Keigo Phantom
Chapter One
Chapter Three: takes me out to the ball game
Keigo felt his breath get cold as the person who asked him about the baseball wasn't right. There was strangeness in the air and Keigo could feel it. The young half-ghost teen stood in his spot unaware of what to do.
Striker stared at the young teen for a while, now rolling his eyes, having an annoyed look on his face. Keigo gave a nervous look, noticing the man's oddly green appearance.
"Come on man, can I have my ball back," Striker asked. Keigo didn't want to be mean or rude so he gently tossed it back. So the moment he tossed it back in his black hoodie, moved slightly and Striker was able to see Keigo's glowing green eyes. The baseball player's ghost gave a soft chuckle.
"You know I wasn't expecting new faces to be here already. I guess the word must've gotten out in the ghost world uh,"
"What's your name slick? Oh geez, you look pretty fresh when you die," Striker said. Keigo had a nervous gulp seeing this strange man.
"Was this guy a ghost? He reminded me of the spirits I saw on the street, but he has no chain?" Keigo thought, but he was wary of this new person right now, unsure if he was a danger. Striker could see the fear and gave a silent cough to clear his voice.
"Relax, I'm not gonna hurt you, kid," Striker said as he walked forward to Keigo. The young teen was nervous and didn't quite understand what was gonna happen, though the more he got closer to the ghost, there was an odd familiarity about him.
"Uh yeah," Keigo said.
"So how long have you been dead?" Striker asked nonchalantly where he was from; it was a completely normal question to ask. Keigo nervously pulled on his collar.
"Well, it's sort of complicated I mean yes, and uh," Keigo could see his answer was making the ghost baseball player confused.
"Okay, I died yesterday then," Keigo said. Striker nodded and was pondering at Keigo.
"And let me guess you went through the strange green portal as I did?" Striker asked. Keigo didn't want to share any personal info. This person seemed very intimidating not to mention it was like a part of Keigo could feel some anger in this Striker.
"Well yeah, I did see the green floating portal of terror Of course how could I miss it?" Keigo said, trying to act cool. Striker wasn't bothered by this strange attitude, especially when the ghost Stonehouse had so many deranged and kooky ghosts it was the normal ones that tended to freak them out. However, the couple instances of meeting the box ghost did leave a sour taste in his mouth.
"Listen, I'll be honest with you, keep that portal to yourself. Many undesirables in that world should stay there," Striker informed, not wanting to scare the kid but needing him to keep his mouth shut.
"From where?" Keigo asked. This made Striker express a suspicious look.
"Wow you don't even know where you came from OK I understand it was your first day but I'm surprised nobody told you anything," Striker said as he rubbed his face, knowing that he was going to have to explain. "You came from The ghost world, that infinite world of terror, all right That's where a lot of people go to die,"
"Wait really?" Keigo asked.
"Look at as much as I want to help you. You're probably gonna need to move from this area pretty quick because I'm gonna level this place into rubble," Striker said as he quickly picked up the ball from the ground and looked at the town ahead.
"Aw what?" Keigo said in shock. Striker had a nonchalant luck as he gazed at the young teen.
"Yeah, this whole place is coming down, the buildings, the school and I'm going to level this town, so you might want to skedaddle along to the next one, so you might have a place to call home, but hey, look on the bright side second day of being dead, and you're already in the human world. That's amazing as no other ghost has been in the human world for a very long while." Striker said. Keigo's thinking had stopped as he had to process what was just said to him.
"What about all the people and their families?" Keigo asked in a worried voice.
"They're going to be fine," Striker said. Keigo took a sigh of relief.
"Because they're gonna be dead!" He said without a care in the world.
"What!" Keigo shouted it in pure shock.
"Stop it, Why are you even acting like this, It's not a big surprise anyway we're ghosts You can do anything you want kid," Striker said pointing his thumb at himself. "That's a perk of being dead,"
Striker began to walk away from Keigo and was left in complete utter shock. Though he shook his head trying to think that it wasn't possible.
"Come on what is this guy even talking about, he's just one guy what can he even do, heck I bet Ichigo could kick his ass," Keigo thought. This was just a normal ghost that could only do so much, What would Striker even do to scare people wherever it was, It wouldn't work for long. The police could help out with stopping this guy, something he didn't have to worry about.
