"You're no noble Exceed, just a filthy traitor." Knightwalker said as Pantherlily fell back. "A disgusting fallen. You dare forget your debt to our king and betray him?"
"It's the other Erza!" Natsu shouted in a panic.
"Heartless bitch..." Gajeel growled. "You're gonna pay for that."
"We have to do something to help him!" Shagotte said, reaching out for Lily. One brace Exceed spoke up and volunteered to go after him before doing so.
"Scarlet!" E. Erza roared from her legion.
"Knightwalker..." The Fairy Tail wizard mumbled as her Exceed struggled to stay airborne.
"I've had enough of your disrespect, captain Knightwalker." Mystogan spoke up. "How dare you take up arms against the royal prince of Edolas."
"THE ROYAL PRINCE OF EDOLAS, YOU?" Faust asked, his voice booming with every letter. "DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH! YOU'RE UNWORTHY OF THE TITLE BECAUSE I NEVER SAW YOU AS MY SON."
"That's the kings voice..." Coco said.
"So where is he?" Lucy asked, looking around.
"How should I know?" Nicholas asked, once again holding the horn of the legion.
"YOU HAVE SOME NERVE, RUNNING OFF FOR SEVEN YEARS AND THEN EXPECTING TO WALTZ BACK IN LIKE NOTHING'S HAPPENED." Faust said. "DO YOU TAKE ME FOR A FOOL? I KNOW YOU'VE BEEN IN EARTHLAND, SEALING ALL OF THE ANIMA I'VE SET UP. YOU'RE A TRAITOR, AND MUST BE PUNISHED FOR YOUR CRIMES."
"Where's that voice coming from?" Wendy asked, looking around.
"I have no idea, but he sounds angry." Carla answered.
"Your Anima plan has failed." Mystogan said back at his father. "Just surrender peacefully, there's no reason to keep fighting."
"REASON!?" Faust asked back. "WHO SAID I NEED A REASON TO FIGHT BACK?" Beneath the Exceeds and wizards, an old coliseum was starting to glow green. "THIS IS NOT A SIMPLE FIGHT. THIS IS A LESSON TO ALL WHO WOULD DARE OPPOSE THEIR KING!" The glow died down revealing a large grey sphere.
"What is that?" Lucy asked
"SINCE YOU AND YOU'RE MEDDLESOME FRIENDS INSIST ON STANDING UP TO ME, I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO WIPE OUT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!" Faust said as the sphere started moving. "EVEN IF YOU ARE MY SON."
"Father, please." Mystogan begged.
"I AM NOT YOUR FATHER!" Faust shouted back. "I AM THE KING OF EDOLAS! IF I DISPOSE OF YOU HERE AND NOW, NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO SEAL UP MY ANIMAS AGAIN. I'LL CREATE ANOTHER GIANT LACRIMA AND FUSE IT WITH THE EXCEEDS. LIMITLESS MAGIC POWER WILL BE MINE!" The sphere started changing before feet slammed down on the ground. "TRY AS MUCH AS YOU WANT, THERE IS NO STOPPING ME! I AM THE KING, MY POWER IS ABSOLUTE!"
"Dorma-Anim..." Shagotte mumbled in horror.
"The Dorma-Anim." Mystogan said aloud. "From our old tongue, it means 'dragon knight'. It's enhanced dragon armor."
"A dragon..." Natsu repeated.
"Well, it definitely looks like one." Happy said.
"What does enchanted dragon armor mean?" Slate asked.
"It's an enhanced riding armor made from a lacrima called wizard canceller." Coco explained. "It's bad news for us because our attacks won't work on it. The king must be the one controlling it from the inside."
"AS YOUR KING, I ORDER YOU TO CAPTURE THE EXCEEDS!" Faust declared, making the legion platoon fly forward.
"Fly for your lives!" Mystogan shouted, making the Exceeds panic before they followed his advice.
"They're getting away!" Knightwalker shouted, prompting soldier to fire their conversion cannons at the cats, turning them into lacrima.
"Fly away! Hurry!" Shagotte shouted.
"My queen, we must hurry away." Mysdroy said. "It's too dangerous here."
"Please, be strong." She whimpered.
"Do your best to protect the Exceeds from the royal army." Erza said to Lucy. "I'll deal with Knightwalker."
"Okay." Lucy nodded.
"What are we gonna do about that thing down there?" Gray asked, looking down at the suit.
"I wouldn't try that, if I were you." Coco said. "Our magic is useless against it."
"We just have to dodge its attacks." Mystogan spoke up. "We have to protect the Exceeds at all costs. They're defenseless right now."
"Alright, let's go!" Natsu cheered before the legion started flying towards the cats.
"THINK YOU CAN AVOID ME!?" Faust asked back. "WE SHALL SEE! I'LL DESTORY ANYONE WHO GETS IN MY WAY!" A beam started charging from the machines mouth. "I WON'T LET ANYONE ESCAPE MY WRATH!" The beam fired and traveled straight for the legion.
