Gunha Sogiita. The Seventh Level 5. A 15 year old boy, who's power is rather unique amongst the Level 5's.

Specifically in how his powers worked.

Espers did not wave their hands and force out their powers instantly; to use their powers one has to study and learn basic physics and mathematics in order to manifest and control their abilities properly. Some espers, especially those with mind-based abilities require an external tool to approximately gauge and control their powers to prevent risk of accidental harm done by their abilities.

A pyrokinetic esper would learn physics involving heat, Electromasters eletricity, hydrokinetics with water, so on and so forth. However the Curiculum is very careful as to not turn espers into one-trick ponies; every single esper enrolled into the metropolis has to learn from the basics to the big boy subjects, and if one isn't careful they'll be blindsided by a class about Advanced Algebra and Calculus when not an hour ago basic geography was the main class.

As is said the strongest esper is incidentally the smartest; Accelerator, the 1st Ranked Level 5. His power, Vector Manipulation, allows him to control the vectors of every single object in existence.

And since everything has a vector, the whole world is his playground.

His power grants him an automatic defense against all forms of attacks; bullets, tank shells, lightning bolts, fireballs, any conceivable way humans can think of to hurt a fellow human the Accelerator can withstand thanks to this defense, and another unique property this defense grants Accelerator is the ability to reflect it at twice the damage or more.

There were several cases of broken arms, destroyed weapons, and mangled bodies, with each one even more gruesome than the first.

It was hypothesized, that he could perhaps survive a nuclear explosion at point-blank range; that is assuming he hasn't died from the lack of oxygen.

And his brilliant mind is almost as powerful as Tree Diagram, the world's most powerful supercomputer.

Accelerator was Academy City's answer to the US' nuclear bomb.

Gunha Sogiita, though was a rather strange case.

His ability (if one can call it that) had a wide variety of effects; superhuman physical condition (he could punch through concrete as if it was paper, he can move at 3 times the speed of sound, withstand massive explosions without lasting injury and heal almost instantly from every type of injury), aerokinesis (through punching the air), explosion generation (with each explosion differing in intensity and color, seemingly from his own will), shield generation, etc. And those aren't the only ones.

And every time he gives an explanation as to how he can do those things he gives scientifically inaccurate reasons or just chalk it up to his so-called "Guts".

He also believed himself to be a superhero of sorts.

"Yeah this guy is something," Kuroko said as she read the file on the Seventh Level 5.

Age, height, weight, birthday, likes, dislikes, his school, his whole profile was on display for the young girl to peruse.

And it gave her a headache.

Sitting at a bench in a park in District 7, during a very sunny day, did not do her mental state any favors.

She could've had left for a bottle of water or ice candy, but Konori had told her to, quote, "hold your position and wait for the suspect to arrive, or you're spending another week filing paperwork non-stop," unquote.

"Jeez it's so hot," she complained as she fanned herself. She would've been already in her dorm, with her beloved Onee-sama to massage her and whisper sweet words into her ears...

Kuroko had to slap herself to prevent having a "private session" with her fantasies, in public. She nearly got in trouble for doing so.

"Head in the game Kuroko-san, head in the game," she muttered. Grabbing the only bottle she had on her side she opened it and drank the water inside to cool herself up. She then closed the bottle, placed in to her side and continued her search for the Seventh, who was coincidentally walking around with the swag of an average superpowered teenager.

"Konori, the suspect is in sight, should I pursue him?" She called to her boss.

"Negative. Profile notwithstanding he might grow defensive if we directly called attention to him. Maintain distance, and hide in plain sight. Await for my orders."

"Roger that Konori-senpai."

Kuroko teleported to a nearby tree, onto a branch which looked sturdy enough to support her weight. She saw Sogiita standing at an area near two benches, his arms crossed and his face furrowed in seriousness. It seemed as if he was waiting for someone.

"Or maybe, he was guarding...?" Kuroko muttered to herself. Suddenly the boy looked forward, vaguely at her direction; she quickly teleported down to the ground and hid behind the trunk. She peered on the side, and continued to observe the boy.

After a few hours of nothing Sogiita suddenly glanced to his side, and seemed to have sensed something.

"Something is happening," Kuroko said.

"What's going on?"

Kuroko opened her mouth to say something when he disappeared. "Shit he's on the move. I gotta go!"

And with that Kuroko teleported away.

"Hmmm, I dunno about this, maybe this was the wrong place to go to," Kamijou muttered to himself.

Touma Kamijou was currently second-guessing himself as he sat at a bench outside a clotheswear store.

He had no idea as to why he sat nearby. He didn't know whether he should get inside to buy or not.

Kamijou had a hunch that if he continued to help people without hiding his face much worse things might happen in the future.

