This is the last chapter I have finished writing. Chapter 13 is almost complete and should be up this week. Maybe tomorrow if I get any writing done. I got some things to do around the house I haven't got to because I was trying to get caught up some on my stories.
Leia and the Ruling Council were waiting on General Cracken and her brother. They had been delayed due to an emergency. Luke had received a call from Yavin 4 about what she did not know. She was brought out of her thoughts as the council room door opened and her General Cracken walked in.
"Welcome General Cracken, we are ready for your report, but where is Master Skywalker?"
"He is still dealing with the emergency. As to the emergency I will be happy to let you know what happen, then give the report that Master Skywalker and I prepared."
"Of course, General." replied Leia. She was curious to why Cracken was telling them about the emergency since it was Luke who was called.
"As this council is aware we kept certain aspects of the mission quiet as to not have any leaks. I did give this council a summery about what this meeting was about. Unfortunately, a certain senator could not keep quiet and the information about the Jedi frozen in carbonite was leaked. The location of where we decided to try to revive them was also leaked.
Master Skywalker is dealing with an incident that happen a few hours ago. It seemed a ship with a news team did not listen when told they were not permitted to land on Yavin 4. They ran the blockade and landed near the academy. Unfortunately, they landed in an area that had a no-fly zone because it was where they did training.
The ship came down in a hurry and ended up come down right in the middle of a training class of young children. The Jedi were able to keep any of the kids from being killed but a young girl was injured when struck by debris thrown up by the ship.
She was rushed to medical and is expecting to recover. She will be spending a few hours in Bacca and a week off training."
"I am assuming Master Skywalker is speaking with Yavin still about what else can be done to keep this from happening again?" asked Senator Kall Praget.
"No Senator. I took care of that and told the captains of the few New Republic ships we had there to give one verbal warning and if any ship tried to run the blockade that they were to be fired upon."
That started a bunch of arguing amongst the senators. Cracken let them argue for a few minutes before speaking again.
"Let me remind the council it was one of your members who cause this problem in the first place and because you all couldn't keep your mouths shut a young girl was injured. Be glad it is me you're dealing with because Master Skywalker takes the safety of his students seriously and is not happy with this council at the moment."
"Maybe if Master Skywalker had not decided to take the frozen Jedi to Yavin but brought them to a secure New Republic facility then we could have made sure that things were handled property." Borsk Fey'lya stated. Bringing to dead silence.
Nobody notice the Jedi Master Walk in the room in time to hear what was said. Luke let his anger show and threw the senator out of his chair with the force. He might have done more if Mara had not put a hand on his arm and calmed him down.
Fey'lya stood quickly with a little fear in his eyes. He looked at the door at an angry Jedi Master.
"Maybe Senator you will learn to keep your mouth shut for once. It was you who leaked the information. Which I am sure was no accident. Because of you, one of my students was injured so you might want to shut up and sit down before I really get angary."
"How dare you."
"Enough Senator." yelled an angary, Leia. "Sit down now. Master Skywalker while I sympathize with you. I will not allow you to man handle members of this council."
"Then maybe you should ensure that your council behaves in a manner that is becoming of their position." stated an angary, Mara Jade.
Cracken cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "Might I suggest we return to the reason we are here. Though I will add that I instructed the NRI to not brief Senator Fey'lya on any operations for the foreseeable future since he and his office cannot be trusted."
Fey'lya started to object before Leia stopped him. The way he was going and as angery as her brother was at the moment she was not sure what he would do. "Very well. General if you and Master Skywalker will start your briefing.
The two gave the briefing and also let the council know that they still had a lot of information to go threw before they were sure they knew everything. Cracken also informed them that he had the place destroyed.
"I can see why you took them where you did. I can't believe that most of the frozen Jedi are children." said an upset Senator Dall Thara Dru. "When will you try to revive the children?"
"We have only revived one of the Jedi at this time. We believe he was the first to be frozen and was one of the two adults. We want to make sure he is healthy and mentally able to handle waking after so long. Depending on how he reacts will depend on where we go from here."
"Are you saying if things don't go well, you might leave them as they are?" asked Senator Ben-Kihl-nahm.
"No, we will try to revive them all, but we will need to determine if more help is needed to be brought in before doing so." Luke told the council. We want to make sure that we can help them recover as best we can."
"Why not bring them here to Coruscant then. We would have everything you need here." ask Fey'lya
"Medically you are correct and if they were just non force sensitive beings then we would have. The issue is they are not. We took them to Yavin 4 where there is a more calming atmosphere. Here they would have to deal with all the feelings and emotions that are all around us.
On Yavin, there is not the Kaos you have here. We have only a small amount of people who are mostly Jedi. We don't know what will happen when they wake up. If they wake up and feel thousands of different emotions at one time it might overwhelm them. That won't be the case on Yavin."
"Master Skywalker, who was the Jedi you revived so far, and do you have any updates on how he is doing?" ask Fey'lya.
"We woke up Jedi Master Mace Windu. A former member of the Jedi Council. Master Ashoka Tano was gracious enough to stay on Yavin to help. She knew him during the time of the Old Republic.
As of the last report I received he is doing as well as expected. They have informed him of the highlights of what has happen since the fall."