While Keigo was making a fool of himself across the riverbed, Striker floated to the other side he took a deep breath and glanced at three stroy bundling it looked to be closed but that wouldn't stop Striker, he slowly got into a pitcher stance, and when he threw the ball it left his fingers at blazing speeds, Keigo was blinded by a bright light and flung to the ground by a great force of air. Keigo slowly recovered his vision, though when he could see clearly, Keigo's jaw dropped seeing the bundling that Striker threw his ball at was destroyed. The rumble scorched and brunt as Striker stood unfazed. Keigo shakily stood up at the site not understanding what happened.
"What happened?" Keigo asked in a whisper. Striker quickly floated by Keigo and took a deep breath as he slowly walked towards the city. Keigo wanted to speak out to stop him but his leg wouldn't move at all.
"Times are changing kid, I rather fade away or make this world yours, sitting on your ass won't do anything," Striker said as he slowly walked into the quiet town of Karakura. While Keigo was too scared to even move. That fear slowly controlled him as turned back to normal. Keigo was too afraid to do anything.
"What do I even do?" Keigo said.
There was a tall, muscular man with sharp features, short light-gray/silver hair, and brown eyes. He wears a dark purple A-shirt with white trim, in addition to green cargo pants, black combat boots, and a pair of orange fingerless gloves. He also has a series of piercings, with one on his left eyebrow and three on his left ear.
This man is Kensei and right now unfortunately he drew the short end of the stick of picking up the groceries for the rest of the Vizards. A group of soul reapers that have been outcasted from unfortunate events. However, right now Kensei was the group's food and not having a fun time because he lacked a helping hand. He remains silent trying to balance all the lunch boxes in his arms.
"It's on them if their food gets cold!" Kensei said.
He didn't mind living in squabble but knowing that the one who wronged them was still out in freedom while they hid made his blood boil he would have to wait and keep his trust in Kisuke. Still, Kensei wished he had more hands, that's right, still thinking about how he was short-handed.
Walking down the street while many people were still out and about. Though Kensei didn't care, he just kept walking to the hideout. The chatter and small talk filled the roads.
Then the sound of a loud explosion disrupted the peace. The masses screamed in terror as a giant explosion happened down the road. Kensei could be a giant dust cloud in the sky, he felt no large spiritual energy, so this probably wasn't a hollow man-made accident, but it wasn't his duty to solve it. Then his eyes caught on the sky seeing many hollows flying away only for them to be shot down by green energy blasts. Though now it had become his problem. He gently put the food down and marched forward. Kensei could hear the sound of mad laughter. Even the glow of bright flames seems to spread.
Kensei finally reached the source of all this chaos and what he saw made the veteran soul reaper pause. They're a man of spectral green standing with a ghoulish smile. The spirit energy in the area felt warped like it was being disturbed.
Kensei was at a loss for words not knowing what he was looking at. He questioned whether or not he should even do anything. What are you risking blowing his cover and risking his comrades ' lives as well?
"Hey, you stop right there!" A voice called out in the sky above. Kensai sneaks into a shadowy alleyway. A muscular Soul Reaper of tall stature with dark brown hair, brown eyes, and thick eyebrows. His hair is uniquely combed into an Afro which is also the source of his nickname. In addition, he possesses thick sideburns. He wears the standard shihakushō like many other Shinigami. Kensei wondered if this poor sap was out of his league. Keigo was following quietly behind not sure what to think as well, he also hoped some big tough guy would come around the corner and knock some sense into Striker but he hated seeing the screaming people and damage being done, it was wrong.
The Soul Reaper pointed at Striker with his out sword.
"In the name of the soul society I order you to stop this now," He called out. Striker didn't even bat an eye as he grabbed his baseball bat and swung at the top of a bundling blowing it up.
"Hey you, Stop this!" The Soul Reaper said. Striker gritted his teeth and finally acknowledged the person with an annoyed glance.
"What!" Striker asked like this person was asking him at the wrong time.
"Listen to me now spirit I am Zennosuke Kurumadani, a member of the Soul Society and in the 13 division, You will cease this destruction and turn yourself in," Zennosuke said with a nervous smile. Striker rubbed his forehead and scrunched his face. Keigo was also confused at the site.
