Sorry I've been away from this story for a while, I was having trouble with writing this chapter and I got more focused on my other stories.
Jedha
After a few more days of rest Lita finally recovered well enough to begin her training with Quinlan Vos. The Kiffar Jedi still wasn't entirely sure if he was ready to teach the young girl, he did well with Aayla Secura, but Lita was different from her. But Quinlan remembered something, while he was a Jedi he for a period of time ended up giving into the darkside and became Dooku's apprentice, until his love interest, Asaji Ventress, sacrificed herself for him and he returned to the light side. Vos realized that all of this confusion and self-doubt would only lead him astray and he couldn't continue to be led away from the path. Then a quote he always said to Aayla came to his mind, which made him close his eyes. "Only when the eyes are closed can you truly see."
As his eyes opened, a smile came to his face. He held out his hand and said, "We will begin your Jedi training immediately."
Lita smiles and takes his hand, and then she nods, "Yes, Master."
"But let me ask you, what do you know of the Force?" Quinlan asks.
"Only what my father told me," Lita answers. "Oh and before I was taken from Naboo I found a book about the Jedi and it did talk about the Force, but my father took it away when he took me and I don't remember much of it."
"And what did your father tell you?" Quinlan questions.
"It's an energy field created by all life that bounds everything in the galaxy together and that it's all encompassing, it surrounds and penetrates us. There's light and darkness," Lita said and adds, "And that I'm too stubborn to realize my potential in the Force and that I must give myself to the darkside of the Force."
Quinlan gives a smile chuckling a little and nods, "I see."
"Oh and Qui-gon, did you know him?" Lita asked, just thought of the Jedi.
"Yes, but unfortunately not too well," answers Quinlan, "Because I was never much of a temple Jedi. Why do you ask?"
"I've talked to him, I mean he was dead I know he was killed, but he was a spirit," Lita tried to explained.
"I'm not surprised to hear this," Vos responds.
"You're not?" Lita asks.
"No," Vos answered, "The Force works in mysterious ways as his spirit became part of it."
With the ere of the Empire, Quinlan knew he had to be discreet, but Vos had a plan, he always had one. He told Lita more about the Force, the light and the dark side, as he knew that Lita would need to learn both. Quinlan told Lita that the dark side wasn't necessarily bad, unless it was utilize by evil.
Quinlan also had no intention of telling Lita to let go of her attachment to her father. What good would that do? As Master Vos was one of the very few Jedi who knew attachments make a Jedi stronger and Lita seemed very determined to help her father.
They then landed on the planet Jedha, which was currently a barren landscape where the Jedi used to be. Jedha City was considered a scrum ridden hellscape, but Quinlan had no interest in that. He took Lita to a sight of a nearly 400 year old battle, that had happen in the era of the High Republic, which was the Battle of Jedha.
"What is this place?" Lita asked in awe.
"This is where an old battle took place many years ago," Quinlan explains, "This is also where the old Jedi's outpost once stood before the fall. However there are some very important pieces of Jedi history that has been left behind that is concealed in this wreckage."
"How do you know Master?" Lita asks, "I don't mean to sound like I'm doubting you."
"No need to apologize, young one," Quinlan reassures her, "It's because after my struggles on Boz Pity, during Order 66, I came here to try and understand everything that had happen during that time."
The two of them then snuck through the secret crack created by Quinlan made to enter the former Jedi Outpost. When they entered they saw that the interior was sculpted like it was built in rocks. The halls were tall and massive and they were incredible to Lita's eyes.
"Wow Master this is incredible," Lita said in awe, "I can't believe I never got to see this."
"I doubt your father would've wanted you to go any place of the Jedi," Quinlan responds.
Quinlan then brought Lita to a small section and said, "Sit down." Lita did as she was told and sat down with Quinlan.
Quinlan was going to make sure while training Lita that there would be no surprises and he would communicate openly and frequently with his student.