Mace Windu was walking outside the temple with Ashoka. Cilghal finally consented to let his walk around but informed him if he tired, he was to return to his room.
"Master Cilghal reminds me of some of the Jedi healers from the old days."
"I think it is all healers and doctors in general that are like that."
"I will say it is peaceful here. Lot more so the Jedi Temple on Coruscant."
"It is the same way on Lothal. We are out far outside the city there."
"How is it that the two orders are separated?"
"Ours started a couple years after the war. We were able to find Ezra and brought him home to Lothal. After all he did to free his home, he didn't want to leave it again. So, we started a life there. We all stayed to help him.
From what I know when Master Skywalker started looking for Jedi Mon Mathma told him about Ezra and explained a little bit about his history. So, Master Skywalker decide to respect his wishes to remain on Lothal.
We heard about him starting a new order but didn't know if he was going to follow the old code or not, so was stayed in our little area. We decided that we were not going to train our Jedi as I was brought up. Like with Master Skywalker's order, we are allowed to have a family and keep contact with our birth family."
"What about attachments and how they can lead to the dark side?"
"It has not been an issue. Our attachments help keep us grounded in the light."
She went on to explain how she felt the old order was so disconnected to the galaxy around them and not told how to keep a balance with their feelings, that it caused more problems then solved.
With how the two orders train their Jedi now. They understand how to cope with their feelings and not bottle them up till they explode outward. She explained by them having families it gave them a reason to preform their duties better.
She also told him one of the biggest reasons Anikin fell was that he had no one he felt he could go to about his feelings he had towards Padme.
Windu listened and said he would consider her words. He said he would also like to observe how things were done here and maybe travel to Lothal also. She told him that Luke had to start with so little information that if he wanted to help that Luke would love to have any help he could give.
After a while Windu started to get tired. While he didn't want to return to his room, Ashoka insisted and reminded him of Cilghal instructions.

Mara decided to contact Karrde. He was still in orbit of Yavin 4 at the moment. It took a few minutes to reach him, but he finally answered.
"Mara what can I do for you?"
Mara took a breath. She was grateful for everything Karrde did for her, but she felt her life was heading in a different direction now.
"I have been doing a lot of thinking as of late. I am grateful for everything you have done for me, but I think it's time for me to take a different path now. Working with Luke lately has made me think about how much I lost because of Palpatine."
"Mara, I told you before that I would support you if you decided to leave the organization and do what you were born for.
I have had a feeling for a while that you would be taking this rout sooner than later. Aves as already started to take over a lot of your duties."
Mara was a little surprised "Thank you Karrde. With everything that is going on at the moment, I feel I am needed here."
"Remember we are still your friends, and you will always be welcome. Plus, it's not like we won't see you. I still supply all the academy's supplies."
"I know and if I need a break from Skywalker, I might take you up on that."
"Just do us a favor and invite us to the wedding."
"Now just wait one second Karrde, I didn't say anything of the sort."
"You didn't have to; I will talk with you later." with that Karrde disconnected before Mara could reply.

Col Vermer walked into his commanding officer's office who was also his friend, Admiral Pallaeon. The admiral waved him to a seat and he took his place across the desk from the admiral.
"Meizh, what do you have for me that is so important it couldn't wait?"
"Admiral, it seems the New Republic raided Mustefar."
"Why, what could they hope to find there."
"We don't know everything but from what we gather it was a joint operation between NRI and the Jedi. It also seems that both General Cracken and Master Skywalker both lead the operation."
With that information presented to him the admiral sat there for a minute. "How sure are you that both of them lead the raid?"
"We have been able to confirm that. We don't know everything as of yet. The news media have reported on what ships and units they believe were involved. They also report that a group of Jedi were found on Mustefar frozen in carbonite and have been taken to Yavin 4."
"Have you been able to confirm the report about the Jedi?"
"We know there is an increase of ships numbers over Yavin 4, and it is a mix of New Republic warships and ship we have been able to identify as belonging to Karrde's organization."
"Which means that it is more than likely that there are Jedi frozen in carbonite on Yavin. No official statement from the New Republic as of yet?"
"No but it was reported that Master Skywalker was seen leaving NRI headquarters and heading towards where the Ruling Council was meeting. It was also reported that he seen with Mara Jade, and both were visibly angered by something."
"See if you can find anything else out. We need Skywalker if my plans of peace between us and the New Republic are to happen. If he is having issues with the New Republic, then he may vanish again and the Jedi with him."
There was a knock at his door before his aid opened the door without him calling him to enter. "Admiral sorry for interrupting but it seems that Chief of State Solo is about to give a news conference. Both Master Skywalker and General Cracken are with her."
Palleaon turned on the halo net to the channel used for such press conferences by the New Republic.

