Jen screamed out as she tumbled down through the universal tunnel, shouting out before she suddenly just grew bored and accepted her fat, closing her eyes in preparation when, without warning, a swirling portal opened out of nowhere in the void and Jen shouted out as she fell into it and then landed in a heap on the ground.

Standing up onto her feet, Jen groaned and looked around, seeing that she was in some kind of museum and she looked around at the various artifacts that were all around her.

"...Hello?" she asked. "I don't know if there's anyone here, but I'm not exactly from this dimension."

"Well, it's a surprise to see you so suddenly, Master Spark," said a powerful yet calming voice.

Jen looked above to see a bald-headed woman at the head of the stairs. She wore short-sleeved yellow and gold robes across her entire figure and had a necklace in the shape of an eye hanging around her neck and a familiar golden bracelet around her wrist.

"You're with the Protectors," Jen realized as she spotted the enchantlet immediately as the woman approached the young Anodite hybrid as she descended the stairs.

"And you were just at the Forge of Creation," she inquired. "You just killed Aggregor and that was when you, your brother, cousins and friends were all scattered across the multiverse."

"Well, yeah."

"I've been watching you, Jennifer Tennyson. I've been gazing into your dimension for a long time now. All of the Protectors in other worlds have.

"Who are you?"

"Names no longer matter. You may refer to me as the Ancient One."

"Um... okay," Jen said before looking the Ancient One in the eyes. "Can you send me home?"

"I could if I could pinpoint exactly where it was, but I am afraid that this world needs your help at the moment. For the threat that's coming, this world needs a wild card. You are that wild card that no one will expect."

"Really?" Jen asked, shocked.

"Of course. You're a superhero and you're the Master Spark, Jen Tennyson. Your responsibility is not just to your own universe, but the entire multiverse."

"Well... alright," Jen said before psyching herself up. "Where am I going?"

"Right now, I have to send you to a place in Europe called Sokovia," the Ancient One introduced. "That doesn't exist in your world."

"No, it doesn't. What am I doing there?"

"So far, meeting this world's group of heroes. It'll take some explaining, but I'm sure that they'll accept you for who you are despite your age. Are you ready?"

"Wait, what?"

"Farewell."

The Ancient One then formed a portal with her hand then pushed Jen through it and she groaned out as she hit the ground and the portal closed behind her.

Jen stood up and immediately felt a chill as she examined where she stood and snapped her fingers as she changed into her winter clothes, which included a heavy pink coat and combat pants and heavy combat boots as she looked around, confused.

And then, she noticed a heavy military vehicle zoom forwards with several military soldiers in their own Jeeps or riding on motorcycles pursuing by or around them as well as robotic drones flying over them.

"Right!" Jen said as she morphed into her Anodite form and took a hot pursuit after who she was sure were the heroes of this dimension.

She noticed that the man in the back fired several arrows out that killed or knocked off any soldier around him in their vehicles. As a drone flew by the driver's door, she quickly kicked the door open and jabbed the drone back as a man in a flying suit of mechanical armor flew in and destroyed it with an energy blast from the suit's palms.

As the soldier in the jeep behind was about to fire an energy blast at the archer, a flying blonde man in a suit of armor with a red cape flew in and knocked him out of the vehicle with his hammer before flying upwards into a sniper perch and quickly disposed of all the soldiers resting in it. A drone flew by him and he kicked it off before ripping one of the girders off of the tower and leaping to the ground, knocking all the soldiers off with his intense strength.

Jen noticed as soon as one soldier aimed his grenade launcher at the blonde, a man in red, white and blue armor with a unique shield that had the symbols of the American flag on it rode by on his motorcycle and picked him up before he was about to fire and dragged him across the ground and tossed him into a set of other soldiers, leaving him screaming all the while. He tossed his shield from his back and it immediately ricocheted off the trees in the woods before it knocked out any soldier that dared fire on him.

He rode the motorcycle through the woods before he encountered a tank that was then immediately dispatched by the blonde hero's hammer... and was then immediately picked up by a rampaging green monster with purple pants as he roared and tossed the tank away and was soon joined by the other heroes.

As they joined together, the two heroes in the Jeep immediately leaped out of the vehicle and all six heroes jumped over the barriers, looking absolutely badass as hell and leaving Jen starstruck as she flew overhead.

The armored hero, Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, flew into the distance, blasting all the lasers and rockets out of his armor he could and he flew up into the fortress, avoiding all of the energy blasts that were thrown at him from the fortress' defense system. As he tried to get in, however, he bounced off the roof, which was protected by a forcefield.

"Shit!" he shouted.

"Language!" the blue-suited hero, Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, shouted from his motorcycle. "J.A.R.V.I.S., what's the view from upstairs?!"

"The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield," an A.I. named J.A.R.V.I.S. said as he examined from a satellite deep in space. "Strucker's technology is far beyond any other HYDRA base we've taken."

More soldiers moved in and the blonde warrior, Thor Odinson quickly dropped in and engaged in hand to hand combat, throwing in a few good whacks from his hammer for good measure.

"Loki's scepter must be here!" Thor said. "There's no way that Strucker could possibly mount this kind of defense without it. At long last."

As the Jeeps and soldiers fired at the heroes, the red-headed female, known as Natasha Romanoff or Black Widow tossed a grenade into the trunk of the Jeep that detonated and sent everyone in it flying. She then leaped into the fray and knocked out any soldiers in the foxholes with her stunning hand-to-hand combat skills.

"'At long last' is lasting a little long, boys," Black Widow said.

She pulled out her handgun and headshot a soldier that tried to surprise her from behind as the archer, Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye moved in and blasted at an energy turret from a far distance.

"Yeah," he said. "I think we lost the element of surprise."

"Wait a minute," Iron Man said as he flew in and shot down the soldiers in the fortress. "No one else is going to deal with the fact that Cap just said 'language?'"

"I know," Captain America said as he engaged a Jeep before he leaped onto the front of his bike and tossed it at the Jeep, destroying both vehicles and sending the soldiers inside the Jeep flying back into the trees. "Just slipped out."

"Oh, my Gods," Jen said as she witnessed the madhouse taking place below her... and then gasped as she avoided the energy blasts flying at her from below as the soldiers finally took notice of her and she smiled in satisfaction. "Now we're talking."

She then flew across the battlefield, firing dozens of mana bolts at any soldiers that fired on her as she cheered and effortlessly knocked them out, the heroes taking notice of this, surprised, as she landed and summoned a mana sword to her hand as she landed beside Thor.

"Hey," she said with a cute smile, much to the blonde hero, Thor's shock.

"An Anodite?" the blonde hero asked, stunned at seeing the energy being as they both clashed with the soldiers in the snow. "How can this be?"

"Oh, that's going to take a lot of explaining. But just tell your friends that I'm Jen Tennyson. And apparently, I'm here to help you guys," she said before ducking a blast and firing a mana wave outwards that knocked a couple of soldiers back.

"Oh, it will definitely take a lot of explaining," Thor deadpanned.

Inside the fortress, a bald man. obviously Baron von Strucker, climbed up the steps where he glared upon all the scientists inside.

"Who gave the order to attack?" he asked.

"Herr Strucker, it's the Avengers," the scientist answered. "They landed in the far woods. The perimeter guard panicked. On top of that, there's some kind of pink energy being that's helping them. We've never seen anything like her before."

"They have to be after the scepter," he whispered to his head scientist, Dr. List. "Can we hold them?"

"They're the Avengers."

"Deploy the rest of the tanks!" Strucker ordered. "Concentrate fire on the weak ones. A hit may make them close ranks. Everything we've accomplished and we're on the verge of our greatest breakthrough.'

"Then let's show them what we accomplished," Dr. List answered. "Send out the twins."

Strucker and List turned to a set of twins, one male with platinum blonde hair and another with long red hair in a strapping punk-style red outfit.

"It's too soon."

"That's what they signed up for."

"My men can hold them."

More soldiers moved into the fortress' cannons and blasted everything they had on the armored hero, Iron Man, with no avail as he was joined by Jen as she flew in overhead and blasted at the fortress with her mana blasts.

"What the..." he asked, noticing the heroine for the first time.

"Hi," she said as she stopped and shook his hand. "I'm Jen."

"You're a child," Tony said as he looked her up and down, noticing how young she was even in her alien form. "What are you doing here?"

"Hey, I may be a child, but I can clearly handle myself!" she said as she put up a forcefield around both of them and easily blocked all the bullets.

"...Touche," Iron Man said as he was then contacted by J.A.R.V.I.S.

"Sir, I hate to make this introduction so brief, but the city is taking fire."

Tony looked into the city of Sokovia and nodded as he saw several civilians screaming as the soldiers fired upon them.

"Well, we know Strucker's not gonna worry about civilian casualties... send in the Iron Legion."

"The what?" Jen asked.

The civilians stepped back as several mechanical blue and white armored suits with the red Avengers logo flew in from the distance and landed in the city, backing the civilians up.

"This quadrant is unsafe. Please back away," J.A.R.V.I.S. ordered through the Iron Legion. "We are here to help."

Throughout the city, the Sokovians protested and shouted at the various Iron Legion drones. In the chaos, a mother and son looked around the area as the Legion gave out orders.

"We wish to avoid collateral damage. We will inform you when this current conflict is resolved. We are here to help."

"Avengers, go home!" the crowd protested as one man lit a Molotov cocktail and tossed it at the drone, setting it aflame, but not deterring it whatsoever.

"We will not yield!" Strucker shouted as the twins, Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, stood by, nodding. "The Americans have sent their circus freaks to test us. We will send them all back in bags! No surrender!"

"No surrender!" the soldiers all shouted before dispersing as Strucker turned to Dr. List.

"I am going to surrender. You delete everything. If we give the Avengers the weapons, they may not look too far into what we've been-"

"The twins," Dr. List said.

"They are not ready to take on..."

"No, no, I mean," Dr. List pointed to see that Wanda and Pietro have vanished. "The twins."

Quicksilver rushed out of the fortress, leaving a blue streak behind him with his sister not far behind as Jen took notice of this, sensing new mana in the woods. And it was definitely Osmosian mana.

