Chapter 12: Isane is a girl.

Waking up for school was usual for Keigo. Still, he got up, put on his shoes, and walked his route. Keigo walked with a lazy slouch. He didn't feel like doing anything after what happened the last couple of days.

He didn't eat any breakfast. It was just strange knowing what he did. He killed someone, but he had a good reason. However, that feeling didn't leave him. He had to live with that. People were dying and had to stop it, but would he do it again?

Keigo looked at his phone, seeing a new message popping up, he didn't recognize the number. He opened up the phone after seeing the message.

"Hey, Keigo, it's me, Kisuke, I wanted to let you know that Yankii will be staying here for a while. He's been informing me about how ghosts work. Granted, it has cost me my drink stock, but it's worth it. Also, he wanted to let you know training will be at my shop tomorrow,"

Keigo nodded and was glad that he was getting back on the saddle. It might have been quick, but if this Aizen guy was bad, as they said, he needed to be stronger. Not to mention, he couldn't find his ghost power. It was starting to get on his nerves. He was still doing the basics, and monsters that were killing people were running around, which made him furious.

Keigo stopped when he overheard the power lines above him growing louder but didn't notice. He slowly let out a calm breath and continued on his path getting angry wasn't going to help. Still, the irritation stuck with him like a tick.

On top of bundling, a specter, unlike any other, was watching from afar as his binoculars came out of his arms and he studied his prey. The ghost body was bolted together with rivets formed to make a muscular figure. He wore a blank tank top, gray camo shorts, and black metal boots. The metal head had ghostly green fire sprouting from the back of his head, forming a mohawk. Under his chin was a flaming green goatee.

The ghost cast a sinister smile. "So this is the ghost boy, my employer said, what an excellent hunt you'll make,"

Keigo was tempted to fly to school, but he wanted to take his time. Walking through the entrance gate. Many students poured into the school as Keigo straddled the schoolyard. Keigo's eyes caught a friend walking by his side.

Mizurio walks with his head down, texting away on his flip phone.

"Hey, Mirzurio! Still texting that American girl," Keigo joked. Muzurio didn't speak to his friend and continued walking away. Keigo was befuddled as he continued to follow along with his friend.

"You doing okay?" Keigo asked. Muzurio let out a sigh.

"Sorry, I don't talk to delinquents to skip out on school," He said calmly. Keigo gawked and pointed an accusation finger.

"Oh, don't act like that, you've skipped some classes too!" Keigo shouted.

"Yes, but at least I answered back my friend's text message, Asano," Muzurio said as he was offended. Keigo gritted his teeth in annoyance. Keigo was stumped at the accusation and felt like a horrible friend.

"Wait, let me apologize!" Keigo was run over by Muzurio. Both of them found their way into the building and were about to head up the staircase. Until a shadow loomed over him. Keigo paused and looked up, seeing someone tall falling his way. The person was very tall, Keigo stepped out of the way and held out his arm. He feared that his arms would just fail, but to Keigo's surprise, they didn't, catching the person.

Keigo stumbled a bit but found his footing. "You okay, dude, that looked pretty… bad,"

The young teen was finally able to see who this tall stranger was. She had gray eyes and short, messy silver hair with strands on the right side of her face that were shoulder-length and styled as two thin braids, with two more on the back of her head. What Keigo picked on while looking at her was simple. Many of the students in the hall paused. Seeing the two was very strange, the class clown Keigo holding some new tall, beautiful student.

"Hmm, I could swear you looked like a man from behind," Keigo said out loud. The sound of slaps echoed through the halls. Keigo's right cheek was stinging red with a hand mark. He slowly looked down with an irritated face. The girl looked offended and quickly gripped the railing and stood alone.

"And for the record, just because I'm tall, that doesn't make me a man!" She said, fluttering with embarrassment. Keigo glared up the steps, took a deep breath, and rubbed his sore cheek. Muzurio smirked and laughed at Keigo.

"Well, I guess the universe gets payback for me," Muzurio smiled. Keigo glanced back at his glare.