So to prevent that from happening (Or to delay the inevitable) he must wear a mask.

With a deep breath he entered the store with caution guiding the boy's steps. He looked around for something to cover his body, and his hair so that no trace would be tracked back to him.

A jacket would do. Something that would bring attention to him so that street thugs would go and attack him first.

A red hoodie jacket glowed in Kamijou's peripheral vision as he scanned the jacket aisle.

"Well, that was... surprisingly easy, too easy," Kamijou muttered as he took the red hoodie off the rack. He took the hanger off the hoodie, placed the hanger back on the rack, and put it over his shoulder.

Now would be the mask.

He suddenly stopped. And he realized something.

Wouldn't he look suspicious?

He had already gotten in trouble before with AntiSkill and Judgement (granted they weren't very serious, but still), and with his appearance people might start asking questions.

So a mask wouldn't be good to get. "I could... cut up a few clothing and stitch them up... maybe?"

He stood still as he thought about it.

...

"Fuck it, I'd risk pricking my fingers over getting accused as a pervert any day," he muttered to himself as he went to a different area in the store.

He reminded himself to buy some thread.

Kuroko landed on top of a nearby building as she looked at Sogiita, with his back turned to her.

He was currently confronting a group of thugs harassing a single middle school student. The group had 5 members and they all looked positively pissed at the nosy Level 5.

Kuroko sighed as she grabbed a small telescope and remote listening kit within her pockets. Due to the compatibility of the kit it was quick and easy to set up, and vice versa requires even more care to set up; kits like these are deceptively expensive to replace.

But Kuroko despite her faults was a professional at her job; within 12 seconds she managed to set it up and focus the small trumpet-like tool towards the boys, and she attuned her earpiece to the kit. Switching on the kit a loud static noise rung out in her ears which caused her to flinch from the volume.

After her ears adjusted she listens to the conversation on the ground.

"-picking on the helpless is not a very gutsy move," she heard Sogiita say.

"Piss off brat we don't wanna do whatever roleplay it is you're doing," one of the thugs say.

"I can't leave without having you guys leave the dude alone, this is what it means to live with guts," Sogiita exclaimed with passion, his smile beaming.

"That's it, you're fucking dead you fucker!" One of the thugs rushed at the esper, a knife held at his hand.

Kuroko was about to jump in and help him out when Sogiita reached out and caught the knife hand with his left.

"What the fuck, how are you this strong!?"

"Rushing towards someone with an armed weapon is not gutsy at all." He rose his eyes to look at the thug, and glared at them causing the thug to shudder in terror.

One second later the thug was flown through the air and landed on a wall, knocking them unconscious.

"What the-ack!" One of the thugs was quickly incapacitated by Sogiita, and with great strength pulled his fist back and with a mighty yell...

"AMAZING PUNCH!!!" The wind from the shockwave of the punch blew the rest of the thugs away, land on various objects (dumpsters, garbage cans, trash bags, vending machines, etc.) and fall unconscious.

But surprisingly the bullied boy was unharmed.

"Are you okay mister?"

"U-uh yeah I'm okay, t-thank you for helping me."

"No problem, it's what a man would always do."

"Hehe, yeah, easy for you to say when you have all the power..."

"Hmm, what was that?"

"Nothing, sorry for bothering you, I should go now my friends are probably waiting for me..."

"Oh before you go," Sogiita said when he raised a USB towards the boy. "You must have dropped it when they were messing with you. Take care of it."

"T-Thank you! My teacher would be furious if I lost this!"

"Don't mention it. Well, I'll leave you be then. Stay safe on the streets, and keep an eye out okay?"

"Y-Yeah thanks." And with that Sogiita disappeared in a blur.

Kuroko was barely shocked by the amount of power Sogiita displayed now; how he was able to create such a powerful force of energy from a single fist was another story.

But she could deal with the physics of Sogiita's powers later as she quickly teleported to where Sogiita might go to.

The boy from before walked his way when he stumbled and nearly fell on the ground, his USB flying off his hands. He caught it after it jumped around his hands.

"That was close," the boy said.

"My one ticket to a better life..." He muttered. "If maybe..."

He gripped the USB tight.

Kamijou had felt that today... was a bit too peaceful for his tastes.

Nothing unlucky had ever happened to him. No tripping-overs, accidental lechery, nothing that would make Kamijou suffer everytime. Almost as if his luck had given him a lucky break.

'N-No no no no, that is impossible, the universe is probably winding up for the grandest venture of misfortune it has ever planned for me. I can't hope to be totally optimistic roght now!'

Kamijou's Laws of Misfortune state that anything bad that can happen to Touma Kamijou, will happen.

