I know. I know. I still haven't updated Blood is the Answer and Cold Blood but, counter point: I had a cool idea. You don't really need to know anything about warhammer for this story because it's not going to go into lore whatsoever. Anyways, enjoy.

Awaken

I struggled. It was a constant for me, for everyone in this god forsaken city. But this time, the struggle was more literal, and more impactful for my survival. The only reason I was still conscious was because my broken legs and dislocated shoulders kept getting jolted as I was dragged. My vision was blurry from my one remaining eye and blood leaked from my eye socket into my mouth, not that there wasn't already blood in my mouth from my broken jaw and missing teeth. Breathing was especially difficult due to the bullet holes in my lungs.

With what was left of my vision, I could see blurry figures dressed in red and green, the colors of the ABB. what they were doing so close to the boardwalk, I didn't know, but all I knew was that I was going to die, and my girlfriend was going to disappear into one of their brothels. Hence my struggle that led to where I am now. Feeling my legs get lifted, I groaned out in pain. My entire world swayed before I began to fall. I hit something and began to sink into a cold liquid. The ocean, I'm sinking into the ocean.

My vision got darker and darker as I sank into the murk. As I died, I thought I may have seen a pair of red eyes before everything disappeared.

I awoke. Everything was dark, and cold. The ground beneath me was solid, if just barely, opening my eye led to me looking straight into a pair of glowing red eyes. The area around me was peaceful. Glowing white flowers in an expansive field that seemed to stretch endlessly.

"Perfect, you are awake."

I tried to speak, but no sound would come from my throat.

"Ah, don't worry about speaking, I am simply here to inform you of your demise, and resurrection."

I blinked, or at least, I think I did. It was hard to tell with how destroyed my body was.

"See, I have a job where I have to resurrect people with interesting powers and then let them loose into the multiverse to combat some…" The being paused, lifting a pale hand to it's chin, stroking a non-existent beard, "Rival organisations."

I was thoroughly confused by what the being was describing. Sure, I had heard of the multiverse theory, but I had no clue what this being wanted me to do on alternate earths. The being looked at me once again before snapping its fingers.

"Right, you already have an idea of what the multiverse theory is, but it is incorrect. See, I'm not just going to have you go through your own little universal cluster, I'm going to have you go through a much more broad multiverse. Think bigger than just alternate earths. Think books, and games. Think of rules beyond physics and then, you are only halfway there." the being chuckled to itself. "You'll understand once you eat a few gods, anyways, I wish you the best of luck, Captain."

The floor gave out beneath me, and I fell, everything went dark once more and I fell into a deep slumber.

I awakened once more, this time I felt wet. Opening my remaining eye, I watched as trash flowed past me in the currents of the ocean. Taking stock of myself, I found that whatever the thing was earlier, It had put be back together a bit. My limbs were unbroken, I was no longer bleeding, and my clothes were mostly repaired. I was still missing an eye, and most of all, I wasn't breathing. Panicking a bit, I reached for my neck, trying to feel a heartbeat. My skin was cold, and I could not find any beat. I thrashed about in the water, trying to find anything to calm myself, failing horribly. I closed my eye and started counting, hoping to get a grip. Instead, I was met with two currents in my vision, one purple, and one a dark blue. Reaching for the purple one, I felt energy coursing through me, overwhelming me, causing me to open my eye, and silently scream. The little bit of underwater plant life around me withered and died, as a single fish died and then rotted away before me. I slowly fell forward into the silt, wracked with pain from the energy, but also feeling, refreshed? I looked at my hands feeling that my hand couldn't close all the way, finding that one of them clutched a small ball of purple energy. It remained coherent even when I dropped it, rolling around in the minor current until it bumped into a boot, where it dispersed and then rushed into the boot.

