I was getting ready to go to Chithravai as I had my suitcase packed in which I was also heading towards the harbor to catch the ferry. Even though I was overwhelmed with the constant nightmares of Desdemona torturing me, they have quieted down as I was surrounded by several villagers eager to catch the ferry to where I was going to. When I saw the ferry approaching the harbor, I was ready to get on board as I was eager to put my mind at ease. The trip to Chithravai was smooth sailing as I looking at the gift certificates that I tucked away in the suitcase I packed earlier. It was also a way and mean to get me out of the house after four months of taking care of everyone around El Anillo del Fuego as I had no other choice but to prioritize my mental health. It was never my choice, but was needed as I was on my way to the city in the river, for I had to stick to this reprieve before I ended up having a complete nervous breakdown.
"I hope that it's worth it," I said as I sat down on one of the benches.
I relaxed in the ferry as I saw it enter into the fork where the ocean meets the river. I was also ready to write in my journal until I saw a Va'Kihri man snatch it out of my hands the moment he read some of the entries that were made into it. Getting up, I was ready to take back my journal as the Va'Kihri man was too fast for me until he ended up tripping on my long silver hair that got in the way. Picking up my journal, I looked at the would-be thief as he was on his feet the moment he stared at me the moment he was ready to air his grievances, for he was there to steer me back to work and forward to the lingering trauma that I was trying to hold back.
"You must be Sam Winchester, right?" he said to me as he stood firm. "You know that the ferry you're on isn't going to Chithravai right now."
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"See for yourself…"
I went towards the control room as I saw a man dressed in pirate garb taking the reins while the captain and the other staff were tied up in a storage compartment. The man himself was flamboyant, but not stupid as he was dressed to the nines with the usual coat, trousers, boots, and typical pirate hat he wore. At a glance, he sported burgundy hair and turquoise eyes as he was also carrying a sword on him along with a musket and a pirate-grade pistol on his person, for he was simply a man who had nothing to lose.
"Well, hello there!" he yelled as he turned around to look at me. "It seems that your ticket to the Bollywood capital of Valinor has been refunded and set to somewhere far unknown!"
"I hate to break it to you, but you're breaking the law here and hijacking a ferry is a felony that can land you in the Kettle," I said.
"Really? Is taking a member of the Order hostage also breaking the law or did that fall on deaf ears? And for the record, the name's Grantham, Theoden Grantham, and I'm not your average pirate who had the gall to steal you away, my silver-haired friend."
"Whatever you're doing, you're about to be arrested by the Valinorian Navy the moment we reach somewhere dry afterwards."
"We're not going anywhere, Sam!" yelled the Va'Kihri man as he pulled a sword out and pointed it at me. "You're coming with us to the island of Tinuviel where a certain problem up and showed up!"
"What are you talking about?"
It wasn't long until Theoden burst fished out a piece of paper as it depicted an old ad that was familiar to me. It was an image of the infamous Pepperjack Turducken Slammer as it was a sandwich that was infamous and dangerous at the same time. I remembered something like this when I first ran into Shigeru a few years prior as we once shut down the operation that distributed it, for it was none other than some old foes from SucroCorp who were wanting to do more than just feasting on the farmed humans on Harkonnen.
"Well, do you now get the picture, my silver-haired friend?" said Theoden.
"You've been dealing with Leviathans, haven't you?" I said.
"It's more than just that," said the Va'Kihri man. "Ever since the silver dragons averted the threat of eternal winter, we've been seeing more and more of those cannibalistic bastards in which they even ate some of the people who were caught in the crosshairs. And yet, every time they get struck, they bleed black ooze, but are hard to kill. For the record, those monsters are looking for something in which they won't stop until they get what they want. Even though Guido Zampano has obtained the Sight of Valithis, our walking and talking piranhas will think that he's on board the ferry, but they've got another thing coming."
"Give it a rest, Qu'Nabrai," said an Elf girl as she entered into the control room. "Leviathans may have the gall to set a trap for that honest cop, but they aren't stupid. For the record, I couldn't sit by while my brother is too busy sticking to oudated rules while some of the bystanders end up on the menu!"
