*Alex's POV*

Kara came up behind me. I didn't have to even turn around to know it was her.

"Can we talk?" she asked.

I didn't look at her, I didn't want to.

"I don't have anything to say to you." I replied.

Kara sighed, "Alex. I'm just as hurt and scared as you are. I share the same feelings, but I also see clearly now. Jeremiah was with Cadmus a long time. Y-We've never faced an enemy more dangerous. We owe it to ourselves to look at every angle, even if it makes us uncomfortable."

I couldn't look at her. She sounded just like him.

"You sound just like him." I said blankly.

"Like who?" she asked.

"Mon-El!" I barked at her.

Kara didn't say anything for a minute.

"Look, I realize that you're in your honeymoon phase, but really Kara, I mean you don't have to take every stance he takes." I said.

Kara's tone shifts slightly. If I wasn't so mad at her then I would have commented on it.

"I'm not and this isn't even about that asshole. This is about the truth and the truth is that Jeremiah breaking into the DEO computer system is weird." she replied.

"He missed out on over a decade as our father. I don't blame him for wanting to catch up, however he could." I shot back.

"Then why not just ask? We're right here. He spent an hour with J'onn today, why does he have to wait until he's alone to access the system?" Kara pointed out.

I knew that was weird, but this was dad. My dad, "Kara you really don't trust him do you?"

Kara had a deadly tone to her voice that was questionable, "No. I don't trust CADMUS. And I'll do what I have to do to protect us."

I was done, I shook my head and walked off. I looked over my shoulder, "Well then I guess you've chosen your side."

"This isn't about sides!" Kara shot back.

At this point it was annoying, "No, it is," I said calmly, "because either you're a part of this family or not."

Kara's eyes glazed over, "You don't mean that."

"He's my father." I said.

"He's mine too." Kara said softly.

"Then act like it!" I yelled at her and walked away.

I didn't see the change in Kara. I didn't see the way her body stiffened as something happened. I didn't see her left eye slit like a dragon's. I didn't see the subtle way Kara's body straightened as she was in charge of something.

Later that day I found out that Jeremiah had stolen the alien registry and hasn't been seen. I was arguing with J'onn about not being on the mission.

"Alex, your head isn't in the right place for this." J'onn said, "That's why I'm taking you off."

I started protesting but J'onn raised his voice.

"Agent Danvers, you are benched until I say otherwise. That is an order and it is final." he said and walked off.

Of course I didn't listen. I should have. That night I left and nearly got sent to space. Kara had sped to the front of the ship. I watched helplessly as my little sister slowed the ship down. I watched as Kara had pushed and pushed. I could see the fear in Kara's eyes. Kara's face had fallen, her doubt and heartbreak showing for a split second. And during that second, I saw the lost thirteen year old girl that had come to my home years ago. The thirteen year old girl who lost everything.

I put my hand on the glass and Kara met it. As the ten seconds turned to five, I thought of all the people in my life. How I would never get to prove to my mom that I could in fact bake a better chocolate pecan pie than her. How I would never get to make up for lost time with my dad, take him to our favorite restaurants and new movies. How I would never get to set up an online dating account for J'onn like he had threatened to do to me when I was single and stayed at work too long. How I would never get to take Maggie to the roof for our three month anniversary. And how I would never get to apologize to Kara, tell her that I hadn't meant what I said when I told her that she wasn't a part of the family.

In the last five seconds, I realized what exactly my words meant to Kara, realized why Kara had been keeping her distance for the past few days. I realized that I had done something I swore I would never do. I made Kara think that I, who had promised to never abandon her, had left her alone and had lied to her every time I said 'I love you. I realized that this was about to be very, very real.

Then it wasn't. The ship had stopped moving and the timer had stopped at two seconds. Kara had stopped pushing and then everything stopped. After that it was just a blur. Kara taking us back to the ground, the ride back to the DEO. I vaguely remember being taken back in an ambulance instead of a standard DEO car, J'onns orders. I remember Kara sitting next to me, holding my hand as lights were shined in my eyes.

I knew I was in for a lecture. Oddly enough, I didn't see Kara that often anymore. She seemed to always be busy, only coming in as Supergirl if she had to. It was a few weeks after the whole thing with my dad's betrayal that Mon-El had returned to his people. I had clung to Maggie over these few weeks cause she was a constant in my life at the moment. Maggie and I were hanging out at the bar when I saw a familiar lock of hair. I looked to see Kara sitting at the bar, staring off into space as she nursed a glass of something. It was definitely alien but she wasn't drunk.

