Shelters and Olympian Storms:
One day, in Steve's and Wonder Woman's hotel suite...
Wonder Woman as Diana and Steve are on Steve's bed. They're watching a news report on TV.
The news reporter on the TV screen is wearing mostly black. She has medium dark blond hair. She wears black rimmed glasses.
The news reporter says, "surprise snowstorms have been reported across the Midwest this week. They started when a battle broke out over the god Hermes arranging a play date with Apollo."
A weather forecast for New Gateway, Florida from March 9, 2014 to March 15, 2014 is displayed on the TV screen. It's somewhat chilly.
A weather chart for the United States shows snowstorms across the Midwest: Except for Texas.
The news reporter nervously continues, "if you asked most people years ago if Greek gods existed in real life? They would have just laughed. But... The destruction caused by the battles of pantheons in recent weeks is no laughing matter. Tidal waves from Greek gods fighting over seismic airguns have led to coastal flooding in Mexico, New Mexico, and Texas."
Video news footage shows Athena, Apollo, Zeus, both Heras, and Poseidon fighting over some large seismic airguns on oil rigs. Poseidon was trying to take over the world by stealing these seismic airguns and giving it to his Sirens to broadcast their siren song across the world's oceans.
Athena and Zeus are firing god and goddess lightning bolts at each other. Poseidon and Apollo are sending god tidal waves and giant sharks at each other.
A weather chart for the United States shows water waves over the edges of three certain states.
The news reporter brings up, "a battle of the pantheons started over forbidding Clotho, one of the Three Fates from Greek mythology, from dating a god from Athena's pantheon. Who is this god, you may ask? He is a self proclaimed god that goes by the name "Mister Lava". Faint laugh. What kind of name is that anyway? Ahem. Long story short... London, England has been destroyed in the aftermath of this battle of the pantheons. Greek god and goddess followers in Rome and Greece have started fighting each other over these battles of the pantheons. Italy and Greece has plunged into chaos. Many people have escaped to the Greek islands."
A set of flashes go by on the screen: Of a god battle around a nightclub in London, of Zeus and both Heras firing god and goddess lightning bolts at Mister Lava, of Athena and Apollo firing god and goddess water balls at Zeus and both Heras, of Mister Lava and Clotho running for cover...and of streets across London burning down while hundreds of mortal run for cover.
News clips show groups of Gaiaic followers fighting in the streets of Greece and Italy. Hundreds flee in a panic.
The news reporter adds, "prayers for hope, students skipping school, and worries of further destruction from gods and goddesses are all at record highs."
The news reporter gets teary eyed. She holds her hands together.
The news reporter concludes, "I too am praying for hope. Nervous gulp. And, the whole world is asking: When will the Greek gods and goddesses give us more hope instead of destruction?"
Diana turns off the TV with a remote. She heavily sighs.
With mixed feelings... Diana thinks out loud, "when will the destruction between Zeus's pantheon and Athena's pantheon stop? I know Athena's pantheon can be trusted. But..."
Steve puts a comforting arm around her.
With mixed feelings... Steve figures, "I know, angel. I know. They're so busy fighting Zeus's pantheon that they can't seem to stop to notice the destruction left behind."
Diana reasons, "yeah. And, mortals and Amazons can only do so much by themselves."
They solemnly look at each other. They're both getting teary eyed.
Steve highlights, "well... There has got to be a way to stop the fighting between the two pantheons. Worst to worse? You'll find that way soon enough. You've brought peace to the world on your own and with friends by your side, Diana. I have faith in you."
They smile some to each other. The teariness in their eyes starts to dry up.
Diana tells him, "thank you Steve. I really needed to hear that." Steve adds, "you're welcome."
With a reflection from Diana's portable magic mirror... Their silhouette heads blend as one.
Then... Diana's cell phone rings.
She mutters, "oh damn. It's Amanda Waller. Moderate sigh. I'm sorry. I got to answer this."
Steve assures, "it's okay. I understand wanting to keep a step ahead of Amanda Waller."
Diana kind of lightly reflects, "thank you. I'll let you know how that goes this time around."
Steve chuckles a little at that.
They wave goodbye to each other. Steve leaves the bedroom.
Over her cell phone... Diana answers, "hello. This is Diana Prince, ready for duty. The password for today is princess charming."
Amanda Waller answers, "correct. Hello Diana Prince. I'm Amanda Waller. Wonder Woman is likely to show up at the Del Monte Center in California tonight. For this Cadmus mission? You should find a way to convince her to take you for a ride there. It'll be easier this way since you're good friends. She still had no idea you're working for me, right?"
