"Kevin! Stop! You're hurting me!" Lucky Girl pleaded as Ultimate Kevin continued draining her mana.
"This is your fault. You could've helped me with your magic!" Ultimate Kevin shouted.
"I... I tried to-"
"You tried? Everybody tried. But here I am, a monster and if I look the part, why shouldn't I act it?"
"I'm here to help you now!"
"Help yourself."
Suddenly, a loud gunshot was heard and Kevin was struck in the face several times, stumbling back as he let go of Lucky Girl as the camera panned upwards to show none other than Huntress in the arcade's rafters with her sniper rifle in hand as she cocked it and looked carefully through the scope.
"Sis," Lucky Girl realized before she focused and her eyes glowed pink. "Punctum contego!"
Lucky Girl's Telekinesis Charm glowed and she shot her hands out as several broken game consoles glowed pink and moved across the floor, slamming straight into Ultimate Kevin, sending him crashing into the wall as Lucky Girl ran away as Huntress dropped in on a grappling hook and nodded to her with a nod.
"Kevin, please! Talk to me!" Lucky Girl shouted as Huntress unsheathed her spear and twirled it around before pointing it at Ultimate Kevin.
As the consoles dogpiled Kevin, he suddenly burst out of all of them and breathed out a stream of fire from his maw that burned all of the other approaching consoles to a crisp as a massive explosion rang out of the abandoned arcade.
Fortunately, Lucky Girl shielded herself and her sister with a forcefield... only to see Ultimate Kevin approach from out of the flames.
"I'm coming for you, Gwen," he sneered.
"Abeo exorior!" Lucky Girl chanted as she teleported herself and Huntress out of the destroyed arcade just as Ultimate Kevin smashed dwon on them.
Outside, the twins, Ally, Scarlett and Darkstar were waiting as they teleported in.
"Hook, line and sinker," Huntress smirked as she sheathed her spear.
"Thought we were gonna have to come in after you, Gwen," Ben said.
"I suggest we prepare ourselves for what's coming next," Darkstar suggested. "And quickly."
"Yeah," Ally nodded. "That sounds like a good idea."
Scarlett nodded stoically, looking to the sky.
Later, Ben flew the Rust Bucket III towards their next destination as the rest of the team kicked back, obviously nervous.
"So you're in this now?" Jen asked.
"I'm not going to help or stop you from what you have to do with Kevin," Becky said. "But I am going to protect my sister from getting hurt."
"We understand," Ben said as Gwen sighed.
"It didn't work, Michael," she said to Darkstar. "Kevin's just as dangerous as ever."
"Huh," Becky said. "And I thought for sure that you'd be able to talk him out of his mindless revenge spree.'
"Shut the front door," Gwen sighed.
"On the contrary," Darkstar said. "It worked perfectly, Lovely Gwen."
"Yeah," Scarlett said. "Now that Kevin's had a taste of your power, he's going to want more."
"We're going to lure Kevin out and you're the bait," Jen said with a nod.
"So what's the hook?" Ally asked.
Darkstar smirked slyly as the plane landed in Los Soledad.
"Okay," Jen said. "What's supposed to happen when Kevin comes here?"
"I think that's where I come in," said a strong voice and the team looked up to see an old friend, only now taller, more muscular and had a deeper voice. (A/N: Hey, look everybody! It's Chris Pratt!)
"Do we know... wait... Cooper?!" Ben realized as Becky suddenly felt her cheeks turn bright red as she blushed heavily.
"You... I... whoa," Becky said, suddenly getting her words mixed up.
"I... had a growth spurt," Cooper said.
"Yeah... you sure did," Becky chuckled.
"Hi, Becky," Cooper said as they both chuckled awkwardly. "Always glad to, you know, help out."
"Our twitterpated young genius has agreed to help build a machine that will allow us to use the powers inherent in this," Darkstar said, holding the piece of the destroyed relic up.
"The Dominus Librium again?" Jen asked. "I still don't like this plan."
"If they can get it working, we can use it to cure Kevin," Ally said. "Just like last time."
"And if it doesn't work?" Ben asked.
"You already know the answer, Tennysons."
"I know Darkstar has a plan Gwen. And quite honestly, I don't give a shit," Scarlett said sternly. "I would rather do the surefire thing to save countless lives than trust any plan that monster has in mind."
"She's got a point," Darkstar admitted. "There is but one way to deal with a mad dog."
"Put him down," Jen said with a nod.
"But it's not going to come to that," Gwen said. "It's going to work."
"I'll do everything I can," Cooper promised.
Cooper then focused as his eyes glowed blue and several pieces of machinery started levitating in the air before slowly coming together.
"It's obvious why Cooper's helping," Ben said. "You, not so much."