"Don't act like this is justice, and I bet you were just texting that Jenny girl all day!" Keigo shouted. Muzurio smirked and nodded.

"Guilty as charged, I wonder who that girl is, she looks new," Muzurio said. Keigo huffed in anger.

"I'm going to go to class, so have a nice day," Keigo said, storming up the steps. Muzurio watched as Keigo stormed up the steps.

"Man, he's cranking today," Muzuiro said.

Keigo had marched through the halls, seeing his classroom was ahead. Still rubbing his sore cheek. He just wanted a normal day. Walking, he couldn't help but overhear a bit of a commotion. Smirking that the class was already having fun without him.

He ran towards the door and opened the sliding handle.

"What's going on here…" Keigo froze as he opened the door, seeing a bald individual standing in front of the door, wearing a school uniform. He carried a wooden sword over his shoulder and glared a murderous glare at Keigo. The worst part was that this student was taller and scary.

"Hey," Keigo said in a shaky voice. The man didn't greet Keigo back. He bent forward and glared at him.

"Who are you? What are you looking at?" He asked angrily. Keigo gulped and let out an awkward chuckle.

"I'll beat you, stretch you, play rock-paper-scissors, fry you up like tempura and eat you!" The threat made Keigo gulp until he paused and listened to the man's words.

"Uh, that was oddly specific, kinda sound like you were hungry," Keigo said honestly. Which the other didn't take too lightly.

"That's it! I'm going to beat- ACK!" The man was slapped from behind his head.

"Leave him alone, bullet head. I swear, Ikkaku, you're such a child," Keigo looked around the man to see his savior. She wore a school uniform, but her breasts were big, and she showed some cleavage, Her long and wavy orange hair, blue eyes, full lips, and a beauty mark located under the right side of her mouth. Made her look stunning. She had a curvaceous figure, which was her most distinctive. Dressed in the school uniform but made it look sexy.

"Rangiku, that hurt!" Ikkaku cried out. Rangiku scoffed at the man.

"Stop whining and simmer down, or I'll tell Yachiru," She said. The instant that name was mentioned, Ikkaku froze in fear.

"What? But they called me… don't tell on me, please," Ikkaku tough guy façade was quickly put down. Ranigkiu smirked at her handy work.

"That's better," She then turned two to three others in the room. "Come on, you idiots, we're getting out of here!"

The three men were all dressed up in school uniforms. The first was Hitsugaya, who looked to be extremely irritated with his lieutenant. The other has brown eyes and long crimson hair, which is usually kept in a high ponytail. He had tribal tattoos on his forehead, and some could be seen from under his shirt.

The last one seemed to be a bit flamboyant and braid hanging down the right side of his face. He has feathers protruding from his hair on both sides of his head. Also, both his eyes now sport extended lashes,

Keigo thought this was a Cavalcade of strange people, heck, his perverted side was gawking at Rangiku's body. He would have jumped at the opportunity to jump and extend his luck to see he was lucky, but he stopped when he noticed a familiar tall girl hiding in the back.

"Hey, it's you again," Keigo pointed out. The tall girl looked away, trying not to acknowledge Keigo's existence. Rangiku, with a curious face, looked at the tall girl.

"Hey, Isane, you know this guy?" She asked. Keigo paused hearing the name, noting it because he had a score to settle.

"Well, he caught me before I could fall on the steps," She remarked but still had a blush of embarrassment. Rangiku had a mischievous smile on her face.

"Oh my, I see. So this boy caught you're interested, uh," Rangiku asked, teasing her friend. Isane blushed brighter but more out of shame.

"No, like I would ever go out with some jerk like him!" Isane said in a heated tone, yet she was incredibly gentle, making it sound like she rarely got angry. Keigo's anger snapped and pointed at Isane.

"Yeah, whatever, gorilla hands! You were who smacked after I graciously saved you from the stairs!" Keigo yelled back

"Only after you said out loud that you thought I was a man," Isane argued back.

