Chapter 8 Let the games begin.

Keigo was walking in the early morning, it was strange for him to be up this early but after last night he needed to clear his mind. The news team that had filmed him was breaking news worldwide.

However, when the news channel tried to broadcast, the camera's images were extremely blurry. Keigo was amused that Ghost couldn't be captured on cameras. He nearly spat out his breakfast having a laughing fit. However, his sister still beat him up but it was worth it.

Keigo right now was enjoying his last day of vacation, the next day he would be back to school. Even with the rouge ghost out there, Keigo was sure nothing bad was going to happen.

"Aw feel today is going to be good-," Then without warning, his ghostly sense picked up that something was behind him. Then he instinctively felt something touch his head and turned on his ghost intangibility. The Object passed through his head and smashed into the floor. Keigp smirked and spun around to see Box Ghost with an angry expression.

"Ah, next time bring your A-game!" Keigo said.

"Beware!" Box Ghost screamed as he flew away into the sky. Keigo glanced at the smashed box and pondered on a serious question. How is he going to be able to put some of these ghosts back where they came from?

"Hmm, I'll worry about that later, right now I think it is time to relax," However the looming worry of soul reapers always did cross Keigo's mind. It may be wise of him to drop by that shop.

He thought that Kisuke was a pretty cool dude.

Kisuke was currently sitting in his lab. Holding his head in frustration no matter what he did, this green ooze alludes to him. Shinji had walked into his laboratory, and the genius of Soul Society slumped over his desk.

"Hey Kisuke we were able to erase most of the memories from the people who saw our… little friend's accident," He said calmly. "Though they couldn't stop the broadcast, thankfully, the whole world thought it was a hoax. So it looks like we got lucky there."

Kisuke stood up and lazily grabbed his cane.

"Yes, well you certainly do bring some good news. What about Keigo, were you able to reach him?"

Shinji awkwardly scratched the back of his head and looked away from the ex-captain.

"I swung by his house early, but nobody was there…. I'm guessing he might be out doing who knows what? Not to mention it's so hard to track somebody who doesn't even have any spiritual energy whatsoever,"

Kisuke had gone into deep thought of the anomaly that was Keigo.

"He saw it, he saw the sulking. Some things are not adding up here and I feel like he's the key to finding out what has happened. It's better if he's on our side than Aizen. there's no telling what that madman would do if he ever found Kegio," He thought. Kisuke then walked towards Shinji and patted his shoulder.

"Don't worry about it, when this little vacation is over I bet he's gonna be back at school, then we can have a little chat with him," Kisuke said as he was already three steps ahead of Keigo. He wouldn't mind trying to get to know him more. He even dwells on the possibility that he might be a more favorable student and wasn't so hardheaded as his other pupil.

Shinji still didn't know how to feel about Keigo. Yeah, he Seemed like a very cool guy but it just felt like this kid put himself in a crossfire

Then a sudden wave of spiritual pressure made the two flinch. They both spun around to the north feeling the presence of hallows at the far end of the town.

"Hmmm, I sense two Adjucha. I would say leave it but I believe our resident soul reaper is currently in the infirmary," Kisuke informed. He didn't want to send any of the vizards out there Azien might get the upper hand and risk their surprise. However, two dangerous hallows on the loose starting trouble were unacceptable.

"You mind if you get that?" Kisuke asked.

"Yeah we will get them, I guess I'm gonna have to postpone ghost hunting for now. Even saying that out loud still sounds stupid, I sound like one of those weird hosts on those ghost shows," Shinji said then he stepped out of the room and began to head out. Kisuke's lazy smile quickly faded away into a calm stoic face.

Kisuke went back to his lab and began to continue his research. He had bigger things to look over. While Kisuke still had many people of interest he still had to study. He only hoped he had enough time to do so.

However, there still was a welcome home for Ichigo and his friends. He was informed that they were able to overcome the obstacles and save Rukia.

"You know maybe Ichigo might be able to be the ace in the hole, he's always finding ways to surprise me," Kisuke thought but at this moment, he didn't feel like that was true at all.

Keigo walked down the street, currently with his blue headphones in. Still on the patrol for ghosts, he is also quickly reminded that he still has training with Yankii. So a quick pitstop to a supermarket to pick up some snacks and booze would be a good appreciation gift for his mentor.

Walking down the streets surrounded by a crowd the young teenager couldn't help but look up and gaze into the sky. The feeling could just fly up in the air and doing whatever he wanted sounded so excellent to him. However, Keigo quickly put down that feeling. It was that reckless behavior that caused a man to be almost killed.

Though Kisuke was on his way to Yankii. So killing two birds with one stone. He looked at the horizon and took a deep breath.

"Today is going to be better," Keigo said out loud to himself. The next step he took was followed by a cold mist from his mouth. His eyes widened in surprise as he spun around to see a striker in the open air, who threw a glowing green sphere at a building.

Then a humongous explosion completely took off the top floors. Keigo's eyes widened seeing the glass and debris fall down to the city floor. where the people below immediately took cover.

Striker smiled as he reveled in the destruction. This was his moment, his revenge at last to destroy this place. Keigo could see waves of people running away from the danger; he quickly slipped away into an alleyway avoiding the stampede of panicked civil. He slowly gulped and realized what was happening.

Striker arrived back and acted on his plans for revenge. Keigo narrowed his eyes sinking more into the alleyway shadows becoming more obscure and hidden from the naked eye.

this time you wouldn't run or let somebody else fight. This was his battle and he would declare it with three words.

