plane for lunch.

They took off around 1:30 pm and as they sat, strapped into their seats, and began ascending in the plane, Lily had an idea.

"Let's play 'guess the suspect'," she said.

"Okay," Fitz said.

"Daddy, you go first," she said.

"Alright," Fitz said. "Suspect calls her mommy and daddy to the bathroom to show them how big her poops are."

Lily giggled and fell over the plane window, laughing uncontrollably.

Daisy and Isabelle laughed as well.

Olivia smiled. There were two seats facing two others on one side of the aisle and on the other there were two seats facing each other. Fitz was sitting with the girls and Olivia was on the other side of the aisle.

"I think the suspect might be Lily," she teased.

Lily laughed blushing, "Okay, my turn…suspect pees herself a lot because there's a baby in her belly."

Fitz laughed, "Burn."

Olivia laughed, "I can't help it!"

"My turn," Isabelle said. "Subspect farts in the bubble bath all the time."

"That's meeeee," Daisy said laughing.

"Suspect doesn't know how to say the word suspect," Fitz said.

Isabelle threw her head back and laughed in her chair.

"Suspect has the loudest, stinkiest farts in the entire world," Daisy said.

"I feel attacked," Fitz said and all three of the girls giggled and laughed.

Once their plane reached cruising altitude they unlocked their seatbelts and began moving around. The attendant for the flight warmed their burgers and fries and brought it out for them with drinks. After eating, Olivia went to the small bedroom to rest for a bit while Fitz stayed with the girls. They watched a few movies on the TV screen until all three of them fell asleep.

When they landed at Laguardia airport, it was almost 5 pm Eastern time. Secret Service flew ahead and met them at the airport and drove them to their new home in a protected vehicle.

The drive from the airport was a bit over 30 minutes. When they parked in front of their home and Fitz helped Olivia out of the car, she took one look at it and remembered why she fell in love with it. It was a stunning home and with the renovations, there were beautiful purple and green flower box pots under each of the large windows. There were beautifully manicured privacy hedges at the property line.

"Is this our new house?" Lily asked.

Fitz nodded, "Yep, this is where we'll live now."

"And that means we can go to the playground a lot?" Daisy asked.

"I think it does," Fitz answered.

"Yayyyy," both the twins shouted in unison.

Their estate manager came from the large double-door entrance to greet them.

"Hello, hello," their estate manager Bob called. He'd been with Fitz's family for years, managing the various residential properties they had around the world, especially the ones which required the most upkeep, including most notably the ranch in Santa Barbara, the castle in Switzerland and the Island in South America.

"We have everything ready for you," Bob called as he walked towards them. He shook Olivia's hand then Fitz's. "It's good to see you again."

"Good to see you too Bob," Fitz said.

"Hi," Lily said as she hopped about excitedly.

He waved hello to her and the twins. "I can show you inside, it's ready for you," he said. "Should we take the stairs or perhaps, the ground entrance."

"I can't manage stairs," Olivia said with a chuckle.

He nodded and smiled. "Ground entrance then."

They walked through the open gate and then down the smooth, curving pavement leading to a large solid wooden door. Bob opened the door and they were in a foyer space with an elevator door adjacent to them. There were two strollers parked against a mirror by the wall. One custom Uppababy bassinet stroller with a baby blue fabric carriage and another cream-colored Doona car seat stroller.

"Awwww," Olivia said with a chuckle as she cradled her belly.

"What's the weight limit on it?" Fitz asked.

She laughed and shook her head, "You're an idiot, he won't be that big."

On the ground level, there are a few storage and empty rooms lining the open foyer space and then the large indoor pool area further back. Just behind the door was a built-in coat hanging and shoe storage space.

"I imagine you might be tired so we can take a look at what we did with the pool and perhaps leave the lower levels for another time.

Olivia and Fitz nodded in agreement and the group of them walked back on the light brown solid wood floor to the pool area. Lily and the twins were bouncing on their heels and more energetic than normal for them after 6 pm in the evening but it was their first time seeing the house in person after hearing so much talk about it for the last month. The pool space was renovated with an indoor plant garden hanging from the walls and surrounding some areas of the pool. The walls were painted in a beautiful shade of green and Olivia and Fitz agreed on adding a small curved white water slide on the pool deck. When they entered the area and the girls saw the slide, there was a mixture of excited screams. Lily ran over and the twins followed and gasped when she saw water running from the top of the slide. The end of the slide ended in the pool.

"We have our own water slide?" she asked, shocked.

"Well, your mom and I thought you'd really like an indoor slide," Fitz said. "were we right?"

"Uh, yes!" Lily said, "This is the best day ever!"

"I thought that was last week at Disneyland?" Fitz teased.

"No, it's today! Keep up Daddy," she said.

Fitz's mouth fell open but he didn't really have a response to her wit.

Olivia laughed. Lily and the twins moved closer to the end of the slide that led to the water. There was a pretty blue ocean blue mosaic tiling under the water of the pool and adjacent jacuzzi. The pool house looked like a tropical rainforest. It was still light out after 6 pm and the glass exterior facing the backyard added even better views. Olivia was thrilled with the decor so far. Seeing it all in photos and videos or sample fabrics and swatches was not the same as seeing it all put together before her.

"I can take you to the fitness center or panic room or we can save that for another time."

"Another time," Olivia said. Her body hurt and she was not prepared to move anymore than she had to.

"Alright," Bob said as they headed back to the exit of the pool house. They stopped at the glass double doors between the foyer and pool house. There was a control pad on the wall.

"So, this is the control pad for the pool house," Bob said. "it's programmed with the number of all the house staff in case you need to call them down for anything. There is an intercom as well. You can do everything here from adjust the temperature of the pool and hot tub, to shade the glass windows and door to block light, turn the lights on and off or even turn them down, you can adjust the air of the room and the humidity as well, there's even an air purifying feature built into the entire HVAC system."

Olivia and Fitz nodded as he reminded them of the features of the house and then they headed to the elevator up to the 1st floor.

Once they stepped out to the large open area it was starkly different from what it was at their viewing. The decor was much cozier and more inviting than the staging furniture. On the large wall that was adjacent to the front, extremely large windows were a few pieces of very valuable art hanging together to form a gallery. One was a Cezanne post-impressionist painting, and another was a beautiful Botticelli of some women while the other was a Van Gogh, all acquired by Fitz's grandfather and all paintings together would cost anywhere from 100 million to 500 million. His grandfather got the sum of them for about 5 million in the 70s. Beside those paintings were a couple of Picasso's they purchased for the move and a few other paintings by lesser-known artists. Because the paintings were so valuable there were trackers embedded behind the canvas, and they were all insured.

From the beautifully decorated living room and balcony library and sitting space, they moved to the kitchen.

The kitchen was extremely unique and quite a large space. In the breakfast nook area, was a red and cream gingham printed curved and tufted sofa embedded into the curved wall area. There was a round antique wooden table and the nook was in front of a large window facing the backyard. There was a matching curtain behind the sofa and table with a beautiful arrangement of wildflowers.

Olivia wanted a kitchen that was more warm and inviting than modern. Of course, the fridge, stove, and all the appliances were custom. The fridge especially was extremely large and all the appliances were a cream lacquer. The countertops were solid wood and the cabinets were the exact same shade of cream as the appliances. There was a walk-in pantry with cabinets for food a second walk-in fridge as well as a dry aging fridge for steaks and meat.

Their kitchen was fully stocked with food.

They moved from the kitchen up to the twins bedrooms. They were four years old and Olivia believed they were ready to separate from sharing a room. They loved their bedroom which were both in the colors they picked. Next, they moved to Lily's bedroom and she too loved the decor.

One floor up was the girl's playroom which Olivia and Fitz had kept secret from them.

When got off the elevator and opened the door to the playroom, Lily screamed as she ran in. Their playroom was one of the larger rooms in the house. The walls were blue and white carnival stripes going up to the dome ceiling. A large cloud-shaped chandelier hung from there. There was a miniature white bouncy house at the far side of the room in the shape of a castle attached to a ball pit.

Daisy was shaking with excitement and Fitz had to bite his lips to stop a laugh. Isabelle ran over and jumped into the ball pit.

"Careful darling," Olivia said.

The ceilings in the room were very high, allowing the bouncy house to be quite high and the ball bit to be 2 feet deep. There was a little slide with steps leading up to the inside of the bouncy house.

