AN: I combined my two thoughts somewhat and came up with this. Some of it is from Just Because It's Over Doesn't Mean It's Over by musicgirl1120 because it has Maggie and the Danvers duo that should come with a warning. All credits go to their respected people.

Also thank you for the kind words. It's great to know that people enjoy my writings.

Alright enough blabbing;) On with the story. ~Immortalshark

*Maggie's POV*

It was just after everything that happened with that one dude, the one from Alex's old school. I hadn't really taken Kara's shovel talk much thought because I thought it was cute. Now though, it could be a very real possibility of being launched into the sun. Anyway, about four hours later from rescuing Alex from the water tank, Alex was fighting Hamilton about staying in bed. Much to my dislike, Alex won the fight and was out of bed slowly walking to the command center. I sighed but helped her by wrapping an arm around her waist. We walked into the command center with the dude...ah yes Rick now I remembered his name.

I was nervous as to how Alex would react but I let her go as she pulled away. I glanced at Kara, who was watching as well, smirk. Alex had clocked the guy right in the face. I smiled a little, seeing as Alex was still her normal ass-kicking self. Kara pulled me aside to talk and we got to know each other a little better.

I could see Alex fading, and I knew that no one else noticed it, except maybe Kara. Alex was gripping my hand tighter as the conversation went on.

"We should probably get going." I said.

Alex nodded and said goodbye to everyone except Kara, who followed us out.

"You can come home with us if you want," I said, knowing that she had been through just as much as I had in the past twenty-four hours, probably more considering that Kara's rock is Alex.

"I think…" Kara started, "I mean...I don't know."

"How are you feeling?" Alex asked.

It seemed to calm Kara down a little, "I think I'm alright, I don't feel too bad actually."

Alex smiled, "Alright, well if that changes you can always call or come over."

Kara laughed a little, "You're the one who spent the day kidnapped. I should be checking in on you. I don't care what time of day you call, just call if you need it."

"I'll be fine," Alex said confidently.

Apparently to Kara, Alex was an open book. Kara just smiled softly at Alex.

"And I've got her." I said, "And if she needs you, I promise I'll call you right away."

Kara nodded and hugged both of us before taking off.

"Can we go home now?" Alex asked softly.

"Of course." I said, kissing her forehead gently and noticed that it felt a little warmer than normal.

When we got to Alex's apartment, she lived on the twelfth floor, meaning that we had to take the elevator up. I was holding her hand as we got on, though Alex had froze before stepping inside.

"Honey?" I said, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Alex said, shaking her head, "Let's go."

I pressed the button and the elevator closed. The second we started moving however, Alex dropped my hand and backed herself into the corner. I pushed the button of the next floor we were approaching, knowing that I had to get Alex out of the elevator as soon as possible. Once the elevator door opened, I grabbed Alex's hand and dragged her out of the elevator, holding her close right outside the elevator.

Alex began calming down slightly, but I could tell it wasn't enough.

"Kara." she whispered.

And at that I whipped out my phone and called Kara.

"What's up?" Kara asked.

"Kar…" Alex whispered.

And like five seconds later, Kara was standing there right in front of us. I watched as Alex scrambled to Kara, who pulled her into a hug.

"We were fine up until the elevator. It was too much for her right now, but so are the stairs." I said.

Kara just nodded and picked Alex up, who held absolutely no resistance to the motion.

"Let me go upstairs and open the window for you." I said.

Kara nodded, "Alright, we'll meet you up there."

With that, I hopped back into the elevator and headed upstairs. To be honest, I wasn't sure how I was really feeling myself. I got out of my head and headed to the apartment. I opened the door and headed to the window, I smiled as I saw Kara outside the window, holding Alex close.

I opened the window letting the sisters in.

"Thanks," Kara said as she flew in and went to set her sister down.

Alex had clung to Kara more. "Please, stay. Don't leave."

Kara just nodded and whispered, "Alright. I won't. I got ya. Since you didn't let yourself be checked out at the DEO, will you let me check on you?"

Alex nodded. I knew that Kara would help Alex and so I decided to step out and make tea.

*Alex's POV*

I felt safe in Kara's arms, like nothing could hurt me. I also knew that my disappearance had taken its toll on her and I allowed myself to be checked over by her. It helped me relax, knowing that Kara knew what she was doing after all she is a Kryptonian with tech humans can only dream of, and it also helped her knowing that I'm still here and alive.

Her face and Maggie's were the first faces I saw when I woke up. I could see it in Kara's eyes that she was relived that I was alive, that I was breathing and that she could hear my heartbeat. During my conversation with J'onn, he told me that he actually had to sedate Kara from doing any damage to anyone. My sweet little sister Kara, had to be sedated because she was beside herself trying to look for me.

I placed a hand on her face and touched foreheads. We sat in silence for a few seconds, just enjoying the presence of each other. Kara took a breath and then she began doing her thing.

Ever since she had come into my life, we've been stuck together like glue. She was annoying at first, but after I realized that she was always there, regardless of what it was, she was there in the crowd smiling proudly as if to say 'That's my sister'. As we got older, we grew closer together. My lungs were irritated and I had to cough. A second later, I felt Kara touch my forehead.