"I'm going Ghost!" Keigo shouted. The rings of light surrounded his body. The boy who once was frightful and would run away or cry about his problems now had a determined look in those green eyes.

Standing in the alleyway wasn't just Keigo Asano. He was now Keigo the Phantom.

With no hesitation, he flew out of the alleyway and zoomed into the sky heading right for Striker.

The Baseball ghost only smirked at what he did for there were more devastating outcomes down the road. He glanced down at his hands admiring the power that he had trained to obtain.

"Days of nonstop, practice and I can throw a soul ball that can destroy a building. I feel invincible." Striker smiled and glanced down at the terrified civilians. "Now that my dogs are distracting those sword guys I'm free to do whatever I please here!"

"HEY YOU!" Striker spun around and could see a familiar face flying right towards him. He smirked and cracked his knuckles.

"So you come back, let me guess judging from the heroic look on your face. I'm gonna say you're trying to stop me?" He said sarcastically. Keigo narrowed his eyes, surrounding both of his fists with glowing green Ecto plasma energy.

"You're right I'm going to stop you, Let's cut the chit-chat and get to the part where I punch you in the face," Keigo said. He flew towards the ghost and tried to whack his fist on the ghost.

Striker smirked as he formed his baseball bat out of thin air and swung downward at Keigo. Hitting him in the back and sending him down to the floor below. however, the streets were all cleared out dude all the panic.

So Keigo crashed down on the road with a big thud. Keigo took a deep breath and slowly got up. He was in pain but he wouldn't just give up after one hit.

"I'm still fresh around the ears when it comes to fighting but I'm not going to give up!"

The young man looked up to Striker flying right down towards him with his baseball bat, ready to take off his head. Keigo jumped away from the attack. The bat had struck the road embedding itself in asphalt. Striker smiled at his attack, slowly glancing up at Keigo.

"So what's that about punching my face?" He sarcastically asked. Keigo brought his hands and blasted an Ecto energy blast.

Striker was quick to block the attack by holding up his weapon and hardening it. The force of the attack pushed him back as his feet skidded across the road. Keigo flew towards him and went intangible just before he could attack him.

Striker glanced down at the ground and raised an eyebrow.

"You know that would be a smart attack if you knew where you were going," Striker said. Keigo then leaped out a good couple of feet away from his target. Keigo awkwardly turned around. He gradually nervously chuckled.

"It's kinda hard to see when you're underground… but I'm still ready to fight you," Keigo said, getting in a fighting stance. Striker with a quick scan of his opponent lets out a humorous snort. The baseball ghost stabbed his bat into the floor and cracked his neck. Keigo watched the ghost get into a pitcher's stance.

"No, you're not ready to face me," His pitching hand began to glow a bright green. Keigo didn't know what was happening but could feel the ghost energy building up exponentially. Then he had an insane smile.

"Picked up on something new! I guess you can say I worked on my pitches!" Striker yelled in pure static joy. He threw the green ball at Keigo at great velocities.

The young half-ghost's eyes widen in surprise, seeing the ball gradually grow into a giant skull with flaming eyes. Coming right towards him, he tried to move her thing, but it was already too late. The sphere of death had already collided with him. Then all he could see was a blinding green light.

"Oh, carp!" Keigo panicked.

Kaboom!

Keigo was blown away along with the buildings beside him. his whole body was in pain as he felt his back collide with the floor. It all happened in a matter of seconds.

Keigo slowly regained his vision and his ears eventually stopped ringing carefully. When he wobbly got up Keigo could feel he was fine but at the same time the smoke had not settled and he could see the burn marks on his clothing.

"I…don't…think… I can take another one of those," Keigo said.

"No, you can't," Striker said as he walked through the smoke. Keigo glared up at the man with anger in his eyes. Striker

"So tell me who is your teacher? I know somebody like you doesn't just figure this out on his own," He said with a mocking smile. Keigo took a deep breath, he figured this battle would be uphill but not this difficult especially when his opponent was always carrying a bomb in his right hand. Maybe he could stall for some time until one of the Soul reapers showed up.

"So you want to know, fine then. His name is Yankii and he's cool to teach. Not that he would help a guy like you," Keigo said with pride. The young teen could see the surprise in Striker's face.

"Yankii, the guy with the long neck?" He asked. Keigo froze at how his enemy casually said his master's name.

"Do you know him?"

"You're kidding right, everyone knows his in the history books. That guy was an insane soldier back in the day. He took the lives of anyone who went against his Lord. He has one of the highest body counts of any ghost. No wonder you learn so fast you have a stone-cold killer in your corner teaching you all these tricks!" Striker shouted in a mocking voice trying to coax the boy into fighting him. However, Keigo wasn't phased at all and smirked.

"You know you always did have the scary side to him. I guess it kind of makes sense. You know he isn't a bad guy. If you just give him a chance he's pretty cool," Keigo smiled, he wouldn't trash talk or backstab one of his friends especially one that helped him so much.

"Tsh, okay you are gullible. People don't change, they take and it hurts. You just have to hurt the back so it stops,"

"Is that what you tell yourself, I remember going to one of your games when I was very young and I have to tell you. I thought you were amazing. You never missed a swing, and always delivered a strike. You were an amazing baseball player. I'm sorry they forgot you but sometimes you just have to let those things go."

Striker huffed in annoyance. He only thought of how ridiculous this young ghost sounded to him.

"How did you die? What made you this way?" Keigo asked. It was then he could hear the tightening fingers wrap harder around Striker's baseball bat.

"So no one even knows how I died?" He said in a heated tone of voice. Keigo gave a sympathetic look to the man.

