I decided to upload another chapter, because I was thinking it might be a while before I upload another chapter. I hope you enjoy!
Lita Tells Ezra
The shuttle landed at Ryder's hideout, where they find a group of stormtroopers arresting Ryder and Chopper.
"Friends of yours?" Leia asked.
"Not for much longer, by the look of things," Kanan said.
"Oh my, this does not look good," Deethreepio said worriedly.
"What are we going to do?" Leia questioned.
"This time, you follow my lead." Kanan admitted.
"Sorry, but I still prefer doing things my way," Lita replies, putting her hood back up and tying her scarf back on her mouth and nose.
They all walked out of the shuttle and went up to the commander stormtrooper. Lita, Rori and D3PO were with them too, but Lita was using the Force Cloak again on herself and her companions so that nobody could see them. Then they stayed hidden close by so that none of the stormtroopers would see them.
"This is a secure site," the commander stormtrooper said. "State your business."
"I'm taking the princess ambassador here on a scouting mission for possible refugee relocation," Kanan replied.
"This is not a safe area for you," the commander stormtrooper admitted. "There's a high level of rebel activity happening at the moment."
"Well, we're finishing our survey," Kanan stated. "We could take these prisoners back to Jalath for you."
"That won't be necessary," the commander stormtrooper said. "We have orders to terminate one of them immediately."
"Hold on, trooper," Leia said as she walked forward. "As a representative of the Senate, I demand to know what this man has done."
"He's a fugitive from an Imperial prison," the commander stormtrooper stated. "Now, depart immediately for your own safety. Where you find one rebel, there are usually more."
Lita was about to use the Force on the Stormtroopers when Chopper suddenly started spinning around wildly.
"Chopper's receiving a signal," Kanan whispered.
"You know what that means," Ezra said. "Hera's here."
On cue, the Ghost appeared and shoots at the Imperial transports. With that Lita took it as her cue to move, but made sure to stay hidden. She also made sure that she, her droid and her nexu didn't get hit.
"More friends of yours?" Leia asked.
"Yeah, I'm a likable guy," Kanan remarked and helped up Ryder. "You're coming with me!"
Kanan grabbed Ryder and pulled him behind a toppled Imperial Troop Transport, along with Ezra, Mina and Leia.
Zeb and Sabine disembarked and a firefight began. Chopper rolled toward the Ghost, but Sabine blocked him from coming inside.
"No, you can't come on board!" Sabine stated. "You have to go get the Phantom. Get moving!"
Chopper grumbled and flew towards the Phantom.
"Your friends might shoot you wearing that armor," Ryder said.
"That's not a bad idea, Governor." Kanan replied. "Take the princess hostage."
"What?" Ryder questioned.
"If I'm seen escaping with you, I'll be labeled a traitor," Leia explained. "You have to take me prisoner."
"Well, you better make it look good," Ezra said. "I'll warn Sabine."
Ezra does a signal causing Sabine to notice.
"We got two incoming," Sabine commented.
"What about Ezra, Mina and Kanan?" Zeb asked.
"They're the troopers on the left," Sabine responded.
Ryder shoved Kanan onto Ezra and Mina before grabbing Leia by the wrist and they run for the Ghost.
"Help! Help!" Leia shouted. "Commander!"
The other stormtroopers move in, but Kanan prevented them from doing so.
"Hold your fire!" Kanan ordered. "She's my responsibility! I'll get her back!"
"Kanan's coming," Ryder said. "He said to make it look good."
Zeb smirked and knocked out Kanan when he came forward.
"No, Zeb, wait!" Ezra protested. "Easy! That's Kanan!"
Zeb knocked out both Ezra and Mina as well.
"I know," Zeb said smugly.
Zeb dragged the unconscious trio onboard the Ghost causing two of the fighting stormtroopers to get surprised.
"They're taking prisoners?" A stormtrooper asked.
"They do that now?" The other stormtrooper questions.
As Zeb dragged them onto the Ghost, Lita managed to get herself and her own companions onto the ship without being seen or getting hit. Chopper, piloting the Phantom, destroyed Lyste's shuttle and followed the Ghost.
Inside the Ghost, Zeb was trying to get Kanan to wake up.
"Kanan!" Zeb said. "Wake up! Kanan! How's your face?"
"Why did you hit me?" Kanan asked.
"What?" Zeb chuckled. "You had a helmet on."
"Did you have to hit us so hard?" Ezra questioned with a frown while rubbing his jaw.
"Hey, you wanted it to look good," Zeb remarks.
"Still," Mina comments, while trying to massage her jaw.
"Do you need any help?" Lita offered, making her presence known."I do have bacta patches in my satchel."
When Zeb saw her he immediately pointed his bo-rifle at her. Rori was right next to Lita growling threateningly at the Lasat and D3PO was right behind her looking concerned.
"Cute toy," Lita smirked, "Want to see mine?" Lita pulled out her lightsaber from her hooded cloak and activated the red blade.
"How did you get on here?" Zeb demanded.
"I'm secretly an astromech droid," Lita answered, her voice laced with sarcasm, "Also if you try to shoot that at me, or my droid or my nexu, not only will I fight back but so will my nexu, she scratches and she bites."
Before Zeb could respond, Ezra spoke up, "Don't worry Zeb, she's with us."
"What?" Zeb growls, "You can't be serious."
"We are," Mina replied.
"It's true," Kanan said, "We found her while we were on Lothal."
"Well we can't trust her," Zeb stated.