Across the room was a large doll house, fully stocked with toys and clothes. There was a cozy pink velvet sofa with large cushions. There was an art station with a table and four chairs and a shelf with supplies as well as legos and blocks and all other kinds of toys. There was also a Tv mounted on the wall across from the sofa and a play kitchen set that was very realistic.

"I can't believe this is all ours," Isabelle said as she rolled around in the ball pit. Lily kicked off her sandals and climbed into the bouncy house and began jumping, Daisy followed behind her and did the same as well. Just like all the other rooms, there was a control pad on the wall, with a panic function.

"Alright girls, we have to keep moving. I need to look at our bedroom and the baby's room and then we need to leave for dinner," Fitz said.

"No, I don't want to leave," Isabelle said.

"We can come back tomorrow, it's getting late," Fitz said.

Lily climbed out of the bouncy house and slipped her sandals back on, Daisy did as well. Isabelle was slow to get out of the ball pit and did so with a huff.

She walked over to Fitz and Olivia.

"You promise I can come back and play tomorrow?" she asked in earnest.

"It's your playroom honey, you can play in there just as you did the last one-" Olivia began.

"-but this one is sooooo much better," Daisy interjected.

"It really is," Lily said with a grin. "I'm so excited!"

"Tomorrow, when you wake up and brush your teeth and eat breakfast, you can play all day," Olivia said. "That's why daddy and I had this room made for you."

"Can the baby play in here?" Isabelle asked.

"Well," Fitz said as he stooped so he was at her level. "In the beginning, he'll be a helpless little baby and he'll be pretty useless-"

Lily cackled.

"Fitz!" Olivia scolded.

"It's true," Fitz said, "but once he gets a little older and he can crawl and walk and all that good stuff, he can play in here with you."

Isabelle laughed and nodded, "Okay daddy."

They moved from the playroom, looking through the guestrooms, bathrooms, and such before moving up to one of the very top floors, which was where their large master bedroom suite and the nursery were.

Their bedroom was large and had its own balcony and terrace. The bed was a double Alaskan king. Their decor was a cozy brown and cream and there was a large Pablo Picasso surrealist painting on one of the walls. Their large TV was built into the wall and the entire floor was carpeted with a soft cream rug. There were two ensuite bathrooms and two ensuite closets, though Olivia's was larger. Olivia's bathroom had a beautiful, scalloped pink rose quartz tub in the shape of a seashell, imported from Venice, along with matching vanity counters and sinks with gold hardware. There was a standing shower, a toilet, and bidet. Fitz's bathroom was black and gray granite with a more modern square tub and standing shower, as well as a vanity and toilet, and bidet.

They moved from their bedroom to the nursery that was connected by a shared wall door. The nursery was smaller with cream satin painted walls and winter blue and forest green accents. His crib was an antique wooden crib sourced from England from some duke's estate With a matching bassinet. There was a large 5-foot plush gray elephant. There was a changing table with a dresser drawer full of his little clothes.

Fitz walked over to the changing table and as he looked down at it, his memory flashed back to the first moment he walked into Lily's nursery. He took up the diaper and though little Fitz's diapers were a size bigger, they seemed just as small in his hands. Olivia walked over to the winter blue silk drapes by the window before she noticed him and then walked over to him, while the girls looked about the room. Daisy hopped on the white tufted rocking chair and began rocking in it. Lily sat on the footstool in front of it. Isabelle went to the large plush elephant and tried to climb on.

"What are you thinking about?" Olivia asked as she watched him stare at the diaper.

Fitz turned to her and smiled, "Nothing, it just seemed like a full circle moment. The last time I was in New York, staring at a tiny diaper in my hand it was for Lily and I never imagined that 6 years later I'd be doing the same thing while we're probably days away from having our 4th kid."

Olivia smiled, "Full circle moment indeed...we might be hours away from being parents of 4 with the way my body feels."

He placed the diaper back in the little knitted basket then turned and caressed her cheek before he leaned over and kissed her lips.

"Ewwww-" Lily called out.

"Stop kissing my mommy," Isabelle called out as she stopped her attempt to climb on the elephant and walked over to them.

Fitz had tuned them out until he felt small hands pushing him away from Olivia. He broke the kiss and looked down to see Isabelle with her arms folded and a scrunch on her lips.

"You're a little bit of a grump today," Fitz said as he lifted her up and held her so he could look at her more closely. Immediately, her frown turned into a giggle and she bit her lips to stop her smile. From behind Olivia kissed her cheek. "You're still my little baby, you know," Olivia said as she pinched her cheek.

"No, I'm a big girl. I'm a big sister," she said.

"Yes but you're still my baby," Olivia said again and kissed her again.

Isabelle giggled.

"I'm your baby too, right mommy," Daisy called from across the room.

"Yes you are," Olivia said.

Fitz kissed Isabelle's cheek then let her down to the ground and they continued the walk through. There were a few rooms they didn't get a chance to see because Olivia couldn't manage the extensive walking.

They returned to the kitchen and dining area, on that floor there was also a laundry room, washroom, and a supply closet.

They met the house staff that Bob had hired.

There were three full-time maids and a part-time maid who were scheduled such that at any given time two were working at the same time. Their new house was much larger than the old one, with 10 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms along with a library, very large living room, playrooms, pool area, fitness center with included a gym and pilates room and sauna, as well as a 2 kitchens, dining room, den, study and a many other spaces. Each maid was responsible for a portion of the house. One was responsible for personal areas such as the bedrooms and personal bathrooms, another was responsible for non-personal areas such as the kitchens, living room, dining and library among others. The part-time maid was responsible for laundry and personal item upkeep and another was responsible for helping the other two main maids. There were two house facilities maintenance men who were responsible for keeping the outdoor areas clean and clear, he was to maintain the pool and fix or replace anything in the house that may need fixing or replacing. The full-time chef was there five days a week with special training in southern cuisine and French cuisine. The part-time chef, there on the weekend specialized in new American and Italian cuisine. There was a house manager who was in charge of all the house staff and was to keep things running smoothly.

After meeting all the staff for the house, they met the nannies who Sonia would be managing. One was a post-grad psychology student who was in a PhD program for child behavioral psychology, her name was Eva. She would be working with Lily. The other was a former elementary school teacher named Natalie who would be working with the twins. The two part-time nannies were college students at NYU and would be working on the weekends but they were not present.

Lily didn't seem very excited about the idea of having a nanny other than Sonia. The twins were distracted through the meeting of their large group of staff and didn't pay much attention to their new nanny.

Bob dismissed the staff and briefly met with the few of them who would begin work in the morning. Others would start at varying times in the coming days.

After the long walk-through, they had Bob get one of the maintenance men to take the few bags they brought on the plane with them to their respective rooms and then they headed out to a nearby restaurant for dinner which featured Korean cuisine.

When they returned home at almost 9 pm, the girls were tired but also very wired, by the new house, the prospect of a new sibling, and new playroom, new pool. It was all they chatted about. They took their baths and got dressed for bed. Olivia tried to help because lately she'd been feeling physically useless when it came to caring for the girls but once again, Fitz insisted she sit back and let him do the work. After he monitored their bath time and they were dressed, Olivia insisted on reading their bedtime stories, and this time Fitz relented, though he couldn't help but laugh because she was breathless even doing that.

After 5 stories in the library, they were still awake and asking for more but it was almost 10 pm and Fitz insisted they go to bed. After tucking them in, in their respective bedrooms, he turned on the monitor on their control pad so he could listen to their rooms from his bedroom. He and Olivia both headed up to their bedroom in the elevator and after a quick shower in Fitz's bathroom, they dressed in their closet and Fitz pulled back the sheet for them. Olivia crawled up onto the bed into the silky Egyptian cotton sheet, grabbed the long pillow she liked to sleep with, and tucked it between her legs. Fitz got in behind her and then covered them both with the sheets. He grabbed the tablet in the drawer of their nightstand and opened the video stream of the girls' bedrooms, hoping they'd be asleep now in the time it took for him and Olivia to bathe, brush their teeth, and get ready for bed. What he found was the opposite. Daisy was in Isabelle's bedroom and they were both in bed with the nightlight on and when he turned up the volume on their video, he could hear Isabelle crying and Daisy crying to console her.

"-you have to be a big girl-"

"-No, I want mommy and daddy," Isabelle cried.

Olivia sat up to look at the screen and Fitz brought it closer. On the other screen, Lily was awake with her lights on and looking through her toys in the chest in her room. "Are you up for some company in bed tonight?" Fitz asked.