"I thought you died because of an accident, that's what I read," Keigo answered, truthfully. It was then he heard a sad sniffle come from the ghost.

"It was my senior year playing the game, I worked my ass off to be on top. I had it all. A Great team that looked up to me, a girlfriend, and adoring fans. Then one day I discovered the love of my life was cheating on me and the entire baseball team. You know I tried to get over that but I hated all of them. Then the coach decided to bench me for the entire season because I had gone soft and they had to make room for a new American exchange student!" Striker's nostrils began to flare out as he began to breathe in deeply. "Then the fans stopped showing, they moved on to the next big thing while I was left in the dust…. One day I thought I would practice more. I ran harder than I ever before, I threw harder than I ever did before and you know what happened?"

Keigo could hear the frustration and his voice rising. The young half-ghost only thought that this guy was going to blow off his top soon.

"I was in the batting cage. Hell, it was on a game day almost half the town was there… so I was there practicing and I slipped, guess what, that's not even the best part. The pitching machine socked me in the chest so hard that my upper rib stabbed into my lung!" He yelled in rage. Keigo could see the face of Striker begin to contort and mangle itself into a corpse. The venom in his voice matched a demonic tone. However, Keigo's heart ached in sympathy for the man.

"I'm, I'm so sorry," Keigo's apology fell on deaf ears.

"I was right behind the bleachers, the crowd didn't even notice me. They all just smiled and cheered for the new entertainment. I tried to scream, shout, and beg for something so that someone would just turn around and look at me. It was too late when they finally noticed a young teenager, suffocating on his blood after a three-hour game. I died because I wasn't good enough. After all, no one cared about me! Nobody cares about anybody they only looking to be entertained. So you can take your garbage and cram it down you're throat. Because I don't care about this town and I'm gonna make it suffer like how I suffered slowly and painfully!"

Keigo was at a loss for words he had heard of sad tales but this one was just devastating to hear. This wasn't a monster. It was just a sad, broken man. deeply, he blamed himself for this he had brought back a man to his suffering, to the town that didn't care about him. Though he wouldn't let anybody get hurt this was his obligation to stop him.

"I'm sorry that all that happened to you, but I can't let you hurt innocent people," Keigo said, finally looking Striker in the eyes with a stern glare.

Striker wasn't upset or disturbed his face began to return to normal, pulling the bat from the ground and resting it on his other hand.

"I respect your honesty but I'm gonna bury you within this city," He said with a blank expression. Keigo let out a laugh.

"Take your best shot!" Keigo felt a smile on his face, his blood started to bump in excitement. For the first in a long time, he felt excited.

Striker raised his left hand and began to form another soul ball. Then Keigo heard a distant sound approach Striker from behind. The young teen was puzzled also Striker looked to be confused.

"MashiroooooooooooOOOOOOO~"

"Do you hear that?" Keigo asked.

"Yeah I do, what is that AAHH!" He wasn't able to finish his sentence as a massive force had come right behind him delivering a powerful blow to his back.

"Mashiro Kick!" The green-haired vizard yelled. Striker's body was flung towards the sky and collided with a bundling wall. Keigo looked up and saw no other than Mashiro standing there in a fighting stance, which made Keigo oddly think of Power Rangers.

"Mashiro, what are you doing here? Is anyone else with you?" He asked. The girl smiled and quickly rushed over to Keigo.

"Well, I heard the commotion and decided to come out and help. Everyone else is fighting hollows on the outskirts of town," Mashiro's gentle face turned into bitterness. Looking towards where Striker had landed.

"So that's the guy who almost killed Kensei?" She asked in a heated tone of voice. Keigo gulped and nodded.

"Yep, that's the guy," He quickly answered.

Mashiro's harsh gaze never left the ghost who slowly got up and glared at the girl who slammed him into a building. He cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders.

"That hurt like hell… you young lady should learn to wait for your turn," Striker raised his hand. Mashiro watched trying to figure out what he was doing. Then she felt her whole body being pushed to the ground to her right as Keigo tackled her.

Her eyes widened seeing that the green baseball bat that was in the ground, missile right by her head. The bat flew right towards the ghost's hand, and he easily caught it. Keigo immediately got up and glared at Striker,

"Be careful Mashiro, this guy plays dirty," Keigo said then gave a hand to her pulling her up from the ground. She glared at Striker and gave a respectful nod towards Keigo.

"Thank you," She then narrowed her eyes at the ghost. "Is that how you defeated my friend with such cowardly tactics,"

Striker smiled sinisterly as he played with his baseball bat, giving a few practice swings.

"You know the old saying, don't fight harder, fight smarter," Striker said arrogantly. Mashiro angrily gripped her fist.

"Fine then you asked for this! KEIGO STAND BACK!" She yelled. Bringing her hand across her face in a dragging motion. Keigo and Striker felt the spiritual pressure bounce off of them. Yet it was such a large amount of spiritual power. Unfortunately, that had no effect in a battle with a ghost.

Dark energy formed around her hand and formed around her face. Then a white mask was upon her face. It was heart-shaped with an insect look. Keigo couldn't help but think of a grasshopper. She donned her hollow mask and glared through the dark eye holes. Keigo thought she now looked like a beast ready to attack. Striker had another thought that popped up in mind.

"Hey, loser, the Kamen rider convention is on the other side of town. So why don't you take your little freak show out of my- ACK!" Striker felt his body ascending into the air. Seeing he was a couple of feet off the ground. Striker had only blinked and the wind was kicked right out of him.