"How are you benefitting from this, Michael?" Jen asked.
"The same as always, Tennyson. Power."
"Gwen promised him a good dose of her mana," Ally said.
"If he helps, I'll give him enough to keep him at full strength for a year."
"Yeah, great plan all around," Ben said.
"It's the only way to save Kevin," Gwen said.
"Oh, we are way past that, Gwen," Jen said as Scarlett nodded.
"No! All we have to do is-" Ally began as Ben interrupted her.
"There's no we. Not this time," Ben said. "We're the ones who put Kevin into the position where he had to absorb that energy. It's our fault that he's lost control."
"And everything he's done since, all those people he's hurt, everyone he's going to hurt, that's our fault too," Jen said.
"And it's my responsibility as a Protector to help them," Scarlett reminded.
"You have to at least let us try," Gwen said as Ben picked up a photo of Professor Paradox.
"We will, but only because we know you're going to fail," Ben said.
"Paradox already told us how this is going to end. We are going to do what needs to be done," Jen said.
"If you can get Kevin to come here, fine," Scarlett nodded. "It seems like as good a place as any to end this."
"How long before that thing's ready?" Ben asked.
"Um, a couple of hours?" Cooper suggested.
"Are you serious?" Jen asked. "Do you really think we can delay Kevin anywhere near that long?!"
"Um... less."
"In one hour, you get one shot," Scarlett said to Gwen and Ally. "After that... Kevin belongs to us."
A sonic boom sounded from outside the Tennyson residence as Ultimate Kevin slammed outside Gwen and Becky's parents house as Becky spied outside using her sniper rifle's scope.
"He's here," she whispered into her Plumber's badge.
"Gwen," Kevin said. "I know you're in there. I can smell your mana everywhere."
Ultimate Kevin smashed the the front door in, only to find Sandra, Emma and a fully recovered Max waiting for him as Sandra unsheathed her sword.
"She can't come out at the moment," Max said. "Can I help you?"
"Unless you want another trip to the hospital, old man, you better step aside."
"Not before we talk," Sandra said, holding her shield in front of her.
"We got nothing to talk about, Mama Tennyson. Move or die!"
"Your call," Max said as Ultimate Kevin tried prying the door frame up, just as Max reached behind him to grab his blaster and shot him out of the house and into the streets.
Ultimate Kevin blasted out a stream of fire from his maw as Sandra blocked it with her shield as she ran forwards and shouted out, bashing Ultimate Kevin in the head several times as she slashed him in the chest with her sword, actually doing a bit of damage as he slammed down on her, only for her to block his bashes with her shield, sending him crashing into the ground as she gave several strong punches to his head, leaving him dazed before she stepped off and joined her father-in-law.
"Sorry it had to end like this, kid," Max said.
"Not as sorry as you're about to be."
Max blasted Ultimate Kevin in the head, but he absorbed the energy and blasted Max in the chest as he faced Sandra as she braced herself and sheathed her sword and shield before she reached into her utility belt to produce two handgun blasters.
Emma looked on from the house as Sandra backflipped and blasted Ultimate Kevin back as he stomped down and Max rolled to avoid it as both of them tossed several gas grenades in Ultimate Kevin's face, sending out a cloud of gas that disorientated him as they ran to hide.
"You think that's gonna save you?"
Max placed a charge on Ultimate Kevin's back as Sandra pressed her glove to detonate it, sending Kevin flying into a street light as he instantly recovered.
"I've had enough of your tricks!"
"Too bad! We're just getting started!" Sandra shouted as Max pressed a button on his car keys as the Rust Bucket's headlights showed on Kevin as the turret moved into position.
"FIRE!"
A stream of green lightning blasted out of the turret, shocking Ultimate Kevin as he was sent crashing to the ground. He pressed his hand to the ground as it sent out an earthquake that sent the duo sprawling to the ground.
"Mom! Grandpa!" Emma shouted.
Ultimate Kevin reached down to pick up Max.
"To think I used to look up to you," Kevin said to Max as Sandra planted her sword into the ground and stood up on it, breathing heavily as she shook off the pain. "You two don't even have any powers to steal."
"To think you still learned so little from him, Kevin," Sandra panted. "I would rather die with honor than live without it."
"So be it."
"Okay, Emma, pros and cons," Emma told herself. "Pro: Mommy needs you. Con: you're useless to her if you're dead."
Emma groaned to herself before marching forwards and blasting out her mana beams, from her hands, sending Ultimate Kevin stumbling back as he dropped Sandra and she walked up to her mother and hugged her as Ultimate Kevin recovered as Emma blasted him back with her mana vision.