On the last part? Diana tries hard not to laugh.
Diana figures, "yes. That is correct, Amanda Waller. Now, why are you so sure Wonder Woman will show up at the Del Monte Center tonight?"
Amanda Waller explains, "Livewire has been sighted in Monterrey, California. Some of our agents with spirit energy blades tried to take her down. But... It didn't go well. Livewire has threatened to destroy Cat Grant over her support of so called "superheroes". Cadmus doesn't try to destroy mortals: We try to protect them. Cat Grant is making a appearance at the Del Monte Center tonight for a grand opening of her new clothing line Catco. Let Wonder Woman deal with Livewire this time. Your mission is to investigate a potentially greater threat."
Diana gulps nervously. She makes a nervous face.
She figures, "I'm listening."
Amanda Waller explains, "we haven't found a paper trail or electronic traces for a new line of shelters across the country. This likely means either they are a front for a spy organization or they were created by powerful beings calling themselves gods. They're called the Silver Hearth Family Disaster Relief Shelters. They claim they're helping families, wives, and husbands recover from lost spouses and from destruction from god and goddess battles. You might ask where I'm going with all of this. I'll tell you. Ares and Aphrodite haven't been seen in the public eye in a week. Your mission is to find out if these shelters are secret bases for their battle plans. You'll be going undercover to one of the shelters to get a private tour."
That night, in Monterey, CA...
People are walking around and through the Del Monte Center's shops and garden areas. There are quite some smiles on people's faces tonight.
A crowd is gathered by a clothing store. It has a sign that says Catco in green lined gold letters. A big purple ribbon is in front of the store's door. The walls are yellow lined and sparkly purple. The clothes go from black sweater like shirts with star patterns to dark green sleeveless dresses.
A helicopter with a Catco logo is about to land by the Del Monte Center.
Livewire appears not far from the Catco store. She has long white hair with blue dyed hair on the edges. She has ghostly pale skin. She wears a open jet black jacket over light blue.
Livewire remarks, "kitty kitty... I've warned you before. You shouldn't fly too close to the clouds. You could get struck...by lightning!"
With a twisted smile... She's about to fire lightning at the helicopter.
Diana as Wonder Woman gets her golden lasso around Livewire.
Livewire's lightning fires harmlessly into the air. Wonder Woman already has her battle wear on.
With a smirk... Wonder Woman remarks, "look around Livewire. Your broadcast is all tied up."
Many people are gathering. They're excitedly taking pictures of the two with their cell phones.
Livewire annoyedly mutters back, "hey! I had a great radio show for counterculture... The only best kind of culture... Until you super-tight "heroes" got in the way of my greatness!"
She uses some built up lightning energy to turn into a big flash of lighting.
Wonder Woman and the crowd reactively cover their eyes.
Livewire jump phases into some street lights for the garden areas. They flicker on and off.
Livewire appears by a Apple store. She is about to fire lightning at Wonder Woman from behind.
But... Bana-Mighdall Artemis grabs Livewire by surprise.
Bana-Mighdall Artemis taunts, "oh, we're not all "super-tight". You tried to wipe out my Amazon sister in spirit Diana. I'm now your worst Amazon nightmare!"
She hurls Livewire hard through a wall. Livewire crashes into a medieval themed fast food place.
A sign for this place says Bread and Sticks Tower in mostly dark blue letters. It mostly serves hot dogs, burgers, and salads. There are wood tables with pictures of medieval keeps on them.
People run in a panic from the Bread and Sticks Tower.
Livewire says, "you're... Hard groan. So going down for making me crash here."
Bana-Mighdall Artemis is about to fire a spirit energy arrow at her.
But... From the ground... Livewire fires a lightning blast into her.
Bana-Mighdall Artemis groans hard. She struggles to get up.
Wonder Woman checks, "hey Artemis. Mind if I help you stop this washed up shock jock?"
Bana-Mighdall Artemis kind of lightly goes, "why not? It's your Amazon honor I'm defending tonight." Wonder Woman lightly adds, "I'll take that as a yes."
Livewire draws on the electricity in the Bread and Sticks Tower. The lights in the place go out.
She fires several lightning bolts at Bana-Mighdall Artemis and Wonder Woman. They both use their mostly red spirit energy blades to deflect back her lightning bolts.
Glass windows shatter. Pots and pans crash.
