Chapter 133: Sneasel's Resolve
Hello everyone, this chapter will focus on the group still traveling to Ecruteak City but run into an obstacle and something happens to Ash's Sneasel. I hope you all enjoy it.
The chapter begins 3 days after the group left Greenfield. During the past 3 days Ash has been battling many trainers and is gaining a lot of experience for his Johto captures. Ash's Sneasel has been winning battle after battle and is growing very fast. We now come into present time and see the group somewhere in the mountains. As they continue to walk, we see Ash up ahead with Brock along with Misty lagging behind as Misty speaks.
"Are we there yet? It's been 1 hour since we got here." Misty asks while having a tired look on her face as Brock speaks.
"Not yet." Brock says making Misty sad as Ash looks back at his friends and speaks.
"Come on guys why are you lagging behind? The mountain climb isn't that bad." Ash asks as Misty looks at him and speaks.
"Easy for you to say as we don't have the same amount of energy as you." Misty says with Brock agreeing with her. Ash looks at his friends, seeing that they're tired and speaks.
"You know maybe we should take a break. Pikachu and I are going to run up ahead to see if we can find a nice spot for us to rest at." Ash says with his friends nodding as Ash along with Pikachu run forward. Once they reach the top of the mountain they look around as Ash speaks.
"This seems like a good spot." Ash says with Pikachu agreeing with him as he calls down to Misty and Brock saying that they can rest here with the two kids nodding. Once Misty and Brock reach Ash they all begin setting up for lunch. Then once that's done, they all pull out their Pokeball's and speak.
"Everyone come out!" The 3 trainers say as they send out their Pokémon. Ash sends out Pyroar, Luxray, Dracovish, Bayleef, Sneasel, Ursaring and Houndour. Misty sends out Vaporeon, Togetic, Psyduck, Slowking, Carracosta, and Starmie. Brock sends out Steelix, Bastiodon, Garganacl, Midday Lycanroc, Stantler and Pineco. Everyone begins happily eating their food as Misty speaks.
"This is nice." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Yeah, it was a good idea to have lunch here so that we can recharge ourselves." Brock says with Ash and Misty nodding. As they continue to eat, they notice that some of the nearby Pokémon consisting of Sentret, Aipom, Natu, Xatu, Mareep, Flaaffy and many other Pokémon appear. The mons look at the food that the group is eating as Brock smiles and speaks.
"Here you can have some too." Brock says as he gives some food to the mons making them happy. After that, once everyone is done eating the groups Pokémon along with the wild mons begin happily playing with each other with the 3 trainers watching them. As they all continue to play suddenly a large beam comes crashing down on the area and blows everyone away creating a big cloud of smoke. This causes the group to cough as when the smoke clears Ash looks at his friends and speaks.
"Misty, Brock, are you okay?!" Ash asks with the two trainers nodding as their Pokémon run over to them they then hear a voice.
"Oh, so you kids are here." The voice says making the group look as they see the Iron Mask Marauder along with his Tyranitar. The group have surprised looks on their faces and speak.
"It's you!" The group say as they then see that the Pokémon they were playing with earlier are all injured. This makes the group angry as Ash looks at the man speaks.
"You'll pay for what you did to the Pokémon!" Ash says with his Pokémon, Misty, Brock and their Pokémon agreeing with him as the Marauder speaks.
"You can try and unfortunately for you. I'm not alone this time." The Marauder says as suddenly multiple Team Rocket grunts appear and begin sending out multiple Pokémon. The Pokémon that they send out consists of Zubat, Golbat, Sandslash, Koffing, Machoke, Weavile, Kantonian Graveler and Scyther. The mons glare at the groups mons with the groups Pokémon looking at them as the Marauder speaks.
"Now attack and steal their Pokémon!" The Marauder calls with the grunts nodding as they command their Pokémon to charge forward Ash speaks.
"Let's go guys!" Ash says with Misty and Brock nodding as they all tell their Pokémon to charge too as a big battle begins. We see multiple explosions everywhere with Pokémon firing out their attacks. We zoom in on the chaos and see Ash's Houndour knock a Graveler away. Suddenly a Sandslash along with a Scyther go to hit Houndour as Ash speaks.
"Houndour dodge! Pyroar use Flame Charge and Luxray use Wild Charge!" Ash calls. Houndour jumps back easily evading Sandslash and Scyther's attacks as Pyroar and Luxray appear and hit the mons easily knocking them away. We then see Ash's Ursaring punch a Machoke away with Hammer Arm when he does that multiple Golbat fire Air Slashes at the bear as Ash speaks.
"Ursaring use Double Team and Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Ash calls. Ursaring quickly creates multiple clones of himself and dodges the slashes of wind. Pikachu sparks his cheeks and fires out a bolt of electricity that connects with the bats easily knocking them out. We now pan around the battlefield seeing Misty along with her Pokémon and Brock's Pokémon defeating multiple grunts and also defending the wild Pokémon that were injured.
Next, we see Ash's Dracovish running around using Dragon Rush, Bayleef using Leaf Storm and Sneasel using Sludge Bomb to knock more and more Pokémon away. As the fighting continues over with the Mask Marauder and his Tyranitar the man has an annoyed look on his face and speaks.