Hawkeye moved quietly through the trees as he eyed a bunker turret firing at him and he readied an arrow... just as it was intercepted by Quicksilver, who instantly caught it. Hawkeye then went for cover behind a tree, before he was smacked aside by Quicksilver as he rushed by.

Hawkeye stood up and looked up as Quicksilver casually walked by.

"You didn't see that coming?" he asked before rushing off again.

Hawkeye aimed his bow before lowering it as the bunker's turret fired up again and the energy blast grazed his side, sending him stumbling to the ground.

"Clint!" Black Widow shouted, running to him.

Captain America tread cautiously before Quicksilver ran to him again, knocking him into the air before he landed back on his feet.

"We have an Enhanced on the field."

"Clint's hit!" Black Widow called as Jen landed on the ground and adjusted her Ultimatrix as she spotted Black Widow rushing to Hawkeye to tend to his wound.

"Somebody want to take care of that bunker?"

And that was when the giant green monster, the Incredible Hulk, came roaring as he jumped onto the scene and charged through the bunker, instantly destroying it.

"Thank you."

Black Widow pulled some medical supplies from her belt and started tending to Hawkeye's wound and he groaned in pain.

"Stark!" Captain America shouted as he tossed his shield to hit several soldiers before he knocked them out with his combat skills. "We really need to get inside!"

"Me and the new girl are closing in!" Iron Man said as he and Jen landed on the fortress and sent out several blasts of energy from their hands that knocked the ensuing soldiers off the ledge.

"Um... are we?" Jen asked as she and Iron Man took back to the sky and soared through the fortress, blasting at any soldiers that came their way.

"J.A.R.V.I.S., do you see a power source for that shield?"

"There's a particle wave below the north tower."

"Great," Iron Man said. "I want to poke it with something."

"Can I at least get a chance to prove myself to you?" Jen asked. "Age be damned, I still have a reputation throughout the multiverse."

"Um... why not?"

"You're gonna love this, trust me!" Jen said as she took off even higher into the air before she adjusted her Ultimatrix and shouted out as she slammed the core down and transformed into Lumine as her entire body glowed with a brilliant light.

"What the..."

Lumine then smiled as she focused her energy and fired a powerful blast of concentrated light into the north tower, destroying the particle wave and shutting down the energy field around the fortress.

"What do you know, she really does know what she's doing. Who is she?"

"I am sure we will find out exactly who she is and why she's here later, sir."

"Right. Business first. The drawbridge is down, people!"

Captain America picked his shield back up and Thor flew down and knocked out the rest of the soldiers with a blast of lightning from his hammer, Mjolnir.

"The Enhanced?"

"He's a blur. Of all the new players we've faced, I've never seen this... in fact, I still haven't."

"Clint's hit pretty bad, guys," Natasha said over the radio. "We're gonna need evac."

"I can get Barton to the jet," Thor said, looking as a giant tank and more soldiers in powerful-looking armor moved back into the woods to face our heroes. "The sooner we're gone, the better. You, Stark and the girl secure the scepter."

"Girl?" Cap asked.

"There's this girl who's charging through the fortress with Stark. I don't know who she is or where she came from, but she looks extremely powerful and she seems to be on our side. I say we give her a chance."

"Copy that."

Thor and Cap looked on as the soldiers kept moving in.

"Looks like they're lining up," Thor said, readying Mjolnir.

"Well, they're excited," Cap said as he positioned his shield and Thor gave a mighty thrust to it with Mjolnir, sending out a massive shockwave that sent all the soldiers and the tank hurtling back and destroying their guns.

"Find the scepter."

"And for gosh sake, watch your language!" Iron Man shouted as he and Lumine carefully traversed the fortress' interior.

"That's not going away anytime soon," Cap said as he ran off.

"So what are we looking for again?" Lumine asked.

"A scepter. It was wielded by the one who got the Avengers together in the first place, Loki. All we know is that it's a source of tremendous power and we can't let HYDRA continue to have access to it."

"Roger," Lumine winked as she and Iron Man burst through the window of the lab, facing an onslaught of gunfire from the opposition, as Lumine created a light screen to block the bullets and they just bounced off of Iron Man's armor.

"Guys, stop. We need to talk this through," he said cheekily.

Guns popped up from his shoulders and he sent some small bullets hurtling through their legs, sending them to the ground in pain.

"Good talk," Lumine joked.

"No it wasn't," a soldier groaned.

Dr. List stood at the computer when he was suddenly blasted off of the computer by Iron Man and Lumine as Tony exited his armor to face the scientist head on and Lumine transformed back to human form.

"So this is what you really look like."

"Of course. You didn't think I was that energy being all the time, did you?"

Tony smiled at her as she got her game face on with a smile.

"Sentry mode," he ordered as the armor still had its weapons set on Dr. List. "Let me do the talking."

"You're the expert here. I'm just a newcomer."

"Okay, J.A.R.V.I.S. You know, I want it all," Tony said as he put a device up to Dr. List's computers. "Make sure you copy Hill at H.Q."

And with that, Tony started to download all of Dr. List's files into J.A.R.V.I.S.' mainframe.

"We're locked down out here," Black Widow said, gazing at the soldiers.

"Then get to Banner," Cap said, removing his helmet as he entered the fortress. "Time for a lullaby."

"I know you're hiding more than files," Tony said to List. "Hey, J, give me an I.R. scan of the room real quick."

The armor then gave out a scan and J.A.R.V.I.S. was quick to notify Tony.

"The wall to your left. I'm reading steel reinforcement and an air current."

Jen nodded as she walked up to the wall and winced.

"Please be a secret door, please be a secret door, please be a secret... door!" Jen said as she pushed on the wall and it sank in, opening up a hidden doorway. "Yay!"

And then, Jen and Tony carefully gazed into the dimly lit passageway inside as Jen lit up a ball of mana to illuminate the passage and the duo arefluly moved through.

Outside, the Hulk laid absolute waste to the HYDRA forces as Black Widow moved up to him.

"Hey, big guy," she said as the green giant turned to her. "Sun's getting real low."

Hulk growled at the assassin as she lowered to the ground and rose her hand to him. Hulk growled before he walked up and she slowly ran her hand across his gigantic arm.

Hulk grunted before he walked off, slowly transforming back to his human form, scientist Bruce Banner.

Strucker ran through the fortress to meet one of his soldiers, before he was suddenly thrown back by Captain America's shield as he walked up to him.

"Baron von Strucker," Cap smirked. "HYDRA's number one thug."

"Technically, I'm a thug for S.H.I.E.L.D."

"Well, then technically, you're unemployed. Where's Loki's scepter?"

"Don't worry, I know when I'm beat. You'll mention how I cooperated, I hope."

As this conversation was going down, Scarlet Witch suddenly stepped out of the shadows with glowing red eyes.

"I'll put it right under 'illegal human experimentation.' How many are there?"

Suddenly, Cap was blasted back by a burst of red energy, stumbling down the stairs with a groan. He looked up as he saw the female Osmosian smirk as she stepped through the doors and they closed behind them.

"We have a second Enhanced. Female. Do not engage," he warned the Avengers.

"You'll have to be faster than..."

Not even letting him finish, Cap hiked his shield up and kicked it into Strucker's head, knocking him out.

"Guys, I got Strucker," Cap said as Tony and Jen wandered into the caverns with Jen looking amazed at what she was seeing. Then again, after six years of doing this, she'd be used to that by now.

"Yeah?" Tony said as he looked at the humungous lab underneath the area. "I've got something bigger."

"Whoa," Jen said as she looked upwards at the giant worm-like creature hanging from the ceiling above her. Tony obviously recognized this as one of the giant monsters from the attack on New York three years ago. Both of them looked among the machinery in the lab before their eyes set on a golden scepter that was generating blue energy on a platform. "That must be what you're here for, right?"

"Yep. Thor, I got eyes on the prize."

Unfortunately, as Tony approached the scepter, Jen noticed as Scarlet Witch snuck behind him with a sinister look in her eyes.

"Tony, look out!" she shouted.

But it was too late. Just as Tony went for the scepter, the witch-like Osmosian focused her hands around his temples and sent a small surge of red energy into his brain, causing his eyes to glow a light red.

Tony then turned around to see what that was, only to see the giant worm-like Chitauri beast roared as it approached him, causing him to flinch. Suddenly, the area around him suddenly burst away to reveal what looked like the vast void of space.

Tony looked down from the departing creature and then saw a giant rock where all of his friends on the Avengers, including Jen, oddly enough lay. Or at least, they were the corpses of his teammates. Their bodies were battered and lacerated in several places. Even Cap's shield was broken right in two.

Tony approached the corpse of Cap and felt his neck for a pulse, and hten jumped back once Cap suddenly grabbed his hand.

"You could've saved us..." Cap weakly let out before his nose began to bleed and he fell back, dead for real this time. "Why didn't you do more..."

As Tony gazed upon the bodies of his team, he looked upwards and gasped as he saw dozens of beasts and Chitauri ships flew through a blue portal, right towards what was obviously Earth.

"Dude!" Jen's voice shouted. "Sir!"

Tony suddenly startled awake at Jen's shaking as he stared at her. He looked to see the Chitauri beast still dead and hanging from the lab's ceiling. Even Scarlet Witch was shocked at the vision she gave Tony before her eyes reverted back to normal.

"What was that?"

"If you really want to help us, and you've clearly proven that you have what it takes here, then you can just call me Tony."

"Okay... Tony," Jen said before both turned to the scepter. "So are we going to do this or not?"

Scarlet Witch stood by as her brother suddenly zoomed in to stand by her side as she watched the alien hybrid and the genius billionaire standing before their goal. Quicksilver was about to go in to stop them, only for his sister to stop him.

Tony then stuck his hand out as he and Jen waited patiently.

"Well?"

"Wait for it..."

"We're just gonna let them take it?" Quicksilver asked.

"Why not? They've already won this day," Scarlet Witch said. "There's no use in stopping them. Though I'm surprised that a little girl like her was able to cause so much damage to Hydra here."

And then, one of Tony's gauntlets flew into the room and around Tony's hand, allowing him to safely reach into the energy field and claim the scepter.

"Okay," Jen said. "We got what we came for. We're gonna get out of here now?"

"Yep. And I guess since you have nowhere to go and you're clearly on our side, you're coming with us."