Olivia chuckled, "I am."

"I'll be right back," Fitz said as he handed her the tablet and got out of bed. She watched as he headed out of the room. Their bedrooms were one floor down so it took just about 30 seconds for Fitz to appear on the screen in Daisy's room. When he appeared Isabelle's crying rose an octave higher and was significantly more dramatic as he walked to her and lifted her out of bed. She hugged him and rested her head on his shoulder.

"Hey, what's this crying I hear?" Fitz said softly.

Daisy stood from her bed. "Izzy, doesn't like to sleep all by her own."

"She doesn't like sleeping by herself huh?" Fitz said then he turned to Isabelle. "Okay, tonight, you can sleep with your mom and me but tomorrow we'll have to work on getting you to sleep in your own bed okay? I know it's a little different, you're in a new house, with a new room and you don't share a room with Daisy anymore."

She nodded, "it's a little scary."

"Grab your teddy, Daisy, we're going to get Lily and then we're going to bed," Fitz said.

"I need my teddy too," Isabelle said.

"We'll get her in a second," Fitz said.

Daisy laughed grabbed her teddy bear and ran to Fitz and Isabelle. They went back to Isabelle's room and got her plushy as well before they went to Lily's room. When Fitz opened the door, Lily was diving back into bed to pretend she was sleeping.

"Too late," Fitz said. "I already saw you on the monitor."

Lily giggled and rolled over in the bed before she sat up. "I couldn't sleep."

"I know, you're coming to our bedroom. Let's go. Scoot your butt."

She laughed and grabbed her horse before they all headed up one flight of the curved stairs. Lily ran into the room and Olivia was sitting up on the bed. She locked the monitor and placed it on the nightstand. "Mommy, we're sleeping with you," Lily said excitedly as she ran over to her and climbed on the bed. Daisy followed her and Fitz walked over with Isabelle who he was still carrying in his arms.

He walked over to his side of the bed and laid her down and she crawled over to Olivia. Isabelle curled up on Olivia's side and snuggled beside her. Olivia smiled and leaned down and kissed her. "You're not quite ready for a big girl's room, huh?"

"No, it's too big."

Fitz got in bed and pulled the covers up before he turned off the lights. After shuffling around for about 15 minutes, all three girls finally drifted off to sleep.

Olivia lay in bed, staring into the dark. Fitz was awake as well.

"Are you awake?" she asked because he was on the far side of the bed with three children between them and she couldn't quite see him.

"I am," he said. "you need to be sleeping though."

"I can't sleep," she said. "Little Fitz is awake and he's moving alot...kicking."

There was silence for a while before she spoke.

"I'm really happy with our new home," she said. "Thanks for moving for me."

He chuckled, "This is the 20th thank you Livie."

"I know but I'm really happy with it...and I'm really happy you agreed to move."

"It wasn't a hard choice," he said. "What the hell is in California that's keeping me there if you don't want to be there?"

"Your company headquarters and a ton of properties and...the fact that you've lived there your entire life."

"With the exception of 8 years of boarding school in Maryland, and 4 years of Harvard in Cambridge and 2 years in the Navy, and then another 11 years living at the delta base in Antarctica..my point being, I'm not that attached to California.

"Well, when you put it that way…" she said with a laugh. Isabelle was hugging on to her belly as she slept and Daisy was close behind her. Lily was sleeping with her head on Fitz's chest.

"I love you," she said.

"I love you too," Fitz returned.

He fell asleep soon after but for Olivia, it wasn't that easy given how comfortable she felt. Three pregnancies in and she knew that meant she was close. Eventually, when little Fitz fell asleep as well, she dozed off.

When she woke up, it was bright out and when she looked up, Lily was staring at her, standing from the side of the bed.

"Hi Mommy," she greeted brightly. "Daddy said to wake you up because we have to eat breakfast. We went to the restaurant to get it. We got rainbow bagels."

She yawned and sat up slowly then turned her feet off the side of the bed. She pulled Lily into a hug and kissed her. "Thank you for waking me up. Tell Daddy I'll be there in a few minutes and to start eating without me."

Lily smiled and nodded then sprinted off and then it occurred to her to go over using the elevator all alone with the girls.

She stood and walked to the bathroom to quickly relieve herself and brush her teeth and wash her face before she quickly moisturized her skin then headed to the elevator and down to the kitchen in her pajamas. The house was busier than it was the night before. When she stepped out of the elevator. Both chefs were in the kitchen, working through menus and items to add to the kitchen. The handy men were at the front door, doing some work on the doorbell and camera system.

She walked through the kitchen to the breakfast nook beside the large window. Fitz was standing by the table with a spread of breakfast. There were a few options of large breakfast bagels and cream cheese flavors along with some sandwiches and drinks.

"Mommy's here," Isabelle said as she got up and walked over to Olivia and hugged her.

"Hi Izzy, good morning," Olivia said.

Fitz turned to see her and smiled, "Good morning."

Isabelle walked back to her seat and Daisy came over and hugged Olivia too before she went back to her seat to finish her breakfast. Olivia walked to Fitz and he hugged her and kissed her lips.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

"Good," she said. "hungry."

"I got a little of everything. I wasn't sure what you'd want," he said.

Olivia looked at the table a bit closer. There were about 7 different kinds of bagels and 10 different containers of gourmet cream cheeses from blueberry and strawberry flavors to bacon and jalapeno and Scallion cream cheese. She chuckled because it was a bit excessive. "Thank you, honey. You walked to the shop?"

"The girls were up and a little energetic so I decided to take them out to walk. The weather is great outside."

"Daddy, remember we have to go to the pool slide," Lily said. "you promised!"

"I did," he said with a chuckle. "I don't remember that."

"You did!" Daisy said.

"What time did I say it?" Fitz asked.

Lily groaned. "Daddy you know she doesn't know the time."

Fitz guffawed and Olivia did too, "Do you know the time?"

"Not all the time," she quipped, then she groaned, annoyed. "Mommy, daddy promised. Make him keep his promise."

"Your dad is just being silly, he remembers," Olivia said.

Fitz laughed, "If I promise you then I'm going to keep my promise," he said to the girls then he turned back to Olivia. "Baby, you need to eat something. It's almost noon."

"What time did the girls wake up?"

"Maybe an hour and a half ago," he said.

Olivia nodded and sat on the cushioned seat. She took a wheat bagel and ate it with some scallion cream cheese. Fitz finished the last few bites of his bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and then unwrapped another and bit into it.

After they ate breakfast together Olivia and the girls went upstairs to change. Olivia changed out of her pajamas and put on a bikini top and shorts then helped the girls change into their bathing suits. They were energetic and still thrilled with their new home and the perks of the new city they lived in - such as the fact that they could simply walk ten minutes away to the store to have breakfast. In LA, it would take a 15-minute drive just to get to the foot of the hills they lived on which meant they had to drive everywhere. When they all changed and returned down to the kitchen area, the nutritionist Fitz hired as well as the confinement specialist were just arriving. Fitz had gone outside to meet with some of the security who were sitting in their cars parked in front of the house.

Unlike their L.A. home, there was no security booth at the gate. There was a room in the lower level that had been converted into a watch room of some sort, there the secret service and personal bodyguard could access technology to do their jobs and also access a bathroom. The rest of the guards stayed outside in the three cars parked in front of the home.

After Fitz met with them, he turned inside when he noticed the arrival of the two women.

He got inside just as Olivia was introducing herself to the women. "Hi, as I'm sure you know I'm Olivia- these are my daughters, Daisy, Isabelle, and Lily- my husban-"

"Is here," Fitz interjected as he walked over.

Olivia chucked, "yes."

Fitz walked over and shook the hands of the two women. One was a small, older Asian woman named Esther and the other was a brunette, caucasian woman named Hannah who looked to be in her thirties.

"Nice to meet you again," he said.

Olivia smiled, "I know you wanted to have a quick chat and then meet with the chefs to talk about what the next couple of months will look like. Do you want to meet with them first?"

"Yeah, I think that would be best," Hannah said.

Esther nodded in agreement.

"Alright, I'll be in the lower level with my girls so feel free to pop down when you're ready to chat," Olivia said.

She stepped off to the elevator with the girls and Fitz followed. When they were at the lower level and when the elevator door opened, they all stepped out. Lily and the twins ran to the pool area.