"This is taking too long." The man says as he looks at Tyranitar and speaks.
"Use Earthquake!" The man calls with the mon nodding as it stomps its foot on the ground causing the whole mountain to shake. The attack hits some of the grunts Pokémon while the group quickly call theirs to dodge with them doing so as the Marauder speaks.
"Tyranitar use Hyper Beam!" The man calls with the mon nodding as it fires out a large orange beam Ash speaks.
"Pikachu counter with Thunder!" Ash calls. Pikachu lets out a mighty "Pika!" and fires out a large electric bolt that connects with the beam creating an explosion. When the smoke clears the Marauder has an angry look on his face as Ash looks at him. Just when the battle is about to continue the mountain begins to shake surprising everyone. As it continues to shake everyone begins seeing multiple cracks forming and boulders coming down. Seeing this the Marauder speaks.
"Retreat!" The man says with the grunts nodding as they return their Pokémon and begin running away. Over with the group they decide that they should run away too and begin returning there Pokémon other than Pikachu and Steelix back to their Pokeball's. Brock has the injured Pokémon go on Steelix's back as over with Ash when he goes to return Sneasel back to her Pokeball the mountain shakes again causing Ash to let go of the ball as it begins rolling away. Sneasel sees this and begins running over to the ball while doing her best to dodge the boulders. A couple seconds later Sneasel makes it to the ball and is about to run over to Ash as the Marauder sees her and speaks.
"Hyper Beam Tyranitar!" The man calls with the mon nodding as it quickly fires out a large orange beam that heads for Sneasel as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu quick use Thunder!" Ash calls. Pikachu nods as he quickly fires out an electric bolt that connects with the blast creating an explosion. The explosion causes Sneasel to be blown a few feet away and lands on her back. As Sneasel begins to stand back up the floor beneath her begins to crack more and more. Ash along with Pikachu see this and begin running over to Sneasel as Ash speaks.
"Sneasel!" Ash calls in worry as Misty speaks.
"Ash wait!" Misty exclaims and when she's about to run forward a boulder appears going to hit her, but she manages to dodge. Over with Sneasel the floor begins cracking more and more, making Sneasel worried as she then hears Ash's voice.
"Sneasel! Jump towards me!" Ash exclaims. Sneasel sees Ash along with Pikachu running towards her, making Sneasel happy as when she does the Mask Marauder smiles and speaks.
"Tyranitar use Hyper Beam again!" The man calls with the mon nodding as it fires out another orange blast that heads for them. Ash along with Pikachu and Sneasel notice this as when the blast is about to hit them Pikachu quickly jumps in front of it and summons a Protect barrier. When the beam connects with the barrier it creates a big explosion causing the floor beneath Ash along with Pikachu and Sneasel to shake more as it then creates a big hole. The 3 of them have surprised looks on their faces and begin to fall down. The Marauder has a smile on his face as he then returns Tyranitar and begins running down the mountain. Over with Misty along with Brock they see Ash, Pikachu and Sneasel fall into the hole having surprised looks on their faces as Misty speaks.
"ASH!" Misty exclaims and is about to run forward but Brock quickly pulls her back as a boulder almost hits her. Brock looks at Misty and speaks.
"You can't Misty we need to get these Pokémon along with ourselves to safety!" Brock says with Misty not wanting to at first but then looks at the injured Pokémon on Steelix's back and speaks.
"Okay." Misty says as they then get on Steelix causing the steel snake to move forward getting away from the mountain. Meanwhile, over with the hole that Ash and the two mons fell in the entrance gets covered by multiple rocks. We now focus in on Ash, Pikachu and Sneasel falling down. As they continue to fall Ash quickly grabs the two mons and places them safely into his jacket. Once he does that, he then hits his back on something and a rock hits his head. Ash groans in pain but then sees that he's getting closer to the ground.
Ash manages to readjust himself and begins sliding down the wall trying to slow himself down. As he's doing that his left ankle hits something which causes Ash to fall again. Seeing that he's about to hit the floor Ash holds onto Pikachu and Sneasel tightly as he then hits his back on the floor. Ash bounces up a little bit and coughs in pain. A couple seconds later Ash falls back down and is now unconscious. Pikachu along with Sneasel then get out of Ash's hold and begin trying to wake him. When they try, they see that Ash's unconscious and have worried looks on their faces as they continue trying to wake him up.
20 minutes later we come back over to Misty and Brock who've made it to a Pokémon Center. They've handed Nurse Joy the injured Pokémon from the mountain then started making their way back to the mountain. When they make it back, they see that the entrance is closed. Not wanting to remove the rubble as it could cause the mountain to shake again, they decide to go look for another entrance that'll take them inside the mountain. Once they leave, we head back inside the mountain and see Ash lying in what looks to be a pile of leaves and is still unconscious. A few seconds later Ash opens his eyes, groans a little in pain, lifts himself and speaks.
"Ow." Ash says while rubbing the back of his head along with his back. Once he does that, he then sees that he's lying in a pile of leaves and looks forward. Ash sees Pikachu, Sneasel, Bayleef, Ursaring, Houndour, Pyroar, Luxray and Dracovish next to a fire that they made then speaks.