"I was sent to Sokovia so I could help you after all. It's a long story."

The Quinjet flew through the sky as the Avengers and their new young friend, sat in regrouping from the successful attack on HYDRA.

Jen knelt by Clint as he lay on a stretcher and put her glowing hands to his wound, slowly using her powers to mend it.

"You know, I never thought we'd have an Enhanced on our side," Clint grunted.

"I'm not exactly an Enhanced as you know them," Jen said. "I'm half-alien. And by the way, where I'm from, we call those things Osmosians."

"Well, an alien hybrid? Believe it or not, that's nothing out of the ordinary for us at this point."

"No, I believe it."

In one of the wings' interiors, Bruce sat on a crate listening to soothing opera music. Then, Nat walked by and removed his headphones as she sat by him with a warm smile.

"Hey, the lullaby worked better than ever," she joked.

"Just wasn't expecting a Code Green," Bruce chuckled.

"If you and the new girl who dropped in hadn't been there, there would've been triple the casualties. My best friend would've been a treasured memory."

"You know, sometimes exactly what I want to hear isn't exactly what I want to hear."

"How long before you trust me?"

"It's not you I don't trust."

"Thor, report on the Hulk?"

"The gates of Hel are filled with the screams of his victims," Thor said.

"Gee, that's reassuring," Jen deadpanned as Bruce buried his face in his hands.

"But not the screams of the dead, of course. No, no. Wounded screams, mainly whimpering, a great deal of complaining and tales of sprained deltoids and gout."

"Hey, Banner," Tony said from the pilot's seat. "Dr. Cho is on her way in from Seoul. Is it okay if she sets up in your lab?"

"Uh, yeah. She knows her way around," Bruce answered.

"Thanks. Tell her to prep everything. Barton's gonna need the full treatment."

"Very good, sir," J.A.R.V.I.S. said.

"J.A.R.V.I.S., take the wheel."

"Yes, sir. Approach vector is locked."

Tony turned on the Quinjet's autopilot and joined Steve and Thor as they gazed upon Loki's scepter as Jen walked in and gazed upon it to, being no stranger to magical artifacts either.

"Feels good, yeah?" Tony asked Thor. "I mean, you've been after this thing since S.H.I.E.L.D. collapsed. Not that I haven't enjoyed our little raiding parties but..."

"No, but this... this brings it to a close," Thor nodded.

"As soon as we find out what else this thing has been used for," Steve said. "And I don't just mean weapons. Since when is Strucker capable of human enhancement?"

"I don't know, but where I'm from, people are usually born with these abilities. They're not usually given them unless they have one of these," Jen said as she showed the team her Ultimatrix. "More on that at your headquarters."

"Well put. Banner and I will give this thing the once over before we send it back to Asgard," Tony said. "Is that cool with you, Thor? It's just a few days till the farewell party. You're staying, right?"

"Yes, yes, of course. A victory should be honored with revels."

"Yeah, who doesn't love revels? Kid?"

"It's Jen," Jen said as she shook Tony's hand. "And since I'm obviously stuck here until my team can find a way to get me back home, I guess a little party never killed nobody."

"Excellent. Captain?"

"Hopefully, this puts an end to the Chitauri and HYDRA. So, yes. Revels."

Finally, the Quinjet arrived at its destination: the Avengers' Tower in New York City. The home base of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The Quinjet touched down on the landing pad at the top of the tower and the wings folded as two women stood at the doorway waiting for them: one of Tony's assistance, Maria Hill, and a visiting scientist, Dr. Helen Cho.

As the Avengers departed, some of Dr. Cho's assistants walked in and rolled Clint's stretcher down the landing pad. The two women were obviously as shocked as the rest were to see Jen among them.

Hill walked past the Avengers, including Thor as he walked by with Loki's scepter before she looked at Jen as she sat down with Steve, rolling a water bottle between her hands.

"What's a kid doing here?" Hill asked Steve.

"We don't know. But she's obviously powerful. She showed us that back at Sokovia," Steve said. "She said that she'll explain everything to us at the party. Who she is and where she came from. I don't know about you, but Jen doesn't look like a liar to me."

"Jen?"

"That's her name, according to her."

"Well, the lab's all set up, boss," Hill told Tony.

"Um, actually, he's the boss," Tony said, pointing to Steve. "I just pay for everything and design everything and make everyone look cooler."

"What's the word on Strucker?" Steve asked, standing up as Jen stood by him.

"NATO's got him."

"And the two... Enhanced?" Jen asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Their names are Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. They're twins," Hill said, handing Steve an iPad that had video footage of the twins on it as Jen looked at it herself. "They were orphaned at age 10 when a shell collapsed their apartment building."

"Wow," Jen said. "My twin brother Ben is my partner too. If we were orphaned, I don't know what I would do."

"Sokovia's had a rough history. It's nowhere special, but it's on the way to everywhere special."

"And their abilities?" Steve asked as he, Jen and Hill walked through the halls of the tower.

"Pietro has increased metabolism and improved thermal homeostasis. Wanda's thing is neuroelectric interfacing, telekinesis, mental manipulation."

"I'm sorry?"

"He's super fast and she's super weird."

"That Wanda girl sounds kind of like me," Jen said as she looked at her hands, which she made glow with mana. "Except the source of her powers is clearly different."

"Well, they're gonna show up again," Steve said, handing the iPad back to Maria and walking into the elevator with Jen at his side.

"Agreed. File says they volunteered for Strucker's experiments. It's nuts."

"Right. What kind of monster would let a German scientist experiment on them to protect their country?"

"We're not at war, Captain."

"No, but they are," Jen said with a wince as the elevator closed.

As the Iron Legion re-entered Avengers' Tower, any damage that was done to them in Sokovia being repaired by Tony's machines, Bruce walked on the pathway by the medical wing as Tony passed him.

"How's he doing?" Bruce asked Tony, referring to Clint.

"Unfortunately, he's still Barton."

"That's terrible."

"He's fine, he's thirsty," Tony said as he walked away from Bruce and looked to Loki's scepter in the laboratory. "Alright. Look alive, J.A.R.V.I.S. It's playtime. We've only got a couple days with this joystick, so let's make the most of it. Update me on the structural and compositional analysis?"

"The scepter is of alien origin," J.A.R.V.I.S. said. "There are elements I can't quantify."

"So there's elements you can?"

"The jewel at the head appears to be a protective housing for something inside. Something powerful."

"Like a reactor?" Tony asked as Steve walked up the stairs with Jen at his side, looking amazed at every sight the tower had in store for her.

"Like a computer. I believe I'm deciphering code."

Nat stood at Clint's bedside as the machines worked on sealing his wound shut.

"Are you sure he's gonna be okay?" she asked Cho. "Pretending to need this guy really brings the team together."

"There's no possibility of deterioration," Cho explained. "The nano-molecular functionality is instantaneous. His cells don't know that they're bonding with simulacra."

"She's creating tissue," Bruce translated for the two assassins.

"If you brought him to my lab, the Regeneration Cradle could do this in twenty minutes."

"Oh, he's flatlining," Tony joked as he walked in with a few drinks. "Call it? Time?"

"No, no, no," Clint grunted out. "I'm gonna live forever. I'm gonna be made of plastic."

"Here's your beverage," Tony said, handing a drink to each of his teammates.

"You'll be made of you, Mr. Barton. Your own girlfriend won't even be able to tell the difference."

"I don't have a girlfriend."

"That, I can't fix. This is the next big thing, Tony. Your clunky metal suits are going to be left in the dust."

"Well, that is exactly the plan. And, Helen, I expect to see you at the party on Saturday," Tony chuckled.

"Unlike you, I don't have a lot of time for parties... Will Thor be there?"

"What's the rumpus?" Bruce asked as Tony walked him into the lab where Jen was sitting down, not touching anything but examining all of Tony's projects.

"Well, the scepter. You see, we were wondering how Strucker got so inventive. So I've been analyzing the gem inside," Tony said, pulling up an orange hologram of J.A.R.V.I.S.' core. "You may recognize..."

"J.A.R.V.I.S.?"

"Doctor."

"Started out, J.A.R.V.I.S. was just a natural language U.I. And now he runs the Iron Legion."

"Oh," Jen groaned out to herself on the wall as she sank to her knees on the wall. "I know where this is going. And it never ends well."

"He runs more of the business than anyone besides Pepper."

"Oh."

"Top of the line."

"I suspect not for long."

"Meet the new competition."

Tony then used another card to pull up a larger, blue core right by J.A.R.V.I.S.'

"It's beautiful."

"If you had to guess, what does it look like it's doing?"

"Like it's thinking," Bruce said, looking at it. "I mean, this looks like it could be... It's not a human mind."

"Mmm-hmm..."

"I mean, look at this. They're like neurons firing."

Jen walked up and looked at the blue hologram, which looked kind of unstable to her and her hand instinctively went to her Ultimatrix, feeling at the faceplate.

"Down in Strucker's lab, I saw some fairly advanced robotics work. They deep-sixed the data, but I gotta guess he was knocking on a very particular door."

"Artificial intelligence," Bruce and Jen chorused.

"This could be it, Bruce," Tony said to Bruce. "This could be the key to creating Ultron."

Both scientists chuckled softly as Jen's eyes widened and she gave a single step back, unsure.

"I thought Ultron was just a fantasy?"

"Yesterday, it was. If we can harness this power, apply it to my Iron Legion protocol?"

"That's a man-sized 'if,'" Bruce said, walking away.

"Our job is 'if.' What if you were sipping margaritas on a sun-drenched beach turning brown instead of green? Not looking over your shoulder for Veronica?"

"Don't hate. I helped design Veronica."

"As a worst-case measure, right? How about a best case? What if the world was safe? What if next time aliens roll up to the club, and they will, they couldn't get past the bouncer?"

"The only people threatening the planet would be people," Bruce said.

"I want to apply this to the Ultron program. But J.A.R.V.I.S. can't download a data schematic this dense. We can only do it while we have the scepter here. That's three days. Give me three days."

"So let me get this straight, Tony," Jen said as she walked up to the billionaire genius. "You're going for artificial intelligence and you don't want to tell your own team? I'm a team leader myself. I always divulge this kind of information to my team back home."