"What's a soul reaper?" Keigo thought. Zeenosuke found himself baffled at the person in front of him.
"What the heck are you, look at yourself and that gross green color, you need to take more pride in your health. What the heck are you even doing In a city like this, not to mention you giving me the creeps and talking about ugly!" Zeenosuke said.
"Listen dude a lot of new names are being thrown at me and I don't care about your life story and that, So…" Striker trailed off sarcastically. "Piss off,"
Zennosuke smiled as performed a flash step and appeared right in front of Striker, Zennosuke then put the butt of his handle and jabbed on Striker's forehead. Zennosuke smiled as he knew this was the end of sending a soul to the Soul Society. Keigo was in awe seeing how the man moved in faster than the eye, he wondered what the Soul Society was but maybe he could approach this guy after.
"I send you to the Soul Society restless fiend," Zennosuke said with a hint of pride.
However, a grueling minute seemed to pass, with Striker still here. Zennosuke mouth gaped and opened to the world of pain yet to come.
Striker grabbed Zennosuke's arm that held his Zanpakutō, Zennosuke felt every bone in his wrist break as the soul reaper was brought to his knees. Zennosuke cried tears of pain as he tried to free himself of this iron grip. Striker got close to Zennosuke's face and was livid.
"It appears people today have a hearing problem so let me help you, PISS OFF!" Striker yelled as he threw Zennosuke so hard he caved into a car, the only part showing was his arm sticking out of the gray smoke. Keigo and Kensei were in shock at the strength displayed for them. This was no man, this being belonged to the supernatural and Kensei thought this was strange but debated whether or not to go.
"Well that happened, eh Soul Society? Hollows? what are people smoking nowadays, Whelp! back to taking this town down."
The sound of feet scuttling along caught his attention, and he saw a homeless man at the wrong place at the wrong time. Keigo's heart skipped a beat knowing what was going to happen.
"No," Keigo whispered. Skriter wanted to spread his fear but had to get his message out, so no one would forget his name. He would paint this town red if he had to. Head his glowing green baseball in hand and ready,
"You know who I am old man?" Striker asked. Their hope in it wanting to give the right answers so he could spare this poor man.
"No,' The homeless said in a shaking voice. Keigo wanted to move but he was so scared, his hand gripped the wall he hid behind.
"Sorry pal wrong place," Striker said. The moment Striker took a step he felt the presence of another. Right now spiritual pressure was being brought down, to the eyes of the awakened, you would see a rain of gray but to a ghost-like Stiker, it was nothing as around him that grey warped into green. Keigo could feel it too and thought it tickled.
"If you want a real challenge then face me!"
Skriter turned to his left to see Kensei standing with his blade out and ready. His strong face showed he was prepared for battle.
"You gonna give your shtick like the last guy?" Striker asked only to be met with a punch so fast it cracked the sound barrier. Striker was sent back slamming into the wall and fell to the ground kneeling on the sidewalk. Kensei cracked his knuckles and pulled out a small combat knife. Keigo felt as if he were watching an epic cut sense to one of his RPG games. Keigo thought this guy was so tough he could take Ichigo on. Kensei stared bloody daggers at the man Kensei's stoic eyes locked onto Striker like a wolf was on its prey. Striker got up unfazed and rolled his shoulder getting ready.
"Not bad, what are they feeding people nowadays," Striker rubbed his jaw but there was no damage to the skin or bruising at all. "God you hit like a truck,"
"I'm gonna hit you a lot harder if you don't knock it off!" Kensei warned as he got into a combat stance. " What the hell is this thing it took my punch like I was some dumb kid, I don't even feel any spiritual energy in this guy, it is almost impossible to sense,"
"Fine, Names Striker if you cared, you brought this on yourself," Striker said as his baseball floated in the air only to shape and form into a green glowing slime. That polymorphed into a green glowing bat, the glowing had stopped showing it was made out of hard green steel. Kensei held his guard, he didn't want to attack not knowing who he was facing so playing defense would give him the better information needed to beat whatever this thing was.
Striker lunched forward his baseball bat coming down right towards Kensei.
