Hey guys here is the next chapter, I hope you like it.

Chapter Ten

( Virgil's POV )

Flying home all I did was keep glancing at Claire like I still can't believe she back with us, She was asleep the moment we took off heading home. I had put a blanket over her to keep her warm, I know I'm being like a mother hen but I have to make it up to Claire.

Blaming myself for not protecting my little sister, I wouldn't blame Claire is she doesn't want to be near me or if she blames me for getting hurt this time.

Almost jumping when I felt a hand on my shoulder, I must have been miles away in my own thoughts.

I look to the person standing there. "Grandma….. sorry I was miles away, is there something you need?"

She smiles at me gently. "I just wanted to see if you're ok dear"

I didn't want to talk about how I was feeling, so I tell my Grandma a little lie. "I'm ok Grandma, I was just thinking that it will be good to be home"

I could tell that she wasn't convinced that I'm ok, but I just wanted to talk to Claire first. I want to and feel that I need to apologize and to beg her for forgiveness, I wouldn't be surprised if Claire doesn't forgive me.

After I wasn't going to say anything else, my Grandma went and sat back down in her seat.

Sensing movement next to me I turn to Claire, she leans her head on my shoulder and I couldn't help smiling.

Wrapping my arm around her I whisper to her. "I promise to make it up to you, I'll protect you by training myself and get stronger"

I meant every word I just said to my sleeping sister, I'm going to get stronger…. So I can protect Claire and our brothers.

Feeling tired from worrying about Claire and from thinking too much, that my head hurt. I'm not normally one who gets sick, being a medic does have it's perks at keeping yourself and everyone else healthy.

Before I can think about resting my eyes, Scott's voice came over the intercoms.

He says calmly. "We are about to land on Tracy Island, please put your seat belts on and remain seated thank you"

I hear the others put their seat belts on, lucky for Claire and me that we already have ours on.

Once we landed and Tracy One was back in the hanger, I undone mine and Claire's seat belts. Gently picking my sister up without waking her up, I carry her up to the living room, I put her down on the sofa gently.

I know that I should go and help the others to bring our bags up, but I didn't want to leave Claire on her own.

After getting a blanket from the end of the sofa, I put it over Claire then lifting her feet up I sat down with her feet on my lap.

Hearing foot steps I turn my head to see Scott walk in, he gently lifted Claire's head and sat down with her head on his lap. I was surprised that Claire didn't wake up, I guess the pain relief was strong and that make her sleep.

Looking to Scott as he asked me. "How are you holding Virge?"

I couldn't help myself and sigh. "I can't help keep blaming myself, if I was stronger I could have stopped Claire from being taken and hurt"

I could tell that Scott was going to say that I'm not to blame, and that Claire wouldn't blame me either.

We talked for while and keeping our voices down, so we didn't disturb our sleeping little sister. A few times I had to tell Gordon and Alan to keep it down, Claire had stirred a few times but stayed asleep.

Just before dinner Claire had woke up and it took her a few minutes, She looks to me with a confused look.

I smile softly at her and say. "Hey little sister welcome home, how do you feel?"

Watching her carefully as she replies to me. "Home I'm finally home…. I still have a headache and my arm hurts"

I knew that Claire would have a headache as she got kicked in the head, but her arm shouldn't hurt to the point that she would tell me that she's in pain.

I make the decision to check Claire's arm, I'm worried that the bone has moved out of place.

I hold her good hand in my hand. "I can check your arm if you want me to"

She nods her head. "Yes please Virgie"

I help my sister down to the medical room, I did a scan on her arm and found why she was in pain.

I look at Claire seriously. "I'm going to have to operate on your arm, the break is rubbing against each other"

I could see how worried she is and that she was in a lot of pain, I tell her that she won't be alone and that I can ask father and Scott to be there.

After I had set everything up and ready, I look up and see Scott and our father walk in. after we scrub up and went over to Claire, Scott helped me with resetting her arm and dad help her hand.

Once I reset the bone and used pins to hold the bones in place, after I closed the incision and recast her arm. I gave her some pain relief to help ease the pain.

( Jeff's POV )

After hearing that Virgil had to reset Claire's arm, I'm going to sue the hospital in Paris for not checking my daughter's arm properly. They should have checked Claire over properly, I was so angry that they neglected to check my little girl over properly.

Right now I'm sitting by Claire while we were eat, Virgil wanted to keep her in the medical overnight.

Looking to the door as it opened I see Scott come in with some Apple pie with dish's and spoons, I couldn't help chuckling and shaking my head.

Turning to Claire as she spoke. "I hope Grandma didn't catch you, because the last time you got caught….. you was grovelling and apologizing to her for a week"

It didn't surprise me that my children would get up to mischief, the times they would get up to something like pranking each other. Or one sibling helping out another sibling when they got into trouble, I'm glad that they have a strong sibling bond and I couldn't ask more of them.

We watched a movie while we ate our apple pie, I stayed by Claire's side even when my boys went out on rescues.

Looking back I know it hasn't been easy for us all, things that happened to my family only made us stronger.

Even now as my daughter comes to terms with what happened, she knows that we are here for her.

Putting my hand gently on Claire's shoulder, I wait till she looks at me. "Claire I want you to know that I'm here for you if need to talk, and your brothers are here for you too"

I watch as she takes in what I said. "I know you all are….. although Virgil had been a little distant to me"

I couldn't help sighing. "It's because he blames himself for you getting kidnapped and hurt, he feels like he failed you….. that he couldn't protect you"

I watch her as she closed her eyes then opened them again, she had tears falling down her face.

Wrapping my arms around Claire and let her Cry, I waited till she calmed down.

She looks up at me and she says. "I don't blame Virgil nor would I ever blame him, he tried to stop them….. but Virgil was outnumbered"

I could see that Claire was telling the truth. "You need to tell Virgil that, don't worry I'll make sure no one disturbs you both"

She nods her head and promised me that she would talk to Virgil, she even said that she would talk to Scott too.

There was something different about my daughter, but I wasn't going to ask her as I don't want to upset her or push the matter.

For now I'm just going to be there for her and my boys, if only Lucy could see how grown up our children are. She would be proud of them and how far they have come, I'm proud of my children for what they have done and are doing.

Looking down at Claire I see her asleep and that she looked peaceful, But I know that she might have nightmares and we all will be there to chase them away.

While Claire is sleeping I got on with some paperwork, I had brought them down to the medical room after her arm was reset and put in a new cast.

Looking up I see Virgil with a cup of coffee, I could see how tired he looked and that he needed some sleep.

Getting up and walking over to Virgil I say to him. "Son why don't you get some sleep"

I nodded my head towards the bed next to Claire's, seeing that Virgil was going to protest but he nods his head and walked over to the bed. After Virgil had climbed onto the bed, I put a blanket over him and watched as Virgil fell asleep facing Claire.

Going back to what I was doing and finishing the last of the paperwork, I hear the door open and see Scott walk in with his brothers and Grandma.

After talking for a while they fell asleep peacefully, I was left to my thoughts and the quietness.

I don't mind watching over my children as they slept, the only sound you could here was their soft breathing and Alan saying cheeseburgers now and then.