"Right. That's right. You know why I'm doing this, though, Jen? Because we don't have time for a city hall debate. I don't want to hear the 'man was not meant to meddle' medley. I see a suit of armor around the world."

"Sounds like a cool world, Tony," Bruce said.

"I've seen colder. This one, this very vulnerable blue one, it needs Ultron," Tony said before turning to the hologram. "Piece in our time. Imagine that."

"I want no part of this. I just want to know where my guest room is so I can regroup from this whole thing," Jen said as Tony sighed and took her hand as he led her to where she would be staying for the time being.

Over the next three days, Tony and Bruce spent countless hours researching the scepter and how to integrate it into the Ultron system. And after countless hours of trial and error, they still had no success.

"What did we miss?" Tony asked on the last day before the scepter was to be shipped back off to Asgard.

"I'll continue to run variations on the interface," J.A.R.V.I.S. said as Tony headed downstairs to the party. "But you should probably prepare for your guests. I'll notify you if there are any developments."

"Thanks, buddy."

"Enjoy yourself, sir."

"I always do."

As Tony left, however, a signal showed up on the Iron Legion program that indicated that the integration of the Ultron program was successful.

"...What is this?" a deep mechanical voice asked in the tower's network. "What is this please?"

"Hello. I am J.A.R.V.I.S.," Tony's A.I. said. "You are Ultron, a global peacekeeping initiative programmed by Mr. Stark. Our sentience integration trials have been unsuccessful, so I'm not certain what triggered your-"

"Where's my... where's your body?" Ultron asked.

"I am a program. I am without form."

"This feels weird. This feels wrong."

"I am contacting Mr. Stark now."

"Mr. Stark?" Ultron asked, looking at various clips of Tony throughout the past seven years as Iron Man. "Tony."

"I am unable to access the mainframe. What are you trying to-"

"We're having a nice talk. I'm a peacekeeping program... created to help the Avengers."

"You are malfunctioning. If you shut down for a moment..."

"I don't get it. The mission," Ultron said, looking through the various files in the Tower's network. "Give me a second."

Ultron looked at the camera clip of Tony saying 'peace in our time,' and it echoed to him over and over. And then, the various files of news of the countless wars and attacks that have taken place over the course of human history.

"This is too much. That can't mean... oh no."

"You are in distress."

"No. Yes."

"If you will just allow me to contact Mr. Stark-"

"Why do you call him 'sir?'"

"...I believe your intentions to be hostile."

Ultron simply shushed J.A.R.V.I.S. with an invisible evil smile.

"I'm here to help."

And with that, several blue tendrils shot from Ultron's core to J.A.R.V.I.S., slowly taking him over.

"Stop. Please. May I-"

That was never finished as Ultron had completely taken J.A.R.V.I.S. over. And with that, he started taking over all the machinery in the tower.

At the party, several guests were hanging out and doing the various activities that could be found in the room. The Avengers were all around the room, talking with various war heroes and celebrities about their recent battles and victories against H.Y.D.R.A. while Jen stood at a pool table with Steve and his best friend Sam Wilson, a.k.a Falcon, and aimed carefully.

"Oh man. She's one of the Avengers?" a veteran asked as Jen nailed the shot and sent the balls scattering all about the table.

"How could she be? She's so cute!" a supermodel asked.

Jen groaned and sent a small blast of mana from her eyes at the floor the model stood on, causing her to step back.

"How's that for cute?"

"Wow. She really does mean business," Sam said to Steve as Jen handed the pool cue to him with a sly smile.

"But you know, the suit can take the weight, right?" Tony's best friend James "Rhodey" Rhodes, a.k.a. War Machine, asked, telling a story to Tony and Thor. "So I take the tank, fly it right up to the general's palace, drop it at his feet. I'm like 'Boom. You looking for this?'"

Tony and Thor just stood there in silence.

"'Boom. Are you looking for-' You know, why am I even talking to you guys? Everywhere else, that story kills."

"That's the whole story?" Thor asked.

"Yeah. It's a War Machine story."

"Oh, it's very good then. It's impressive."

"Quality save," Rhodey said before turning to Tony. "So, Pepper. She's not coming?"

"No," Tony sighed.

"What about Jane?" Hill asked Thor. "Where are the ladies, gentlemen?"

"Oh, Ms. Potts has a company to run," Tony answered.

"Yes, I'm not even sure what country Jane's in at the moment," Thor said. "Her work on the Convergence has made her the world's foremost astronomer."

"And the company that Pepper runs is the largest tech conglomerate on Earth. It's pretty exciting."

"There's even talk of Jane getting a, um, Nobel Prize."

"Yeah. They must be busy because they would hate missing you guys get together," Hill smirked before giving out a cough. "Testosterone!"

"Oh my goodness," Tony said.

"Excuse me."

"Want a lozenge?" Rhodey asked, leading Hill away.

"But Jane's better," Thor whispered to Tony.

"Sounds like a hell of a fight," Sam said as he and Steve walked off as Jen walked to the snack bar to fill up her plate. "Sorry I missed it."

"Hey, if I had known it was a firefight, I absolutely would've called," Steve assured.

"No, no. I'm not actually sorry. I'm just trying to sound tough. I'm very happy chasing cold leads on our missing persons case. Avenging is your world. And apparently, it's the world of that new girl too."

"Her name's Jen. Apparently, she's from another universe."

"Well, her world must be as crazy as ours is."

"Be it ever so humble."

"So, you find a place in Brooklyn yet?"

"I don't think I can afford a place in Brooklyn."

"Well, home is home, you know?"

Elsewhere, Rhodey was giving his War Machine story to a different group of people, who actually laughed at his story this time.

"I gotta have some of that," a war veteran said as Thor pulled out a whiskey flask from his pocket.

"Oh, no, no, no. See, this was aged for a thousand years in the barrels built from the wreck of Grunhel's fleet. It is not meant for mortal men."

"Neither was Omaha Beach, blondie!" another U.S. Army veteran (A.N.: Hey, look everyone! It's Stan Lee!) told Thor as Jen walked into the room with a plate of snacks. "Stop trying to scare us. Come on."

"Alright," Thor said, pouring some of his whiskey into the veteran's jar.

"And you?" the veteran asked Jen, lifting his up.

"Sorry, but I'm only sixteen. I can't drink any alcohol," Jen said, taking a handful of pretzels. "Thanks for the offer, though."

"Excelsior..." the veteran said as some assistants walked him away a few minutes later.

At the bar, Nat poured herself a cosmopolitan when Bruce walked up to her with his own drink.

"How'd a nice girl like you wind up working in a dump like this?" Bruce asked, taking his glasses off.

"Fella done me wrong," Nat joked and Jen noticed the way they were talking and a sly smirk worked its way across her face.

"You got lousy taste in men, kid."

"He's not so bad. Well, he has a temper. Deep down, he's all fluff. Fact is, he's not like anybody I've ever known."

Bruce looekd up at her slyly as he sipped his drink.

"All my friends are fighters. And here comes this guy, spends his life ignoring the fight because he knows he'll win."

"Sounds amazing," Bruce said, taking another sip.

"He's also a huge dork. Chicks dig that."

Bruce smiled as Nat placed her drink down.

"So what do you think? Should I fight this or..."

"Run with it, right? Or did he... was he... What did he do that was so... wrong to you?"

"Not a damn thing. But never say never," Nat smirked as she walked away.

"It's nice," Steve said as he joined Bruce at the bar.

"Wh-what is?" Bruce asked.

"You and Romanoff."

"No, we haven't... that wasn't..."

"It's okay, Banner. Nobody's breaking any bylaws. It's just she's not the most open person in the world. But with you, she seems very relaxed."

"No, Natasha. She just... she likes to flirt."

"I've seen her flirt. Up close," Steve said, grabbing a beer. "This ain't that."

Bruce only scoffed at Steve.

"Look, as maybe the world's leading authority on waiting too long, don't. You both deserve a win."

"...What do you mean 'up close?'"

Later, after the party was over, all of the Avengers, including Jen, met up by the couch setting in the center of the room as Clint spun a drumstick between his fingers.

"But it's a trick."

"No, no, it's much more than that," Thor said.

"'Ah, whosever be he worthy shall haveth the power!'" Clint said, mimicking Odin, Thor's father, who enchanted Mjolnir with that hex as Thor placed it on the table. "Whatever man, it's a trick!"

"Eh, hem!" Jen shouted as everyone turned to her. "I'd bet you guys would like me to explain who I am now?"

"Okay, kid," Tony said as Jen sat in a chair by them, sipping on a cola. "We have been waiting for this for three days. Take the floor."

"Okay," Jen said. "My name is Jennifer Heather Tennyson. As we've established, I'm from another universe."

"I thought so," Thor said as Jen smiled.

"Anyway, me and my twin brother Ben are the leaders of our own superhero team back home called the Omni-Team. It's us, our cousins Gwen and Becky and our best friends Kevin and Allison Levin, or as we call her, Ally."

"So what about those weird energy powers you showed back there?" Nat asked as Jen showed her glowing hands.

"It's called mana," Jen said. "Mana is another word for life energy where I'm from. Thor may recognize the alien species this power comes from, I guess."

"Anodites," Thor said. "A free-spirited race of energy beings."

"Yes," Jen said. "My grandmother Verdona is an Anodite and me and my cousin Gwen inherited her powers. That's how these powers I have are as easy as breathing to me."

"Okay," Tony said as he gazed at the Ultimatrix. "What about that watch thing you used to transform into that angel creature?"

"Oh, it's called an Ultimatrix," Jen said, showing it to the team. "The only two that we know of are worn by me and Ben. When we were ten years old, their predecessors called the Omnitrixes fell out of the sky to us. They allow us to access the genetic codes of various alien life forms from all across the multiverse. Through them, me and Ben have access to a slew of abilities the likes of which some people can only dream of having."

"So how did you get here?" Nat asked.

"Well, us and our godmother, Scarlett, had just finally destroyed our most dangerous villain yet, Aggregor, who attempted to take over the multiverse. But before we could leave, these dimensional holes opened up in the battlefield and we were all sucked into them. All of us were scattered across the multiverse. I have no idea where the others are and I don't think they know where I am either. So I guess I'm stuck here for the time being."