"Lady Michiru…, I know that your brother, the Emperor, is still dealing with the fallout about the silver dragons, but you can't just jump the gun like this."
I was stunned to see that the Elf girl on board the ferry was related to Florian as she was different than him, but with brown hair and blue eyes while wearing a kunoichi outfit with mismatched stockings and boots. She was mainly the brains of this operation as she was very pigheaded like the rest of her clan, for she wasn't about to let the Leviathans bring their vile additive here to anywhere else in this galaxy.
"Tell the Emperor that we're not changing course," she said. "We're gonna stop a few Bottom Feeders from enslaving the rest of Tinuviel and they won't see it coming!"
And so, I was taken hostage as I had no other choice but to go along with the hijackers who were on their way to their destination. Still, the Leviathan threat was a serious case as they have posed a threat that refused to go away, for they have been doing more than just wanting things to eat, but to obtain what didn't belong to them…
"Damn it!"
Florian was in the throne room as he was reading the letter that Michiru left behind in which her actions would pose further consequences with the laws that were imposed on Valinor. He never expected his sister to jump the gun and hijack a ferry in which she would soon face consequences once she returned to Rivendell. When he was ready to set off and track down the ferry, he was stopped by Nephrenia as she appeared out of nowhere, for she didn't want him to press charges to his sister or the cohorts who aided her.
"Michiru will be charged with terrorism once she returns," he said.
"You will not do such a thing, Your Majesty," said Nephrenia as she displayed her angelic aura in front of him. "They're doing something that the hunters from the Elder Days have been doing for centuries."
"Sorry, I may be concerned about the influx of Leviathans reaching our airspace, but this Emperor will not be above the law. Michiru had no right to lead a group of ruffians to hijack the ferry in which she will be facing prison time and she's also committing a serious offense."
"Sorry, but I had to overrule your decision," said Sayaka as she entered into the throne room. "Just because you refuse to be above the law doesn't mean that you can turn your back on family! Do you know what's been happening here?! There had been more of those things just coming here and eating anyone they wanted and not facing consequences! As Dowager Empress of Valinor, I won't stand by and let another innocent bystander be another casualty in the form of ending up on the menu! You should be aware of what was left behind in the Elder Days in which those things have ravaged Earth in their conquest to feast on whatever they wanted! We can't let our guard down, Florian! We can't sit by and have our friends and loved ones end up on the buffet table!"
"You should listen to your mom, Your Majesty," said Nephrenia. "She's right about dealing with the threat that has shown up just to eat and steal what they want and not face consequences. In the Elder Days, House Vizinar had to flee Earth after getting word that Dick Roman was coming after them the moment they fled in their ship. No…, they never forgot about how Bobby Singer saved them in which they got away safely, but not without having their pursuers gobbling a few bystanders first, including a tailor that a certain King of Hell visited to upgrade his suits."
Florian was outnumbered by opposition as he had no other choice but to dismiss the charges against Michiru at this time. When he left the throne room, he went into the study as he was looking at the bookshelf filled with some of the Supernatural books that were on display. By the time he took a few of them out, he was looking into the very chapters that detailed the very gluttony that the Leviathans have brought out. Even though he was stopped by his mother from pressing charges against Michiru, he also had to know the very point of what was going on until he heard rapid footsteps coming into his room. What he didn't expect was that a Va'Kihri primakyar in royal Shigan clothing burst into the room as she was distraught while worried about something, for this was a turn for the worst.
"Forgive me, Your Majesty," she said as she knelt. "My son is one of the hijackers who took the ferry from the region of Imladris…"
"Empress Ch'Vithrith," said Florian. "You seem lost just as much as I am in which we're dealing with more than just the threat of the Zenith Vectors, but the Leviathans as well."
"My wife sent me here to bring our son back to Shiganshina, for he's hell-bent on putting a damper on the Leviathan threat that has reached the island of Tinuviel. There's been an operation there in which those things have brought their additive here to poison us."