"Hey Little Danvers." Maggie called out as she spotted Kara as well.

Kara smiled, but I could tell it was a fake smile because it didn't reach her ears as it does when she's happy to see us.

"Hi Maggie." Kara said.

"Care to join us in a game of pool? I've played against Alex, but lately I kinda want to see how well you do." Maggie asked.

Kara shrugged nonchalantly with a soft smile. A real one.

"Sure. Winner plays Alex. Whoever loses pays." Kara said in a joking way.

"Ooo...you're on Little D." Maggie said.

So that's how Maggie ended up setting up the game. Kara went first and knocked six balls, one in each pocket. Luckily enough, the 8 ball was still on the table. Maggie went next and went for the solids and Kara went for the stripes. Kara was good. She beat Maggie no problem.

"Damn, you're good. Have you played before?" Maggie asked.

Kara shrugged, "A few times."

The door to the bar opened. Kara looked up and stiffened at the man who was standing just inside the doorway. The man came in and sat at one of the booths.

"You okay?" I asked her.

Kara nodded before heading towards the bathroom. She came back a few minutes later dressed differently. Her hair was braided in a way that looked really good on her. She had on a black suit with royal blue lines. Her shoes were combat boots and her eyes were blank. The man who had recently entered stood up straight, almost like he was at attention.

"General, they started to move. Our intel managed to find the headquarters." The man said to Kara.

Kara stiffened, "Do not talk about this here. At the very least reply in tongue." she said.

Her tone was cold, held power, and most of all, calm. The man saluted and reported something. Kara's eyes flickered with her heat vision when the man was done.

"Are you sure?' Kara said in what I would assume Kryptonian.

The man nodded. Kara cursed before saying something to the man. The man nodded and raised a hand to his ear and said something. Then he fell into step a few inches behind Kara but it was enough to make it seem that he wasn't her level. Another man who I didn't see before come in fell into step with the other man. They made their way out and when I managed to catch up to them, they were gone.

I headed back into the bar and to the pool table. Maggie looked a little confused.

"What just happened?" she asked.

"I have no idea. I'm going to try and track her though." I said.

So we drove to the DEO and started trying to track Kara. But all we got was silence, not even her phone. I waited two days before trying again and this time I managed to get a lock on her. She was in her apartment.

"Alex." J'onn said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yes?" I asked.

"You might want to see this." J'onn said in a tone that meant it was really important.

I followed him and on the main screen it showed that an abandoned warehouse about two hours out of the city in the middle of nowhere was blown up.

"What the? Why is this a problem?" I asked, not really seeing the reason why this was so worring.

"Alex, it was a Cadmus warehouse. Filled to the brim with all sorts of alien tech. All of it was blown to smithereens." J'onn said.

"How? How do you know it was a Cadmus warehouse?" I asked.

"Someone was dumb enough to put a picture online. I was planning on how to take it down and was going to pitch it today when I found out that someone else had beaten us to it." J'onn replied.

Just then Kara flew in. She was in her Supergirl suit.

"Sorry I'm late. I had something to finish up at CatCo." she said. "What's up?"

J'onn huffed in annoyance, "Someone blew up a Cadmus warehouse. I want to know who."

A look passed over Kara's face before it vanished. Winn came up.

"You're in luck J'onn. Someone managed to capture a photo just before the thing blew." Winn said as he showed the photo.

It was a photo of about five people in black suits with gold lining. The one in the middle had a blue stripe on the upper arm.

"Who took it?" J'onn asked.

"It was anonymous." Winn said. "And it looks like it happened at other sites too. Just not as big as this."

"Other sites? Pull them up." J'onn ordered.

A map with red dots appeared. There was something nagging at me as I looked at it. Kara was scanning too as I saw her eyes shifting. Then realization dawned on her.

"Shit." she muttered softly.

I knew J'onn heard her as he whipped his head towards her. Kara decidedly ignored him as she took the pad from Winn and did something. Lines were drawn between each of the sites before triangulating to one specific place, the Nevada Desert. In the same place Fort Rozz was. Kara's eyes then flickered dangerously, then something weird happened, they were slitted like a dragon's. She cursed violently in Kryptonian.

Just then a call came in and Kara answered it. It was the man from before.

"General, I'm sorry this was the only way to reach you. We found the site. Beta found the target you were looking for as well." the man said.

Kara nodded, "Good. Send it to me. Meet me there with Alpha squad. Have Beta go to the other target. She'll know what to do."

"Yes General." the man said.

"WAIT!" J'onn growled, "Who are you and how do you know Supergirl?"

"My name is Lieutenant Jackson Storm." the man said.