"Thanks, Emma," Sandra said, rubbing Emma's head. "You're going to be a great hero one day."
"Thank you."
"That's it!"
"Leave them alone, Kevin," an unfamiliar voice said as they all turned to see a balding middle-aged man standing in the street, glaring at Ultimate Kevin sternly.
"You don't tell me what to do!"
"I said leave them alone! Are you listening to me, son?!"
"You're not my real father!" Kevin said, turning to the man as he glared sternly at Ultimate Kevin.
"You're right. I'm not. But you and your sister were both little kids when I married your mother and I raised you both like my own children!"
"So?"
"So?! So you're going to listen to me!"
"You've got nothing to say to me! You tried to take our real dad's place after he was killed by Ragnarok, you convinced my mom to kick me out on the streets of New York when I was eleven years old and Ally had just become a teenager!"
"We didn't kick you out, Kevin! You demolished our house and Ally ran away so she could use her powers to protect you and teach you how to use your powers like a good big sister would!"
"Whatever. If our mom really loved our dad, she would've never remarried!"
"You watch your mouth. Your mother loved your late father more than she loved me and you and your big sister more than the both of us combined!"
Ultimate Kevin glared as his stepfather stepped in front of the doorway.
"Step aside, Harvey. I'm here to see Gwen."
"So you can steal her powers too? No. Max and Sandra told me what you've been doing. I won't let this happen again."
"And how are you gonna stop me? You holding my mom in there?"
"No!" Harvey shouted. "I'd never let her see you this way. She was so proud of the adults you and Ally were growing up into by following in your father's footsteps and by joining Max's grandchildren in the Omni-Team as well as how you finally found someone who's just right for you while Ally found a best friend in Jen. I won't let you break her heart again."
Ultimate Kevin shouted out as he brought an electrically charged fist up into the air.
"I'm not afraid of you anymore, Kevin."
"That's enough!" Ben's voice shouted as all eyes turned behind Ultimate Kevin to see the twins standing there with a serious look on her face.
"We'll take it from here, Mr. Hackett," Jen said.
"Figured you were around here somewhere, Tennyson."
"Yeah," Ben said. "Gwen and Ally had this whole plan about how we would talk to you and you would see the error of your ways."
"Sounds like Gwen alright."
"But I think we know that that's not how the real world works," Jen said. "We both know that there's only one thing you understand."
The twins then pressed their Ultimatrix cores down as they transformed into...
"Big Chill!"
"Mother Nature!"
Mother Nature shouted out as she pressed her fist against the ground and powerful vines flew upwards and ensnared around Ultimate Kevin, causing him to groan out as he blasted a bolt of electricity outwards, which Big Chill phased through.
"Good shot... but I suppose that's cold comfort."
Big Chill then breathed outwards, encasing the ensnared Ultimate Kevin in a block of ice as the twins changed back.
"Brace yourself," Ben said to Jen and Emma said as Harvey ran to Sandra and Max's side as Ultimate Kevin obviously broke out of the ice as the twins backflipped away and glared upwards as Ultimate Kevin flew to them.
"Always so sure you're gonna win! What do you have to say for yourselves now?!"
"Spidermonkey!" Ben said, slamming his core down and transforming into the Arachnichimp.
"Rockette!" Jen said as she pressed her core down and transformed into the Zepplian.
Spidermonkey shot his tail out and webbed Kevin's face as Rockette played a wicked solo outwards that blasted Kevin's face, sending him stumbling back.
Rockette snorted out as she twirled her guitar pick as Ultimate Kevin stood up as she stood by Spidermonkey with a glare.
"Look what you made us do," she said, shaking her head sadly.
Spidermonkey webbed him to the ground as he grabbed the destroyed streetlight and gave a slugger to Kevin back, sending him flying far off into the distance.
"It's going... going... gone!"
The Arachnichimp then ran around in a triangle as if running around the bases as Rockette and Emma couldn't help but giggle.
"That's Tennyson's 250th home run this season!"
"TENNYSON!"
"...May have to call that a ground rule double."
Rockette played a chord that generated a forcefield to block Kevin's neuroshock blasts as they they avoided the blasts as Emma ran up and blasted Ultimate Kevin in the face with her mana blasts, disorientating him as Spidermonkey webbed his chest and pulled him down as Rockette leaped upwards and shouted out, slamming Ultimate Kevin in the head wiht her axe, sending him crashing straight into the Rust Bucket, smashing it to pieces.
"Ben, Jen, Emma!" Max scolded.
"Whoops," Emma winced.
"Sorry, Grandpa," Spidermonkey said.
"Reflex," Rockette said, rubbing her mohawk.
Gwen stepped into the doorway with Becky by her side, aiming her bow outwards.