Leia walked up to the mic and held her hand up to quieten the questions shouted at her from the press. "I will give a brief statement, then Both General Cracken and Master Skywalker will then make a statement. We will take questions afterwards but there will be things that can not be revealed at this time.
A week ago, a joint operation between the NRI and the Jedi took place on Mustafar. Master Skywalker had received intel that led him approach the NRI for help. General Cracken then contacted others in the New Republic and a joint task force was assembled.
Both have given the Ruling Council a briefing. I will now turn the mic over to General Cracken."
Cracken stood where Leia had been standing just a moment ago. "I will give you a brief overview of the operation before I turn the mic over to Master Skywalker to go over what the Jedi are doing at the moment."
Cracken then went over the units involved and why they were selected. He briefed them on the actions that had to be taken to secure Vader's fortress. Then what he went over was the search of the fortress and gathering items still there and any intel that could be gotten from the computers. He explained that once the fortress was cleared of all material, they destroyed the fortress. He then turned the podium over to Luke.
"One of the vaults we opened was used to store Jedi artifacts, including personal items from Jedi killed either on Mustafar or by Vader and possibly the Inquisitors. We also found another door in the vault that had the Inquisitors symbol on it. We believe that this was a room that Vader did not know of and was used by them only.
Inside beside other artifacts we found 10 Jedi that were frozen in carbonite. 2 of which were adults and the rest children aging from our best guess 8 to 14 years old.
We, with the cooperation of the New Republic medical have transported them to Yavin 4. This was done so that we could try to revive them in a more peaceful environment. As of today, we have revived one of the adults who is going through several medical and phycological test. Once we are sure he is healthy we will start with the others.
I ask that the media and others not travel to Yavin 4. Let the Jedi healers and the New Republic medical personal work without worrying about our medical facility being overrun by those who want to gain entry and interrupted what they are trying to do.
I will also tell you that on ship belonging to a news organization did run a blockade around Yavin 4. In the process a child was injured when the pilot landed in the middle of a training area that had several children training. One of my students was injured and is recovering.
The ships crew and passengers have been arrested and will be held for trial by the Jedi. We have also confiscated the ship. I have already sent a notice to the news organization of the incident and the actions take because of it.
I would also like to inform you all that General Cracken has issued orders to all New Republic ships around Yavin 4 on what further steps will be taken to insure this does not happen again."
Once Luke stood back the questions started. The first was who was the Jedi revived which Luke refused to answer till they could determine if he had any family still alive. They will need to be informed first.
The second was what steps Luke referred to which Cracken answered that he ordered any ship that refused to turn back after a verbal warning will be fired upon. That statement made all the reporters freeze for a minute at the shock of what could happen to them or any colleague who tried to breach the blockade.
When they recovered, they asked several other questions. Some were answered some were not. One of the questions asked was about the ship crew and passengers now being held. Luke informed them that once a trial could be set up, they would be tried by the Jedi.
He explained that Yavin 4 belong to the Jedi as their home. They had just as much righ to try them as any planet goverment. He did say that normaly they would had this over to the New Republic but due to how server thing could have turned out they would not be turning them over were they would most likely just get a slap on the wrist.
This made the media nurves. Normally the news organization just got a large fine and the reporter in question might get a slap on the wrist as Master Skywalker had stated. They worried if the Jedi took this stand then how many other goverments would as well.
When the press conference was over Leia lead the other two out of the room and to her office.

"Luke you are probably going to take a lot of heat from the media over your stance with the ship crew and reporters you are holding."
"I will but like I said, the New Republic would have done nothing. One of my students was injured and several of them could have been as well or even killed. For what a story. On this I will not bend."
"For what it's worth I and most of the Ruling Council suppert your actions. General, please inform the ships to try to disable any ships trying to run the blockaid. If we can keep from killing anyone than maybe this will all blow over."
"They have been instructed to use ion canons first. We won't destoy any ships unless we have no choice."
"I guess that is the best I can hope for. Hopefully the media for once will heed the warnings.
Luke what punishment will you be looking at for those who are found guilty?"
"I don't know at the monent. I will need to speak with the other Masters and the young girls family. They are on their way there now."
"Ok, keep me posted."
"I will and I will even allow one news organization to send a small crew to cover the trial as long as they stay awy from the frozen Jedi."
I will let the media know and I will see if I can find a network who can be trusted."
Luke thanked his sister before he and Cracken left. Luke and Cracken had a brief meeting before Luke met Mara and the two boarded their ship to head back to Yavin 4.
So, things got a little heated at the Ruling Council meeting. Some people don't know when to keep quiet. Fey'lya is more interested how he can use this to gain more power. Well, he learned the Luke does have a little temper. There is a line you don't cross with him.
I have never read or heard where Windu's body was ever found. So, it leaves it open that he could have survived the fall. So, he seemed like a good choice in Jedi to bring back. Also, I was looking at maybe him being a bridge between Luke's order and Ezra's.
The next chapter will reveal who the female Jedi is. We might see some of the kids awakened also.
I would like to see some reviews. I saw where a lot have checked the story out since I started posting the revised chapters. I hope you like this version better than the old.
