Since this story where Pokémon have more then four moves here's a list of moves ash's Pokémon current moves along with moves they should have.
Ash's pikachu: thunderbolt, electro ball, quick attack upgrade it to extreme speed, iron tail the current four moves volt tackle, surf, hidden power ground type, play rough, electric terrain, rising voltage, calm mind, reversal, brick break, grass knot, rain dance, thunder, dig, rock smash, protect, light screen, reflect, shock wave, thunder punch, and discharge.
Hope this will be a great help for your story.

Will we see ash bring his older Pokémon instead of just bringing pikachu with him to kalos professor oak allows ash to carry more than six Pokémon to nine that way he would have room for both his older/newer Pokémon so ash's new Pokémon could learn new moves from the older Pokémon also get stronger.
First of all thanks for reading the story and I assure you that Ash would bring his older pokemon to Kalos. But you would have to wait to see how many or whom he would bring.

Ash should use/teach his new Pokémon the counter shield technique for ones that could do it, the spinning/rolling dodging technique, the swallow technique the one where one Pokémon swallows their sphere/energy orb that matches their type to increase their power it's from where ash's torterra was still grotle battled against primer's rhyperior swallows his energy ball that ended up increasing his power.
Ash should bring his other Pokémon besides pikachu have professor oak increase his Pokémon limit from six to nine.
For Pokémon ash should bring pidgeot so they can catch up with each other, gible so he could get more experience, snivy, and quilava.
First of all thanks for reading the story and don't worry, Ash is going to use all those techniques that he had used in his previous journeys along with some new ones. He would also bring his older ones and would reunite with the one whom he had said goodbye.

Ash and Serena should catch more than just their canon Pokémon in kalos.
Ash's non-canon Pokémon to catch in kalos: vivillon, heliolisk so ash's pikachu could be a mentor, dragalge, tyrantrum, gogoat, aegislash, florges, pyroar male form, meowstic male form, and avalugg.
Serena's non-canon Pokémon to catch in kalos: vespiquen, shiny absol, aurorus, milotic, pyroar female form, sunflora, meowstic female form, and swanna.
First of all thanks for reading the story and although I was planning to keep this a secret but guess I would reveal it, that yes, both Ash and Serena are going to catch some non canon Pokemon to make the story more interesting.
Also thanks for suggesting some non canon pokemon for both of them, I would try to use of all of them.

Could we see ash get mega ring along with mega stones so he could use mega evolution too it sucks that the producers wouldn't let ash have it when he was in kalos also could Serena also get mega evolution too?
Thanks for reading the story and although I would not reveal which one of Ash and Serena's Pokemon would get mega evolution but I would tell you this that both Ash and Serena would mega evolve their pokemon in Kalos.