"Hold on- " Olivia said. "let's go over the rules for using the pool."

"Rules," Lily said with a groan.

"Yes," Olivia said as she continued walking.

They all stopped a few feet away from the pool. "Okay- some of the rules will be the same from our last pool okay- the first rule is that you are not allowed to be in the pool house without an adult watching you, that's either me or your dad or Sonia or your nannies okay?"

All the girls nodded.

"The next rule is that you always have to have floaties on when you're in the pool-"

"Why?" Lily asked.

"You can all swim but floaties give you a bit more protection in the water," Olivia said. "The next rule is that you can not run in the pool house at all- I don't want you to slip or trip. Also, I need you to go down the slides safely so no going head first or going two at a time.

"Why?" Daisy asked.

"Because safety comes first- if you run or go down the slide two at a time accidents can happen," Olivia explained then she walked to the hidden closet door a few feet away that stored their life vests, floaties, towels, goggles, and other supplies. Fitz took some of the arm bad floaties out and slipped them on their arms then all three of them walked to the far side of the pool to the slide. Lily went first and climbed up the steps then stopped at the top. "Mom, dad, look," she called.

Olivia had just sat down on one of the chaise lounge chairs by the pool. She looked over to them, as did Fitz. When Lily confirmed they were looking, she slid down the water slide, screaming with joy as she went into the pool.

"Mommy, daddy look at me," Daisy said as she did the same thing. Isabelle made the same request as she went down the slide and from then on, they took turns climbing up the ladder of the pool and going up and down the slide.

Fitz was beside Olivia on the chair, rubbing and kissing her belly as she lay with her head propped up, staring at him. As they sat together, her phone rang and when she checked, it was the doctor that Vanessa connected her with. After a quick conversation, she hung up and let out a breath.

"You're overwhelmed?" Fitz asked as he leaned up.

"No, I just think he's coming really soon. I feel it," she said with a small chuckle.

He laughed and kissed her belly again, "today?" he asked.

"Maybe...he really wants to meet his daddy," he smirked as he leaned up and kissed her lips.

"OH MY GOD, why do you keep kissing her," Lily called out from the other side of the pool.

"She's my wife," Fitz called out, laughing then he kissed her again. "You have these watermelons on your chest and you expect me not to kiss you?" he whispered so only Olivia could hear.

Olivia laughed, "watermelons?"

"The small round ones," he added.

She laughed, "oh my god." Then she sat up, "I have to pee-"

Fitz leaned up and Olivia stood from the chair. A rush of water came down her legs as soon as she stood and her mouth fell open as she looked at Fitz. "My water broke," she said.

He gasped and his mouth fell open as well then he stood and grabbed his phone from his pocket. He immediately called Vanessa, Olivia's ob/gyn. As he waited for her to pick up, he turned around to the girls. "Come on girls, you need to get out of the pool."

"No," Lily said, "why?"

Vanessa picked up and Fitz told her Olivia's water broke and once he finished his conversation with Vanessa who told them she would immediately make her way there, he called his assistant to let him know to make sure Vanessa had a chartered flight.

While he was on the phone, Olivia had texted the nannies for the girls. Sonia's flight was to arrive in the evening and they would need someone to watch them while she went to the hospital. Fitz helped the girls get out of the pool despite their protests while Olivia grabbed a towel and dried her legs.

"Why do we have to get out," Lily complained. "I was having fun."

Fitz stooped down before all three of them. "Guess what?" he whispered.

"What?" Lily asked.

"Your mom's water just broke and that means that your little brother is ready to come out and we have to go to the hospital to have the baby."

Lily gasped. "Okay, I have to put on dry clothes. I have to come with you to help mom."

Lily grabbed a towel from the closet and handed some to her sister. "Hurry up, we have to get dressed."

Fitz turned around to Olivia and walked over to her. She was on the phone now with the doctor Vanessa connected her with. She hung up, "Alright, she said she's going to get to the hospital and we should come in right away," Olivia said.

"Let me take you up to change," Fitz said.

Olivia nodded and they headed to the elevator together. It was waiting on the lower level and they headed up. Lily moved closer to Olivia and hugged her belly. "I'm so excited." Daisy jumped excitedly, "Mommy's having a baby!"

When they got off on the girls floor, they ran off to change their clothes. Both their nannies were waiting outside of the elevator for them. Lily was confused as to why they were there as she walked out but continued to her room.

"I'll be right down in a second to talk to you before we leave," Fitz said just before the elevator door closed and they headed one floor up to their bedroom. Olivia waddled out of the elevator and into her closet.

"What do you need?" he asked.

"Just some shorts and a top- and a bra," she said then pointed over the closet drawer and Fitz opened it and out a short then opened another and pulled out a bra then top. Olivia undid her bikini top and then pushed down her bottoms. Fitz opened up her shorts in front of her and she smiled at this thoughtfulness before she stepped into it and he pulled them up. He then helped her to put her bra on and shirt before he grabbed the bag her assistant put together from California with everything she would need for the hospital.

They headed down one floor on the elevator to the girl's floor.

"Lily thinks she's coming to the hospital to help you give birth so this won't be pretty. Do you want to wait downstairs? I'll be quick" he asked.

"No, it's okay, I can talk with them. I'm not having contractions or anything so I have a bit of time," she said.

Fitz nodded and he dropped her hospital bag by the elevator door before they walked into Lily's room together. She was no longer in her bathing suit, she was now in a floral dress and had her nanny Eva, drying her hair.

"Oh mommy, I'm almost ready," she said.

"Honey, you can't come with us to the hospital just yet," Olivia said.

"Why?" Lily asked.

"Well, kids aren't allowed in the hospital until after the baby is born, so as soon as your brother is born, we'll have Eva bring you and your sisters to see him at the hospital," Fitz said.

"But that's not fair," she complained. "I want to come and help you."

"And I really wish you could darling, I really do but you can't," Olivia said.

Lily threw down the towel she was using to dry her hair and huffed then she screamed and stormed over to her bed and plopped down before she covered her head with her pillow and sobbed.

Eva, her nanny, attempted to walk over to console her but Olivia stopped her and walked over instead. "Lily, I love you and I promise as soon as you can come and see me at the hospital, I'll have them take you to me," Olivia said as she pulled the pillow away from her face and leaned down and kissed her. She was scrunching her lips and though not actively sobbing anymore her face was wet.

Fitz moved over to Olivia, "Come on baby, we have to get you out of here."

"Wait-" Lily said as she finally sat up, "Daddy, can't you just make them let me stay?"

"Make them?"

She nodded, "because you're scary sometimes."

Fitz was flustered, "wait what- Lily why do you think that?"

Olivia turned back to Lily and waited for a response.

"The two guys who follow us around said you're scary."

"Who, the guards?" Fitz asked.

Lily nodded.

"I think they were joking, I'm not scary at all and I can't force the hospital to let you stay."

Lily groaned and pulled the pillow over her face once again. Olivia stood up from the bed with Fitz's help and he quickly leaned over and moved the pillow from her face and kissed her. "Sorry Rosebud, we'll see you as soon as we can but for now, you have to sit this one out okay."

Fitz walked over to her Eva and they moved out of Lily's earshot. "She's not happy about this but she'll be fine," he said. "Just let them play their games or watch tv to keep them occupied. When it's time for dinner, order them whatever they want and just be on standby for when it's okay to bring them to us."

The woman nodded and Fitz and Olivia went to the twin's room to tell them goodbye which was much easier than their sister. Finally Fitz took her down to the car and they headed off.

He briefly thought about the difference being a parent made. Leaving the house to give birth was not as easy as just rushing out as they did with Lily, this time they couldn't just rush out.

Olivia leaned over on him as they drove. He was feeling a mixture of excitement at welcoming a new child and some fear because it was childbirth and there were things that could go wrong, especially with how large the doctor estimated their son to be.

The drive to the hospital was quick and there was a team of healthcare workers waiting for them in the lobby like a delegation of some sort, to their surprise. They had a wheelchair for Olivia and she was happy to sit in it to relieve the pressure on her body. They headed up to the labor and delivery floor to the hospital suite waiting for them. A team of nurses and doctors checked her in and helped her change into a hospital gown. After about an hour they had finished checking her in and setting up the instruments to begin monitoring the labor.

Fitz sat on the chair beside her. Now they were waiting for her doctor who would be with her until Vanessa arrived.

"How are you feeling?"

She smiled, "nervous…waiting for contractions is certainly not the most fun part of all of this."