"Damn it… It's just like before when I read chapter nine of How to Win Friends and Influence Monsters where the additive is put into its first item and that is none other than the Leviathan's signature sandwich, the Pepperjack Turducken Slammer. Before that, they were a huge pile of ooze that emerged everywhere in chapter two of Hello, Cruel World. We all know that Leviathans are business savvy, but this isn't the first time that they tried to expand, only for their operation to blow up in their faces on Gehenna."
"That isn't all, sire. They have a hostage in which he's been described with silver hair, but happens to be six-foot-four, which is tall for a Terran."
Florian was shocked to find out that I was on that ferry as he had to call out on the help that would find us and assess the situation that was coming. As for what was about to happen next, everyone had to wait until the next shoe dropped, for this was something that none of us saw coming at this time. When he left his room with the Shigan Empress following him, he was greeted by none other than Bruce as he was concerned about the influx of Leviathans encroaching all over Valinor, for this was a problem that was going out of control so far.
"I never expected my mom to force me to dismiss the charges against Michiru after what she pulled earlier," he said. "She may be part of the Mahoney clan, but that doesn't mean that she pull this act of terrorism under our noses. I grew up obeying the law and yet, we have to break a few rules just to take out a few Bottom Feeders."
"Michiru may be stubborn, but she didn't have a choice," said Bruce. "She's inherited your late father's insight for seeking justice, even if it meant breaking a few rules."
"That isn't the point, Uncle Bruce. This planet has a strict penal code in which any form of terrorism, whether it is hijacking or causing chaos, is a felony that can land anyone in the Kettle."
"This isn't the first time that the Five Clans of the Imperium had no choice but to break the rules of law and not the last. For the record, the Sam of Old and the past self of the newly ascended Alecrian Emperor had their fair share of hunting monsters in the Elder Days. Leviathans were mostly the worst due to their adaptability in which they shapeshifted into the Winchesters of Old by causing crimes and setting them up to the point of hiding away from the chaos. After the downfall of Dick Roman, they lost their ability to shapeshift in which their feat was now absorbed into the power field that prevents the Empty from spilling over. Now, they mainly live and thrive on Harkonnen in which they mainly farm stray Terrans for food, but often get at odds with the Hill-Barton Clan on Kaijirin."
"And yet, they come here not just to eat things, but to covet and abuse what doesn't belong to them," said Ch'Vithrith. "I may be a Va'Kihri primakyar, but my human ancestor met a tragic end to those gluttonous bastards. My wife and I have known this very well in which the man I speak of went by the name of Frank Devereaux, who lost his life at the hands of our foes."
"Frank Devereaux…," said Florian. "He was mentioned as a conspiracy theorist, but had a knack for knowing about the Leviathan threat that was mentioned in chapter six of Slash Fiction. According to the records, he had his seed harvested and stored in which it is part of the gene banks of the Fallen. There wasn't much record about him, but the Terran female that sprang from his genetics had married a Va'Kihri soldier who was stationed on Shiganshina, thus seeing the very threat of Leviathans up close. No…, I won't punish Michiru this time because of the fact that we can't let those humanoid piranhas overwhelm our people who live here. If the Winchesters of Old can break the rules in shutting them down, we can do the same thing."
Florian was now seeing everything clearly as he had no other choice but to bend the rules in order to put a damper on the Leviathans threat. As for what was about to happen next, the pieces were now falling into place as everyone was fearing the influx of the humanoid piranhas who frequented Harkonnen, for they were gluttonous to the core when it came to eating beyond their restraints...
I saw the captain and the other passengers ushered into lifeboats as Michiru and Qu'Nabrai set them adrift the moment they were also calling for assistance to bring them away from the chaos. It was something that I never anticipated as the ferry later reached the island of Tinuviel where it was docked in the harbor. When they got off, they noticed some of the locals sitting listlessly as if they were stoned in which they fell victim to the additive that touched their lips. When Theoden took the lead, he saw a storage vehicle near the shore as it was containing the additive that was keeping the local islanders docile. Getting out a set of binoculars, he noticed a group of Leviathans guarding it as they were also ready to prepare for a trap that was originally set for Guido, for they would never see what was coming next.