Just before impact, Mystogan's legion flew between them and blocked the blast. "Mystogan!" Erza called out.
"MYSTOGAN!?" Faust asked. "DON'T TELL ME THAT'S THE NAME YOU USED IN EARTHLAND? YOUR NAME IS JELLAL!"
"Erza, get out of here while you can." The bluenette said.
"What about you?" She asked back.
"Forget about me!" He shouted.
"Will he be okay?" Coco asked, worried for her prince.
"Yeah, he'll be fine." Natsu answered.
"Three Layered Magic Circle: Mirror Water!" E. Jellal chanted before three seals sent the beam bouncing back.
"HE REFLECTED MY ATTACK?" Faust asked in shock before the attack hit him. "THAT TICKLED. BEHOLD THE POWER OF THE WIZARD CANCELLER. ATTACK WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT, BUT IT WILL NOT STOP ME! THE DORMA ANIM IS IMPERVIOUS TO ALL FORMS OF MAGIC!" Another beam fired and hit Mystogan, sending him crashing to the ground.
"Mystogan!" Erza called out.
"AND THE PRINCE HAS FALLEN!" Faust cheered with a sick grin. "I'M SURE HE'S AT HOME, CRAWLING ALONG THE GROUND WITH THE REST OF THE WORMS!"
"Ice-Make:-" Gray started before the legion moved to avoid a beam.
More beams hit the Exceeds, creating a rain of lacrima that fell down around Faust. "WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT. I WON'T REST UNTIL EVERY LAST EXCEED IS A SPARKLING LACRIMA!"
"Only the humans would come up with something like this." One Exceed, hiding behind a pile of rubble, said. "What is that thing?"
"The beast that turns the heavens back and brings only destruction." Shagotte mumbled.
"The thing nightmares fear, the Dorma Anim, the dragon knight." Mysdroy said. "Legend has it that long ago, it was used to attack Extalia and it nearly destroyed all of Edolas as well."
"The humans were so horrified of what they had created, they choose to ban its use." Muganto added. "And yet here it is. Alas, the details of that day were lost to history."
"But the legend says that Edolas lost most of its magic power when Dorma Anim first turned sky black." Shagotte said.
"This sucks!" Gray complained as the legion dodged another beam. "How can we fight and dodge at the same time?"
A stony blast hit the dragon armor in the neck. "WHAT WAS THAT!?" Faust asked before another force hit him in the chest. "WHO IS ATTACKING!?" A third impact hit him in both legs at the same time. "I DON'T UNDERSTANT! THE DORMA ANIM IS SUPPOSED TO BE IMMUNE TO MAGIC!"
"Sky Dragon Roar!" Wendy shouted before letting out a tornado that pushed the machine back.
"Nice job, Wendy." Natsu said as she landed between him and Nicholas.
"Thanks, but I'm sure you three can cause a whole lot more damage than me." She said back
"I'm sure I will never dive-bomb again." Nicholas said, still in a cold sweat.
"You're gonna regret hurting my cat." Gajeel growled.
"IT WAS YOU, I SHOULD HAVE KNOW." Faust said, glaring at the quartet.
"Please, be careful!" Carla shouted down.
"We got this." Natsu said. "Just keep the cats safe."
Erza looked down and nodded back. "I'll leave it to you."
"Are you sure you they can handle that thing by themselves?" Lucy asked.
"Of course they can." Gray said back. "Who better to fight a dragon than those who were trained to kill them? They're the only ones who can stand a chance. The Dragon Slayers."
With Pantherlily
"Look up there, lacrimas." The cat who followed Pantherlily said, pointing up at the sky. "Do you think they got everyone?"
"When the Dragon Chain canon was severed, the kingdom lost ten years worth of magic power." Pantherlily explained, clutching his wound. "Even if they were to capture every Exceed, they could never recover that much. They've resorted to using the Dorma Anim. If they've done that, who knows what they'll do next."
"Lily, you're alive." Both looked over to see Mystogan step out of the forest.
"My prince..." Lily mumbled.
With the Dragon Slayers
"You're joking, right?" The noncouncil member Exceed asked as he looked out the corner. "Four scrawny humans are take on that thing? They must be crazy strong or crazy stupid."
"Come along, Shagotte." Mysdroy said. "We must move before you get hurt."
"Let's do this Salamander, Rocktard." Gajeel said as they stared up at the beast.
"What did you call me!?" Nicholas asked.
"Focus guys." Natsu said, cracking his knuckles. "Once we beat this clown, you two can go back to beating each other up."
"I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU TRY." Faust chuckled.
"I'll back you guys up." Wendy said. "Oh, swift wind that speed through the heavens: Vernia!" Magic seals appeared beneath the men and they all started hovering before they started glowing red, brown and green.