"Mom, I'm home!" Ash yelled in excitement as soon as he opened the door of his house.
After entering, Ash first laid a sleeping Riolu on the couch and Pikachu jumped on the ground as he knew how Delia welcome her son and he didn't want himself to get squished between them. Suddenly, a certain voice caught their attention.
"Welcome back, Ash," someone said with a smile.
Hearing the voice, Ash was surprised as he had not heard that voice since ages. He was shocked, surprised, happy, emotional, and what not. He wanted to say a lot of things, but words were not coming out of his mouth. Pikachu was confused; he was first looking at his trainer, then at the person, then again repeated it a few times until he heard his trainer and best friend say something.
" Dad ", Ash said and without wasting any moment hugged his dad tightly while shedding a few tears and why not he was meeting his dad after so many years.
Pikachu was happy for his trainer as he had seen how much Ash misses his father. Even his father was not able to control his tears as he was seeing his son after a long time so he also responded the hug like he would never let him go.
" Dad why didn't you came home before, didn't you missed me and mom for once ", Ash asked his dad while still hugging him tightly as if he separated from hug than his father would disappear.
" It's not like that, Ash; I missed you and your mom. There wasn't a single day when I didn't think about you both. It was necessary for me to stay away at that time ", his father (Red) replied while hugging his son.
" Why dad why can't you stay with us? ", Ash asked his dad not able to understand what was stopping him from living with them.
" Don't worry Ash, I will explain everything to you tomorrow for sure ", his father promised him.
" Ok Dad, but I am happy that after so long you are finally here with us ", Ash said happily and then broke the hug.
"I am happy too, Ash," Red replied with a small smile.
Ash then looked at his Pikachu who was looking at both of them, so he decided to introduce his first Pokémon to his dad.
" Hey Dad, I want you to meet someone, (pointing towards Pikachu) this here is Pikachu my very first Pokémon and my best friend and Pikachu, he (pointing towards his dad) is my dad about whom I told you ", Ash said while introducing his first Pokémon to his dad and vice versa.
Pikachu jumped on Red's shoulder and nuzzled his cheeks, just like he does with Ash and Delia. In return, Red caressed Pikachu's head, to which Pikachu cooed happily. Ash was happy seeing his father, his mentor, and his superhero. From childhood, Ash had seen his dad interacting with people and Pokémon, and seeing him like that motivated him to become friends with every Pokémon.
"I am sorry, Ash. I was not there for you when you received your first Pokémon or to console you when you lost your first league," Red apologized to his son.
" It's fine dad you said na that you were busy, and I trust you that if it was possible for you then you would have surely come to meet me ", Ash replied with a small smile.
Red was happy to hear these words from Ash. He could see that Ash had not only grown but had matured a lot as well.
" Delia, although I was not there with you while raising Ash, I think you raised him even better than I could have if I were with you." Red thought while looking at his son.
"Now why don't we go inside and talk to your mom while having dinner? You can also tell me about your adventures," Red told his son.
" Of course, dad but first let me wake Riolu so that he can eat as well ", Ash said as Red nodded his head.
After waking Riolu , Ash along with Pikachu and Red went to kitchen with Pikachu and Riolu walking beside him. In the Kitchen he was greeted by a bone crushing hug from his mom.
" Mo...m c..can't br...breathe ", Ash said while trying to breathe which was not possible due to Delia's hug. Meanwhile Pikachu along with Riolu were trying not to laugh at Ash's situation.
"Oh, sorry," Delia apologized.
While Red was also enjoying the scene happening in front of his eyes, he had surely missed both of them a lot.
"So, how is my Pokémon master doing?" Delia asked her son while setting his cap perfectly on his head, which was knocked to the ground due to her hug.
" I am doing great mom, but I was only able to reach top 8 this time ", Ash said with sadness in his eyes.
" Oh, don't worry Ash I am sure you will win next time now cheer up your mood it's been such a long time since we had food with your father ", Delia said while trying to cheer up her son.
" I know mom and I am very happy to see dad after such a long time ", Ash said while looking towards Red.
" And I am happy to see you and Delia again (said while looking towards both of them) and you too Pikachu and Riolu ", Red said as he was very happy today on seeing his wife and son after such a long time.
At that time, Riolu suddenly grabbed Ash's hand, attracting the attention of everyone in the room.
" Huh! What is it, Riolu?" Ash asked the emanation Pokémon.
