Here is the new chapter 3.
They found a booth in the back of a bar that they come to when Luke is on planet. Luke looked around and as usual nobody paid them any attention.
"So, Luke, what have you been doing and what is with the new look?"
"You remember the talk we had a few months ago when you stopped by Yavin."
"Yea you were pretty worn out as I remember and suggested you take some time off to relax. Maybe come visit and spend time with the family."
"Look Han I would like nothing better to do then spend some time with you all but the way Leia has been lately. I didn't want the visit to be spent with her either trying to fix me up or deal with politics."
"Yea I know. She has her ideas and sometimes she gets to wrapped up in them to stop and ask if it is what others want for themselves. I have been trying to get her to take some time off and relax a little, but things have been busy as of late.
So, you asked me to meet you and keep it quiet. So, what's up?"
Luke took a breath. "I'm sure you have been wondering where I disappeared to when I left Yavin."
"I figured you were taking to time off like your message said and you would let me know when you were ready."
"I got a place that I go to about once a year. I'm not gone long. Just long enough to check on the place. The only one that has been there is Chewie. He helped me fix the place up."
"You are telling me that that big furball knew about your hide away and never said."
"Yea he and I started working on it while we were waiting on getting you back from Jabba. It's Ben's old place."
"Well, I got to hand it to you. Nobody would look for you on Tatooine. I guess Chewie's trip all of a sudden to see Malla was so he could go check up on you."
"Yea, he was waiting for me when I got there. He told me it was a good time to go see his family and decided to stop by and check on me on his way."
Both had a laugh at that since Tatooine was way out of the way. Both knew Chewie loved them all. We were part of his family so taking a side trip was not out of character for him.
"We also went and had a drink while he was there. I needed to get some supplies from Anchorhead and wanted to see what all was going on around there."
"How long are you planning on taking off?"
"I'm not sure. I will need to stop by the academy every so often, but I just want to take a break from everything for a while."
"I don't blame you. It seems like there is always something or someone trying to kill you."
"Well hopefully I can keep out of trouble for a while."
The two continued to talk for a while not even paying attention to how long they were there. Just enjoying a chance to hang out and swap stories.
They didn't even notice the group of four ruff looking aliens till they came up to their table.
"You're in our spot."
Both looked up "Listen pal. We have been here for a while, so go find another spot to sit." Han fired back.
Luke looked at them and figured they were just looking for trouble. "You might want to go hassle someone else before you all end up in a cell or worse a med center."
"Who do you think you are. There are four of us and two of you."
Han snorted. "If you wanted to start a fight with us you should have brought more men then."
One of the bigger and uglier ones tried to grab Han before he found himself thrown across the bar by Luke.
"Well so much for nobody knowing I am here."
Han just looked at Luke "You can never catch a break."
The other three final came out of their shock and attacked Luke and Han.

Leia had just got home and was greeting her kids when she felt a powerful force presents appear on the planet.
All three kids yelled out "Uncle Luke."

Mara was talking with Karrde when she stiffened all of a sudden.
"Mara, what is it?"
"Skywalkers is on the planet and seems to be in trouble."
Karrde hit the comm button on his desk. "Aves."
"Yea boss."
"Did Luke or Han say where they were going to have their drink. Because Mara just felt Luke and said he was in trouble."
"Lower levels some where they go when Luke is on planet."
"DAMN IT." Mara yelled out. "He just closed himself off again."
"Never mind Aves. What ever happen is over now. He hid himself in the force again."
"Well, were ever he is you can bet either there is medical personnel heading that way or local law. Maybe even both."
Karrde looked over at Mara, who seemed to be mad at the moment. Karrde wished Luke had managed to stay out of trouble a little longer because he had a furious redhead looking at him right now.

Luke looked around at the mess "Looks like we are going to have to find another place to come to when I am on planet now."
All four of the thugs were unconscious and in need of medical. Luke walked over to the bar and paid the man for the damages.
"Sorry about the mess." Luke told the man."
"No problem, Master Skywalker." seeing Luke's look. "I have known from the beginning. Most people who come here regularly probably know but figured you didn't want to be recognized. So come back if you and General Solo want to come back. Your always welcome. Also, things for taking care of them. They have been causing trouble around the lower areas."
"No problem. I will be back next time I'm on planet and have time." Luke then turned to Han, and they headed out.
He and Han walked out just a few minutes before the local constable showed up to arrest the four. All anyone would say was they messed with the wrong person this time.
"Now what?" Han asked his brother-in-law.
"I need to sneak back to my ship and take off before Leia or Mara find me. Both of them would have picked up on me being here when I threw that guy across the bar."
Han laughed "We did warn them they didn't have enough people to take us on."
"You know Chewie is going to be mad he missed that fight. I don't know who you are going to be in more trouble with Han. Leia for not telling her you were meeting with me or Chewie for getting in a bar fight without him."
"Thanks, a lot kid. Plus, you had the fight. I was just there."
The two just laughed as they headed back to Han's speeder. "I'll drop you off at your ship real quick. Hopefully you can be gone before you are spotted."
"Thanks Han. When Chewie gets back, he can bring you out and we can try this again. Comm first. Karrde gave me some information of an old associate that has been known to collect information. He said if I can find the guy, he might give me any information I'm looking for."
"OK Luke, just be careful."