"Guys?" Ash says making the 8-mons look over at him when they do, they all get smiles on their faces and run over to him. Pikachu along with Bayleef, Sneasel and Dracovish make it to the boy first and tackle him to the ground with the others making it too having smiles on their faces. We see Pikachu, Bayleef and Sneasel hugging Ash while Dracovish's happily nibbling on Ash's head making the boy laugh as he speaks.
"Hahaha I'm happy to see you too guys, but can you please get off me? I'm still a little hurt." Ash says with the 4-mons nodding as they get off of him. Ash looks at the 8-mons, smiles and speaks.
"I'm happy that you're all right." Ash says with the mons nodding. Ash then sees that the entrance up above is closed and sees that the only way out is forward. Ash looks at his Pokémon and speaks.
"Come on let's get out of here Misty and Brock are probably worried." Ash says with his Pokémon nodding. Then when Ash goes to stand, he groans in pain and falls back down. This makes Ash's Pokémon concerned as they go to him asking if he's all right with the boy saying that he is. Ash then looks at his left foot and sees that he has sprained his ankle. The boy, along with his Pokémon, have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Seems like I won't be able to walk for a while." Ash says as over with Sneasel she has a sad look on her face as if it wasn't for her not reaching Ash in time he wouldn't be hurt. Ash looks over at Sneasel, sees that she's sad and speaks.
'Hey Sneasel, me getting hurt isn't your fault. I just made a mistake while we were falling is all and besides my ankle will heal so it's okay." Ash says while trying to put the mon at ease with Sneasel nodding as she still feels sad Ash then speaks.
"Now seeing as I won't be able to walk for a while Dracovish I want you to carry me on your back." Ash says with the mon nodding as it allows Ash to get on its back. Pikachu, along with Sneasel then get on Ash's shoulders as Ash then looks at his other mons and speaks.
"Okay Ursaring, Houndour I want you two to use your noses to sniff out an exit. Luxray use your X-ray vision and Pyroar light up your mane so that we can see where we are going. Bayleef, I want you to stay behind the rear and watch our backs for any Pokémon that could attack us." Ash says with his Pokémon nodding as Ash speaks.
"Okay let's go!" Ash says with the mons nodding as they put out the fire and Houndour along with Ursaring begin sniffing the ground. Once they get a scent, they're ready to go. Luxray uses her X-ray vision to help see up ahead for any potential threats and Pyroar heats up his mane making the area brighter. Bayleef gets behind Dracovish to make sure that no Pokémon attacks them. After that they all begin to run forward with Ursaring and Houndour leading the way.
As they're making their way towards an exit 20 minutes pass. During this time, they got lost a couple of times thanks to Ursaring's poor sense of direction making them run into multiple dead ends. Houndour decided to take the lead and ran into a couple of dead ends too which surprised the dog while Ursaring chuckled making the dog growl at him. They also ran into a few Pokémon that tried to attack them consisting of Golbat, Golem, Kantonian Onix and a Nidoking.
Luxray along with Pyroar easily drove the Golbat and Golem away using Discharge and Flamethrower respectively. When an Onix tried to attack them from behind Bayleef quickly used Vine Whip and slapped it away. A Nidoking tried attacking too but Dracovish easily blew it away with Hydro Pump causing the mon to run away. Then after running into a few more Pokémon along with some dead ends the group reach a big wall. Ash looks up, he can see that it leads to the outside and speaks.
"Nice looks like we found our exit." Ash says happily making his Pokémon happy as well. Ash looks at the wall again and speaks.
"Seems, like we need to climb it." Ash says as he looks at Luxray, Pyroar and Ursaring then speaks.
"Okay Luxray, Pyroar, Ursaring try climbing it." Ash says with the 3-mons nodding as they begin climbing the wall. As they're climbing, they only manage to reach about 10 feet before sliding down. The 3 mons try climbing again but the same thing happens which makes the 3-mons frustrated and when they try to go again Ash speaks.
"Okay that's enough." Ash says with the 3-mons nodding as Ash begins to think.
"The wall is too steep for them to climb." Ash says as with Sneasel she sees her trainer lost in thought then looks at the wall. Sneasel gets a determined look on her face then jumps off Ash's shoulder and lands on the ground as Ash speaks.
"Sneasel? What're you doing?" Ash asks as Sneasel points at the wall Ash speaks.
"Are you saying that you want to try climbing it?" Ash asks with the mon nodding. Ash remembers that Sneasel's good at climbing and speaks.
"Okay Sneasel we'll leave it to you. Once you make it through the exit, go find Misty and Brock and tell them where we are." Ash says with Sneasel nodding as she runs over to the wall. When Sneasel gets close enough she looks at the wall, takes a deep breath and begins to climb it. As Sneasel's climbing she's going at a fast speed making Ash along with his other Pokémon smile as Ash speaks.