"What are you doing?!" Gwen asked.
"We said we were sorry!" Spidermonkey said.
"And weren't you supposed to be hiding?" Rockette asked.
"You're supposed to be delaying him, not dropping RVs on his head!"
"Uh, actually, it was the other way around," Emma said.
Gwen glared harshly.
"Look, we know what the plan was!" Spidermonkey said. "But since we already beat him, we don't need the plan!"
"GWEN!" Ultimate Kevin shouted as he burst from out of the wreckage of the RV and roared outwards, lifting its remains up.
"Uh, quick. What was that plan again?" Rockette asked.
The duo charged forwards as Ultimate Kevin stuck his body out as he floated in the air.
"You're in my way, Tennysons!"
He sent out a massive tornado from his body as the twins stopped.
"Uh-oh," Spidermonkey said as Ben and Jen shouted out as they were sucked into the tornado and swept away into the city.
"BEN! JEN! NO!" Sandra shouted as she, Max and Emma stood in anger.
Ultimate Kevin shouted out, flying towards Gwen, only for Apex to fly in and tackle him on the ground.
"Listen to us, Kevin! You're not in your right mind!"
"I don't care!"
He blasted out an energy beam towards Apex, only for it to be blocked as Scarlet leaped in front of him with her shield ready as she revealed her face.
"Queen Scarlett," he smirked.
"This has gone on long enough," Scarlett said as she swung her sword rapidly as she bashed at Kevin, actually doing damage to his torso with her powerful swipes before she backflipped and did a windmill kick to his face, sending him flying back.
"Gwen! Ally! Get out of here!" she shouted as she blasted a wave of flames at Kevin, prompting Gwen to go Anodite and fly away with Ally by her side as Becky ran below them, not getting tired at all thanks to her new Anodite powers.
Ultimate Kevin sneered as he flew away as Scarlett shouted out in frustration as she sprouted her red phoenix wings form her back and followed after him, sending out a flurry of of energy blasts from her Keyblade at him, which he shook off.
The twister continued raging through the city before Rockette pressed her Ultimatrix symbol to transform into...
"AeroForce!" she shouted as she started flying in the opposite direction of the twister and both twisters cancelled each other out as she and Spidermonkey landed in the streets gracefully as they transformed back.
"So, how's that plan working?" Ben asked as he fished his car keys out.
"Like a charm," Apex said. "Can you call bacK? We're a little busy."
Indeed, the trio was being pursued by Ultimate Kevin as he flew at them as they flew away as Huntress leaped up from a toss from Apex and landed on a flatbed truck.
Apex shouted out as she fired her red laser vision outwards that blasted Kevin at full strength.
"See? I can handle all this extra power just fine," she said. "Why can't you?"
Lucky Girl blasted out her mana bolts as well as she hit him and Ultimate Kevin roared, sending out an energy blast from his palms. Thankfully, Huntress sprang into action as she absorbed the blast into her spear blades and then twirled around, sending an energy wave out at Ultimate Kevin, sending him flying back into Scarlett, who shouted out as she sent a magical blast from her palms outwards, sending him crashing into a nearby hill.
"Okay, we ditched him for a minute," Huntress said. "I don't know how long it'll last though."
"You sure this is how you want to play it?" Jen asked.
"It's how you want to play it, too," Lucky Girl said. "Just let us try. If we fail then..."
"Look, we won't fail," Apex said as she and Lucky Girl flew next to Huntress' truck. "Kevin's a good man, we have to trust that."
Suddenly, the truck honked loudly.
"What's happening?" Ben asked.
The headlights shone on Ultimate Kevin, waiting for them as Huntress' eyes widened.
"Oh, sh-"
The driver pulled over as Huntress leaped off the truck into a somersault as a massive explosion rang out behind her, making her look like an absolute badass as Lucky Girl brought the driver out with a forcefield.
"Run!" she said as the driver complied.
"I'm starting to think you're deliberately avoiding me!" Ultimate Kevin shouted.
"Kevin, you're not well," Apex said. "Think about what you're doing."
"I'm getting revenge on anybody who ever did me wrong! Did you wrong!"
"This isn't what I would want. It's not what Dad would want!"
"This isn't about Dad. And I'm stealing your powers because I want them. I'd say I'm pretty clear headed."
A war cry was suddenly shouted out as Scarlett flew in, pulled two daggers from her belt and stabbed them into Ultimate Kevin's shoulders, causing him to scream out in pain as he grabbed her, only for her to give a kick to his face as she blasted him with her laser vision, sending him stumbling back.
Lucky Girl pulled out her spellbook and flipped it to the right page.
"Tempestus Serectum!"
A massive gust of wind surged outwards, sending Kevin stumbling back a bit.