He chuckled and took her hand and kissed it. "Let me know if you need anything."

"I need you to tell him to hurry up and come out," Olivia said with a chuckle.

Fitz stood and leaned his face against her belly. "You hear that Fitzy, hurry up and get out."

Olivia laughed, "Fitzy, see, it just rolls off the tongue."

He groaned, "damn you. You did the same thing with Zeus- you come up with the fucking names."

"Come on, he liked Zuzu much better than he liked Zeus. I did you both a favor."

Fitz laughed, "and now you have me calling him Fitzy and I don't even realize it."

Olivia rubbed her belly, "he will be a little Fitzy," he said. "I wonder who he'll look like more?"

"Lily looked like you from the moment she was born," Fitz said.

She smiled, "yes, my first girl! The twins are evenly split between our features I think."

"It's funny when I first came back, they actually had a bit of your accent…now I can't tell as much."

"Lily sounded completely British until she started school. The twins picked it up but they spent so much time with Sonia they actually would say a few Jamaican words and that's how I found out Sonia spoke Jamaica around them when I wasn't there."

Fitz chuckled, "yeah, I saw it on the one video I found on your phone."

"When you watched every single video I had of them when they were younger," she said.

"I'm glad you had as many videos as you did, at least I got a glimpse of what I missed- watching Lily at 2 years old on her little potty, pooping and asking you to come look."

Olivia laughed, "Some things never change."

"Or the twins doing that little crawl-scoot thing that they did before they walked."

"And then Lily pretended not to know how to walk even though she was walking at like 8 months old. She started crawling with them as well."

He laughed and kissed her hands. "And then here I come, impregnating you immediately."

"You did the same thing with Lily…"

"And who's fault was that, virgin!"

She guffawed and then broke into an uncontrollable laugh and that was when she felt her first contraction. She squeezed his hand and groaned.

It lasted a few seconds and Fitz moved closer and gently caressed her hair and she waited for the contraction to pass. When it was over she opened her eyes and moments later her doctor walked in with two nurses.

"It seems like you just had a contraction?" the doctor said.

Olivia sat up and nodded. "The first one, it wasn't too bad."

The doctor nodded. "Baby is doing good so this is the part that requires patience, just waiting is progress."

"I forgot to ask when specifically I would be able to take the epidural? My first two pregnancies were much different than this one," Olivia asked.

"We want to wait until you're in active labor, so that's when your contractions are about 5-10 minutes apart," she said. Her name was Dr. Smith and she wore pink scrubs and a white coat.

Olivia let out a breath and chuckled, "Alright, I think Vanessa told me that I just forgot."

Fitz checked his watch to mentally time her contractions now.

"Can she eat?" he asked.

Dr. Smith nodded, "Absolutely."

They both nodded and she headed out with the team of health care workers.

"What do you want to eat?" Fitz asked.

"Fries," Olivia said. "Buttered bread."

"A chip butty," Fitz said. "I'm on it."

Lily's nanny stooped beside her bed. It had been over an hour since Fitz and Olivia left and she still wouldn't get out of bed.

"Your dad said you could watch TV if you want? You can do anything fun you can think of," she said.

"Why do you keep talking to me," Lily said with a groan. "Just leave me alone and tell me when I can go see my mommy at the hospital."

"But Lily, it will take some time before you can go to the hospital…until then, you can do something fun to make you feel better….your dad said you can have anything at all you want for dinner."

"I don't like you," Lily yelled. "And I don't want you to be my nanny, I want Sonia! So just be quiet and stop talking to me!"

Her nanny groaned and stood then headed out of her room to find the twin's nanny to see if she was having the same trouble. She walked into the twins bedroom and it was empty then she heard a loud laugh and scream down the hall. She walked on the light pink carpeted floor to the playroom and when she opened the door, the twins were laughing and screaming as they jumped inside the bouncy house. She walked quickly over to Natalie, the twins' nanny. "How is it going?"

"Great, they just want to play," she said. "How's it going with you?"

"She won't get out of bed and she won't talk to me. I know I just need to say the right thing to her but I don't know what that is."

"Sonia should get here later in the evening. I think she should land in an hour or two so maybe she can talk to her."

Eva nodded and then headed off. When she went back to Lily's room, she was gone.

"Lily?" she called.

She got no response and went to the bathroom but it was empty. "Lily?" she called again as she looked around her bedroom. When she couldn't find her she went to the twins room, then checked the playroom and then checked the other bedroom on the floor. She went down to the kitchen to check if she had gone for a snack but the two chef's still working together on menus and sourcing food and dividing labor hadn't seen her. She searched the entire first and 2nd floor, checking the living room, parlor, library, den, dining room, and washroom as well as all the bathrooms. She was beginning to panic when she checked the rooms and pool house on the lower level as once again, Lily wasn't found. She went back up to the kid's bedroom floor and checked again. She finally decided to call Fitz and nervously dialed his number.

Fitz sat with Olivia and just as she went through her another contraction, his phone began to ring. He looked down and saw that it was the nanny.

"Who's calling?" Olivia asked.

"Lily's nanny," he said as he answered.

"Is everything okay?" he asked in lieu of a greeting because he figured that was the only reason she would have to call given the circumstances.

"Umm…" Eva began. "Is there anywhere in the house that Lily likes to hide? I stepped out of her room for a second and when I came back I couldn't find her. I searched everywhere."

Fitz stood, "I'll be right back, honey," he said to Olivia as he walked out.

"Where are you right now?" Fitz asked.

"I'm in her bedroom," Eva said.

"I'm going to dial the control pad in her room. Answer it," Fitz said before he hung up and dialed Lily's room. Eva answered the call on the pad and Fitz switched to the intercom through the entire house. "Lily, hiding from your nanny isn't funny. Get your little butt back to your bedroom now and call me."

He hung up and walked back into Olivia's hospital room. "What happened?" she asked.

"Lily is hiding from her nanny," he said with a chuckle.

Olivia laughed, "She's quite something, isn't she."

He nodded and a couple minutes later, his phone rang again and it was a facetime call from Lily's iPad. He answered it and Olivia immediately took the phone from his hand. "Hi my Lily cakes, are you alright?"

"I'm still mad!" she said.

"Aw, it's okay to be upset, I totally understand but you can't hide from your nanny okay, she has to make sure you're safe and that means knowing where you are at all times, okay?"

"I was just hiding in your closet, it wasn't even that hard to find me," Lily said.

"I can't wait to see you, okay Lily, be good, Sonia will be at the house soon and she won't be happy if your nanny tells her you are giving her a hard time."

Lily groaned, "okay."

"I love you," Olivia said.

"I love you too Mommy," Lily said.

"Love you princess," Fitz called.

Lily heard him but hung up without a response. Fitz guffawed and laughed. Olivia laughed as well and handed him back the phone. Her labor progress.

Fitz's assistant John, Olivia's assistant Rumi, and Sonia all took the same flight back on their personal jet. When they landed, John headed straight to the hospital after picking up Olivia's chip butty order from a small English restaurant in the West Village. Sonia and Rumi went to the house. Sonia checked on the girls quickly before she left for the hospital. Rumi stayed at the house to ensure a few things on her to-do list for the move were done.

John dropped off the food and took a few more orders from Fitz on what he needed to be done while Olivia was in the hospital. That included sending specially arranged flowers and treating the entire labor and delivery staff with food for the entirety of their stay. He went to unpack and set up all the deliveries from his new apartment.

When Sonia arrived at the hospital, Olivia's contractions were 30 minutes apart. She was munching on her fries and buttered bread while Fitz sat beside her eating the McDonalds John brought him.

"Sonia should be coming up in a sec," Fitz said when he got the text from a guard.

"Good," Olivia said.

Moments later Sonia walked in. "Olivia," she said with a smile. "How's it going?"

"I'm getting there," she said with a mouth full of fries and bread. "My contractions are about 30 minutes apart and not too painful. I'm just waiting for them to get closer so they can drug me."

Sonia smiled as she dropped her bag on the chair then walked to Olivia and caressed her belly. "You said your water broke right?"

Olivia nodded, "how were the girls when you stopped to check on them?"

"Lily was upset that she had a new nanny, she is really having a hard time with the change but that's expected you know, we were together for 6 years. I told her she would still see me all the time and that it would be like it was when Simone worked with us, she would help out in dropping her off and picking her up and doing some of the things I can't do but I would always technically still be her nanny. That seemed to help."

