Chapter 2:- The Crisis

AT The Shrine

My lord, the meal is prepared. Will you honour us with your presence at the table?"
"You may speak in a less formal tone, my chef," Sukuna said nonchalantly.
"As you wish, my lord."
"Very well!"

As the man prepared himself and sat near the table to eat, suddenly he felt something.
"Interesting! The cursed energy around the world is tilting. Due to my presence, strong sorcerers were being born, but suddenly the birth of cursed spirits has increased strikingly. Who could have caused this change?"
"My lord, what could you mean by that?"
"Nothing. I just felt something," he chuckled and gazed at the sky.
"It seems that things are going to get interesting."

"I am getting tired of waiting. Uraume, bring the food."
"My apologies, Lord Sukuna, for making you wait. Here it is."

The General's Report

After some time...

"My lord, here is the child of the traitor and your grandson," said the general.

"What happened to my son and his mistress?" asked the head of the zenin clan

"They were killed, my lord. It seems someone hired Tetsu for it."

"I knew we should have killed that nobody with no cursed energy, but how was he able to kill the Ten Shadows?"

"It is due to—" The general explained briefly.

"Who knew it would come down to that?" said the head of the Zenin clan.

"This is getting worse. Due to the death of the Ten Shadows technique user, the face of the Zenin clan is being damaged. This could be because of those nobodies in the clan, but we can't do anything if this is true."

The Zenin clan had faced a huge loss, having lost a sorcerer of the Ten Shadows. This loss was amplified by that 'incident' that occurred over 20 years ago. The clan had a unique structure of governance:

The main family: Holding the primary rules and regulations of the clan.

The three branch families: One for military, one for the economy of the clan (mainly funding for their weaponry, jewellery, etc.).

The further branch families: Cannon fodder soldiers, often mixed-blood with nameless and lesser clans.

Due to that 'incident', the royal and elite soldiers had died, and their military might was now mostly composed of further branch families, creating huge dependencies on them which has increased their political power in the clan.

This imbalance had left the clan in a vulnerable position. Even if they knew which 'further' branch families were behind it, they couldn't do anything about it because of their dependence on them.

However, it seems that the world had the gifted the clan a lifeline through the birth of the child bearing the legendary Six Eyes.

Within the 48 hours the information that the child with six eyes has been born circulated through the entire big power clan in Japan, due to his mixed blood a clan meeting has been issued.

The Clan Meeting

The three Great clan heads the Zenin, Gojo and the Kamo clan sit down, the atmosphere is eerily calm, no one spoke, till he broke the silence by...

"His father is supposed to be the future head of the Zenin clan, so he must be taken care of by the Zenin," said Satoshi Zenin, the father of Hiroshi.

"Who would start the meeting in this manner? I just sat down!" said the Kamo head.
"He is born with the Six Eyes, so he must be taken care of by the Gojo clan," said the elder of the Gojo clan.

"Are you forgetting that his father is part of the Zenin clan? The clan has more rights to him."

"You mean the clan that's dependent on its nobodies for military strength?" said the Gojo head.
"What did you say?!"

"Did you perhaps not hear? it seems the old age is catching up-to you now"

"Look what we have here—getting so worked up over a small reason. Do you want to start a war between the two clans? The state of the jujutsu world is in complete imbalance. The world is still suffering the after-effects of the 'massacre incident,'" said the Kamo clan head nonchalantly.

"Don't you speak of that incident so lightly! You know how many people we lost in that battle!" the Gojo head's voice echoing in the room.

"Even though you know about its existence, you're still arguing over a petty reason. It seems you want to wage a war over a child," said the Kamo head.

"In contrast to you, the Gojo and Zenin clans had often meetings and agreements for the balance of power and the welfare of each clan," said the Zenin head.

"Due to the 'massacre incident', I have to attend various meetings resulting in more work to do hence I couldn't join the great 'clan meeting', said the Kamo head.

"We're getting quite sidetracked here. The baby must be handed to the Gojo clan, as he has the Six Eyes and more of their genes passed down to him than the Zenin clan," said the Gojo head.

"You must be forgetting that his father is from the Zenin clan, so your point doesn't hold any weight," said the Zenin head.

The birth of the child with the blood of both the Gojo and Zenin clans, he was not only strong but also possessed the Six Eyes. The Zenin clan didn't want to lose this treasure of the Gojo clan, as it could give them a power monopoly in the jujutsu world.

Tengen's Proposition

The meeting has come to halt due to the presence of the Great shinki, who is the most loyal retainer of Tengen-sama.

"The clan heads, I am here on behalf of The Great Tengen, to deliver the message to convey her words to you leaders.

"Does she want to interfere in this matter?"

After hearing the news, the clan heads began to wander their thoughts for the reason, The Gojo Clan realizing the reason, asked the retainer to start reading the letter...

"You could take leave now shinki, we will take appropriate actions according to her wishes and send her a letter" says the Kamo head.

"As you wish Great Lord."

He would take his leave, the letter from tengen has brought interesting takes on the birth of Six Eyes.

"It would seem Tengen-sama is requesting that we train this child," said the Zenin head.

"We could get him back for the humiliation caused by the massacre incident," said the Kamo head.

"That's true! We now have a weapon that can kill that monster. This is perfect!" said the Gojo clan head.

"But I do not want him becoming a hero and getting fame and glory for it. He is the child of a traitor who went against the most important rule of the clan—inter-clan marriage and children," said the Zenin head.

"But Tengen-sama is asking us to glorify him as the future hero," said the Gojo head.

"No matter how great she is, she is still a woman. We will just carry out some part of the wishes, but we must do it secretly?" said the Zenin head.

"So now we will discuss weaponizing the kid," said the Kamo head.

Even though the Kamo clan had no direct ties to this problem, their significant contribution to the infamous massacre incident meant they became part of this plan, causing various problems and imbalances in the agreements. After many binding vows and contracts, the crisis was resolved—at least for the moment.