But... Livewire gets Wonder Woman with a lightning bolt.
Wonder Woman groans hard. She's struggling to get up.
With a twisted smile... Livewire declares, "lights out, Catty Chatty and Wonder Fun Kill."
Bana-Mighdall Artemis angrily cries out, "no! ! !"
She is charging for Livewire.
A smiling Cat Grant is standing in Catco, making a celebratory speech about her new business. Fans, reporters, and some bodyguards are gathered around her.
Livewire fires a big lightning bolt for the Catco store.
A guy with medium reddish blond hair is walking by the store. He's too busy talking on a cell phone to hear anything.
There's a cry of mental pain.
Livewire tries to fire a bolt of lightning for Wonder Woman.
Just then... Bana-Mighdall Artemis uses a ripped out fryer machine to whack Livewire hard.
A bolt of lightning gets absorbed into the conductive fryer machine. Livewire falls unconscious.
Wonder Woman considers, "I'd say that's overkill. But, this time with Livewire? I'll let...it go."
Bana-Mighdall Artemis helps Wonder Woman back to her feet.
Then... They both look wide eyed in shock.
A burnt crater is where the mystery guy was. Cat Grant and the crowd nervously gather around.
Bana-Mighdall Artemis starts to ask, "what by the goddesses is...?!"
Teary eyed... Wonder Woman grimly realizes, "Livewire was aiming for Cat Grant. Someone else got destroyed before we could stop her. Nervous sigh. I'm thankful we stopped Livewire. But... At what cost, Artemis?"
They give each other nervous looks. Bana-Mighdall Artemis gets teary eyed.
A mortal half hour later, in Diana Prince's U.S. fighter jet...
Picture Claire says, "Diana... I did some mystical spying by the nearest Silver Hearth Family Disaster Relief Shelter. And... Moderate sigh. You're not going to like where this is going."
Wonder Woman makes a nervous face. She is sitting in the cockpit.
Picture Claire shows the mystery guy with his cell phone on one side of the cockpit screen. She shows a mystery woman with long slightly curly brown hair on the other side of the screen.
The mystery woman is walking down a crosswalk. A silvery hearth like building is behind her.
She is talking on her cell phone. She looks teary eyed and shaky.
The mystery guy is walking out of a clothing store. The store has a sign that says Banana Rubies in red lined letters. The logo for it is two bananas with red rubies sprinkled between them.
Picture Claire explains, "Nick Flank was managing this Banana Rubies in the Del Monte Center. The time from the traffic camera shows his wife Lisa walking out of a Silver Hearth Family Disaster Relief Shelter...in a heated argument with him just before he is destroyed by Livewire."
Wonder Woman figures, "I hear what you're saying Claire. But... Heavy sigh. Why would Livewire be secretly working with family oriented shelters to help destroy Lisa's husband?"
Picture Claire somewhat nervously admits, "I don't know either. But... Moderate sigh. Nick and Lisa clearly were not happy together. I have Claire Montgomery's experience working with Maxwell Lord and dating him. I know a business staging trick when I see one."
Not long after, in King City, CA...
Diana has come to a certain Silver Hearth Family Disaster Relief Shelter.
Diana comes disguised as a different U.S. fighter. She is wearing a wig of medium curly dark brown hair. Her undercover name is Sherry Vanhoven.
Diana as Sherry is getting a tour from the shelter's legal representative. Her name is Addison. She has long dark brown hair with a ponytail. She wears a tan brown jacket over purple.
Jet black rimmed magic mirrors and matching office phones are on top of call center styled white desks. Several women sit at the desks. The shelter's walls are mostly dark green.
Sherry solemnly says, "thank you for giving me this tour, Addison."
Addison reflects, "you're quite welcome. Wonder Woman, Steve Trevor, and their friends have saved countless families from global disaster at least several times. The least we can do is show the U.S. fighter forces we want to help protect countless families too."
She shows Sherry a file room with several success stories on posters on walls.
Gwen Martson, Darla Dugan, Addison Beaumon... They're all women who lost their husbands, came to the shelter for help, and gave permission to publically show their success stories.
Diana as Sherry notices, "your success story is there too. That had to take a lot of courage."
With a wide smile... Addison reasons, "yes. Moving on, the poster... It all did. Thank you."
Diana as Sherry gets teary eyed. She knew there had to be at least some truth to those posters.
She blatantly lies, "you know? I... Hard sniffle. I recently lost my husband in the line of duty."
