Seasons of Wonder: A Wonder Woman Fanfiction Story
A Imperfect Fantasy, Part 1:
In a mystical watery dimension...
Wonder Woman and Donna Troy are sliding down a waterfall. They're laughing and smiling. They're casually holding hands.
Greek styled aqueducts, columns of bubbles, Amazon statues, silvery blue rimmed sideways magic mirrors with touchscreen like maps of ancient civilizations... They all pass by in watery blurs.
In mortal seconds... Wonder Woman and Donna Troy slide down into a magic portal.
They appear at the entrance of a certain pyramid on the island of Themiscrya. A banner across it says "Themiscrya's Waterfall Pyramid – Special Today".
Donna Troy lightly says, "that was fun! Can we go again soon? I want to try to crack those map puzzles."
Wonder Woman chuckles. She figures, "sure we can, Donna."
They smile to each other.
Queen Antiope and Queen Hippolyta decided for today to have a Amazon party on Themiscrya. They're hoping it will help them and their Amazon nations get along better.
There are archery contests with watery targets over part of one of the rivers. There's wine and platters of food. There's swimming in the rivers.
Wonder Woman and Donna Troy walk over to a dining table among many in a large circle around the two pyramids. Each dining table has a tablecloth with Themiscrya's Amazon battle wear colors.
They see Etta Ranch and Steve Trevor standing there.
Etta has her hair back in a bun. She is wearing a pink lined dark blue puffy sleeved dress.
Etta is in the midst of saying, "come on Steve Trevor. You're worrying too much."
Steve looks concerned.
Wonder Woman checks, "what's wrong? Maybe I can help."
Steve asks, "angel... I got to know: Why are kid Amazons swimming with sharks? Aren't they going to get hurt?"
Wonder Woman somewhat lightly points out, "Steve... We're all at least five hundred years old. I think we're old enough."
Donna Troy annoyedly comments, "except me."
With a wide smile... Etta assures, "oh come on Donna. You've practically lived through lifetimes. Although... A little adult supervision might be good just to be sure you don't get captured by a evil god."
Donna Troy adds, "thank you." Etta adds, "you're welcome."
At the same time... Wonder Woman and Steve say, "nice save."
All four of them smile at that.
Meanwhile...
Phillipus and Adrasteia are talking at the party. They each are holding a glass of wine.
Phillipus considers, "yes. I think spiritwear would help fortify the defenses of both Amazon nations."
With a smile... Adrasteia lightly goes, "great! When should I start crafting them?"
With a smile... Phillipus reasons, "whenever you're ready Adrasteia. But... How about we test out spiritwear in the water with help from some Amazon families on Themiscrya before making them for everyone?"
Adrasteia says, "okay. You got a deal."
They shake hands on it.
Back with Steve and Wonder Woman...
Queen Antiope and Queen Hippolyta are walking over to them. They're both smiling wide.
They say hello to Steve, Etta, Donna Troy, and Wonder Woman. They say hello back.
Queen Hippolyta assumes, "from what I saw from my portable magic mirror... I take it you and Donna like my funhouse?"
A little stunned... Wonder Woman realizes, "wow. T... That was your idea?"
Etta adds, "I'm surprised too." Steve says, "seconded."
Queen Hippolyta explains, "I was inspired by a man's world idea. Some Amazons helped me magically build it for this special occasion."
Queen Antiope lightly points out, "including myself, sister."
Queen Hipolyta kind of lightly adds, "true. Still... I designed it all myself."
Wonder Woman remarks, "who are you, and what have you done with my mother?"
Queen Hippolyta, Queen Antiope, Donna Troy, Steve, and Etta laugh.
Queen Hippolyta highlights, "I'm still your mother, Diana. But, last year was the first time in hundreds that you proved that sometimes your way is better than mine."
Everyone else smirks.
Wonder Woman lightly goes, "really?"
Queen Antiope deduces, "it wasn't easy for my sister to admit. But, it's not a trick. She means it." Queen Hippolyta says, "thank you, sister."
Queen Hippolyta reflects, "you and a whole team of you from other universes saved all universes including ours. You tamed two goddesses of the wild. I'm proud you're my daughter, Diana."
Wonder Woman somewhat lightly whispers, "I appreciate we're getting along better, mother. But... I wouldn't go as far as publically saying I tamed Devastator Woman and Circe. Devastator Woman would take it the wrong way, and Circe... Well, it's a toss up if she would too."
Queen Hippolyta firmly says, "I understand."
Queen Hippolyta cuttingly remarks, "also... If you can make a honest man out of a United States corporeal... You can make a honest man out of any man."