They got back to the docking bay and Luke got out of the speeder and headed in real quick. R2 had the boarding ramp lowered and raised it again as soon as Luke was onboard.
Luke reached the cockpit and just sat down in the pilot's chair when he felt a force presents enter the bay. Looking up he saw Mara standing there looking none to happy at the moment.
He felt her reach out to him 'Skywalker, you better not even think about taking off.'
'Sorry Mara, I got to be heading out. Got a few places to visit.' Luke lifted off as Mara glared at his retreating form.
She didn't reply back, and Luke wasn't sure if he shouldn't just land back down. 30 minutes later it didn't matter as he entered hyperspace.

Mara returned to the Wild Karrde muttering about all the ways she was going to kill a certain Jedi Master when she caught up with him. First though she needed to finish her meeting with Karrde.

Han got back home and was jumped by his three kids. They were all going on about Uncle Luke. Leia walked in and gave him a look that said they would be talking later.

Luke arrived back on Tatooine a couple days later and parked the ship in the hanger bay. He would need to get a few more supplies before he headed out to the Kathol sector.
"R2, pull up all the data you can on the Kathol sector. I want to know what we are heading into before we head out in a couple days"
R2 gave him a couple beeps before pulling the information up on the monitor in his home.
"It is pretty far out there. Reports show a lot of pirates activity also."
R2 let out a bunch of beeps and whistles. Luke looked at his longtime friend.
"I'm sure we can handle it just fine on our own. Karrde did say Mara was heading that way also. So, if we get into too much trouble we can always see if she and Lando can give us a hand. Plus, that's why I had the ship modified the way I did."
Luke listens to R2's reply and shook his head. "R2 I'm sure we will be OK."

A few days later Luke and his droids were halfway there. Luke decided to stop off on Dagobah first. Luke didn't expect to find anything. He just wanted to look around to see if there was a spot that he could have a small training camp set up. He was thinking of setting up different training areas with different landscapes. This way the Jedi can learn to adapt to different conditions.
He landed where he did all those years ago. He had R2 stay on the ship while he walked around. The area he stayed in last time was fairly large flat area. He figured it would work out just fine as long as it didn't rain to much and flood the area.
"Return you have, I see."
"Luke turned around "Still sneaking up on people, I see."
Yoda's force ghost laughed. "Done well you have."
"Could have done better. Still learning."
"A Jedi never stops learning. Always new things to discover."
"Master Yoda, I am glad to see you again. I expect you are here for a reason than to just say hello."
The old Jedi Master sagged a little. "Time it is for you to know who your mother was. Family you still have. Wanted to tell you before but time ran out. Was not safe till the Emperor was gone."
"I have always wondered who she was. No one could tell me."
"A wonderful person she was. One who was greatly respected for her beliefs and her stand on what was right. Have many friends still alive but only a few knew the truth of her and your father."
"Who was she?"
"Padme Amidala Skywalker. She was the senator for the planet Naboo. Elected Queen of Naboo when I first met her on Tatooine. Though she was posing has a handmaiden at the time."
Luke turned and saw his father. "Father"
"Hello son."
"After all these years."
"I know you wanted to speak with me many times but I still needed to come to terms with what all I did."
"I understand"
"I am here now to tell you about your mother and also to ask you a favor."
"I will do what I can."
"Always quick to agree before even knowing what is needed." Yoda replied.
"Maybe, but if he was going to ask me something you did not agree with. You would have hit him with your glimmer stick already."
Yoda just game a "Hmmm". He also had a small smile on his face.
Anikin just looked at the old Jedi Master. "On the planet Mustafar, you will find my fortress there. When you go, do not go alone. There are many Jedi artifacts there that I collected over the years. Palpatine never knew. At least I don't think he did. Everything will be in a vault."
"Do I need to stop what I am doing now?"
"No, have time you do. Need to have friends with you when you go. Goto Mustefar when your current plans are finished."
"Unexpected allies you will gain in the near future. Will want to help you they will. Time for the war between the New Republic and the Empire to end. Must happen or all is lost. Time now for Anakin to tell you of your mother, it is." Yoda then faded away leaving Luke with his father.
"Let's go to your ship so we can sit and talk. Much I have to say, and I don't think you want to spend the whole time sitting on the wet ground."
They both walked to Luke's new ship. When they entered the cargo bay, Anikin headed to the Delta-7.
"These were good little ships. While they were classified has interceptors, they were also used by Jedi to travel around."
"A friend as a line on a bunch more. He is looking at seeing how many he can get me."
"I had several accounts on Coruscant that by all rights are yours now. I will let you know how to access them before I have to leave. Use them to help make the Jedi independent like you want."
"Thank you. I have over the year invested my money and my worth has grown. I have been using it to that end."
"You are a lot smarter than I was. You also have done well with finding friends that will stand by you."
They both headed up the stairs and sat at the table. "While I was alive, I knew Mara Jade. While I hated and did not trust her, at least in the end."
"The first time I met her she was a scared little girl who had only just arrived. Palpatine had already use the Darkside to erase what she knew of her family."
"Luke, you can trust her, also don't make my mistakes. Be honest with her. If I had been more honest and confided in your mother about my dreams and fears, she would have been able to help me from falling. Tell Mara how you feel. You may be surprised on how she reacts."
"Do you know who her family was and is there any record left. She has wonder where she has come from for so long, though I believe she has given up on knowing."
"When you find the place, you are looking for. See if there is any information about a Jedi by the name of Lynn Jade. She was a Corillian Jedi. I am not sure if she was married or who Mara's father is. You might also want to see if Rostek Horn knows. Importunely I don't know if Mara has any family left. Palpatine just showed up with her one day. I only knew her mother's name because Palpatine said he caught up with her and I didn't need to deal with her myself."
"Thank you, father, for letting me know. I know Mara will want to know even if she never says it."