"Good, there's been a lot of change in the last week, let alone the month before. Once we're all settled I think she'll be fine."

Sonia nodded, "I agree, the twins were having a jolly ole time. They were eating fries and some sort of rainbow colored burger concoction their nanny ordered for them and chocolate milkshakes."

"They're not going to sleep anytime soon," Fitz said with a chuckle.

"Sonia, you must be tired from the flight, are you going to head back to your apartment?" Olivia asked, though she was hoping Sonia would stay.

"I was gonna stay here with you," Sonia said. "I slept for most of the flight..I might just need to freshen up so I think I will leave and come back quickly."

"Okay, my contractions are really far apart so I don't think he will be born tonight."

Sonia leaned over and kissed Olivia on her forehead before she grabbed her bag. "Take care of her. I'll be back."

"Yes ma'am," Fitz said with a small chuckle.

Sonia left the hospital room moments later. Olivia continued to eat her fries and bread until another contraction came then another and another. Fitz timed their frequency while he occasionally checked in on Vanessa's flight to ensure everything was going as planned.

Her water had broken just after 1 pm, and it wasn't until almost 7 pm that her contractions began coming closer together. They moved from 30 minutes apart to 20 minutes apart and then just around 15 minutes apart. "Alright Livie, they're 15 minutes apart now. I'm gonna call the doctor back in," he said just as the last contraction finished. She was still holding his hand tightly. "Yeah, I think it's time," she mumbled.

He stood and pressed the call button. Moments later, the medical team walked in. The doctor appointed by Vanessa along with the nurses had been very attentive, almost too attentive.

When they walked in, Fitz explained immediately. "Her contractions are now about 15 minutes apart."

Her doctor smiled, "so, you're ready for the epidural. I'll set that up for you right away." She turned to one of the nurses, "Can you page Dr. Nelly?"

"Dr. Nelly just left, Dr. Farroude is on call, do you want me to page him?"

"Uh sure," she said but Fitz picked up on a hesitation and wondered what that could mean. A second later she turned to the nurse and motioned for her to follow her out of the room. The other two nurses stayed and walked over to Olivia to standby to prep her for the injection but Fitz watched the doctor outside the hospital door mumble something to the nurse then she returned.

"What was it that you had to tell the nurse that you couldn't tell us," Fitz said.

The doctor was flustered by the question and the directness of it.

"It was…um..just a staff issue," she said.

"What staff issue," Fitz asked.

She let out a breath, "Honestly, Dr Farroude doesn't have great bedside manners so I just wanted to give him a heads up that he should try his best to watch his manners."

"Oh," Fitz said.

"Yeah," she said awkwardly. "Uh, I think now is a good time to check your dilation before preparing you for the epidural since your labor is progressing nicely."

Olivia nodded as the doctor pulled on gloves from the glove box on the wall and the nurses gently lifted her legs into the stirrups and covered her with a privacy apron. The doctor did a quick check. "So you're 4 centimeters dilated which is great," she said before she stood and ungloved her hands. "I'm going to update Dr. Breslin on your progress as soon as the epidural is administered."

"Thank you," Olivia said.

Fitz was standing beside her. "Pain wise, do you think it's worse than it was with Lily?"

"Actually, I think it's really quite similar to my labor with Lily," Olivia said with a chuckle. "apart from my water breaking first in this case."

The nurses lifted her legs from the stirrups and adjusted her bed and sheets before they helped her turn to her side and undid her hospital gown to begin the procedure. Moments later a male doctor walked in briskly with a nurse who was carrying a tray. He was older with silver and gray hair. He had a large round belly and stocky build. He pulled gloves from the glove box and began putting them on.

"Sit her up," he said to the nurses.

"-A-actually she's carrying pretty heavily so I think lying down may be-"

"I'm the anesthesiologist here Dr. Smith, you can leave the room if you'd like but if you don't I ask that you keep quiet while I work," he said then he walked to a chart on the wall and briefly read what was on it while his nurse prepped the medicine and injection.

Fitz realized exactly what Dr. Smith had mentioned but didn't say anything. He was determined to be on his best behavior and having a showdown with a doctor who was an asshole was not what Olivia needed during her labor. Two nurses helped gently pull her up from the bed and he walked over after reading the chart. After inserting the catheter quickly, he took the syringe and quickly injected her lower back before he handed it back to the nurse and walked out.

"You should feel relief in about 15 minutes," Dr. Smith said.

"Thank you," Olivia said as her nurses helped lay her back down.

"We're going to check on you in 5-minute intervals to keep an eye on how you're doing?" Dr. Smith said.

Olivia nodded. Dr. Smith and the team of nurses left. Fitz sat back in the chair he'd pulled up beside her bed.

"Thanks for not strangling him," Olivia said with a chuckle.

He shook his head, Well, Lily overhearing that the fucking secret service agents they sent to protect me are actually scared of me has tamed me for today."

"Really?" she asked.

"No, I just thought you'd be annoyed at me if I got into it with him."

She laughed, "He was a butthole for sure but it's best to ignore. He did his job."

Seconds later she got another contraction. "Mmmm," she groaned as she took his hand and squeezed it tighter than before. It lasted longer too and then she opened her eyes to let out a breath.

"That didn't seem like it was any less painful than the one before," he said.

"It wasn't but they said 15 minutes at least," she said. "Maybe the next one will be better."

He nodded and turned on the mounted tv in the room. He found something for her to watch and a few minutes into it, Dr. Smith and the nurses returned.

"It seems like you had another contraction. How would you rate the intensity compared to the previous one?" Dr. Smith asked.

"It was the same intensity as the one before," Olivia said. "Maybe even more intense."

"Okay," the doctor said. "You should see some relief in the next contraction."

Olivia nodded. They left after and she lay on her hospital bed, barely paying attention to the show playing on the TV. When the next contraction came it was more painful. Again, Dr. Smith told her to wait just a bit longer.

Another hour of contractions and she was distressed as they became closer together and much more intense.

"It's not working Fitz," she mumbled breathlessly.

"I'll call them again," he responded as he pressed the call button.

"They're not doing anything, they keep telling me to wait-"

"Okay, well that's not gonna work anymore," he said.

Dr smith and the two nurses returned.

"She's still feeling a lot of pain so something needs to be done. Call the anesthesiologist back," Fitz said.

There were hesitant but agreed before heading out. One of the nurses helped Olivia to sit up on the bed and moved her legs off the bed so she was sitting with her legs off the side of the bed. They undid her gown in case the anesthesiologist needed to access the site where the epidural was administered.

A few minutes later the door burst open and the anesthesiologist returned.

"What is the problem here?" he said. "I gave you medicine, that's it," he said in a middle eastern accent.

"Her symptoms haven't alleviated," Dr. Smith said.

"What do you expect me to do about that, this is childbirth."

Olivia groaned, "It worked right away with my first pregnancy, there must be a reason it's not working now."

He sighed, annoyed that he had to explain himself, "Every pregnancy is different, your chart says you've had two pregnancies before so I'm sure you're accustomed to labor and delivery. I placed the catheter perfectly and I gave you the correct dose. I'm not doing anything else."

Before Olivia could respond Fitz walked around the bed to the doctor grabbed him by the back of the neck and shoved his head down forcing him to look at her back.

"Call security," the doctor called out to the nurses.

"Here's the thing doctor," he said as he squeezed his neck harder making it impossible for the doctor to get another word out. "There's not a security guard in the world that could save you from me and to be honest I would have thought that given your profession you actually cared about helping you patients but evidently I was wrong-"

Dr. Smith and both the nurses in the room were frightened by what was going on but they didn't move to call anyone. Olivia was too distressed to care as she tried to figure out what Fitz was doing would help her.

"It was my fault for thinking you were decent but I'm going to give you one more chance to make things right before I make things wrong." Fitz shoved his face closer to the injection site on Olivia's back and leaned closer to him. "Do whatever the fuck you have to do to make sure that in the next 20 minutes, my wife stops feeling pain, and if you can't do that I'm gonna make sure that you start feeling pain. Do you understand?" Fitz asked.

The doctor nodded, shaken and confused by the sudden turn of events. Fitz let go of his grip on his neck and the doctor stood and turned to the nurses shakily, "Can you have my assistant prepare another vial quickly please."

Fitz checked his watch. "20 minutes exactly doctor. Work fast."