He glanced down seeing Mashiro was still on the ground holding her and still in her kicking pose.

"Oh that hurt like hell but at least there is some distance between me and her! Then I'll-," Striker's thought was cut off when Mashiro was instantly in front of him. She spun around and delivered a powerful spin kick. Striker quickly turned intangible. The kick phased right through him.

Then he reappeared in front of her and swung his bat at Mashiro. Instead of trying to block or evade the attack. She caught the bat with both her hands. Striker gasped at what happened, pulling his arms back in an attempt to free his weapon.

"Hey let go of my bat!" He yelled only for Mashiro to kick his head. The attack was too fast for him to react as he was flung to his right.

Using his power of levitation, he halted himself from moving any further. Before he could move Mashiro was already in front of him, throwing a punch in his direction.

Mashiro's yellow eyes glared through her mask. All she wanted to do was pull off this, jerking into the ground, and bring him back to Kisuke. Out of all the Vizards, she was the one who was able to maintain her mask the longest. So this beatdown wouldn't take any longer. She couldn't even feel any spiritual pressure from this individual so this had to be in the bag for her.

Striker disappeared again instead of staying in the same position she was in the sky; she quickly backed away. moments before Striker had reappeared his baseball bat positioned to where her head was.

"Damn, It seems you wised up to my old tricks let me guess loudmouth down there spilled the beans," Striker said with irritation. Mashiro didn't bother speaking as she threw another fast punch at Striker, the hit landed on his chest, pushing him behind.

"What no talking… too shy to speak!" Striker then wound up his swing. He held his bat readying the perfect strike. Mashiro flashed a step towards him hoping to catch him off guard.

Appearing right behind the ghost. Mashiro was about to hit Striker in the back of his head. Then his upper body spun around like his torso wasn't connected to his hips. Mashiro had to block the attack, she tried to take a flash step but Striker's bat slammed into Mashiro's forearms.

Mashiro held in her cry of pain as she was knocked onto a building roof. quickly she got up from the ground. Mashiro looked up to see Striker was gone. The situation now took a dangerous turn for she didn't know where Striker was, she felt like she was in a giant ocean. While a shark was practically circling her for the kill.

"Now I understand how dangerous these ghosts are. I'm completely defenseless here. All of my skills and training don't even help me. I'm still fast enough to dodge his attacks. I just need to stay calm," Mashiro held her fist up. Then a clang of metal roars behind her. She looked behind herself seeing nothing but a can blowing in the wind.

Mashiro realized her fatal mistake was that she had let her guard be open. Turning to face her front was Striker standing over her his baseball bat lazily hanging over his shoulder as he glared down at the Vizard.

"So what's up with the mask, kind of weird, isn't it?" He said in a lax voice. Mashiro stood frozen and fear. Not sure what to do next.

"Listen, I'm having fun playing games but I'm gonna have to kill you now, just to warn you that the next punch or kick you throw, is going to break," He said calmly.

Mashiro drew back her fist and punched as hard as she could. Her fist rammed so fast it broke the sound barrier. Her fist struck Striker's face. Mashiro gasped in pain as she felt her hand, completely crushed and every bone in her right hand was broken.

Mashiro brought back her fist and held it. looking back up at the ghost wanting to know what happened. Her eyes widened in surprise. A bright green crystal substance had covered his face forming a mask.

Striker had a sinister grin seeing what had happened. Mashiro attempted to punch with her unbroken hand the ghost jaw but a swift whack of a bat, crushed her mask and clubbed her face. She fell back to the floor trying to pick herself up.

"What's the matter? You hit something too hard!" He said sarcastically. "You're fast but if you time your swing right I could hit lightning!"

"Is this what you do!" Mashiro said, holding her head down not wanting to look up at the man. Her hollow mask fragments scattered below her.

"My mask is gone, It's going to take half an hour for it to come back!"

"Hmm," Striker titled his head not understanding what she meant.

"You use these underhanded cowardly attacks, you have no honor, you're not a warrior! The fact that you wanna hurt people just because nobody helped you is pathetic!" She yelled in a broken voice trying to hide the broken bloody tears. Striker shook his head and harshly brought his baseball bat under her chin, pulling up her face to make sure he was looking at him.

"Sweety the real world doesn't have any honor, it just forgets you," He ripped the bat away from her chin and was about to bring his down upon her. Mashiro's life flashed before her eyes. The bat was inches away from his face when a giant beam of Ecto energy struck his side. Flinging him away from Mashiro. The Vizard turned towards her right, seeing Keigo holding both his hands together. A point of origin where the ghost beam was fired.

"Hadouken!" Keigo said his glare showed nothing but anger. However, it quickly vanished when he ran to Mashiro.

"Oh my gosh, are you okay!" He said in a panic. Mashiro could only stare at Keigo seeing what he just did for her.

"Keigo," She called out. The young half-ghost glanced back at her with a kind smile. The young half-ghost picked Mashiro from the roof and helped her get back to her feet.

"Hey it's going to be okay, I'm going to handle the big one over here you get to safety," Keigo said. Mashiro wanted to protest against his action because he wasn't ready but the same could be said about her. This threat had just sprung on them and the closest person to this ghost problem to even help them was Keigo.

This Half Ghost boy was their only hope.

Mashiro gulped and hopeful looked at him. "Keigo be careful,"

The young teen gave a cocky smile and scratched the back of his head in a goofy manner. "Hey I'm a ghost, what's the worst he can do!"

"OH KEIGO, YOU WANNA FIGHT!"

