AN: This one is a little something I thought of. It just so happened that the prompt for a Maggie/Kara sibling bonding story popped into my head. Someone was wanting one where Maggie opened up to Kara about Alex and this came up.

And the Ink Master Kara fans, don't worry, I have a chapter in the works, just I have to rewatch the episodes and find time to do so. Anyway, enjoy the story ~ Immortalshark

*Maggie's POV*

I was a little put off when Kara had came up to me one day. She was her normal bouncy personality. We hung out a little since Alex was busy at the DEO and Kara had decided to spend the day with me. It was cool since I could talk to Kara about Alex.

"You hurt her and I'll throw you into the sun okay?" Kara said in her normal perky tone.

I wasn't worried about the threat and just smiled. I brought it up with Alex one day and she giggled. Out right giggled!

"Maggie, that's just her being protective of me." Alex said, and then her tone sobered, "I remember the first time we bonded as sisters. It was the day after she had arrived on Earth and she hid in the basement. I was the only one who could coax her out of her hiding spot. When I did, I found myself being a pillow for a Kryptonian. At first, I was annoyed that my shirt was getting ruined, but then something changed. I felt protective of her. I knew she could handle herself physically just fine, but she was shattered emotionally. It was the first time she opened up to someone about what she was feeling and that someone was me. And so from that day forward began our bond. She was and still is my rock. I love her and she's the best little sister you could ask for." she smiled fondly, "when I found out that she had a love interest, I decided to give the guy a shovel talk. I threatened him bodily and the next day he canceled on Kara. Kara was a little annoyed but was quick to realize that if a guy couldn't handle little human me, then they couldn't handle Kara's alieness and her baggage. So she did the exact same thing. She just did it with a cute smile and sunny personality and threatened them with throwing them to space if they ever hurt me."

I was touched that I got the Kara seal of approval for dating Alex. I wasn't worried too much about the threat as I had no intention of breaking up with Alex. Well, I wasn't worried until the day Alex was kidnapped. When Alex was kidnapped, I wanted to shoot the person who was responsible for hurting her. However, I was able to think of how to get Alex out, Kara was silent and in the time it took to find Alex, Kara was one step away from frying someone. I watched as Kara beat the snot out of Rick while I was doing CPR. It wasn't until Alex was awake and okay that Kara had came over and placed her head on Alex's chest. After that day, I took that threat very very seriously.

Which brings me back to now. I was at a restaurant waiting on Kara. I had called her to meet up and to ask her a question. She agreed and I picked the place. She came walking in dressed in a nice pair of slacks and a blue shirt.

"Maggie. What's up?" she said as she hugged me.

"Hi Kara." I said as I was fiddling with the box in my pocket.

"Wow, full name and everything." Kara said, "You must keep my sister in stitches. Speaking of which, where is she?"

I gestured to the seat and Kara took it. "She's at home cooking dinner for us and she made me promise to wait until she texted."

"You left my sister alone in the kitchen? Sawyer, you better have the fire department on speed dial." Kara said with a smirk in her voice.

"Well, to be fair she's grilling." I said.

"Oooh, now she's not too great in the kitchen but put her in front of the grill and she can grill just fine." Kara said. "Now what are we doing here and why was I needed?"

"I didn't demand you come," I said and Kara raised an eyebrow in a near perfect imitation of Alex, "Okay, maybe a little. I just wanted to talk to you without your sister getting paranoid."

"So you did call me to gossip about Alex. Tell me, what has she done?" Kara said with mirth in her tone.

"You sisters are a weird pair, you know that?" I said.

"I do, we should come with a warning. But you are massively in love with my sister, and we've become friends, so…" Kara said.

'Oh I know." I said.

Kara smiled, "Well, I will leave you to call for your chariot while I fly home. Next time, would be asking for Alex's hand."

I was shocked, "So I have it?"

Kara just stopped for a second before her eyes narrowed, "My blessing?" she asked.

I gulped and nodded, not knowing why this was so damned hard. I found myself barreled into by an excited Kryptonian.