"Stay back, Kevin!" Scarlett warned as she pointed her Keyblade at him.
"I'm not afraid of you."
"You should be!" Apex shouted.
"Thundaza!" Scarlett shouted, blasting a powerful lightning bolt at Ultimate Kevin, who smirked as his eyes glowed neon.
"Thanks for the pick-me up!"
He blasted an ultraviolet ray outwards that sent Lucky Girl stumbling back as Huntress and Apex ran over to help her up as Ultimate Kevin flew to her.
"I still believe in you, Kevin," Lucky Girl said weakly.
"That's where we differ!" Ben's voice suddenly shouted as the team looked to see the twins run into the scene and stood by Scarlett as she put her fisticuffs up as the twins stood by her side.
Ben slammed his core down and transformed into Echo Echo as Jen morphed into her Anodite form as the twenty copies of the Sonorosian tackled Ultimate Kevin as Scarlett deflected all of his blasts with well-timed blocks from her Keyblade.
"Get offa me!"
Ultimate Kevin shouted outwards as he sent a burst of energy outwards and the many copies of Echo Echo landed on the ground as Scarlett summoned her wings and flew up as Jen joined her in the sky.
Ultimate Keivn looked to see himself surrounded by all the copies, knowing what they were about to do.
"Wall of SOUND!" they shouted as they all let their sonic screams loose, disorientating Kevin and sending him to his knees as Jen shouted out and blasted out a powerful beam of mana from her hands as Scarlett sent her own wave of flames from her hands, blasting into Ultimate Kevin and severely damaging him.
Ultimate Kevin blasted out tons of fire, ice and lightning blasts that instantly vaporized any Echo Echo they touched as he blasted an ultraviolet ray skywards that knocked Jen and Scarlett out of the sky.
As the remaining two Echo Echo copies tackled Ultimate Kevin, he tossed one skywards and vaporized it with his laser vision.
"Oh no!"
Ultimate Kevin grabbed the last Echo Echo and smirked as he loomed over him.
"Kevin... you wouldn't!" Jen shouted.
Ultimate Kevin smirked as he sent out his laser vision that instantly vaporized that last Echo Echo.
"No," Scarlett said, her eyes wide as Lucky Girl, Huntress and Apex looked on in shock at what Ultimate Kevin had done as he turned back to Lucky Girl.
"Now... where were we?"
Lucky Girl screamed outwards as Ultimate Kevin started draining her power again... only for powerful laser fire to rain down upon him from above and the girls looked out and saw Ship appear from the horizon as he landed down in front of them as the cargo door popped open to reveal the twins' significant others.
"Get in, quick!" Julie shouted as Justin walked down and helped Lucky Girl up as the other two girls ran into the Galvanic Mechamorph ship as well as the door closed as Ultimate Kevin took off after them.
"Ship! Ship!"
"Slow down, Ship!" Huntress shouted. "We don't want Kevin to catch us, but we don't want to lose him either."
"Ship! Ship!"
"I can't believe how hard the twins and Scarlett are fighting," Apex said. "Any doubts I had in my mind on what they're saying? Gone."
"They were really trying to hurt Kevin," Lucky Girl said.
"It kind of looked like the other way around to us," Julie said.
"Are you sure Ben's okay?" Justin asked.
"This is Ben we're talking about. You can't keep him down for a minute."
Scarlett walked over to the DX-Mark 10 and knocked on the trunk, which popped open and one last Echo Echo clone jumped out.
"Fortunately, I always keep a spare in the trunk."
"That should be enough of a head start," Jen said as Scarlett nodded.
"Let's go kick some Osmosian ass," Scarlett smiled.
Echo Echo slammed his Ultimatrix symbol as Jen shouted out in fury, crossing her arms into an X-symbol as her entire body generated a massive magenta light.
Back at Los Soledad, Cooper continued building the machine as Darkstar adjusted the dial when his phone began ringing as he levitated the phone to him.
"Yeah?"
"Cooper, we're almost there!" Huntress shouted. "And Kevin's right behind!"
"We're not ready, Becky!"
Darkstar suddenly snatched the phone.
"We will be. Just slow him down."
"How am I supposed to delay Kevin?" Cooper asked.
"This is an abandoned military base. How do you think?"
Cooper smirked wickedly.
Several houses split apart to reveal tons of heavy artillery aiming straight at Ultimate Kevin as he flew straight out them.
As Ship flew straight towards Los Soledad with Ultimate Kevin in hot pursuit, Cooper blasted tons of missiles straight at Ultimate Kevin and, since they were heat-seeking, they all blasted straight into him, sending the mutated Osmosian hurtling downwards into a building.
