The battle was rough. People were running and there were gunshots. DEO and police alike along with firefighters were trying to stop the two other world killers. However, one person was fighting more than the rest. Supergirl was the one person who could stop the other Kryptonians. The only one with the power to do so. They had found a way to win, the Harun-El, however that was a backup as Kara had managed to split Reign from Sam. Kara had taken a two month vacation with the Amazons in Themyscira, learning and relaxing after basically killing off many Daxamites.

Now Kara has more techniques and knowledge at her disposal. However, her grounding, the thing that keeps her sane most days, is the heartbeats of those she loves. Specifically Alex. Her sister. The sister that she became a superhero for just because she didn't want to live without her. The battle was difficult with Kara not wanting to truly kill the World Killers as she knows that there are people who really don't know why things are happening the way they are.

That changed when she heard a distinct change in Alex's heartbeat and a very, very familiar scream. Alex had gotten caught by one, Pestilence. Kara heard the crunch of Alex's bones, thankfully not her ribs, yet. Everything seemed to slow down for Kara when she saw Alex. It took everything in Kara not to completely trash the entire area just to get to her sister.

Though as soon as Alex was down, Kara fought with every single fiber of her being. She annihilated Purity by punching her in the chest at the right moment. Disorienting the woman and managing to calmly remove Purity's conscious from Julia and placing the consciousness into an N-th metal container. She remained calm enough to do so to the other World Killers but once the World Killers were gone and taken care of despite her own injuries and exhaustion, she fought to get to Alex.

She made it to Alex just as her heartbeat was slowing and about to hit the floor.

*Alex's POV*

I felt the poison coursing through me right now and it hurt like a bitch. I could feel the atmosphere change as my bones broke and fractured from Pestilence. Even though Pestilence didn't seem that strong, she was still a Kryptonian so she had that side effect. I could sense the change in Kara as I caught her eye.

As my vision was beginning to spot, I could see Kara have absolutely no care in what she was doing. She was going after the World Killers with such a deadly precision that I knew she changed. I knew from the calm and precise movements that Kara was forcing herself to do so, drawing on reserves that I knew were there from experience.

I felt her catch me.

"Come on Alex. Open your eyes." I heard her.

I tried but I couldn't. I felt myself being lifted onto a gurney and carried away. All I remember next was just black. Nothing. I could hear things going on. When my hearing came back, I could hear the doctors talking.

"She's stable again but she's in a coma. She can still hear you though." they said.

Again? What do they mean? I wish I could move so that I could ask. I could feel someone link their hand in mine.

"Well give you a moment." I heard the doctors say.

"Hey, Al. Looks like you got pretty beat up huh?" it was Maggie. "I should have been faster. I should have seen it. If it wasn't for Kara's quick thinking, you wouldn't be here. Kara's waiting Al. Please, wake up."

I saw a light in the black and reached for it. It was getting smaller for a couple seconds but then it got bigger. My hearing came back and recognized who was holding my hand.

"Alex. It's me." I heard Maggie's voice, "Please wake up. I miss you. I miss your smiles. Kara needs you. You're so strong. So please, if you can hear me, move your finger."

I tried and tried but nothing happened. Everything went black again but this time it was a vision. It was just me in a field.

"Alex." I heard.

I turned to see my dad standing there.

"Dad?" I asked.

"Honey, you have to wake up. People need you. Now WAKE UP!" he said.

I jolted awake to see machines everywhere. Then realized that I was in pain before yelling.

*Maggie's POV*

It had been a month since the whole thing with the World Killers and Alex was still in a coma. I sat by her side whenever I could. Things had changed, some for the better like buildings had new structures thanks to Lena, and some for the worse. I couldn't sleep at night unless I had one of Alex's shirts on and was on her side of the bed. And when I did I usually woke up two to three hours later.

I knew I couldn't have done anything to stop what happened to Alex. So I was mad at myself for about a week before letting it go and focusing on more pressing matters. Finding new homes for people while their old homes were being rebuilt. J'onn and Lucy, who had come back just in time, were organizing the DEO as it was somewhat damaged. However, that wasn't my main concern. My main concern was Kara. Kara was the one to rush Alex to the medical wing. She was also the one who recognized what the poison was that was used on Alex. Once Alex was stable enough, Kara stepped back to let Dr. Hamilton handle the rest. Kara had to go out and help as Supergirl.

I would never forget the reaction Kara had when Alex flatlined. Both Kara and I were in the DEO when it happened. We were in the main room when doctors swarmed Alex's room. I knew it had something to do with Alex. Kara just shut down. Her eyes were distant as she stared at the room. Almost as if she was in a trance. Something happened and Kara was up and screaming.

It took J'onn in his Martian form to hold her. The look on Kara's face was heartbreaking. It was as if her entire world disappeared. She clawed and fought J'onn, trying to get to Alex.

"No! I have...I have to…" Kara was stuttering and her powers were not under control.

J'onn had to sedate her so that she would stop. Thankfully, two hours later, Alex was stable again. Kara and I were in the room when the second one happened. Alex flatlined. I started on CPR and Kara just held Alex. I managed to restart Alex's heart and she was stable. Once it started though, Kara's face was shadowed by her hair. I reached out to reassure her but she flinched away. She stood up.

"No. I'm not doing this again." she muttered and left right as Eliza was coming inside.

Eliza had grabbed Kara and pulled her into a hug.

*Eliza's POV*

J'onn had brought me into the DEO, telling me about Alex's injuries and everything. I went right for her room. Kara looked like she was about to leave but I grabbed her and pulled her into a hug. She didn't return it, in fact she was tense. I pulled back and saw her eyes. Saw the same pain that was there when she first came into the family.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry that I wasn't fast enough to stop it." she whispered as tears welled in her eyes.