"Oh Maggie. Of course." Kara said.

I pulled out the ring and showed it to her. She gasped.

"Maggie, it's beautiful." she said.

"It.." I cleared my throat, "It's my aunt's. She gave it to me so that I would give my beloved the ring."

Kara pulled me into a hug, "It's wonderful. With our line of work, the ring could become lost or damaged. So I want to take it and put a protective coat over it."

I smiled and handed it to her. I watched as she scanned it and then something happened. The second pass of the beam of light, the ring was coated in a clear layer of something.

"The protective coat is something I made. It could be squished by a million tons of dwarf star metal and still remain in shape." Kara said as she handed it back to me. "It was my job to protect her. Now, it's going to be yours. Don't get me wrong, I will always be her sister. You have the watch now and with it, you have my blessing."

I hugged her and thanked her. She also reminded me of her own shovel talk and made it a promise. One I hoped to all the deities I could think of wouldn't come true. She made it threatening this time with the full use of my name, my actual name. Margaret Rodas.

I was stunned that she knew, but at the same time not. She was smart as hell and I should have known she'd look me up. Then after I agreed with her, she smiled softly at me.

"Maggie. It's okay. You grew up in an environment that didn't allow you to explore what you wanted and when you did you got burned. Alex, Eliza, and I all see the beautiful, smart, badass woman in front of us. We see the dark past behind your eyes and we accept it, for without it, you wouldn't be you. Your personality is shaped on the experiences you've encountered. I believe that you went through all of that to meet Alex. You went through hardships and rough times to get where you are today. You made it to land. Thankful for everything that you do have that you once did not and still have." Kara said gently.

She put a hand to my face and I realized I was crying. She wrapped me in a hug.

"Shhh, it's okay. Welcome to the Family Maggie." she said.

I laughed and wiped my tears away, "Thank you Little Danvers." I said.

She smiled and I headed home. A few weeks later, both Alex and I had a quiet night to ourselves. Thanks to Kara pulling strings, she made it so that we were only called in if it was dire. So I planned to propose to Alex tonight.

"Alex." I started and she turned towards me, "You are the light of my world. The person who made me better and reminded me how to laugh."

She blushed a bit.

"I love you and I wanna spend the rest of my life with you." I said and I knelt on the ground, "So Alexandra Claire Danvers, will you marry me?"

Alex's eyes teared up as she pulled out a box as well. "Yes."

I kissed her and put the ring on her finger. She put the ring she got for me on my own finger. I looked at it and it was a beautifully simple gold band. On the inside was our names with a heart in the middle. It was the best night of our lives and Alex called Kara over to celebrate. Kara came and just smiled. Alex then smacked Kara in the arm.

"You little sneaky sister. You knew didn't you?" Alex said.

Kara just smiled, "Whatever you say Lexie."

I hugged Kara, "thank you."

Kara smiled and Alex joined in the hug.

"Both rings have the same protective coating. And with that coating, your rings now light up when the other is in danger. If one is in danger, the ring will begin to heat up. It's not a location device it's more of a warning device when necessary." Kara said.

Alex hugged her, We spent the night partying and enjoying ourselves. After that, I've found the ring very helpful. We went through a period where Alex and Kara were fighting, and it was horrible. It was about Alex's dad and I overheard it. I looked into the room at the last second and saw Kara's face. Alex had said something hurtful and Kara was the subject. Kara just looked away and flew off with a determined look on her face. And so I almost lost Alex to space if it wasn't for Kara. Kara had been a little distant for a couple of months afterwards. Quiet whenever Mon-El was brought up.

*Alex's POV*

It was two days before Maggie and I's wedding night and Kara had wanted me to see something. I followed her, trusting that whatever it was is safe. She brought me to the house and out back. There was a box labeled with my name on it.

"Go on. Open it. It's for you." Kara said.

I opened it and I gasped. Under it was my dad. I was suspicious of him because of last time.