"Well, you certainly hit like one!" Keigo said, walking up to her. Keigo found himself standing in front of the girl, even if she had a full foot on him. Keigo didn't like the way he was treated.

"Listen up, I can deal with the back sass and the insults, but I draw the line when you hit someone who helped you! My cheek still hurts because of you!" Keigo pointed to the red hand mark. Isane quickly looked away and had a tinge of guilt.

"So apologize, and I'll forgive you!" Keigo said with a serious voice. Even if he didn't sound like he was upset, he was tired of being pushed around.

"Sorry," Isane said quietly like a mouse's whisper. Keigo scoffed and turned his back to her. He noticed a lot of his other classmates were standing in the back, almost afraid to move. He wonders what's up with them.

"As I suspected, no apology-" Keigo paused at what he heard and spun back at Isane.

"What did you say?" Keigo asked. Isane uncomfortably grabbed her arms.

"I'm sorry, okay, it's just rude to what you said," Isane said. Keigo found himself at a loss here. He was so used to being everyone's ragdoll or being thrown across the room that you never really heard an apology afterward. He could see this girl wasn't like the other friends he had. This wasn't some high school shenanigans, but he noticed that he offended her.

"Uh, thanks… Sorry, I called you man, it's just I've never really seen a girl your height before," Keigo said back. Isane looked back at the teen in shock.

"Well, most people would agree," She said shyly. Keigo felt awkward seeing Isane was still avoiding eye contact with him.

"Here, let's start over, my name is Keigo Asano," He said, reaching out his hand to shake. Isane paused and looked back at the hand, feeling more embarrassed than angry. Still, she grabbed Keigo's hand and awkwardly shook it.

"Hmm, my name is Isane Kotetsu… Sorry, I hit you," She apologized. Keigo smiled and scratched the back of his head.

"Oh, it's alright, I've been hit a lot harder in the past."

Isane looked back, seeing a gentle smile welcoming her. "I'll try to be more careful on the steps next time,"

"Hey, it's fine, Oh Yeah, have you seen a tall guy with orange hair walking around? I was hoping to see him today; he usually gets here before me to class."

Isane was about to speak when Renji cut her off.

"You just missed him, he needs some time off, so give the guy some space," He said, walking out the door as the others followed. Isane looked back at them and Keigo. Apologetically bowing towards him.

"I'm sorry, but I have to go," Isane said, following them out of the room.

"Uh, that was wired. Keigo thought,"

"You just missed it. Those guys just took Ichigo, but you and I need to talk," Tatsuki said behind him. Keigo spun around and gulped. Ghost powers or not, he was pretty sure I was going to get his butt handled.

"You, me, and the roof," Tatsuki said. Walking out of the room made Keigo feel nervous.

"Uh, you know we should probably wait until class starts," Keigo said in a shaky voice.

"NOW, KEIGO," Tatsuki shouted. Keigo slucked and muttered to himself.

"Okay, Jeez. Take a chill pill."

"I HEARD THAT!" Tatsuki shouted. Keigo panicked and followed her out of the room.

"Sorry, coming Tatsuki!"

Captain Soi Fon and Komamura were walking through a dark hall. They were deep underground, walking past the sum of Soul Society, People so bad that death was a mercy too much of a mercy. Still, Soi Fon detested this whole place. Finding many of the prisoners here to be unsavory and better off dead. So she carried an annoyed face the entire time.

Her fellow Captain was calm and didn't let this place bother him. He had his element off, showing his wolf face to everyone in the prison. This made some prisoners commit at his face, but he didn't care about them. They were escorted by two guards wearing sacred white clothing and red spears.

They were on the fourth level, but the person of their interest was on the final level of this jail. This was the maggot's nest, one of the worst places to be in Soul Society. One of their candidates was here, of all places.

"Soul Society has lost its mind," Soi Fon said.

"We cannot judge the choice of the head of the royal guard; his wisdom is strange, but we must put faith into it," Komamura said. Soi Fon scoffed at the remark.