"Yeah! Go! Sneasel!" Ash along with his other Pokémon let out a cheer. Over with Sneasel as she continues climbing the wall she hears their cheers and has a smile on her face. As Sneasel continues to climb she's noticing that it's starting to become a lot harder but keeps going as she's getting close to the exit. Then just when Sneasel's about to reach the exit the wall becomes more difficult to climb as she loses her footing and begins to fall. Ash, along with his other Pokémon, have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Bayleef quick grab Sneasel with Vine Whip!" Ash says with Bayleef nodding as she quickly fires out 2 vines that manage to catch Sneasel and place her down. Sneasel tells Bayleef thank you with the mon nodding as Ash speaks.
"Darn even Sneasel couldn't get up there. What can we do now?" Ash says to himself as he begins to think. Over with Sneasel she sees Ash in thought trying to think of a way to get them all out. Sneasel looks at Ash's left foot remembering that she's the one that caused the injury though not on purpose. Sneasel knows that Ash getting injured isn't her fault but still feels responsible, she then looks back at the wall and begins to climb it again. Ash along with his Pokémon, look at Sneasel climbing up the wall again as Ash speaks.
"Sneasel?" Ash says as over with Sneasel she continues to climb until she falls on the ground. Sneasel gets an angry look on her face and tries again but the same thing happens. Sneasel keeps trying again and again but she continues to fall and isn't making it closer to the exit like the first time. When Sneasel falls again she has a frustrated look on her face and goes to try again as Ash speaks.
"Sneasel stop that's enough!" Ash says making Sneasel look at him as Ash speaks.
"You did your best Sneasel you don't need to hurt yourself anymore." Ash says with his Pokémon agreeing with him. Sneasel looks at them understanding what they're saying but still goes to try again as Ash speaks.
"Bayleef grab her with Vine Whip!" Ash calls with Bayleef nodding as she quickly fires out two vines that grab Sneasel before she could begin climbing the wall again. Sneasel begins trying to break out of the hold as Ash speaks.
"Sneasel, I understand you're frustrated but come on we can look for another way out." Ash says with his other Pokémon agreeing with him. But Sneasel disagrees as she looks at them and speaks.
"Sneasel! Sne! Sneasel!" Sneasel yells saying that there are no other exits and that this is the only way out and wants to be the one to help her trainers along with her teammates. Sneasel also says that if it wasn't for her then their trainer wouldn't have gotten hurt, and they all wouldn't be stuck down here. Ash's other Pokémon can hear what Sneasel is saying while over with Ash he may not know what Sneasel is saying fully but can tell what she's saying based on her expression. Ash gets a sad look on his face, looks at Dracovish and speaks.
"Hey Dracovish, can you let me down?" Ash asks with the mon nodding allowing for Ash to get off his back. Ash then begins walking over to Sneasel while trying not to put a lot of pressure on his ankle. When he gets close enough to her, he bends down and speaks.
"You're still blaming yourself for what happened right?" Ash asks with Sneasel nodding as Ash continues to speak.
"Yes, while it is true that I did hurt myself while saving you us being down here isn't just your fault but mine too." Ash says making Sneasel look at him as Ash continues to speak.
"If I'd been a little faster at returning you, you wouldn't have needed to grab your Pokeball that way we could've escaped the mountain with Misty and Brock. So, you're not the only one that feels bad about what happened as I feel bad too." Ash says as Sneasel continues to look at him Ash continues to speak.
"Also, Sneasel while I admire you continuing to try reaching the exit I along with your teammates don't like seeing you get hurt." Ash says with his other Pokémon agreeing with him as Sneasel looks at them Ash speaks.
"So, come on Sneasel let's go see if there's another exit." Ash says while having a smile on his face with Sneasel still looking at him. Sneasel admires how kind/brave Ash is as he's not scared of being down here with the possibility of never getting out. Sneasel looks at Ash and nods making Ash happy as he speaks.
"I am happy that you understand Sneasel." Ash says with Sneasel nodding as just when they're going to begin looking for another exit Sneasel remembers something and speaks.
"Sne, Sneasel, Sne" Sneasel says catching Ash's attention as he looks at her and speaks.
"What is it Sneasel?" Ash asks with Sneasel pointing at Ash's backpack as the boy speaks.
"You need something from my backpack?" Ash asks with the mon nodding as Ash puts his backpack down allowing for Sneasel to go through it. Then when she finds the item that she's looking for she pulls it out. Ash sees the item that Sneasel pulled out is the Razor Claw and speaks.
"The Razor Claw? Why'd you bring that out?" Ash asks as Sneasel looks at her trainer giving him a look that says this'll help her. Ash looks at Sneasel, nods and speaks.
"Okay Sneasel I'm not exactly sure how the Razor Claw will help you climb the wall, but we believe in you." Ash says with his other Pokémon agreeing with him. Sneasel looks at her trainer along with her teammates and smiles. After that Sneasel looks at the Razor Claw, takes a deep breath and closes her eyes. Sneasel then holds the item close to her chest as she then begins to glow a bright white surprising Ash along with his Pokémon as Ash speaks.
"Sneasel's… Evolving?!" Ash says while having a surprised look on his face with his other Pokémon having surprised looks too. They see Sneasel grow taller, her arms/claws grow longer, and her left ear gets a long black/red feather that extends down her back. When the light of evolution fades what was once a Sneasel is now a Sneasler. The mon opens her eyes and has a smile on her face while Ash along with his other Pokémon are surprised as Ash then pulls out his Pokédex to scan the mon.