Riolu points towards an empty Pokeball on Ash's belt.
"Wait, are you saying that you want me to catch you?" Ash asked with a surprised expression. Others were also surprised by this.
" Olu, " {Yes} Riolu said while looking at Ash.
" Well if that's what you want then, welcome to the family Riolu ", Ash said while taking out the empty Pokeball from his belt and gently tapped it on Riolu's head. Riolu was sucked inside, and the ball dinged immediately, indicating a successful capture. While this caught Red's attention as he thought Riolu was Ash's Pokémon.
" Ash weren't Riolu your Pokémon before ", Red asked his son as this is the first time, he has seen someone catching Pokémon like that.
"No, Dad," Ash said and started to explain the events of Viridian Forest to his mom and dad.
" We are proud of you Ash, the way you protected Riolu and took care of him ", Red and Delia together said these words to Ash.
"Thank you, mom and dad," Ash thanked his parents for the praise.
After that they all sat at dining table to eat their dinner. While Pikachu was busy with his first love ' ketchup ' making Red amused at Ash's first Pokémon's antics.
"Coming to think of it, Ash, why don't you tell me about some of your adventures?" Red asked his son, as he was eager to know what kind of adventures he had.
" Sure dad ", Ash said and began to tell Red about all his adventures from Kanto to Unova (except the facts that he was responsible for disbandment of evil teams, him meeting every legendary and his near-death experiences).
Red listened to all of them with interest while reminiscing about his journeys. After Ash finished talking about his adventures Red asked something from Ash that led him to choke his food while Delia and Pikachu were laughing hard.
"Ash, you have traveled to so many regions so do you have a girlfriend?" Red questioned his son, knowing that at this age it was very common for children to like or even love someone.
"No... d... Dad," Ash replied while looking down at his food and blushing.
" Ash you are blushing so if you have a girlfriend, you can tell us ", Red asked in a teasing tone.
" Ya Ash, you can tell us, we can even organize your wedding with her if you want ", Delia said while joining Red in teasing their son.
"Pi Pika Pi," {Yes, tell us, Ash} Pikachu also joined Ash's parents in teasing him.
" I am done with the dinner I am going ", Ash said and hurriedly ran from there to his room while blushing. Pikachu also followed him.
" Red I think we overdid it. Poor Ash he became so much embarrassed that he didn't even ate his food properly ", Delia said looking at the direction of Ash's room.
" Yes, but I think even though he doesn't have a girlfriend he like someone ", Red said as he remembers that Ash was blushing when he asks him about his girlfriend.
" I don't think so Red. Even though he had travelled with 4 girls I had not heard Ash talking about a girl in that way ", Delia said with a sigh.
"What if it's some other girl you haven't seen?" Red asked Delia.
"I don't know Red, but I think we have to go see Ash. I really think we overdid it," Delia told Red as she stood up from her chair.
" Ok if you say so ", Red said as he stood up from his chair as well.
Both Red and Delia went towards Ash's room. When they were about to open the door of Ash's room, they heard him talking to Pikachu, so they decided to hear what he was saying.
(Me :- hey you should not listen to someone's conversation even though he is your child. Although my parents are not like this, my little sister is. Sorry got sidetracked back to the story )
"What Pikachu?", Ash asked his first Pokémon.
" Pi Pikachu pika " {what's that on that cabinet} Pikachu asked Ash while pointing to an album on the cabinet in Ash's room. It looked like someone had tried to hide the album as Pikachu had never seen that album before in Ash's room.
" Shit, I thought I hid it properly," Ash said, which attracted the attention of his parents and Pikachu.
" Ash is hiding an album, but why ", Delia thought in confusion.
"Pikapi pika pi pika chu (Ash, if you don't want to show me it's alright) Pikachu said while making a sad face.
Seeing Pikachu's sad face, Ash decided to tell Pikachu about it.
"Pikachu, that's an album of Professor Oak's summer camp where I went as a child when I was 6," Ash told Pikachu with a sad look.
" Pika Pika " {will you show me} Pikachu asked eagerly
Ash decided to tell Pikachu because he is his best friend, and it would not be right to hide this from him.
"Pikachu, you are my best friend. Of course, I will show you," Ash said with slight nervousness, knowing his secret would be revealed if he showed the album.
Pikachu sensed the nervousness in Ash's voice but could not pinpoint why he would be nervous about showing an album.
Ash went to the cabinet and took out the album from its hiding place and then went back to his bed where Pikachu was sitting.
He opened the album and on the first page was a note written by Ash.