"Please, that crazy monk, too busy guarding the Soul King, what would he know, especially grabbing some great ninja from history."

Komamura glanced at her, seeing that she had done some prior research on their target. Soi Fon was the leader of the stealth core.

"So, what did you find out about him?" Komamura asked.

"Tsh, nothing except old tales, Fuma Kotaro was a ninja of great leadership and cunning. They say he was a master of stealth and was a master with the Kusarigama. He was unstoppable during the Edo period but was captured and beheaded," Sof Fon said plainly. "Still, I'm sure he was great during his time in the world of the living, but none that matters once you reach the soul society."

"I agree but still, our target to end up here is strange, wouldn't you say?" Komamura asked.

'Hmm, maybe you're on to something, but I refuse to respect some random assassin from the way of old," Soi Fon said. Komamura understood he wasn't so keen on getting aid from a criminal, but Azien had to stop at all costs.

The group had made it to the end of the hall and reached a dark staircase. The guards held their positions on each side of the doorway.

"This is as far as we go, level five of the prison isn't even safe for us down there. You are captains of the Soul Society, but be careful, the only thing keeping those animals down there is each other," The guard on the right said.

"We can't help you no matter what, so get the prisoner and leave," The guard on the left said.

Komamura nodded at the two and respectfully bowed to them. "Thank you for your help."

Soi Fon just walked off down the stairs, not taking the guard's advice seriously. Komamura followed behind. They walked down the steps, and both could feel the thick spiritual energy in the room, the two had paused for a moment, thinking it was on the same level as themselves or even beyond.

"What was that? Soifon asked out loud. "It could have been multiple people, right? They did say multiple people were here,"

"Let's just keep going," Komamura said stoically. Walking past Soi Fon, who followed behind.

The steps were becoming more long and arduous. The wall started to have old and new blood marks. The smell of death filled their nose. The Darkness around them started to become pitch black. Soi fon had to stop from dry heaving. They still marched down the long steps, Komamura felt like this was a staircase to hell.

After a full hour passed, they reached a large doorway. They could see ahead was the Shinto gate, it was white, but Komamura left something off, He looked at the gate and realized something was off. Looking further at the gate, Komamura was disturbed by what he was looking at. If he hadn't given it a second thought, he would have been spared, but at a closer inspection.

This holy object was covered in tar and covered in teeth. It was the small cracks of black and the off-color of white that made Komamura question what he was looking at.

"Are those teeth?" Soi Fon asked in horror.

The entries were so dark that even Komamura, being a wolfman, wasn't able to see into the darkness despite having night vision. It was almost like staring into the abyss, and Komamura didn't like it.

Komamura was disgusted by the sight, while Soifon was at a loss for words.

"What the hell is this." Stopping herself from gawking again. She wondered how this place could even be allowed to happen. She had been to this place before just as the level, and yet there were eight more levels to go. What other horrors were in the maggot's nest?

Komamura was at her side as his hand hovered over his weapon. Soi Fon looked at her fellow captain, seeing he was getting ready for battle.

"What are you doing?" She asked. Komamura glanced ahead, picking up people approaching them. The smell of blood and the echo of steps gave them away to the wolfman He could see out of the darkness.

"Reveal yourself now," Komamura yelled into the abyss. Soi Fon felt the spiritual energy of many, but a figure stepped out into the dim lights, he wore an old red battle suit of samurai armor. His power was low, but the bloodlust in his eyes made the two captains feel on edge. This man would just run at him with senseless rage and try to kill him, even if it meant he would die.

"What brings two captains of the Soul Society to this place," He asked. The lost warrior curiously tilted his head. "Captain Unohana is the only one who used to come here for fun, but you two don't look like the type to kill for fun."

Soifon looked at the man with a stern front.

"Are you one of the guards, We need to see a prisoner called Fuma Kotaro," Soi Fon asked. The only response that she received was a chorus of laughter from the abyss. Komamura knew there were more people in the shadows. Soifon gripped her hand and glared at the man.