I grabbed her knowing that she wouldn't pull away.

"It's okay sweetie. You did your best. I saw it happen." I told her as the fight had indeed been on TV.

She shook and still refused to touch me. She wasn't pulling away but did not land a hand on me.

"No. No...I...I had to." Kara muttered. "I had been focused on the other one."

It was obvious her mind was elsewhere. I shook her to gain her attention. Her blue eyes were sad and dull.

"I'm sorry." she said and pushed away.

She was gone before I could say anything else. I focused on Alex now and my baby girl was all hooked up to machines. I knew they were keeping her alive. Maggie was here and we just sat with Alex.

Nowadays, I'm still in National City because I had to be here for my girls. I visited Alex in the evening, after helping the DEO labs get back up and running. Maggie was out and about helping the city get back on its feet. Kara...Kara had changed the most. She tensed whenever I hugged her, never hugged back. I could see it in her face that she wasn't sleeping well. I often found her punching and kicking and annihilating whatever was in the training room. She was going hard and fast in the training room. Pushing her limits too much.

Surprisingly, it was Lena who managed to be the one Kara turned to. I had my reservations about her but if Kara felt safe enough to the point of hugging her back, then I'll give her a chance.

I was in Alex's lab going over some of the projects she's done over the years when Dr. Hamilton came in with a smile on her face.

"She's awake." she said.

I ran to see Alex sitting up and awake. Maggie was in the room already and had the biggest smile on her face.

*Alex's POV*

After Hamilton took care of me, everything hurt much less. Maggie was the first one in the room and she came in with the biggest smile. We kissed and she told me that I had been in a coma for the past month. Then Mom came in and I hugged her. The three of us were talking and I was wondering where Kara is. I heard footsteps and I knew it was her.

My sister appeared in the door with a handful of my favorite flowers. Her eyes were down as she walked over. It was odd as I knew she would have heard me.

"Hi sis." I said.

She jerked up and her eyes widened in shock. The flowers would have dropped if Maggie didn't catch them. She flinched when Maggie's hand came into contact with hers.

"Kara." I said again, concerned with how she was acting.

She was staring right at me as if seeing a ghost. I called her name again and it seemed to work but it made it worse. I recognized the way she was breathing hard, her eyes were unfocused. I began talking and trying to calm her down. I knew she was having a panic attack. I managed to get to her and wrap her in a hug and she finally broke. I felt her shaking as she cried.

"Lexie." she whimpered.

In that moment I wished I had Kara's strength. I hugged her as tight as I could in the moment. It seemed to do the trick as she placed her ear right over my heart. We managed to get on the bed and she fell asleep. I knew that she wasn't letting go any time soon if the way her head was still on my chest. I looked at Maggie who had a fond smile on her face.

"She's finally sleeping." Maggie said.

"Finally? What do you mean?" I asked as I kept stroking Kara's hair to keep her calm.

Maggie sighed, "Well, after you went down. Kara annihilated the entire battle. She took down the Killers and made her way to you. If it wasn't for her recognizing the poison in your body and purging it with her clean blood, you wouldn't even be here now. You flatlined twice. The first time, Kara flipped her lid and even needed to be sedated. The second time wasn't as bad, she had helped me revive you but had left after that. Her fights were a lot shorter. She hadn't let anyone take care of her. Even your mom couldn't get through enough for her to hug back. Lena was the one to get her to finally take a break."

"Lena?" I asked.

Maggie nodded, "Lena was the only one who managed to get Kara to relax just enough for her to sleep. I went looking for Kara one day and found her sleeping in Lena's office curled up in Lena's lap."

I looked down at my sister who was curled up in my own lap. I knew that Kara was going to struggle with letting me out of her sight so I wasn't surprised that when I was released, Kara followed me absolutely everywhere. I let her help me shower as I knew it reassured her that I was still here. At the moment, I was at her apartment so that she could keep a better eye on me. I didn't mind as her bed was hella comfy.

I knew her nightmares kept her up as I felt her gaze on me. Eventually she relaxed once I recovered fully and was medically cleared by Hamilton to return to work. She let off on basically babying me but I stayed with her at night. She still couldn't sleep without having me in physical contact with her. She's done it before, back when we were kids. She told me of her own siblings and that she used to do the same thing with them. Soon Kara was back to her sunny self and was basically bounding around in joy that I was completely okay. Maggie had been a huge part in helping as well since Kara trusted Maggie to look out for me.

It was a big step for Kara as it meant that she had accepted that Maggie was there to help as well. I also had to give Lena my infamous big sister speech. It wasn't as big as it normally is considering that Lena has seen Kara's darker side and is still here. Lena obviously wasn't put off by Kara's darker personality and actually liked Kara more. Kara still clung to me every now and again. I let her as I knew she was recentering herself. Mom had finally headed back to Midvale and that was that.

Every second I'm so grateful for Kara and that she came into my life when she did. She is the best little sister one could have. And we definitely should come with a warning.

AN: Hey guys. So sorry for the late updates. I have been spending time studying for finals, which are on May 12-14. Updates will be slower as finals draw closer and graduation does to.

Anyway, what did you think? This one was more of a Danvers Sister One Shot than showing off a talent of Kara's. I feel that the show kind of lessened that relationship over time and I needed a bit more of their sibling bond.

Those of you Ink Master Kara fans, don't worry I haven't forgotten about that mini series. I finally have the layout on which topics I want and which part they'll take place in. For those who wanted the Star Wars theme, what do you think of making it more of a mythology theme, ie Greek, Roman, Egyptian, etc.? I'm not a big Star Wars fan so I feel like I wouldn't do that episode justice.