Keigo and Mashiro turned to see Striker slowly approaching them with a furious face. Keigo wouldn't run or cry. No, he had only one feeling and it was to kick Striker's ass. Mashiro felt that warrior's intent and she gulped nervously. The glow in his eyes shined like a storm yet to come.

Mashiro flashed step away from the fight. Leaving only the two ghosts with each other. One waiting for the other to make their move. Keigo moved first and tried to punch Striker.

Striker quickly hardened his entire face and upper torso covering himself in a hardened Ecto energy. However, the closed fist that reached for him quickly opened and grabbed his collar. Striker's eyes widened in surprise as Keigo yanked him over his shoulder, toasting him head-first into the roof, collapsing through it.

The young man may have never taken an ad judo lesson ever in his life, but if it was one constant thing day in and day out of his own home, his sister would always put him in a headlock or toss him on the ground. Years of being defeated, paid off, and its small reward. If he couldn't hit him, he might as well toss him.

Keigo glanced through the hole he made and smirked.

"You know I took something from the fight with Mashiro, I shouldn't fight harder I should fight smarter!" Keigo yelled. Then without hesitation, a soul ball was thrown through the dark hole nearly hitting Keigo but shot past him and straight up into the air.

It caused Keigo to look up at the sky, though his ghost sensitivity quickly alerted him to a threat right in front of him. Keigo watched a Bat being swung right at his head, acting on instinct alone. He pushed himself out of the attack.

"Almost got you!" He yelled. Keigo held his hands out and fired an Ecto beam. It collided with Striker's chest pushing him off the building's roof and falling to the road.

Keigo flew off the building and followed the falling ghost.

Striker's eyes glowed with a furious greenlight, taking a deep breath he halted falling and went into his pitcher's stance. Keigo knew he was getting ready to throw another soul ball. However, Keigo realized there was something different about this attack. It was brighter and hotter.

The Soul ball burned out of control and shot right toward Keigo. His eyes widened in shock but he quickly dodged the attack. He floated and had a prideful smirk.

"Ha! A little newsflash about me, Keigo Asano doesn't fall for the same attack tw-," He was cut off when a baseball bat slammed into his side from out of nowhere. Keigo gawked in pain as his body was launched into a building wall.

He slowly pulled himself out of the wall and winced, feeling the pain in his arm. Greeting hurt wasn't anything new to him but this level of damage was new for him. Striker bolted towards him, his bat readying for another swing. Keigo instead of dodging phased through the wall behind him.

"Yeah, I'm not gonna face that right now," Keigo thought as he hid behind the office walls. He knelt on the floor and took a deep breath. Assuming he would be able to take a fast break. Keigo was tired and could feel the sweat start to drip from his forehead. He just needed to figure out a plan to knock out Striker

The wall in front of Keigo was blown to bits. Creating a giant hole to open Striker flew into it. Keigo quickly turned intangible and faced through the floors, making sure he was to the bottom and out of the building at a fast speed.

"You can't sit in the dugout all day!" He yelled into the room. Wildly looking around seeing Keigo was gone. Letting out an angry huff, the sound of his fingers tightly gripping the handle of the filled room, was an ominous anger.

"Well looks like I'm going to have to clean!"

Keigo zoomed out of the building and was on the road looking at the office building. He took a deep breath and smiled.

"I'm not as cool as Ichigo, more intelligent like Uryū, or strong like Chad, I'm nothing. Even my sister is better… But it's me who got these powers and I won't give up. Now let's see if my plans pay off!"

Keigo phased into the floor only leaving eyes sticking out as he secretly swimmed in the ground below. At Least he was able to see. Keigo was slowly approaching the structure.

Then without warning a loud explosion started at the top of the building, flowing down to the foundation. Keigo had to close his eyes from the bright flashing lights. He stayed in intangible form, Keigo held in any scream or shout. He needed to stay out of sight. It was probably the most basic attack but still held strong to the idea of it.

"I just have to catch Striker off guard!" Keigo thought. The dust had settled, revealing a pile of wreckage. Standing on top of his carnage, he was taking deep breaths. His back was slumped to Keigo it looked like Striker was exhausted.

Keigo snaked across the floor and glared at his target from only a couple of feet away. Keigo unfazed his hand and aimed his open palm. Striker frantically looked around trying to find Keigo. The young half-ghost had a stoic gaze in his eyes. The days of training that Keigo endured, the pain and self frustration, he put himself through.

"Come on kid, where are you!" Striker yelled sluggishly. A moment of silence fell upon the area. The distant sound of sirens of emergency vehicles was fast approaching. Striker finally stopped just looking around the area like he was lost taking in the environment that he made.

"What… What…,"

"Right behind you," Keigo's voice echoed behind Striker. The ghost spun around only to be shot in the chest by a green ectoplasm beam, punching him in the chest. Filing him into a pile of rubble. Keigo hopped out of the ground and put on his smirk.

"Having some trouble with that, ball boy," Keigo said with a smug tone. Striker paused at what the young half-ghost said. Immediately getting up from the pile of glass and rumble

"What did you say?" Keigo could see the twitch in the ghost's right eye. Then an idea popped into his mind. If there was one thing Keigo was good at, it was talking off people's ears.

"I mean your swing game is impressive but let's face it when it comes to pitching it's subpar at best,"

Striker wildly rushed over to where Keigo stood and swung his bat so hard the cloud above started to split. However, Keigo fell backward and phased into the floor. Then popped out from behind, keeping that cocky smirk.

