After being forced to stuck with Gray for the entire hour of school it was over before Natsu knew it. And thank god cause he wasn't sure how much longer he can stand being around this striper.
Soon enough it was already the end of the day which means every student immediately went home, some stayed a little longer to hang out or do some other after school activities.
But for Natsu he just wants to go home and rest because he never felt more tried than he thought considering this is the first he's ever been to a real life public school before.
He and Gray were soon at the entrance where he and Lisanna first arrived. Though as they were just walking past by they saw a couple of jocks running past them.
"Whoa check out the jocks on their run". Gray said before turning to Natsu who doesn't seem to care. "Say you thinking about joining a club?".
"A club?". Natsu narrows his eyebrows.
"Yeah you know it's where you go do after school activities with other members". Gray explained before he remembers. "Oh wait, new members gotta wait a while before they can apply".
But Natsu doesn't seem to mind as he just shrugs. "I don't mind the wait honestly". He said dully. "Plus I'm still not sure what club to join even if I want to".
There was a bit of awkward silence where Gray noticed Natsu looked like he had something else on his mind. He sure wish he could read this guy's mind to know what he's thinking.
'I wonder what he's deal is?'. He thought curiously but decided not to push it.
"Anyways your stop at Iwatodai right?". Gray asked as Natsu nodded. "Dorms huh?. Must be nice, talk about living life wild and free".
"You mean you lived alone?". Natsu asked wondering as he looked at him. "I don't suppose you mind switching with me if your so interesting in the dorms".
Gray just chuckle hearing that even though he can't tell he was actually being serious. "I wish". He joked before heading off. "Well I'm going this way, so see ya tomorrow".
"Whatever man". Natsu just rolled his eyes not really caring as Gray went on ahead on the opposite direction he's going. "Finally he's gone. I mean he seems nice I guess aside his weird striping habits which I will never understand what he's deal is, but I really prefer to be alone right now".
"NATSU!". A voice that sounded so familiar that Natsu knew too well caught his attention. "FINALLY FOUND YOU!".
Natsu gasped as his sight earlier this morning was right all along and he did see Happy flying around the school cause it proves he is flying over to him right now. "What the?. Happy?". He looked shocked not expecting to see his exceed partner here. "What are you doing here?. Hold on...Were you here since this morning cause I could've sworn I saw you?".
Happy just blushed in embarrassed knowing he shouldn't be sneaking around the school. "I was. Sorry buddy, but I can't help but feel worried you weren't able to go on without me beside you". He said sadly. "I just missed you that's all".
Although Natsu never showed his true emotions towards anyone he can't help but understand Happy's cause he to feel the same way despite not able to show it. "I get pal. I was honestly lost without your company". He said honestly and sincere. "This is new for me too you know and whatever we like it or not this is part of our lives from now on. Gotta get used to it".
"I guess". Happy said agreeing sort of before looking at Natsu smiling a little. "I did see you making some new friends already. So glad to know you're doing okay. At least I won't be worried from now on".
Natsu scoff not sure he's ready for that yet. "Not sure if I considered that guy my friend's yet". He said sarcastically knowing he's referring to Gray. "That guy's a total weirdo".
"Yeah who strips in the middle of a classroom like that?". Happy said commenting that as well. "Just be careful with who you make friends with. Don't want to ended up being even more a weirdo by meeting another weirdo".
"Yeah yeah yeah". Natsu just groaned annoyingly hearing that before heading off. "Come on let's go back to the dorm".
"Aye sir". Happy said as he followed Natsu as always.
"By the way did you seriously fly all the way here?". Natsu asked curiously. "The way to the school from the dorm is pretty far if you're not riding the train you know".
...
Pretty soon it was already sunset and close to night time and Natsu and Happy arrived back at the dorm. Once they're there they saw Erza sitting on couch of the living room.
"Ah, welcome back". Erza greeted Natsu from returning from his first day of school. "How was your first day Natsu?".
Natsu just shrugs. "Not too bad I guess". He said casually not sure what to really supposed to say much about it.
"I kind of tried to sneak in the school because I was worried for Natsu". Happy confess before bowing down in apology. "I promise I won't do it again and stay at the dorm until Natsu gets back".