Addison solemnly tells her, "I'm really sorry for your loss. Your husband was a good man."
Sherry adds, "thank you. I really appreciate that." Addison adds, "you're welcome."
They walk to a hall. There is a counseling room for women and a counseling room for men.
Sherry states, "Addison... You have different rooms for women and men. Why is that?"
Addison explains, "our boss thinks it's comforting for women to privately talk to women about family. Not all our counselors are women. But, men don't come often." Sherry just says, "I see."
Addison suggests, "men are reluctant to talk about family issues. I think it's how they're raised."
Addison tensely glares on the last part.
With a faint smile... She is quick to say, "well... I hope this tour helped you with some closure."
With some mixed feelings... Sherry figures, "yes. It has. Thank you."
Addison admits, "also... Not many get to see the boss. But... She wants to meet you, Sherry."
Diana as Sherry admits, "well... I'm flattered and surprised. I'd really like to."
Addison figures, "you're quite welcome. Feel free to come back anytime."
She shakes Sherry's hand. They exchange goodbyes.
Diana as Sherry walks into the boss's office. It's just down the hall.
And... She looks wide eyed in shock at the sight before her.
She sees Hestia sitting in a chair by a tall desk shaped storm cloud.
Diana realizes, "ohh...by the gods. You're the founder of these family disaster relief shelters?!"
Hestia points out, "yes I am... Diana Prince. Also known as Wonder Woman."
Diana awkwardly remarks, "damnit! What is the point of being a double agent in Cadmus if I could just walk right in as Wonder Woman every time?!"
Hestia tries to assure, "don't be so hard on yourself, Diana. It was a good deception. I'm a goddess of law and order. It didn't take much figuring out for me about your secret identity."
Diana awkwardly says, "well... Thank you. I take it though there's more to this meeting?"
Hestia divulges, "you're welcome. You'd soon put all the pieces together anyway. So... I'll just tell you. With other gods and goddesses lately not cleaning up their own world disasters? I decided to operate more independently to clean up what they can't. However... The inspiration for these shelters came when Silver Banshee wondered if all spousal bullies could be sent to Tartarus earlier. I heard her wish, and I granted it. Yes: I hired Livewire to destroy that bully Nick Flank to try to throw you and Cadmus off the track. So what if I and Silver Banshee have been secretly destroying spousal bullies sooner? They're all going to Tartarus anyway."
Diana somewhat tensely argues, "you could've just locked them all up in cells. You didn't need to destroy them and cover it all up with cover stories. Have you gone crazy with power too?!"
With a slight glare... Hestia highlights, "I find that insulting. Look at the news. Almost all the gods and goddesses are too busy fighting each other lately to help anyone! How is that going to be much different now for bullied wives, their husbands, and their families? You tell me."
Diana nervously gulps. She is finding it hard to look right at Hestia.
Hestia thinks out loud, "I didn't think so. Moderate sigh. Look Diana. I know you want to stop evil people. I do too. You know... It would be better if you worked for me and not against me."
Diana solemnly concludes, "there just has to be a better way to protect bullied wives, Hestia! Moderate sigh. I don't want to fight you either. Just please give me a day to think about this."
Hestia bittersweetly smiles at that. The teariness in Diana's eyes is slowly but surely drying up.
Hestia contemplates, "very well Diana. I like a good rebuttal: Even on my own actions. You have one day to make your case. I won't even tell Silver Banshee I'm giving you that chance."
Diana says, "thank you." Hestia says, "you're welcome."
Hestia puts a somewhat comforting hand on hers. Diana bittersweetly smiles.
The next day, at Etta Ranch's house...
Diana and Etta are sitting on a 1950's styled black couch. A jet black TV set is in front of them. Etta kind of lightly points out, "you don't usually ask for my advice."
A little teary eyed... Diana somewhat awkwardly concludes, "I know Etta. But... You're really good at diplomatic channels. You're also one of my best friends."
Etta has let down her medium curly golden brown hair. She is wearing a light blue bathrobe.
The walls of her house are green and blue. There are paintings of rocky beaches on the walls.
Most of the rooms have at least two classic style wood carved bookshelves. One bookshelf has a shelf with DVD sets of the show The West Wing and DVDs of most of Olivia NJ's movies.
With a wide smile... Etta assures, "hey. I'm proud to be your best friend too. But, we're both as good with diplomacy. Don't doubt yourself about it."
Etta puts comforting hands on Diana's. Diana awkwardly smiles.
Etta turns toward a bookshelf not far from them.