"TAKE THIS!"" Faust shouted before firing a beam from the suits mouth. All three moved out of the way and the impact with the ground created an explosion.
"Whoa, we're really flying now!" Natsu cheered.
"I CAN'T GET MY TARGET LOCK ON THEM..." The king growled.
"Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" Natsu shouted before slamming his fist into the suits head.
"Iron Dragon Club!" Gajeel chanted before slamming his club into the suits jaw.
"Earth Dragon Warhamer!" Nicholas shifted his arm into his hammer and slammed it into the armors neck.
"I DON'T UNDERSTAND!" Faust shouted in annoyance as the three men bounced off landing blows. "THEIR ATTACKS SHOULDN'T AFFECT ME. SO WHY IS THE DORMA ANIM TAKKING DAMAGE!?"
"It should have fallen by now." Gajeel complained.
"Let me help." Wendy said, raising her arm. "I call upon the might to cleave the heavens: Arms!"
All three men started glowing again as Natsu stared at his arm. "I feel way stronger all of a sudden."
"Its an attack enhancement spell." Wendy explained.
"Ready to crack this tin can?" Gajeel asked.
"Just say the word." Nicholas said.
"NONSENSE, WHY IS THEIR MAGIC INCREASING!?" Faust asked in shock before Natsu slammed into the suit. "IT'S HER. YOU'RE DONE FOR!" A panel slid back on the suit. "DRAGON RIDER MISSILES LAUNCH!" Missiles shot out of the suit and flew towards the girl.
"Look out, Wendy!" Natsu warned.
"I can handle this." She said back. "Vernia!" Increasing her own speed, she jumped back and the missiles hit the ground. She looked up and saw that some were following her.
"They're following her?" Gajeel asked.
Wendy tripped over some rubble and fell onto her face. She stood up as the missiles honed in on her, only for Natsu to get between them and destroy them all. "Thanks, Natsu."
"I'm not gonna let them hurt you." He said back.
"JUST TRY AND STOP ME!" Faust said back before something started banging on his armor.
"You ain't shooting anything anymore." Gajeel said, slamming on the chamber before Nicholas did the same.
"YOU'RE GETTING ON MY NERVES!" Faust shouted before he swung Nicholas off him and hit Gajeel with the tail.
Wendy looked forward to find two missiles flying towards him. "There are two missiles left. How can that be?" Natsu raced forward to deal with them. "Wait, those are different from before!" The thrusters shut off and the pods burst into flames.
"AHAHAHAHAHA! ITS ABOUT TIME YOU WIZARDS LEARNED YOUR PLACE!" Faust bragged. "YOU COULDN'T SLAY A DRAGON EVEN IF IT BEGGED YOU TOO!" A slurping noise caught his attention as he saw Natsu sucking up the flames. "IMPOSSIBLE! HE'S EATING THE FLAMES FROM THE MISSILES!?" Crunching caught his attention and the suit turned its head. "IS HE INSANE!? WHY IS HE EATING THE DORMA ANIM'S TAIL? AND WHY IS HE EATING THIS OLD PLACE!?"
"Man, that was some nasty tasting fire." Natsu as he wiped his mouth. "Don't think I've ever had flames that gross before."
"The iron too, bad stuff." Gajeel added.
"Same with the stone." Nicholas agreed. "Even so..."
"Now I've got a real fire in my belly." All three men said at the same time.
"Don't you have your own thing, boulder brain?" Natsu asked.
"Seemed like the appropriate thing to say." He shrugged back.
'Unbelievable... are all Earthland wizards this powerful?' Faust asked himself.
"No wonder people call this thing a dragon." Natsu said.
"That's not a dragon. Just a dumb old man riding a big hunk of junk." Gajeel pointed out.
"He's alone without any guards to protect him." Wendy added. "If we beat him, we can end this."
"Then let's get to it." Nicholas said.
'So these are the Dragon Slayers...' Faust thought. 'Such power... I must make it mine!' The armor started glowing pitch black.
"What's going on?" Gajeel asked.
"Something's going on with the air." Wendy observed.
'If I capture the Dragon Slayers, I can start my Anima plan all over again.' The king thought as his armor started shifting. 'They're the key to obtaining everlasting magic power for Edolas... What am I saying, they're weapons. I should capture them for myself. And if they get damaged in the process, so be it.'
"I SHALL ROB YOU OF THE WILL TO FIGHT, AND THEN YOU'LL BE BEGGING ME FOR MERCY!" Faust shouted. "WITNESS THE POWER OF DORMA ANIM BLACK HEAVEN!"
"I'VE GOT YOU NOW!" Faust shouted as the suit, now shaped like a knight, raised its arm and slammed it down, sending all four crashing around them. Natsu was the first to recover and slammed his fist into the suit. "YOU'LL HAVE TO DO BETTER THAN THAT!" He shouted before swatting Natsu away.