"Well since we're on the subject dude, your swings are terrible. Your freshmen games were so bad. How do you get nine balls? In the first inning!" Keigo then ducked his head, dodging Striker's swing. The young half-ghost could predict the movement, due to how wreckless the attacks were. Keigo took a step back and flexed his fingers, coaxing Striker.

"Come on man, I'm standing right here," Keigo jumped backward as Striker brought his baseball bat downward, breaking apart the ground where Keigo once stood.

"You may have been a legend on the field but you're a rookie at fighting," Keigo leaped over the swing and blasted Striker hitting him again in the chest. Striker's chest was smoking while tumbling down the hill of rubble. Bouncing off the ground until he stopped himself quickly getting up.

"I'm going to ring you out by the neck!" Striker yelled in bloody murder. Flying towards Keigo, hitting randomly. Keigo ducked, jumped, and stepped out of each attack.

"Strike one,"

The Baseball ghost swung again, Still, Keigo fell to his right and happily jumped up into the air. This made Striker swing in the air only for Keigo to drop down on the ground.

"Strike two,"

Striker yelled in frustration as he cocked back his hand and threw a soul ball right toward the floor Keigo lay on. He leaped into the air, taking flight and landing behind his opponent. The explosion from the attack erupted into a great force

"Strike three, you're out of here!"

Keigo held back his fist and gave an uppercut to Striker's chin. The ghost was sent flying across a yard of distance. Crashing into a pile of rubble, his back hitting the rocks and his breath ragged. Keigo slowly flew over to him and brought his hand up, threatening to blast Striker again with a blast.

"Stop what you're doing or else," Keigo said in a threatening tone. Striker glanced up, and let out a small chuckle which turned into a mad laugh.

"I have to give you credit kid, you got some balls but I have to ask one question?" Stiker said, smiling at the teenager. Keigo raised his brow and wondered at what he was going to ask. He had him on the ropes so why was he laughing?

"Dude I've already beat you, what's your question?" Keigo asked in a tired voice. Striker smiled as his hand gripped his bat.

"Can you do this?" Striker's face quickly shocked into a blur, Keigo felt his body freeze up as he could see the glowing green disfigured eyes, and the elongated hollow mouth that, showed what his cries for help looked like the day he died. He could feel the pain and terror in Striker's eyes. The torment of being alone. Keigo froze in fear as his body acted stiff, his breath hitched and the hands he held shook terribly.

Keigo tried to move or run but his body had betrayed him, he was frozen with fear. Striker slowly got up and let out a sigh of relief. He held up his bat and put it dangerously close to Keigo's face.

"I'm not going to lie, you had me on the ropes, I could only do my scary face once a day. So it's my trump card," Striker stood silently and a frown crept up on his face.

"You are something else, kid," Striker twisted his body all the way around. ecto energy began to corrode the back and began to crystallize and harden. The baseball bat was held firm in his hands. Keigo could feel a small amount of control to move but his fingers were only slightly moving.

"Come on, just have to not be hit… it can't just end like this, IT CAN'T! I've come too far if only there was a way that I could've attacked without even moving,"

There was a brief moment of silence, pause, in the young half-ghost mind. Keigo realized the answer was so plain, and obvious. "Oh my god, I am an idiot,"

"When I'm through with you and when the dust is settled, I'll make sure they remember your name,"

Striker swung the bat as hard as possible. The blur from his bat moved across within nanoseconds. His weapon went through Keigo's head, then stopped his arm motion, the baseball bat cracked the sound barrier.

Striker was standing, holding his pose, and taking in what he had done.

"Sometimes I forget we're ghosts," Striker admitted.

Keigo was still standing, he was able to avoid the attack last minute, by becoming intangible. Keigo finally broke off his fear trance and was able to place his hand on Striker's chest.

"Hey dude I'm sorry what happened?" Keigo said. Striker stood defenseless before he could do anything, Keigo let out a wave of green energy blasting the entire front of Striker.

Even after the attack, Striker was still standing. However, his body was smoking with a couple of scorch marks on some notable places, like his shoulders and face. He fell to his knees and collapsed to the floor. Keigo was so tired that he fell on his butt. He could feel the energy within start to fade.

Keigo realized that he reached his limit. The exhaustion finally took over. The two rings of light reverted him into his human form. He glanced over at the unconscious ghost and smiled. After training, practicing, and planning, he was able to overcome and win a fight. He saved the people of today, with a lot of property damage, but still, no one was hurt. He couldn't help but chuckle out loud.

"Hey, I won a fight," Keigo said, stretching out his arms. The battle was over and he could relax, finally able to enjoy the rest of his break.

"Still what to do about you?" Keigo asked. Then he felt a cold wisp of mist escape his mouth. The back of his hair stood on the edge. Another ghost was here; he tried to get to his feet but could only wobble to one knee.

"Perhaps I could help you with that problem," A chilling voice said. Keigo glanced up and saw another ghost floating above Striker. This one felt different, this one gave off a more malicious vibe. His appearance was Vampiric in nature. He was muscular and had sky-blue skin and fangs. His hair is black and styled in a horn-like U-shape, and he has a black goatee. He wears a white outfit consisting of white trousers and a white long-sleeved shirt with black gloves and boots. His shirt is connected via a black belt and stems up to his neck. There is a black collar on his shirt like Danny's, although it does not extend up the neck. He was accessorized with a high collar cape connected around his neck that had a white exterior and a red interior lining. In his hand was a silver canister, which looked like some sort of thermos.

"Who- who are you?"

