"Hey, um Uraraka? I was wondering if you would let me ask you a few questions about your quirk, I just I really need to know!" Izuku has been thinking about this almost nonstop for the last week, resulting in Eraser pulling him aside to check that everything was okay since he didn't do well on their quiz.

"Deku? Yeah of course! Your analysis is always amazing, I'd love to answer some questions!" Uraraka starts bouncing on her heels in excitement. Huh.

"R-right okay!" He pulls out his notebook, it looks a bit more organized than it usually would.

"Ohhhh! The crack notebook returns! Oh I'm so excited, this is going to be so much fun!" Uraraka somehow looks more excited, trying to lean over to read it, unfortunately for her he writes in shorthand so he can write faster and they haven't been taught that (yet?).

"Okay so first question: can you take the gravity away from liquid? So I was thinking that yeah you probably can since you can float people and people are mostly water right? So supposedly you can, or does it have to held within a solid to be able to float? Maybe we could test that out with water balloons? Or-"

"I can float liquids to some extent! It works better when they are contained yes. I am very good at water balloon battles. But usually what happens is little droplets of liquid will float, so if you ever see some floating droplets of water, that usually happens when I wash my hands!" Uraraka answers his question nicely even if she interrupted him a bit...

"Awesome! Thank you so much! So on to the next question what about gasses? Do you think you could manipulate the gravity of gases at all?" He doubts this question will get an answer, and honestly there's not anyway to experiment on this easily. He also doubts that she can, if liquids are touch and go (pun intended) then gases are likely not applicable.

"Oh um, I don't really know? I'm guessing I wouldn't be able to, since liquids only work when they touch my fingers in a specific way, and I'm always touching the air. Does the air around me feels different from the air not around me?" Uraraka waves her hand in the air a little. People tend to forget that everywhere around them air exists and that it's not just a nothingness, it's not something we usually have to think about.

"Hm, that's gonna have to be something for me to play closer attention to, thank you. So next question then, um, why don't you wear those gloves that only cover 2 fingers? Wouldn't it be easier? Or at least wearing them in chemistry classes so the beakers and things stay with their assigned gravity. Or during quirkless training so you don't accidentally use it, not using your full hand must make it hard to get a good grip sometimes right. Or actually maybe not since you wouldn't be able to wear them in the field anyways so it would be good to get a hold of it now" he starts mumbling with a hand on his chin.

"ku- Deku!"

"Oh! Sorry got a bit distracted there" he rubs the back of his head, he looks like Christmas with how red his face is.

"It's fine! I don't wear those because I find them uncomfortable. They tend to not fit very well due to the thicker pads on my fingers make the proportions of my hands different from the average person. The custom ones are too expensive..." She starts to look a little bit down.

"Well why don't we go to the support department and ask if they'd be willing to make you something! Although knowing Hatsume she'll probably think of something unnecessary to add to them. Maybe she could make some retractable ones? That could be cool." He starts walking away as soon as he mentioned the support course. Uraraka follows him a bit curious but mostly just amused and thankful.

"Tsu! Come look at what Mei made me!" Uraraka shows off her hands with barely contained excitement. "Look look look!"

"I am kero."

"Yes but looook!!" Uraraka pushes a button and the gloves disappear

"Kero?"

"They're retractable! So if in battle there's someone particularly tricky and I'd have to use my full hand for a better grip, but I am also in a situation where it would be unsafe to remove their gravity, I can just pop these suckers out easy peasy!" She shows off how to make them come out and how they retract. It seems it's as simple as flexing her hands in a certain way and they come right out. "And they fit perfectly too! And Mei gave them to me for free! Well almost free, she said all I have I do is tell everyone about who made it and to come over every once in awhile to help her carry her babies. It's a pretty good deal if you ask me"

"That's really cool Ocha, kero. Those will be very useful in hero work."

"Wait! Uraraka! Wait up!" Izuku runs up to Uraraka. "I have one more question! Sorry I just thought of it! But, do you think that 1. can you float just a solid of a person and not the liquid 2. Would they still float? And 3. Would that help reduce quirk exhaustion?"

"Deku? I don't know, I've never really tried, nor do I know if I can tell the difference of liquid and solid when I use my quirk. Nor do I know whether I'll be able to selectively use it. Also what kind of affect would that have on the body? It sounds like it could be worth experimenting with though! But, maybe with Recovery Girl on call?" Uraraka looks a bit unsure but ultimately willing.

Authors note:

I am going to be honest with you I didn't expect anyone to actually see let alone enjoy this but alas. Hello! I don't plan to have any actually updating schedule because I am a mess. I am in school but I am only taking once class this quarter so that doesn't take much time for me. I am writing this on my phone in the fanfiction app (?) because I am too lazy to actually type this out on my laptop. This is my first fanfiction so please don't expect it to be consistent in quality. Or even just my first writing thing that wasn't for school.

So I guess a little about me because why not? My name is Iz, my pronouns are they/them. I am aro ace. I am in college (and to all you guys in middle school or high school, college is infinitely better and honestly a bit easier too, trust me it is so much better). I am a psych student so in the future there may be some stories including stuff that I've learned.

I know the last one was about cannibalism but I can promise you I am mentally stable to some extent. I am vegetarian, please do not eat people without their consent. But did you know that in some states it's legal? If you have the permission by the person, you can in fact eat them. So if they have their leg amputated, if it's safe to eat, and they said hey do you wanna eat my leg? You legally can, eat their leg. I learned this from tumblr so don't actually trust this information.