It only composes of 3 laws:

1. misfortune at rest or uniform motion will continue to be at rest or uniform motion;

2. the acceleration of misfortune as produced by a net event, whether benign or not is disproportionate to the magnitude of the net event, changes direction in relation to the net event, and knows no proportion to the subject's suffering;

3. there is an equal and opposite reaction for every action.

These are the immutable laws of the universe, and its namesake can only groan out a simple, "Rotten luck".

"Must be ready... for anything," he muttered. Taking a deep breath, with a sharp exhale he focused his mind in mental fortitude to prepare for the worst.

"Ready perfectly." And with that he went to the shirt's store, with a wide selection of shirts on display. Scanning the aisle for any red shirts to complement the hoodie he picked up two red shirts and placed them in the basket.

"Okay, that was easy," he said, and now all that he gotta do is to go to the cashier and buy them.

Much to his surprise, it went off without a hitch.

'Okay, this sudden fortune is getting really outta hand, when will the true suffering start-'

"What are you doing here?" A familiar feminine voice called out to him.

'I KNEW IT!' He internally screamed as he turned to look at who called him out.

There, in front of him, stood Seiri Fukiyose in casual clothes.

He'll admit, apart from school they hadn't really known each other for that long. All he knew from her, according to the boys in the class, that she was a quite beautiful girl, whose beauty was offset by her strict attitude, demanding nature, and no-nonsense aura.

Almost all the boys in class wrote her off as "a pretty girl lacking in sex appeal".

He would like to have a word with them some time because they were lying.

She wore a pink sundress which hugged her bountiful curves well, and whose skirt was short enough to show her thighs ('she has really nice thighs'). On top of the dress she wore a purple buttonless vest. Her long hair was tied up in a ponytail, her bangs unparted like before at school covering her large forehead. She had a red handbag on her side.

She had a questioning look on her face; but unlike those previous days genuine curiosity etched the features of her face instead of frustration and annoyance.

Kamijou had to blink twice after seeing her; he convinced himself this was a dream because she had no right to look this pretty.

She might be dating, so that's why she looked so good.

"Hello? Hello, is anyone in there? Am I talking to a robot or something?"

"...Hey Fukiyose. How's life?" Kamijou smoothly replied.

"...Good. May I ask why you're on the department store?"

"I was uh... um..." He tried to get the words out but was too distracted by her curves enticing him. "I was shopping for curves- I mean clothes, you know my curve- I-I mean clothes are a bit limited now, might as well brea- BUY. Some clothes. For. Um... special occasions."

"...Uh huh." Fukiyose deadpanned. "You're not using this weekend to goof off and not do your homework again are you?"

"No maam, despite my looks Kamijou-san is very diligent and never lets any chances go away! I did my homework weeks ago!"

He wasn't lying, he actually did.

But how was he supposed to know that birds and dogs loved to eat paper?

"Okay, at least you're telling the truth, unlike some people," She said, a tuft of blue hair bringing unexplainable levels of rage to her heart.

Kamijou gulped, he had to tread carefully to prevent a premature death at the hands of her.

Walking together they continued.

"So, um, what brings you here? Any upcoming projects in school?"

"Well there's the upcoming Daihaseisai this year, so I am picking up everything we need for the festival, tents, clothing, the whole thing. We need as much as we can get."

"Sounds pretty tough."

"Yeah pretty much. I've had my hands full for that, so the Council had decided to take a break yesterday, so here I am."

"Huh, ok. And how's that treating you."

"The usual. You know thanks to the free time I've been able to buy a lot of health products recently, and I might as well splurge a bit of my allowance on some stuff."

'Then what's with the getup,' is what he had wanted to say, but he wisely kept his mouth shut.

He had a really hard time looking anywhere but her chest and thighs. Her dress did not make things easy for his hormones.

"And there's the matter for your attendance, Kamijou." Her voice, initially casual, had went stern as he turned towards her. He gulped, watching her stern eyes peering through his soul. And due to the height difference he had to look down to her.

He had to resist the urge to lower his gaze.

"Yeah F-Fukiyose-sama?" She only stared at him for a few minutes, before she sighed.

"Well, I don't know how you did it, but do keep it up yeah? I'm very surprised by your sudden lack of tardiness, but it's a welcome surprise. I'm sure your grades will improve in no time."

He saw her frown switch to a gentle smile, the kind of smile his mom would give him. At some point as she praised him her arms crossed under her chest, puffing them outward.

Kamijou was both surprised by her sudden gentleness, and bothered by her twin masses pushed towards him.

"H-Hey don't give me too much credit, I just thought of a way to make things a lot easier for me you know, what with my misfortune."

"Yeah yeah right," she said, annoyed. "Just do keep it up, as I said. Things will look up to you."