"I honestly don't care if you trust me or not," Lita replied, "But you should know that if I wanted to cause any trouble for any of you I would've done it already by informing the Imperials back there of your intentions."
Kanan turned his attention to Zeb. "Where's the princess?" he demanded.
"In the cockpit with Hera," Zeb replied.
Back at the Garrison, one of the stormtroopers approached Lieutenant Lyste.
"We've completed our search of the transports and found no contraband," the stormtrooper stated.
"Very well, Corporal," Lieutenant Lyste said and answered his comlink that was beeping. "Yes?"
"Sir, my squad was ambushed by rebels." the deck stormtrooper reported. "They escaped with the fugitive Ryder Azadi."
"What?" Lieutenant Lyste asked.
"They also abducted two cadets." the deck stormtrooper added. "And some princess ambassador."
"She's under our protection," Lieutenant Lyste admitted. "Deploy search patrols, now!"
Meanwhile, inside the Ghost, Hera was talking with Ryder, while Mina left to speak with her mother.
"I owe you my life," Ryder admitted. "You have my gratitude."
"It's the least we could do after leading the Empire right to you," Hera responded.
Leia quietly followed the two adults before noticing Ezra talking with Zeb and Sabine along with Lita, who was keeping her distance from Zeb and Sabine. Like Zeb, Sabine didn't trust Lita at all, not that it bothered the blonde girl, who wasn't too fond of Sabine either. But Ezra stood up for her and told both Sabine and Zeb that she can be trusted and that she's already proven that she does have a good side to her. Deethreepio was powered down and Rori was resting.
"We heard what happened," Zeb said sadly. "Sorry, kid."
"Hey, at least now you know," Sabine commented.
Lita rolls her eyes, "Yeah like that makes it better," she whispers.
"Yeah," Ezra responded and walked away to the nose gun. "I guess I just need some time."
Leia looked at Kanan. "Is he all right?" Leia asked.
"He's okay," Kanan replied. "He just lost some people close to him. It's a challenge being his age with so much responsibility."
"I know that feeling," Leia admitted with a hint of sadness, remembering she was taught by her father Bail to appreciate the importance of her duties as the planet's eventual queen.
Kanan placed a comforting hand on Leia's shoulder. "Maybe he could use a friend," Kanan suggested.
Leia was about to walk up to Ezra, but then she saw that Lita and her nexu were already approaching Ezra. She decided to leave them alone for a little while.
Lita saw Ezra watching the hologram image of himself, as a young boy with his parents. She could feel his pain, his sorrow through the Force and saw he was crying a little. Lita walked closer to him and without saying anything she pulled Ezra into a tight embrace. Ezra didn't even protest or tried to fight it, but he slowly embraced back. Lita could feel her own tears running down her face. Rori offered her own comfort by licking Lita's face and then to Lita's own surprise Ezra's.
"Thanks," Ezra said stroking Rori's head, "For that."
"I'm really sorry about your parents, Ezra," Lita said softly.
"It's not your fault," Ezra said.
"My situation maybe different from yours, but I know a thing or two about lost," Lita remarks sadly.
"It's just there's so much against us," Ezra admits, "It makes me wonder if it's even worth fighting for."
"My mother had days like that," Lita told him. "But she always kept holding onto what she believed in and kept fighting for those who cannot. I guess in that way you're like her."
"Your mother?" Ezra asks, now looking at her.
"She died after I was born," Lita said grimly, "She was a queen and a senator from Naboo, which is where I'm from."
Ezra frowned at what Lita said. If she was from Naboo, then why was she with Darth Vader when they first saw her?
"Although I never got to know my mother, I know the person who she was, because my family would tell me of her when I was growing up," Lita tells Ezra, "And Aunt Sola would sometimes tell me that the things we have lost have a way of coming back to us."
Ezra gave a small smile at that. He then asks her, "What about your father?"
Lita gave a deep frown. "It's a long and complicated story."
"I've got some time," Ezra assures her, "But if you're uncomfortable talking about it I understand."
"No. No, you stood up for me and defended me from your friends back there. I think I can at least trust you," Lita decides, "But you have to promise me that you'll keep it a secret, don't even tell your master."
Ezra nods, "I promise."
After making sure that nobody could hear them and that they were alone, Lita began telling him. "You know Darth Vader?"
"Yes." Ezra answers, "I know that he was the Sith Lord we faced on Lothal, which was also when we first met."
"Was there any other time you and your friends faced him?" Lita asks curiously.
"No. Why do you care so much?" Ezra asked wanting to know what she was doing with him.
Lita clears her throat before telling him. "He's my father."
Ezra's eyes widen in shock at what she said, "What?!" Ezra exclaims.
"He and my mother..." Lita began but Ezra interrupts.
"Yeah, I know. But, are you sure?" Ezra asks.
"Yeah," Lita said grimly. "He told me after he took me from Naboo. After I was born and my mother died I was given to my family on Naboo. I was fourteen when my father found me, it happened when I was visiting my mother's grave. After he took a blood sample from me, he returned to take me away and that's how I ended up where I was."
"What about your family on Naboo?" Ezra asks curiously.
"I...I don't know," Lita answers with sadness and worry, "But I hope they're okay."
So yeah, Lita told Ezra, who her daddy was. But don't worry Ezra will keep her secret safe. I also decided that Lita is the one who has a heart to heart talk with Ezra, instead of Leia like in the show, because I feel like they have more of a connection. So until then, May the Force be with You!