"Sneasler The Free Climb Pokémon, a Fighting/Poison Type and the fully evolved form of Hisuian Sneasel. Because of Sneasler's virulent poison and daunting physical prowess, no other species could hope to best it on the frozen highlands. Preferring solitude, this species does not form packs." The Pokédex says as Ash speaks.
"So, Sneasel evolved into a Sneasler." Ash says while looking at the mon, smiles and speaks.
"Amazing Sneasler! Congratulations on evolving!" Ash says with his other Pokémon telling her congratulations too which makes Sneasler smile. After that Sneasler begins asking her teammates for supplies with the mons nodding as they begin to gather them making Ash confused. A couple minutes later the mons return and have brought multiple sticks and hand them to Sneasler as Ash speaks.
"What are you going to do with these sticks?" Ash asks as Sneasler begins to make something with the sticks. A couple minutes later and Sneasler has made a human sized wooden basket. Sneasler then asks Bayleef for some leaves for the bedding with Bayleef nodding as she uses Leaf Storm and places the leaves in the basket. Once that's done Sneasler gets a smile on her face and looks at Ash as he speaks.
"Are you telling me to get into the basket?" Ash asks with the mon nodding. Ash looks at Sneasler and nods as he returns his other Pokémon besides Pikachu and Sneasler back to their Pokeball's. Ash along with Pikachu then get inside the basket and when they do they feel just how comfortable it is. Sneasler then places the basket on her back as Ash speaks.
"Wait are you planning on climbing up the wall while carrying us on your back?" Ash asks with Sneasler nodding. Ash looks at Sneasler, smiles and speaks.
"Okay Sneasler you got this!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say making Sneasler smile as she then looks at the wall. Sneasler takes a deep breath, gets a determined look on her face and begins to climb. As Sneasler's climbing similar to her first time climbing it as a Sneasel she's easily doing it and it's a lot easier now that she's evolved. As Sneasler continues to climb she reaches the point where the exit is getting closer, but it suddenly becomes a bit harder to climb, thanks to how slippery it is, and the added weight of Ash and Pikachu doesn't help either. Sneasler slides down a little bit but manages to stop herself as Ash speaks.
"Are you okay Sneasler?" Ash asks with the mon nodding as she gets a determined look on her face and continues to climb. As Sneasler's getting closer to the exit it's becoming harder and harder, but Sneasler doesn't care and keeps going. Sneasler continues to climb more and more until a few seconds later she makes it through the exit. Once Sneasler makes it to the surface she sees that they're now in an open field with a forest nearby. She checks her surroundings seeing that it's safe then once she doesn't sense any danger, she places the wooden basket that's holding Ash along with Pikachu down. This allows for the two of them to get out of the basket and see that they're now on the surface. The two of them smile as they look at Sneasler and speak.
"We're back on the surface! You did it Sneasler!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say happily and hug the mon with Sneasler hugging them back. Then once they break out of the hug Ash still feels pain from his left ankle making the two-mons worried as he speaks.
"I'm okay, come on let's go to the nearest Pokémon Center." Ash says with the two-mons nodding as Ash brings out Pyroar. Ash along with Pikachu and Sneasler get on the fire lions back as he begins running forward and enters the forest. As Pyroar's running he, along with the others, hear the sounds of Pokémon screaming as Ash speaks.
"Sounds like there are Pokémon in trouble. Before we head to the center let's go over there first." Ash says with his Pokémon nodding as Pyroar begins running in that direction. A few seconds later they've made it to the destination and see the Mask Marauder, along with a few grunts are putting wild Pokémon in cages. The Marauder, along with the grunts, stop what they're doing and see Ash as the Marauder smiles and speaks.
"Oh, looks like you got out of the mountain." The Marauder says as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, we did and we're going to finish what we did earlier and defeat you!" Ash says as he along with Pikachu and Sneasler get off Pyroar's back. Once Ash touches the ground, he groans a little in pain from his left ankle with the Marauder noticing as he speaks.
"Looks like you hurt your left foot so instead of fighting how about you hand over your Pokémon and we'll leave that way you won't get hurt. The Marauder says while having a smile on his face as Ash speaks.
"Sorry but no my ankle may still hurt but my Pokémon and I can still take you down!" Ash says as he throws his other Pokeball's up in the are sending out Luxray, Dracovish, Bayleef, Ursaring and Houndour. The mons stand with Pikachu, Pyroar and Sneasler getting into battle stances as the Marauder speaks.
"Of course you'll fight." The Marauder says while letting out a sigh as he looks at his grunts and speaks.
"Get rid of them." The man says with his grunts nodding as they throw their Pokeball's forward sending out Zubat, Golbat, Sandslash, Machoke and Weavile. The mons look at Ash's Pokémon with Ash's Pokémon looking at them as Ash begins to think.
"Looks like there isn't as many as before well that's good for us." Ash says as he looks at his Pokémon and speaks.