"What are you laughing about!" Soifon asked. The laughter stopped when the old samurai raised his hand the laughter stopped.

"You didn't listen to what the guards said. There are no guards in this level of the maggot's nest, the only authority we understand down here is strength." In a moment of silence, hundreds of people began to walk out from the abyss, all of them holding crude and old weapons. Komamura could see at least a hundred men standing in front of them, but he could still hear more approaching.

"This level of the Maggots Nest further holds only the warriors of the past, those who still wish to fight!"

They were outnumbered a thousand to one. Komamura then had an idea, be it inner instinct or cunning. The people had only listened to the strongest so he would demonstrate his power. Standing infront of Soi Fon pulling out his zanpakutō, Komamura. The wolfman let out a stingy battle cry and let out a wave of spiritual power, making some of the old soldiers kneel.

"MY NAME IS KOMAMURA, AND I WISH TO SEE THE WARRIOR KNOWN AS FUMA KOTARO! SHE HAS BEEN CHOSSEN TO BE A NEW CAPTAIN!" Komamura yelled out his heart, showing his power and warrior spirit.

The old samurai slowly put their swords away and stood up straight as if their lords were standing in front of them.

"We will listen to your request, wait here, and we will be back," The old red samurai walked in the abyss out of Komamura sites while the others followed. Soifon watched with utter surprise at how those thugs had listened to Captain Komamura.

"How did you make them listen?" Soifon asked. Komamura looked back with a plain face.

"It's a top dog thing, Captain Soifon."

"D-Did you just make a joke?" She asked in shock.

"Let's wait here until they come back. I'm sure they won't take too long,"

"Next time, don't insult me like that, I thought we would have to fight an army of criminals."

In the world of the living. Keigo sat on the floor of the school. He glanced up at Tatsuki, who glared at him. Keigo let out an awkward laugh, seeing the stern face she had. He knew what she wanted, but at the end of the day, we could come clean.

"It's funny, I thought you would be talking to Ichigo about all this stuff," Keigo said. Tatsuki sadly glanced down at the floor.

"I knew he wouldn't say anything," She said. Keigo couldn't help but think that's what Ichigo would do, lying to protect his friend.

"So come to me, I'll be honest, I'm not good at lying. Okay, then hit me, what's your first question?" Keigo asked honestly. Tatsuki smiled, seeing that Keigo was going to be nothing but honest. She sat down on the roof and quietly looked at

"What happened to you, Keigo, I mean, before the summer break, you were so silly and carefree. Now I see how mature you've become, but not in a good way," Tatsuki then carefully studied her friend. Keigo held his head down in shame.

"You looked so sad when you were fighting that guy. I was afraid of what I was looking at. You were so cold and angry that you almost killed that guy," Tatsuki said. Keigo held his head, trying not to remember.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, it's just after everything that happened! I couldn't let him get away with that; he would kill Ichigo!" Keigo spoke, trying to defend himself. Tatsuki knelt by his side and then swiftly gave him a hug. Keigo paused at the action and didn't know what to do. Tatsuki was the toughest girl she ever knew, but here she was, hugging him.

"You big idiot, it's okay. I'm not mad at you. I'm worried," Tatsuki's eyes held nothing but concern as Keigo couldn't put up this happy façade any longer. He gripped his fist and lowered his head.

"Tatsuki, I'm sorry for not telling you guys sooner, it's just didn't know what to say!" Keigo said.

"Then maybe you can start from the beginning. I'm here to listen and help my friend." She sat by him and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Keigo, what happened to you?"

Keigo let out a sigh and took a deep breath. "It happened this summer break. I was stuck at home, and my sister kicked me out and told me to do something. I ended up walking to that abandoned part of town."

"Wait, you mean that part of town where that family went missing and everything blacked out?" She asked, knowing what Keigo was talking about.

"Yep, I was trying to find a cool story to tell you guys when we returned from summer break. I went to investigate one of the old buildings. Turns out it used to be a place where this family studied ghosts. I even put on one of the old jumpsuits and walked into a big machine. Turns out the on switch was inside of it."

