Aziza had set up camp in front of Heaven's Gates and was waiting for a batch of Cupids to return home from their love missions. She didn't want to leave for a week without telling them because she didn't want them worrying, so she was patiently waiting for them to return and she greeted any of the Angels that were coming or going as well.

"Aziza!" The blonde looked up from the book she had on her lap just in time to see a dark-haired Cupid named Esme racing towards her. Aziza managed to set the book down and open her arms to retrieve Esme when she crashed into her and now, the Cupid was laughing into her embrace. "I earned my Bow on this mission, Aziza!" Esme happily chirped.

"That's awesome, Esme! I'm so proud of you." Aziza complimented before they detached and stood. "Listen, I'll be going to Earth for a week, so make sure the Cupids don't get into any trouble."

"Absolutely, Aziza. Have fun on your trip!"

Esme gave Aiza a final hug before she flew off and Aziza put her book back into her duffle bag. She pulled the strap over her shoulder and turned to face Heaven's Gates, excitement filling her veins.

Aziza landed in sunny San Diego, California at dusk, so her landing was concealed by the rising sun. The first thing she had to do was use the credit card she got from Gabriel to get somewhere to stay for the week. She pulled her phone out and looked up the nearest gas station, memorizing the way there. As she began her walk, she opened the Airbnb app on her phone and looked for a rental house. When she arrived at the gas station, she was paying for the white Mediterranean home she'd be staying at for the week and double-checking where to find the lockbox for the key to the house.

Since she was there, she raided the gas station and left with about 4 bags of snacks. The walk to her temporary home was about 15 minutes from the gas station, so she was leisurely in her stride as she tried to take in all of the new scenery. When she arrived at her new home, she found the lockbox and punched in the code to get the key.

The inside of the home was beautifully decorated in mainly white furniture, but there were wooden accents as well. Aziza went to the large kitchen and put the drinks in the fridge, but left the snacks on the counter. She took her shoes off and went upstairs, putting her duffle bag in the closet. She went looking for a laptop or computer and found one sitting on the desk in the master bedroom. She looked up some nearby restaurants that she could walk to and didn't require a reservation. La Puerta was a Mexican restaurant with a bar and it was relatively close, so she decided that's where she'd be going tonight.

Aziza was sitting on the bathroom sink, curling her hair. Her outfit for tonight was a long-sleeved black top and a navy-blue, floral printed, flared skirt with brown cowgirl boots and a black clutch bag on her wrist. She managed to snag a reservation at the restaurant and was very excited to try the food there. She went to the door and opened it, but almost yelped in surprise when she saw a male Cupid waiting on the other side. He was holding a beautiful bouquet of red and black roses tied together with a black, silky ribbon.

"For you!" He happily told her and extended the flower to her.

"Thank you, Eros." She beamed at him. "Don't forget to get back to Heaven by curfew."

Aziza locked the door and waved goodbye to Eros as she went to the sidewalk to conjure a red convertible. She climbed in and drove to the restaurant with 5 minutes to spare. When she got there, she was guided to a seat at the bar and she ordered a Crushed Velvet with as much sugar on the rim as he could manage from the bartender.

She mulled over the menu and her drink came, so she sipped at that while she decided on what she was going to have for dinner. She picked the Carne Asada and hoped it looked as good as it sounded. While she waited for her food, she discreetly snapped a few pictures of her at the bar and sipped her drink.

"Is this seat taken?" A voice asked from beside her and Aziza put her drink down to see who was speaking to her. A very tall man with chin-length brown hair, hazel eyes and some stubble coating his jaw was waiting for her to reply. She noticed that he was dressed like a lawyer with his suit and black briefcase in his right hand.

"Not at all."

"Anything good to order?"

"I just got the Carne Asada and it was spectacular."

"I'm actually trying to cut back on eating so much meat." He told her.

"Oh, are you a Vegetarian?"

"Not exactly." He chuckled. "My brother, Dean, is a monster when it comes to eating meat."

"Sounds like one of my big brothers." She giggled.

"One of? How many are there?"

"Four big brothers and me makes five." She smiled.

The waiter came first to take the man's order and he decided to get Grilled Veggie Street Tacos. When the bartender came asking what the man wanted for a drink, he simply requested a bottled water.

"So, four big brothers." The man continued and he got a good look at Aziza, making her blush slightly. "Does that mean you're completely off limits?"

"Well, I'm kinda on vacation from home and they won't be hearing from me for about a week unless I need something. What they don't know won't hurt them."

The man smiled at her and she returned the gesture. "I'm Sam, by the way."

"Aziza."

"That's a really pretty name." He complimented. "So, Aziza. You're only in town for a week."

"That's right."

"Well, I've gotta show you some really cool spots before you go." He proposed. "Can I get your number so we can talk and plan something for tomorrow?"

Aziza smiled at Sam and nodded. He pulled out his phone from his inner breast pocket and she punched in the digits to her cell phone. She went to take another sip from her drink and Sam secretly, but successfully snapped a quick picture of her.

They talked for the rest of the night and ordered a few more drinks until they were basically laughing at everything the other said. When the bartender cut them off, they noticed how scarce the place had become and Sam asked if he could take her home. She was planning on walking, but accepted his offer and they headed out of the restaurant to his black Lexus LS. He opened the door for her and she told him where her temporary home was.

Unfortunately, the ride was short and it seemed like Sam was pulling up to her house way too soon. She thanked him for keeping her company tonight and said that she was looking forward to hearing from him tomorrow.

Aziza got out of the car and Sam waited until she was inside her house before pulling off. When he was driving and came to a red light, he looked over at his passenger seat and realized that Aziza had left her bouquet of flowers behind.