"Na'draazh…," he said in the Draaza language as he saw the Leviathans distributing the additive into some ground meat. "We need to act fast if we're gonna get the drop on those bastards. It's ridiculous, but the gloves are officially off when it comes to going up against those freaks in corporate suits."
"I've seen that additive before," I said. "From what I know, SucroCorp tried to pull something off in the domed city of Gurusha on Gehenna a few years prior. Shigeru and I shut it down after we experienced what was going on at the Biggerson's restaurant that was there in which we saved lives and prevented a crisis in the process."
"And we can't let them hurt anyone else right now," said Qu'Nabrai as he was armed with his knife while staring at the Leviathans in the distance. "You don't know of this, but my human ancestor was murdered by those things in the Elder Days. My mothers may worry about everything under the sun, but I can't let those gluttonous bastards enslave everyone just to add to their menu."
"Agreed…," said Michiru. "My brother can piss and moan all he wants, but we're not about to let a bunch of monsters eat anyone here on this planet…, not on my watch!"
It wasn't long until we saw Theoden unsheathe his sword as he was ready to take out some of the Leviathans that were near the island. He had to steer clear for a moment as they saw the targets going into a restaurant that served sandwiches and other things. By the time he reached it, he saw some of the customers in a daze as they fell victim of what they ate earlier, for they were also in grave danger from the monsters who came here to their island.
"Hey, who's up for some chipped beef on toast?!" he yelled as he saw a waitress slumped next to a booth. "They got to you, too, huh? That's a crying shame…" Theoden sees a half-eaten sandwich as he stabs it with a fork the moment he saw the snot-like ooze bursting out of it. "And I must've pissed off the Pepperjack Turducken Slammer just now."
"Did you find anything?" asked Michiru as she entered into the restaurant.
"The Bottom Feeders have been here alright, but we all know that we have to take out the humanoid piranhas before they eat everyone here on this island."
It wasn't long until Michiru brandished a pair of kunai knives as she was aware of the presence of Leviathans that have taken over the island. When she heard a loud scream coming from the kitchen, both she and Theoden burst in there as they saw a Leviathan feasting on one of the cooks as it stared at them with its mouth open while bearing its teeth. Seeing a bottle of Power Clean on the counter, Theoden grabbed it as he squirted some into the Leviathan's mouth the moment it writhed in agony while its head corroded and dissolved until Michiru finished it off, for she hated the presence of Leviathans who came here to round up their flock just to add to the typical "all-you-can-eat buffet" without consequence.
"There went the fry cook," said Theoden as he saw the evidence on the floor.
"Leviathans are dangerous creatures, but they're not just pigging out on table scraps," said Michiru as she put away her kunai knives. "They were banking on the possessor of the Sight of Valithis to just show up and get captured."
"We've got company!" cried Qu'Nabrai as he burst into the restaurant.
Theoden and Michiru ran outside as they saw the influx of Leviathans surrounding the restaurant in which it was about to end in failure. When Qu'Nabrai was armed with his own weapons, he wasn't about to go down without a fight as he later heard a roaring in the distance. It wasn't long until the Leviathans began to see the silver dragon flying as it grabbed a few of them and flung them into the ocean the moment it later went towards the storage vehicle where the additive was located at. The other Leviathans fled when they saw the dragon using a blast of raw power that blew them up before they caused further damage. When Theoden rushed out of the restaurant, he saw the silver dragon lift up the vehicle as he was eager to bring in an opening the moment he got out his musket, for he was ready to shoot at it while it was carried into the air.
"Special delivery, bitches!" he yelled as he fired a shot from his musket.
Theoden saw the bullet hit the storage vehicle after the silver dragon dropped it briefly as it was destroyed with one huge explosion. With the threat averted, he was eager to search for me until he saw the silver dragon land near the beach. When Michiru and Qu'Nabrai joined him, they all saw the silver dragon shedding its scales as they noticed me returning to my normal form, for it was exhausting for me after putting a damper on the Leviathans who came here to the island.
