"Isn't that Marine, what's she doing here." Shadow heard Sonic ask. They saw a lil female orange and black furred raccoon kit running from the grocery store in Green Hills as Maddie and them were going to do groceries. "She must've gotten here through a portal, Sonic. But humans don't understand she doesn't know this world or have Earth money." Shadow said seeing Marine smirk seeing them.

"Hey guys long time no see. All I was doing was getting something to eat and this human was chasing me." Marine said.

"Yeah we noticed. You know here we use money to get what you want." Shadow told her making Sonic nod.

"Money. Great which means this world and me are gonna have a problem." She said scowling as Sonic saw she'd taken potato chips and soda making Shadow smirk. "I don't know what food's good here okay." Marine pointed out as Maddie joined them curious about their friend. "This is Marine Raccoon and from our world and the reason the store owner is upset." Sonic told her making Maddie get it.

"Hmmmm maybe if she apologises and returns what she took, we could help her out." Maddie said

"But I just got this stuff and you want me to give it back." Marine protested.

"Marine I know you just got here and don't understand this world, but you're not making a good first impression Lil Girl." Sonic said using one of her nicknames making her give in. They and Maddie then entered the grocery store seeing them owner glare at Marine making the seven year old raccoon kit tremble like she'd seen either a ghost or pirate, two of her biggest fears which Somic noticed reassuring her it would be okay. "Sorry but I was hungry and new to this place.

You guys should set up something for newbies to this town, who don't have money.

So they can eat, then they don't have to steal." She said which was a good idea as she stuck with them but Maddie was curious about her as like Tails, she was a kid like Sonic but younger seeing Marine about to leave to explore or get int9 mischief suggesting she come home with them making her confused and surprised but nervous. She'd never been in a human house before so guessed if this human was Sonic'sfriend it would be okay.

"Sorry but I, one of Sonic's friends was the reason for the commotion at the grocery store. Oh boy she's a trash panda and climbing all over the living-room which is making Ozzie freak out." Tom said making Maddie get it. "Tom, Marine just got to Green Hills and doesn't know much about the human world like paying for stuff." Sonic internected making Marine smirk listening as her furry lil ears were burning as they were talking about her.

"Okay, I guess she can stay. Shadow lives here so how hard could it be." Tom said making them happy. Later that night, Marine was in the kitchen having a late-night snack as she couldn't sleep thinking about home and having a ship which she couldn't be the captain of so a snack was helping seeing Shadow there.

"I'm just having a snack, okay." Marine told him glaring.

"Alright but I'm doing the same thing. Couldn't sleep." Shadow said.

"Pleading the fifth Shads." Marine snapped back.

Shadow sighed at that knowing she wasn't used to this world and it's customs but while he andSonic could sort of fit in here, it might be harder for her knowing what humans thought of her species maybe she could show them she was different remembering Tom's reaction to meeting her when he'd gotten home and saw Marine despite what she'd did at the grocery store hearing Marine ask, why Tom had been like that,when he'd seen her.

"Your people have a very bad rep here on Earth. Maybe you can show them you're different." Shadow said drinking coffee.