"Yeah sure I'll make sure of tha-AAH!" He said before someone ran past and bumped him from behind. If it weren't for his much better sense of balance from the bite he would've been in a compromising position with Fukiyose. She went to his side and asked if he was alright, to which he nodded.

Going over to whoever bumped Kamijou, "Hey watch where you're goi-EEEYYYAA!!!" But she never finished her sentence as someone bumped onto her as they ran past. She was about to land face-first to the floor when suddenly she found herself suspended in air midfall.

"A-Are you okay!?" Kamijou called to her.

"Y-Yeah I'm fine," Fukiyose panted out. She turned to see Kamijou leaned over her. It looked like he had caught her in the nick of time. "T-Thanks."

"N-No problem."

He tried to smile to comfort her, but it only froze mid-smile due to the position he found himself on.

As said earlier he had caught her as she fell, but now that it was over he found his left arm over her torso.

Right under her breasts.

Thankfully (he hoped) he didn't accidentally grope her, however the twin mounds weighing down on his arms and his hand only slight inches up on the side of her ribs hadn't really helped his hormones from wildly spreading around his body.

And with the close proximity he found himself next to Fukiyose, he caught a whiff of something pleasant from her.

'V-Vanilla... And strawberry?'

"K-Kamijou-san while I am grateful for helping me would you please help me up before something very bad happens?" Kamijou turned to her, to see a flushed-red face, with an annoyed expression.

"Oh, r-right," he complied as he helped her up and tried to remove his hands from her dress.

Keyword, tried.

"Uh..."

"..."

"...W-Wait... gimme a second..."

"..."

Kamijou nervously laughed as he took his hand off her dress, and well... it wasn't working as planned.

"Kamijou I swear if you're trying to do something I'll get really pissed off so get your hand off me."

"Yes Miss F-Fukiyose just give me a second..." Kamijou said as he tries to unstick his hand off her dress. He pulled his hand off her, trying to take it off her dress. Fukiyose, for her part, pushed Kamijou off her as he unsuccessfully attempted to unstick.

"I...I-I-I don't think I can take it off," Kamijou said worriedly.

"I don't care, just take your goddamn hand off of my dress," Fukiyose was furious.

As the two teens try to pry off Kamijou's hand off Fukiyose's dress unbeknownst to them a crowd came over and started surrounding them.

"What the hell is happening here?"

"I don't know, some kind of lovers' quarrel?"

"Is this some roleplay I'm not familiar with?"

"Hey buddy get your hand off her!" A random guy came in and grabbed Kamijou, and with a mighty pull pried Kamijou off her.

The sound of fabric ripping, a scream and a vicious scuffle later, Judgement was called in, and saw two boys lying in the ground, one unconscious, one awake but in a state of dizziness, and a girl covering herself with her vest.

After a couple hours the three kids were released after a couple of minutes in interrogation. The unnamed boy explained on what had happened back then. Kamijou explained that his power had acted up and caused the embarrasing situation. While Fukiyose, face flushed with red and wearing a new set of clothes, only nodded to their answers.

The officers in charge of the interrogation wrote that the incident was "an unfortunate case of power incontinence" (which made Kamijou oddly relaxed by the mention of misfortune), and released them without trouble.

While the boy who was never named left without a trace, Kamijou was about to walk away when suddenly his collar was grabbed by Fukiyose. "You tell anyone, about what had happened here, and I'll make sure no one will find your body when I'm done with you. Do I make myself clear Touma Kamijou?"

"Y-Yes maam."

"Good." And with that she left without a word.

Kamijou could sigh and let out his signature line: "Rotten luck."

Kuroko went to the dorm early after her patrol had produced nothing of value regarding Sogiita. Even with her power she couldn't hope to catch up to the boy without fatigue setting in.

"Oh gooooood... I'm so tired. If only my beloved Big Sister could appear right here and comfort me..."

As if right on cue the door opened, and Mikoto had walked in, her bag in hand.

"Oh hey Kuroko, guess you shift's over, what's up?" She cheerfully greeted Kuroko.

A moment silence passed between the two girls, followed by Kuroko's screech of "OH MY DEAR SISSYYYYYYYYYYY" and lunged towards the Level 5.

You can see how things went down.

Also, Belated Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year everyone!!!

Also, can I get some Fs in the comments for Creation's Mercenary, which was axed a couple of weels ago due to a copyright claim by some guys. I don't want any drama to arise from this, I just want to honor this fic's life and use it as an inspiration to keep writing.

I doubt if you're reading this, Joestar1988, but please don't let this bring you down.

As of now I've been reading your other works, and they are pretty solid, especially your Midnight fic.

Please keep it up, and I can't wait for more stories from you.

Anyway that's all for now.

Sincerely,

Komigakuo.