"Sam!" yelled Qu'Nabrai as he saw me laying on the sand the moment he pressed his fingers to my neck to feel for a pulse. "Thank Fa'Uluur that you unleashed the dragon and stopped those things…"
Without warning, everyone spotted an Order of Letters ship landing near the shore as they spotted Damien coming to our aid with members of his unit and those from the Medical Corps. The assessment of how the Leviathans were here distributing their additive here to Tinuviel's citizens was damning as the Medical Corps was quick to distribute an antidote to counteract the effects of the additive that was put into their food, for it was a resolution that had to be resolved immediately.
"Sorry about the mess, but at least the silver dragon scared the piranhas off while I blew up their vehicle that had the additive," said Theoden as he put away his musket. "The rest of them fled when that silver dragon came and helped to save our asses…"
"You have some nerve pissing off the Emperor when it came to hijacking a ferry to this island in which it denotes as an act of terrorism and piracy," said Damien. "The captain and passengers that you and your cohorts placed in lifeboats told us everything in which you were dealing with the very same threat that is hell-bent on setting a trap for Guido Zampano due to his ability to access the Sight of Valithis."
"You really have your jockstrap up in a bunch just like my brother," said Michiru.
"Thankfully, you and your cohorts are off the hook, but don't ever pull another stunt like that again or else you'll spend the rest of your days being wed to an old nobleman who's on his deathbed."
"Let me make this shit clear, Damien! If we hadn't hijacked the ferry to this island and bringing Sam along, our people would've been designated appetizers to those freaks! They're everywhere just like before on Alecrast and again on Gehenna!"
"You violated a law in which you and your friends hijacked a ferry and kidnapping an Elder of the Order in the process, which can lead you to prison time in the Kettle."
"What were we supposed to do, Damien? Let Jaws with legs run around, hoping that he doesn't eat everything? I can't stand by while those pest with nasty pointy teeth show up and eat what they want because of the fact that they're not stopping until they get what they want."
It wasn't long until I stood up the moment I spotted Damien seeing the silver dragon scales strewn on the beach. Even though the threat was averted, my three "captors" had to answer to an inquiry as they were also put under the microscope for hijacking the ferry earlier. In the long run, I couldn't argue as I was too tired to do so, for it was too much for me right now…
I later checked in a hotel room as I was clean and newly dressed, but heavily guarded by Damien when I spotted him dozing off by the window. It was when I was laying in bed as I was also listless after what I went through earlier, but I was thankful that the Leviathan threat was averted for now. Even though I was exhausted after undergoing another round of draconification, I was too tired to move as I later noticed my journal and suitcase by the door. Sitting up, I was feeling the pinch of exhaustion creeping up on me as I later noticed Damien waking up, for he had his reasons to rush over here at some short notice.
"Sleeping on the job, I take it?" I said.
"Apologies, My Lord," said Damien as he was rubbing his eyes.
"Where are my three captors?"
"They're in the honeymoon suite under house arrest after all that has happened, but Dad later dropped the charges when it came to dealing with the Leviathan threat. As for what was found, the vehicle that the Cetra in pirate clothing blew up was not the first one to show up in which this was a much calculated trap to capture Guido with."
"They were expecting him to tag along with me because of the fact that he started out as a police officer before joining our ranks."
It wasn't long until Reuben burst into the hotel room as he was concerned for my health and safety in mind. When he saw me held up in bed, he took no chances to open up his medical kit and took out his stethoscope to listen to my heart and lungs in which he was I was a wreck after undergoing another bout of draconification earlier. Still, I was mainly the Order's resident guinea pig as I also had to rest up, for I was generally stuck in bed for now.
"You jumped the gun again, Sam," he said to me as he put away his stethoscope. "I'll let it slide for now after you helped those freelanced hunters get rid of the Leviathan threat on this island."