The nurses quickly headed out of the room. Dr. Farroude walked quickly to the glove box on the wall and gloved his hand before he walked back to Olivia. Fitz never moved and when he came back to her, he began to inspect the injection site when Olivia had another contraction. Fitz quickly moved around to her and stood in front of her. She grabbed onto him as she tried to breath through the pain but mid way through she began crying. "Just breathe through it," he said softly to her. "We're gonna figure it out, okay."

She sniffed and nodded as she continued taking her deep breaths. At the end of the contraction, the nurses returned, walking in briskly with the tray of medicine and the catheter.

Fitz checked his watch, "You have 15 minutes now doctor."

"I can't make it work that fast," he said.

"Oh you will," Fitz responded.

"Quickly remove the first catheter and sanitize the area," he said to one of the nurses. "Quickly."

He prepared the new catheter and once she cleaned the area on Olivia's lower back again he leaned down and very carefully reinserted it. Olivia felt a pinch as he placed the new catheter and then inserted the epidural. He secured the catheter in place and then leaned up.

"10 minutes exactly," Fitz said. "Now we'll wait another 10 for it to work and you'll wait with us."

"I have other patients," he said.

"Now, you care about patients?" Fitz said. "No, you'll wait here."

"You can't do that," the dr. Farroude protested angrily.

"I am and if you want to test me, try walking out that door."

Dr. Farroude looked at the door then at the nurses and Dr. Smith as well, he was embarrassed and it wasn't lost on him that none of them seemed to be protesting his treatment. He huffed and stood in his spot. Fitz stood in front of Olivia and they all were silent as seconds and minutes passed. Olivia began to feel numbness in her lower body.

"I need to lay down," she said after a few minutes.

The nurses came to her quickly and helped her lay on her side with the catheter in her back. They waited and Fitz checked his watch again. There were two minutes left. They waited in silence again and just a minute later she had another contraction.

She took a deep breath.

"Are you having another one?" he asked.

Olivia nodded. He held her hand but this time there was barely a squeeze. She took a few breaths and started crying again but this time she chuckled, "I barely felt that one."

The nurses smiled and Dr. Smith couldn't help but smirk.

Fitz pressed his hand against her cheek and leaned over and kissed her against her hair. "Try to sleep and save your energy," he said.

Olivia nodded happily.

"Can I go?" the doctor asked.

"Yes, get out," Fitz said.

He walked out, angry and embarrassed. He immediately turned to find the director of the labor and delivery floor to report the incident and have security return to the room but when he found the director he was promptly informed of who Fitz and Olivia were and that he should return and apologize for his conduct. Instead of doing as directed by his direct supervisor, he stormed off stewing in anger.

Back in Olivia's delivery suite, she'd fallen asleep almost instantly. After that, it was just Dr. Smith, Fitz, and the same two nurses.

There was quiet for a while and Fitz wondered why they weren't leaving so he decided to speak.

"I'm sorry you had to see that. It wasn't my intention to behave that way, especially in front of you," he said.

Dr. Smith was the first to speak in response, "this might be unprofessional but it's the first time I've seen someone get him to do his job properly so I don't know if I can complain."

"I'm glad you said that because I'm curious about why he's on staff if he's such an asshole to his patients."

"It's complicated," Dr. Smith said. "He's an older, seasoned doctor who's been with the hospital for a couple of decades. He also has connections to the board. Most of the time, he administers an injection without a word, pleasant or otherwise, to his patients. Sometimes it's effective, but sometimes he doesn't administer the medicine correctly, whether it's because of placement of the catheter or whatever, and out of arrogance he refuses to correct his work. Typically, when he does that, patients have no recourse so they have no choice but to proceed with labor. We file complaints, patients do as well, there are meetings with HR but nothing ever gets resolved."

One of the nurses nodded and jumped in, "he deserved it. I don't want to sound like you know…like a bad person but good for him. He's a misogynist and it's doctors like him that cause women to die in childbirth all the time because they don't listen or care. He's hell to work with so I'm glad he got put in his place."

"Glad I could help," Fitz said with a humorless chuckle.

They chatted for a while longer until they left. He called the girls nannies to check in on them and they were sleeping. After that, he dozed off with his head leaned against Olivia's bed since it was getting late and he figured it was best to sleep while she was sleeping so that once she was awake he could be rested for whatever came next.

When he heard Olivia calling him he sat up just in time to see Sonia walking to the bed as well. Olivia was holding her belly, "he's coming-I need to push," she said quickly.

Sonia quickly reached for the call button and pressed it.

Fitz stood quickly and pushed his chair back. Olivia grabbed onto the side of her hospital bed as she felt another contraction.

"Mmmmm-I need to push," she said again, breathless.

Fitz turned to Sonia, "what happened- when did she wake up?"

"She woke up just like a minute ago," Sonia said as she held Olivia's hand.

Vanessa and Dr. Smith as well as a couple of nurses walked in briskly.

"She said she needs to push," Fitz said quickly.

Vanessa nodded. She's landed from her flight an arrived at the hospital an hour prior. "Olivia, how are you doing? What do you feel?" she asked as she quickly grabbed a surgical apron and mask.

"I need to get him out, I feel him pressing down there," Olivia said.

The nurses quickly began to adjust the bed.

"Are you feeling any pain at all," Vanessa asked.

"Not alot," she said. "it just feels like pressure, he just feels really big-"

The nurses opened her legs and placed them on the stirrups before moving her gown.

"That's good, no pain is good but we still want you feeling-" A nurse pushed a stool at the end of the bed and Vanessa sat there. "Alright, you are fully dilated and effaced. I think it's time to meet your baby boy."

Dr. Smith quickly put on a robe and gloves and mask as well. A nurse left the room while the other adjusted the top of the bed.

They were moving very quickly. Sonia moved to the other side of Olivia and began recording on her phone, something Erin took over at the twin's birth.

"Alright, just like what we practiced, I want you to push on your contractions and I'll tell you when," Vanessa said. "We'll try to get him out nice and smooth."

Olivia nodded and she panted, breathlessly.

Another team of nurses and a doctor wearing pink scrubs entered with a bassinet and some supplies for the babies.

"Alright, I'm going to tell you when to push on the next contraction."

Fitz held her hand and leaned closer to her.

"Alright Olivia, I need you to give me a big push…now," Vanessa said.

Olivia squeezed Fitz's hand on one side and grabbed Sonia's on the other and pulled in a deep breath and pushed.

"Hold it…hold it..." Vanessa instructed. "Alright breathe."

Olivia stopped pushing and tried to catch her breath.

"Nice job- his head is right there-"

"Really?" Olivia asked breathlessly.

"Yeah and he's doing great- we have another contraction, I want you to push in my command okay-" Vanessa said…" alright gimme another big push."

Olivia squeezed again and pushed as hard as she could.

"Oh my god- he's really big-" she groaned.

"You're doing good, he's a big one but we'll get him out-" Vanessa said. "Take a breath. Don't rush, okay."

Fitz brushed her hair from her face, "you're doing great Livie," he whispered.

She took another large breath and waited for Vanessa's command.

"Give me another big push and hold it for 10 seconds alright," she said. Olivia pushed as hard as she could and Vanessa counted. As she pushed she finally felt pain begin to break through the epidural and she began to scream.

"He's coming, keep pushing," Vanessa said.

She squeezed Fitz tighter until she ran out of air and couldn't push anymore. She let out the breath. She was beginning to sweat in the cool room and felt burning and stretching between her legs.

"You're really close, alright angel-"

Olivia shook her head, "he's too big- I can't do it-" she groaned before she felt an intense contraction and screamed.

"You can do it," Fitz said.

She pushed until she was out of breath and started crying.

"Don't tell me I can do it-" she said angrily. "I can't do it-"

"Yes you can," he said again as he wiped her eyes. "When Vanessa tells you to push, you're going to push as hard as you can."

"No," she said angrily as she squeezed his hand tighter.

"I need you to push again Olivia- as hard as you can," Vanessa said.

"Come on Liv," Sonia said, still recording everything as her labor progressed.

"Scream as loud as you want, okay, but you're gonna push hard," Fitz said. "You can do it, Angel."

"Gimme a big push now," Vanessa said and Olivia felt another contraction immediately. She pushed hard and felt Vanessa had pressed against her perineum and after a feeling of fire between her legs Vanessa smiled as she looked up.

"Baby's head is out," she announced, "take a breath Liv, you're doing great."

Olivia tried to catch her breath.

