Princess Zaidi was furious. Her daughter was pregnant and the father had ended the relationship. This should be grounds for war.
"My father will not stand for this!" the pale tan lioness snarled at the royal family that's gathered in the Lion Guard lair. "I want justice for my daughter! Justice for the time that was stolen since the prince.." Zaidi growled in the direction of the pale cream lion on the side with his sister and brother. "Wasted it by forfeiting the betrothal!"
"Calm down, Princess Zaidi." Eshe was so lost and confused. Why didn't Jashua tell her that the two mated? "The alliance is still in tact."
"How the hell did you come to that conclusion!" Zaidi snarled.
"Alliances are not only submitted with a marriage but with a birth." Sarabi stepped up to the Avaloria princess. She felt bad about pushing Eshe to go through with the betrothal. "Princess Olisa will stay here, she made not be Queen-Consort and the cub wouldn't be considered an heir unless there's absolutely no other children from my grandson. Olisa will be a duchess with the cub inheriting the title of Lord or Lady until they come of age."
Zaidi was still reeling from the situation but it was the best thing, even if her daughter wasn't going to marry the future king. Their lives still are looking better than being just a ordinary lioness in Avaloria.
The pale tan lioness bowed her head. "Thank you, your majesties. We graciously accept."
~TLK~
A loud roar erupted through the cool night air of the Pridelands. At the same time the royal siblings were in their regular game of tag before calling it a night.
Jashua stopped his pursuit of Askari and looked towards the direction the roar came from. To see his mother and grandmothers bolt towards the direction of Zaidi and Olisa's private cave with the pale tan lioness right behind them.
The young pale cream lion looked at his siblings before following. Nala and Askari right behind the future king. Once a few feet away from the cave the roars and growls became clear as sounds of pain.
Jashua was about to enter the cave when a young light cream lioness with pale blue eyes stopped him.
"You can't go in there yet, Jashua!"
Jashua sat before looking at the younger lioness. "Tiifu, why not?"
The young lioness rolled her pale blue eyes. "Lady Olisa went into labor. You can't go in unless your mother calls you."
Jashua grunted before waiting for what felt like forever when they finally heard the call for them to come in. Jashua at first felt nervous as he walked in the cave. Alot of thoughts ran through his head. But the voice of his mother brought him out of his thoughts.
Casting his eyes on the creamy tan lioness, who smiled as she moved her paws. Snuggled against the new mother's chest was a light cream bundle with brown spots.
Jashua heard bits of a conversation to the side, he shook his head and looked back at the cub who was now on its back. Jashua peeked out the cub is a male so he glanced from his son to Olisa.
"What's his name?"
Olisa looked at her son before moving her hazel eyes back to her ex. "I've decided on Alejandro,"
Prince Jashua nodded, not sure what else to say.
...
It was night time in the Pridelands, animals were preparing for the night as the creatures of the night came out. It's been a month since the birth of Alejandro. Jashua has been much time with his son, he didn't have feelings for Olisa but he loved his son dearly.
Currently Prince Jashua and Prince-Consort Mheetu were heading home from another lesson when Jashua stopped walking. Mheetu stopped walking also and looked back.
"Jashua, what's wrong?"
Young adult Jashua shook head with a sigh. "It's just that I was wondering if I would a good job tommrow."
Mheetu smiled lightly and walked over to the stressed prince and nuzzled him. "My son, I'm sure you can handle it."
Jashua still looked like he was unsure so Mheetu sighed and bumped his head against his son's causing the young pale cream lion to look at him.
"Whenyour mother came back and defeated your great uncle, she couldn't just jump into being queen. Rafiki and your Grandmother Sarabi had to help her with the rest of her lessons. And when she thought she was ready, she had to go thought the royal rite of passage. Was your mother little nervous? Yes! I saw it in her eyes, but till this day she would say she managed because she had your grandmothers, me, your uncle and the pride to help her."
Jashua smiled grateful for the small insight, "Thanks dad."
Mheetu smiled back and hugged his son. "Let's get some sleep. You have a very big day ahead of you tomorrow."
Jashua nodded and with that the father and son headed home.