This album contains the most precious memories of my life as a child. The memories I can't forget. I would do anything to relive these memories.

Pikachu was surprised on reading the note. He was now even more eager to see what's inside the album, which his best friend considered to be his best memories.
As Ash turned the page Pikachu saw a picture of 6 year old Ash, who was looking so cute as child.
Below the photo Ash has also written some words to remember the wonderful time he had at the camp and below this photo he had written ' Professor Oak's Summer Camp '.
" Pi Pikachu, " {you were cute in childhood} Pikachu told Ash, making him embarrassed.
" Thanks, Pikachu ", Ash replied.
As Ash turned the page Pikachu saw there was a photo of Ash with a honey blonde haired girl of Ash's age wearing a pink dress with a straw hat. The Honey Blonde haired girl was sitting near a tree with a handkerchief wrapped on her knee which seemed to be injured. While Ash was kneeling in front of her
Pikachu don't know who she is but was surprised by the words written below the picture. ' First time I met her '.
" Pika pika pi " {who's that girl ??} Pikachu asked his raven-haired trainer.
"Her name is Serena," Ash said with a smile.
" pika pi pika chu pi pika " {it's been years, and you still remember her name and here I thought you were forgetful} Pikachu asked teasingly.
"No, I am not," Ash replied.
"Pi" {yes you are} Pikachu told Ash.
" No, I am not ", Ash replied again.
" pi " {Yes you are} Pikachu again told Ash.
They continued to bicker with each other like this for 5 minutes while outside Ash's room his parents were listening to their bickering with closed eyes as they don't want to barge into Ash's room at this time.
" Okay, fine. I am," Ash said as he was tired of all this bickering.
" Pika pika " {now tell me about her} Pikachu asked as he was very eager to know about her.
" Well Serena was my very first friend ", Ash replied looking at her photo with a smile.
" Chu pika pi " {But I thought Gary was your first friend} Pikachu asked his best friend.
" Well before the Johto league, you know that Gary was arrogant. From childhood, he used to treat himself as superior to all of us because he was the grandson of Professor Oak. Whenever we were together, he would boast about it, which always made me irritated. You know what, we didn't even play or talk together as friends; we were more like rivals from the start. So, you can say that Serena was my very first friend." Ash explained with a small smile.
" There is something suspicious here ", Pikachu thought looking at Ash.
Shaking his thoughts, Pikachu looked towards the album as Ash had changed the page again.
Pikachu was surprised seeing the next photo while Ash was blushing. Now you all must be wondering why, then the reason is that in the photo six year old Ash was hugging six year old Serena and below that picture it was written ' Our First Hug '.
"Pi pika pika pi Pikachu," {so it seems like she is someone special to you} Pikachu asked in a teasing tone.
" Well, that is true; she is special to me," Ash replied without any hesitation.
Pikachu was again surprised as Ash had not denied what he said. Now Pikachu was having a feeling that Ash has feelings for Serena but is too dense to realize it.
Meanwhile outside of Ash's room Delia and Red were also surprised on knowing this. So, they decide to listen further so as to know more about Serena.
" Pika pika " {let me see more photos now} Pikachu said to which Ash agreed and again changed the page.
In this photo, six-year-old Ash was holding six-year-old Serena's hand and they were going somewhere. But it looked like Ash was helping Serena as she had injured her knee.
Below the photo, it was written, 'Serena and I holding hands'.
{Yes, I could not see it until I read the note} Pikachu thought sarcastically.
In the next photo six year old Ash and Serena in the same clothes as before were standing together looking in each other's eyes. Ash was also holding a Poliwag in his arms who was looking at both Ash and Serena. And below that photo it was written, ' Is it just me who thinks her eyes are beautiful '.
{Does my dense trainer just praised a girl's eyes?}, Pikachu thought, surprised by the note.
As Ash turned the page, Pikachu saw a picture of Serena sitting and holding her knee while looking at Ash with tears in her eyes. Meanwhile, Ash, who was sitting beside her, held a Poliwag in his lap. Below that picture, Ash had written, "Her Knee is paining so I am trying to distract her."
{Seeing the picture, my first thought was, Ash was playing with Poliwag. I didn't think that he was trying to distract her}, Pikachu thought while looking carefully at the picture.
In the next photo, Ash, while holding Poliwag in his arms, was standing right next to Serena. He was smiling at the camera, and maybe Serena was looking at him with a blush on her face. Delia was standing on the other side of Ash, and another woman (whom Pikachu had not seen before) was standing beside Serena. So their positions in the photo were like this: first Delia, then Ash, then Serena, and beside her, that other woman. Below this photo, it was written, 'My mom met Serena for the first time'.
" Pi pi pika chu " {who's that lady beside Serena} Pikachu asked Ash while pointing to the lady beside Serena.
" She is Serena's mom and if I remember correctly then her name is Grace Yvonne ", Ash answered.
" pi " {oh} This was the only thing that Pikachu said.
{I think this serena girl like this dense idiot that is why she is blushing in this photo}, Pikachu thought while looking at the photo of a blushing Serena.
Outside of Ash's room Red and Delia were surprised to hear Grace's name as she was Delia's best friend but after that summer camp they have not talked for years. It was not like they didn't want to, but they were not able to due to some reasons.
In the next photo, Ash and Serena were sitting across from each other while talking. 'Told her about my dad', was written below the picture.
" Pika pi pika chu " {you both look cute together} Pikachu said looking at his trainer and the girl beside him in the photo.
" You think so ", Ash asked, to which Pikachu just nodded.
In the next photo, both Ash and Serena were lying on their stomachs on the grass while looking at each other and smiling. Ash was even winking at Serena. 'We're going for a picnic ', was written below the picture.
{I have never seen Ash this happy. I need to ask him more about Serena}, Pikachu thought.
As Ash turned the pages there were few more photos of Ash and Serena. In one they were taking care of an Eevee. In the other one there was a picture of only Serena, where Ash had written, ' She is the Kindest girl I have ever met '.
There were also pictures of their picnics, in one such pic, Ash and Serena were sitting on a blanket in a beautiful place filled with greenery. They even have a Picnic basket with them. Serena is holding a macron in her hand while Ash takes her hand in his and is going to eat that macron from her hand. ' Serena tried to make my favorite Macrons '.
As Ash turned the page of the album, Pikachu saw a six year old Ash standing while holding a six year old Serena (who was blushing) in his arms. ' It feels so good having her in my arms '.
{She is blushing in almost all photos, now I am confirmed that she had a massive crush on Ash}, Pikachu thought as he saw a blush on Serena's face in every photo up till now.
As they reached at the last photo, Pikachu was very much surprised seeing the photo as in this photo Ash and Serena were laying on the grass and Serena was kissing Ash's cheeks. ' She kissed me on cheeks '.
Pikachu was again surprised seeing this and looked towards Ash for answers who was daydreaming while blushing. Pikachu snickered and thought that he has to definitely know about the girl as it seemed that both Ash and Serena have feelings for each other.
" Pika pi Pikachu " {hey Ash will you please tell me more about Serena} Pikachu asked Ash with hope that he will tell him which Ash was happy to tell.
Well, that's it for today. I know some would think that the parts are short, but I had just started writing so please, cope up with it for some time but I will gradually increase the word limits of my story.