The mysterious ghost smirked and opened the thermos, Keigo could feel a sort of suction in the air but Striker began to be quickly pulled off the floor. A blue vortex of light picked up the ghost body, making it swirl, and began to entirely suck him into the thermos. Leaving nothing behind but a confused Keigo. The mysterious ghost put the top back on the thermos.

"Just a friendly neighbor wanting to keep his streets clean, say you did quite well ghost boy. A little rough around the edges, but that's nothing that years of training can't fix." He answered.

"What did you do to him?" He asked.

"Oh you mean this, it's a Fenton thermos. It's able to capture ghosts. don't worry about your friend, he's right in here, a little cramped but still alive!"

Keigo didn't like the presence of this person, they captured Striker but who was this person and why was he here?

"Wait, hold on, what are you doing?" Keigo yells at the ghost. The mysterious ghost still held his smirk and flew downward landing on the floor in front of Keigo.

"Look at you young ghost child, I wonder how all that power feels like in your veins. Being a spectator of the world of the living. You certainly have so much potential," He said. Keigo was only more confused, it seemed this person had some sort of great interest in him.

"I was simply going to take this ghost back to where it belongs, in the ghost zone,"

"No,"

The mysterious ghost glanced at the young man with surprise.

"No?" He asked. "didn't this ghost cause all this destruction, hurt so many people and you want him to be free?"

Keigo finally stood up even if his powers were drained for the moment. He still stood strong in front of the unknown.

"Look he got a bad hand in life, give him a second chance. Why should the afterlife be as harsh as reality? It just maybe if he had better people to help him. He wouldn't be this angry," Keigo said with hope in his eyes. The mysterious ghost smirked and extended a friendly hand toward the young man.

"You may call me Plasmius, I find your outlook on the situation to be interesting," Vlad said, Keigo saw the hand and awkwardly shook it.

"OK, let me introduce myself. Don't give him my real name. Don't give him my real name," Keigo thought.

"My name is Keigo… uh….Phantom," He said awkwardly. Plasmius smirked at the man.

"Well Keigo Uh Phantom, as much as your mercy is grounded spectacle. I unfortunately cannot release him. Besides, I think the people behind you might have some business to take care of. Anyway, have a good day,"

Plasmius vanished in fading green light. Keigo glanced at where Plasmius stood. He couldn't help but feel a little disturbed after seeing that ghost. He felt weirdly alive. Then he realized the words that Plasmius said.

"Oh gosh, please don't tell me all of you guys are standing right behind me," Keigo said, hanging his head in defeat.

"Well, I'm not going to say that I'm not here," Kisuke's voice said from behind. Keigo turned around to see Kisuke and the Vizards. Shinji walked forward and smacked the top of his head.

"Aw, what was that for!" He shouted in pain, holding his head in pain. "I defeated that guy!"

"LOOK AROUND YOU IDIOT AND TELL ME HOW MUCH PROPERTY DAMAGE YOU DID!" Shinji yelled. Keigo gulped and finally took in the destruction. Buildings that were leveled to ground zero, roads that had giant holes in them, and light poles were lying on their side. Keigo looked at Shinji, he pulled on his shirt collar feeling how hot his situation was.

"Well, it could have been worse…" Keigo trailed off. Shinji let out a loud sigh and grabbed his face. Mashiro held in her giggle seeing Keigo being so awkward.

"Shinji, give the kid a break, I mean, what would we even do against one of those freaky ghosts," Love said as he walked over and slapped Keigo's shoulder.

"Nice work kid, took some real guts standing up to that guy," He said in a cool tone of voice.

"Aw man thanks," Keigo said as he quickly rubbed his shoulder in pain.

"Well at least the ghost is taken care of," Mashiro cheerfully said. Keigo's face turned into disappointment.

"Well one of them is taken care of, but there are still more out there," Kisuke said in a somber voice. Hiyori groaned in annoyance.

"Great more problems," She said out loud. Many of them were disconcerted by the amount of damage done to the city was very concerning, and the fact that there were still many ghosts out in the city scared them. Kisuke and Shinji both kept their minds on the real target. Keigo could see the disheartening looks and gripped his fist.

"Well, it's a good thing you got me!" He said. All of them glanced at Keigo.

"You?" Lisa questioned. Keigo cleared his voice and confidently walked to them.

"Listen, I know I'm a little…" Keigo tried to get the words out but the others beat to the punch.

"A goofball," Lisa said.

"Sometimes a Wingnut," Kisuke said, having a cocky grin.

"A knucklehead McSpazatron!" Hiyori said with a cocky smile. Keigo let out a frustrated grumble but didn't lose his cool.

"Points are taken… You guys need someone to take on the problem you can't handle, I'm here to fight for me, and you! So come on let me help you guys, so come on guys let me in!" Keigo said unafraid, it was time for him to step up. He was no longer that scary kid in the corner of the room. Now he is the Keigo Phantom half-ghost.

"Geez Keigo we already agreed to help you, we were waiting for the right time to ask you," Shinji said. Keigo felt a smile spread across his face.

"Really! Thank you, guys I won't let you down I promise!" Keigo said in excitement for the first time, he was let into a group that recognized his hard work. Keigo looked at all of them with a smile.

"So uh when do we start training!" Keigo said. "Put I do have to warn you guys I do have a school schedule to keep up with,"

"Wel we certainly do appreciate the helping hand," Hachi said.

"Hey, at least we got more muscle on the team. Something tells me you were a heavy hitter," Love said.

"Let's just hope you stay out of the spotlight, I swear, I almost spit out my Matcha tea when I thought I saw you on the news," Shinji said, rubbing the side of his head.