Then the call cut out. Kara then flew away. I had a feeling that this was big.

"Suit up. We're heading for the desert." I commanded.

My squad all jumped into action and we were at the site in two hours. Just as ten people landed. Little did I know that Cadmus was here. It would seem that the ten people noticed us. The one in the lead barked out an order and suddenly everything changed. Soon I realized that we were raiding Cadmus' headquarters.

*J'onn's POV*

"J'onn, we need backup. I realized that we stumbled across Cadmus' HQ." Alex's voice came over the comms.

Soon, two more teams were on their way to the location. I went with and put Susan Vasquez in charge. I flew in and what I saw was shocking. I instantly recognized my men but not the ones with gold outlines though at closer inspection, some were silver. Alex wa in the heat of it all with one of the people in the blue striped suit. I fought my way towards her. Then all of a sudden it was gone. My people were confused as well but the ones in the outlined suits were happy. But not for long. The one with the blue stripe on the arm barked out a worried and scared order and all of my people were out of the building before a soft thud was heard and the building was in rubble.

The people who carried us out were the ones in the linings. Just then one of them realized something.

"Where is the General?" they asked.

The people's reaction was immediate and they were all searching the rubble. Soon they found the one they were looking for. The one in the gold lining stepped forward and took off the mask. I realized it was the man who contacted the DEO earlier. So that means.

"We need a med evac now!" I commanded.

Then everything was a blur. I saw Alex's confusion.

"Why do we need a medical evac for that person?" she asks.

"Because that's Kara." I said.

Then it hit Alex like a ton of bricks. She too started barking orders. We got back to the DEO with the Lieutenant hot on our heels as was four others.

*Alex's POV*

Holy shit. Kara was there. No wonder the person who was protecting me wasn't leaving. It was Kara. We managed to get her to the Operation room. Hamilton took it from there. Once Kara was out of the ER and on a sun bed, I was allowed to see her. I sat next to her unconscious form and took her hand. I looked at her.

Kara was more defined than when I last got a decent look at her. It was obvious she was working out. Then all of a sudden Kara started seizing. The man from before ran into the room and injected Kara with something that made her stop. In fact it healed her completely.

"What did you do?" I asked him.

"She made the serum herself for an occasion like this. It heals us completely and she said to use it in only dire measures." the man said.

"What are you and how do you know her?" I asked.

"They are Kryptonians. They are my soldiers who found me. They are my most loyal followers." a new voice said.

I turned to see Kara sitting up. I went to hug her but she stiffened and looked at the male.

"Lieutenant Storm. Well done. Any news from Beta?" Kara asked.

"Yes. She found the target and managed to find out what was wrong. They had implanted a mind control device in his head and made him believe things that wasn't what he believed in. Fortunately she was able to reverse it's affects on him. He remembers everything and is remorseful. We have him in custody and he wants to see you." the man, Lieutenant Storm replied.

"Anything else?" Kara asked.

"Yes. Beta changed his limb." he said.

"The limb held certain tech; did she reprogram it or replace it and destroy it?" Kara asked.

"Replaced. She deconstructed it and found the type of metal it was made of." the man said.

"What metal?" Kara asked.

"The same type that makes up a Kryptonian pod." he said.

Kara's eyes widened, "This just got interesting. Lieutenant, have all teams on standby. Ready to come to my position at a moments notice. I must inform the DEO of us. Any moles?"

"Two and they have been terminated. Not by our hands but by their employer's." the man said.

"Perfect. Now have all teams on standby. Go." Kara said.

The man bowed slightly and left. Kara came over to me and hugged me.

"I know you're very confused right now but I'm going to tell you everything in a few minutes." she said.

I nodded and followed her. I watched her as she headed for a different room, with a bunch of monitors. Surprisingly, I saw Winn and Susan in here.

"Kara, there's been sightings and I've marked them all in red dots. Winn's been helping me with trying to find a pattern or something that linked all these together." Susan said.

"Perfect Susan. Thank you Winn. You can go now. I've got it handled." Kara said.

I looked at the information, and spotted something about it.

"Hey Kar, is this what you're looking for?" I asked as I pointed to the info I found. The info that stated where each place was.

Kara came over and then found similar markings with the other locations. She growled low and deep.

"Those bastards don't know what they're getting into." Kara said.

I was startled by her cursing.

"Jax, I need you and Storm at my location now and have the Special Squad be on standby. We need to stop them once and for all." Kara said.

In seconds, the two men from before entered the room, clad in black and white one piece suits. Kara had reverted to a language that I didn't know. The two men just nodded. Kara moved as if to leave.