"CAN YOU FEEL IT!? THIS INCREDIBLE MAGIC POWER! DON'T BOTHER DROPPING TO YOUR KNEES, STAY THERE SO I CAN WATCH YOU TREMBLE IN FEAR!" Faust raised his arm again and slammed it down, sending all three flying back. "YOU CANNOT STOP ME! I AM THE ONE DRAGON YOU CANNOT SLAY!"
Far away, Mystogan and Pantherlily watched the scene. "Forgive me, Natsu."
"Your highness, what are you up to?" The large cat asked, using the smaller one as a support. "I saw what happened, why did you let him hit you?" Mystogan turned with a smirk on his face. "Don't tell me it was about me?"
"I was worried about you." The prince explained.
"I'm fine, this is nothing but a scratch." Pantherlily said before groaning in pain.
"We've no choice but to leave the Dorma Anim to Natsu and the others." Mystogan said. "We have another matter to deal with?"
"And what is that?" The captain asked.
"One final task. And I won't be able to do it without you." He explained, confusing Pantherlily.
With Erza & Co.
"The army has almost caught up with the Exceeds." Erza said as Coco's legion flew closer to the mob.
"There's so many of them." Gray mumbled.
"What do we do?" Lucy asked.
"We to over there and we kick some serious ass!" Brianna answered. "The Exceeds are counting on us."
"I was waiting for you, Scarlet." All looked forward to see Knightwalker and her legion in front of them.
"What do you want with me?" Erza asked as a platoon of legions appeared behind Knightwalker.
"It's a trap!" Gray shouted.
"We've been ambushed!" Lucy added.
"Legiy, get us out of here!" Coco said before her beast was shot in the gut from the ground. "Legiy no!" All the humans fell off and started falling towards the ground.
"Those who threaten our king cannot be allowed to live." E. Erza declared. "Make sure none of them survive!"
"Stop squirming, child!" Carla begged Coco as she lowered the girl to the ground.
"We have to rescue Legiy!" Coco shouted.
"You need to calm down." Gray said as Slate carried him.
"You're so heavy..." Happy groaned as he grabbed Lucy.
"Drop me, and you'll die!" Lucy shouted.
"Hold on, anyone seen Erza?" Brianna, in her Harpy form, asked.
Knightwalker looked over to see her Earthland counterpart swing around a chain on a legions neck before jumping onto her. She barely had time to block the attack Erza had raised.
"So shall we end this, Knightwalker?" Erza asked as she jumped off the beast.
"Everyone go ahead and land!" E. Erza shouted as she followed her counterpart. "I'll handle this one by myself!" The soldiers obeyed and flew after the others. "The ruins of one of the cat's ancient cities. Seems a fitting place for your corpse."
"Wishful thinking and that's all it will be." Erza said as her body glowed. "I can't believe someone with my face would harm ever Fairy Tail."
"And I can't believe someone with my face would defy the will of the king." Knightwalker said as her spear glowed. "We don't need two Erzas."
"My thoughts exactly." Erza said in her Heaven's Wheel armor before both charged each other.
With Gray & Co.
"That hurt..." Lucy groaned as she and the others laid on the ground in pain. Sitting up, she grabbed Happy off the ground and squished his face. "Why did you fall when all you did was carry me?"
"It's cause you're heavy..." He mumbled out.
"Don't go blaming your weakness on my weight!" She shouted back.
"Where's Erza?" Brianna, the only one on her feet, asked.
"She's battling Knightwalker." Carla answered.
Magic blasts hit the ground and sent the group flying to the ground. "They found us!?" Gray asked in shock. All stood up to see a swarm of royal army members surround them. "Like a bunch of rats."
"Were surrounded, Lucy." Coco said.
"Looks like we have to fight." The blonde replied.
"Sounds like fun." Brianna cracked her knuckles in anticipation.
A conversion cannon fired at the three Exceeds, forcing them to dodge. "Stay away!" Gray shouted as he summoned a wall of ice.
More blasts fired at the three as they hopped around like mad men. "Why are they so focused on those three?" Lucy asked.
"All of the fleeing Exceeds have been turned into lacrima." A soldier answered, shocking them all. "You three are the only ones left. So stay still and be turned into power!" Another blast fired and the three dodged again.
"Exceeds are living creatures, just like us." Gray said, charging his magic. "Are you that obsessed with magic power that you don't care about that!?" Soldiers charged him and he slammed his hands down, blasting them with ice. "You people need to learn some lessons about life! You can't just kill someone to take what they have!"
Edolas Fairy Tail Guildhall
"We have to help save the Exceeds." Lucy Ashley said to the guild. "On my way in, I meet up with Gajeel. He told me the army is capturing them and turning them all into lacrima."
"Who's Gajeel?" E. Lisanna asked. "Wait, you mean that reporter?"
"He's a creep, but I've gotta admit. He knows his facts." E. Jet said.