I almost jumped back, as I watched a corpse that the boot was attached to start twitching. It stood slowly, facing me and just staring blankly. The corpse had probably once been a member of the Empire, considering the remaining flesh on the skull had a swastika tattooed on it. I walked around the corpse, poking it a few times to see if it would do anything, but it just stood there. Closing my eye again, I could see a line of purple going from me to the corpse, but it felt incomplete. I reached for the dark blue current, trying to see what that would do, if it would complete this corpse. It didn't, it just whipped up the currents around me and sent the corpse far away into the deep.

I couldn't quite sigh, but I reached through the line connecting me to the corpse and could still feel it. It seemed to react and before long, I saw the corpse walking towards me. It seems that I had some sort of master breaker power that allowed me to raise the dead and control water. The water control was unfortunate due to leviathan existing, but the master power could help a bit.

I suddenly jolted. My girlfriend, Madison. She was still in the hands of the ABB. I clenched my teeth and started to march towards where the shore probably was. It was slightly up which was helpful. Along the way, I found more corpses drowned in the water. I touched one of the corpses and reached for the purple current, willing it to flow into the body, raising it. This corpse had a machete stuck in its skull. I reached for it and yanked it out. The corpse stood there, seemingly unaffected by the hole in its head. I raised more corpses on my way to shore, gathering a small host of 17 corpses. I had tried giving one of them a machete, but it had stopped its march and began hitting the metal with a rock, so I left it bringing me down to 16.

I ended up being able to see light from the surface at some point, which told me exactly where I was, the docks. The docks were deep in ABB territory, which was perfect for me. Finding one of the ladders that once probably helped people in small boats get up onto the docks, I climbed up. My host of corpses followed me, though they were pretty slow. Once I was out of the water and in the sun I winced in pain. The sun was bright, and really hurt my skin. I looked back at my host, seeing them start to smoke a bit in the sunlight. I tried to growl in annoyance, but ended up just coughing up a large amount of water.

"Follow me," I rasped out to my corpses.

A chorus of groans from the corpses behind me responded. I didn't know much about capes or the gangs, but I did know that the ABB controlled much of the docks area and probably was holed up in several of the warehouses in the area. I marched straight towards the nearest one. We climbed over the chain link fence and I had two of my undead rip at the doors. Their strength was surprising, as they ripped the chains holding the door closed apart. I had them walk in first and I followed to see what was going on in the building. There wasn't anything about the building that screamed ABB, but there were some homeless people hiding in corners. Looking upon them, I felt annoyed. Annoyed that they should live, while I died. That they didn't have the one they loved, ripped from their arms while being beaten to death. My undead stood, ready to receive their orders and I only hesitated for a second before I opened my mouth.

"Kill them all."

The undead lurched forward and pounced on the poor people who had the misfortune of existing. Instead of just killing them here though, the undead did something different. They grabbed a person each, and then left the building, going towards the ocean once again. I frowned as I followed. There had been only 7 people in the building, so the other undead went to the fence and ripped it apart. We quickly marched back into the water, the homeless people calling for help the whole time. I growled in annoyance, where was the help when I called for it?

The undead jumped into the water, dragging the living with them to the bottom. I looked back to be sure we weren't followed and then jumped in myself. The ocean felt nice, and it rejuvenated me. Looking to the living, their struggles lessened and lessened as they drowned and died. I reached for them with the purple current and raised them. Once I reached the 20th undead, I felt a sort of feeling at the back of my head. I stopped using the current, and frowned. I felt like if I just twisted the current a little differently I could…

The corpse in front of me spasmed and then started to get weird. Its legs disappeared, going into its arms to lengthen them, its jaws unhinged and lengthened as well. Its skin got super pale and then it disappeared from view for a second. The side of its head grew some sort of bigger ears and its head grew bigger to stay proportional to the rest of its body.

It was all in all. An abomination, but it would probably help, especially with the stranger rating it seemed to have. The only issue I had with it is that it was tiring to make. I didn't feel physically fatigued, but mentally. I raised the other three corpses without any fuss and then watched as the one undead that was left behind came back. In its hand, the machete that I had handed it had turned into a cutlass. It saluted me before speaking.

"Awaiting orders, captain."