Kensei held up his arm to catch the attack, to him all her could see was a rookie attack he could block, and this fight would be over. "I can put him in a Kido bind and call Kisuke to figure out what this guy was," Kensei thought, just seeing this being of green made him have a chill in his spine like what was happening right here wasn't natural.
"I hope you like the taste of your blood!" Striker yelled. Bringing his bat down right towards. Kensei was ready to easily disarm Striker. Kensei dogged out of the bat's way and grabbed its handle, the moment he touched it, he felt the air as the bat vanished in a second only to reappear past Kensei's hand and hit the floor smashing it to bits. Striker was now wide open for an attack being that he put a lot into that attack.
Kensei deviled a powerful punch at Striker only for his opponent to disappear before he could hit Striker. The Soul Reaper was shocked and didn't know what happened. Though Keigo knew as he could see what had happened. The attack Kensei tried missed when Striker became intangible. In Keigo's eyes, he could see the outline of Striker as he had an evil smile on his face seeing Kensei's confusion. Keigo could see how lost Kensei was and couldn't stand by anymore.
"He's right in front of you, look out!" Keigo yelled out. Kensei turned around to see Keigo call long out to him but when he turned to face his direction. Striker appeared and had his bat ready swinging right at Kensei.
Kensei raised his left arm to block the attack. There was no time to evade; he had to block it. This was his training kicking in.
"I'll be fine, my spiritual pressure should deflect it, I can't even sense anything off him,"
Only three words could describe what happened to Kensi In the next few seconds and that was Snap, Crackle, and Pop.
Kensei felt his forearm shatter and break as his broken limb cushioned his head from the bat but the force of the attack had punched his body into the ground making a crater in the road his body became a rag doll as soon as he hit the ground. Keigo was shocked at what happened, he wanted to help but his moves couldn't move.
Striker quickly glanced at Keigo, the young teen quickly hit behind the corner, his bones shaking at the very idea of being pummeled. The ghost baseball player shook his head.
"I'll get to you later but as for you," Striker glanced down at Kensei seeing he was crawling on the floor before him. Striker glanced at the man and took a deep breath.
"Do you know who I am?" He asked. Kensei spat at the rubble beneath him. Striker angrily favored his eyes and tapped his bat onto Kensei's head.
Striker lifted his bat high up in the air then before he could do it Kensei slammed his palm into Striker's chest.
"Way of Binding No. 62 Hundred Stepped Rail!" Kensei yelled as his palm was glowing and Implied Skriker with a glowing white bar that stabbed through his chest, Striker's eyes widened as Hundreds More of the glowing dull bars were heading his way. The Ghost quickly turned intangible as the bar of lights passed through his body. Keigo took cover as some of the bars almost hit him, though he was lucky as they dogged him and stabbed the ground. Kensei flash stepped back to make some distance between himself and Striker who had reappeared, the light bar inside Striker's chest, he slowly pulled it out holding in a grunt of discomfort. He pulled the long white stick of energy as it was covered in a green slime the hole in Striker's chest slowly closed up. Striker turned to face Kensei with a face of complete confusion.
"What was that!" He yelled in anger, Kensei was sweating nervously as Skriker acted as if nothing had happened. Kensei held his good arm up holding his Zanpakuto up getting ready for the next attack. He coughed a mist of blood as he could feel himself getting tired. Kensei had to buy time, with the amount of spiritual pressure he was giving off Shinj would surely notice. Kensei stands up straight and holds his Shikai proudly.
"I can't touch him with my attacks or Kidō so what's the point, I was able to catch him off guard but that fatal attack did nothing. It feels like this guy just shrugging off most of my attacks, what's the point? if my Bankai can't even make contact for a few minutes," Kensei thought as his eyes narrowed on Keigo who was hiding behind a corner watching the fight. "And what's his deal, he must be in the same boat as the man I'm fighting with, damn it hurry up guys,"
"I'll give you credit you sure are giving me a hard time," Kensei admitted. Striker had no more patience for this banter it was time for this man to die. Skriker flew at Kensei his bat ready to kill Kensei, He struck at Kensei but dodged the attack. Stiker aimed for Kensei's leg which Kensei lept into the air now standing above the ground. Striker missed his attack but pointed his other finger at Kensei, A bright beam of green light blasted from his fingertip. Kensei narrowly got away but now knew one advantage he had. Kensei was faster so he would use this to his full abilities. Using his skill and speed, Kensei sends a flurry of punches right at Skriker's chest.