"We have to help them!" E. Brianna shouted next to the blonde. "The Exceeds and Earthland Fairy Tail members are in serious trouble. The army wants to wipe them out and take over the world. We can't just sit back and let that happen!"
"We know, but... the royal army has all kinds of magic weapons that we don't." Dragion spoke up. "We don't stand a chance against them."
"He's right." E. Mirajane added. "We've had it bad enough just trying to survive."
"I hate to be the downer, but they'd pulverize us before in a heartbeat." E. Gray spoke up.
"I say we just wait until the royal army and the Exceeds are done fighting." E. Droy suggested. "Once they're both exhausted, we hit them with a proper Fairy Tail thrashing."
"I admit, that is a brilliant idea, Droy." E. Cana agreed. "Strike when the iron is hot and all."
"Perhaps we should cozy up to the royal army." E. Juvia suggested. "Get on their good graces, and they'll no longer see us as their enemy."
"I have to admit, it would be nice not to live in constant fear." E. Wendy agrees.
"You're so smart, Juvia." E. Gray praised. "And so pretty."
"Give a girl some space, would ya!?" She shouted back.
"Out of the question." E. Lucy said. "The king is drunk on his own power. Even if we side with the army, there's no guarantee we'd be in his good graces."
"She's got a good point." E. Lisanna added. "We can't try to make nice with them, we know they can't be trusted. Even if we side with them, they could turn on us."
E. Lucy nodded before speaking again. "Droy's idea won't work either. King Faust isn't going to wait around. The second he's done with the Exceeds, he's gonna come after us. He'll unleash an era of tyranny on any who oppose him. This is our only chance to save our world. Humans and Exceeds need to work together to stop him."
"Maybe this isn't such a good idea." E. Natsu said, shaking in fear. "I think we should just let the two of them fight it out."
"He's got a point." E. Alzack added. "I don't wanna fight, I just wanna cuddle with you." He told his version of Bisca.
"I agree." She nodded. "I don't think we should get involved. It's got nothing to do with us."
"Why are you acting like a bunch of wimps!?" E. Lucy asked. "Things may seem fine now, but once the king is done with the exceeds, he'll come for us."
"We know that, Lucy." E. Mirajane said.
"We know that's a possibility, but there's nothing we can do against the king and the army." E. Bisca added.
"And another thing, we're running low on magic power." E. Levy spoke up. "We only have enough power for one more jump. So if we head into battle, we won't be able to turn back."
The door flew open and everyone turned to find a broken maquhitl slide forward. "Finally reached you..."
"No way..." E. Brianna growled as Nicholas Fale walked into the guild. Jumping down, she raced forward in anger until she reached the door to find him battered and beaten and holding his right shoulder.
"Don't bother. I'm practically armless." He moved his arm away, showing only a nub where his right arm was. He walked over to a table and sat down. "What's a guy got to do to get a drink around here?"
Everyone stared at him before E. Mira got him a mug. "How did you find us?" She asked, putting the glass on the table.
He grabbed the mug and tried to drink, but it was clumsy as his dominant hand was gone. "Tracking device in the one place you'd never look."
"Enough! Why did you come here!?" Stone asked.
Placing the glass on the table, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. "The coordinates to the fight. Take them." He paid attention to E. Brianna as she grabbed what was left of his weapon. "Anger will give you wrinkles, ya know. You don't care, but I do. See, no matter what you do, your family is never coming back... and I can't undo that damage. So, I'll give you a choice. Kill me and take your revenge, or let me live a broken man. You have until I finish." He took another sip as Brianna gripped the handle with both hands.
He placed the mug down and looked at the guild. "So, you guys gonna fight the king or what?"
With the Erza's
"Trinity Sword!" Erza swung her blades across one another and launched an arrow head of energy at Knightwalker.
"Gravity Core!" Knightwalker's spear summoned a black hole and met the attack head on, creating an explosion. "Blue Crimson!" Her spear split in two and sent waves of fire and ice at her clone.
Landing on the ground, Erza activated her Requip magic as her body glowed. "Morning Star Armor: Photon Slicer!" The swords sparking electricity were brought together and sent a stream of matching energy at her opponent.
"Rune Save!" Knightwalker combined her spears and split the attack in half.
"She cut through my attack!?" Erza asked in shock.
"Silpherion!" Knightwalker boosted her speed and slammed into Scarlet, crashing her through three old buildings. The last one forced the two apart as Erza flew back in pain. "You're mine now!" Before she could stab her clone, Erza summoned two blades to her feet and blocked the spear.
With the Dragon Slayers
"YOU ARE PATHETIC!" Faust laughed as the Dragon Slayers landed on the ground in pain. "YOU HAVE NO HOPE OF DEFEATING ME!"
Natsu groaned as he pushed himself up to his feet. "Everyone here is suffering because they can't use magic. So why does their crazy king have more than anyone else?"