Steve kind of lightly points out, "hey! When have I not been honest with you or your daughter, Queen Hippolyta? You'd probably be quick to tell me if you thought I wasn't."
On the first part? He puts his hands up.
Most of them look amused.
Hippolyta considers, "very true."
Antiope says, "that's a fair point." Steve figures, "thank you Queen Antiope and Queen Hippolyta."
Steve lightly wonders, "also... What's for dessert?"
Sounding amused... Wonder Woman and Etta say, "oh Steve."
Donna Troy annoyedly goes, "oh brother."
Queen Antiope and Queen Hippolyta laugh.
Suddenly... A wave of remote controlled versions of dark red Crimson S.Y.S.T. E . Matic battlesuits appear across the world...led by a figure in a battlesuit with a blade.
Lyla flies fast to scout ahead.
There's distant blurs of space-time around the two. Clashing forces in hundreds of dancing lights.
Just as fast as it came... Lyla falls fast for Themiscrya.
She groans hard. She's struggling to stay conscious.
Wonder Woman and most of the Amazons nervously murmur, "oh gods. Oh goddesses."
All the Amazons, Etta, and Steve rush over to Lyla.
Queen Antiope asks in concern, "Lyla! ! What happened?"
Harbinger reveals, "Coeus's...god blade. Hard cough! She pulled it out... Hard cough! Before I... Hard cough! I could punch her down..."
And... She falls unconscious.
Wonder Woman whispers, "gods! I wish Gaia and Uranus didn't put it back in time for someone else to end up finding."
Donna Troy solemnly nods.
Queen Hippolyta instructs, "Phillipus, Adrasteia... Get to magic mirrors to cancel out any space portals this mystery threat makes. We can't underestimate her."
Queen Antiope nods to Adrasteia. Phillipus nods to Queen Hippolyta.
Phillipus and Adrasteia hurry to the second pyramid. They're each heading to a vacant Amazon bedroom to get to a magic mirror.
Queen Antiope and Queen Hippolyta tell their Amazon forces to stand ready. They all draw out their bright blue and bright red spirit energy blades.
Then... The figure in the battlesuit shows herself.
She wears a mostly blue sky like battlesuit with red arm plates and red leg plates. Her helmet and her chest plate is bright yellow.
The figure coldly declares, "I'm Cylvia Anita Anderson. I was the agent Elder Heart of S.Y.S.T.E.M. But... With Coeus's god blade in my grasp? I will be the destroyer of gods. I just had to keep searching through time for the perfect day to strike. And... Now... Laugh. Go ahead and pray to your pathetic gods. It won't matter. Not to the power of me: Doctor Cyber. Ares, Aphrodite, Hera, Zeus, Athena, Gaia, Uranus... All they do is create chaos and pointless destruction! ! Chaos may be gone. But... All gods and their followers will fall by my hand. And with their fall? There will be no more chaos and destruction. Humanity will live happily ever after. Laugh. Too bad your Amazon leaders are good friends with Athena and Apollo... Because you've already spelled out your destruction! !"
Doctor Cyber has her S.Y.S.T. E . Matics fire plasma beam cannons across the world.
On Themiscrya... Both Amazon nations are firing spirit energy arrows at the S.Y.S.T. E . Matic
Away from Themiscrya... Batman, Superman, and android versions of themselves struggle to hold them off in the sky.
With a wave of Coeus's god blade... Doctor Cyber tries to create space portals in the path of the spirit energy arrows.
The space portals flicker out thanks to two certain Amazons. But, only half of the spirit energy arrows fly past the space portal flicker.
Donna Troy, Wonder Woman, and Bana-Mighdall Artemis run jump charge for Doctor Cyber.
But... Three large dark purple serpents come out of nowhere.
Wonder Woman is knocked back hard by one. She barely tumble lands on her feet.
Donna Troy tries to wrestle one of the serpents in the air.
But... The nanobot crafted serpent in Donna Troy's arms easily spirals itself apart and back together.
Donna Troy gasps.
She falls hard to the ground. She falls unconscious.
Bana-Mighdall Artemis jump kicks off of all three nanobot serpents.
Bana-Mighdall angrily slashes her dark red spirit energy blade at Doctor Cyber.
She puts up two small cybernetic force shields on her arm plates to block her slashes.
Ten S.Y.S.T . E . Matics each have a plasma beam cannon short circuited by a spirit energy arrow.
But... Doctor Cyber uses her remote control on them to jettison their burning up robot arms for the Amazons.
They try to dodge the exploding arms and incoming plasma beams.
But... The combined fallout from both takes out most of the Amazons: Including both Amazon queens.