Luckily Erza knew about that already but she decides to let it slide. "I see". She said nothing else while just let out a sigh. "Well don't hesitate to ask your classmates for help if you need it".
"I'll look into it". Natsu said before flinched at the thought of Gray Fullbuster. "Though I'm not sure that pervy guy who likes to strips out of nowhere seems pretty reliable to me".
Erza then chuckle knowing too well who he's reference to. "I see you've met Gray Fullbuster". She said smiling reassuringly. "Don't worry although he has a weird habit with his...'Hobbies' he's a really nice guy once you get to know him".
"Did she really say Gray striping as a hobby?". Happy asked weirdly about it whispering to Natsu.
"Oh just roll with it". He said whispering not wanting to talk about that.
"Oh, my apologies. I didn't mean to keep you here". Erza said realizing the time. "You've had a long say, so get some rest".
'Okay Mom'. Natsu thought uncomfortably. 'Why does she have to speak so formally?. Is she royalty or something?'.
With that Natsu took Happy to his room. But just when they went to their room someone else entered the dorm.
She was a slim young woman of below average height. She has long, white hair which curls slightly at the ends, with two bangs framing her face and reaching down to her chest; her hairstyle's most distinctive trait is a short, upward ponytail obtained by gathering and tying the hair covering her forehead. She has large blue eyes and a curvy, voluptuous body, with large breasts.
Wears. sleeveless, ankle-length maroon dress with a pleated skirt. The chest is adorned by a large, pink bow, and similarly colored trimmings frame the rather ample neckline, acting as straps, and circle around the waist. High-heeled shoes that match her dress, and accessorizes with a small chain necklace with a blue oval gem attached to it, and a bracelet made of white flowers circling her right wrist.
The girl is Mirajane Strauss, Lisanna's older sister. Though some always seem to call her Mira.

"Was that the new guy?". Mira asked as she walked in. "I haven't had the chance to meet with him yet".
"I'm sure you'll get the chance to introduce yourself soon Mira". Erza said honestly."Is your sister doing okay?".
"Yes it seems she settled in quite nicely in her new class". Mira smiled friendly before looking a little serious. "Gajeel is going out for a bit again".
"I see". Erza just sighed hearing that.
"Have you seen the newspapers lately?. There's a lot going on". Mira said concerningly as she looked down sadly.
"I know, severe cases of Apathy Syndrome are suddenly developing in people who showed no symptoms prior". Erza shares info of the news she's been reading and hearing lately for the part few days. "It's been quite a topic of discussion. They say it's due to stress but...".
"Yeah right, it's gotta be 'Them' no doubt". Mira said seriously almost holding her breath. "Otherwise it's not worth our time. Or his time anyway".
Erza knows again who she's talking about. "We know that Gajeel has a one-track mind, do you think he'll be okay on his own out there?". She asked Mirai showing a bit of concern.
"I wouldn't worry about him". Mirai shook her head smiling reassuringly everything is okay. "He's just getting a little practice with his new powers".
With that said Mirai went to left Erza alone as she couldn't help but just sighed. "This isn't a game Mirai". She said concerningly. "I just hope he knows what he's doing".

It was already the second day as Natsu was making his way after arriving at the school hallway. Unlike this time he was alone rather than with Lisanna, and this time he made sure Happy stays at the dorm.
As he was making his way to class he can't help but overheard students talking.
"Hey, have you heard the rumor about uh...What was it again?, the bathroom?". A female student was talking to her friend.
"That's old news". The loud second student girl scoff not sounding impressed hearing that. "Besides it's just a ghost story, not a rumour. You're talking about that one girl right?, the second year?. She stopped coming to school and just sits around staring at the walls all day long. Whenever her mom tries to talk to her, the only thing she says is "It's coming... It's coming!" or something like that".
The chatty female student gasped when she heard that. "Is that really how the story goes?". She gasped freaking out before shrugging it off completely. "Eh, it's probably just made up anyway".