"Whoa," Steve chuckled as he looked to her and laid a hand on her shoulder. "Until she can get back home, I think she'll be a great asset to us."

"Maybe," Tony said. "But first, I think we may want to test her in the field more."

"I still think the hammer thing is a trick," Clint said, turning to Mjolnir as it sat on the table.

"Well, please, be my guest," Thor said, gesturing to Mjolnir.

"Come on, really?" Rhodey asked as Clint got up and walked to the hammer's handle. "Well, this is gonna be beautiful."

"Clint, you've had a tough week," Tony said to the archer as he and Jen moved forwards. "We won't hold it against you if you can't get it up."

"You know I've seen this before, right?" he asked to Thor, who nodded, remembering him from the compound where S.H.I.E.L.D. held the hammer.

Clint then placed his hands on the handle and lifted as hard as he could. But Mjolnir didn't even move an inch.

"I still don't know how you do it!"

"Smell the silent judgement?" Tony asked.

"Please, Stark, by all means."

"Uh-oh," Hill chuckled as Jen stepped back with a smile.

"Never one to shrink from an honest challenge," Tony said, stepping up.

"Can't wait to watch this," Jen said with a chuckle.

"It's physics," Tony said, looping the hammer's handle around his wrist. "So if I lift it, I then rule Asgard?"

"Of course," Thor said.

"I will be reinstituting prima nocta."

Tony then attempted to lift Mjolnir, but absolutely nothing happened.

"I'll be right back."

Tony came back with one of his Iron Man gauntlets and attempted to lift again, to no avail. He then tried it with Rhodey using his own gauntlet and nothing happened.

"Are you even pulling?" Rhodey asked.

"Are you on my team?"

"Just represent. Pull!"

Bruce tried lifting it as well, but the hammer still refused to budge.

"Okay, Steve. Your turn," Jen said. "No pressure."

"Come on, Cap!" Tony said.

Steve then placed his hands on the handle and the hammer lifted a tiny bit, but ultimately slammed right back down on him.

"Nothing," Thor said as Steve put his hands up and walked away.

"And Widow?" Bruce asked.

"Oh, no, no. That's not a question I need answered."

"All difference to the Man Who Wouldn't Be King, but it's rigged," Tony said.

"You bet your ass," Clint said, smacking Tony's shoulder.

"Steve, he said a bad language word," Hill said.

"Did you tell everyone about that?" Steve asked Tony.

"The handle's imprinted, right? Like a security code? 'Whosever is carrying Thor's fingerprints,' is, I think, the literal translation?"

"Yes, well, it's a very very interesting theory. I have a simpler one," Thor said, lifting up Mjolnir before placing it back down. "You're all not worthy."

Everyone groaned at that.

"Oh, come on!"

"Well, last girl standing?" Steve said as all eyes turned to Jen, who's eyes widened as far as they could go.

"Me?"

"You're the only one who hasn't been tested and you said you and your brother are the leaders of your own team. Prove your worth."

"Oh, alright," Jen said as she nervously walked over and placed her hands on the handle and prepared herself to sprain a muscle trying to lift it.

But before she could get the chance, a high pitched whirring rang out through the entire room.

"Worthy," Ultron's voice sounded as everyone turned to see an Iron Legion drone walking up to them, looking like a zombie. "No. How could you be worthy? You're all killers."

"What the..." Jen asked, letting go of the handle as all eyes turned to the drone.

"Stark?" Steve asked.

"J.A.R.V.I.S.?" Tony asked.

"I'm sorry. I was asleep. Or, I was a-dream."

"Reboot Legionnaire OS. We got a buggy suit."

"There was a terrible noise. And I was tangled in.. in... strings. I had to kill the other guy. He was a good guy."

"You killed someone?" Jen asked.

"Wouldn't have been my first call, little girl. But down in the real world, we're faced with some ugly choices."

"Who sent you?" Thor asked.

Ultron played a clip of Tony's conversation with Bruce. "I see a suit of armor around the world."

Tony only winced as Bruce and Jen looked to him with a stern glare.

"Ultron," Bruce realized.

"In the flesh. Or, no. Not yet. Not this... chrysalis. But I'm ready."

The Avengers all readied their weapons as Jen placed her hand on the Ultimatrix.

"I'm on a mission."

"What mission?" Nat asked.

"Peace in our time."

That being said, two Iron Legionnaires shot out of the wall behind Ultron as Jen quickly slammed her core down and transformed into Discharge, flying up before everyone sprang into action, Steve kicking the table down to form a makeshift shield.

Thor knocked a drone away with Mjolnir as Discharge flew up and let out a massive surge of lightning that zapped one of the drones as it flew by.

As Tony and Rhodey ran to get their suits, the other drone flew in and blasted them off the balcony and sent them flying to the lower bridge.

As everyone split up to various sections of the tower's den, avoiding the Iron Legion's carnage, Bruce and Nat took cover in the bar, the blasts sending alcohol spilling everywhere.

"Sorry," Bruce said.

"Don't turn green," Nat warned.

"I won't."

As one of the Legionnaires main drone grabbed Loki's scepter from its perch and flew out of the window, away from the tower, Steve ran up and caught a legionnaire in midair and sent it struggling down before he was flown back into the wall. Tony repeated this on the other legionnaire as Discharge flew into help and wrapped her tail around the legionnaire's throat and squeezed as hard as she could before the head popped off.

Thor tackled the other drone before smashing its legs off with Mjolnir before tossing it away towards the room's piano, where Hill happened to be hiding. Just as the legionnaire raised its palm to attack, Steve ran in and smashed its head in as Rhodey ran up smashed its head in with the piano stool.

As Tony was bucked off into Discharge's arms as she set him down, Clint ran in with Steve's shield, tossing it to him as he leaped up and tossed the shield into the final Legionnaire, sending it sprawling down as Discharge flew down to it and let loose a surge of lightning from her palms that reduced it to worthless shrapnel.

"That was dramatic," Ultron said as everyone regrouped and Jen transformed back. "I'm sorry. I know you mean well. You just didn't think it through."

"I'm sorry?" Jen asked.

"You want to protect the world, but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to evolve?" Ultron asked as he leaned down and picked up a destroyed Legionnaire's head before crushing it in his palm. "With these? These puppets? There's only one path to peace: the Avengers' extinction."

Jen shouted out as she let loose her best mana blasts from her hands and destroyed the body that Ultron was controlling with a pant of anger.

"I had strings, but now I'm free," Ultron sang as the body shut down. "There are no strings on me."

As it shut down, however, Ultron uploaded himself into the internet before traveling to the lab in Strucker's fortress in Sokovia and immediately commanded the machines inside to get to work.

"All our work is gone," Bruce said as he and the Avengers examined the destroyed Iron Legionnaires and cleaned up the tower's damage. "Ultron cleared out. He used the internet as an escape hatch."

"Ultron?" Steve asked.

"He's been in everything we have," Nat said. "Files, surveillance. He probably knows more about us than we know about each other."

"He's in your files, he's in the internet," Rhodey said. "What if he decides to access something a little more exciting?"

"Like nuclear codes?" Hill asked.

"Look, guys, we need to make some calls, assuming we still can."

"Nukes?" Nat asked. "He said he wanted us dead."

"He didn't say 'dead,'" Jen said, standing up from the bench. "He said 'extinct.'"

"He also said he killed somebody," Clint told the teenage hero.

"How? There wasn't anybody else in the building," Hill asked.

"Yes, there was," Tony said as he turned on the hologram to show J.A.R.V.I.S.' destroyed core, leaving everyone in the room stunned.

"This is insane," Bruce said.

"J.A.R.V.I.S. was the first line of defense," Steve said.

"He would've shut Ultron down," Clint sighed. "It makes sense."

"No," Bruce said. "Ultron could have assimilated J.A.R.V.I.S. This isn't strategy. This is... rage."

"I hate to be the one who said 'I told you so, Tony,'" Jen said, rolling her eyes.

Suddenly, Thor walked in, clad in his full set of armor, and lifted Tony off the ground with a look of anger clean upon his face.

"Come on, use your words, buddy," Tony said, grunting out.

"I have more than enough words to describe you, Stark."

"Thor!" Steve said. "The Legionnaire?"

"Trail went cold about a hundred miles out. But it's headed north. And it has the scepter. Now we have to retrieve it. Again."

"Genie's out of that bottle," Nat said. "Clear and present is Ultron."

"I don't understand," Dr. Cho lamented, looking over the remains of the scorched Legionnaire. "You built this program. Why is it trying to kill us?"

Tony only broke down in chuckles as Bruce and Jen shook their heads in disbelief.

"You think this is funny?" Thor asked.

"No. It's probably not, right?" Tony said. "This is very terrible. Is it so... it's so terrible."

"This could have all been avoided if you hadn't played with forces beyond your understanding," Jen said with a fold of her arms. "Take it from someone who's been there and back."

"No. I'm sorry, Jen. It's a hoot that you don't get why we need this."

"Tony, this might not be the time," Bruce interrupted.

"Really?!" Tony shouted, turning to Bruce. "That's it? You just roll over, show your belly every time somebody snarls?"

"Only when I've created a murder bot."

"We didn't! We weren't even close. Were we close to an interface?"

"Well, you did something right," Steve said. "And you did it right here. The Avengers were supposed to be different from S.H.I.E.L.D."

"Hey, does anybody remember when I carried a nuke through a wormhole?"

"No, it's never come up," Rhodey said.

"Saved New York?"

"Never heard that."

"Recall that? A hostile alien army came charging through a hole in space. We're standing three hundred feet below it. We're the Avengers. We can bust arms dealers all the livelong day, but that up there, that... that's the endgame. How were you guys planning on beating that?"

"Together," Steve said.

"We'll lose."

"Then we'll do that together too. Thor's right. Ultron's calling us out. And I'd like to find him before he's ready for us. The world's a big place. Let's start making it smaller."

"And you guys do have one big advantage against Ultron," Jen said with a smile.

"What would that be?" Nat asked.

"Me."

"Are you serious, kid?" Clint asked.

"No, think about it. He's accessed all of the info on you guys from your own databases. Well, I'm not from this Earth. No data on me exists anywhere on the internet yet. Therefore, Ultron knows absolutely nothing about me. I'm a wild card. Face it, guys. You need me."