"'Freelanced hunters?' I thought they were terrorists…"
"From what I gathered, the ringleader of the group, Theoden Grantham, grew up in an orphanage, but he happens to be an Ancient whose mother was artificially inseminated by a Cetra's seed years prior. And to top it off, the Grantham Clan has been extinct since the Culling, but our pirate captain held his own while going to community college and graduating. As for our other two, you already know about Michiru through her ties with the Mahoney Clan, but the Va'Kihri who got the drop on you in the ferry happens to not only be royalty, but a descendant of a Terran who delved into more conspiracy theories than a tinfoil hat groupie looking for his usual fix in the Elder Days. The Terran that was mentioned went by a man named Frank Devereaux who ended up losing his life at the hands of Dick Roman and his cohorts, but his descendants never forgot about his memory. Luckily, the Shigan Empress sent her consort to bring him home, but he's also in this fight against the Leviathan threat like the rest of us."
"That's very comforting…"
It wasn't long until I saw the captain that was tied up in the ferry earlier as he was alive and safe. I didn't expect him to show up as I later noticed the Barathite royal seal and a badge on his jacket. The man himself was of noble pedigree, but was eager to sail the machine far and wide, as he was someone who was eager to stand firm, for he was eager to stand out despite the noble background he had.
"Buonasera, mi signore," he said as he took off his hat. "Mi dispiace per il pasticcio."
"I saw you tied up," I said.
"It was all an act in which I also didn't want to blow my cover when it came to dealing with those monsters. At least you're doing your best to protect my nephew despite the fact that my despot brother violated him. Even though he is six feet into the ground after his passing, I could never forgive his cruelty to his former wife and children when I ushered them away from Baratheon to the Basin House on Lannister."
"Sam, this is Giancarlo Zampano, the younger brother—and mainly the black sheep—of the late Emiliano Zampano," said Damien. "He's an undercover cop in the Intergalactic Space Police. The crew and passengers of the ferry also happen to be members of the Order's Hunter Corps. They also alerted us to step in and administer an antidote to those affected by the additive that the Leviathans brought over."
"We are clever actors, yes? In a good way, we had to play our part or else you would've blown our cover. I also issued a letter to Bruce Mahoney in which he should also tell his nipote, Emperor Florian, not to worry too much."
I never expected the captain to be an undercover cop in the Intergalactic Space Police before as he was no stranger to dealing with the worst—and overall—heinous cases imaginable. Even though I got roped into this mess, I also knew about the Leviathan threat as they were mainly on the hunt to covet and abuse the Sight of Valithis in which Guido's safety was more important in this long and grueling battle. When I saw Giancarlo fish out a folder, he gave it to me as I looked it directly the moment I saw the various newspaper clippings and other things that were documented when it came to going up against the likes of SucroCorp and those who were pulling the strings. When I later saw Giancarlo bring me a ledger, I looked at it as it was written in the Va'Kihri language in which it documented the life and death of Frank Devereaux himself. I also saw a photo of a Va'Kihri woman holding a human baby as she had sadness in her, for it was the missing link of what was yet to come.
"She looks familiar," I said.
"You're looking at Primakyar Te'Kithrith, mi signore," said Giancarlo. "What she's holding in her arms was a Va'Nathrai…, a blended breed between a humanoid male and a Va'Kihri female. Primakyar Te'Kithrith was close to Frank Devereaux due to their knowledge of monsters and conspiracy theories that were monitored, only for the latter to be murdered by Leviathans. Even though she fled with some of her Draaza and Va'Kihri brethren, she never knew that she was carrying his child until now. She arrived on Shiganshina in which she became a grandmother through her daughter in which the Empress Consort Ch'Vithrith had married her beloved wife and bore children through leftover alien seeds that were part of the gene bank of the Fallen. One in particular was conceived through a Va'Kihri soldier's seed and lives to stop a threat that had murdered his ancestor. Do not worry, mi signore, for your 'captors' have filed a report to both the Order and Emperor Florian respectively."
I was relieved that everyone wasn't about to be charged right now as it was an operation that had to be fulfilled in which it ended up sabotaged once the additive from SucroCorp was destroyed in midair. Even though I changed into a silver dragon to help Theoden blow up the vehicle that had the additive, I wanted to thank him in person, but I also wanted to go outside and clean up to where I shed the silver scales on the beach earlier. When I got out of bed, I was ready to leave until Reuben blocked the door, for he wasn't about to let me leave until I recovered up to full right now.