Natsu can't help but feel a little suspiciously hearing that. 'Some disturbing rumors seem to be spreading around the school'. He thought wondering about it. 'It's almost as weird as those weird strange things Happy tells me that's been happening when we first arrived. Those accidents...I wonder if they're connected?'.
But seeing he's not going to get anything just by thinking about it Natsu decided to just ignored it while continue his way as the bell rang.

Natsu was in his classroom with Miss Porlyusica doing the teaching right now.
"Alright humans, open your textbook and we'll take a look at the first novel by...Zenzou Kasai". She said looking completely bored and hated doing her job. "Ugh why him?. I've been more interested in Tota Kaneko's work lately. His essays are fantastic, and he's also a famous haiku poet. I wonder why all this isn't in the textbook...Well I guess I'll just bring his book next time".
The students couldn't help but snicker quietly at the fact that Porlyusica is taking to herself which is always a habit for her. "Speaking of hiatus, they often use words for phrases related to seasons, but it's easy to get them mixed up". She said dully. "For example, you think "Tasty bamboo shots" and "Vivid carps streamers" would symbolize spring right?. Well they're actually related to summer".
'Summer...My favorite season'. Natsu thought to himself fantasying before realizing something. 'Hold on doesn't my name "Natsu" means "Summer" too?. Cool!. Wait how I do know that?'.
"Haiku poets usually refer to seasons based on the lunar calendar, making it fairly complicated". Porlyusica said before noticing Gray wasn't paying attention. "Fullbuster!, are you listening?. Here's a question for you!".
Gray gulped knowing he's busted. "Ah crap". He said softly.
"Among these phrases "A rain of flowers" , "Mystical mirage" , and "Vivid carp streamers", which one symbolize summer?". Porlyusica said strictly giving a quiz tp Gray.
"Wh-what!?, uh...". Gray stammers nervously before turning to whisper at Natsu. "Psst Natsu, were you listening?. Lend a brother a hand!. What phrases symbolize summer?".
"First off we are not brothers man". Natsu whisper annoyedly before shrugging as he guess randomly. "And I don't know...Vivid carp streamers maybe?".
"Vidid carp streamers?". Gray guess what Natsu whisper at him without Porlyusica knowing.
"That's right". Porlyusica said impressed even though she doesn't know Gray had a little help. "It seems you were listening after all".
'Your welcome jerk'. Natsu thought frustratingly at the fact Gray didn't even thanked him for the answer. 'Though I didn't I'd be right. I'm usually a little lost at these questions. Maybe I'm smarter than I thought?. Nah!'.
"By the way "Mystical mirage" and "A rain of flowers" represent spring". Porlyusica explain the rest to the class. "A mirage is a natural phenomenon that occurs around late March to early June. And a rain of flowers refers to spring showers around the time cherry blossoms bloom. It's not literally raining flowers. Make sure you remember that, our next topic is...".
"Hehehe, well you know how much I like to pay attention". Gray chuckle jokingly before turning back to Natsu. "Man you seriously saved my bacon Natsu. Thanks man".
'Huh...So he does thanked me after all'. Natsu thought surprisingly didn't see that coming. 'Still though It was just a random guess. Didn't think I'd get lucky to be right'.

After the second day of his school day went by just like normal Natsu was making his way back to the dorm when he noticed how busy the Iwatodai Strip Mall is bustling with activity in the afternoon.
'Maybe me and Happy can go explore when I have free time from school later on'. Natsu thought to himself as he decides to plan that later for him and his buddy. 'But for now I'm too tried and just want to go back'.

As Natsu retuned back to the dorm he was a bit surprised to see Lisanna sitting on the living dorm couch with someone else. And Happy was there sitting on her lap.
He is a tall, elderly man with long, slicked back, silvery white hair, revealing his forehead. He also has a mustache, and a similarly long yet mildly thin and curly beard, reaching down to his lower chest. His right eye is usually seen covered by a simple eye-patch. A dark shirt paired with armored shoulder pads and shiny gauntlets, as well as chain-mail covering the parts of his arms remaining exposed, simple light pants with flames near the edges - held up by what looks like a light belt composed of two straps with the relative buttons, possibly part of the pants themselves, and dark, simple shoes/boot.