However, the moment Kensei got more than two punches at Skriker, The ghost would vanish into the air. Keigo quickly popped out of his corner and pointed his finger behind Kensei, with a gut of courage he would not see this man who was trying to protect people die.
"He's right behind you!" Keigo yelled. Kensei took the chance and knowing the last time this kid was right, trusted him. In a split second, Kensei felt someone behind him, not sensing him with spiritual power but having that instinct that someone was there. Kensei ducked around and stabbed Striker right in his heart, the short blade thunked deep into Striker. The Ghost baseball player's eyes were wide as he slowly looked down at the blade in his chest. Then he gazed behind at Kensei, Striker's eyes were locked on Keigo who was out in the open, there was an expression of betrayal on Striker's face. Keigo could feel that pain was on him.
"I guess you found your side," Striker said but Kensei pushed the blade deeper into the ghost, Striker felt a massive amount of pain as he arched his back. Kensi tried to push the blade deep, attempting to push Striker to his knees but the ghost stood defiant against the soul reaper. Not going down or moving an inch.
"This stops now," Kensei grunted in tireless breaths.
Striker let out a chuckle as green ectoplasm leaked from the corner of his lips.
Kensei felt a chill run up his spine, not even hollows got under his skin like this. Striker slowly pushed himself further, letting the knife sink deeper into him, but allowing him to get close to Kensei's ear.
"You know it's hard to kill a dead guy right?" He said sarcastically. Kensei didn't understand and drove the blade deeper trying to bring Striker closer to death but it seemed to be ineffective. Then he felt a great amount of pain in his lower stomach, Kensei's blood trickled out of his nose and mouth he looked down to see, Striker's bat impaled deep in his gut. He felt no stabbing or pushing on his skin from the baseball bat. It had just appeared there and ripped his delicate flesh apart for two objects could not occupy the same space. That unfortunate truth led to Kensei having a baseball bat impale his gut.
"What are you?" Kensei choked out as he could feel the air leave his lungs.
"Isn't it obvious I'm a ghost," Striker answered with a happy smear.
Kensei's grip on his blade was lost as his eyes fluttered closed and fell backward, to the concrete ground.
"No, I can't fall, until we beat Aizen…" Kensei fell but not before seeing Keigo was in absolute horror at what he watched. Keigo didn't like what he watched, he despised it. It was worse. All of this was his doing; Keigo cursed at himself and felt like this was his fault before he could dwell on it any longer he watched what Striker did next.
Striker glanced at his chest and tried to pull the blade.
"Oh jeez, you got in there Ow!" Finally, he pulled out the bald and glared at it, tossing it onto Kensei's unconscious body. "Sorry pal, that's how the afterlife goes."
Striker pointed his finger at Kensei's body and the tip of his finger began to illuminate with a green light. Keigo realized what was going to happen next and ran towards Kensei and held his hand up in a pleading manner.
"Wait, stop! you don't have to do this, please just stop the violence!" Keigo yelled in a hysteric tone of voice. Striker only had an expression of utter disappointment.
"Listen, this is a dog-eat-dog world and right now choose your side!" Striker yelled his voice being loud as thunder. Keigo for once raised his voice and yelled back despite his fears.
"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!" Keigo yelled. He gazed around at all the destruction. "This is just mindless violence how many people are going to get hurt by this so-called silly vendetta, this man is about to die."
Striker took a deep breath and raised his arms out in an intimidating manner. "There's a new era approaching the door is finally opened to those who were wronged in this life, we can take what was rightfully ours and rule this world! Can't you see the ones who were forgotten in the background never to be seen, or heard from again? It is our time to take this world back. You know what I mean, don't you?"
Keigo would never agree and narrowed his eyes at the baseball player, his fist gripping so hard that they were on the verge of his nails, drawing blood from his palm.