"Just the shoulders now," Vanessa said as they quickly suctioned little Fitzy's nose. "I'll tell you when to push, he has some broad shoulders."

"Nooooo," Olivia cried then she turned to Fitz. "This is your fault," she said angrily to him.

Sonia chuckled.

"Would now be a good time to tell you that for your birth gift, I bought you an island," Fitz said, trying to distract her from her distress.

What?" Olivia asked, confused.

"It's the island where we conceived Lily," he said. "In Indonesia- I basically had to bribe the government to sell it to me."

"Really?" she asked again, as she was feeling another contraction coming.

A couple of the nurses shot looks at each other, surprised at casual mention of purchasing an island.

"Yeah, I paid a bunch of Australian white guys with no sense of self-preservation to go and capture all the leopards and snakes and komodo dragons-" Fitz said. "One of them got mauled pretty badly - about 5 of them got bitten-"

"What?" Olivia said.

"I'm sure a story will break any day now-"

"Don't make me laugh Fitz," she said as she laughed but felt another contraction.

Vanessa and the nurses were laughing as well. Sonia shook her head and cackled.

"Okay, Olivia, I need another push- I'll tell you when."

"Remember Angel, scream as loud as you want, it's your constitutional right to scream during labor-"

"Shut up," Olivia said as she laughed then felt the contraction.

"Give me a big push," Vanessa said.

Olivia squeezed him and pushed as hard as she could and when she felt the burning and pressure she screamed. The pain was dizzying but then it subsided.

"That's it," Vanessa said as she pulled little Fitz out. "He's out."

Olivia let out a breath of relief and cried as Fitz leaned down, hugged her and held her. "You did it," he whispered as he kissed her.

The sound of little Fitz's crying became audible briefly as they quickly performed the apgar test. Olivia smiled as they broke the kiss, "is he alright?" she asked Vanessa.

"He's more than okay," Vanessa said with a chuckle. "He's a football player. He could be drafted tomorrow."

One of the pediatric nurses wrapped him in a blanket and placed a cap on his head then lifted him and moved him up to Olivia. She gently laid him in her arms, his umbilical cord was still attached. Fitz's eyes opened wide when he saw him. "Football player?...He's a monster-" Fitz blurted out before he could stop himself.

"Fitz," Olivia scolded playfully.

He turned to her, "That's a grown man…"

Sonia laughed, as did the nurses and doctors.

She shook her head and smiled as she looked down at her baby boy for the first time. He was huge and she was for a moment astounded and proud that she managed to birth him vaginally.

She ran her finger against his chubby red cheeks. His eyes were closed tight. "He's beautiful," Olivia whispered.

"He is," Fitz said as he leaned over and kissed him against his forehead then whispered. "I'm sorry I called you a monster and I'm sorry I called you sasquatch. I didn't mean it."

Olivia laughed, "ugh, I just love you so much."

Fitz leaned up and kissed her, "I love you too. I'm so proud of you."

She smiled and became tearful, "you said that with Lily too."

"I did?" he said as he tried to remember, "oh yeah, I did."

Olivia laughed and looked back at Fitzy and kissed his cheek. "He is quite big," she mused.

"Don't let him hear you Angel, he's the man of the house now and I don't want to upset him. I've already said too much."

Olivia rolled her eyes and laughed.

"Certainly, a linebacker," Dr. Smith said, "especially compared to the other preemies in the NICU."

"He will stay very far away from football, we don't need anymore brain damage in the family," Fitz said. "If he's doing anything with a ball it'll be soccer." When he said it Fitzy managed to kick open the loosely wrapped blanket.

"See," Fitz said as he leaned over. Olivia smiled as she recalled how much he would kick when he was in her womb.

His chubby little left leg had a hospital tag around it and Fitz lifted it gently to Olivia's lips, "you have to kiss his left leg to bless it."

Olivia laughed and kissed his foot gently.

"Now, when people ask him why he's so good at soccer he can say his left leg was kissed by god."

Olivia laughed as did the nurses, "you see what I have to deal with Vanessa?" Olivia said.

Vanessa laughed, "you love it," she teased then turned to Fitz. "It's time to cut the cord. Do you want to do the honors Fitz?"

One of the pediatric nurses clamped the white umbilical cord and handed Fitz a pair of medical scissors. He cut the umbilical cord and Olivia smiled as she watched him.

Olivia felt a small contraction but it didn't hurt.

"Your placenta is coming," Vanessa said.

"Do you want to hold him?" Olivia asked Fitz.

"Of course," he said.

He gently lifted little Fitzy from her arms and kissed him.

"Do you mind if we take a look at him?" the pediatrician asked.

Fitz kissed him again and gave him to the pediatrician who took him over to a portable medical cart and along with a team of nurses began examining him.

Fitz moved back to Olivia. "How are you feeling?" he asked.

"A million times better now that he's out," Olivia said with a laugh. "Fuck that was hard..can you imagine if that asshole anesthesiologist didn't come back and make sure the epidural worked."

Fitz laughed and leaned over and kissed her, "as long as it worked."

"Alright, placenta is out," Vanessa announced. "Now, we're just gonna clean you up."

"Did I tear?" Olivia asked.

"You did great, you pushed on the contractions and I'm not seeing any tears."

Olivia smiled, "it's just so crazy, I tore with Lily and she was tiny compared to little Fitzy."

"Actually," the pediatrician said, just as they finished weighing him. "He clocks in at 10 pounds and 4 ounces and 22 inches long. He is looking very good and his second APGAR test is great but he's a 99th percentiler all around."

Olivia's mouth fell open, "what?"

"Holy shit?" Fitz said. "And he's a month early?"

Olivia laughed, "Okay so tell me more about my push gift?"

"I call it Isle Olivia although you are free to rename and also ban me from it," Fitz said with a chuckle.

"No, I'd never ban you from it," Olivia said with a chuckle. "But wait- you said someone got mauled?"

"Sure did," Fitz said, laughing. "He got torn up pretty badly but he's alive…last time I checked."

"Fitz- how did someone manage to get mauled?" she asked with a laugh.

"The details are unclear but on the bright side, we got all 7 leopards from the island and the kKomododragons and a few other animals I'm sure you wouldn't want anywhere close to you. Those animals, minus the one leopard that bit the guy I've donated to a couple of zoos and sanctuaries. The snakes are a different story. We've been using a thermal imager to find all the animals but snakes are cold-blooded so as you can imagine, they're pretty hard to detect so we've been having to largely mass poison them and then find the carcasses. It's messy work."

"I hate snakes so if there isn't a single snake on the island then that would make me happy."

"See, I know my wife," he said as he grabbed her face and peppered kisses all over her lips chin and nose.

Olivia giggled when he let her go. "You bought me an island," she said. "That's mad."

A nurse anesthesiologist helped her turn slightly and removed the epidural catheter just before another labor and delivery nurse helped put a postpartum diaper on Olivia. By then, the pediatric team had finished examining little Fitzy. The pediatrician lifted him from the bassinet and carried him over to Olivia. "He's perfect," she said as she gently placed him in Olivia's arms.

"Can I breastfeed him now?"

"Sure, it may take a few hours to days for your breastmilk to come in-"

"Actually, my milk has typically come in time for me to breastfeed right away," Olivia said.

"Yeah, definitely go for it," Vanessa said. "It's a nice time to have some skin-to-skin too."

The nurses shifted the bed and then helped Olivia to undo her hospital gown then one of the pediatric nurses unwrapped Fitzy from his blanket. He was in just a diaper and the nurse helped Olivia place him up against her chest for breastfeeding. Her breasts were heavy and full, she took her nipple then gently pressed it against his lips that were as full and pouty as his sisters. Olivia entreated him to suck and after a few moments, he finally opened his mouth just enough for her to slip her nipple in his mouth.

Fitz watched with a small smile, his heart was full as the sight of them. Sonia had finished recording and a group of the staff began to trickle out to give them some privacy.

Olivia watched as he latched a few moments after she slipped her nipple in his mouth and smiled. She cradled his head and gently caressed it as he drank.

"Ugh, I love being a mum," she said with a smile.

"Does it hurt?" Fitz asked, "Since you haven't breastfed in a while?"

"No, he's latched on pretty well and I'm used to it."

He leaned over and kissed little Fitz on the top of his head as he drank and then he kissed Olivia. "I just love you so much," he said as his eyes teared up.

"I love you too," she said with a smile as she teared up as well.