"Kara." I said, drawing her attention.

"What Alex?" she asked.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"I'll explain later." she said.

I was tired of not knowing what my little sister was doing, "No, tell me."

Kara huffed, "Alex, I will tell you later."

"No Kara." I said angrily, "Tell me what is going on with you."

Kara turned to me fully. Her left eye was slitted like a dragon's. It was still a blue color, but it was a darker blue.

"You really want to know Alex?" Kara growled, "I'm taking out a major thorn in mine and everyone else's sides. I know where they are."

With that she left with the two men following. I was still shocked that Kara had growled at me. She never did that. I decided to wait for her at her apartment. It was hours later that she came into the loft, looking satisfied.

"Hey Alex." Kara sighed.

"Hi. Wanna tell me what that was all about?" I asked.

Kara looked away, "Not really."

I looked at her and she was standing in a defensive posture. She really didn't want to talk. So I changed the topic to Jeremiah. I managed to work up the courage to apologize.

"Kara?" I said.

"Hmm?" she hummed.

"I'm sorry for the way I acted with dad. I didn't mean it when I said you weren't apart of the family. My relationship with you is one I don't want to ruin." I said as I spilled what I was feeling to her. She was my baby sister and she didn't deserve the harsh words I said, nor did I deserve her.

Kara wrapped her arms around me, "Shh...it's okay Lexie. I know you didn't mean it. We all say and do things we wouldn't do when we are angry."

I clung to her as I let it out, "I don't deserve you."

"Yes you do." Kara said.

I looked up at her and found an understanding look in her eyes. I looked at her in disbelief. Kara just smiled. A month later, Kara came into my lab.

"Hey Alex. Mom's got a surprise for you. It's in Midvale." Kara said.

I raised an eyebrow and she flew us over to Midvale. I saw mom on the porch and then a familiar figure stepped out onto the porch, one that I knew was him from the gentle smile on his face; dad. The family was back together. As I was hugging my parents, I realized that Kara was standing off to the side with a sad smile on her face. I watched her head out the door.

I pulled out of the embrace and followed her. She was sitting in the alcove we found when we were little and staring off into the distance with tears in her eyes. She curled into herself and I could see her body shuddering with sobs. I watched her as she broke. I ran to her and pulled her into my lap. She looked at me.

"Shouldn't you be with your dad?" she asked.

I shook my head, "He's your dad too."

She had a small sad smile, "You were right though, he's not my father."

I didn't know that Kara was that affected by my words, though I should have. I apologized and we made up.

"Come on. Eliza should hear about how I got to Jeremiah in the first place." Kara said.

I nodded and we floated back to the house. We were all sitting down when Kara started.

"I...had put a tracker on him when he came by the first time. I had a bad feeling and whenever I get a gut feeling, I follow it. So with my team, I found and uncovered Cadmus' bases. We found Jeremiah and he was in our custody. All the destruction of certain buildings and places? That was us taking out Cadmus. You just so happened to be involved in the major one, the one that took out the HQ of Cadmus. We found out that Jeremiah was under some drug and that they were making him believe something that wasn't real. They somehow managed to create a serum from the Black Mercy and use it to make their subjects believe and act a certain way. Jeremiah was told that his family had been moved on and didn't need him anymore. They used it to manipulate him. We have a way of clearing his system. We replaced his arm with a prosthetic that works with him. We rehabilitated him and in about a month or so, and now here he is." Kara said gently.

Dad smiled at her, "And I can't be more proud of both of you."

I felt warm and fuzzy again. My dad was back for good and that's how it was. Though I forgot about the way Kara's left eye slitted, at least until I was captured. That story is for another day, just...not today.

AN: Well now isn't that interesting. Something that is apart of Kara that even Alex doesn't know about. I have an idea that Kara's dad obviously knew something was wrong with the planet, so he found a way to have a child survive, rigging the birthing matrix for Kara in a way that she obtained some attributes of a dragon. Of course, just the simplest attributes, keen smell, sight, knowledge, and a dragon eye. Kara knows about it as does her squads. However her dragon qualities only come out when someone she finds family threatened. Her innate sense of if someone is good or not is from her dragon side. Her dragon side knows who is who, like Lena.

The other ideas are coming along, just they will be a little since school be starting up again and I'll be in a sport but they'll come eventually. For all the Ink Master Kara fans, Pt. 4 is coming don't worry. I just have to figure out which challenge to use since I pick one of the episodes from either S1 or S2 and use one of the contestants tattoo picks as Kara's just tweak it so that it's obviously better.