"You may be silent, but your eyes tell me your answer, yo your one of us the shit shovelers, who tried their hardest only for life to be put down like dogs, I know you probably blend in with any average man nothing special or unique about him so you try to stand out and it works for a bit but sooner or later they'll forget about you, and you'll be me, you said you'll have great friends, but when they're off being stars, you'll be nothing forgotten and a faded memory," Striker said his voice trailing off to a very somber sadness. Only to quickly regain his composure and look at Keigo with stone-cold malice eyes.
"You're with us, or you take from others like them," Striker said. Keigo held his tongue and turned to be anything like this man. He was happy and had friends and if they moved on with their lives, and we're happy, that's good for them but he wouldn't turn into a sad decrepit thing dwelling on the good things that happened.
"So what's your answer ball boy?" Striker asks his voice borderlining into a threatening tone. His bat raised and pointed at the young teen waiting for his answer. Keigo thought deeply that in another life he would have been groveling on his knees but this time he wouldn't show any fear. Keigo himself, and never thought he would ever be able to make an expression like this.
Keigo put on a brave front and glared at Striker, he took a nervous gulp and spoke.
"No, I won't join you," Keigo simply stated. Striker nodded at Keigo's answer, oddly showing some expression of respect. However, it didn't stop him from raising his green back into the air, preparing for a very hard strike.
"You stuck to your guns, even though you were terrified, you know what you wanted, not many people do that, but before I kill you, may I ask you a question?" Striker asked.
"It doesn't seem like I have a choice, but go ahead," Keigo said, a little afraid of what was going to come next.
"Do you know who I truly am?" Striker asked. Keigo remained silent like it was his answer. The striker raised his bat and swung down right at Keigo's head.
"You are Shinzo Striker, pitcher and home hitter to the MAD tigers," Keigo said, racing his head and holding a smile on his face. The bat stopped an inch above his head upon hearing that information. Striker slowly put the bat to his side.
"You know who I am?" He asked in the hope of wanting some form of recognition. Keigo nodded and kept his smile.
"Of course, I know who you are. I used to be a fan when I was little. I used to watch your games on tape when I was kid, I wanted to play but I never got on the team, the truth was, I was never that" Keigo admitted. Striker was so lost at those words that somehow he was known by someone. It touched him that he was still remembered but that person who remembered was gone and was dead like him. Striker didn't feel like fighting anymore and lowered his head. Keigo had a pleading look on his face.
"You don't wanna do this anymore I can see it on your face, so please Shinzo, please put the bat down," Keigo asked.
there was a long moment of silence between the two, but in the end, Keigo could still see that hunger of destruction in the ghost's eyes. Striker still wanted Retribution and he had already gone too far. He couldn't turn back now. Before any word could be spoken the two felt that gray color rain down on them but we were unfazed by it.
They heard the noise of a tapping cane approaching them.
"I'm sorry but they have to pay," Those were Striker's last words before he vanished, and flew away in his intangible form.
Keigo quickly shifted his attention toward Kensei seeing the man was bleeding out, he quickly put pressure on his wound and tried to figure out how to stop the bleeding.
The blood getting over his hands and recklessly the young teenager rubbed it all over himself. Keigo felt tears Tearing up in his eyes, knowing that he would've been responsible for this man's death. Then the tapping of the cane stopped.
"Well well, what do we have here?"
Keigo had turned around seeing a tall, lean man with light skin and gray eyes. His hair is messy and light-blond almost pale, with strands framing the sides of his face and hanging between his eyes, and he has chin stubble. He wears a dark green Samue. Over this, he wears a black Haori, which sports a white diamond pattern along its bottom half, reminiscent of an inverted captain's Haori. Urahara carries a fan, which he occasionally uses to hide his face. He usually wears traditional wooden sandals and a striped dark green and white bucket hat which was shadowing his eyes. Keigo was relieved that someone was there. Still holding pressure on Kensei's wound. Urahara's calm face changed into shock, seeing the sense that he walked into. Though seeing his injured friend was scary, it wasn't as bad as seeing Keigo's green glowing eyes. Urahara felt his inner scientist scheme to study this person but now was not the time. Seeing how this person was trying to help, he had to rely on instinct alone to trust this unknown entity, Urahara couldn't see much of Keigo's face being that it was obscured by his hoodie.