"Alex," Kara said, "After we fought, I sought to find him. Once the ship was stopped, I used my resources to find him. I found him in a Cadmus lab. I took the lab out and found that he was chipped. So I took the chip out and remade his prosthetic arm. Now he's Cadmus free."

I hugged Kara tightly as I cried into her shoulder, "Thank you Kara."

Kara smiled at me, that sweet smile that I loved, "You deserved it."

I went over and hugged Dad. I was happy that he was here and mom came as well. We sat in the backyard just hugging. However, Kara was off to the side. I looked at her and saw the look in her blue eyes. She was smiling softly. I knew that look and I knew she was hurting, so I waved at her for her to join us. Her smile lifted just a little as she came and joined in the hug.

That night, it was just me and Kara. Maggie was in the spare room for the night as the service would happen on the beach. I found Kara curled up on the window sill gazing out at the stars.

"Hi." I said.

She turned and smiled at me. Still curled up in a ball. I walked over to her and wrapped her in the tightest hug I could manage.

"I love you so much. I'm so sorry for ever saying that you weren't family. You are the best sister I could have asked for. You kept me afloat through college. You are my sister and I love you." I said.

I felt Kara's tears as she started to cry. I knew that the look from earlier that she was remembering what it was like on Krypton. That she was remembering her own parents.

"I miss them. So much." Kara whispered.

"I know sweetie. I know. I'm so grateful that you gave me the chance again." I said as I rubbed her back.

She gave a pained smile and got up, "I'm gonna go for a walk."

I let her be as I knew she needed space. It was one in the morning when she returned. I wrapped around her, just how I did whenever she had nightmares, and she settled down. I loved my sister and Maggie.

*Maggie's POV*

I woke up to find Alex's side empty. I got up to find her and found her curled around Kara protectively. It was obvious that the reunion of Jeremiah and his family hit too close to home for Kara. I wasn't mad as I knew that Alex was Kara's safety net and the person she went to when she was scared or upset. I knew that their bond as sisters was deep, it was why I called Kara, Mini Danvers. She acted so much like Alex at times that it was funny.

Today was our big day and it came and went so fast. Our vows were simple and we were wed by J'onn. It was time for the speeches and Eliza was first followed by Jeremiah. Kara's speech was last and the longest. It was sweet and one that had Alex and I in tears. Since Alex was an honorary member of the House of El, Kara extended the mention to me as I was her wife. I wasn't sure how big a deal that was until Alex gasped and tackled Kara in a hug. Then she came back to me and whispered what it meant before I too decided to tackle hug Kara. She gave me a small simple analog watch. She smiled and opened the face to reveal the House of El coat of arms. She gave one to Alex as well.

We lived happily together after that. Alex and I decided to have kids. It took Kara beating some sense into me in order to get me to agree on having kids but we did have kids. Twins, a boy and a girl. We named the girl Kim Rose Danvers-Sawyer, and the boy Valerian Roman Danvers-Sawyer. Kara followed suit by marrying Lena Luthor. Lena had come into the group thanks to Kara and Lena really was the white sheep of her family. In fact, she was the reason why Alex and I had Kim and Valerian. Kara and Lena had made it so that Alex and I's genes mixed, which meant that Kim and Valerian were ours by blood. It also helped Kara and Lena out as they had two little girls. Alex was brought to tears when Kara had mentioned the name of their first child, Alexandra Catherine Luthor-Danvers.

It was an honor for Alex as she had someone named after her and so was Cat Grant, who was named the baby's godmother. Then the second baby girl came and they named her Lianna Margaret Luthor-Danvers. I was shocked that they named the baby after me.

"You earned it Maggie. You deserve to be recognized as the best sister-in-law ever." Kara said.

I smiled and basked in the glow. I knew that the Danvers had healed my scars and had welcomed me into their family. Who would have thought that it all started at a shared crime scene fighting over evidence? I sure as hell didn't.

AN: And that's a wrap. What do you all think? I enjoyed writing this one and exploring the Sanvers ship.