"YOU'D BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A KING THAT HASN'T TAXED HIS PEOPLE." Faust chuckled. "THE DORMA ANIM REQUIRES A CONSTANT INTAKE OF MAGIC POWER, SO ITS GATHERED FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD. THAT'S WHY IT WAS SEALED AWAY. ITS USE WAS FOBIDDEN. IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO WIN THIS FOR MY WORLD!"
"Why should we believe you!?" Wendy asked.
"You don't care about this world, that's why you took all the magic power!" Gajeel shouted.
"So spare us the good of the people bs." Nicholas added.
"One of the reasons I joined Fairy Tail was to help people." Natsu said, igniting his fists. "I couldn't care less about this world, but I do care about the people in it. So this butt kicking is for them."
With Lucy and Co.
"Open, Gate of the Lion - Loke!" Lucy chanted before summoning her spirit.
"Miss me, Lucy?" The spirit asked before charging into a mass of troops.
"One side!" Brianna charged forward in her Minotaur form.
"Take this!" Slate shouted as he threw his knives at the troops. "Keep moving!" He told Carla and Happy behind him.
Coco raced forward and kneed a soldier in their face before the troops started firing at them. "Magic bullets!?" Lucy asked.
One blast flew towards Happy and Slate. "Look out!" Carla raced forward and took the hit.
"Crap, I hit one of the Exceeds." The gunner mumbled.
"Be more careful, that's our power source." Another one next to him said.
More shots fired at the three before Brianna raced over and tanked the shots. "Get her out of here. We can handle this."
"Right." Happy nodded before he picked her up and ran, Slate giving him cover.
Ice shot up and blocked the gunman as Gray raced forward. "Don't mess with me." A roar caught his attention as a swarm of legions broke through the forest. The beasts charged him and Loke as the mob overwhelmed everyone. Brianna was pinned down by her neck as she screamed in pain.
"Someone... help us..." Happy whispered a prayer.
A sapling broke through the ground and grew into vines that wrapped around the legions necks. "What's going on?" A soldier asked as the sapling turned into a tree. "No way... they always run."
A flag emblazoned the tree as the Edolas Fairy Tail members charged into battle. "Sorry we're late, but that's better than nothing." E. Lucy told her clone.
"Thank you..." The other blonde said back.
The guild started battling the army as Edolas Lucy helped her clone up. "Can you stand?"
"I'll try..." She answered as Loke gawked at the two blondes.
"What's with your clothes!?" Both Grays asked at the same time. "Put some on!/ Take some off!"
"One Gray was bad enough, but now there's two!?" E. Juvia asked, crushing two soldiers in a head lock.
"I'm so jealous of them..." Surge mumbled.
"Why?" The Earthlander asked.
"What I wouldn't give to be pressed up against her bosom too!" E. Gray shouted.
"You actually like that psycho!?" Gray shouted in shock.
E. Brianna watched as a Minotaur shoved a swarm of troops off her before turning into a clone of herself. "You're me?" Both asked, before looking at each others outfits. "I wouldn't be caught dead in that thing..."
Lucy looked around and tried to make sense of what she was seeing. "Gray's head over heels for Juvia, Shadowgear is the strongest team, Brianna's in a suit? Everything's backwards here."
"We're lucky, aren't we?" Happy asked as Carla looked over. "If they hadn't shown up, we'd be goners. I know we could count on them. They're Fairy Tail, after all."
Carla smiled as the guild kept fighting. "Lovable hooligans, no matter what world..."
Magic bullets started flying towards them before Slate threw knifes at the guns. "We need to get clear!" He said as Happy helped Carla up. "Lets go!"
With the Erza's
Knightwalker charged Erza and tried to stab her, but the Earthlander spun around and blocked. Landing on her hand, she Requipped her boots on and caught her blades before clocking again. "Scarlet!" The captain roared in anger.
"Knightwalker!" The second redhead shouted as the force from impact created an explosion, forcing the two apart. "To think we're this evenly matched..." She panted out.
"Even? Not at all..." Knightwalker chuckled as her spear glowed. "You still don't know the final form of the Ten Commandments." Lightning shot off the spear as its form changed again. "Divine Spear Ravelt. The divine spear that the greatest blacksmith in Edolas forged. A single strike will cause ultimate decimation strong enough to shake the heavens."
Erza's own body glowed as she donned a pink suit of armor with a cape. "Armadura Fairy, my strongest armor. It shares my guilds name because it embodies all the qualities I love about Fairy Tail."
"Well then, let's put it to the test." Knightwalker said with a smirk. Both charged with a roar as they glowed in magic. Upon impact with each other, the island exploded, their weapons shattering along with it. "My... Ravelt..."
"The... armor..." Erza mumbled in shock before the remaining island started shaking and falling. "Did we cause the island to become unstable?"