Keigo was pushed back by this man and watched as he mumbled something under his breath and applied a healing spell, His hand glowing with green energy. Keigo tried to think of something to say but couldn't.
Just then Keigo felt the presence of seven appear around him, He noticed the people around him all sharing horrified looks at the body. One girl ran over as tears leaked from her face. She had the appearance of a young woman with hazel eyes. She wears a white bodysuit with orange gloves, boots, and a scarf, along with a set of goggles atop her lime-green hair. Her overall style of dress is reminiscent of the costumes worn by the Tokusatsu superheroes in late 1970s Japanese television shows.
"Kensei," She screamed in horror. Then a large man and a rotund man. He wears an olive-green tuxedo with a yellow bow tie. He has golden eyes, a pink mustache, and pink hair with a black cross-bone design in the center. He hovered his hands over Kensei's body and an orange light box. Keigo's eyes turned around to see the others.
There was a man who had brown eyes and jaw-length blonde hair with a straight cut and many of his facial expressions revealed his upper teeth. While attempting to recruit Ichigo, he wears a standard Karakura school uniform, though he usually wears trousers, shirt, and tie, often supplemented by a newsboy cap and long coat. Shinji appears to have a round ring pierced in the middle of his tongue
Another is a tall Visored with brown eyes and a thick black spiked afro which adds further to his above-average height. Love sports a green jogging suit and wears mirrored sunglasses at all times.
By that man was another who had purple eyes, long, wavy, blond hair, and a perpetually bored expression. Rose wears a black suit with a thigh-length, black jacket. He also wears a white frilled shirt with frilled cuffs (or large cuffs) and a high collar, which he commonly keeps untucked.
There was a very short, brown-eyed, blonde-haired girl who wore her short hair in spiky pigtails with her bangs clipped together by three clips. She wears a white shirt and a red jogging suit, the latter with white lines running down from the shoulders and decorated with the first kanji of her name, as well as yellow flip-flops. Hiyori carries her Zanpakutō over her back. On each cheek, under each of her eyes, she has three freckles. She has an overly long fang protruding from the upper left side of her mouth.
There was a very large man, Hachi is a very large and rotund man. He wears an olive-green tuxedo with a yellow bow tie. He has golden eyes, a pink mustache, and pink hair with a black cross-bone design in the center.
Lisa's appearance is of a young adult woman with turquoise eyes, red oval glasses, and long black hair. Her hair has bangs in the front and she keeps the back in a braided ponytail. She dresses in a long-sleeved sailor Fuku, with a teal green/blue collar and matching pleated miniskirt that ends at her stomach, complete with a pink neckerchief. Keigo held in a gulp seeing how all of them were staring at him.
"I'm Keigo, please you got to get this guy help!" Keigo said. None of these strange people said a word ket their sword drawn already was their answer. Keigo took a step back but the man in the strange hat stepped forward. Between the group and Keigo.
"Please let's not race to conclusions, it seems we are all on bit on edge," The strange man faced Keigo and gave a goofy grin. "My name is Kisuke Urahara and you seem to be spooked, Why don't you come with us and you can explain everything to us,"
"What? No look I didn't do anything-," Keigo was cut off by the small blonde.
"You take us for fools, you covered in our comrade's blood, Come Shinji let's kill this punk," She screamed. Shinji the tall blonde stepped forward and narrowed his at her.
"Cool it Hiyori, just keep an eye on Spooky here," Shinji said. Though his eyes were stabbing at Keigo seeing that he was covered in Kensei blood. Lisa held her blade up and Love looked down upon Keigo. He didn't know what was happening all he wanted to do was go home. Kisuke could see the tension was bundling into a brawl but this Keigo didn't seem like a fighter, something was wrong, and the lack of Reiryoku ponited to something else.
"Mr. Keigo I understand but you have to come with us, seeing how the sense we stumbled on Keigo, doesn't favor your image," Kisuke said trying to use the diplomatic choice. There was no need to shed any more blood or glowing green blood which was also on the floor.