"Heh sorry about that," Keigo grumbled. Mashiro let out a gasp making everyone turn toward her.

"Guys I just realized we have a superhero on the team, this is so cool~!" She shouted.

Kisuke smiles even though many questions are unanswered, at least they have a new alley. However, he still had to pick someone special tonight.

"Let's just hope Ichigo can handle him, I know I sure can't," He thought. Keigo felt a cold wisp leak from his mouth. All of the Vizards noticed it.

"Ah, what the hell was that!" Shinji asked.

"Guys I don't wanna startle any of you, but I think there's another ghost approaching us," Keigo said. begin to worry it used too much power fighting striker that he left himself vulnerable. All the Vizards drew their zanpakutō out. They all waited patiently for a ghost to show their presents. When all of a sudden appearing out above them was Yankii.

"Yankii!" Keigo said with relief seeing his master was here. "Hey guys don't worry, this is my mentor. He's a pretty cool dude,"

"Well done my pupil on your victory, it seems like these are your friends. Hey~ cane guy is here too, what's up you loser, you wanna fight?" Yankii said, taking a sudden swig from a bottle. Kisuke tipped his hat down and smiled.

"It's going to be a long day,"

Notes.

Hey guys sorry for the weird posting time. My schedule has been through a loop with work and school, so I'm happy to post something. If I didn't post anything I feel like I was going crazy. Also, did you guys enjoy the fight? Keigo hasn't gotten a hold of his ghost power and almost died but he makes up for it with his cleverness. He may not fastest or strongest but he is the sharpest one. Not to mention adding Vlad for this short time. I'm finally done with the striker arc and can now get into the meat and potatoes. That's right baby it's time for the Arrancar arc baby. That's right Ghost vs Hollows! Let's get ready to rumble!... But we got to get something out of the way before then sooooo~.

Anyway, the next chapter is Soul Society and School Society. Here's an Omake for you guys.

Omake

Currently in the Kurosaki household...

A young teen with spiky orange hair, who was very tall and had a slim face lay on his bed staring at his ceiling. He had been resting after the long adventure he had. In a long-fought battle to save his friend Rukia.

It took only a couple of days to achieve the impossible, fighting invincible warriors, learning the way of his zanpakuto, and fighting his inner hollow A dear friend of his was protected.

However, every adventure needs to end, and he is finally able to go back home to the world of the living. Thanks to an extreme welcome back home, he was able to go back home.

He glanced up upward but couldn't rest, maybe it was the action from his previous battles or probably was the talking stuffed animal. Rumbling on the floor with a gag and tied up in white rope.

Ichigo glared down at the animal and had an annoyed look on his face. He stepped on the living object, making him spit out the white gag, and glared up at Ichigo.

"What the heck is wrong with you? Uh, I have been taking over your position in the living world while you were off, saving dear old, beautiful Rukia!" This was Kon a mod soul and currently, he was not having a good time. Ichigo rolled his eyes and wasn't amused.

"You went around town hitting on girls, you don't think I would be mad?" He asked. Kon growled in frustration.

"Geez this is the thanks I get for protecting her two sisters from much danger, oh how heartless of you Ichigo," Kon said trying to act like the victim. The young orange-haired delinquent responded only by stepping further into the toy.

"Yeah right," He said sarcastically. Kon quickly panicked.

"Wel you were gone. Some crazy stuff has happened I heard something strange like flying people with white hair. I think an earthquake hit the house and please stop stopping me!" Kon cried. Ichigo stepped off Kon and looked back at the ceiling.

"Fine… what did you hear?" Ichigo asked. It was clear that we were just bored and wanted to hear something. Kon could see this was his chance to possibly impress Ichigo.

"Well since you mentioned it, you won't believe all the crazy stuff I've been hearing and the news broadcast caught something supernatural and it wasn't a hollow or soul reaper-,"

Ichigo left mid-way when Kon spoke. before the young team could leave the room he looked behind at the mod soul.

"In a matter of three seconds, you've already boarded me. I'm gonna go downstairs and get some water,"

"You knucklehead just don't leave me here!" Kon said. Ichigo closed the door behind him. He began to walk downstairs and he walked down to the kitchen. The closer he got to the doorway he heard talking it sounded like his little sister Yuzu but there was another voice.

"Yuzu is that you?" He called out. He picked out of the doorway and could see his little sister standing there nervously while right beside her was an Irish wolfhound. Its white fur is bright and neatly brushed out. There was a purple collar around its neck, with a golden tag in the shape of a crown.

"Yuzu did you get a dog?" Yuzu begins to sweat nervously. She stood motionless, like a statue, even the animal in the room stood still. Looking at Ichigo.

"Yuzu are you okay?" He asked, seeing how tense her sister was.

"Yes, everything's fine…. his name is, uh, Jorgen. Say hi boy!" She spoke quickly.

"Uh, bark,"

"Yuzu you might wanna take that thing to the vet, it sounds like a person," He said walking past Yuzu and grabbing a cup and getting his fill of water.

"Hey does Dad know about this?" He asked. Yuzu shyly looked away and down at the floor. Ichigo let out a loud sigh.

"Yuzu just make sure you are careful, If you need help just let me know,"

Ichigo walked upstairs. To want to deal with all the family drama of getting a dog, yeah, you couldn't help but think how big it was. He was sure Yuzu would be found, she always did have a way with animals.

Yuzu glanced at Jorgen with a surprised look.

"That's your best impression of a dog!" She yelled in a loud whisper.

"Hey, I'm a wish-making fairy, not an actor!" Jorgen said back.