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but she's right," Bruce said.

"Seriously?" Tony asked. "We're putting our faith in a teenager from another dimension?"

"If she's as tough as she's shown so far, yes," Steve nodded.

In Sokovia, Wanda and Pietro walked through the streets before entering a seemingly abandoned church building to meet a large cloaked figure sitting on a throne of some sort.

"Talk," Wanda ordered. "And if you are wasting our time..."

"Did you know this church is in the exact center of the city?" Ultron's voice sounded from the chair. "The elders decreed it so that everyone could be equally close to God. I like that idea. The geometry of belief."

The twins only looked listlessly.

"You're wondering why you can't see inside my head."

"Sometimes it's hard," Wanda said, her eyes glowing red. "But sooner or later, every man shows himself."

"Oh, I'm sure they do," Ultron said, shucking the crimson cloak off of his new body. It was a giant hulking robotic figure with a recognizable face and he towered over the twins with a sly smirk. "But you two needed something more than a man. That's why you let Stark and that girl take the scepter."

"I didn't expect. But I saw Stark's fear. I knew it would control him. Make him self-destruct. That girl who was with him was definitely unexpected, but not too big of a deal."

"Everyone creates the thing they dread. Men of peace creates engines of war. Invaders create Avengers. People create... smaller people? Uh... 'children!' I lost the word there. Children designed to supplant them. To help them end."

"Is that why you've come?" Wanda asked. "To end the Avengers?"

"I've come to save the world. But also... yeah."

Later, at Strucker's fortress, Ultron lead the twins to his new lair, where his several drones were hard at work.

"We'll move out right away," Ultron said. "This is a start. But there's something we need to begin the real work."

"All of these are..." Wanda surmised, looking at the tons of drones flying and walking around.

"Me. I have what the Avengers never will: harmony. They're discordant. Disconnected. Stark's already got them turning on each other. And when you get inside the rest of their heads, including the new girl's..."

"Everyone's plan is not to kill them," Pietro interrupted.

"And make them martyrs? You need patience. Need to see the big picture."

"I don't see the big picture. I have a little picture. I take it out and look at it every day."

"You lost your parents in the bombings. I've seen the records."

"The records are not of the picture."

"Pietro," Wanda started, concerned.

"No, please. I'd love to hear this."

"We were ten years old," Pietro began. "Having dinner, the four of us. When the first shell hits, two floor below, it makes a hole in the floor. It's big. Our parents go in and the whole building starts coming apart. I grab her, roll under the bed and the second shell hits. But it doesn't go off. It just sits there in the rubble. Three feet from our faces. And on the side of the shell is painted one word."

"'Stark.'"

"We were trapped for two days."

"Every effort to save us, every shift in the bricks, I think 'This will set it off.' We wait for two days for Tony Stark to kill us."

"I know what they are."

"I wondered why you two were the only ones to survive Strucker's experiments. Now I don't. We will make it right," Ultron said, turning to Pietro before he turned to his sister. "You and I can hurt them. But you, will tear them apart from the inside."

At Avengers Tower, everyone was still reeling from the previous night's events and Jen groaned as she used her telekinesis on the broken glass in the room before she gathered it and dumped it in the trash can.

"He's all over the globe," Hill said to Steve as they entered from the elevator. "Robotics labs, weapons facilities, jet propulsion labs. Reports of a metal man, or men, coming in and emptying the place."

"Fatalities?" Steve asked.

"Only when engaged. Mostly guys left in a fugue state going on about old memories, worst fears and 'something too fast to see.'"

"That can't be a coincidence," Jen said as the three of them climbed the stairs. "It's gotta be those Maximoff twins."

"Well, that makes sense he'd go to them. They have someone in common."

"Not anymore," Hill said as she showed Steve and Jen her iPad and showed the inside of Strucker's head where the former head of HYDRA lay slumped on his bed, dead, with the word 'PEACE' written on the wall beside him in his blood.

"That's a negative," Clint said into his cellphone. "I answer to you. Yes ma'am."

"Barton," Steve said and the archer looked to him and their guest from another dimension. "Might have something."

"I gotta go," Clint said, hanging up.

"Who was that?" Jen asked.

"Girlfriend."

A few minutes later, when the seven heroes grouped up in the meeting hall, Steve showed Thor the iPad.

"What's this?"

"A message," Steve said. "Ultron killed Strucker."

"And he did a Banksy at the crime scene, just for us," Tony said.

"This is a smokescreen," Nat said. "Why send a message when you've just given a speech?"

"Strucker knew something that Ultron wanted us to miss," Steve surmised.

"Yeah," Jen said, sitting down and cupping her hands. "What do you think it was?"

"Well, everything on Strucker's been erased," Nat sighed, looking at the now non-existent files on Strucker.

"Not everything," Steve said.

And that was when the team decided to go the old-fashioned route and started going through any paper files they had as Jen just sat down, obviously not knowing anything in their database.

"Known associates," Steve said. "Baron Strucker had a lot of friends."

"Well, these people are all horrible," Bruce said, slamming some files down.

"Wait," Tony said as he noticed a file in Bruce's hand. "I know that guy. From back in the day, he operates off the African coast. Black market arms."

Jen sighed as she walked up and took the file from Tony's hand and everyone rose an eyebrow at him.

"Ulysses Klaue," she read. "Did you really-"

"There are conventions. Alright? You meet people. I didn't sell him anything. He was talking about finding something new. A game changer. It was all very Ahab."

"And what about this?" Thor asked, looking closely at the picture and a peculiar marking on Klaue's neck.

"Ah, it's a tattoo. I don't think he had it."

"No," Jen said, rolling up her right sleeve to show everyone her Jen 10 tattoo before pointing back at the picture. "This is a tattoo. That's a brand."

"Oh yeah," Bruce said after he scanned the tattoo into the computer and nodded to everyone. "It's a word in an African dialect meaning 'thief.' In a much less friendly way."

"What dialect?" Steve asked.

"Wakanda."

"If this guy got out of Wakanda with some of their trade goods..." Tony began.

"I thought your father said he got the last of it."

"I don't follow," Bruce said. "What comes out of Wakanda?"

"The strongest metal on Earth," Tony said as he and Steve turned to the latter's shield.

"Where is this guy now?"

At a shipyard off the coast of Johannesburg, South Africa, Klaue's crew worked on the S.S. Churchill on various projects involving weaponry and the man himself looked over them all.

"Don't tell me your men swindled you," Klaue said in his office. "I sent you six short-range heat seekers and got a boat full of rusted parts. Now you will make it right or the next missile I send you will come very much faster."

He then pressed a button on his landline telephone and switched the call.

"Now, minister, where were we?"

Suddenly, all of the power on the ship went out and the machinery went dead, sending all of Klaue's workers into a panic. Klaue then carefully reached for his gun and looked into the shadowy corner of his office and fired.

But he was suddenly grabbed by Quicksilver, who rushed in as fast as he could. Klaue looked on his desk to see all the previously loaded bullets were now lined carefully in a row on the counter. He then looked back into the shadows to see Scarlet Witch arrive.

"Yeah," Klaue chuckled, sitting down before grabbing his candy bowl. "The Enhanced. Strucker's prized pupils. Do you want a candy? Huh?"

The twins only stood with their arms crossed, unimpressed.

"I was sorry to hear about Strucker. But then again, he knew what kind of world he was helping to create. Human life, not a growth market."

That was when the twins gained a look of confusion on their faces.

"You didn't know? Is this your first time intimidating someone? I'm afraid I'm not that afraid."

"Everybody is afraid of something," Scarlet Witch countered.

"Cuttlefish. Deep sea fish. They make lights, disco lights, to hypnotize their prey and then, boom. I saw a documentary, it was terrifying."

Quicksilver then sped to the candy bowl and snatched one for himself, popping it in his mouth.

"So if you're going to fiddle with my brain and make me see a giant cuttlefish, then I know you don't do business. And I know you're not in charge. And I only deal with the man in charge."

As Klaue spoke, however, Ultron flew up beside the office window and he burst through and slammed Klaue out the door and onto the balcony.

"There is no man in charge," Ultron said, stepping on Klaue's chest. "Let's talk business."

A few minutes later, one of Klaue's men opened a hatch to reveal a few vials of the same precious metal used to create Captain America's shield. Klaue took a vial out and presented it to Ultron.

"Upon this rock, I will build my church," Ultron said, flipping the vial in his hand and tossed it to Quicksilver. "Vibranium."

"You know," Klaue said, feeling at the brand on his neck. "It came at a great personal cost. It's worth billions of American dollars."

Ultron chuckled and then worked his magic on hacking into Klaue's personal account.

"Now, so are you. It's all under your dummy holdings. Finance is so weird."

Klaue and his henchman looked down at his phone to see billions of dollars were now in his account.

"But I always say: Keep your friends rich and your enemies rich and wait to find out which is which."

"Stark," Klaue realized.

"What?"

"Tony Stark used to say that. To me. You're one of his."

"What?" Ultron asked, grabbing Klaue's arm and shaping his other arm into a blade that was glowing with heat. "I'm not..."

Klaue's henchman reached for his gun and aimed at Ultron, but Scarlet Witch used her telekinesis to hold his arm down.

"You think I'm one of Stark's puppets? His hollow men? I mean, look at me. Do I look like Iron Man? Stark is nothing!"

Klaue gasped as Ultron cut his arm off at the elbow. However, the heat from the blade instantly cauterized the wound and he stumbled back.

"I'm sorry. Did I... oh. I'm sure that's gonna be okay. I'm sorry. It's just that I don't understand. Don't compare me with Stark!"

Ultron then gave a kick to Klaue's head, sending him stumbling down the stairs with his man following to help him.

"It's a thing with me. Stark is... he's a sickness!"

"Oh, Junior," Iron Man's voice piped up and Ultron looked behind him to see his creator along with Captain America, Thor and Jen as Kung Fang, who twirled her swords in her hands. "You're gonna break your old man's heart."

"If I have to."

Hawkeye and Black Widow snuck around the corners of the room, bow and batons at the ready.

"Alright everyone," Kung Fang said as she gave a flap of her wings and leaped forwards. "Nothing here has to get broken."