"Neither of us have any magic power left either." Knightwalker added. "But that won't stop me from killing you!" Erza beat her to the punch and punched her in the face as the two started fist fighting. "Damn you!" Knightwalker punched in the face before grabbing her face and pinning her to the ground. "For the sake of infinite magic, I cannot lose!"
Erza flipped her counterpart over and rolled to her side. "Just how many lives does that infinite magic you speak of cost? You're obsessed with it, you'll do anything to get it, even kill."
"That's what it means to be human!" Knightwalker shouted before taking a fist to the chin.
"Not true! Humans are full of love and compassion!" Erza shouted. "Stand up for those you care about, and raising a sword for those who cry!" Both Erza's entered a knuckle lock and tried to push the other down. "You don't hear the cries of the Exceeds, Knightwalker!?"
"I hear the cries of this world even more than you do!" Knightwalker said as she raised a knee into Scarlets jaw. "But this is the only way to save the withering magic in this world!"
"You're wrong! People, not power matters!" Erza shouted as she threw Knightwalker to the side.
"You're from a world of limitless magic power, you could never understand!" The captain shouted as she started throwing punches. "Living your life in fear of losing magic, the disparity that can bring! We cannot survive unless we get our hands one infinite magic power!"
"You're wrong!" Erza caught her wrist and pinned them to the side. "If that were true, then we'd be dead by now! But even without magic, we're still alive. Having magic is nice, but it's not needed to live. You must over come your fear, not submit to it! You share my strengths and weakness, that means we share the same heart! That's what it means to be alive!"
'Is this true?...' Knightwalker asked herself. 'Is this the real me?'
"Look inside yourself, and speak your true voice." Erza said before noticing something that shocked her.
'Tears...' Knightwalker thought as the island hit the ground.
"What just hit the ground?" Ashely asked.
"Erza?" Gray suggested.
"I can't move a muscle..." Knightwalker said in a crater from the impact. "I guess you win, Scarlet."
"There was no winner here..." Erza said, struggling to look over at her opponent. "After all, were the same."
The Royal City
Mystogan led Pantherlily through the castle before they entered a large room. "Is this where they formed the Animas?" The cat asked. "Prince, what are you planning?"
"I've spent a great deal of time in Earthland." The bluenette explained. "It's not perfect, but it's not chaotic either. It will make a fine receptacle."
"No, its madness!" Pantherlily said in realization. "You can't mean what I think you mean."
"There's no other way." Mystogan said back. "I'll open a reverse Anima and remove all magic from this world."
With The Dragon Slayers
"CAN'T YOU SEE ITS FOOLISH TO RESIST!" Faust shouted. "THERE IS NO DEFEATING THE DORMA ANIM! I RULE ALL THE MAGIC POWER IN THIS WORLD, SO I WILL USE IT!" He raised his spear and fired a volley of magic at the group.
"Its not yours to horde, you greedy geezer!" Gajeel shouted as they dodged the shots,
"You're not indestructible, pal!" Natsu added.
"Sky Dragon Roar!" Wendy launched a tornado at the suit, only to have it blocked.
"HOW MANY TIMES MUST I SAY DON'T WASTE MAGIC POWER?" Faust asked. "YOU'RE ONLY DRAINING MY SUPPLY."
"You supply?" Nicholas asked. "No one owns this magic but me!" He and Gajeel jumped on and slammed their club/pillar on the suit, only to get blasted off.
"IT'S JUST A MATTER OF TIME TIL YOUR POWER IS MINE." Faust smirked.
"I'll stop you, I swear!" Natsu delcared, causing a barrage of missiles to hit them all.
"EARTHLAND WIZARDS ARE A LUCKY LOT." Faust said as the Slayers hit the ground in pain. "YOU CARRY IMMEASURABLE POWER BECAUSE YOU WERE BORN WITH IT. AND THEN THE DRAGON SLAYERS, WHO ARE EVEN MORE POWERFUL THAN ANYTHING ANYONE IN THIS WORLD COULD CONCIVE. THAT POWER WILL BE MINE, AND I'LL USE IT TO REPLENISH THIS WORLDS SUPPLY."
Faust started laughing as the Earthlanders started moving. "SEEMS YOUR NAME IS NOTHING BUT JUST THAT. AS LONG AS I WIELD THE DORMA ANIM, I AM INVICIBLE. MY ARMIES WILL RULE THIS WORLD WITH AN IRON FIST, AND I WILL REIGN SUPREME!" The four tried to stand up again. "SO THERE'S SOME FIGHT LEFT IN YOU?" Faust asked before blasting again. "I CANNOT WAIT TO TAKE YOUR POWER FOR MYSELF!"
The Slayers hit the ground in pain as Faust stood over them. "I PRAY TO THE GODS OF THE HEAVEN AND EARTH. GIVE ME EVERY OUNCE OF MAGIC POWER YOU STILL HOLD." Black energy flew out of the forest and swarmed around the metal mass. "THIS IS IT, THE LAST OF EDOLAS' MAGIC POWER. YOUR TIME IS UP!"