"Okay guys let's do this!" Ash says with his Pokémon agreeing with him as when they get into battle stances Sneasler begins walking forward as Ash speaks.
"Sneasler?" Ash says as the mon stops and looks at Ash along with her teammates. Ash looks at the mon and speaks.
"Are you saying that you want to take them on by yourself?" Ash asks with the mon nodding, making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Okay Sneasler let's show them your new power after evolving!" Ash says with his other Pokémon agreeing with him making Sneasler happy as she gets in a battle stance. Over with the Marauder he speaks.
"The fool really thinks that one Pokémon can take down all of these Pokémon by itself? What an idiot." The Marauder says as he looks at his grunts and speaks.
"Get rid of it." The Marauder says with the grunts nodding as they command their Pokémon to attack causing the mons to run forward heading for Sneasler. Sneasler isn't worried as Ash speaks.
"Let's go Sneasler use Quick Attack!" Ash calls. Sneasler nods as she shoots forward at a fast speed, making contact with the mons and easily knocks them away. The grunts along with the Marauder all have surprised looks on their faces while Ash smiles and speaks.
"Okay Sneasler use Sludge Bomb!" Ash calls. Sneasler begins firing out multiple bombs of sludge that hit the mons creating explosions. Suddenly a few Sandslash's go to hit Sneasler with Drill Run as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Sneasler!" Ash calls. Sneasler quickly jumps in the air and avoids the attack. Sneasler then sees multiple Zubat and Golbat use Air Slash as Ash speaks.
"Sneasler knock them away with Poison Jab then use Quick Attack!" Ash calls. Sneasler covers her claws in poison and begins slashing at the slashes of wind easily getting rid of them. Sneasler then shoots forward and hits the Zubat's along with the Golbat's easily knocking them out of the sky as they're knocked out. Sneasler then lands on the ground and sees a Machoke going to punch her with Dynamic Punch as Ash speaks.
"Block Sneasler! Then use Bulk Up!" Ash calls. Sneasler quickly brings up her arms and blocks Machoke's attack as she's sent sliding back a few feet away. When Sneasler stops she then bulks up her body increasing her physical attack and defense stats. Sneasler has a smile on her face and looks at Machoke as Ash speaks.
"Okay Sneasler let's try out your new move! Use Dire Claw!" Ash calls. Sneasler nods as she covers her claws in poison energy, shoots forward and slashes Machoke landing right behind the mon. Machoke coughs in pain as it then falls forward landing on its stomach knocked out. Ash along with his other Pokémon cheer while Sneasler smiles. This makes the grunts angry as they command their Pokémon to attack Sneasler again. As the mons are heading for her Sneasler looks back at Ash telling him that she wants to use Dire Claw again with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Okay Sneasler use Dire Claw again and speed yourself up with Quick Attack!" Ash calls with Sneasler nodding as she covers her claws in poison then shoots forward speeding herself up with Quick Attack. Once Sneasler does that she begins running around the battlefield slashing multiple grunts Pokémon. As Sneasler continues to slash them Dire Claw's effect activates which can either poison, paralyze or make a Pokémon go to sleep. The grunts along with the Marauder are surprised when they saw that while Ash along with his Pokémon smile. Then once Sneasler's done we see that she has defeated all of the grunts Pokémon making Ash happy as he speaks.
"Great job Sneasler!" Ash says with his other Pokémon cheering while Sneasler smiles and flips her black/red feather back behind her head. The grunts then return their Pokémon as the Marauder looks at them and speaks.
"You're all pathetic how could you lose to one Pokémon?!" The Marauder says in anger with the grunts telling him sorry as the Marauder takes a couple steps forward and speaks.
"Looks like it's up to me." The man says as he pulls out 3 Pokeball's and speaks.
"Come out!" The man says as he throws the 3 balls up in the air sending out his Tyranitar, Weavile and Scizor. The mons look at Sneasler with Sneasler looking at them as Ash speaks.
"3 on one's not fair!" Ash says as the Marauder speaks.
"Like I care." The Marauder responds, making Ash angry as he looks at his other Pokémon and speaks.
"Okay guys you ready?" Ash asks with the mons nodding as when they're about to walk forward Sneasler looks back at them saying that she can take them on herself. Ash looks at Sneasler and speaks.
"Are you sure Sneasler?" Ash asks with the mon nodding with Ash nodding too as he speaks.
"Okay Sneasler let's go!" Ash says with Sneasler nodding as she gets in a battle stance the Marauder speaks.
"If you think that your Sneasler can defeat my 3 Pokémon like it did with the grunts then think again! Scizor use Bullet Punch!" The Marauder calls with Scizor nodding as it covers its pincers in steel energy and shoots forward instantly appearing in front of Sneasler. Scizor goes to punch Sneasler as Ash speaks.
"Back away with Quick Attack!" Ash calls. Sneasler nods as she quickly backs away dodging Scizor's fists. Then once Sneasler gets a few feet away Weavile appears on her left side as the Marauder speaks.