Doctor Cyber's cybernetic force shields combine into a large force field bubble...knocking Bana-Mighdall Artemis back hard.
She falls unconscious.
Teary eyed... Wonder Woman cries out, "Donna! ! Antiope! ! Hippolyta! ! Artemis! !"
Wonder Woman points out to Etta, "there may still be a chance to save the world from Doctor Cyber. But, we got to take down all her robots first."
At the same time... She quickly hands Etta part of her golden lasso.
They use the golden lasso's rope to smash through three of the S.Y.S.T. E. Matics All three explode.
Suddenly... A nanobot blue lion slashes its claws at Etta.
She falls unconscious.
Wonder Woman cries out, "Etta! !"
Just then... Steve knocks out Ariadne Pixnit from behind.
All the nanobot creatures go back into Ariadne's green and blue swirled gauntlets. They are gauntlets Doctor Cyber gave Ariadne to enhance the power of her ink laced nanobots.
Steve tells Wonder Woman, "I got Doctor Cyber's assistant. Go! !"
Wonder Woman quickly nods. She charges for Doctor Cyber.
S.Y.S.T. E . Matics are blasting Themiscrya and the other Amazons. Craters with fallen Amazons are covering the island.
With mixed feelings... Wonder Woman brings up, "you don't have to do this, Doctor Cyber. You have Coeus's god blade. You still have the power to go back in time and make things right for the greater good!"
She slashes her dark blue spirit energy blade at Doctor Cyber. Doctor Cyber keeps blocking her slashes with cybernetic force fields.
Doctor Cyber angrily mutters, "I am the greater good! You and all god followers are in the way! !"
She rams her cybernetic arm into Wonder Woman's head.
Wonder Woman coughs hard. She is dazed.
Just then... Steve whacks Doctor Cyber with a big robot piece of a S.Y.S.T. E . Matic.
Doctor Cyber coughs hard. She is dazed.
And... Steve takes Titan Coeus's god blade from her.
Steve is thinking to himself, "I hope this works."
A bright red portal starts to form by Wonder Woman.
Steve is the midst of telling her, "angel! It's all up to...you..."
And... Doctor Cyber slashes him from behind with a yellow lined red blade coming out of her cybernetic hand.
Steve falls unconscious. Doctor Cyber yanks the god blade out of his hand.
Wonder Woman cries out, "Steve! ! ! No! ! !"
Tears are falling from her face.
The portal Steve created takes Wonder Woman away...back into time.
And... Wonder Woman as Diana appears back in her and Steve's hotel suite...many hours earlier.
She sits up in bed. Steve is still sleeping.
Diana checks the time on the clock in the room. It's 6:00 A.M.
She breathes a mixed sigh of relief. The teariness in her eyes starts to slowly but surely dry up.
On the TV in the hotel suite... A kind of familiar voice says, "some people say I just deal in crime. But... Unlike what most U.S. fighters or European fighters say... I'm not always crashing the party."
A darkly smiling Crash Mik appears on the screen. Action figures of Darkseid's Furies past and present, a purple lined microphone with Crash Mik's face on it, and silver light gun pointer styled water guns appear by Crash Mik.
And... A logo pops up over his head that says "Crash Mik's Toys and Mikes" in balloon like purple letters.
Diana comments, "oh gods no! There must be a mistake on..."
Suddenly... The TV screen distorts between static, a silhouette with Doctor Cyber's helmet, and a silhouette of a woman with very long curly hair.
All the while... The song Blue Monday by New Order is playing.
Diana nervously questions, "what in Hades does this mean?!"
A little sleepily... Steve says, "hey Diana. What's going on?"
Just then... The TV screen goes back to normal.
Diana thinks out loud, "I'm not really sure. Steve... Do you by chance know of a song that goes like this? Those who came before me lived through their vocations... From the past until completion..."
Steve realizes, "they'll turn away no more. Yeah: I think I know the song. Blue Monday by New Order. It was a favorite song of mine in my college years."
They both suddenly hear the song Blue Monday by New Order play again. Yet, the TV screen is broadcasting normally. No static.
Diana looks wide eyed in shock. She sees Steve glowing in golden light.
Diana realizes, "Steve? I... I think when you got your hand on Coeus's god blade... You didn't just send me back into time to help save the world. You became a god! Do you remember anything from today?"
Steve kind of lightly concludes, "not really. Maybe it's a aftereffect of me becoming a god and being nearly destroyed when it happened. Still... If you're right... Chuckle. I don't see why we can't have some god fun before saving the world."
They both smile wide at each other. They're also holding hands.
In the clouds...