"I need to clean up my mess," I said.
"It's those dragon scales that you shed, but luckily, the hotel manager collected them just to pay for your room and board for the night," said Reuben. "Therefore, you can't be walking around in your condition like that, Sam. Draconification can be a game changer, but it can also exhaust your body so badly that it can make the Hell trials look like high school gymnastics."
"I guess that I'm stuck here until morning…"
"You're not going anywhere right now, Sam; you need rest. As for the Medical Corps administering the antidote to some of the locals and even throwing out the food that was put into that restaurant, there won't be any further Leviathan threats to this island again."
I walked back into my bed as I had no other choice but to rest up in which I was overwhelmed by Reuben's words of forcing me to rest up. Still, I also had to stay put as I laid back down and closed my eyes. Even though the worst was over, I also had to write a letter to Reiko and the others as I wanted to tell them about what I went through, but was too tired to do anything. It was the most I could do for now, but the fight to protect Guido from those who wanted the Sight of Valithis was not over yet…
Florian was in his room as he was busy looking at the books that were on his desk. The stack of Supernatural books that detailed the Leviathan threat were mainly references that he was dealing with as he was also getting complaints about the monsters that were gaining ground and not stopping. When he looked at his tablet, he saw the front page of what was on screen the moment he saw an image of the silver dragon near the island of Tinuviel as he saw how it helped to avert further harm from the Leviathans. It was ballsy, but effective as he was also staring at the letter that was on his desk the moment he opened it up. He never expected Michiru and her group to collaborate in an act the moment that their "captives" turned out to be an undercover cop and members of the Order who were sent there to put a damper on SucroCorp's shady activities, for their additive was the worst that ever existed.
"I see that you got a letter from Giancarlo," said Sayaka as she entered into the room.
"I never knew of this until now," said Florian. "It turns out that the act they played was a ploy and a typal sting operation to bust up what was on the island in the first place."
"At least the silver dragon came through to help the moment it lifted that storage vehicle with the additive in it."
"And it was used once when it turned its victims into ravenous creatures as referenced in chapter twelve of How to Win Friends and Influence Monsters... From what I read, the Medical Corps arrived just to distribute the antidote to the people affected from the additive. This isn't the first time that our foes have done this and not the last…"
Florian looked at the letter as he had a gut feeling that this fight wasn't over. As for what was about to happen next, there was no shame in what the Leviathans were doing as they had one goal in mind and that was to find and covet the Sight of Valithis, for it was something that would soon be used to their advantage against Guido's wishes if not careful…
The next morning, I was up, but still exhausted from using draconification as I was laying in bed. Even though I was trying to stay awake, it was too much for me as I felt drained from helping Michiru and her group take down the Leviathans who tried to force the island's locals into submission through their additive. Still, it was strange that Leviathans fear dragons, but it was also a godsend as I came through when I helped to prevent them from harming the people on the island. Just as I was about to go back to sleep, I heard the door open up as I noticed Reuben entering with an intravenous drip the moment he inserted it into my arm as a way to keep me hydrated while I was resting. Even though I helped prevent disaster, I wasn't out of the woods yet as I felt too exhausted from last night's incident, for it was something that I had to deal with on the sly.
"I see that you're still out of it, but it's best that you continue to get some rest," said Reuben.
"It's strange that we have friends fighting our battles in which they also have their work cut out for them," I said. "I know for a fact that the Leviathans will do anything to lure Guido into a trap just to abuse what he has."
"The Leviathans aren't the only ones that we have to worry about, for the Zenith Vectors are still at large in which they see the Bottom Feeders as a cover for them just to hide from whoever is pursuing them. Thankfully, we stopped the ones from SucroCorp from causing harm to Tinuviel's citizens, but this wasn't the style coming from Midori Kurohana. It came from something else in which our enemies have collaborated with our cannibalistic foes just to obtain what doesn't belong to them."