"Oh he's back". Lisanna said happily when she noticed Natsu walked in.
"Welcome back Natsu". Happy said welcoming his partner back as he flew up to him.
"So this is our new guest". The elder said calmly as he saw Natsu. "Good evening young man".
"Um...Hello?". Natsu said awkwardly not sure what to say as he doesn't know who he is. "And you are?".
"Natsu don't be rude!". Happy scolding him before sighing. He's always like this at strangers he just met.
"It's alright. And forgive me, my name is Precht Gaebolg". He said introducing himself formally. "I'm the chairman of the board for your school".
He the tried to crack a joke. "Precht, hard to say isn't it?". He tried to make a funny even though he wasn't good at it. Like at all. "That's why I don't like introducing myself too much, even I get tounge-tied sometimes. Please have a seat".
'Was he trying to be funny?'. Natsu thought confusingly before taking a seat with Happy on his shoulder. 'If so he's suck at it. And why is he giving me a creepy vibe?'.
"I apologize for the confusion regarding your accommodations. But it may take a bit longer before you receive the proper room assignment". Precht said seriously. "Is there anything you like to ask?".
"Oh that. I honestly have no problem with my room". Natsu said like it's no big deal as he shrugged. "Although the other night I got here I did saw...".
"Natsu!". Happy whisper to Natsu reminding him that they agreed to not talk about that to anyone.
"You saw... Something strange?. Like what?." He asked curiously.
Lisanna just gulped as she hoped Natsu wasn't going to bring up the gun thing even though that wasn't what he was going to say.
"You were probably just tried, I wouldn't worry about". Precht said reassuringly telling him it's probably nothing to worry about.
'Something doesn't seem right'. Natsu thought suspiciously not getting a good feeling about this man but kept it to himself.
"Any other questions?". He asked wondering if Natsu has anything to ask but he just shook his head showing that he's good. "Excellent, here's to a wonderful school year".
Precht then gets up preparing to leave. "Now if you'll excuse me". He said politely. "I'm sure you're worn out from all these formalities, you may want to consider go to bed early. As the say "The early bird catches the bookworm!". Get it?, "Bookworm" because you're students?. Clever isn't it?"
Unfortunately Natsu, Happy and Lisanna just groan in cringed at the attempt of a funny joke or pun or whatever that was.
"I don't get it". Happy just straight up being honest and finds that joke not funny at all. Luckily Precht had already left the building.
Lisanna sighed. "You'll get used to his lame jokes". She said reassuringly before getting up as well. "I guess I'll head back to my room too. Like the chairman said, you should get some rest. Transferring schools is a real pain when you're not used to it".
"Good night". Natsu said letting out yawn. "Come on Happy".
"Aye sir". Happy yawn as well getting sleepy as well.
...
Unfortunately unknown to Natsu and Happy. The chairman Precht didn't exactly left the dorm but rather he return in some sort meeting room with Erza, Mira, and Lisanna.
"Hello there". Precht greeted them with his presence. "So how's he doing?".
"He went to bed a little while ago, he's currently fast asleep". Erza said seriously as she sat on the chair with Mira and Lisanna monitoring Natsu from his room with a servilance camera that was placed secretly in his room.
"Um...Mr. Chairman, do you think he's...?". Mira asked nervously but couldn't seem to find the words to say it.
"Well let's wait and see for now". Precht said honestly knowing what Mirajane was going to ask but wasn't sure yet. "The Dark Hour is approaching".
Lisanna could only looked down feeling a little ashamed and guilty for doing this but unfortunately it must be done. It was to make sure if Natsu is like them or not. For his sake.
"I don't feel good about this Big sis". Lisanna said regretting doing this. "This feels wrong".
But Mira just put a hand on hers to reassure her little sister it's going to be alright. "Trust me Lisanna I don't like the idea of doing this either". She said trying to cheer her up. "But we must make sure if Natsu has the same potential as us or he's just a normal teenager. And make sure nothing bad happens to him like all those victims that happened during the Dark Hour".
AN: Hmm...Now what could they could be talking about?. Well you'll find out in the next chapter.