Ultimate Kevin shouted out as tons of laser and missile fire ran down on him, prompting him to fly up and grabbed one of the missiles which he tossed straight at the water tower launching them. He heard the familiar hum of Ship touching down and he looked over his shoulder to see him land.
"That's it. I'm out!" Cooper shouted.
"You sure about this?" Julie asked as the trio exited her pet.
"Not really," Lucky Girl said.
"Ship."
"This is the only way to save him. Get out of here!"
Ship closed his cargo door as Julie and Justin blasted out of the scene.
"What's it gonna be this time, Gwen? You gonna run or are you gonna fight?"
"You stay away from them!" Cooper shouted, bursting out of the wall, only to be caught by Ultimate Kevin.
"Trying to make time with my girl, huh?"
"You know he has a crush on me," Huntress said, looking out worriedly as Ultimate Kevin tossed a screaming Cooper skywards.
"Cooper!" Apex shouted... when suddenly, he was caught in a mana field as he looked to see Jen in her Master Spark form fly in and caught him, placing him next to Becky.
"Jen?"
"Yeah, it's me."
Huntress leaned in and whispered into Cooper's ear as they ran back into the lab.
Ultimate Kevin was suddenly blasted from another direction by a powerful red energy blast. He turned his head to see Scarlett dropping her smoking palm as she leaped down from a nearby rooftop and unsheathed her sword and Keyblade, sticking her sword out to the mutant Osmosian as Jen slowly flew down to one of her sides and Ultimate Echo Echo dropped in on her other side as Apex and Lucky Girl stared at them in horror at what the three warriors were about to do.
"Why am I not surprised that you survived? Or that you're here, Your Highness?" Ultimate Kevin snarked. "You three are really starting to bug me!"
"I'm sorry we've come to this," Ultimate Echo Echo said. "But we can't let you hurt anyone else."
"Oh, would you three really destroy one of your good friends?" Ultimate Kevin asked, growling.
"For the universe?" Scarlett asked as she brandished her sword to Kevin with her Keyblade dropped to her side. "In a heartbeat."
"Ben, Jen," Gwen begged. "You two promised we would try this my way first!"
"Yeah. We lied," Jen said, her aura flaring up.
"Come on!" Ultimate Kevin shouted.
"Let's dance," Scarlett muttered, crossing her two blades over her chest.
And with that, the warrior queen ran in, dodging all of Ultimate Kevin's various blasts as she leaped up and delivered a powerful spinning energy kick to his face as she summoned her phoenix wings from her back and flew back as Ultimate Echo Echo delivered a massive sonic blast to him, sending him hurtling back into several abandoned buildings.
Jen and Scarlett flew down with a shout, sending several mana and fire beams outwards that blasted into Ultimate Kevin as he was sent flying into a large building as they regrouped next to Ultimate Echo Echo with a glare as Ultimate Kevin burst upwards from the ground with a roar as the twins and their godmother looked on angrily.
"I've had it with you, Tennysons! Always beating me when we were kids! Everything always going your way!"
Ultimate Kevin sent a flurry of crystals flying at the trio as Scarlett stepped in front and whirled her katana around at blinding speeds, shattering all the crystals before they could impact.
"I get turned into a freak, you two became world famous superheroes!"
"We never asked for this!" Jen shouted. "Jimmy was the one who posted that video revealing us. These things just happened."
"And between you and me, I wish we had our secret identities back."
"My heart bleeds for you two. Now you just bleed!"
Kevin sent a magnetic blast outwards that sent tons of metal debris flying at the trio as they scrambled to avoid it as metal stuck to Ultimate Echo Echo as a tank flew in. Thinking clearly, Jen shouted out as she summoned her mana sword outwards and sliced down the tank, sending the two chunks flying to either side as Scarlett flew up to Ultimate Kevin with a shout as she gave a massive energy kick to the back, sending him falling down into the wreckage of a building as she landed down next to him as she avoided his strikes before giving an energy charged jab to his stomach before giving a karate chop to his neck. Then, she gave several blinding punches to the face before yanking his head down and she gave out an energy-charged rolling uppercut to the head, sending him flying back before she flew back up and Kevin glared hatefully at the trio.
"Nice. But I've got all your powers. And sooner or later, you're gonna make a msitake. And that will be the last time!"
Scarlett rapped her fingers on her Keyblade as her hair covered her face in shadows as she sighed.
"I promise that we'll try to make this as quick and painless as possible."
Ultimate Echo Echo sent out tons of his sonic discs around in a circle around Ultimate Kevin as he focused and then shot his hands forwards.
"SONIC DOOM!"