"That's very comforting to hear…"
I continued to lay in bed as I was also feeling the sting of body aches that followed after last night's draconification. The very exhaustion made it impossible for me to get out of bed as I did nothing but stare at the ceiling. By the time I was about to close my eyes, I heard the door opening up as I saw Florian enter into the room in which he was here on business. Even though he was a stickler for rules, he also had to make sure that his people on Valinor were safe, for last night's incident was something that he couldn't ignore at present.
"Good morning, Sam," he said. "It seems that you're still exhausted after you helped my sister and her group stop a bunch of Leviathans. As for her crimes, they're being expunged because of the fact that the captain, crew, and passengers happen to be sent on a mission to stop the Leviathans' operation into distributing the additive all over this planet. Luckily, Giancarlo and his people alerted Damien and the others about what was going on, but it seems that our humanoid piranhas aren't just chowing down on takeout."
"They're after the Sight of Valithis," I said as I was trying to sit up. "This was a trap for Guido in which they were expecting him to show up just to capture him. Luckily, he's not here or else he would've been captured."
"I did some digging about Guido's scumbag father in which even though he had his bastard son, Cesare, he forced himself on Marnathi in which her family sold her to him and bore his sons, but not in the way that you think… He had shady dealings that got him kicked out of the Barathite nobility the first time, but when his father, Enrico, died from old age, he took the reins as the new count in his family, but paraded Cesare and abused his wife and sons to no end until they got out. Another reason why Emiliano kept forcing Marnathi to breed is to obtain the Sight of Valithis by the time Guido was born and that kind of power can only be activated through coitus and not anal penetration. He was eager to pimp Guido out until Marnathi had enough and divorced him while taking all four of her sons away from his home and into exile on Lannister."
Florian fishes out a holosphere as he shows it to me the moment I sat up. Turning it on, I saw Emiliano pacing around on screen as he was worried about something the moment he saw the divorce papers on the table in his room. I sensed the rage bubbling over as he wanted to bring back Marnathi and her sons, for he was also feeling the weight of obligation creeping over him in that recording.
"That puttana!" he screamed. "How could she do this to me after giving her all that she needed?!"
"I would rather have her and those brats skewered than walk freely," said Bartolomeo as he walked into the room. "Your raping of your youngest son was valid, but it didn't produce any results when it comes to obtaining that power that can keep the Castellano Family from taking back power from Father Warren."
"Your people in the Lineage aren't the only ones who demand the Sight of Valithis! Those people who live on Harkonnen also demand it since their first attempt ended in failure in the time of the Elder Days! That hidden ability is potent, but not as feasible as the raw power that was often seen as the ultimate prize. We all know that the brat who wields it hasn't been seen in years in which he's been tucked away like a principessa trapped in a tower!"
"We all know that Guido with the Sight of Valithis and that brat with the raw power will be targets in which they won't be safe until we abuse what they have. The premio finale and my youngest son won't have a place to hide, for everyone wants what they have and not stopping."
I saw the recording turn off as I was shocked to hear about the bitter truth that came from a dead man's lips. The very truth about me and Guido being used for our abilities was beyond vile as we were more than likely to be in the same boat, for we also had to watch our backs in this lingering mess.
"I never saw this coming…," I said.
"None of us did, Sam," said Reuben as he was checking my vitals. "It's beyond disgusting that you and Guido get the short end of the stick in which the people who go after you have nothing to lose in desperation."
"Then it's settled," said Florian. "From now on, there will be a gag order to protect you and Guido from the likes of any group wanting to harm you, including the Zenith Vectors, the Lineage, and those humanoid piranhas who keep showing up and eating anything in their way. I get the picture, Sam. I've read and looked into those Supernatural books in which their knowledge of the lore can't be ignored. As for our enemies, they will be waiting, but they won't back down until they get what they want."
"Thanks for the warning…," I said.
I laid back down as I was still exhausted to move in which I now knew of what was going a little further. Even though Guido and I were targeted, we couldn't let anything hamper our efforts as the battle against our enemies would be a grueling one, for this wasn't over yet…
To be continued...