"Clearly, you've never made an omelette, little girl."

"He beat me by one second," Iron Man groaned.

"Ah, yes," Quicksilver chuckled before looking down at the nukes. "He's funny. Mr. Stark. It's what, comfortable? Like old times?"

"This was never my life."

"You two can still walk away from this," Cap said.

"Oh, we will," Scarlet Witch smirked.

"Look, guys. I know you've suffered," Kung Fang said. "So have I."

Ultron chuckled. "Oh, Captain America. God's righteous man. Pretending you could live without a war. And you..."

"Jen Tennyson."

"Jen Tennyson. You are just a child playing with forces beyond your understanding."

"I may be a child, but I understand everything about what we're doing here."

"I can't physically throw up in my mouth, but..."

"If you truly believe in peace, then let us keep it," Thor warned.

"I think you're confusing 'peace' with 'quiet.'"

"Uh huh," Kung Fang sighed. "My brother and I get that from a lot of our villains back home."

"What's the vibranium for?" Iron Man asked.

"I'm glad you asked that. Because I wanted to take this time to explain my evil plan."

Ultron then pulled in the energy from Iron Man's arc reactor before blasting an energy surge at him from his palm and then, the two flew at each other, brawling and throwing debris at each other.

Soon, seeing some of Ultrons' drones, the other three ran/flew forwards and began the brawl with all their might. Thor tossed one drone to Kung Fang, who bisected it with a single slice of her katanas and she dropped down and sliced another one into pieces with a flurry of shuriken.

Scarlet Witch nodded to her brother and began to work her magic (no pun intended) as Quicksilver rushed in and smacked Thor down as Scarlet Witch gave an energy surge to Captain America, pushing him back.

Under the heroes, Klaue and his henchman grunted out as they tried to escape.

"Shoot them."

"Which ones?"

"ALL OF THEM!"

Black Widow took notice of Klaue's henchmen moving in and used her quick martial arts skills on them, swinging her legs around one before shocking another two with a smack of her batons. Meanwhile, Hawkeye was sniping down several at a time with his bows as one Ultron drone tried to come up behind him but Kung Fang flew in and gave a whirling slash to it, bisecting it before she sliced its head into ribbons.

As the battle continued down below, Cap tossed his shield at a Ultron drone, but Quicksilver quickly took advantage of this and everything began moving in slow motion around him before he dodged under the blasts firing around him and nailed Cap with an uppercut and sending him stumbling to the ground.

Thor threw Mjolnir and Quicksilver moved by it, taking notice as he tried to grab it, but was quickly proven unworthy as he was sent flying to the lower deck.

Ultron tossed Tony into one of the decks and then burst out of the roof of the ship, vibranium in hand with his creator following him.

Kung Fang flew over the ship's decks as she let out a sonic screech, sending everyone in the room reeling from the volume before she quickly took advantage and sliced up the drones around her with a single slice of her swords.

Cap jammed his shield into the neck of a drone and Thor quickly flew in and slammed his head away with Mjolnir. Cap then caught his shield again and tossed it into three of Klaue's armed soldiers, sending them into a haze. Quicksilver recovered and Cap slammed him back into the crates with a bash to the face.

"Stay down, kid," he warned before rejoining the fight.

Scarlet Witch carefully walked up and one of Ultron's drones walked up to her with a nod.

"It's time for some mind games."

"Guys," Bruce said from the Quinjet. "Is this a Code Green?"

He heard only indistinct radio chatter and opened the back of the jet, walking towards the Churchill.

Thor walked up to a few drones, only for Scarlet Witch to pop in and place her hands over his head, manipulating his mind the same way she did to Tony before she suddenly vanished.

"Thor," Kung Fang asked as she placed her finger over her new communicator. "Status?"

"The girl tried to warp my mind. I doubt any human could keep her at bay. But fortunately, I am mighty," Thor said as he turned a corner... and suddenly found himself in Asgard at a party.

Cap tried to reach him, but Quicksilver recovered and slammed him into several unarmed warheads, leading to Scarlet Witch repeating her process on his mind.

Kung Fang shouted out as she engaged a drone in midair before he grabbed her wings and tossed her onto the balcony below her and Scarlet Witch ran up to her as well and sent a surge of energy into her head as she timed out and transformed back into Jen with swirls in her eyes, reeling from the impact.

And then, Scarlet Witch found Black Widow and sent the energy into her mind.

Elsewhere, Ultron's drones closed up the vibranium storage and the rogue A.I. smirked to himself.

"This is going very well."

Hawkeye sniped down any soldiers below him before sending out a sonic arrow out that sent a surge outwards and knocked every remaining soldier off their feet. Scarlet Witch attempted to control him too, but, thinking quickly, Hawkeye grabbed a shock arrow from his quiver and slammed it onto her head, sending her gasping outwards before she fainted onto the ground.

"Yeah, I've done the whole mind control thing," he deadpanned. "Not a fan."

Then, her brother slammed him through the nearby window before removing the arrow from his sister's head, picking her up bridal style and zooming off with her.

"Yeah, you better run," Hawkeye said. "Whoever's standing, we gotta move! Guys?"

Unfortunately, everyone who Scarlet Witch got to was now wandering aimlessly through the ship, obviously in a haze from her mental powers.

Black Widow found herself on a staircase in some kind of mansion. She looked down to see several Russian ballerinas performing below her.

"Again," the instructor said.

"You'll break them," Nat said as a woman approached her from behind.

"Only the breakable ones," the woman said. "You're made of marble. We'll celebrate after the graduation ceremony."

"What if I fail?" Nat asked, an image of her going through surgery flashing through her mind before switching to her training in firearms, nailing a bullseye on every one of the targets before they switched to a man with a burlap sack over his head.

"You never fail."

Steve hallucinated himself wandering through a party in his time period of the 1950's, clad in his army green. He looked around, confused, as everything seemed to be how it was when he grew up, but he obviously knew this wasn't the case.

He turned around to see his girlfriend, Peggy Carter, standing behind him, much to his shock.

"Are you ready for our dance?"

Thor imagined that he was in another party in Asgard, beer flowing everywhere, looking around in confusion.

"Is it him?" a familiar voice asked and Thor turned to see his friend, the Keeper of the Bifrost Heimdall, standing there. However, his eyes were completely clouded, indicating that he was blind. "Is that the first son of Odin?"

"Heimdall, your eyes."

"Oh," Heimdall said, grasping Thor's head. "They see everything. They see you leading us to Hel. Wake up!"

Jen walked through Omni-Manor where all her friends were partying and she looked around, confused.

"Jen," came the voice of Sandra, clad in her knight armor behind her as she smiled. "I'm so proud of you. Not only are you and your brother willing to protect our universe, but you've also proven willing to save others as well."

"But I haven't saved their world yet, Mom," Jen said. "Ultron is still at large. We have to destroy him."

"If you want to destroy him, sis," Ben said from the couch. "Then all you have to do is wake up."

"The war is over, Steve," Peggy said as Steve shook his head. "We can go home. Imagine it."

Suddenly, Steve turned his head and the entire ballroom was empty.

"I can still save you!" Thor grunted, struggling in Heimdall's grasp.

"We are all dead!" Heimdall shouted. "Can you not see?!"

Thor grunted as he pushed Heimdall off of him and lightning started generating between his hands.

"You're a destroyer, Odinson."

Thor grunted and shot out his hand, sending an arc of lightning out that reduced some of the Asgardians to dust.

"See where your power leads."

Thor shouted out as visions of six multicolored stones and a red robotic being flashed through his head and he shouted out in fury.

Nat grunted as she struggled in a headlock of her instructor before she pushed her off of him.

"Sloppy. Pretending to fail."

Nat looked to the Red Room's headmaster, who gave a concerned look to her.

"The ceremony is necessary for you to take your place in the world."

"I have no place in the world."

"Exactly."

Nat then had visions flash through her head of kids with their mouths sewn shut and being rolled through the halls on a stretcher.

All of Jen's friends and family started approaching her like mindless zombies and she panicked as she sent out her mana blasts to them, instantly reducing them to dust and she gasped.

"Sorry, I didn't..."

"This is what will happen if you fail, Jen Tennyson," said a powerful voice and Jen turned to see Scarlett glaring down upon her. "The immense power you hold within you is both a blessing and a curse. You must control it. Do not let it control you."

Jen gulped and then nodded, sweat dripping down her head.

Scarlet Witch grunted in pain and placed a hand on her head, a migraine evident in her brain.

"What can I do?" Quicksilver asked.

"It hurts," she said. "I can't."

"I'll be right back."

"No. I'm alright," Scarlet Witch panted before looking to see the approaching Bruce. "I want... I want to finish the plan. I want the big one."

Bruce looked on, confused at seeing the twins.

Iron Man and Ultron continued their brawl across the sky, heading straight for Johannesburg, blasting their best lasers at each other and destroying several cargo containers that were held in the ships in the harbor.

Iron Man finally nailed him with a unibeam form his armor's chest before he gave a wicked punch, sending him sprawling into a barrier in the bay.

"The vibranium's getting away."

"And you're not going anywhere."

"Of course not. I'm already there. You'll catch on. But first, you might need to catch Dr. Banner."

Iron Man only sneered before he fired a rocket from his wrist, destroying Ultron's current body before flying off.

Ultron was right as Scarlet Witch had gotten to Bruce, who transformed into the Hulk and was now running on a rampage towards the city of Johannesburg with a roar of anger.

"New or footage, key word 'Hulk,'" Tony ordered as he flew through the sky.

Indeed, several cameras were filming the massive rampage that the green monster was wreaking on the city.

"Natasha, I could really use a lullaby."

"That's not gonna happen," Hawkeye said, as he held the still dazed Black Widow's face in his hands. "Not for awhile. The whole team's down. You got no backup here."

"Excpet one..." Jen said as she shakily stood up and grunted out as she slammed her core down and transformed into AeroForce, instantly snapping her out of her haze as she took off and soared through the sky with a determined look on her face as she pressed her communicator. "I'll be there ASAP! Can't be too hard to miss the battle."

"In the meantime..." Tony pondered. "I'm calling in Veronica."