The discs all sent out massive blasts o sound that immediately disorientated the heavily mutated Osmosian, causing him to scream in pain as Jen flew overhead and generated her five elemental crystals and sent them spiraling around her rapidly before they all moved into position in front of her as she shouted out in fury.
"Quintessence Beam!"
Five brightly colored lasers blasted out of the crystals and slammed right into Ultimate Kevin, causing him immense pain as Jen and Ultimate Echo Echo didn't stop the assault as Scarlett, on a nearby rooftop, tossed her Keyblade into the air and it morphed into a large cannon resembling a Keyblade as she caught it, hoisted it over her shoulder and focused her gaze on Ulimate Kevin, who was getting absolutely assaulted by the twins as she glared and charged her Keyblade up.
"Ultima Cannon!"
The Keyblade cannon charged up before Scarlett shouted out and fired a giant sphere of pure energy down at Ultimate Kevin, blasting straight into him and causing a massive explosion that nearly blinded everyone present as Ultimate Kevin was knocked completely unconscious, barely alive and Scarlett jumped down from the rooftop with a backflip and she and the twins panted heavily from the amount of power they had just used.
Scarlett then brought her katana forwards and then rested it above Ultimate Kevin's neck and lifted it up slightly.
"One more should do the job."
"Guys, don't!" Lucky Girl shouted as she and Apex flew in to stop them. "He's our friend!"
"He was going to hurt you and steal your powers too, Gwen."
"It's not Kevin," Apex said. "It's the power. It's not his fault!"
"He knew the power of the Ultimatrixes would go even more insane than he did before," Jen said. "Now he must deal with the consequences."
"Paradox said we were the ones who would do what has to be done. We've got to!"
"Then do it," Lucky Girl said. "Protect the innocent. That's Kevin too!"
The twins and Scarlett backed off then as the twins changed back to human form.
"You'd better be right about this," Scarlett said. "Because if you're not, you're just as susceptible to traitorism as he is."
"Of course."
The team grouped up in the lab as Cooper typed in the machine controls while Scarlett stood by with her hand trained on the hilt of her katana, ready as they looked at the glowing piece of the Dominus Librium floating inside the machine while Ultimate Kevin was restrained in heavy metal cuffs Incredibles-style.
"That's it. We're ready to go," Cooper said.
"You sure it'll work?" Gwen asked.
"Pretty sure," Cooper said before Becky nudged him, causing him to blush. "I mean... yes."
Cooper fired up the controls as Ultimate Kevin screamed in excruciating pain as the inherent power from the Librium extracted the energy out of him and into the relic as the alien features on his body began receding. Eventually, all the energy was extracted and the now human Kevin groaned as he fell out of the restraints and into his sister and girlfriends' arms.
"Kevin!" they cheered.
"It worked!" Jen shouted.
Suddenly, as the golden glow faded, they looked behind the machine to see a now fully powered Darkstar standing there, holding the Dominus Librium in his hands as he tore his clothes away to reveal his entire body glowing golden, leaving everyone... actually, pretty nonchalant.
"He, he. You pathetic imbeciles! This was my plan from the beginning! The power is mine! NOTHING can stop me now!"
"Yeah, yeah. Like nobody saw that coming," Becky said as she reached into a secret compartment, revealing a big red button as she slammed it down.
"What? No!" Darkstar shouted as the glow stopped, leaving him down to his underpants as he fell to the floor. "What... happened?"
"All the power you stole and all the power Kevin stole? Back where it belongs," Becky smirked.
"And that's the least of your problems!" Kevin shouted as he ran up and gave a wicked sucker punch to Darkstar's face, knocking him out.
Kevin then looked to Cooper, who smiled.
"Nice work, kid."
Gwen and Becky then ran up to Cooper with a smile.
"You saved his life!" Gwen shouted as she and Becky both laid a kiss on Cooper's cheeks, causing him to blush as red as a beet.
"What are you talking about, Becky?" Cooper asked. "You're the one who figured out Darkstar's plan and told me what to do."
"Eh, well. Part of the job," Becky said.
"Hey, Gwen. Since you're kissing people..." Kevin said, gesturing to his redheaded girlfriend, who smiled as she walked up to him and delivered a deep and passionate kiss to his lips.
"Now that's what I call a happy ending," Jen said as Scarlett nodded, folding her arms.
"You know it," Ben said.
"You don't know the half of it," Sandra said as she, Max, Emma, Julie and Justin said as they walked into the lab.
"We expected Alan, Jess and the others to get their powers back," Max said.
"But even the energy that Aggregor stole went back to where it belongs," Julie said as she gestured to her left to show the ten smiling Andromeda aliens.
"And returned us from oblivion," Ra'ad said.
"Thank you, Ben and Jen Tennyson," Uriel said, flying up to them and taking Jen's hands. "You've saved us all."