"I didn't do this but the guy who did is still out there!" Keigo yelled taking a step back. The blood on his hand splatted on the rocks by Kensei's body the lime green-haired girl's head peeked up seeing Keigo, Her eyes narrowed as she slowly stood up, her face showing nothing but pure anger. "You did this," She said in a cold heartless voice. Shinji picked up on his comrade's killer aura directed at Keigo.
"Mashiro's cool it," Shinji yelled only for his demand to fall defy on Mashiro's ears.
Mashiro dragged the air over her face, and dark energy flowed over her face, forming a white hollow mask over Mashiro's face. Keigo felt a sense of fear seeing that emotionless mask but he could see her eyes behind that mask. Her white mask looked like a white hornet. Those empty dark pits and yellow rings sacred him. She zoomed right toward her fist ready to tear him into Keigo. All of them reached out for Mashiro to stop but Keigo's fear overwhelmed him and his intangibility activated. Mashiro's fist hit the road causing a massive creature, Mashiro fell to the ground and held herself up on the broken road. All of them were in utter confusion. Shinji could feel no spiritual pressure at all, it was like this mystery person had vanished. All of them were staring at the ground at where he was and didn't know what to say.
Masahiro's fist tightened on the ground, thinking that the culprit who did this to her close friend had escaped. None of them were able to see the stranger's face. However, Kisuke did remember him something important.
"Hmm Keigo what a familiar name," Kisuke said stroking his chin as the sound of rain approached them
Keigo was running so fast and scared back to his house, that he would've been seen as a blur if anyone could've seen him at all. All that mattered was getting home, yet feelings of regret and disparate flowed within his heart that carefree smile he would always wear was gone. He ran until face fazed through the door not wanting to face anybody, he faced his room, and only when Keigo finally reached his room, all feeling to leave his body, and collapsed on his wooden floor.
Kiego transformed back into himself, now wearing his normal clothes, and was taking deep breaths to not panic. Tears started to appear in his eyes as he started to sadly choke, blaming himself for the damage and harm done today. The people who were hurt were in his hands.
"If I hadn't been screwing around that machine I could have had a normal life. But I ended up destroying more and when that man was injured and I did nothing, NOTHING, I'm not a man, I'm a spineless shit who my friend thinks I'm a joke!" Keigo thought as he curled up on the floor and gritted his teeth, wanting his normal life back now. Keigo's thoughts of blame had led to thinking about Striker, Keigo sat up and stared out the window now hit with a pang of guilt knowing that psycho wasn't going to stop until the town was red. Keigo held his head down and slowly gazed up at the site of the city.
"I was the only one who could see him," Keigo said out loud, this was his mistake and most importantly, his very fault. Taking a deep breath he had to find a way to stop this man or else more people could get hurt, even the worst possible situation would be even his loved ones getting in the way of harm. Keigo's eyes glowed with a green determination.
"Striker, I'm going to take you down," Keigo said as he quickly walked back to his computer and began preparing for battle. If any outsider who knew cargo firsthand could see him now they would say that was the first time they ever saw him take something so serious.
Striker was on the field and staring at the town from a far distance, a Clicked's teeth, and tapped as bad as he humped his favorite song as the weather worsened, and the thunderstruck ever louder
"Take me out to the ball game. Take me out with the crowd; buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks, I don't care if I never get back…." Striker took a long pause and picked up his bat and took a sad sigh. There was a moment, just a tiny moment of regret. He slowly looked back at the city and those good memories slowly vanished as he continued to sing
"Let me route, route, route for the home team if they don't win, it's a shame." Striker continued to sing but started tapping his baseball bat right at the beat of the song. "For it's one, two, three strikes you're dead and that's the old ball game,"
Hey this was Keigo Phantom Chapter 3 So tell me your thoughts, this chapter was mostly to show how dangerous a ghost can be and in the next chapter there be some explanation about the difference between spiritual energy and ectoplasm, will Keigo man up and take on Stiker, yeah he will, we all know it by now. So after making this chapter, I have to say making the fight scene was a blast, Also, the reason why the ghosts are so tough, is you have to think about the show, they use a lot of anit ghost equipment. It's easy to fight Superman when you carry kryptonite. Also, Keigo will have his own special powers, but that would be down the road. Anyway, thank you for reading and hopefully leaving a review I love to hear your guy's thoughts.