Keigo paused and remembered the last part as it happened yesterday.

"After I turned it on, it was nothing but green hell. The energy that went through my body was painful. It felt like my body was ripped apart and stitched right back together..." Looking deeply at Tatsuki with a sacred look.

"I died that day, then I was back up, and I was like this,"

Keigo stood up and transformed into his ghost form. Showing off the jumpsuit and his black hoodie. Tatsuki glanced at Keigo with utter shock. Even though she had already seen Keigo in this form, it was weirdly angelic, but the glowing green eyes belonged to another world. To have those eyes set upon her was chilling.

"What are you?" She asked with a tone of voice full of wonder. Keigo smiled at her reaction, saying she wasn't afraid.

"Well, I'm not alive but not dead either, so I guess I'm in between."

"That's cool, also a little bit confusing, but what was the deal with those guys in the park?" She asked.

"Those were guys called hollows they eat souls, and they were here to test the others to see if they were a threat to this Aizen guy, but they weren't exactly expecting me, and then Chad-"

"Keigo, it's okay I think I have any idea about what's going on here," She said, not wanting to hear an entire hour's worth of world-breaking information.

"So I don't have to explain Soul Reapers and all that other junk about ghosts," Keigo said. He then transformed back into his normal human form.

"Oh no, I'm still confused, but I'm glad you're at least telling me these things to help me think I'm not going crazy," Tatsuki said with a smile. Then she grabbed Keigo's shirt and tossed him over his shoulder, making him shout in pain.

"What was that for!" Tatsuki looked down at Keigo with a stern face.

"Starting today, I'm going to help you with your jujutsu and teach you about some karate. Your form was so sloppy I'm surprised those guys didn't even take advantage of it. So are you gonna cry all day, or do you actually wanna learn how to kick some serious butt?" She asked.

"Uh, fine, just please don't send me to the infirmary. Had enough damage done to me yesterday." He said. Tatsuki smirked and helped him up.

"Sorry, no promises," Tatsuki felt happy, if she wasn't able to help, Ichigo, maybe this knucklehead could help her.

Keigo, for the rest of the school day, didn't see much of Chad and Ichigo. He did see Orihime, but she was quiet. He knew Chad was still recovering from his injuries, and Ichigo was kidnapped by those new kids, which made Keigo confused.

It was strange he didn't see Shinji again, but it seemed that he may have gotten what he wanted. He wasn't going to question it but still, today flet off to him.

After the major butt-whooping from Tatsuki, Keigo just wanted to go home. This day was killing him.

Eventually, the sun had started to set, and school was over. Keigo and Mizurio were walking back to their respective homes, but they took the same route.

Keigo was aimlessly following his friend. What was he going to do? Keep fighting ghosts all his life. He had to protect this town from his mistakes. He still doesn't know how many more ghosts are out. Now has to worry about Arrancar, maybe he should go over to Kisuke.

"I mean, Kisuke seems smart but feels like he doesn't have all the answers. Yankii is a good mentor, but he's not a good ghost. I wish there were somebody in this town who knew about ghosts… wait, I could go to Vlad he might know something about trapping ghosts, he did know the Fentons," Keigo's thoughts were interrupted. He felt a cold west, believing his mouth, realizing a ghost was nearby. Quickly, he looked around, seeing if anything was off even his ghostly vision couldn't pick up anything.

It was strange he would always pick up on something, but it would immediately disappear. Maybe his mind was playing tricks on him.

"Hey, Keigo, are you okay?" Mizurio asked, however, his attention was still on his phone. Keigo quickly straightened himself out, realizing he was acting a bit strange.

"Nothing wrong him me, just you know, doing normal stuff." The awkwardness in the air was set, it was a good thing that Mizurio didn't care.

