Spotted Easter Feline
It was Easter Sunday and Wonder Woman was on an undercover mission. Her arch-nemesis, Cheetah had been spotted at an Easter celebration charity event, hosted by a rich scientist who was an expert on big cats. The event was to raise money for the expansion of the cheetah enclosure at the local wildlife park.
Diana attended the party in a crystal teal dress and her hair done up in a bun. As she chatted with the guests, she looked around for the feline criminal, knowing it was only a matter of time before she struck without mercy.
"Oh Bruce, you charmer."
Her eyes widened upon hearing the name. She turned around only to a young man with blond hair in his twenties, talking with his redhead girlfriend. Diana groaned quietly. Although she had come to accept his decision and was happy for both of them, she was still bothered that Bruce Wayne and Zatanna Zatara were dating. He hadn't been the first man she developed romantic feelings for, but out of all the ones she had, Bruce was the one she felt closest to. His charms, his kind heart, it made her heart flutter. She had given him hints, but he never seemed to take them, but looking back she began to wonder if he had but only saw her as a friend or work colly. Then on the day, His and Zatanna's relationship got exposed to the public, it made the Amazonian furious, so much so that she almost broke a statue... and if she was honest, heartbroken.
"Excuse me, Diana Prince?"
She brought back to reality by a voice. She turned to see the scientist, Dr. Kathrine Eisenberg, approach her.
"Dr. Kathrine, it's a pleasure to meet you in person." Diana offered her a hand, which the scientist accepted.
"The feeling is mutual."
Kathrine was a tall woman with long legs, short chestnut hair, white skin, a curvy figure, and small framed glasses resting on her small nose. She wore a yellow dress with black spots that showed off her cleavage.
"I was hoping to talk with you. It's about Cheetah..."
"I know, that such magnetic animals can go from zero to sixty in three seconds. They're unique from other cats, Acinonyx jubatus' claws are non-retractable, allowing them to grip the ground when chasing after prey. The two at the park are a breeding pair, but their enclosure is too small. I'm hoping that I can raise enough to increase it to a more suitable size"
"No, not that kind of cheetah I meant..."
Suddenly from out of the shadows leapt the infamous feline villainess. Many of the guests fled, screaming and pushing to get to the doors. Diana grabbed Katherine by the hand and led her to the nearest exit. Cheetah leapt up and knocked Diana to the ground with a hard kick.
"You're coming with me, Ms. Eisenberg!" the villainess said before picking up the scientist and carrying her over her shoulder. Then, she jumped through a window.
Diana got up and followed. When she was out of sight, she spun around, transforming into her Wonder Woman outfit before continuing with her current task.
Katherine was chained to the wall, struggling to free herself to no avail. Cheetah chuckled wickedly as she circled her prisoner, her tail swishing with every step. A wicked grin painted her furry face.
"Unconformable Katherine?" Cheetah rhetorically asked.
"What is the meaning of this? What do you want from me."
Cheetah's expression turned sly, causing Katherine to feel more nervous than she already was. "I'm sure you aware of what I am? A human-cheetah hybrid, and of course you are a world-renowned scientist whose speciality is big cats."
"Correct, but what does that have to do with you kidding napping me?"
"Simple. You're going to help me with my plan."
"What plan?"
"It's brilliant, really. It to..."
"Release her at once Cheetah!"
She turned to see Wonder Woman.
"Wonder Woman, why must you always ruin my plans?" Cheetah snarled, baring her fangs with a hiss.
The two rivals prepared to battle it out. Wonder Woman with her shield and sword at the ready, Cheetah flexed her sharp claws. Katherine watched, her heart beating loudly with fear. After what seemed like forever to the scientist, the two began to fight.
Wonder Woman used her shield to block several fearsome attacks. The feline claws left deep marks on the shield. Seeing that this wasn't working Cheetah formed another plan of attack. She turned and ran up the wall before lunging at her adversary behind. Diana couldn't react quickly enough and was knocked to the ground in Cheetah's tackle. The villainess pinned the heroin down like a cat does when it's about to bite into the neck of its prey. A low growl escaped Cheetah's throat as she prepared to finish off her nemesis, but before she could, Wonder Woman managed to knee her in the groin. Cheetah groaned in pain, before being pushed off by Wonder Woman.
She quickly rushed over to Katherine. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine. She didn't scratch me or..." Katherine looked over Wonder Woman's shoulder, seeing Cheetah once again leapt towards the heroin with her claws ready to attack. "Look out!"
Wonder Woman turned quickly and punched Cheetah in the face, knocking her out cold.
"Thanks for saving me," Katherine said as Diana unchained her.
"Don't mention it. Thank you for warning me."
A month later, Katherine and Diana were at the wildlife park to open the new cheetah habitat.
"Thank you all who made this possible. I now declare this Cheetah habitat open." Katherine announced, cutting the red ribbon.
The audience clapped, among them was Diana in a cheetah-pattened dress. She approached Katherine, who was watching the two cheetahs as they explored the new area of their enclosure.
"I see you dressed for the occasion." Katherine teased, earning a chuckle.
"So, still a fan of cheetahs after everything that happened."
"Yes, as long as they are REAL cheetahs and not human hybrids."
They chuckled before going to join the rest of the guests, while the two cheetahs began to show affection for each other.