A set of flashes with silhouettes go by: Of Steve and Diana back in time in 2003 to ride on the roller coaster Batman: Knight Flight and enjoy most of the other attractions at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, of Steve and Diana playing with toy figures of most every famous United States fighter in history after Steve created them with his god powers...and of Steve and Diana dancing across some clouds on a clear blue day.
Later that day, on Themiscrya...
Lyla has recently fallen unconscious by Doctor Cyber's hand. Diana as Wonder Woman tried to convince Lyla not to try to fight her. But, Lyla was still determined to try to take down Doctor Cyber herself.
Queen Antiope and Queen Hippolyta tell their Amazon forces to stand ready. They all draw out their bright blue and bright red spirit energy blades.
Diana as Wonder Woman plans out, "don't worry, mother and Queen Antiope. I know: We should all stand ready against Doctor Cyber. I'll explain later how I know who she is. But, right now... While we have the element of surprise... Me and Steve will try damn hard to take her and her forces down."
On the middle part... She gets her golden lasso around Ariadne Pixnit by surprise.
Wonder Woman pulls her in. She knocks her out with one hard punch.
Queen Hippolyta considers, "very well, Diana. You and Steve Trevor are welcome to try. May Athena and Apollo continue to protect you both and both of our islands."
She, Queen Antiope, Etta, and most of the Amazons smile. Wonder Woman and God Steve smile back.
In a ray of light... Wonder Woman and God Steve fly together toward Doctor Cyber.
In god minutes, over the clouds by Themiscrya...
Doctor Cyber calls out incredulously, "what the...?!"
God Steve kind of lightly remarks, "hey Doctor Cyber. Looks like you missed a god!"
And... He punches Doctor Cyber hard before she can react.
Doctor Cyber coughs hard. She fluctuates some in the sky.
Wonder Woman lightly calls out, "good work, Steve! This was almost too easy."
Wonder Woman gets her golden lasso around Doctor Cyber and Coeus's god blade.
Doctor Cyber struggles to get out of the golden lasso. But, she's failing to.
With some mixed feelings... Wonder Woman reasons, "Doctor Cyber... You don't have to destroy gods to bring a happy ending. Yes: I know why you're here. Long story. But, my point now is... Me and my partner will stop you if you wave that god blade around. The Amazons are ready to counter your space portals. You might as well surrender."
Doctor Cyber darkly laughs.
She figures, "I admit. You have been clever. But... We're not in range of Themiscyra. Are we?"
On the last part? She creates a space portal under herself to try to drop down toward Themiscrya.
Wonder Woman tries to pull Doctor Cyber back up with her golden lasso.
But... In a goddess second... Doctor Cyber splits her space portal into two to separate herself from the golden lasso.
Soon... Wonder Woman and Doctor Cyber are exchanging fists across a bunch of space portals.
God Steve is trying to concentrate on getting a clear shot at Doctor Cyber. He frustratedly sighs.
Suddenly... Ares appears in his medieval battle wear.
Ares suggests, "you know... The other gods unanimously thought at this point that it would be good to send me first to deal with Doctor Cyber. How about we even out the playing field?"
And... He gets a very dark blue god lasso around Wonder Woman.
He hurls her hard into Doctor Cyber. Both of them are dazed in the clouds.
God Steve angrily cries out, "get away from my Amazon angel! !"
He punches Ares hard. He goes flying across some clouds.
Ares realizes, "well... I really didn't see that...coming..."
He's dazed. But, he's already starting to god restore himself.
God Steve smirks to himself. He gets a idea.
With a great deal of concentration... He starts having all of Doctor Cyber's S.Y.S.T. E . Matic fire at each other instead of at the world.
Doctor Cyber coldly cries out, "no! !"
She has her cybernetic battlesuit generate a large force field bubble around herself to knock Wonder Woman back hard. She groans hard.
And... With a very dark red glow... Doctor Cyber slashes Coeus's god blade into God Steve by surprise.
He falls unconscious.
Teary eyed... Wonder Woman cries out, "no! ! !"
With her golden lasso purposely laced around her arms? She charges for Doctor Cyber.
But... Doctor Cyber slashes the golden lasso in half with Coeus's god blade.
She's about to destroy Wonder Woman in mid-charge.
But... At the last god second... A portal opens behind Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman lands in a Gaianetarium.
She groans hard. She is starting to get up.
There's a god force field or goddess force field protecting her from the Gaianetarium flames.
And... A familiar voice implies, "Wonder Woman, Diana... Moderate sigh. There's a lot more going on here than you know. We have a lot to talk about."
Wonder Woman looks stunned.
For, standing there...is a bittersweetly smiling Aphrodite.