"Stop acting weird, or I'm gonna leave you by yourself," Mizurio said. Keigo nodded, he inwardly told himself to relax. He wasn't going to fight any specters or ghouls today was just going to go home and relax. Knowing police alarms are going off, or explosions are things we're gonna be safe. Then he glanced up and saw a flying hollow up above, he was told about them, but seeing one of them was a little strange. The white bird-like mask and the hole in the middle of its body representing where its heart used to be was a bit strange.

He wasn't going to worry about it. This was going to be his night to relax. He will handle the problems tomorrow.

Unknown Keigo while he looked away from the creature. A silent energy blast strikes the creature from behind the head. Killing it instantly as it dissolved into nothing.

Skulker glanced from far away in the sky. He smiled and turned invisible. The game of his prey wouldn't be interrupted by any silly creatures. A hybrid like Keigo would be the center gemstone on his crown of victory.

"Time for the hunt, ghost boy," Skulker said.

However, in the distance, the fabric of reality begins to tear, and walking out of the black maw of the abyss is smiling Grimmjow. Along with his underlings, looking at the town beneath them. Thinking how much fun they would have.

Meanwhile, in the soul society.

Captain Soifon waited patiently for these prison scum to bring out this ninja. Komamura sat patiently on the floor, his head lower.

It had been four hours since they had discussed things with those criminals. Soifon was starting to lose patience.

"How can we trust them, their monster," She simply stated.

"They are soldiers without a cause, the wars they have been in. Had lasting effects on them. This is all that they know, so they are brought here to keep fighting for themselves. They are ruthless, but they still have honor, I could sense that feeling among them, so please don't put your faith in them put your faith in me, captain," Komamura said calmly. Soifon huffed and looked away from the dogman. She was prideful but not arrogant.

"I beat this fuma. He is already dead in that prison. He was an old ninja from a bygone era. I'm sure he was incapable of learning new tricks. I bet he was out of his class the moment he tried to join the Soul Academy and became a mercenary, which ended up getting him here," Soifon said with frustration. Komamura's ears twitch slightly as he hears someone approaching them. While also picking up a whiff of smoke.

"I wouldn't be too sure about that," A very deep, feminine voice called out from the Abyss. The two captains stood up and had their weapons at the ready.

"Hmph, is that how you saw reapers call out prisoners, ask them to make a long journey here, and threaten them with your weapons? How low class of you." A stride of footsteps began to stroll out of the abyss. Soifon and Komamura were both confused about the person who walked out.

A domineering woman with very well-defined musculature, a svelte visage, long voluminous flame-colored hair, ruby-colored eyes, and red tattoo-like markings underneath both eyes, around the tops of her ample bosom and lining each bicep. She has a distinct and very revealing attire, featuring a white haori over a form-fitting black crop top that exposes her underboob and toned physique, tied by a red-and-white rope belt and form-fitting black leg garments with stylized wedges.

She smiled pridefully at both of them. "What, were you expecting a man?"

She took a long puff and blew out a cloud of smoke. She walked out of the shadows and showed an expression of interest.

"Wait, you're not Fuma Kotarō. He was a male who died in an ambush. You are not even an old man, what rambling are you speaking," Soifon said. She smirked at the petite woman and took another proud whiff of her pipe.

"Where did you get your description of me?" She asked.

"We were told only the name of Fuma Kotarō, that was-"

"Exactly, you were only told a name, description of my age, gender, or what I look like. However, you were told of my location, which means that the source was from up top itself, wasn't it? So unlike you, little miss leader of the stealth voice, I'm good at what I do so good you don't even know of my greatest acts. Because that's how an assassin works. I am a ninja who flew to the top. So do yourself a favor and drop the attitude. Then, tell me what you want?" Fuma said with a stern front. Soifon wouldn't be so carelessly disrespected by a criminal and quickly used her flash step. disappearing from both Fuma and Komamura's sight.

Soifon reappeared right in front of Fuma, ready to kick the giant woman in the head.

"Captain Soifon, no!" Komamura protested.