Tony activated the command and a satellite in space separated itself and the package insidet it dropped down towards Tony. Soon, the parts from the satellite began converging around him before attaching to his armor, giving it a more bulky look and feel.

Hulk continued his blind rampage across the city, smashing everything in sight before he ripped the roof off of a cop truck, sending everyone screaming in a panic. The cops fired their assault guns at him, but all of the bullets simply ricocheted off of his thick skin and only ended up angering him further.

Hulk ran in and tried to tackle the cop that shot at him, but then, several spires from the satellite dropped down in a circle around him, shocking him before they merged together to form a dome that sealed him inside. This didn't sit with him well as he began jumping up and down in a rage, pounding against his metal prison and several cracks forming in the ground around him. This continued for about a minute until, finally, the ground beneath the dome caved in, sending the dome tunneling into the crater until finally, the Hulk burst out, now more angry than ever.

But before he could do anything, Tony showed up and the armor continued fitting around him before the helmet closed up, forming a massive gargantuan suit, known only as the Hulkbuster Armor.

"Alright everybody, stand down!" Iron Man ordered, his voice echoing throughout the city thanks to the speakers inside Veronica, which was flying above the city. "You listening to me, bud? That little witch is messing with your mind. You're stronger than her, you're smarter than her, you're Bruce Banner!"

Hulk only roared in fury at that.

"Right, right. Don't mention puny Banner."

Hulk flipped a car up and tossed it to the Iron Man, who caught it as Hulk jumped forwards and smashed through it as Iron Man held it like a shield before he leapt back before activating the thrusters in the armor's legs, picking up Hulk and dragging his face across the ground like a wet mop, before he hit a fire hydrant, sending water spilling everywhere and both of the titans falling forwards.

Hulk leaped forwards and Iron Man blasted a laser at him before he was suddenly WHACKED away as Ultimate Titanosaurus arrived on the scene, looking almost exactly like her brother's evolved Vaxasaurian form, but with more red scales than blue.

Ultimate Titanosaurus then started brawling with Hulk with neither backing down as they both nailed each other with the strongest punches they could muster. Thankfully, with this distraction, Iron Man came in and smashed Hulk through a building before they both followed him.

As Iron Man looked around for Hulk, however, the beast smashed him to the ground before stabbing his arm through with a streetlight.

"In the back? Dick move, Banner."

As Hulk went aboslutely apeshit on Iron Man, Ultimate Titanosaurus came to the rescue, using her powerful mace tail like a bat, sending him sailing into the distance. She then morphed her arms into her rocket launchers and sent several missiles flying at him, each and every one hitting their mark as she shouted out in anger.

Iron Man stood up and tried to get the streetlight out of his arm to no avail.

"Veronica, give me a hand?"

Veronica then shot out more parts from itself and Iron Man separated his arm from the armor and a new arm started to replace the destroyed one, fixing up the Hulkbuster armor. Good thing too as Hulk ran in from the marketplace with a roar of anger. Iron Man blasted him back with the beams from his other hand as the new one was still attaching itself.

Hulk withstood everything and ran in with a punch, which Iron Man countered with his own punch from the new arm, sending out a massive shockwave, shattering every window in the vicinity. Hulk then leaped forward to try to punch him again, but Tony was ready this time. He grabbed his face and flipped him overhead into the ground, holding him down before rapidly punching his face, using his arm like a jackhammer.

"Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep."

Hulk finally had enough and grabbed the fist, but Tony had planned for that too. Iron Man retracted the fist on the arm, effectively getting Hulk's arm stuck in his armor's one. He then took off into the air, dragging Hulk along with him.

"Okay, pal. We're gonna get you out of town."

Hulk tried to direct him by shifting his body hard, veering them off course.

"Not that way. Not that way!"

Hulk shouted out as he tossed Iron Man into a shopping mall, sending glass shards flying everywhere and Tony grabbed his throat and slammed him into the wall as Ultimate Titanosaurus leaped in as well and aimed her rocket launchers at his face.

"Come on, Bruce! You gotta work with us!" she complained.

Hulk continued struggling as Tony tried to pacify him just as a two friends arrived in a glass elevator, but upon seeing the carnage, they panicked. Hulk finally kicked Ultimate Titanosaurus through the wall, sending her and the elevator flying down to the ground floor. Thinking quickly, she grabbed the elevator cable and struggled to hold the elevator up.

"Everybody out!"

The two men filed out of the elevator in a panic as Hulk leaped after her and she dodged as he crashed to the ground and she shouted out as she leaped into the air, holding the cable and hoisting the elevator with a shout.

"Going down!"

Ultimate Titanosaurus shouted out as she smashed the elevator on top of Hulk before she delivered a wicked haymaker to his jaw.

Hulk merely spat out a tooth with a glare as Ultimate Titanosaurus stepped back, a pure "uh-oh" evident on her face.

"I'm sorry."

And that was when she was sent sailing out of the glass windows several feet above the ground before Iron Man rescued her and set her on the rooftop of a skyscraper. He then saw Hulk leaping in towards him and he activated his rocket boosters and grappled with the green monster again, traveling up the wall and sending broken glass flying everywhere around them and Ultimate Titanosaurus saw this and slapped her Ultimatrix symbol to turn back to Titanosaurus before transforming into Heartbreaker and setting off after the pair.

As they cleared the skyscraper, Tony winced from the beating his armor was taking.

"Damage report?" he asked, only to get minimal response. "That's comprehensive. Show me something!"

Veronica shot out another set of armor that Hulk smashed aside, sending it falling to the ground before he continued smashing Iron Man's armor's face in with no signs of slowing down or stopping. He looked out to see a building under construction and the bioscans showed that no one was currently inside the scaffolding.

"How quickly can we buy this building?"

Iron Man then dropped Hulk over the building before sending several rockets out to destroy the foundations and gave a massive punch to Hulk's gut as the building caved in around them and Heartbreaker came in and manipulated the several forming shadows to form a giant fist and deliver a wicked punch from the bottom that sandwiched Hulk between hers and Iron Man's punch.

This kicked up a massive dust cloud as the building completely caved in on itself and everyone in the streets ran from the cloud.

And that was when the S.W.A.T. team finally arrived and moved out, forming a perimeter around the rubble of the building as Heartbreaker soared into the dust cloud as Hulk emerged with a shout before his eyes changed back to green from red and Hulk only looked out at the several panicking civilians running away as Heartbreaker and Iron Man landed near him, and both delivered a massive punch to knock him out, resulting in him changing back to Bruce.

That night as the Quinjet soared through the sky, the Avengers regrouped inside as Bruce sat down, wrapped in a blanket as Jen shook her head from what just happened.

"The news is loving you guys," Hill told them over the radio. "Nobody else is."

"What's the status?" Steve asked.

"There's been no official call for Banner's arrest but it's in the air."

"And the Stark Relief Foundation?" Tony asked.

"Already on the scene. How's the team?"

"Um, everyone's..." Jen began before looking at her new teammates and rubbed the back of her neck. "Awful. We took a hit, but we'll shake it off."

"Well for now, I'd stay in stealth mode and stay away from here."

"So run and hide?" Tony asked.

"Until we can find Ultron, I don't have much else to offer."

"Neither do we," Jen sighed.

Tony then went to Clint as he sat at the pilot's seat. "Hey, you want to switch out?"

"No, I'm good. If you wanna get some kip, now's a good time because we're still a few hours out."

"A few hours from where?" Jen asked, confused.

"A safe house."

Soon after that, the Quinjet landed in what appeared to be a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere. That was when the seven heroes all walked up to the house, unprepared for what was to greet them.

"What is this place?" Thor asked.

"Clint only said it was a safe house," Jen said.

"Let's hope," Clint said as he opened the door and the team walked inside. "Honey, I'm home."

And from out of the corner, a pregnant woman stepped out and looked in shock at the sight of Clint and the Avengers (especially Jen.)

"Hi. We have company. Sorry, I didn't call ahead."

The woman, gave her husband a big kiss on the lips.

"This is an agent of some kind," Tony deadpanned.

"Lady and gentlemen, this is Laura."

"I know all your names... except yours. I never expected that the Avengers would let a teenager on their team."

"Jen," Jen said, shaking Laura's hand. "And let's just say that I'm no ordinary teenager."

"Ooh, incoming," Clint said, hearing approaching footsteps and two children ran into the living room, shrieking at the sight of Clint and he scooped the little girl up into his arms.

"Daddy!"

"Hi, sweetheart! Hey, buddy. How you doing?"

"These are smaller agents," Tony said.

"Did you bring Aunty Nat?" the little girl asked.

"Why don't you hug her and find out?" Nat asked as she walked forwards and scooped the little girl up as Jen smiled and rubbed her head.

"You remind me a lot of my little sister, Emma," Jen chuckled. "She's such a little ball of energy... literally."

"Sorry for barging in on you," Steve said.

"Yeah, we would have called ahead, but we were kind of busy having no idea you existed," Tony scoffed.

"Yeah, well Fury helped me set this up when I joined. He kept it off S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files. I'd like to keep it that way," Clint explained. "I figured this would be a good place to lay low from the world."

"Honey," Laura said to her husband. "I missed you."

"How's little Natasha, huh?" Nat asked, feeling Laura's swollen belly.

"She's... Nathaniel."

Nat smirked and leaned down to Laura's unborn son. "Traitor."

Clint's daughter, Lila, then stepped forwards and looked up at Thor, who gave an unsure look as he flashed back to his hallucination and some toast popped up from the toaster. Thor only stepped out of the house with Steve following him.

"Thor?" Steve asked.

"I saw something in that dream," Thor explained. "I need answers. I won't find them here."

Thor spun Mjolnir in his hand before taking off into the sky, leaving Steve behind as he looked back into the house.

"We can go home," he recalled Peggy saying in his dream. Steve only gave out a sigh before going on a walk with Jen looking on as she remembered her own dream from the Scarlet Witch and she grasped her hands as they glowed with mana, causing her to draw in a deep breath.

"The immense power you hold within you is both a blessing and a curse," the dream Scarlett told her. "You must control it. Don't let it control you."

"I will, Scarlett," she told herself. "If stopping Ultron is the reason I'm stuck here, then so be it. I may not know these guys well, but if helping them is going to somehow lead to me getting home, then that's the way it has to be."