"Yeah, well, it wasn't just us this time," Jen said. "It was all of us. Together."
Kevin looked nervously to the twins as he looked up to them.
"Listen, uh... when I was out of control, I said some things I shouldn't have."
"You don't have to apologize," Ben said. "We were both kind of jerks. That's why we all get along."
"We're not jerks," Ally said as she smiled and placed a hand on Jen's shoulder.
"Good point," Jen said. "If I were you, I'd apologize."
"Yeah?" Kevin asked. "Well, if I were you, I wouldn't have been such a wuss."
"Wusses?" Ben asked.
"If you two ever lost it like I did, I would have taken you down right away."
"And if we had, you wouldn't be here to call us wusses!" Jen shouted.
"...So it worked out great," Kevin chuckled.
"So, who wants smoothies?" Becky asked.
"You buying?" Ben asked.
Little did any of them know, on the Mystic Isles, some of the members of the Council of Protectors were having their own meeting on recent events.
"'They're amazing," Angella asked as Hippolyta, Pink Diamond, Celestia, and her sister, Princess Luna all nodded with smiles.
"Definitely," Pink Diamond said. "And it's so easy for them to do the right thing, you know?"
"It's a part of who they are," Hippolyta said.
"So... we all agree?" Celestia asked.
"We all agree, I think," Angella said.
"Of course we agree," Luna said. "The real question is, are we, or more importantly, they, ready?"
"No one is ever truly ready when we invite them to join us, Luna," Angella said with her arms on the table. "But now, they have the maturity to handle it."
"Then let's do it," Pink Diamond said.
"Okay, then," Celestia said as she activated her enchantlet to call Scarlett. "Scarlett? Can you please bring Ben and Jen to the Mystic Isles for us?"
Scarlett nodded to her enchantlet's projector as everyone recuperated from what just happened as she laid a hand on Ben's shoulder.
"Ben, Jen?" Scarlett asked. "The Council of Protectors want to see you."
She summoned her Keyblade to open a portal to the Protectors' headquarters as the twins followed her.
Upon arriving, the twins looked nervously as Scarlett led them to the council room.
"Are we in trouble or something?" Ben asked.
"I don't understand. What's going on?" Jen asked as Scarlett shook her head.
"I mean... I've seen it go either way around these parts," Scarlett said. "I have no idea."
Scarlett led the two into the council room as they saw their old friends, plus Princess Luna as Pink Diamond smiled upon them.
"Hey, Ben and Jen," Pink Diamond greeted warmly.
"Hey, guys," Jen said. "What's going on?"
"Where do we start?" Hippolyta asked.
"You two know very well that when we look at who to recruit for the Protectors, we look at all of their factors," Celestia said simply. "As you know, all of the Protectors are very diverse in their skills. Each and every one of us are incredibly powerful in such different ways. So recently, we were talking and discussing who we really believe in to go on to the next level. And we discussed you two in particular a lot. And we have come to a decision."
Ben and Jen looked at each other nervously before looking up to the council as Celestia nodded to them.
"I've been waiting to say this for months. We want you two in the Protectors. Today. Right now."
The twins gasped as Jen turned and gave her brother a massive hug as he lifted her up and spun her around in the hug as they both cheered out, laughing as Hippolyta smiled on them from her seat.
"You're serious?" Jen asked, shock evident in her voice.
"Absolutely," Pink Diamond said. "You were perfectly ready to execute a close friend of yours if it meant saving your universe from destruction. Putting your feelings aside to be able to perform your superhero duties unhinged? That is prime Protector behavior. And you have it in spades."
"Of course, that means a whole lot more responsibilities for both of you, my friends," Angella said.
"Yeah, we know," Ben said as Jen fist-pumped as Luna flew down to them with a nod.
"Your new tools as Protectors should be arriving at your home shortly."
Ben and Jen smiled as they looked over their new fellow Protectors as a few of the ones they were familiar with smiled on them.
"Even though we technically don't exist by all government records, we still serve to protect the multiverse in times of need," Celestia said as the fellow Protectors nodded.
"We are hope," Steven Universe said.
"We are honor," Princess Adora bowed.
"We are courage," Princess Sofia nodded.
"We are justice," Raven said, flashing her new enchantlet.
"We are compassion," Anne Boonchuy said, bowing to the twins.
"We are determination," Luz Noceda said, twirling her staff with a smirk.
"We are harmony," Twilight Sparkle said as Scarlett smiled as she turned to the twins.
"We are Protectors," she finished as she took Jen's hands. "Being invited to be one of us is one of the highest honors a hero of the multiverse can receive."
Ben and Jen smiled as they looked at each other and gave eadch other another massive hug.