The captain of the stealth force is a leader who has been trained to kill and fight one of the top captains of the Soul Society. One of the most dangerous individuals in soul society. Found the back of her neck gripped and yanked out of the air like she was a cub. A sharp point of a smoking pipe pushed up against her neck. Soifon found herself being stopped by Fuma, who held a smile as she had her by the throat.

"Now, there's a common misconception when it comes to assassinations: it's only stealth and speed. That is, unfortunately, incorrect. There is a need for patience, a steady hand, and timing. With those three aspects of killing, you could kill a person in broad daylight, and no one would bat an eye," Fuma brought herself close to Soifon's face, the blank stare in the giant woman's stare made her freeze. These are not the eyes of a woman but of a killer, a predator who feasted on the living.

"I'm disappointed that you're the leader of the assassins of the Soul Society, so I'm going to ask before I show you how I became the best killer around," Fuma said, pushing her pipe deeper into her neck, drawing a prick of blood. It was then the Fuma found another blade pressed toward her neck. Seeing Soifon had her blade against her neck.

"Unhand me at once, criminal," Soi Fon said with a venomous hatred. Fuma was completely unfazed by the action and pushed her neck into the blade.

"Hmm, let's see who's better," She said with a twisted sadistic smile.

The two stared at each other, wondering who would finish the other first would Fuma's throat be slit first, or rather Soifon's throat be punctured by a smoking pipe.

"That is enough from both of you! Cease this foolish action, Soi Fon. Do not dare bring shame to yourself!" Komamura then moved closer and walked towards the two. Looking Fuma dead in the eye, with a stern front.

"We were sent here to bring you back to the Soul Society, for you, Fuma Kotarō, have been selected to take a seat up on the thirteen-court guard squad, we are not here to fight but ask that you aid us in our battles!" Komamura shouted. The large space was full of silence.

Soifon was dropped as she landed back on the ground and slowly backed away to Komamura's side.

"Alright, I'll join you guys in anything to kill my boredom," Fuma said, making Komamura's jaw drop at how fast she answered. Soifon wasn't surprised, thinking it was just another way for this criminal to get out of jail.

"Tsh, like I expect anything different from a scum like you," Soifon said.

"Oh, well then, I'm glad you accepted this-"

Komamura was cut off when he felt the top of her head being rubbed.

"Besides, how could I object to an offer from such a handsome man?" Komamura said, flabbergasted at what he heard. Fuma gave a sly smirk, gently traced her finger across Komamura's shoulder, and walked away from him. Heading for the staircase, Soifon glared at her.

"What are you doing?" She asked. Fuma spun around, having a sassy pout.

"You are being the worst escort I've ever seen in my life, so either I walk out of this prison alone, or you do your job," Fuma walked up a step but stopped turning around.

"But if it makes you feel safe, the big fellow over there can give me a personal pat down," Fuma said with a seductive wink. Komamura was confused about how a human could look at a beast person and find them attractive.

"That won't be necessary, just please let us escort you," Komamura said.

"Hmph, your loss, hot stuff."

Komamura was a bit nervous but found Soifon lightly elbowing him in the side, gaining his attention. "Don't let her get to you. She's just trying to tease you."

"How do you know?"

Soifon cocky smirks at Komamura. "It's a stop cat thing,"

"Now you're the one making jokes," Komamura said.

"You Just make sure I don't murder her before we get back to head captain Yamamoto,"

Notes: Thank you for reading this chapter. So we meet the last candidate for the next captain. Fuma Kotarō I chose was from Tenkaichi; it was a fun twist on the legendary ninja. Keigo's new ghost power is hinted at. While Skulker is also making moves, Grimmjow is starting to make his personal list to the town, oh, what a next chapter to come. So, with all that said, I shall reveal Keigo's love interest that it is Isane. I've always liked her, but I feel she was just always in the background, but not this fic. Today, in the background, she gets the key role. So, I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. The next one won't be out for a little bit. Also, Keigo Phantom has a TV tropes page, which is amazing work done by the Disquieting one. Make sure to give him thanks. I'll see you guys next time until then, peace.