"Use Night Slash!" "Block Sneasler!" Both trainers' call. Weavile covers its claws in dark energy and goes to slash Sneasler, but Sneasler quickly blocks it with her left claws. Suddenly Scizor appears on her right side and goes to punch Sneasler, but Sneasler quickly blocks with her right claws. As Sneasler continues to block she sees Tyranitar charging up a Hyper Beam as the Marauder speaks.
"Fire Tyranitar!" The Marauder calls with Tyranitar nodding as it roars firing out a large orange blast that heads for Sneasler. Then when the beam is just about to make contact with her Ash speaks.
"Jump Sneasler!" Ash calls. Sneasler nods as she quickly jumps in the air avoiding the beam causing it to hit Weavile and Scizor instead creating an explosion. Sneasler looks at Tyranitar as Ash speaks.
"Sneasler use Quick Attack and hit Tyranitar with Rock Smash!" Ash calls. Sneasler nods as she shoots forward at a fast speed, covers her left claws in red fighting energy and punches Tyranitar hard across the face causing not only super effective damage but also lowering the mons physical defense. Tyranitar groans in pain then looks at Sneasler as the Marauder speaks.
"Use Hyper Beam!" "Dodge Sneasler then hit it with Dire Claw!" Both trainers' call. When Tyranitar fires out the beam Sneasler evades by moving to the right then covers her claws in poison and slashes Tyranitar's face. This causes damage to Tyranitar as the Marauder speaks.
"Use Crunch Tyranitar!" "Sneasler jump away!" Both trainers' call. Tyranitar covers its teeth in dark energy and goes to bite Sneasler, but the mon easily dodges then places her feet on Tyranitar's head and propels herself back as the Marauder speaks.
"Use Hyper Beam Tyranitar!" The Marauder calls. When Tyranitar goes to use the move, it stops as it's now paralyzed making the Marauder mad. He sees Scizor along with Weavile standing back up and speaks.
"Scizor, Weavile attack Sneasler!" The Marauder calls with the 2-mons nodding as they see Sneasler in the air and are going to attack the mon as Ash speaks.
"Sneasler boost yourself with Quick Attack then hit Weavile with Poison Jab!" Ash calls. Sneasler nods as she shoots down at a fast speed, covers her right claws in poison and jabs Weavile hard in the stomach knocking it back on the ground creating a cloud of dust. Inside the dust cloud Scizor begins trying to look for Sneasler as Ash speaks.
"Sneasler use Rock Smash then Brick Break!" Ash calls. Inside the cloud of dust Sneasler appears in front of Scizor, covers her left claws in red fighting energy and uppercuts Scizor. Sneasler then covers her right claws in white fighting energy and chops down hard on Scizor's head causing the mon to crash face first into the ground. Then when the dust clears it shows Sneasler standing while both Weavile and Scizor are on the ground knocked out. The Marauder has a surprised look on his face as over with Ash he smiles and speaks.
"Yeah! Way to go Sneasler!" "Pika!" Ash along with his other Pokémon let out a cheer as Sneasler looks at them and smiles. Meanwhile over with the Marauder he has an angry look on his face then looks at Tyranitar and speaks.
"HYPER BEAM TYRANITAR!" The Marauder calls with Tyranitar nodding as it lets out a roar and fires out a big orange beam at Sneasler. Just when the beam is about to hit her everyone hears a voice.
"Steelix use Flash Cannon!" "Vaporeon use Hydro Pump!" The voices say as a Flash Cannon along with a Hydro Pump appear and collide with the beam creating an explosion. Then when the explosion clears it shows that Misty, her Vaporeon and Brock have appeared and are riding on Steelix's back. Ash looks at them, smiles and speaks.
"Misty, Brock!" Ash says happily with his Pokémon happy to see them with Misty, Vaporeon, Brock and Steelix happy to see them too. Over with the Marauder he has an angry look on his face but can tell that if he stays to battle then he's going to lose even if he decides to bring out his other 3 Pokémon. The Marauder returns his Tyranitar along with his Weavile and Scizor back to their Pokeball's then looks at the grunts and speaks.
"We're getting out of here! Grab the Pokémon that we've captured!" The Marauder says with the grunts nodding as they grab the Pokémon that're in cages and begin running away as Ash speaks.
"They're getting away!" Ash says as Brock speaks.
"Don't worry they won't get far." Brock says making Ash confused as over with the grunts suddenly Officer Jenny along with multiple police officers appear out of the bushes. The Marauder along with the grunts all have surprised looks on their faces as the officers begin arresting the grunts and save the Pokémon that're in the cages. A few officers go to apprehend the Marauder, but he manages to dodge them then throws down a smoke bomb which makes the officers cough as when the smoke clears they can see that the Marauder is gone. Jenny along with the officers are annoyed that the Marauder got away but are happy that they managed to save the Pokémon and also arrest a lot of Team Rocket grunts and begin taking them to jail. Jenny, along with a few other officers, heal the Pokémon that were captured in cages and set them free. Jenny looks over at Misty and Brock telling the kids thank you then goes away. Once Jenny is gone Misty along with her Vaporeon and Brock get off Steelix's back and begin running over to Ash. When they get close enough Misty speaks.
"Ash are you okay?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, my left ankle is sore but other than that I'm fine." Ash says with Misty and Brock nodding as Misty then hugs Ash with Ash hugging her back. Then when they break out of the hug Ash looks at his friends and speaks.