"Salamander... we need to roar..." Gajeel said, catching Natsu off guard. "Same with the kid and rocktard."
"Not the time for name calling, slag breath!" Nicholas shouted. "We can't hold back, so give it everything you have!"
"Got it!" Natsu shouted.
"I'll do my best!" Wendy added as they all pulled their heads back.
"Sky Dragon/ Earth Dragon/ Iron Dragon/ Fire Dragon Roar!" All chanted before unleashing a mass of different elements that spiraled together. They hit, creating a massive explosion.
"We got him..." Gajeel smirked out, making the others smile as well. The sound of laughter caught their attention as they all looked to the sky to the suit high in the air. "That thing jumped that high!?"
"Our four on one attack didn't even hit him." Wendy realized.
"Then we try again!" Natsu declared.
"LIKE I'D GIVE YOU THE CHANCE!" Faust shouted back. "DRAGON KNIGHT DIFFUSION CANNON!" Missiles rained down upon the ground, making all four Slayers cry out in pain. Faust landed with a laugh as the Fairy Tail quartet laid on the ground. "FOR MY BELOVED KINGDOM OF EDOLAS, I WOULD DO ANYTHING. NONE OF YOU COULD UNDERSTAND, YOU WHO WERE BORN IN A WORLD WITH LIMITLESS MAGIC. EDOLAS HAS NO NEED FOR GUILDS, ONLY MAGIC WILL BRING THEM COMFORT. AND I WILL GIVE IT TO THEM!"
Natsu coughed in pain as Gajeel stared up at the sky. "Not good... I'm out of magic... Rockhead... eat some dirt..."
"I DON'T THINK HE'LL BE ABLE TO HELP YOU." Faust said, Nicholas under his foot face up. "SEEMS LIKE YOUVE REACHED YOUR LIMITS. EVEN IN A WORLD WITH POWER LIKE YOURS, IT MUST TAKE TIME TO REGAIN THAT POWER. IF YOU WISH TO SURRENDER, THIS IS YOUR ONLY CHANCE. AGREE TO SUPPLY MY KINGDOM WITH POWER, AND I WILL COMPENSATE YOU."
"It's over... We can't move..." Wendy moaned out.
"So this is the end..." Gajeel mumbled.
"...Don't you dare give up!" Natsu, on his knees, shouted. "This fight isn't done yet!" Willing himself to his knees, Natsu stared up at the suit. "Hit me with your best shot! I'm still standing here!"
"VERY WELL, I'LL END YOU HERE AND NOW!" Faust raised his free leg and slammed it down on Natsu.
"Natsu..." Wendy mumbled.
"The hell's the matter with you?" Gajeel asked. "You can't fight without any magic."
"I'm not without it!" He shouted back. "I'll take some from tomorrow if I have too!" He pushed with all his might and the suit fell backwards. "Don't ever underestimate Dragon Slayers!"
Gajeel and Wendy looked at him in amazement. 'From tomorrow, huh?'
"LEARN YOUR PLACE, YOU PIECE OF FILTH." Faust delcared before blasting Natsu again. "I AM THE KING OF THIS WORLD! BOW TO ME!" An alarm caught his attention as he looked up to see Gajeel falling, club for an arm.
"You're the one who's gonna bow down, old man!" Gajeel declared before slamming his arm through the foot.
"THE HELL!?" The king asked.
"I've locked you down." Gajeel explained. "Try jumping again, and this leg is mine."
"YOU DARE!" Faust raised his arms to crush him, but they stopped moving. "WHAT?" He looked up to see two chains of stone wrapped around them.
"Try anything, and I'll make you armless." Nicholas said, his arms turned into chains. "Natsu, finish this!"
The pinkette fell from the sky and looked at Wendy. "Roar with everything you've got, Wendy!" He said, shocking her. "Trust me, do it!"
"Okay..." Wendy stood up and took a deep breath as Faust struggled to break free from his restraints. "Sky Dragon Roar!" A tornado hit Natsu and he started spinning along it.
'I'll be damned...' Gajeel thought to himself. 'He found the attacks rotation and he's riding it home.'
"NO, THIS CAN'T BE!" Faust shouted in horror.
"Fire Dragon Sword Horn!" Natsu lit his body ablaze and flew clean through the suit, grabbing the king with him. He threw the king to the ground just as the suit fell over and exploded.
Faust hopped up to his knees and stared at the visage of four angry dragons. 'I was desperate to control something this terrifying.' He fainted in horror and hit the ground, unconscious.
And that is how you kill a monarchy. Thought that Edo Nicholas showing up at their Fairy Tail would be a fun thing to. Plus, it would also explain how they knew exactly how to find the army. Not sure what to do about Fale, tell me any ideas you'd like to see.