"Lexie, that cough doesn't sound good. You've got a fever. And from what I see, you have double pneumonia." Kara said.

I nodded and curled into her. I was cold and she was a living furnace. She held onto me.

"Lexie, do you still have some here?" she asked.

I knew what she was asking about and I nodded. She was out and back in what felt like seconds. The next I felt a sting in my arm and knew that it was her serum. See, Kara had created a serum that would heal nearly anything. We didn't use it much, or often, it was only in cases of emergencies and if we absolutely had to. The best thing is that Kara made smaller dose where it would heal the worst of it but then the rest is up to the human body.

I felt better. I also felt Kara press something against my lips.

"It's tea okay?" she said.

I took sips, knowing that the serum worked better when I had fluids in me, it was my favorite.

"Maggie made the tea." Kara said.

I nodded before falling asleep in my sister's arms.

*Maggie's POV*

The tea had finished and I found Alex curled into Kara with Kara's arms around her. I saw her grab something and then sticking Alex with it.

"Kara what are you doing?" I asked, worried.

"Its alright Maggie. It's nothing serious. It's a serum I created that would heal the worst of an injury, then the rest is up to her. She had a case of double pneumonia." Kara said.

Alex was out of it so I handed Kara a cup of Alex's favorite tea. I watched as Kara placed it gently on Alex's lip and she actually started sipping from it. Then she fell asleep, tucked into Kara's side. Kara had a fond smile as she held her sister.

"Kara, has this happened before?" I asked.

Kara looked at me and nodded, "Yeah. She took care of me so I do the same with her."

I watched as a distant look came into Kara's eyes, one that isn't normally on her bright, happy go-lucky face. I realized that Kara had seen things not many people have. There's no way someone could come out of what she had and still smile, still love with every fiber of her being. It was then I realized that as open as Kara is with everyone, she never shared anything about her homeworld. Not even when we were alone and it was amongst those who knew her secret.

Kara continued to run her fingers through Alex's hair and she began talking, "I didn't come to Earth to be a hero. I came with the mission to protect my cousin. A mission that failed right from the start. His pod took off before mine and I was a few seconds behind. He made it safely. I...I was far enough away but I could still see it. I could still see as my planet collapsed on itself and exploded. The blast knocked my ship off course and into the Phantom Zone where time doesn't pass. I was stuck there for twenty four years, in a half-awake state. I would wake up and then go back to sleep. When I got to Earth, things had changed. My cousin had grown up and you know him as Superman. He took me to the Danvers as they had helped him with his powers, they could help with mine. Then he left. It was one of the worst days of my life, but it was also one of the best. I got to meet Alex." here, her face that had been scrunched in pain softened in fondness as she talked about her sister, "Alex, who didn't want me at first, but after a few days that changed. We were a pair of nerds of the highest order and we experimented. It was the first time I had blown my powers and gotten sick. Alex held me just like I am now. She told me that she would always be there to protect me. I knew that it wasn't physical protection. Both of us knew well enough how to defend ourselves if need be. It wasn't a physical protection, it was a mental and emotional protection."

I nodded, not knowing what to say to that. Kara had felt comfortable enough to tell me this, though I think a factor might be that Alex was laying in her lap, curled into the cutest curl ever with her face buried in Kara's chest, probably to hear the heartbeat.

Thinking of my past, I decided to open up just a little. I told Kara about where I grew up, my family, why I'm a vegetarian. Kara looked at me with understanding in her blue eyes.

"Where's your family now?" she asked softly.

I shook my head and shrugged, "I don't know. Why should I care about the two people in my life that kicked me out for being who I am?" I shot back defensively before slapping my hand over my mouth.

I didn't know I was crying until I felt something touch my face. I opened my eyes, when did I close them?, and saw Kara. I felt her rub her thumb over my cheek.

"Oh Maggie." Kara whispered, "We love you."

She pulled me into a hug and finally. Finally let myself let go of my pain. I knew Kara wouldn't judge so I clung tighter to her. Kara held both of us in her arms. It was different than being in Alex's arms. Kara's was sturdy and there. And with the sisters surrounding me, I fell asleep feeling lighter than I have ever felt in a long time. I get why Alex talks so highly of Kara, she's always had this sense of pride for her little sister, beaming whenever she could when Kara was mentioned. It's because Kara and Alex share the load and it's lighter for the both of them and whoever gets caught in their orbit.

AN: And that's a wrap y'all. It turned out to be a Danvers sister/Maggie too type of story. I felt as if Maggie's backstory was kinda rushed and didn't really focus on what Maggie went through to get to where she is and why she is the way she is. I felt that ever loving Kara could wrap her into her family and bring out a Maggie that most people haven't seen in a very long time. Same with Alex.

On a side note, the Grants, Cat and Carter. I have an idea, it's written up but I gotta tweak it a little but it's basically a Kara that can kick some professional lawyer tails. Since Kara is the daughter of Krypton's equivalent of a judge, I figure that Kara knew the laws pretty dang well and while on Earth, studied up on the laws, just didn't go to law school as her passion was journalism. It would be a Cat/Kara theme too. What do you think?