"By the way how did you guys find us?" Ash asks as Brock speaks.
"After we took the injured Pokémon back to the Pokémon Center, we came back to look for you but saw that the entrance was closed." Brock says as Misty speaks.
"Not wanting to cause the mountain to react again we started searching for another entrance to the mountain and after 30 minutes of looking we couldn't find one." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"We then began hearing multiple explosions in this area thinking that you got out and were in a battle. Thinking that you were battling Team Rocket we contacted Officer Jenny with our Pokégear's and told her where we were heading." Brock says as Misty speaks.
"Then upon seeing you along with your Pokémon we knew that we were right." Misty says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Thanks for finding us guys and I'm sorry for making you worry." Ash says apologetically as Brock speaks.
"It's okay Ash we're just happy that you're okay." Brock says as Misty speaks.
"We're also used to seeing you get into dangerous situations at this point too." Misty says with Ash nodding. After that Sneasler walks over to the group making Misty along with Brock look at her as Misty speaks.
"Ash is this who I think it is?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"Yep, this is Sneasler she's the fully evolved form of my Sneasel." Ash says with Sneasler nodding. Ash then begins to tell Misty and Brock how his Sneasel evolved with the two trainers nodding as they then congratulate Sneasler which made the mon smile. After that Ash then feels pain on his left ankle again as Brock speaks.
"We should take care of that injury come on let's head to the Pokémon Center as I'm sure that you along with your Pokémon are exhausted." Brock says with Ash along with his Pokémon agreeing as Ash returns his Pokémon other than Pikachu back to their Pokeball's he along with Misty, Vaporeon and Brock get on Steelix's back as the mon begins heading for the center. Once they've made it to the center a few hours pass with Nurse Joy along with her Blissey taking care of Ash's Pokémon and Brock also putting some healing cream on Ash's ankle to help it heal. Then when Ash's Pokémon are healed the group decide to stay the night at the center so that Ash's ankle can heal.
It's now the next day the group see that the injured Pokémon that they brought to the center have been fully healed and are sent back into the wild. Once they're gone the group tell Nurse Joy thank you and head out as well. We see the group walking on a trail as Misty looks at Ash and speaks.
"How's your left ankle Ash?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"Feels a lot better thanks to the cream that Brock put on it." Ash responds with Misty nodding as Brock speaks.
"I'm happy that it helped." Brock says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"You know now that I think about it it's been a while since we've ran into Team Rocket." Ash says with Misty and Brock nodding as Misty speaks.
"True and even though the Mask Marauder got away I'm happy that the other grunts got captured." Misty says with Ash and Brock nodding as Ash speaks.
"Anyway, enough about them let's continue our journey for Ecruteak City!" Ash says as he pulls out all of his Pokeball's and sends out his Pokémon. Pikachu then gets off Ash's shoulder as Ash looks at the mons and speaks.
"Hey guys seeing as my ankle is feeling better let's race to the next town!" Ash says with the mons nodding as they all begin running forward leaving Misty and Brock behind. The two trainers let out a sigh but then smile as they begin to run forward too. We now cut away from the group and head over to a building that's in the middle of a forest and hear an explosion. Inside the building we see multiple Team Rocket grunts defeated and tied up as we see that it was Silver who defeated all of them. Since Domino lost track of Silver in the previous chapter, it's allowed him to find more of Team Rocket's hidden bases as he's been able to defeat the grunts, destroying their Pokeball's which allows the Pokémon that they have to be released and also released the Pokémon that they've captured. Silver does find it strange that he can find the hidden bases now but couldn't before but doesn't really mind. Currently we see Silver opening multiple cages that have Pokémon inside them then speaks.
"Get out you're free." Silver says with the mons nodding as they begin running away. The last Pokémon to leave is a shiny Eevee who looks at Silver and thanks the young man as Silver looks at it and speaks.
"You're welcome now get out of here." Silver says with the Eevee nodding as it begins running away. Silver then hears police sirens and speaks.
"Sounds like it's time for me to go." Silver says to himself as he leaves a note for the police saying that the Red Avenger did this then leaves the building. As Silver's walking unbeknownst to him, that same Eevee that he saved is currently following him but is making sure that Silver doesn't notice it. As the mon continues to follow Silver it accidentally steps on a branch creating some noise which makes Silver look back, but he doesn't see anything then speaks.
"Must be my imagination." Silver says as he continues to walk forward, we see the Eevee still hiding and lets out a relief sigh as it continues to secretly follow Silver the chapter comes to an end.

I decided to have Sneasel evolve here as it felt as though it was time and instead of it being during a battle I wanted to show her struggling to climb the wall and then evolve which gave her the power to do so. Also, now that Sneasel's evolved we also got to see how she battles as a Sneasler as well.
Next chapter will come out next week and will be split into two parts. The first half of the chapter will have the group reunite with Casey again and she along with Ash enter a bug catching competition. The second half of the chapter will focus on the group meeting a Pokémon called Bonsly who's being chased by a Pokémon Hunter. I hope you all look forward to it.