It has a shelf with pictures of Etta's summer camp days. She was then a obese little girl: Eating tons of candy, getting tired easy on hikes...and winning arm wrestling contests against boys.
Etta turns back to face Diana.
Diana figures, "but how am I supposed to convince Hestia not to send bullies to Tartarus quicker? That's like asking Hades not to let them into Tartarus!"
Etta kind of lightly deduces, "come on, Diana. It's simpler than you think. If enough high school students stand up to a bully... He or she would most likely leave them alone."
Diana smiles wide. The teariness in her eyes starts to dry up.
Diana figures, "I may not know much about modern school systems. But... That is really good advice. Thank you very much Etta. I know what I have to do now."
They hug each other close.
And... Over Diana's shoulder... Etta says, "you're welcome Diana."
Several mortal hours later, in a house in King City, CA...
A guy angrily calls out, "you called the cops. I know you did Katie!"
He smashes a vase with flowers. The guy has medium balding black hair. He's in a white T-shirt.
Water, broken vase pieces, and flowers fall inches away from a frightened woman. She has slightly short red hair. She is wearing a buttoned white shirt and blue pants.
Tears are falling from Katie's face. She is crying out, "Joey, please stop! !"
Joey mutters, "you don't know what going through a rough patch is like, you dumb ****?!"
He grabs Katie by the throat. She's struggling to breathe.
Silver Banshee sonic screams, "you like scaring girls? This girl is going to make you scream!"
Joey cries out in mental pain. He reactively lets go of Katie.
Just then... Diana as Wonder Woman gets her golden lasso around Silver Banshee.
Wonder Woman points out, "look Silver Banshee. I know we both want to save bullied wives. But, no one is getting destroyed today!"
On the last part? She pulls Silver Banshee toward her with the golden lasso.
Silver Banshee angrily fly charges for Wonder Woman. They're exchanging punches in midair.
Katie runs through a door. She closes the door behind her and stands against it.
With a twisted smile... Joey rants, "you think that will stop me?! I was a cop. I'm untouchable!"
He pulls out a light gun pointer. He's about to fire it at the door.
Just then... A voice says, "no you're not. You're anything but smart."
Sherry fires laser fast fire from her light gun pointer. Wonder Woman ahead of time as Diana called her for backup.
Joey reactively drops his light gun pointer. He's clutching his side. He's groaning hard.
Joey looks frightened now. He runs out of the house in a panic.
Suddenly... Hestia calls out, "enough! You've made your point, Wonder Woman."
Wonder Woman and Silver Banshee stop fighting. A backyard is in ruins from sonic screams.
They see Athena, Zeus, the two Heras, and Hestia standing outside the house. The two Heras look nervous. Zeus, Athena, and Hestia look ready to blast each other with their powers glowing in their hands. Police cars and ambulances are around the house with sirens going.
With a heated glare... Silver Banshee incredulously cries out, "what?! I was going to destroy that ******* husband, when that goodie two shoes Wonder Woman comes in and...!"
Hestia coldly says, "and that's why you're no longer welcome at my shelters."
She creates a goddess portal to send Silver Banshee away before she can angrily charge after her.
Katie and her teenage daughter are nervously standing at the front door to her house.
Katie asks, "is...he gone?"
Wonder Woman walks over to them. She puts a comforting hand on Katie's.
Wonder Woman assures, "he can't bully you anymore. You and your daughter are safe now."
Katie adds, "thank you." Wonder Woman adds, "you're welcome."
Katie, her daughter, Sherry, Wonder Woman, Bana-Mighdall Artemis, Donna Troy, Athena, both Heras, and Hestia are standing there now in a circle. They're all smiling in a knowing way.
In the clouds...
A set of flashes with silhouettes fly by: Of people across Greece and Italy shaking hands in peace, of Zeus and Hades grumbling some to themselves, and of Livewire grumbling to herself in a non-conductive Cadmus cell.
Another set of silhouettes fly by: Of Athena and Hestia shaking hands, of a group of women with spirit energy blades forming called the Silver Hearth Sisters...and of the Silver Hearth Sisters helping defend bullied wives from their spousal bullies with spirit energy blades.
Some of the spousal bullies run away.
Some fall unconscious at the hands of the Silver Hearth Sisters. They wake up in cells later.
And... Across the world... Most everyone is smiling and cheering: Including Steve Trevor, Etta Ranch, Queen Antiope, Harbinger...and Picture Claire from a certain United States fighter jet.
