Bob the Bards tale of the Six Mighty Adventurer's Miserable Adventure

Chapter 1

A certain bard vanished from his room with no one noticing his absence.

As the sun rose the next day over the Great Keep of Saffin the maid that cleans Bob's room came upon an odd pile of cloths and magic items with a glowing tome beside them on a reading stand. She recognized Bob's cloths and some of his items amongst the scattered writing material on the reading stand. But most worrying to her was the open and glowing magic tome so she high tailed it to report her find.

As his bosses, six mighty adventurers gathered to study the scene they remembered that Bob had been studying a recently found ancient magical tome that seemed full of whimsical children's tales.

The six adventurers debated the fate of their number one side kick and agreed Bob should still be alive. They looked at each other and decided that they had to go rescue their favourite minion. But first the mysterious tome with its glowing letters had to be examined and Ani the elven mage stepped up to the tome and began to give a general description.

He described that there seems to be a detailed sketch of Bob riding a lizard creature in one corner of the first page with lots of scrollwork and detailed drawings running along the pages edges. A small inscription is at the top but below that there is blurry magical golden writing that was very slowly appearing on the page.

Let's see what the inscription says. "By continuing to read after the end of this sentence you willfully enter into an adventure. You feel a strange sensation come over you as things seem to slow down and your vision fades along with your consciousne… "

As Ani was reading these words he started to become transparent until he vanished and his cloths and all his items fell to the floor.

Loro the elven master thief/fighter groaned. "Ah Hells, just what has my nephew gotten himself into this time". Loro had promised his own brother to protect the twin youngsters; now one had just up and vanished into thin air. Loro moved up to the tome and gathered up his nephews belongings and passed them over (minus a few nice items he openly "Ooh that looks nice" borrowed) to Tulo the other twin brother.

Then he turned to the tome and quickly confirmed Ani's description of the page before Loro began to read the same clear words up to the end of the opening sentence. Loro paused there and waited for a bit but did not disappear.

He stated that it seems safe up to the end point of the first sentence just as it states. So it looks like the two are probably stuck in an adventure that is being written down in the tome as we speak. Loro read out loud the first sentence again plus just the first word of the next sentence to test it. After reading the first extra word Bob paused then soon felt strange and lost consciousness.

The others watched Loro slowly vanish after reading the one extra word, leaving behind a pile of "not" pilfered goods. The remaining four adventurers agreed to go into the tomes adventure, leaving the great keeps steward in charge once again. Then the other twin brother Tulo the cleric read the lines, followed by Ransarn the ranger, Princess Xena the archer and lastly Ghengis the barbarian who had difficulty reading the passage before he too entered the adventure.
